I have been a customer for about 6 years. The staff has always created a pleasurable shopping experience for me. Sky knows my taste in clothing and is always able to find the perfect item to compliment my wardrobe.
Love the clothing. Excellent quality. After shipping to me out of town alterations not done properly. However, store manager made it right. Very good service in the end. Ill definitely shop there again.

Clearly, Ticknors merchandise is top quality. But the experience would only be similar to shopping at Sax or Nordstrom were it not for the staff. These employees are well trained, know their products, understand clothing and are forever helping me to improve my wardrobe. Thank you, Ticknors!
We have had an incredible experience working with Ian McDonald and the team at Ticknors in the Polaris Mall. I really appreciate the time that Ian spends to pull together options that match our tastes and styles. It is definitely a personal shopper experience that is worth the drive from Dayton. Ticknors Polaris has been the only place I will go to shop for my business and casual clothes over the last several years. Bradley has been fantastic to work with and knows exactly what I am looking for, saving me time and frustration if going it on my own in any of the anchor stores. Receive multiple compliments in what I wear, and I had nothing to do with it other than trusting the great crew at Ticknors Polaris. No ones stuck up (cough Brooks Brothers! cough), and their clothing is great. The main guy working there (I forget his name, he has a beard) is great. Their tailors work for free!
GREAT place. If you are looking for a bit of swagger and wanting to dress to impress this is the place to go. The service is second to none, the clothing may be a bit bold for some but once you get used to getting compliments you will go back for more.

Suit did not fit well and I also discovered the morning of the wedding that they did not send my white shirt that I was measured for (and paid for) to wear under my suit. Glad I had a backup.

2022-07-21Customer service at this location is beyond disappointing and any bride/groom looking for a place for suits should continue looking or visit a different location. We just got married this July, 2022- our entire grooms side of the wedding party ordered wedding suits here, plus our fathers. The suits were extremely late, my now husband had to call and reach out over 6 times to hear anything back. When he finally heard back, Logan called after hours and left a voicemail saying he “took the liberty” of ordering us different suits, since ours suddenly weren’t going to make it in time for our wedding- with no warning or notice. We ordered in March for a wedding in July and we’re never told there was any issues, any reason why they would be late, and then no communication that we even needed to order or pick out new suits… there was no communication at all.Once we again, didn’t receive any communication or information about these new suits, my parents paid the store a visit to finally get someone to answer us.For suits that are not inexpensive, and ordering for a very important day in peoples lives, you would think customer service for these large orders would be taken more seriously.Everyone from our family and party that visited the store for questions or fittings, were treated like we were not worth anyones time and a major inconvenience. It is unfortunate bc our families and friends loved shopping here, and after this experience, no one plans to return.Logan does not even make eye contact or look up from his phone when you are in the store- yet he is who is fully responsible for wedding parties.Out of planning an entire wedding, this is the only vendor that we had a negative experience with.I cannot express enough to future brides and grooms that this location will treat you poorly the entire planning period. I cannot recommend to future couples.

I worked with Bradley, and he walked me through everything, showed me every sample that might match what I was looking for, and got me pinned up so I could see exactly what my custom piece would fit like. Would recommend to anyone looking for a really nice custom suit

2016-05-10I cant imagine shopping anywhere else. The staff is amazing and the clothes are phenomenal. I work in a pretty conservative environment but I want to have my own style. Every time Ive been in, theyve had JUST the right suggestions. I work with Sky 99% of the time and he understands me...he knows what I like, what my work environment is like, and guides me to the right clothes every single time. Heck, even the suits I bought 4 years ago still get compliments because Ticknors makes sure they fit right and the quality is such that I can continue to wear them for years.....this place is the best!

2019-12-08Wow is this place disappointing. I was in my brother’s wedding party and had a suit ordered. It came in with pants a good 10 inches larger than my measurements. The tailor remarked on having to “cut out a full belt loop even.” My jacket was even worse. Had to make alterations that are not supposed to ever happen. Then the employee told me that was what I got for ordering a $200 suit.I ended up with a jacket that was ok enough for 3 days before the wedding. Brought it back in October and have yet to hear from them when I’ll be getting a suit that actually fits me.

2016-04-07We love shopping at Ticknors! We are always greeted with a smile, they remember the style and brands of clothes we wear and frequently have things picked out for us. Not only will they tell us what looks good but more importantly, they tell us what doesnt. Honest and friendly service -- what more could we ask for?

2016-04-19Ticknors is the only place I buy mens clothing. Great selection of higher-end clothes with old-school service that is simply outstanding. I have never been disappointed with a purchase. However, I have been very disappointed with Ticknors website. Simply put, the site sucks. It contains very little information regarding products, and the products are often not updated until well into a season. If you order a gift card, it arrives weeks later and in a hand-addressed envelope. Very unprofessional. Ticknors needs to get with the times if it plans on profitable growth in the future.
