Towne Mall in Franklin
This place has a nice layout, lots of parking, a good location including close to the highway. It used to be nice to go to: big enough but not too big, and used to have a nice variety of good stores. I say used to be nice because now its awful. Almost all the stores are closed, used to have three big anchor stores- none now. It went completely downhill as an inept and greedy management jacked up store rent and drove businesses out. Corporate greed killed this place, its a real shame.
Always clean, working on New projects business to be there! Currently they have a busy Planet Fitness by the front of the mall, A busy Burlington and Gabes with a new Chipotle in their lot (opened 2020), Cincinnati Nails, a Cincinnati Hair Salon, Checkers 2, and Affordable appliances. One check them out! On the outside skirt by Towne Blvd, they also have Buffalo wild winds, Aspen Dental, GNC, and a haircut place.
Thereβs nothing left here. But I remember being a child, 7 or so, and going to the mall with my family. It was always so busy and the store fronts were all occupied. We would go to Dillardβs and sears to get stuff. If my brother and I were well behaved, we got to go to the toy store and RadioShack. Our favorite restaurant was the place that served subs and had good fries (donβt remember the name but I know the place was blue.) weβd head over to the candy store after.Itβs sad to even look at now.
I like this planet fitness. The staff was Friendly and efficient. The gym was clean and everything was in good working order. There are a few PF gyms in my area and so far all of them are top notch. The only complaint I have is the free weight section is not sufficient. This seems to be the norm at all PF sites which is a shame because not everyone wants to use only machines.
What can I say it is the mall thats been dying for 10 years very seldomly is it a place we visit. Some businesses have come and gone bringing new life then diminishing quickly. Around the mall has flourished but in the mall has not. Always feels more or less a ghost town. Only bath and body works for a bout 15 minutes so if your in need it is a go to.
In Town Mall as it is is almost dead. The only thing keeping me alive is Burlingtons and Gabes. My sister and I went to Gabes and found some nice birthday presents for my niece we check at Burlingtons and Gabes often but the rest of the mall is empty to my knowledge. Its worth the trip just for these two stores.
I did not really go shopping at the mall I am a dumpster Dover and they r all compacted dumpster. Some of these stores throw away great stuff just because it gets returned they aint allowed to resell it. I would rather let some e get it out of the trash then filling up landfills save the planet
Always enjoyed Lowes all across the country.but Jim at the pro front desk is just a mess.. he could mess up an order if the only thing on it was a glass of water.good thing that the management team and Chuck in the delivery end are there to pick up his mess.. Thats the one thing that is saving our business from not being in any other Lowes or home Depot shop $
I went Kroger in the town mall area. This Kroger is a market place Kroger. They have clothes, shoes, men women and kids. Also have other things like sheets, towels, and pictures. And of course food. Store is very clean. All the workers I have came in contact are friendly. This store has a few self checkout lanes for quick in and out items.
As the demographics of our shopping experience change. From malls to free-standing stores there is a struggle to keep places open. Shop local as much as you can so you have that brick-and-mortar store to go to. This mall is Reinventing itself and I look forward to seeing more stores open in the near future. Right off the highway it will be convenient to shop. Stopped in at Burlingtons which is a nice store. Was able to find what I was looking for.
This is a hotbed of supernatural energy. Ive, several times reached higher plateaus of consciousness while emerged in the local infinite dance of cosmic forces. Just bend a metal coat-hanger into a triangle and hold it above your head in the center of the complex. Your own energy will be used to create a portal to the other place. I can not speak of it further. Theyre watching...
Theres not much remaining at the mall since the collapse of big box stores, but Im hoping that Planet Fitness will bring some stores back with an influx of younger crowds. A few diners have made their way in, but Middletown has lost quite a lot since Sears, Target, and Elder-Beerman have departed.
Visited Platos Closet and Once Upon a Child to try to sell some extra clothing that we no longer need the staff at both places was very friendly however they did not purchase many of my items which was new and I know theyre in style so I dont know really nothing bad to say
Its a shame the new owner wont allow the free tax service to return just because of a chipotle being built (The constructionwill just cause such a mess for people trying to get in) π. He at least had a chance with some business during tax season. Seems like another owner in a position he shouldnt be.
There is no reason to go into the mall and even the anchor stores are leaving. Gabes doesnt even have an entrance to the main part of the mall - which should tell you something. If I wanted a quite place to read or do some work on a my laptop - it might be a good place to go thou.
As a Middletown native, Ive seen the rise and fall of this mall. There are a few cool stores surrounding the mall, but going into the actual mall it looks abandoned with all of the closed up shops. Almost spooky. But hopefully in the future, more stores will move in to stay and help revive the mall.
Former out of state owners ruined this place! Dont expect it to survive but would be great if new owner can improve. Looking a little better, no food. Miss Dillardsπ, Hallmark, Murrays old fashioned store.Elder Beerman closed recently also(corporate struggling)Good bye, Sears. The vultures are in force here.
The staff is very vengeful they judge people and laugh at folks my fiance had work there and told me how they would carry on about people behind their back so its not a judgement-free Zone they break in lockers cut off lock and take peoples items out of this Middletown location I wouldnt advise going here maybe the other one in Fairfield the ones that are nicer I would not recommend this gym....
I love Town mall with all of the shops at they have in it. Very convenient place lots of great places to shop at. Is conveniently located and most of the stores hire great Personnel will really help you out when you need it. Would definitely recommend this place to others.
My kids and I call it The Dead Mall. This place would be a great hideout during a zombie apocalypse, and you still cant beat the anchor stores (and Bath and Body Works is here!). Still wish theyd get more stores open, or redesign it to someplace we can shop (outlet mall, maybe?)
Updating my review. From two stars to 4. This place has more around it now then it did when I placed my two star rating. Gabes is here and this plave is great to get some really great cloths for great prices not to mention the other things they offer at gabes. There is a gym there planet fitness ,that is good for the area. I been there a few times and it offers a lot then the other gym i used to go to. I am just not a gym person atm. There is also some nice restaurants just around it and they just recently opened up a BW3s not too long ago. All that said there still needs more growth with in the mall its self.
Ita a great place for mall walkers. Hopefully they get some stores in there soon. Rogers jewelery store is there and still open. Bath and body works is still there. Too bad there is no place to really shop there. I remember my grandma and i always goinh to the mall to shop. That was when there was places to shop and eat.
Very disapointed. ..im a planet fitness black card member and also....a truck driver. I try to stick to the far ends of parking lot. Sometimes behind the mall if i can. I visited over 25 different location of planet fitness. Often located in malls. FIRST time i receive a parking violation warning. No truck parking signs were visible. Sad when you are just there for an hour or two
Well, I drove through Towne Malls parking lot today, the western part of it, and I was very angry about the huge pot holes I had to attempt to dodge. Why cant the owners of the mall realize that their horrible parking lot is not only an eye sore, but truly causing damage to the vehicles driving through it? Also, it doesnt help business much, so why dont they fix it? I mean who wants to drive through a horrible parking lot, just to shop at a couple new mediocre stores? Fix the parking lot, and bring in some better stores, not just these discount retailers. I would love an Old Navy, and maybe bring back Claires.
This mall has been dieing for several years now. It was in decline when about 7 to 10 years ago someone in the mall hierarchy put out a notice that the mall was closing. They went so far as to evict shopowners. Then, they changed their minds. Too late for most of the smaller shops. They couldnt recover. Then one by one stores like Dunhams left. Then Radio Shack went under. Now Sears. The place is darn near empty.
I was at KFC and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a KFC! I dont even want to rate it! It sucked from the service down to the food! Then as I was walking to my car with my left overs for the dogs a customer sitting in his car stopped me thinking I worked there getting ready to tell at me because he had been waiting over 15 mins for them to fix his order!
The Towne Mall is the Star Wars of Middletown. It had its day, but the people trying to revitalize it now are just butchering the memory of what it use to be. Could it be great again? Absolutely! Just probably not with a nail salon and a soap store. The best thing this place has going for it is Planet Fitness, and its completely closed off to the mall itself. With other shopping centers close by, it doesnt seem like the Towne Mall is even trying to compete.
Even though towne mall doesnt have much right now (december 2019) they do have a great place to eat now called Mexi Rican restaurant and man the good it sooo good! I highly recommend you eat here , me and my brothers ate here and the steak tacos are awesome!! I actually come to the towne mall just for this one restaurant, give them a try you wont be sorry
Burlington is the only thing still open in this mall. I do like Burlington. This is the common ghost Town Mall in America. The anchor stores left a long time ago. If you need a shop that sells spinners, fidget cube, and nunchucks you can probably find all that here. Im told the bouncy castle thing is fun. I have never been, but my wife took our toddler and I heard it was fun.
Im actually trying to ponder if Towne Mall is worse than Cincy Mills mall.... Kind of a toss up actually.Theres a Sears, with a very limited selection, and an Elder-Bearman, a Bath and Body Works, and a Vitamin World.... Thats it.... Im not even sure if there 3 snack places could constitute a food court.Unless you need to go to Sears or E-B... I would probably avoid this place, as it seems everyone else does too...
Very few shops left in this mall, more of a place for mall walkers. They have a Bath & Body Works, GNC, and entrances to a few smaller department stores.*UPDATE*Bath & Body Works is closing, GNC has moved. I believe the only things that is left is a jewelry store. Sears and Elder Beerman is gone as well.
Offers every possible store that I would shop at including Meijers and Walmart on the same street. Also has an array of restaurants from casual dine in like Applebees and Golden Corral as well as alot of fast food stops. Plus Krogers is even located there so you cant all your shopping done in one place.

2019-10-10We LOVE Halloween π and Spirit Halloween has everything youβll need to snatch up a first place award for best costume! The props are always something the kiddos enjoy interacting with. The best part, you can purchase anything thatβs on display! This year they have added quite a lot to their boudoir section. Kids can choose from the most popular characters or combine items from several sections as Amira has and go as a Gypsy from a far away land...or so she says!

2019-05-27Theres nothing in the mall except planet fitness and Burlington. The Monroe outlets have made this into a vacant mall. I remember in 2000 -2003 the mall was booming with 90 % occupancy and a full food court. Once Elder Bierman and Sears closed in 2017 the place really hit rock bottom.

2020-09-08Great location for Spirit and I found that the Middletown location seemed to have more of a selection. Now granted, this may be due to them just opening the day I arrived, but there was more product available. Thats for sure. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable on their products and stock. Great atmosphere and layout. Loved it and will be going to this location from now on!

2020-09-01I went to shop at Gabes and I was amazed at all the items they had to sell. So many departments and super low prices on all of it. I spent too much time in the store because of everything they had to sell, I wanted to look at everything and take notice of all the price savings. Thank you Gabes for the awesome experience.

2018-02-13Likes the Halloween store... its gone now.. Burlington is pretty good. Its been a while since the mall has been actually filled with stores. I see the potential but there focusing a lot on the out side and around the mall not in it. Really like the available stores, restaurants, and gym they have brought to the area but the mall its self needs more stores.

2020-01-30Sad. I used to come here 30 years ago when it was bustling. Now it is decaying without an anchor store. Atmosphere is depressing. 2 stars for its potential. We went only to go into the new Peru/Mexican restaurant that opened on one end. The food was great, but the atmosphere sad with hardly anyone around.I give that place 9 months before the restaurant owners relocate. Why would anyone go to this mall anymore?
