I remember going to this place when I first bought my keyboard and mouse across from them at GameStop, so I went over to see if I could find some cards and they had quite the selection of cards there and are always keeping them in stock well done staff of time warps and are always friendly enough.
Wish I could leave zero stars. Sold me a defective game for my sons birthday and wouldnt exchange it for a new one. Told me we could have broken the Monopoly game board ourselves. What a rip off and horrible business practice! And now hes saying he doesnt have one in stock, but theres one in the window display. Yes, I shop early and I bought it in May for my sons July birthday. It stayed in the bag until I wrapped it. My grown son tried to open the board, which was glued shut, and it tore. How is this our fault?
This place is a prime example of why we need a better local gaming shop. Do not even attempt to trade product in here. You will get pennies on the dollar. Save yourself the time. To add yes a flat rate of pennies on the dollar. Change your attitude towards all your customers to be fair and you wont get this type of rating.
Been there twice. They’re really over priced on what little sealed Pokémon product they have. I would of payed a little extra if the person working was even partially polite or engaging! The LAST time I went I was looking for singles for my shining fates master set. I bought one (which was priced higher than TCG) then saw some other singles and asked if I got a few if they would come down $4 because of how high they priced them and centering wasn’t good and all the guy said was “nope”!literally the only words he spoke to me the whole time I was there. I saw someone else leave a review saying they didn’t hardly engage with him and acted relieved once he left and that’s exactly how I felt!! I’ll continue to drive 45min to No Limit Gaming before I spend one more cent here!
Ron is always super nice, and his shop is great! They have games, cards, snacks, collectibles, and he now uses the storefront next door so we can play TCGs!!! Weve been going there since we moved to Ohio and its one of the best card shops! I think theres even a group of streamers who go there for Magic the Gathering. He also doesnt scam people with resealed cards and charges a reasonable price on his items compared to other places that try to double the cost. I trust this business and encourage everyone to check it out!
Ive gone here a few times to browse and have bought some things now and then. Its one of the few reasons left to visit Eastgate Mall, and they have a decent selection of board games (though they often have more expansions than the core games themselves). Board game prices are not as high as list - they used to have a discount, not sure if they still do.That said, the customer service is just awful. Any time I have bought something there, staff literally acts like you disgust them, wont talk to you outside of giving you a total, and seems to be happy when you leave. Supporting your local friendly game store is great, but its hard to do when they forget the friendly part.
I absolutely love this store! They have a great selection of board games, DnD books/supplies, and MTG cards! They even have anime, japanese snacks and anime figurines! The employees are always a pleasure to talk to and make the experience even better! My husband and I love coming to this store!
Been here a few times, theyre about equal distance from me and a competitor. Their prices for sealed product are always close to msrp OR TCGplayer matched which is incredibly fair, their mtg singles products are also price matched which is great. The staff has never been anything but polite to me, best LGS ive seen in Cinci
Owner is always friendly and greets you when you come into the store. Large selection of Magic and Pokémon cards with some Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragon Ball Super individual cards and packs. Prices are in line with TCG Players. Haven’t had a bad experience there in the 5 years I’ve been going there
The best card shop around. The staff here are phenomenal. There’s a very wide selection of magic the gathering products and singles. I love to come here and sift through hundreds of cards to find the next thing to win commander night. Please come and see if there’s anything here for you. lol
Cool place.. near items, but unfortunately these places are so underrated and overlooked for what they are that these kind of stores just dont last. Store is kind of hard to navigate through all the items.. needs better system for trading cards and some other items, but overall... really cool place.
I have been in this store a couple of times, and each time I am disappointed. I would love to shop local like at this store, but given their prices and customer service I have given up. I have a couple areas of feedback:Prices on sealed product: This store sells products for scalper prices. I went in seeing if they had Kanto Powers boxes, and they did. But to my surprise they are selling them for $100.00 which is a total rip off. Not even scalpers are charging this much. Also, they are selling vivid voltage build and battle boxes which is supposed to be like $19.99 but the owner didnt even break the case and was selling it for $600.00 for the lot.Individual card prices: The owner claims he is selling cards for TCG Player prices which is not true at all. The prices he is charging would be accurate if the cards were in Near mint condition, but many of the cards are beat up, or moderately-heavily played, and that drops the value significantly.Customer Service: The customer service is terrible. When you walk in no one greets you or even acknowledges your presence. This has happened the past two times I have been in. The past two times I had to get the workers attention in order to be helped at all. It is almost like they do not even care about customers.
What can I say about this place? It’s amazing! Anytime I go in all the associates, and even the owner himself are very kind and helpful. They have an amazing stock of various things! From anything anime related, to D&D! This is my first choice for when I am pokemon card hunting. The whole team is knowledgeable about the product, and they’re pricing is fair! I always find something I gotta have, and I am thankful to have a shop like this in Eastgate! There aren’t many places like this around, and we’re lucky to have this shop in our little tristate area. ✨😊
Was able to reliably get our first experience with shining fates and other pokemon tcg from the store at prices that dont match the scalpers. You can tell they are really trying to limit scalpers and give as many people the joy of opening packs for their own collection. Gave my sibling in law an amazing experience and got some great cards theyll sleeve up and treasure forever. :)
This place is the best! My son recently got into Pokémon cars and I wanted to make sure I was getting legit cards and not fakes or resealed packs from Amazon. The owner of the shop was so helpful and gave me some tips on buying and what to watch out for as far as fakes. I will be getting my cards from here from now on.
Very cool store, expensive as these types of stores typically are. For example, I went in looking for miniature tabletop figurines. They have the one I wanted but it was $9.99. I can go online and get a variety pack of 15 (including the one I want) for $25. Still, they have a great selection of cards and tabletop boardgames.Younger long haired gentleman was extremely rude. The other older gentleman with gray hair was slightly more welcoming but still hag a hurry up and get out of here vibe which made me feel rushed. Probably wont go back.
This store is an amazing gem. The staff can be a little awkward, but incredibly kind. I have come in a few times to grab miniatures and every time the selection has been varied and impressive. My wife has also started painting miniatures and their collections of paints is great! A really wonderful store.
Nice place, friendly atmosphere, lots of new things. It tends to change layout pretty often, but personally I like that. Prices are about the same as they would be online, do depending weather you want something now or have it delivered is up to you. I do love the availability they have for gatherings for DND and other games.
The owner seems like a cool guy and is typically very helpful. They have a plethora of stuff to look at. I mainly look for MTG cards and they have what I want probably 50% of the time. My issue comes from 2 things 1) its very much a niche place where they assume everyone who comes in is a regular. Prime example being for a pre-release event and I saw no rules posted so found out during the event I did several things wrong. As a casual customer better organization and questions from the staff are needed. Event started over an hour past the listed start time and there was never any communication about it no apologies and when I made commentary about the situation the workers and other customers looked dumbfounded that I was questioning this like it was common knowledge this happens all the time. 2) the owners son provides the worst customer service imaginable. He is not approachable and doesnt seem to care in anyway if he gets your business. The rest of the staff seems pretty good but whenever the son is around you know youre not going to get a good customer experience. Its probably different if youre a regular and he knows you.In general I love to see small businesses succeed but in order to grow substantially you need to attract new customers by providing a positive, helpful and informative first time experience. Which sad to say is hard to come by at this place. In particular when the son is working the counter.
Best selection and pricing on Pokemon products in the area. They use TCG to look up pricing and also use what they call a buy mat so you know what you are really paying for each card. I was lucky enough to be there as they got in more kanto power and build and battle boxes and i bought them all, sure they were marked up to just below the going rates but it was still a great deal. They will be my 1st stop for anything pokemon related in the future. Keep up the great work guys.
Cool place. Theres been many different stores like this that have been in there, last ones being game swap and games over. Glad to see this place is keeping the retro gaming still alive. Its fun to come in and look at the retro games and buy some games for the old atari.
I just love buying my MTG cards and supplies from here. Good prices. If they dont have it they can get it for you. A good environment to play casual or competitive. They have many other things to check out depending on your game or collectable hobbies. Parents take your kid here they will love the options they have to choose from. Your wallet might not like it though! Lol they also have a store loyalty system rewarding you with points. Well worth spending your money here over other places.
I love this place. A very friendly pleasant atmosphere. Everyone who comes seems comfortable and in their element. My teen and husband visit a lot and do tournaments. The owner is fine with customers bringing food in and doesn’t limit their stay.I really wish we had a place like this growing up, for teens and adults to frequent. Keeps the kids out of trouble and gives this something to look forward too, when it’s cold and nasty outside.
I’ve only been to this store a couple times, but every single time there was at least one staff member not helping another customer that could help me either find what I want, or to answer my questions. The staff were helpful, and were more than ready to discuss our shared interest. Their inventory is quite ridiculous, something you can take quite a bit of time looking through for the right cards. It seems most of the negative reviews have been posted in a short amount of time, all stemming from a single person’s complaint of not getting a position at the store they had no need for, and all using very similar phrases and complaints. Do with it what you will, but this is an incredible store that I personally will return to, and I encourage you to do the same.
All their employees are paid under the table. Dude expects the world of them for nothing. He over charged hoping “someone who doesn’t know what it’s worth” will pay for it.He takes out loans to pay his rent so the mall doesn’t kick him out.The owner, and his son are both rude as can be.The only thing good about this place are the people why play there, though people seem to migrate elsewhere after a while. Really hope this place shuts down.Oh yeah! NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING is ever their fault. Note how they reply to the negative reviews. EXTREMELY Unprofessional, and extremely rude.
Nothing but good experiences with the shop so far. Just discovered this gem a couple weeks ago. I plan to give them all my mtg business and hopefully Ill be able to win a few tourneys as well! Staff always seems happy to help find things or educate customers on anything they can help with.
Very cool place, great selection. Though, all the games are way more expensive than what you can get them for on Amazon. My advice, write down the games your interested in and their prices, then compare with whats on Amazon. Great place to hang out and browse though, and probably awesome for gaming.
I left a negative review some time ago but I have been floored recently with the change in the place. The staff are super kind and love to talk about their wares and help you find any card youre looking for. With the exception of the son, who I rarely deal with anymore, everyone there is very nice and knows a lot about what theyre talking about and selling, and will talk with you at length. theyre easy to make conversation with and most have similar interests as me. I love coming to the open tournament nights; everyone is so nice and supportive. the place did a complete 180 and I am more than happy to admit that I was wrong and have changed my tune completely. 12/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone.
Store is nice, clean and organized. Staff was helpful. Unless you really need the cash, sell your cards to an online retailer. They will siff through your cards a couple of times, make some excuses about how cards will take them awhile to sell and then low ball you on price. I understand the store needs to make money, but an online retailer offered me more than two times what the store was offering. I think it would be helpful if the store would look at cards more thoroughly, and offer a more fair price. The reason why they didnt offer fair value was because stock may take a while to sell. The online retailer will have more stock than any store will have, and yet they will offer more for your cards. Besides that, I would recommend this store for anyone interested in comics or card gaming. Thank you.
I was looking around the eastgate mall with my boyfriend and we happened upon time warp cards and comics I bought a comic for $1.99 and a 2 pack of wwe action figures for $24.99 for my son. I gave the cashier 2 20 dollar bills we were talking about the undertaker action figure and how I couldnt find any online for under $40.00 let alone a 2 pack(undertaker and Jeff hardy) I dont know if I unintentionally distracted him but he gave me my change and it was $10 short. I didnt realize it until we were almost home and stopped for gas (we live in hyde park) and we had already been to florence KY and everything we didnt feel like going all the way back out there. My boyfriend told me to let it go its only 10 dollars.. but it is the principle of the situation I didnt know if it was a mistake or if it was some underhanded stuff either way its disappointing.Update: I went back and the gentleman gave my ten dollars back. Thank you!!!

2022-07-28Lots of cool stuff but very poor customer service. The guy working was too busy watching videos on his laptop to acknowledge any customers. Im not even sure he knew that we had even come into the store.

2022-04-15I’ve had nothing but good experience’s with Time warp owner and employees. I sell MTG singles to this establishment frequently and not only is the owner fair with purchasing prices but has even recognized times when I didn’t recognize that I had higher value than what I had thought and gave me more than what I had originally asked for. They are always pleasant and I enjoy listening to the knowledge they have.

2022-08-27Stopped in a few times while on vacation this week. This store has two parts— one is collectibles, comics and the like, the other is an arcade. They have a wide variety of items, I was able to get some JJBA stickers and a PS2 controller. The owner is very chill and kind, I will definitely be back!

2022-09-08Amazing selection of figures, board games, cards, comics, and more. I specifically come to check out D&D sourcebooks and have purchased a couple. Next Ill be getting some miniatures, which they have a vast selection of as well. Very knowledgeable and kind staff. Definitely check them out, and their store next door thats full of videogames for older consoles at a more than reasonable price

2022-09-01The actual store was really nice and the fellow running is was very friendly. It has a lot of nice anime, game, and retro stuff. Their Arcade part next door the fellow running it was playing on a computer ignored everyone who came in, couldnt seem to be bothered to try and engage.

2022-09-04Ive been to this store a couple of times over the years. Each time its utterly disappointing. They have absolutely great products, but terrible customer service. The only reason I will consider coming back is because they stock a particular deck box that no one else usually has for a decent price.

2022-05-17A perfect place for Weebs and tabletop gamers alike. They have a large selection of manga, toys, games, and candy. My kids love it. Its also a good place to buy birthday presents for tweens and younger teenagers.Next door is an arcade and gaming space. It seems like a great place for a tabletop gaming meet up or a birthday party.

2022-05-15Its a pretty cool place if you are looking to get into card games. Plus they have an arcade attached to it. The one issue I have with the place is if you are looking for a certain card, the people will not really help you in any way. Like I dont expect them to dig but I didnt know they had certain type cards in different boxes behind their desk..it took me 3 employees to find that out and the last two werent even bothered to help. One last thing, the staff dont know how to be quiet and work sometimes..like as I am looking for a card the last staff member that helped me talked my ear off for 30 minutes about nonsense and things I wasnt even in there looking for...it also halts the line for the register too. Its like trying to just buy a dollars worth of cards but it takes you 15 minutes to check out cause the clerk and the customer in front of you are talking about their DND builds. I do however like that I can find many Pokemon, magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Warhammer, indie board games and much MUCH more. Thats what saves the weird and awkward service. That sweet variety.
