Deliberately overcharges for packages.I used the UPS website to calculate the price of my shipment so I knew how much to expect it. When I arrived at this UPS Store, they asked for an additional $10 over what I was quoted online. When I questioned the discrepancy, they explained that they add one inch to the actual measurements of the box. Even though my box was 12.5 x 12.5 x 16, they wanted to charge shipping as if it were 14 x 14 x 17.I walked out with my package and will never use UPS again. This ought to be illegal.
Worst place to deal with and ratchet customer service. Was told by the 1800 number to go to the hub located on E Main St in Newark. When arriving there was a SIGN ON THE DOOR that states to go to this hell hole instead during the day before 3:30pm. With that being said I went to this location today to pick up my 2 packages. Mind you I am approximately a half hour drive from both locations. Arrive at this location to ask said nasty and vulgar representative to look up my tracking numbers of which NEITHER ONE DID. They asked for my name and I gave them the name. They then claimed they did not have the packages. I then stated I was going to call the 1800 number right there in the store to see what they could do. One red headed chick decides she wants to tell me I have to LEAVE the STORE to call the 1800 number. I in return told her she was a joke picked up my tracking numbers and headed towards the door WHILE calling the 1800 number. She was too busy worried about her CHILD THAT WAS AT WORK WITH HER THAT DID NOT BELONG THERE TO BEGIN WITH THAT HAD TO GO TO A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT. So I told her to make sure she took her daughter because obviously she could care less about peoples packages. She then took it upon herself to RUN BEHIND ME while I was leaving out of the store to open the door and cuss and be vulgar in a threatening manor. I have reported it to UPS and they have LOST a customer. I ship hundreds of packages international every month from my wholesalers and will pay the extra price for FedEx because UPS is outrageous. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB regarding this location as well as contacting the police department in Newark because she was copying my plate number and harassing me once I exited the store. This by far is the WORST store to go to and the OWNER has a lot of explaining to do on behalf of their employee that thinks she can threaten their customers!
Ive had nothing but friendly, attentive service at this store! Nicole and Kera need to understand that UPS Store is NOT UPS. If UPS cant find their packages, how in the world can this store find them? Ive never asked the UPS STORE to help me find a package, why would I? Anything thing else Ive needed help with, theyve delivered - Pun intended :)
I had to ship several very large unusual packages and Mr. Wright was extremely helpful in finding the best pricing available. This location knows what good customer service is all about in a day and age when most people do not show they care. Thanks for a great experience!
Got there before 5:00 (closing time) have to wait outside because of their limit of four people allowed in the store. Lady comes out at 5:05 saying they are closed and unless we had a prepaid package we would have to comeback tomorrow.. I won’t be ever going back there.

2022-03-31Hands down best shipping service around! The employees are beyond helpful and so friendly! They legit treat me like family! They are the reason I refuse to buy my own label printer even though I own my own small business! I would miss going in and seeing everyone! I recommend the ups 21st street location for all your shipping needs! 🙌🏼

2021-12-23Just moved to the area and this was the second time Ive been in this UPS location. All the ladies are friendly and quick. They get your stuff processed and get you out of the door. Its not to see people having fun a their job while doing a fantastic job at the same time. Service is sorely lacking in todays world, but they still know what it is at this store. By the way, have the landlord of the shopping area fix that giant pothole in the parking lot:)

2021-12-31If I could leave zero stars, I would. Google said they were open until 630pm. Their phone message said they were open until 630pm. I showed up with a very large, heavy package at 255pm and the doors were locked. There were several people working in the store so I waved at one of them. She slowly made her way to the front of the store, dug a paper sign out of the trash, held it up on the glass just briefly enough to see it said they were closing at 3pm, and then dropped it on the ground and walked away. It was the equivalent of giving us the finger. There were 4 other customers outside the store. Keep in mind - we all arrived before 3, and nothing except the sign in the trash said they were closing at 3. UPS needs to take a close look at this franchise.

2021-12-19I write this review with a very heavy heart. I say that because almost everyone at this store is truly amazing. However, the owner is careless and wreckless. The package pictured below was not packaged, as one can tell. I paid for packaging. This is a thousand dollar camera lens.When Erin, the owner, heard of what happened, she didn’t call. She didn’t apologize. She had one of her employees call me and offered me $3. Because of the damage to the box etc, I lost over $100. Erin knew this.At this point, I don’t know if I can trust the store anymore. What happens if they do this again and the lens breaks? Obviously Erin doesn’t take any responsibility despite it being her liability when she is paid to package something. I am debating getting my attorney involved just to prove the point to the owner that she needs to care. I am going to inquire as to the costs of that matter and if it isn’t too much, I think legal action of some kind is warranted simply because if Erin isn’t held accountable right now, how many other people will be caused heartache and expense from her wreckless behavior?

2021-09-02I dropped off a package that needed to be placed in a bubble envelope... it looked like a tight fit, but the associate guaranteed me it would fit after popping a couple of the bubbles, so I paid and left. My package arrived at its destination crumpled and torn and was therefore not processed. I spoke to the manager, who told me shed look into it and call me back. Surprise, she never called back and Im out $50. Very poor customer service- Ill never return

2020-09-15I received great customer service tonight! I was frustrated and having difficulty figuring out how to print my documents when I walked into The UPS store 5 minutes before they were scheduled to close, hoping I could at least get a few of my documents printed. Shannon, went above and beyond to help me! She took the time to show me how to print the documents I needed without rushing me out the door or making me feel like an inconvenience. She was extremely patient, friendly and professional!

2021-01-27I am working about one and a half year with this UPS branch, (I am also working sometimes Gahanna,Old Westerville and Henderson Road..branches).Newark UPS is one of the best.I met almost all of the staff members , all are hardworking, kind staff and solved all my shipping problems.Thanks..Good Job...!

2020-05-29I drove an hour to ship a package. I needed a reciept to show that I mailed the package. I walked in and the representative absolutely refused to give me a reciept. I mean refused ! I said how can i prove that I sent it ? She still refused and did not care !I took my package and left. Every other UPS store I know gives you a reciept if you want it !HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !

2017-09-11The entire crew have been very good to us. We have been sending a huge amount to of packages and they are very knowledgeable and courteous.It amazes me every time I am there that they get about 20 calls for, where is my package? But, they always try to help. I would have went crazy with the calls, not these folks, they seem to actually try to service people they have no control over.Thanks all for taking care of us!
