Tiltons in Worthington is the best auto repair in greater Columbus area, no question about it. Ive used Oxford auto and Lukes, both pale in comparison. In an era or great customer service being extraordinarily rare, you can still find it here. Matt Sides is the best service writer in the city, respectful, sympathetic, knowledgeable, great at communicating. I was a lifelong customer at Matts dads shop Metro Transmissions and I followed him to Tiltons, and he is worth the long drive. Tiltons better hold on to him.
I have a 2015 Ford Escape that is just breaking down. I went into Tilton’s and met with a guy named Matt Sides. Honestly I thought the shop was a scam because of how amazing Matt was with his customer service and what the different parts and things were that I would need to get to get back on the road. Matt truly made me a returning customer.
It is a pleasure to use Tilton’s for our car needs. They are friendly, responsive and fair in their pricing. I had a car repair need recently that was going to prevent me from making a work meeting and they told me to bring the car in that morning and they would have me back on the road in 30 minutes…that is service!
These folks are great -- they really care about their customers! I have had a particularly difficult transmission problem, and they have stuck with the problem until it was resolved. They also helped me with the warranty and dealing with the auto maker, etc. Plus, they are very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!!
Our Crossfire has been fixed by the Tilton team. The electrical problem that has plagued the car was resolved at a very fair price. I was advised by an alternator repair shop owner that Tiltons has an electrical specialist that could find and repair the fault in our car’s circuitry. I highly recommend Tiltons for auto service.
I had a tire blow out after hitting a pothole on the freeway. The tire went flat and wouldnt take air. I called Matt Sides and he called a tow truck for me right away, towed my car in and gave me a ride to the shop. He was able to get me a tire quickly, took care of changing it and got me going fast. Thank you Matt and Tiltons for taking care of my problem!!
Problem was correctly diagnosed as an upstream O2 sensor based on the readout of an engine code. However, $457 for this very simple diagnosis and repair seems very high. Price included two full hours of labor and a mysterious $31 fee. I will be looking for a new mechanic.
Tiltons is awesome! As an OSU student not from Columbus, I was unsure if I would find a quality place that treated me well and didnt rip me off. Everyone at Tiltons was extremely friendly, understanding and super kind! They are amazing and I recommend them to everyone- super clean waiting room with complimentary WIFI/coffee/water as well. (review Spring 2017)Updated, August 2020:I found a sheet metal screw in my tire today at work which caused a flat tire (ironically I had just got all new tires 2 weeks ago—frustrating!) I called Tilton’s and they sent a service truck to check it out. They refilled the tire with air and I drove it to their Worthington shop a mile down the road. They immediately took my car back, removed the screw and patched the tire while I was able to sit in their nice waiting room and work remotely. From my initial phone call to me leaving their location, it was 40 minutes. Not to mention they patched my tire free of charge!!They have the friendliest staff, a clean facility and nice waiting room, and do quick, reliable work. This is my second great experience at Tilton’s and I highly recommend them! Don’t hesitate to call and have work done on your vehicle here!!
We have used Tiltons since we moved to Worthington two years ago on the recommendation of locals. After our most recent experience, we will be loyal for life. I took my Honda Odyssey into Tiltons for what I thought was a minor fluid leak, but turned out to be a major engine problem.I cannot imagine an auto service provider being more honest, forthright, or helpful in such a situation. After the technician diagnosed the problem, Andy and the Tiltons staff spent hours of their day facilitating a transfer to the dealership so that we could take advantage of our extended warranty. A dishonest auto service could have easily preyed on my relative ignorance and made a bunch of money out of the deal. Tiltons, on the other hand, went above and beyond to ensure we maximized our warranty benefits, and even towed the car to the dealership for us (for a fee, but it was far less hassle than getting a third party involved).This major car problem came at a particularly stressful time, and it could have brought my familys life to a grinding halt. The integrity, character, and kindness that Andy, BC, and the whole Tiltons crew demonstrated was so far above and beyond their obligation that you cant even see the bare minimum from here. They saved us thousands of dollars (at their own expense, because it was the right thing to do), and they brought a degree of peace and ease into a process that was objectively quite stressful. We will be Tiltons customers for as long as we live here, and you should be too.
Okay so Ive been going to Tiltons for many years but as of the last couple of years they been slipping. They used to be very reasonably priced/affordable but now their charging more then dealer prices. Brought in my car and they had listed like 4-5 different things that were overdue for example radiator flush, transmission flush, sparkplug replacement and there was a couple of other items which I dont remember. But anyway I went to the dealership and they suggested the same services and they quoted me a price of $200-300 less for all the same work.Another point also they seem to use cheap parts as replacement parts. I got a brake job done their a couple of years ago and it never seemed right their was some creaking noises here and there even a year later. I had them check it out but they said everything looked fine. Also now when I brake firmly I get lots of frontend vibration due to the brakes rotor being warped already which Im sure is due to the cheap rotors they use. This shouldnt be happening so soon. I also have friend who had to get the same parts replaced a couple of times due to the part giving out too fast. Id rather go to the dealer where they will use genuine parts and not some cheap parts. Of coarse the dealer aint perfect either they want to charge you $25 as a service fee just to replace a air filter. But Ill do that myself anyway.Tiltons do good work but their prices and their cheap parts is what will prevent me from going there.
My first experience with Tiltons was on New Year’s Eve and one of my road supervisors had a tire that started leaking air he arrived at the shop five minutes before closing time and they still took the car in and patched the tire. I dropped my car off to be serviced for a water leak on the passenger side. I made it clear that I only wanted that side fixed and that it was possible the seal needing replaced. After having my car all day they told me the seal around my entire car was fine they saw nothing wrong. They send me a quote to replace the weather strips around the ENTIRE truck. Also, he mentioned that this may not fix my issue. So tell me why would I trial and error and I sent my car there for you to know???I then asked how much it was to fix the seal for the passenger door only like I originally asked and he said he will get back to me the next day,Friday. I asked them some days later for a quote and they said they will not work on my car unless it’s to replace the seals around my entire car and not just the door.Sounds money hungry. Why am I paying someone to fix something that is not the problem.Waste of my time.The dealer ended up being cheaper.
First, very friendly over the phone like they truly wanted to help with my punctured tire. Took me immediately as a walk (drive) in, were very quick to take care of my truck, and didnt charge for repairing my tire. When I insisted on paying, they directed me to a donation box for the Worthington Resource Pantry across the street. Amazing hospitality, service, and generosity!
Andy and his crew work at a much higher professional standard than any automotive repair shop I’ve done business with in my life. Though you may be able to find a place that does the work cheaper, Tilton’s has always done repairs on time and at the price they quoted; plus, they always completely fixed the issue correctly the first time. When you drive home, you can feel confident the repair was done properly and you no longer need to worry about the issue.Their customer service is well beyond the industry standard as well. They excel communication including scheduling and once they have looked at the car, they always clearly explain the issue, the cause of the issue, and the repair needed (and if applicable, they give you choices on their recommended repairs). Also, once, they did a quick repair on a Friday so our family could leave on a family trip the following day and another time they even delivered the car to our home (we live nearby the shop) when they completed the work! You can trust Tiltons to repair your car competently and thoroughly the first time.

Serpentine belt broke and tensioner also needed replaced. One call to Tilton’s and we were taken in the next morning. We received a detailed estimate for needed repairs. Job was completed that day and we were back on the road by 4:00pm. Great service with care and professionalism. We would highly recommend Tilton’s for any auto need you encounter!
Everything was great. You guys were awesome! Definitely coming back in the future. Fair and honest and reasonably priced, while also great quality. They have a top notch system in place for wheel alignment and the process of choosing new tires was easy and simple and honest based on my needs.
I had an excellent experience with Tiltons. This is the second time Ive been to Tiltons, but the first time using this location. The owner and staff were all very professional. and friendly. I was having starting issues and want to ensure it wasnt anything more than a bad battery so I asked for an all around check as well. They took my car in immediately and not only replaced the battery for a great price, but also did an all around check to make sure it was ready and in good condition for an upcoming long road trip. I will absolutely return the next time I need service.
Mr Tilton was extremely professional and addressed our concerns immediately. The service was performed well and in a timely manner. Then, they followed up with us the next day to be sure the brakes worked well and we were satisfied. We will definitely be using this company in the future for our automotive needs and would highly recommend to others.
Tilton’s has done an amazing job every time they work on my car. I recently took it in after another shop completely messed up my brakes. They were honest with me, they fixed everything and quickly especially considering it was over the Christmas holiday. These guys are all very nice and great to work with. Highly recommend them.
Tiltons service was excellent! I will never go anywhere else to have my car serviced. They scheduled me the next day when I called and were right on time when I arrived for my appt. They checked my cars battery, diagnosed the problem, and gave me the results plus cost in good time. They had to order a special battery for my Acura, but still had my car finished little over an hour. Their business wss clean and neat and I felt very comfortable in their waiting room. I loved the personal attention Andy and Chris gave me. Chris even texted me the next day to make sure my battery was working great in the extreme cold temperatures. What a wonderful experience! I cant even get a call back from the owner anymore. Took my truck there and they were so busy nobody even bothered to discuss my ridiculously high estimate and rushed me right out the door. Left my truck running door open in the parking lot raining. The lot was so full I have no idea how it happened but it definitely happened there- I noticed a good sized scratch and gouge in my brand new wheels. Im so disgusted with it all. Maybe this review will get me a call back as I have left two messages now.
I had a great experience recently getting some major engine work done with Tilton’s. After getting screwed by the warranty from when I purchased the car I was desperately trying to call around to get a fair price for the work that needed done. Very few places were even willing to do engine work and those who did just wanted to put an entire new engine in. After explaining my issues to Andy he offered to take a look at the vehicle and see if Tilton’s could help. He was knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my questions and help me decide on what repairs to focus on given my budget and issues. The work was done well and my car is running better than before. I have found my “go to” shop for any of my car issues.
I have a custom 1970 Chevy C-10, that I needed a set of headers and exhaust put on. I brought the vehicle to Tiltons Automotive Service, I was very cordially greeted, and felt comfortable with them and my “prize” truck. Every step of the way, I was kept informed. The professionals at Tiltons were friendly, informative and I felt like they took actual pride and ownership in my vehicle repairs. They were amazing and I will ONLY ever take my truck to them for future repairs and upgrades. I could not say enough positive things about how they took care of my truck. 10/10 will be back!
I had a bus brought to you guys at the end of July. I had called from NJ asking to make the appt, stating I would pay whatever needed to be paid to ensure the bus was safe enough for me to drive it 10+ hours home, as well as a smart purchase in general.My flight ended up getting delayed and I reluctantly had to ask the sellers to bring the bus to you guys, without me present.Once home, I brought it to a friend who is a mechanic and I am now paying to have all of the things fixed.During my, what should have been a 9-10 hr drive that turned into 13 hours, I learned that I was correct in being apprehensive about trusting a company to do something correctly while Im not present to watch.I had a broken seat belt. Fried dashboard with no temperature gauge, which on a diesel during a 520 mile trip is kind of important. A steering damper that needed replacing, oh and shot alignment so the bus needed to be driven at a wonderful 45-55mph the entire way, while also fighting the constant swerving it wanted to do.So I just wanted to reach out and thank you guys for essentially stealing my money, its greatly appreciated.
Called them when I had issues starting my car and they were able to take me in right away. Everyone there was very friendly and explained to me exactly what was happening with my car and what needed to be done to repair it. They ran some tests and were able to just replace the battery and my car has been running great since!
Tiltons performed some major suspension work on my Saab convertible. Basically returning it to near factory new condition. Following their initial diagnostic work all of the updates were completed in a timely fashion . In addition Tiltons kept me apprised of the repairs as the project proceeded with both phone calls and text messages. In fact they also did two follow-up inquiries to check up on their repairs. Way to go!! All in all I felt as if I was their most valued customer. Bottom line? Superb service all the way around. Five stars. Excellent service. Great job. Highly recommended. I am running out of superlatives to describe Tiltons. Thanks Tiltons for a great job.
Tilton’s is great! I’ve taken my car there several times and they are always very friendly and helpful. This last time, the technicians found the problem, fixed it, and I havent had any issues with it since! They also went the extra step to replace my turn signal for me. Definitely happy with everything from start to finish!
Good experience. Have used in past for own vehicles as well as some company vehicles. We’re able to get me in on short notice and take care of the issues. Enjoy the website with the quotes and my ability to approve or deny the repairs. Good communication from them as well.
I took my car here for a second opinion after a dealership told me the car had a blown motor and would be $11,500 to replace. The guys at Tilton’s went through the motor and found out I needed a new oil pump. They were able to fix my car quickly and saved me a great deal of money that I didn’t need to spend. I would highly recommend them to anyone. These guys are the last of a dying breed. They treat their customers like family and take care of customer vehicles like they would their own.
My vehicle was taken to Tiltons by mistake (crazy story, I know...). When I called Tiltons to explain our mishap, they were kind and considerate. When I picked-up the vehicle, I dealt with four (4) different employees. Each was amazing and helpful; they treated me with great kindness - even though we did no business and they had nothing to gain. Its clear to me that Tiltons is in the people business as well as automotive service. My car will go to Tiltons on purpose next time!
I am a little over due writing this review, but I would like to commend Tiltons for doing an excellent job replacing the engine in my truck. After having a terrible experience at another shop in Westerville who mis-diagnosed my engine and convinced me that my engine was good and had me do a bunch of other repairs only to find out the engine had a bad piston ring, and needed to be rebuilt or replaced. I shopped around different local repair shops and found that Tiltons seemed to offer the most value and were the most professional. Before, I hired them, they took me through there shop which is large, clean and organized. I was impressed at what I saw and decided to have them put a new Jasper engine in my Bronco. I am very pleased with their workmanship. They took the time to clean the engine bay, organize all of the emission hoses and wiring to look better than factory. It is little details like this that gives me confidence that the job was done right. I also had them put new tires on the truck and they took the time to paint the spare as it is mounted on the back of the tail gate. Tiltons was not the cheapest estimate, I received, but I am willing to pay a little more for a quality job and I think I got a very quality job that was price fair and done on time. I would recommend Titlons for any auto repair.
Many years a customer of Tiltons and I can always count on an honest assessment of my cars needs, prompt service, and fair charges. It is absolutely true that Andy and crew treat you like family....they take great pride in the quality of their work and in their customer service, and rightly so!
Tiltons is the only place I trust completely! I go there for anything my car needs, from windshield wipers to brakes. I always get an honest assessment of my car’s issues and never once have I been told I need more work than necessary. The best part is they don’t just treat you like family, you are family to them! There’s nowhere else I’d take my car and I tell everyone I know to go to Tiltons!

My wife has a 1992 Honda Accord EX that she has loved since it was new. 98K miles and still running well. Tiltons has, most recently, hand-crafted new brake lines and power steering lines, fixed rear brakes, a power window and replaced a rear engine mount. Excellent and careful work on our classic!
Trustworthy, honest, helpful, caring! I couldnt recommend Tiltons enough!! I had a flat tire and went in the next day on the donut to see if they could fix my original tire. They were able to put a plug in and put the tire back on all within 10 minutes (and the waiting room was so clean and comfortable!) and they did it for FREE. Their friendliness and service have created a Tiltons customer for life!
Honesty and integrity are their specialties.My mother-in-laws car (Corolla) had been sitting idle in a garage for about a year. There was some evidence that mice had been in the trunk, at least. At first, we took it to the dealer to evaluate for damage. We made the mistake of telling them about the mice and they tried to take advantage of us. The dealer told us that mice had essentially crippled all the engine wiring and damages would cost 5-10k. Or, they would be willing to buy the car off of us (at a fraction of its worth!) to sell at auction. Before agreeing to either of these plans, we sought a second opinion at Tiltons. Turns out, the car was fine. There was only a very minor wire covering damage from the mice, which Tiltons patched for us at no charge. We needed new tires and an air filter, but the car had not been mortally wounded. The dealer had LIED to us. What the dealer had told us would cost thousands to repair only cost us in the hundreds. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the honest, professional service from Tiltons. We are going to go here from now on for all our automotive needs!
Brought my car in for brake service and they did not completely fix the problem. i had to come back and now they want to charge me more for something that was fine but all of a sudden is not working properly on the brakes? I worked with Andy Tilton and he provided me a quote. Never gave me a discount as he stated he would and also after getting home I see they had a special 10% off for any work over $100 coupon online. Sure would have been nice to have let me know. Bad business etiquette and honesty from owner.
Im giving Tiltons a 5 star grade, for professionalism, availability of service, cost, reliability and honesty.The AC in my 2012 Honda Fit did not work well for a couple of years, and was completely out this summer. After initial performance test and AC recharge ($200) by Germain Honda, the AC still did not work. The dealer advised that the whole system must be replaced due to disintegrated compressor spitting shards of metal through the system. The estimate for parts and labor came at $4000, with a discount already applied!I brought the car to Tiltons the following day and received two estimates: one for all components, and one without replacing the evaporator. Both were very fair and honest, with cost of parts and labor broken down, and significantly lower than the dealers.Tiltons was able to do the repair the same week. At the end, the invoice was even lower than the best case scenario estimate! I could not be happier with the service and value I received from Tiltons. I have used the car for a couple of hot weeks since then, including for a trip to Washington DC, and the AC works great!I highly recommend Tiltons staff and services for any repairs.
Had an issue with my Buick would just turn off while you were driving. Dropped it off to Tiltons and nothing showed on the diagnostic. So they tried a couple things to see if it would make a difference. A few days later needed to take the car back in and they were able to figure it out. Now the car works great thank goodness.
We received fast and very personal service. We were treated well with thorough explanations and answers to all of our questions. This was my first time at Tilton’s and I was SO IMPRESSED! They made me feel welcome the second I walked in the door. I was going to have to leave my Journey over the weekend for my repair but the team went above and beyond and had my repair done same day. Thank you! I will be back (hopefully not too soon) but will recommend Tilton’s to everyone I know!
Older car, had two sway bars to replace. Not an easy task since items were locked into place over many years. Service staff was helpful and friendly and got the job done well. A good place to take your car for service. Thanks to Bob and Andy and the rest of their staff.
The owner is very professional and kind. I was told that I needed new shocks when I got new tires and I brought it here because my cars extended warranty works here. They said that they dont need replaced but they took out the stabilizing bar and lubricared it and put it back on for free. Very quick too. Will come back
I received great service! They let me know of everything that was wrong and advised on what was necessary to get fixed. I appreciate that they didnt add parts or make repairs before consulting with me. Chris has continued to follow up and make sure that everything was running fine even after I left.

Mind. BLOWN. We had a small hole in our front passenger tire. No big deal, right? Drive the two miles from our location to here praying the entire way. Pulled up, checked in, and had our tire repaired within 10 minutes. No must, no fuss! Amazing customer service!!! I wish I could give five more stars for this place. Tiltons provided quick service with lots of care to details. I came in to get gas lines fixed and they informed me that my oil was a little off color. I had just had an oil change 1 month prior but I had them change it due to poor quality oil from other provider. Most garages wont actually take the time to look at the quality of the oil folks. Please give Tiltons a try, you wont be disappointed! Nothing but professionals.

I love Tiltons! We needed new tires and I called on Friday to see if I could schedule something for the next week. I was told that they needed to get me in that day because snow was expected over the weekend. They got me in and out on Friday so I was ready for the snow that fell on Saturday. They went above and beyond what I expected. Thank you!!!

Great service! We had a lot of work done on our Armada and they were honest, friendly, professional and most of all we didnt feel like they were gouging us. All work was completed in 2 days...one day to diagnosis and the second to do the work. They support their Community and I would highly recommend them.
After living in Columbus for several years my husband and I could not find a reliable mechanic that we trusted. We stumbled upon Tiltons within the last year and have been extremely satisfied with both the quality of service and work. Andy, the owner, is responsive and available. He attends to customers immediately and will always answer questions or concerns regarding our car issues even if it is closing time on a Friday. Within the last few months both my husband and I have had major repairs on our vehicles. When part of the repair failed on my husbands truck, Andy scheduled it to come back in to replace it under the warranty quickly. They offer rides home, rides to work and even offered a loaner car when mine required work for several days. This was a life saver! Customer service is key, and they have that down pat! The place is always busy and there seems to be repeat customers there every time I go.
While I still will hope to give Tilton’s another chance, I am disappointed in my recent service appointment. I set an appointment 2 weeks in advance for an overall inspection on my 74,00 mi 10 yr old Nissan, to include belts, hoses, brakes, muffler, oil change, tire rotation, power steering making a zipper sound with turns,I took my car in at 8:30 AM for my appointment. I called at 2:50 PM and car had not been taken into service bay. Car was done around 5PM. No mention of overall inspection, “we didn’t notice anything wrong w steering”. No mention of inspection of overall condition of hoses and belts or muffler. Was charged for oil change, tire rotation, air filter and oil filter.$ 101.78.Could have gone to Valvoline! Be in and out in 30 mins
Our secondary car is currently a 2007 Accord with less than 90k and we attempt to keep the body and mechanicals in good working order. We had previously taken any older cars outside of warranty we had to a national chain M _ _ _ _ _ _ who more recently was making obvious attempts wanting to perform work that wasnt really needed and overcharge. After reading reviews we decided to try Tiltons at 6661 Huntley Rd. What a great find this was. The first repair was the A/C and the cost was quite reasonable. They requested us to return in a few weeks to see if any leaks had developed. We did so, and no leaks. Tiltons has provided additional services since then and everything has been handled well. The customer service is truly fantastic. Anyone even considering going to a national chain, not happy with their current car care provider, or making a first attempt to find one should go to Tiltons ! ☆☆☆☆☆ !
We live in Michigan and travel quite frequently to Worthington to visit our grandbabies. Traveling as often can create car challenges. We were referred to Tiltins, as the go to place. And it is. We have had to purchase tires, have the van towed and repaired. Everytime that we have dealt with them, they are professional and prices competitive. Not only are they efficient, they are extremely friendly.
Unprofessional and Overpriced!!!!I am usually not one to give poor reviews unless I feel it is truly necessary, but with that said I am very disappointed with the service we received from Tiltons Automotive. This was our second time to use them for service and the first time the service was acceptable but when we picked up our car after hours there was a screwdriver left in our car and a piece of our gear shift was removed and we had to find the piece laying on the floor and snap it back in. Though the service was not excellent the first time we decided to give them another chance when a censor needed replaced. We dropped our car off after hours on a Wednesday and was told it might not get looked at until Friday, well Friday came and went and they are closed weekends so I called first thing Monday morning and they said it was looked at on Friday and that they could easily get the parts and it would be ready that day. By 5 on Monday I was concerned that we hadnt heard from them so again I was the one to call and ask, they said the parts were harder to get then they thought and it wouldnt be finished until tomorrow. So this left our family with only one car for 6 days. I feel that they were very unprofessional with not communicating with us and extremely overly priced, at several places the diagnostic tests will be waived if you decide to have service completed there and the amount they charged for the parts and labor was ridiculous; we understand that there is overhead but being treated like our car wasnt important and then charging us double what it should have been is very wrong. Do not have your car serviced at Tiltons Auto unless you like poor customer service and have money to throw away!!!!
They are honest people who conduct their business with integrity. They fix the cars and stand behind their work. They offer straight advice and will not try to sell you something you do not need. I have done business with them for over 30 years and will continue to do so.
I had the pleasure of having a gentleman named Tyler plug my tire. Though I will say that Im not one for plugging tires (I prefer a patch and it was offered after I mentioned so though I passed it up due to being in a time crunch), it was absolutely free and Tyler had me in and out of the door in a fast and efficient manner. He allowed me to watch the work being done on my tire and listened to me talk about my late grandfathers (now closed) tire shop while he worked on it.With me being new to the area, I greatly appreciate the kindness I was given at this shop.Thank you again, Tyler, for your hard work. And thank you Tiltons for fixing my tire for free. I will definitely recommend this shop to others.
Amazing. I really cant remember doing business with anyone in Columbus that thinks about anything but the immediate bottom dollar. This was a first. pulled in to get a plug in a tire. They took the truck in right away and did the work. The tech said that I was ready to go, no charge. The option to donate to the local food bank, but , no charge. love this
Sent my car in for a new tire, oil change, and wheel alignment. They told me it would be done by 1. I called at 1:45 for an update and they said 3 pm. Called at 3, they said 4:30. I wasted half a day of work(I had to call off) and when I went in the next day (today) they acted very frustrated and annoyed with me. Lost $70 in wages but oh, they did give me 10% off ($30) after I explained what a major inconvenience their service has been.
I only had them break down some rims/tires for me so nothing huge to talk about. What they did do that impressed me was instead of charging me for removal and disposal, they had me make a contribution to the food bank roughly equal to the cost of the service.Very cool, first rate.
I had been a customer of Tiltons for about 2 years. During my first few visits for regular maintenance, everything went very well. Recently however, the quality of the repairs has begun to slip. During my previous visit there were two significant issues. The first involved a rattling after my in-cabin air filter was replaced. While Titlons did try to figure out the issue, they eventually washed their hands of it and made effort to reconcile. During this same visit, I had my coolant replaced, and the morning after the repair I found that I had a major coolant leak. Apparently they re-used the plug and had damaged it when they went to screw it back into place. Tiltons did fix the issue, but it was several days afterwards.Just double check their work and remain firm if issues from their repairs do arise.
This by far the best place to take your car in columbus. They are fast, dependable, nice and dont over charge for services. They also dont try and take advantage of their customers, like some auto places I have been too. I have been there twice and had a great experience both times.
I took my car several months ago for muffler repair they only replaced the gaskets and asked me to come back for the full exhaust repair. When I took it in for spark plugs they charged me for the sparks plugs and doubled the price they quoted me to complete the exhaust work.
Mangers are honest and willing to show you pictures of problem or broken parts. They seem to find other important things that need repaired that create safety problems. They are willing to help with transportation when repair takes longer than expected due to extra things needing fixed.
I had $1700 worth of stuff done to my car when I get my car back theres more problems then before. Tried to take it back into them and explain the problems that I was experiencing and they said there is nothing wrong never going back terrible service terrible people piss on tiltons. Oh did I mention Im never going back
Tiltons is seriously Columbuss best kept secret..the staff is incredibly efficient and I dont mean one of them..ALL of them..prices are very competitive..the place is clean as a whistle and when u find a business where it is an absolute pleasure to do business, it takes away some of the ouch on auto repairs..I will never go elsewhere..I am a small business owner and when u have that many positive variables firing on all cylinders, it needs to be noted..that comes from only one source..Leadership..and thats from the top down..congrats guys..you are fantastic..John @ jvp stucco

2022-07-01I purchased a used vehicle and was completely bamboozled. Andy, Jason and the team of folks at Tiltons did an amazing job of thoroughly looking over the car and finding everything that required attention. They found ways to lessen the expense, yet make sure the car was safe and road worthy for my family. Finding an honest, kind and respectful mechanic in this day and age can be challenging but I believe I have found them~

2022-09-06Had my car towed to the Worthington location on a Thursday, for an unexpected appointment I was able to get my vehicle back in about 6 days. The guys were very professional and polite which really helped ease the burden. They also did a full diagnostic on my vehicle so I am aware of all that needs work. Thanks yall.

2022-07-14Tiltons kept in constant communication and was a true pleasure to do business with. They have worked on both my wifes SUV and my car and we have had exceptional service each time. I would highly recommend them to anyone. BTW both our vehicles are specialty vehicles, so it is hard to find a good place to work on them at reasonable prices.

2022-06-13Van went in for head gasket . Said heads were to warped. Being that I have a auto reconditioning shop my self . I have good connections to get a replacement engine and trans. Which I had already explored that option. I’m to old to do this kind of work myself. They immediately added a so called handling charge of $750 . They added fees wherever they could . No integrity at all . Just plain greed! Ended up getting the van out . Paid them $900 . Charge for tearing the engine down. Now I’ve still got to find someone to install engine and trans. There was no interest in adjusting there bill . I was looking at spending over $5500 with them plus what I spent for the engine and trans. There building a new facility across the road and there doing on the back of their customers. I don’t know how they sleep at night. I’ve had a shop for 30 years . Never screwed customers. I only hope it catches up with them some day and becomes their downfall
