We had the pleasure of dining at Tinos earlier this week. Since Im trying to lose a few pounds, I ordered the grilled chicken salad. Expecting the usual bland salad of other restaurants, I was delighted with my colorful salad! A variety of fresh vegetables, beautifully seasoned and grilled chicken, and feta cheese all topped with their homemade Greek dressing. If they can make a chicken salad taste that great, I cant wait to try some of their other specialties. Well be back!
My server was Kris. As soon as I arrived, she took my drink and food order. She stood there and talked with me a little bit. She has a great sense of humor and personality. She got my food out to me fast and the food was excellent! The chef is A+! I will definitely recommend all my friends and family to go there. Great food and great service!
Ive been wanting to try Tinos for a few weeks but they have been closed. I was afraid they had gone out of business, but this week they were open and I was able to try them for the first time. I have been craving a gyro and Tinos gyros a pretty good. You get a nice portion of meat, sprinkled with a few onions and tomatoes. The tzatziki sauce tasted fresh and homemade and was very lightly seasoned. Overall a pretty good, filling gyro, that I would stop by for again. The staff and owners seemed very friendly and welcoming, although they were not following any COVID rules. I would recommend Tinos and plan to try a double decker sandwich next time.
Went in for a carry out order as my first time here. First of all it smelled delicious when I walked in. Secondly, the lady at the counter was friendly, and my order only took about 5-10 minutes. The dining room was fairly busy with most of the tables full. I ordered just a plain gyro, and it was tasty. I grew up eating at Sebastians on the west side, and the gyro here was just as good. Ill definitely go back, and maybe try dining in next time with my family.
Excellent food, beautiful dining area, super clean everywhere, and really nice people. If you enjoyed Angelos in Finneytown, its the same folks. The server was great, and the kitchen staff was kind. Amazing homemade soup, generous portions, and the deserts are authentic. So glad to have found them again. Wishing them great success at their new location. Ill definitely be back soon!
We just moved to the area and found Tino’s during the COVID lock-down. The food is great! Our boys loved the burgers and the gyro meat and greek salad was delicious. We will definitely be going back. The prices and the food are right on point. It’s a family run business, you can tell by how good the food is, but the service seemed very overwhelmed trying to manage the phones and those waiting in line picking up orders.
First time ever going into Titos. What a nice place to eat! Friendly family atmosphere. Our server was awesome. She had great suggestions and was very attentive. The food was delicious. We will definitely be eating there again along with carry out. My husband and I highly recommend it. Thank you, The Yazells.
This was our first time here tonight, and we will definitely go back! We had the liver and onions and the prime rib special both were supreme! A bowl of soup comes with EVERY dinner. Tonights soup was cream of chicken and rice with a hint of lemon.....very very good. Service was excellent. Prices are affordable and the portions are great. So glad Tinoa has come to White Oak! How did we get so lucky?!?
Went in for carryout today. No masks and no COVID protocols in use. No social distancing at tables either. Obviously someones political beliefs are stronger than their belief in science. No matter how good the food is,if your dead or crippled from COVID it doesnt matter...... NEVER GOING BACK
I can add my comment because I am very accustomed to authentic Greek restaurants as I am from the south side of Chicago and grew up at a Greek restaurant...we were there almost daily. So....i think I can speak with alot if experience. Tinos is near my work so I decided to drop in for lunch to go. This week is one of the hottest on record here and I think it speaks for itself to say that the waiting area there was hotter than outside. The faces of the people working in the kitchen were so red. Dude...it was HOT. So maybe that was rhe reason they werent all that friendly. And maybe that is why it took almost 20 minutes to make a gyro?! Was it good. Yes! They certainly didnt skimp on the meat for sure. The tzsaki sauce...not a fan! I also ordered rice pudding. This is a mainstay in all Chgo. Greek restaurants so yeah I wanted some. Nope!! Not a fan! Vanilla pudding mixed with rice and cinnamon on too does not constitute real rice pudding but then again...who knows..maybe their family recipe. Bottom line, no I wont return. I will drive 10 more minutes to Harrison Ave. And go to Babas Schwarma Grill which is fantastic!! And...they have fresh hummus!! Tinos does not have any hummus. And to top it all off I didnt get chips with my gyro. Oh well...live, eat and learn.
Lady who rang me up for carry out order doesnt know whats she is doing. Offered chips or fries as if they came with order. Rang me out. Came back to be to say she didnt charge me for fries. i said i didnt want them if they were extra. Made me pay because they dropped them in fryer already. Gyros were also dry and disappointing. Go to Zorbas instead of this place.
Gyro Meat - Zorbas is betterPita - Zorbas is way betterTzatziki - Zorbas is betterGreek dressing - Zorbas is betterGreek Salad - Zorbas is betterBaklava - Tinos is better (baklava was the best over had)Go to Zorbas if you like Greek food, go here if you like baklava or american food I guess.

2022-02-23We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Our food was delicious and there was plenty of it! The creamy chicken and rice with lemon soup is amazing. So delicious! The gyro dinner was delicious and filling. The chicken dinner was hot, crispy and very tasty. Even our sons grilled chicken kids meal was very flavorful and his salad was his favorite.

2021-10-16Outstanding eatery! Relaxed, understated but comfortable decor. The fried chicken is…gone. The souvlaki is well seasoned and juicy, and the egg lemon soup is hearty and balanced. Wont go wrong here. Only item I don’t recommend is the mashed potatoes.

2019-10-01First time here at the recommendation of friends. The people were very nice. The food was good and fresh. The portions are very nice sized. I ordered the gyro sandwich and cheese curds. I am bringing about half home for the next day. It was very good. The tsaisiki sauce was little tart but ok. The ranch dressing is homemade and oh so good! We will be back to further explore the menu.

2021-05-05Nice small restaurant. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Prices were more than fair and the portions were huge. We had the 7oz grouper dinner and turkey and beef double deckers. Both were delicious. Definitely going back to try other things. Trying the Patty Melt.

2021-10-28Several months ago, I made the mistake of going to Steak and Shake for a bowl of chili. (I wrote a review for that visit.) Today I stopped in at Tinos across from where I work and got more than twice as much chili for only 50¢ more. It was delicious! I also got a coney that had plenty of chili and cheese. The price of the coney was less than the big chain coneys. Im going to make sure to take my husband there!

2022-02-09This absolutely is the biggest hidden secret in White Oak. The meals are more than plentiful and the price is more than fair. If you truly want a dining experience and a family owned business that is worth the try, then Tino s is it.Your taste buds will thank you!

2021-04-22Excellent! The food is wonderful & the value is amazing! For 3 people it was $21.95. That included the special of the day which beef tips & noodles (huge portion) with soup & a side. Also a terrific patty melt with a large amount of fries & another huge bowl of soup. The portions are always huge & prices are great. You will not be disappointed. This is one of our favorites.

2021-11-19When I picked up food at Tinos it was evident that you could cut the tension between the staff with a knife. I also noticed some less than sanitary practices that I wont mention in this review other than a waitress who smoked a cigarette and returned without washing her hands and immediately making a salad. The food was decent but the overall experience was too off-putting to rate any higher.
