Dont go here unless your time isnt valuable! I would give ZERO stars if I could. My daughter made TWO appointments to get her oil changed here...and never got it changed either time. Went in last week at her SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT time and was told it would be two hours before they could fit her in. She couldnt wait that long, so she rescheduled for today. Today she has been waiting 90 MINUTES past her SCHEDULED time, and they still havent started on her car. Why bother making an appointment if they will not come close to honoring the time?! Shes a college student with a busy schedule. She doesnt have time to stay for hours waiting for her car when they keep telling her your car is next. Really?! She made an appointment!! Not sure how this place gets positive reviews. She had to just leave and go somewhere else to get it changed. What a nightmare.
After a day of a flat tire, waiting on rides, Im 73 and I was just out of it. The young man that waited on me was so kind, courteous, and caring that he made my day complete. He didnt have to go out of his way like he did, and I really appreciate him and I told him that. You have a good employee there. Give him a raise.
Took my car to get my tires changed. The tires are fine now, however I’m pretty sure a staff member took my car for a joy ride because my shifter is loose now and two days after getting the car back it can’t accelerate past 30 mph, essentially making the car undriveable. I will call
Took my truck there to get a wheel alignment and they called saying I had a power steering leak. I didnt have one when I dropped it off that morning. I even checked my driveway and the spot I parked it in at the shop when I dropped it off, and both spots was dry. The leak so bad that it drain my power steering reservoir within an hr. My truck had a lift on it, I would notice a huge puddle of fluid if there had been one previously. I understand no support is perfect and make mistakes but at least own up to them.
I wish I could’ve given ZERO stars. Been taking my car here for regular maintenance to only find out they have never been doing the full job. Clogged & dirty filters, left cap off transmission so fluid ran completely out, they were paid to replace mass air flow sensor, was not done. This place has been taking my money & wasting my time! Never go here! Under no circumstance!
These guys really go above and beyond! Every time I’m in the lobby I hear the stuff they have to go thru and I just want to say that I appreciate you! Keegan does a great job in such a overwhelming position. I hope you are all appreciated because there’s not many people that could work in this high stress environment and keep a positive attitude. Ordered replacement tire on Saturday, made appointment for 2:00p Tuesday all online. Arrived 15 minutes early and work was done less than 1/2 hour later. Staff were all friendly and professional to a fault. Five stars ⭐️ well earned as over the past 12 years with various vehicles. Recently this Tireman replaced the AC compressor on my 2000 Mercedes 230 SLK and did fine comprehensive work. Great work, friendly thorough estimate and booking.
Scheduled an appointment online for an oil change at 3:30 and was told that they could not honor it and that I should not have been able to schedule an appointment for that time anyway. Very frustrating and not very friendly. Glad I wasted my time racing across town for this.
17 days ago, it was 01/29/2019. I did OIL change in Tireman, and you guys told me to need extra 15 dollars to do something for my battery, I knew Tireman is big,also i thought you guys are specialists, so I trusted you guys, I paid 15 dollars to do it. After fixing my car, I checked it, you guys changed the connector in the battery and threw the red small box, it was on the connector. I thought you guys are specialists, did it is right, so I did not care it. But after 17 days, it is today when I drive my car on the road, the electric power system shut up 1-2 seconds !!! I back to home and checked my car, I found when the rod touch the connector, it will have electric spark!!! That is the reason why my car shut up the electric power system. I changed that battery for less than three months! Now I know that small box was working protecting the connector, but you guys threw it and did not back to me! I trusted you guys, but now, it brought danger!!!
At the last minute, l discovered a leak in my tire, just before a 2 1/2 hour drive to Columbus the next day. They fit me in, found two holes in my tire, & they did their best to expedite my tire repair. I was pleased with their service, & grateful that l was able to travel without concern because of it. I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.
First I dropped my car off at 8am for an oil change and a tire rotation. I didnt get my car back till 3:30. Then after I called to get an update they called me back 5 min later saying my car was done. I go to pick it up and they cant find my key or paperwork come to find out the kid working the desk put the wrong name in as Veronica or Jessica.
They did with the other Tire Man on Monroe didn’t do, Took my car to Tire Man on Monroe downtown Toledo where they kept my car for over 24 hours because they said they ran out of tires but then they never even changed my tires when I brought it back they told me nothing was wrong and that they wasn’t gonna change my tire because of two gouges in them but central change my tires so I do appreciate that
My husband and I were in bind. Were from Michigan and ended up stranded overnight because everything was closed. We got the our car towed from competition (Costco) tires were much more expensive the wait was much longer. BRAD made such our rim was repaired and we received 2 very affordable reliable tires. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. We are very thankful for his service he was very empathetic to our situation and did everything he could 5 ⭐s.
Quick, professional... Changing and dealing with so many tires, they know what theyre doing. Went in for my appointment to get new tires and it took under an hour. I was very pleased. Waiting area could use some attention and the chairs need cleaned but its a tire store... Overall I recommend 👍
I used the online service to schedule my appointment and it was pretty seamless. I dropped off at 9 AM and picked up by 11 AM. Techs were friendly and helpful with my questions. Would give 5 stars but Tireman needs to increase staffing at the front desk. At drop off and pick up there was a long wait, not because staff wasnt working efficiently but because they needed additional staff to man the front desk.
I dropped my vehicle off at 5 pm on a Friday for a tire repair. They close at 6 pm and state they cant get to it until Saturday morning. No big deal. I call at 12:30 pm on Saturday to check in, and Im told my vehicle is the next one up to be looked at. OK, thats fine. Its 3:15 pm, they close at 4 pm, so I call again. Im told my tire was repaired and they just hadnt had time to call me. A little annoying since they were closing soon but I followed up, so ok. The technician left the dirty paper mat in my vehicle. Fine, I got my vehicle and Ill throw it away when I get home. I get home and before I go in the house I notice the technician never put the cap back on the air valve. Ultimately three gripes, so three stars taken away.Just an additional comment to follow up on Waynes response (thank you by the way). The first thing you mentioned was the tire I referenced missing the cap for the air valve when I brought it in. Thats not true. I wouldnt have wrote the review had you at least put the cap that was originally on there back on. No worries. I made a special trip to Autozone and paid $3 for a four pack of them. I brought in my Platinum Escalade and brought 4 brand new rims in boxes that was from Cadillac dealership and bought brand new tires from them and they scratched each and every one of the 4 rims also kept my truck outside overnight UNLOCKED . They did not fix none of my rims like they said they were after they seen the damage they did and they kept my truck for a week straight without doing anything to it, because they felt that they weren’t at fault.
I have been going to Tireman for years, mainly this location. service has always been great. I got 4 new tires this visit. I asked the guys not to put the old wheel covers on because I bought new ones. when I picked my car up the guy had went above and beyond by putting my new wheel covers on for me! a task that probably would have taken me an hour. I was so thankful.
My steering wheel started to shaking hard after tire rotation and it was not drivable at all. The tireman guys didnt even check the car before calling me for pickup in Saturday afternoon.For fixing this issue I went there for second time and they charge me for a pair of new tire as a cause of problems!!!Im not satisfied with service and will not go there anymore.
I came to get an oil change, I dropped my car off at noon and at 6 pm when I came back to get my car it was really loud when I started it up because there was no oil in my car. How was oil forgotten on an oil change? Also I purchased tires in March and I have had to put air in new tires every week since I purchased them. Instead of getting new tires they keep filling up the tires with air telling me to come back. Every single time I come back they do the exact same thing. I have went to all of them so they can check out these tires. Needless to say I will never be back to tire man again
The guys at Tireman were friendly, courteous, and very accommodating with scheduling me in for service. The only issue I had was that after dropping my car off at 8:00 AM my car was not ready by the requested time of 3:30. I had other places to go so waiting an extra 20 minutes was not convenient. Would I go to Tireman again? Yes, absolutely!
This location is often times busy, but the people working here truly care about providing quality service in a timely manner. The staff are very friendly and patient with their customers. I come to these guys with most of my car troubles and they never let me down! Thank you Tireman Team!
Worst experience ever! Took my car for an alignment they called and told me it needed more than an alignment, it needs front tire rods and a control arm and recommended 2 new tires. I previously bought 4 tires from them this year (they couldn’t find it in the system at first). Told me a price of $327 and some change with tax included. Then proceeded to tell me that they didn’t receive all the parts to fix the car and would have to keep it over night and should be done by 11. I told them that was fine just put all the old parts in the trunk and I would be there after 4. Next day comes I go to get my car at about 4 the cashier tells me $457 and some change. I let him know that I was not told that over the phone it was $327 and some change. Cashier talks to the manager and adjusts it to $400. I then asked how did it get that high anyway he then tells me the tires were $25/tire. I stopped him and said tires were included in the price and were suppose to be free and I had $20 coupon. He talks with manager and comes back and he says he can’t change the price. So I told him to get the manager I was frustrated and upset. The manager comes out and tells me he can’t change the price. After a hour, alot of me yelling and asking for corporate number (he never gave me) he finally gets on the computer and gets it down to $322 and some change. I get home none of my parts are in the trunk. There was only 1 cashier and a lobby full of customers. I will never go there again. Yes I am a female.
This place is terrible at estimating times for completion. I needed a tire repaired and was in store at 7:45 am. It took 10 minutes for a person at the desk to meet with me for intake. He told me my car would be ready between 9 am and 10 am. At 10:30 am, I inquired about my car. They hadnt started work and the person working the counter had my car pulled in immediately.Ill drive out of my way to go to Belle Tire from now on. Id had a tire repaired there before and it was finished in under an hour.
Not complaining about the service to my car. It’s always good. Not happy that what I was told and what actually happened have been different the last few times they’ve had mine or my wife’s car. I called on Friday early afternoon to find out if it’s possible to get my oil changed that day. They said, most likely not as they were pretty busy. I asked if I drop it off that afternoon, they could do it Saturday morning. They said yes. Dropped it off and walked home (live in old orchard, not far from them). Was supposed to get a call in the morning when it’s done. Nothing. Called a little after 12 to check. They hadn’t even pulled it in yet. Said it would be done around 2. Both my wife and I were leaving and wouldn’t be able to pick it up at that time. Had to make arrangements to pay on line and pick the car up after hours. That’s the third or fourth time in a row, when they told me my car would be done, and when it actually was done was completely different and it affected plans we had. Not seeing the benefit of dropping your car off early in order to get it done quickly. It’s like they tell you one thing to get your car there, and then do something completely different.
Had a brake problem while visiting our grandkids in Ottawa Hills. Took the vehicle in on Monday morning and it was fixed and road ready by Tuesday noon. Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. Would use their services again without hesitation. Very pleased with the work that was done and the manner in which it was done.
I moved away from the Toledo area and still drive many miles, bypassing multiple service shops just for the service that i receive at the Tireman on Monroe in Toledo. I called other locations and was told to drop off my car for a day or two. This location has me in and out within an hour. Thank you Tireman!!
Went in for a replacement tire due to severely damaging tire and rashed rim on a concrete median. First individual attempted to tell me I needed all 4 tires replaced due to AWD. After calling dealership and learning tread depth is allowed to be 2/32 difference told store that I would not be replacing all four and only the one affected. Other tires had less than mm wear on them. Technician completed work of replacement but did not complete alignment check requested due to median strike. Waited additional hour for car to be taken back for alignment review. During that review technician rubbed the new tire and further damaged rim. No explanation was offered of potential issue when given the car, only an all set and alignment looks good. Did not see damage to tire/rim until left and was too late.
On June 12th I took my car in at 730am I was the 2nd customer waiting and did not get out until 2:30 in the afternoon for brakes and rotors put on my front end. I ended up having to take my car back and dropped it off on 7/20 at 630am because my brakes were not working well and to address some other issues I wanted to have checked out I received a call around noon letting me know that they would have to keep my car an additional day because they had cars from the day before they had to work on I told him to forget about the other issues just to take care of the brake issue & I did not get my car backuntil 5 this is very poor poor service Ive always taken my car to Tiremanissues I wanted to be addressed could not be done because they had too many cars from the day before that they had to work on when I drop my car off at 6:30ami dont understand why I have always gone to fireman to take care of my car this is very very very poor service
Dave and the team did a great job of reviewing what I needed done and suggesting the best options for the work that was required. I did have an appointment (scheduled online) which made it easier to for them and me. Very professional and courteous, great experience.8-23-2021 update: Wayne and crew did a great job servicing my tires. Busy Monday and they made sure everyone was taken care of and helped.
This is the 3rd time I go there to get something fixed and they take a day. Literally a whole day I left it at 9 am, then got a call at 4:30 telling me if I can wait untill tomorrow. When I dropped my car off they said itll be ready around noon. These people have no recpect for time. I called off because off them. I even came early this time and they didnt look at my car untill 5pm. Very unprofessional. I am never going back to that location
Staff is rude and pretty snappy towards customers.I came in at 1:25 (my appointment time was 1:30), asking for just an oil change. I didn’t want a tire rotation or any other complimentary services due to the fact that I was on an hour lunch break and really needed my oil changed. I’m late back to work now, because I thought this would take no more than 30 minutes, like how Valvoline could get me done in literally 15 minutes. I don’t know if it’s staff taking on too much of a workload, but it’s insane. Repair times are extremely slow for the high prices.
Normally I have good service, but this time around I did not. I ordered two tires to be mounted on loose wheels. First set that came in was wrong model and wrong size. Second set was supposed to be in on a Thurs, but did not come in until Monday. When I went in to check I see on the progress I see my rims sitting in a pile of other rims most of them used beat up trailer tires. I should have taken pictures before leaving them but I now have some fresh scratches and gouges on my wheels. Not that the vehicle matters but these wheels are off a vechicle.in excellent condition. I also had to clean a bunch of glue off the wheels.
First time customer disappointed with the treatment that we received. Took car with tire leak to Tireman at 1:00 Friday. I was optimistic because coupon from the website says free tire repair and they told us the coupon is valid. They said two hour wait and they close at 4:00. Nobody called by 4:00 so I called and was told it wil be ready Saturday morning at 9:00. Saturday morning they said its not a tire repair but a leaky TPMS valve stem. Because it is TPMS the cost is much higher but I was told hed take $5 off. My daughter picked car up and was charged for tire repair and the $5 discount was left off plus she was told there is not any warranty for the pricey new valve stem that they installed. I said mistakes happen, can you reverse the charge? I was told that takes too long, call customer service. Eventually, they admitted to a mistake with the tire repair charge but the whole thing was much too difficult and we were still overcharged.
Had all four tires replaced. Been 3 weeks. Car immediately began shaking on e-way the first time I took it out. Tires dont feel balanced. Low pressure light wont reset. They said it would go off by itself but it hasnt. My car drove better on the original tires. UPDATE: I was finally able to take it back in. Brad Mull did a great job and was honest that there was an error made during installation. He couldnt have been more professional and courteous. I thanked him for his integrity and mentioned that my wife will be needing tires soon and I hope to see him again. Thanks for taking care of it!!!
Purchased some Michelin tires back in June. Then, noticed one day that one of the tires were low. So, I decided to check all of them. The 2 rear tires were very low. One had lost nearly 50 lbs of pressure! There were no punctures in the tires. So, my only conclusion was that the tires had been poorly sealed by tireman during the installation.So, I went back to the tireman location on Central Ave, where I made the purchase. And it was explained that they couldnt get to me for about 2 hrs. Since I work during the day and depend on my vehicle for work Im not able to wait 2 hrs..., then, whatever time its going to take for tireman to perform the work. I made several more attempts to get this issue fixed and each time being given the same statement, its going to be a couple hours before we can get to it I dont have several hours. During one of my attempts I had even given them my phone # and asked that they schedule me for that day and when my turn comes to call and I could be there within 7 mins since I was just down the street working. They agreed but, no phone call.My final attempt was this week and I had to make special plans just in hopes of getting in and out as quickly as possible. This location opens at 7:30, and I arrived at 7:40 am. And, understand Im not happy because Ive tried to get the tires fixed due to tireman poor workmanship several times and I feel Im being put off. So, when I speak to the gentleman behind the counter I explain the situation and my attempts and how I feel. And, he explains that, their tire guy wont be in until 8:00am. My first customer that I have to service is at 9:00am. But, he assures me this wont take more than 30-40mins. 9:20am comes and the same gentleman explains that they had in fact performed poor workmanship and verified my assumption that the tires had been poorly sealed. And while Im waiting and getting angier by minute Im writing an email to Tiremans corporate office off theyre website about this entire experience.I had also explained in the email that, when youve already performed work on a customers car and the work is done incorrectly that, when that customer comes in, REGARDLESS OF HOW BUSY THEY ARE THAT DAY, that customer is to be moved to the front of the line and taken care of. PERIOD.First of all that customer has already had work performed and paid for that work. And theyre expecting when they drive off the lot that the work was performed correctly and everything is good with the product they purchased. Theyre not driving out of there believing theyll have to come back for Any reason. So, when a customer whose had work thats not been done correctly has to come back there should be no waiting for this customer. There now your only priority before trying to make more sales for the day.Im in business for myself. I travel the country chasing hail. And, when Im at a body shop doing hail repairs on a car. Once I finish that car I move onto my next car. Whether its 2 days, 3days a week later or, whatever. If Im working on another customers car and a customer brings back a car because I missed Something , or, the shop manager brings it to me, I stop working on the car Im currently working on and I fix the mistake I made IMMEDIATELY. Then, I continue on with what Im doing. Theres no putting the customer off. This is just plain good service and smart business. Maybe thats why I have a 5.0 rating on 235 reviews on Google. I take damn good care of my customers and make certain theyre happy and I give the best service possible.Tireman has yet to write a response back to me. Unless their response ended up in my spam. I Havent checked.I also have to add, that, Im also a vendor of tiremans.Glad to see this carries no weight and I get treated just like any other customer of tiremans.Hopefully they read this and make some changes in how to handle customers that have already had work performed but the workmanship was performed incorrectly. So, these customers whove already paid for their services get treated promptly.
I had an appointment for a tire rotation and alignment check. When I arrived, they told me it could take up to 2 hours because they double booked the time slot. I called back after two and a half hours and they had not even looked at my vehicle. They told me it would be another two hours. I returned after four and a half hours and one of the employees told me they had not looked at my car. I asked for my keys back, another employee came out and told me my car was getting ready to go on the lift. I asked how long it would take, they said it would take another hour and a half, and that I needed two new tie rod ends, which is impossible to know if they hadnt looked at my car. Will never return.
The price was great for me. But I did have to wait up there for over 4 hours to change one tire with my 10 yr old son. That was ridiculous. I called a couple hours before I came and said I was going to bring my son and I. I wish they would of told me that there could be over a 4 hour wait. Thankfully my son was great because I bought him a cheap toy at family dollar. Price on vending machines is to high also.
I usually go to the Mc Cord Rd location but went in to this location recently for a new tire and because I had a coupon for $22.98 for synthetic blend oil change I decided to have that done while I was there. When I checked my receipt after I left I realized I had been charged $45 for a full synthetic oil change and called to ask about it. The tech Daryl was extremely rude and informed me that my car required full and he cant use the wrong oil. I asked why I hadnt been contacted if they couldnt do what I had ask for and he said he looked at my host and did what I had done in the past. I informed him that I have never had my oil changed there before. I also informed him that as per my owners manual synthetic blend is actually recommended. Daryl told me basically too bad and if I have a problem call customer service. So I called and a very nice man named Dave called me back. He agreed that I should have been given the information and option to have full or take my car elsewhere. I was given a full refund for the oil change and was happy with being heard and the outcome by customer service. Wont risk Daryl every working on my vehicle again though so I wont go back to this location.
Went to get a sensor programed and a tire repaired left with a broken tow mirror . Employee hit something with mirror and broke it. They said show them a receipt and they will reimburse for the price of mirror. I feel they should have to replace regardless. Its my choice if I want to replace the mirror. They broke it they should have to pay for it even if I chose not to buy the new one.
Took our family vehicle in at about 8am. They had just opened up at 7:30, on a Saturday in October. Lot was filled. They were actually even calling people on the phone to pick up vehicles that had been sitting. When it was my time at the counter, I told them I had a tire that needed looked at; driver rear, that I had topped off a couple times in past two weeks. They said it might be a couple hours so I left the keys and went home. Got a call about three hours later that it was done. I think I finally arrived at about noon, as I wasnt home when they called. They found a screw in the tire and patched it. Zero cost. This is my wifes daily driver, and also our family vehicle, so we bought the recommended tires with the 3 or 5 year tireman full warranty a couple years back. Weve used it several times. Its great in a pinch, anywhere you are in the country.Before purchasing those tires, we were replacing tires every ten thousand miles. Which is way too much, if you dont know. Something about how our vehicle was designed made it very difficult to get the alignment correct at all four tires. So we constantly were having abnormal wear and needing to replace them. Tireman fixed that, by finally aligning our vehicle and we havent had an issue with tire wear since.
Ive been bringing my car here for a couple years and I always have a great experience. The staff is friendly and information. They fixed my car again yesterday, and it was affordable and timely. I will continue to go here and encourage others to as well. Wayne is great at what he does, and Id definitely ask for him if hes available. Thanks again tire man!
They were very friendly and nice. I got there about 45 minutes before they closed and they were still very nice and stayed over time to make sure my tire was put on. They offered me water and coffee. I dont remember the techs name, but he was very funny; he was setting that broom up in various places in the store! It was nice to be in such a pleasant environment after being at work all day and then having to deal with the stress of coming outside to a flat tire. I will be coming back here for all my future tire needs; and I told my family how nice and efficient everyone was.
I called Tireman to determine if the tires I needed were in stock. I spoke with Daryl who looked up my previous quote and confirmed the size and price. He advised that the tires could be ordered and would be in the next day. He had my paperwork ready when I arrived the next day and contacted me when the work was done within a couple of hours. The staff was courteous and mindful of social distancing while I was at the shop. Thanks for the great service.
Excellent service. Needed a tire fixed last minute. They fit me in without an appointment. Work took longer than expected due to it being a busy day before Christmas. They fixed the tire fee of charge! This is my local Tireman and I use them at least a few times yearly for tires, repairs, and regular service.
Tire blew out halfway through a 1000-mile journey to start a summer job. A state trooper directed me to Tireman, and the guys there installed a new tire for me within about an hour. Amazing service and turnaround - I thought I was going to have to wait all day and pay an arm and a leg for the service. Highly recommend these guys.
It’s a shame I have to write this. Last week you had my car for 6 hours and only were able to accomplish an oil change. I had no update until 5:45 that day. I picked it up at 6pm.I requested an inspection, tuneup, new lug studs, and an oil change.Today, a tie rid broke and I’m stranded. So I will never ever recommend nor visit a tireman store in my lifetime. A completely avoidable nightmare of an experience, followed by another complete nightmare of an experience.Oh, and they waited till 5:45 to tell me they won’t even take my wheels off because “the tires are older than 10 years”. So they want me to buy some from them. Predictable. The tires were appropriately stored and in better condition than what I had, but you want money, I get it.
I went in to Tireman after working my 3rd shift job, to have my tire looked at, that was constantly losing air. They worked efficiently and had me out the door in less time than they quoted me. I had purchased all four tires from them approximately 18 months ago, so the fix was covered under my warranty. Very nice group of people. Thank you for having fresh coffee and your professionalism.
Although I have received relatively good service in the past, this time was not as good. According to my dashboard my original problem showed not resolved and I am back and now it’s an additional issue. Staff who wrote the work order (my second visit) interrupted me as I was trying to converse and took offense because I asked if he could please let me finish talking. He asked if I could leave the car and I agreed but I asked how long do he think it would be (had a funeral) and he told me about an 1-1.5 hr (that was after dropping off the car at 7:30 am) which I was hoping the job would be completed by 10 am. I didn’t receive a call but came back to at 11:15 and the car wasn’t even brought into the building. Makes me think that it was pushed aside because the staff didn’t like me asking if he could please let me finish because then he could get a better understanding of what I was saying and he would have heard me acknowledge what was previously explained to me by staff with regards to my issue not being resolved.
These guys are good. I’ve been there five times and the work was done the same day and the cost was good. ( I have 4 kids and 5 cars) I’ll be going back next time we need tire work. I think the manager’s name is Brad. Regardless, he’s a good guy who presents as an honest person. The company’s prices are good and I’ll continue to do business with with Brad.
Quick and kind service. My car was taken back about 5 minutes after I checked in for my scheduled appointment and it was done about 35 minutes later (even though he estimated and hour). My favorite part was when they said, After your oil change and complimentary fluid top off and tire rotation, the rest of the car looks pretty good. Nothing else is needed as of this minute. Thank you Tireman!
Waited 4 hours kinda ridiculous just to find out it would cost me 1276.00 to fix my car and actually no explanation was given what was going on. There were 3 people in front of me for oil changes-4 hours to do 3 oil changes and we were all there by 730 first in line. Poor management at that shoppe should have stuck with my regular shoppe I always go too.
Bad service, false appointments, after five hours waiting no one served and told me they could not do anything, I hate them and I do not advise anyone to deal with liarsOf course, they postpone any customer who performs the after-sales service because it is free of charge and they do new repair work that brings them money. In the past the service was good, but now it is very bad. I don’t know if the reason is from the new management of the Central branch or for other reasons!!
Nothing was wrong with my car for 2 years after I got it, I take it to this tireman shop an get one thing fixed, then something else goes bad shortly,l. Recently I got front end work fixed , that’s fixed but now my car shakes when I get to 60 on the freeway. That wasn’t happening before I got the last thing fixed!!!!
Ive been here a few times and have had mixed feelings about this location.We use Tireman frequently, at various locations in town and love the business. This past time, however, I went to get an oil change & my tires rotated. I made an appointment online but one of the gentlemen at the front said they werent supposed to do appointments on weekends (this past weekend). I brushed it off because he said they would take care of it, but he sounded very impatient with me about this, though I had no idea they didnt do appointments on the weekend (the online portal let me make an appointment!) I also had put in the appointment notes (and mentioned when dropping off) to have my tires checked because the tire pressure light kept coming on and he said theyd check it. When I came to pick my car up, another gentlemen was finishing up my appointment; when I asked if they found anything with the tire light coming on (as previously mentioned), he also seemed irritated/impatient. He said something along the lines of if theyd known about it they wouldve checked it but... (not verbatim, just the best I can recall).All in all, I feel as though some of the staff feel very bothered or annoyed whenever Ive come in for an appointment (not always the weekend) and whenever I ask a question - I have 0 knowledge when it comes to cars or mechanics, so my simple questions are probably a little annoying, but I am coming here for a service needed and would hope to have it explained a little nicer.
Drove my C350 Mercedes benz in for front end inspection for noises after them looking at it i have to have it towed cause now i cant drive it from there. Which i believe not fair cause i drove it in. Now to have it towed. If they seen the inspection wouldve cost more problems they shouldnt have touch it at all. Feel they should fix it at there cost
This was the worst service I ever had!!!! I arrived there soon as they open @730 am for one flat tire I didn’t leave till 915 am I was the second customer it was plenty of workers and I had the worst customer service ever no communication to my wait Nothn on 1 flat tire I will NEVER BE BACK!!!!
When I dropped off my car at my appointment time, I was told it would likely take an hour longer than what I was told when I made the appointment. The prediction proved true. And they could not figure out how to reset my change oil indicator. But no one is perfect, and the price is good.
Scheduled an appointment for an oil change and was told that they would get to me within an hour after the appointment time. When I question what the delay was I was told that oil changes take awhile and I simply replied they take 20 minutes. Staff member Ryan then told meThats a lie. I stated that it takes less than 20 minutes when I go to Valvoline and he then asked me do you want your keys back. I said yes and I left and got an oil change at Valvoline and was done in 15 minutes!! never again will I ever go to tireman on Central avenue. Very poor management and staff seem to be defeated.
Dropped my vehicle off at 7:30am to get four new tires. I was told that it would be ready by 5pm. After not hearing anything by 1:30pm I called and asked for an update and they told me they hadn’t got to it yet but that it would be done by 5pm. I arrived at 5:15pm and was told that my vehicle hadn’t been touched and that it was the next one in. I will never return because of how bad the customer service was. They attempted to better the situation by offering me a free oil change which did nothing to fix the fact that I was late to a prior commitment I had made because of their lack in ability to provide reliable service in a timely manner.
Very disappointed for the very first time. I had scheduled an appointment at 8 o’clock in the morning and quested to get my car done by three. They had just started my car at three. I needed to be able to work by four. I never received a phone call as to what the charges were going to be and was in shock when I got there and they told me the amount. I had to cancel one of the repairs due to the expense. The one good thing that did happen was that the salesman brought me my car to work on his own time.
I rely on my neighborhood Tireman to keep my high mileage vehicle in proper working condition. We travel often on the road and having that peace of mind that my ride is safe is worth every update/repair. Regular maintenance is more affordable than yearly interest and depreciation of a newer car for me right now. So having a trustworthy provider that understands my concerns and address them with confidence is why five stars. Ive had multiple services over the last few years with them. The cost and customer service is better than Midas. The gentlemen are always professional and polite. Im impressed they have patience to explain things when Im not understanding the issue. Thank you
Went in to get my brake lines fixed and a few other things looked at. They did a pretty good job and were very knowledgeable. Couldn’t fix everything and were a little expensive on labor but they do a really good job otherwise. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for auto repair.
These guys are fantastic! My car battery was beyond dead! But they came to my rescue and took care of me! I’m thankful that my work is next door, not like that matters! They didn’t have to walk across the long lot and jump my car and take care of me like that, but they did! Didn’t have to replace my battery even though they had closed 5 minutes earlier, but they did! I love them and will be a repeat customer!
Well, had an appointment set for 10a, arrived slightly before 10. No record of my appointment was apparently in the system, so I got pushed back until 12-12:30p, then didnt get a call about it being underway until after 1:30p. I had already chosen tires and explained what all I needed done on the appointment and also in person. They didnt even call back again, I had to call them around 4:30p just for them to tell me that it was up on the rack now and would be done soon. So I arrived at the shop at 4:45p and they told me that they were missing a tire and that it was coming soon, and I thought no biggie. I didnt leave until after 5:45 and they had changed the tires I had selected as well as did an oil change, which I didnt ask for, and all for almost $200 more than my quoted price online. Overall, I would not go back to this location. The employees were fine, except that I wish that they wouldve just kept me in the loop about things.
Made an oil change appointment four days prior online. Arrived on time. My appointment was at noon, my car wasn’t even started until 135p. I advised the counter person I had an appointment at 2pm and I had been waiting 90 minutes and my car hasn’t even been touched. He said he would have it done by two, if they didn’t rotate the tires. I agreed, but didn’t check out until 210p missing my appointment. Don’t have customers pre schedule online if you aren’t gonna honor the appointment.
The initial price of the inspection was great. A hose was reattached without additional fees. They tried to help me by finding a bolt for my throttle body. Was not able to find it. After asking what size bolt was needed, they couldnt tell me the size that I needed to fix the issue. And they also could not find a bolt in the office. Not sure how that works. When asking the size in order to get it the bolt myself no information was available. Wayne did not know.
I live a good distance from this shop, but willing to drive the extra miles to get there, they are always friendly and honest! A good mechanic that you trust and who you know cares that your car is in good working order is hard to find. They take the time to educate me on items that I need to repair immediately and those that can wait so I can budget appropriately. Thank you for taking care of my car!
I called to see if they could help with my car. I needed tires on my car/balanced (I already had them) an alignment and oil change. They told me they had no openings but to drop it off anyway. They did a nice job. Under $200 and I’m pleased. Very friendly. It did take around 4-5 hours but with no appt and good rates I was ok with it. I just had my mom pick me up
I am very pleased with Tireman auto service on West Central Avenue in Toledo Ohio. I had four tires replaced because the tires on my car were in very bad shape. The Personnel at Tireman were Timely, courteous, and very informative. I thought I only needed two tires and the representative that I talked to showed me why it would be better to get four. Of course I thought he was just trying to make more money but after driving my car I saw such a difference in the performance of my car compared to how it was when I first took it in that I took it to one of my sons and told him why I bought four tires instead of two. He told me almost word-for-word why it was better to get the four instead of two. I am very pleased and therefore in any future car that I have I will go to Tireman when there is a need for tires. Thank you very much for your service and advice to a very inexperienced lady.😊
Bought a set of tires and had rear brakes replaced(pads and rotors). The brakes locked up and they had to replace them again. The tires come with road hazard but you have to wait for hours or they tell you to drop it off because they are not making money doing them, You would think you would get better service since youve spent so much money with them with multiple cars. Im taking my hard earned cash somewhere else.
Quoted no charge for a tire rotation by one tech on day 1 but charged $12 by another tech (mgr, I think) next day - after service. But, when brought to their attention, the charge was graciously reversed by mgr and first tech to honor their word given. I just moved here from out of state but your store will have a dedicated customer with me.Bill
I went to Tireman auto service on central ave got a oil change on my 70 Chevelle they over filled my oil by 2 quarts....and blew my motor and have me on hold for a month and a half car still at their shop been a month in a half received confirmation number for insurance company to pay for my engine and it’s still not repaired yet!!! and I spent a lot of money to the company PLEASE BEWARE ‼️‼️‼️
The customer service was outstanding! I truly loved working with these guys. The Assistant Manager, Wayne, by far one of the easiest guys to work with. I gave him a budget of what i could do, and instead of going back and forth, he said, I’ll see what i can do, and he followed through! Definitely will be going in there more for any of my cars needs!
During a recent roadtip, we had an unexpected brake pad failure. It was late in the afternoon and with no tools with me, I needed a place to do a front brake job. I contacted Tireman on Central and they said they could do it first thing in the morning.I got there a few minutes before they opened and there were people already waiting for them to open (to me that is a good sign). The gentleman that opened up, barely got the lights on and immediately started working with customers. I was completely satisfied with the customer service and quality of work complete by this location. My vehicle was done and ready to go within 3 hours, that included them getting the parts needed at 8am.Hats off to this location and the individuals that I dealt with. Thank you for your service to get us back on the road.
Central av by food town ...Wayne was a total jerk (to say the least) he couldn’t find a tire that I ordered a few days prior to coming back to the shop the day he told me to come back and that tire would be in. He was the person who I actually Ordered the tire to begin with. Wayne was very rude, never Apologized for the inconvenience. Instead of acting or being professional he had an attitude with me and was argumentative with me when other customers started to arrive. Thank goodness for another worker there Darryl, he turn things around, and made this whole fiasco more pleasurable. Darryl actually apologized for how things were and repaired my tire and went above and beyond to make the situation a whole lot better. These stars are for Darryl (hope I spelled his name correctly)
I normally visit the downtown location, but since I’ve moved, this location is only a few blocks away. I was almost ignored to begin with, as people trickled in, the cashier paid more attention to them, and I had to make myself visible by starting the conversation myself. He didn’t take note of all my requests, just nodded, and of course they were missed later when I came back. I came in an hour after my quoted time, and they were finishing up my car AS I walked in. I’ve never had this happen at any Tireman before. I understand this may be a busy time, but it was unpleasant, like I was a bother. The cashier also had his AirPods in, which I found unprofessional in a customer service role. I’d rather drive downtown in the future. The gentleman who cashed me out was kind and thanked me for my patience. I was quick to get my keys and go.
I dropped my car off (to have the rear brakes looked at) at 7:39 in the morning, manager was late. There were 3 of us already waiting. Received a call at 11:15 & was told it needed pads, rotors, & calipers on front and rear. Talked to them several times throughout the day, was told the rear was worse, then told the front was worse, told them to change the front set, get there at 4:15, 4:30 I’m told they were finishing up, 5:30 I’m told they were finishing up, 6:15 I’m told they did the rear brakes and that I didn’t need calipers after all. Finally left at about 6:20.
My cars tranny went out and I did not have the money for 2 months. They let me keep my car on their lot til I did get money. Everyone there is awesome friendly and willing to help anyone no matter the cost. The work with prices to make sure you can get the work done. I recommend them to everyone. Great job!
Three times i went to this tire man to try and get my tire situation fixed. I had a brand new tire and all i needed was it put on and sealed. All three times they failed to properly seal the tire and at the end of the day i still have a flat tire. The only good this about the time i spend here was how nice the people are i guess.
Service was completed 2 hours after quoted time and had to call 3 separate times to find out if service was completed even though they assured me theyd call me when vehicle was done. In addition, the on-hold message states that they have a shuttle service, but when I asked, the gentleman said he had no one to send out so I had to walk (in the rain) to Tireman (due to my ride having already left my place of work).
Just solely on the inconsistency on price changes whenever I go there. I have spent a lot of money at this auto shop and the prices were never consistent. When you call in for a brake change(I bought my own brakes by the way) the first price you get is 80. High but still reasonable. Then you call in again and the price is 100. Out of hand for just changing brakes but okay youre desperate. Then the day before you head in you call again and the price is now 125. Finally get your brakes done and on your receipt, it says that you paid 146 US dollars. For a BRAKE CHANGE and you supplied your own brakes and rotors.Definitely shouldnt be a first stop place for repairs. The price hikes are ridiculous.
Had my brakes, rotors, and calibers replaced. They did something in correctly and now I have half the brake power I used to have. Instead of getting me in ASAP, I have to wait until an appointment is available. The guys at the front desk are nice but I’m not impressed with the work the mechanics are doing.
The first tireman i went to did not have my tire in stock , so I offered to drive to the one that did. They pulled my truck out with a totally flat tire. It took an hour for them to put the spare on but was able to eventually get my truck and head to the central ave location. When i got to the central location I was told it would be an.additional 2 and a half hours. 2 hours and 15 minute s later the truck had not moved. Replacing the single flat tire took about 15 minutes . now it was time to put the spare back under the truck, after watching for a while I told them where the spare release was, then another 45 minutes later I still did not have the truck back due to the struggle with replacing the spare. My single flat tire was very reasonable on price at a hundred and a quarter the level of competence seems very low and my time was worth enough to pay more for the tire, total time spent just over 6 hours for a single tire
SURPRISE SURPRISE. My experience with a car shop went surprisingly well. Made an appt 4 an oil change just this morning. Showed up exactly on time and was in n out in 34 minutes...only because I told them I wanted the oil and filter change only as I needed to b out ASAP.
I was there yesterday for an oil change/ tire rotation. After I left I noticed my tires were not rotated I called back there to tell them my tires were not rotated even though they did not mention to me that that did not take place as stated. He said come back at your earliest convenience I drove back and he told me they were unable to do it yesterday to come back Saturday morning. So tomorrow I will drive there for my 3rd time for a time rotation that says was completed on my service printout.
I called tireman after getting no help from other shops. I was greeted kindly by Patrick. When I took my car in Wayne helped me. Offered water , options for my car care. Jeff called me at work letting me know about my care, and and cost. The cost was a lot lower than expected. They are now my new best friends for my car needs. Thanks, Guys
Well on top of waiting for 3 hours just for a tire repair. I ended up having to get 2 new tires. They told me that my back tires was fine. When I git in my car my low tire light was still on. Went back inside Justin said they didnt put check my back tires. Another nice gentleman put air in ALL 4 tires. They didnt even put my caps on my new tires. I was very upset.
Have gone to Tireman since I first started driving for all my needs. I recently just got my oil changed and tires rotated. Upon driving home a guard came loose and clapped against the underside of my car the whole way home. I had to have 4 ways on and go 20 mph the whole way home adding 30 minutes to my commute. Should be a simple fix, yet I shouldn’t have to correct mistakes made during routine service. Extremely inconvenient and hasn’t been the first time I have had to correct issues after service. Wondering if I need to look for a new place to take my business.
Took my 2018 Ford Escape for a tire repair and instead of repairing it they refused because it was too close to the shoulder/sidewall. I took it to them because they were local.... I took it to their competitor because they would actually fix the tire and had no issue doing so. They would gladly replace the tire that had 6k miles on it though.Tire patch vs 250 tire swap. Stay away from here and find someone else local.
Needed two outer tie rods replaced on a Saturday before driver from Toledo, Ohio to Dallas, Texas. They were swamped, but said have my car out by closing time. They were unable to have my car done by closing time, so they stayed almost 2hrs after hours to get my car done as promised. And made arrangements for me to get car. Very happy with work done and service
Absolutely horrible!!! I needed 1, O.N.E. valve stem replaced and it took 3 hours. 3 hours with a shop full of tools and equipment??? I couldve done the job at home with the few tools I own in 45 minutes. I suggest never going to tire man unless you have half a Saturday to sit in a waiting room. Unbelievable!!!!
The general rule Tireman gives is to have a tire change in 1 hour. When they are busy it drives this to about 90 minutes. Really not too bad. But I have also been there as the only customer and it is still an hour. 40 minutes of that time my car just sat. Why? A positive is they usually have some tire available for every size. The downside: But only offer a very cheap or very expensive brand. Nothing in the middle. A definite ploy to upsell.
Unreliable place to fix your car. I dropped off my car 9.30 in the morning for a tire sensor , 5 pm and the car was not ready ,I was told to leave it for the next day. I specifically asked in the morning if the car will be done the same day and they told me Yes. Its not a reliable place to do any mechanic repair.
I blew my tire out down the street and went to tire man for the first time. I spoke with Wayne and he was able to get me right in and out with a new tire and all. With my crazy schedule it was very nice to have someone to help you and do their best to get you in and out with great hospitality. I will defidently be going back in the future!!
Had taken vehicles for service over a span of about 5-6 years. Several times after getting car or truck back the issue had not been fixed and was charged hundreds of dollars. Tried to give them another shot with a simple oil change this past saturday since the guys working at the counter had been friendly before. Well that didnt work out! My wife picked up her car and drove straight home a couple of miles thank the Lord. If she would have gotten on the expressway then my family could have been in a serious wreck since they never closed the hood properly and such a blatant error we will never do business with this company again. Tireman please check these critical things out before letting someone else drive away and get hurt!
Wont be coming here again. Wanted to get a new tire even though my old tire was still in good condition but I wanted to keep it as a spare. After they put my new tire on I assumed they put the old tire in my trunk because that is what they usually do. A couple days later I check in my trunk and the tire wasnt there and when I called to ask about it they said they probably threw it away and that they didnt have record of the tire. How do you throw away a perfectly good tire that didnt even come from your company?
I’m surprised you asked me to leave a review! I was not happy! I called to make appointment and they said it would take 1 hour! I got there and it took 3 hours! That’s a long time to have your oil changed! While I was there 2 people left that came After me! I saw worker standing and talking taking a long break while I waited. I had a coupon that I couldn’t use, because I need special oil! It was very disappointing, won’t be back😔
If you need anything repaired on your tires this is the place to go. I needed a tire pressure sensor replaced and it was half the cost of a dealership! Another time I needed a brake light bulb and they replaced it at no charge because I had to wait an extended period of time for the for the next available tech. Excellent customer service!
I had taken my car to another auto repair place and unfortunately spent a lot of money for unnecessary repairs without fixing the problem. I took my car to tireman, and they fixed my car, gave me an awesome, fair price, and were extremely professional and courteous. I feel I can trust them, and will not be taking my car anywhere else.
One brake light was not working on my car. Needed an oil change anyway, so took it to Central Ave. location. Oil change and free tire rotation were done within an hour, as promised. They said there was no problem with the brake light. Checked it when I got home and it still was not working. Did they even look at it?? Took it to AAA Tire & Auto Service on Central (They have done excellent work for us before) and it was fixed in about 10 minutes. They showed me the brake light bulb that was obviously burnt out. Only $6 to fix it.
I have been having some alignment issues with my car (it’s lowered). The new rims I have apparently have a different offset but no other place I went told me that flat out. Both Jeffs at this location were very polite and also went through every step to get me an answer. I appreciate their willingness to work with me and solve this problem.
I thought the were doing well at first, but they werent. Long story short, half assed work ethic and lack of concern for customer concerns. First was on a 30 day alignment that wound up being wrong, and had I not paid for the lifetime upgrade later, Id have ended up paying for another 2 alignments to fix issues that werent addressed the first time. Not the first time Ive had a shop show incorrect alignment info, neither.The lack of concern for customer concerns is that they act like the only way to tighten a wheel on a car is by taking a grinder or a steel brush to a machined surface on the back of an Aluminum wheel. They say it does not remove any metal soooo, why are there gouges in the back of my wheels that werent there before, and why did the powder coating that I paid good money have put on get removed if its such a safe process? I requested that the back of my wheel NOT be cleaned, they did it anyway. THEN had the gall to tell me that its a law that they have to follow. Ive worked on cars professionally before, its not. Company Policy, maybe, but not law.For these reasons, I WONT be spending any more money here. They can continue with the two cars Ive lifetime alignments on, but thats it. Ill be taking my tire installation on my 7 (albeit crappy) cars elsewhere.

2022-04-22I’ve gone to Tireman for the last few months, and they consistently make great effort to help me as much as possible. They help to accommodate to my schedule, they charge fair prices, and do good work! My only complaint is the length of time it requires to get your vehicle back. As everyone and their brother wants to use Tireman to get their auto work done, they always have a long list of customers to help. Nonetheless, they work well and help a ton!

2022-05-13Service here is not good. I had an appointment for 10am to put a new tire on my vehicle. Got there at 10 was told it would be a few hours. I said I need it done by 4pm and they assured me that would be no problem. I return at 4 and they haven’t even started. Didn’t get my vehicle back until 5:30. I kept asking what’s the point of an appointment if it’s going to take 7 hours to just put a new tire on? I’d rather pay more somewhere else and have them actually honor their schedule.

2022-02-12These mechanics have always taken great care of my car, but today was awesome! I went in with a bulge in my sidewalk and money is really tight right now. Not only did they replace my tire very quickly, but it was under warrantee, had I gone anywhere else I would have paid a lot. Thank you Tireman!!

2022-03-24I needed an affordable tire repair. I called the Service Manager Wayne and he took my tire within minutes, tagged the tire marking the nail and had it repaired in under 2 hours. This was with a full lot of cars to repair in th shop. Great service. Recommend to all. Tim!

2022-03-29I tried to schedule an appointment for an oil change. The guy who answered the phone told me to drop the car off, it would be considered a walk-in. I asked him if he was sure since it would be close to 2pm. He said I was fine but I wouldn’t get the car back until about 6, when they close. He also told me to call close to 6, if I haven’t heard back from him. I called at 5:50 there was no answer. I walked into the shop at 5:55 to pick up my car. Only to find out my car was never serviced. I asked why didn’t anyone contact me to at least inform me. The ONLY response was a snotty “well we simply can’t get to it.” He offered to service the car for free the next day but the only time was 10:00am. I had work so that wouldn’t be good for. However, the mechanic did stay over but did not complete the entire Gold oil change. So now I have to take off work to make sure it gets complete.

2022-03-23I purchased tires in October & was unable to school an appointment for the tire rotation that required to validate the warranty. I scheduled an oil change in order to be able to make an appointment for both services. My appointment time was 9 am & my car didn’t get taken in until after 9:30. After working a 12 hour shift all night I was pretty irritated with the wait times.

2022-04-02Dropped my car off at 9. The gentleman behind the counter said theyd assess my car by 1230.... 230 comes and my car is still parked where it was when I dropped it off. Long story short they had my car for more than 24hours. Never again.
