It’s so incredibly expensive compared to other thrift stores.
Large store. Most floor space is occupied by clothing. The housewares and furniture are positioned along the walls and in the back. The clothing is mostly dated and average to below average condition. This is not really a place for trendy thrift shopping, but moreso for the person in need of a wide range of items and a lower price point. Friendly staff and convenient location.
Good selection. Prices could be a bit better, but still a good thrift store in the area.
Big store. Mainly women and childrens clothes. Some mens clothes but not a big selection. Small selection of books. Some toys and lots of glass and dinnerware. Prices are good though.

Three stars for the organization of the childrens clothes. Negative stars for the lack of organization in the adult clothes. Nothing sorted by size so you have a huge aisle to look through. Its ridiculous. I stopped even trying to find adult clothes. In addition they staple tags to clothes creating holes that destroy perfectly good donated clothing.
Most of their stuff is too expensive, i can get most of this stuff free on craigslist. Including pianos, sofas, etc. If you want a bigger selection of used clothes, id recommend going to Village Discount Outlet on Waterloo Road, now that place is the bomb.
Im rating 5 stars because of the wonderful customer service I received earlier this week at your Fairlawn location. Your employee, a gentlemen named Timothy, was incredibly friendly and outgoing. He treated everyone in the store as if they were his friends! He brightened my day and Im sure many others! Thank you!
Prices have increased to a point where this store is now for only well-to-do individuals. Ex: jeans are more expensive here than on sale at Kohls.
Prices have increased ridiculously and now the latest development is never having their donation drop off open. literally never coming here again.

Its overwhelming nothing is sorted by size cant find your size without stressing. Have nice things decent prices but its a nightmare to shop ! They would sale more and profit from sorting by size . Nice friendly people but lacks in organization!
Decent items but the customer service and customer atmosphere is despicable. These people either hate their jobs or dont like humans. Rude and incoherent staff who refuse to help anyone. Buyer beware.
Disappointed in customer service and drop off hours. Even if someone is in back and door is open they still will NOT take donations except between 11-3.
I like the selection at the Goodwill on Waterloo much better but this place was okay. Found a couple pairs of nice jeans for cheap

Some clothes were decent prices but other stuff that was name brand could be ripped up and they would want a Fortune.
It would be beneficial if more items were grouped by color. They had a large variety of clothes here.

Please change your online hours (that say you’re open until 7), if you’re only open until 6, so your staff doesn’t answer the door at 6:50 to tell me you’re closed and stare at me until I leave with my carload of donations, thanks!

I LOVE this salvation army. Prices are great!! The only thing I hate is that it needs to be sorted by size.
Almost always get some great finds. Wednesday is the biggest sale day.

2021-05-04Is this Macy’s or the Salvation Army? I usually drop in this place a couple times a week since it’s on my way home from work. This week the prices are insane. I saw a tee-shirt for $30 and a dress for $130! This stuff was donated for FREE and I can’t believe they are asking those prices! I even seen some of the stuff I donated a few days ago on the shelf and it was significantly overpriced! Oh and don’t let it have the original price tag on it - they will charge just about the same or more! Please adjust the prices - it’s crazy I can’t even afford to shop here anymore. The Salvation Army is too expensive, go figure.

2021-05-26I have a doctors appt once a month in the area and it’s a treat for me to stop in here after since I don’t live nearby. I always look forward to it. Lately I’ve noticed the prices increasing dramatically. I was at Marshall’s yesterday and the prices are the same-some even cheaper-for new stuff! I really like vintage clothing and found a cool 80s tracksuit-for $30!! Would have been 7 at the goodwill. I actually saw a jumpsuit for 35$-I saw the same one at Marshall’s yesterday for $15.00! They get the stuff for free! They are selfishly banking off the fact that thrifting is becoming trendy and ignoring the fact that these stores are made for families who can’t afford to shop elsewhere. Sad for them now that they can’t even afford used donated clothes.

2021-12-07I Love thrift stores, The Salvation Army store still keeps their prices fairly low and they are doing a 99 cent color tag all month. The associates at the montrose store are always friendly and helpful.

2021-10-06Far too expensive for used stuff! Saw an elliptical trainer exercise machine in somewhat decent condition for $600! One can get a nicer one brand new at Sams Club for the same or lower amount. Their prices are just ridiculous on stuff that was donated. Who do they think they are!?

2021-10-11The pricing is crazy!!!! 24.99 for a used pair of donated jeans. Who sets pricing for this stuff??? Wow! If you’re looking to save money then this store isn’t it. The pricing calculations absolutely need investigated

2020-08-25Not the best experience here this time. In the past we’ve donated larger furniture items in good condition and the staff was great. Not today, apparently even though staff is there and they are open, you cannot donate until after 11am, which when you work doesn’t really work out too well. It was two small boxes so I asked if i could leave them on the back counter instead of the donation bin, and i was told no. I’m not sure what difference is between leaving something in a bin at 8am vs 11am especially if you already have staff there “attending” something—er basically telling people to come back another time?

2021-04-17Very high on prices. Was looking at a wooden chest they wanted over 100 for it and it was broken with huge chunk out of it. I also was looking for a kids hoodies for my grandsons and they wanted 9 bucks if I put few more bucks in and get brand new one.

2018-09-21This is a large store. Mostly clothing resale. They have some nice used furniture. Not much housewares,toys,or craft items. This store is clean and neatly organized. It is handicap accessable and the aisles are wide enough for 2 carts to pass. Prices are reasonable and every Wednesday is Family Day when everything is 1/2 off. The location is easily accessed but also a bit remote.

2018-09-20Ok so I am an avid thrift shopper! Have been in many thrift stores but this one was terrible! Had a terrible odor when I first walked in.. yes I know it’s a thrift shop but seriously this was bad! Was looking at the clothes and many of which had stains and rips.. found a couple of cute sun dresses but when looking at the prices I couldn’t believe my eyes! $14.99 for a used dress that probably cost that much new! Thought it was a fluke so I kept looking and all of them seemed to be terribly over priced!! Definitely will not be back to this thrift shop!!
