It is one of the best strip malls around you dont have to park far from the store you want to go to. Along with the lack of people just hanging out, like at the mall nearby, thats now defunct , the ability to park near where you want to shop is a certain plus for the return of strip type shopping centers. The stores and restaurants across the street are not so bad either. I love the Home Depot.
I went to Chick-fil-A and as always theyre so sufficient and speedy with their orders. It was during lunch time and the line was back done all the way to the entrance. Within 7 minutes or so I placed my order paid and got my food the frozen lemonade is to die? I would get that definitely again.
Well the walking area was blocked you could only get to the Party Store and even though there was inventory it was thinning out. They get a 1 for not announcing that walkers were no longer welcome. Last two food court stores closed. Was a good place to walk in the winter. You still have to wear masks in the Party Central Store. We didnt notice if the stores on the exterior were closed Honey baked ham and a couple of shoe store. Was deserted.
I stopped at Michaels to buy little people for the wooden houses that you build they had nothing I dont know why they didnt learn from Pat Catans that they bought but they dont carry much of nothing I Miss Pat Catans somebody needs to start a new one with a new name Hobby Lobby is not open on Sundays
I stopped at Marcs, Howe Rd. and picked up a few pizza making items and dog treats. My dog prefers the rawhide bones at Marcs over anyones.I also checked my air in my tires at Get Go and bought gas.Everything is all in close proximity. So, it makes it nice to get everything done in one trip.Theres rumors that Bath and Body Works will be going into the vacant Pier One Store. I cant wait for that!
This plaza has a great opportunity to attract a wide range of customers with the addition of a few retail stores: add a Trader Joes, Dave and Busters, Bravo, HomeGoods, Cheesecake Factory, Chilis, Mangianos, Steinmart, any of these (or other) would add foot traffic to Giant Eagle, Marcs, TJMaxx and Skechers. Trader Joes would be my #1 suggestion since the closest Trader Joes is in the Beachwood area. It is a proven fact that property values increase by 5-10% within a 15 mile radius of a Trader Joes. The accessibility of this strip mall is SO MUCH more convenient than the Summit Mall area and parking is plentiful. If the mayors of Akron, Cuyahoga Falls and Tallmadge would actually DO SOMETHING to promote a better retail experience then this strip mall would thrive. If nothing is done, then it will become another disaster like Rolling Acres.
Ollies have great bargains but the store is very dusty. Burlington store just looks like its going out of business, and the sections keeps getting smaller. Marcs always has long lines and not enough cashiers. Ross is great they just need more cashiers. Dollar Tree is great but, they need more cashiers the lines are always long. TJ Maxx have great bargains and t h e store is clean. Citi trends have great bargains but they dont have a big selection.
Shopping can be fun at Plaza at Chappelle Hill. The business has gone down and the mall is now closed. It used to be a great mall years ago. 😞 Now... Not so much. I wonder why???There are a several other good restaurants, stores and strip malls nearby. Hopefully, someone will put something good at the Malls location.
I have been coming to this mall since I was a kid. Always had a good time and have never had any issues. Its sad to see how many stores have left and how deserted it seems compared to ten-fifteen years ago. Still good shopping and food in the area, and with the decrease in traffic its made it more of a quick trip.
This place has something for pretty much about anyone. Plenty of shops and places to eat, even game stores. New stores just opened not that long ago and many have closed so lots of chances for different opportunities. Id definitely recommend looking into a visit if your in the neighborhood for either a pass by or anything.
Still putting out delicious food. A little bit pricey I wish they had deals like Applebees... Appetizer, meal, dessert. No other place can touch their tiramisu!! Dont leave without at least a piece to go home you wont regret it. Ive honestly never had a bad meal here and really enjoy the noon alcoholic drinks they have to choose from. Save up and splurge on this outing 😊
This area has somehow survived the plague among shopping centers. All of the basic things youd expect are there (Target, groceries, home improvement, pet store, shoe and clothing stores, fast food). The physical condition of things seems to be going down. Avoid this area of youre in a rush because theres super gnarly construction going on and its near impossible to get around.
Service was good. But the kitchen messed up more than once in our order. Didnt mind too much because of an allergy. But for the manager not to do anything other than come to the table to tell us that itll be out soon bothered both of us. My friend was done eating her undercooked steak before mine even made it to the table. Again nothing was done or said by management.
El Papas Mexican Restaurant. This is not another Mariachis. Just about everything Ive had here has been very tasty. The service is very fast and the food comes out in minutes. Like all Mexican restaurants, the tacos do not have any seasoning, so save some salsa and kick it up with some hot sauce to top your tacos. Its not El Canelos or Two Amigos, but theyre both gone.
The portions were smaller even the salad wasnt even half a bowl ,my husband asked for extra sauce so he can eat it easily and it wasnt anything extra, the one closer to our home in cranberry twp .Pa is best!! they have huge portions salads over flowing the bowl ,we wont be back here, you dont get your moneys worth ,very disappointed
Needed things for baking brownies so I knew right where to go - Mr. Bulkys! This is the greatest store! Any time I need chocolate discs for candy making or special, fun candy for a gift, thats where we head. So glad this store is close by! I tell other people about it and they all wish they had one near them.😊 Keep up the good work!
Gave it half stars cause i feel like the mall feels like it is going to be the next rolling acres. Half of the stores seem to be closing down or have closed down. The thing i do like about it is that it has a champs sporting goods store. Other then that you are not missing out on much unless you are in the market for fake gold watches there are many available of that is your style. I do believe that they have a place for children to play and a decent food court. It is a decent mall if you need some going out in the day active wear. They dont have anything anything too nice
The mall is dying/dead. The plaza lives on. Tons of traffic, slow lights, confusing entrances and exits. That said, it is busy, in the right place, and has every conceivable type of retail establishment and tons of dining options. It is an example of an American mega plaza. Fairly typical. Nothing special, nothing specifically wrong. Lots of stores
This time of year ( Christmas shopping season ) is typically unpleasant near shopping centers due to the zombies. I feel bad for the workers at the various shops, but they remain friendly and efficient. Was able to get what I was going after and get out without incident ( because I was paying attention and not allowing the zombies to crash into me ).
Went to Olive Garden had to wait 30 min to eat but the waitress service was so good we forgot about that. The food was a little over cooked but still tasty. Had the Trio Lasagna, chicken parmigiana and Alfredo noodles and stuffed mushrooms we got full off the breadstiks and salad. Overall we were pleased.
Wow, The Plaza is really coming back to life in 2020. There are quite a few new stores and restaurants and the parking lots are full of cars. There is now a Citi Trends, a Ross Stores, a new Dollar General and quite a few more businesses along with a new, very good Mexican restaurant. Quite a nice variety of places to shop, eat and enjoy.
Many stores and restaurants in this plaza such as Olive Garden, Chik Fil A, Applebees, McDonalds, Wendys, TJ Maxx, Ross, Dicks, Burlington, Clothes Mentor, Platos Closet, Giant Eagle, Mr. Bulkys, Marcs, Ollies etc. The parking lot is well maintained and has a lot of spaces.
As somebody who has lived in the area my whole life I frequented this mall when it was nice and I was a child. Over the years I have watched it go further and further downhill. Now, all the stores are leaving and its becoming rather empty. Crime here is hideous. Its not uncommon to see fights, hear about people being stabbed or attacked, and theft is a problem. I remember helping a friend go here to return a shirt and a few hours later a man was stabbed in the neck in the very same doors we used to get into the mall. Its a shame, but this place is rather terrible now. Dont go alone. Dont bring young kids. Basically, stay out unless youre interested in being mugged.
We went in at approximately 330. Parking lot had some cars but no crowded. Lady (middle age,?) At first barely asked then finally asked how many. We said 2 (there was only us and 2 people sitting in the corner). She shuffled papers, said something on her phone set up and nothing. Approximately 5 minutes goes by and an older lady comes and goes. Then the older lady asked how many we say 2 and the other lady who barely acknowledged us just left! The older lady says that they are cleaning tables it will be a few minutes. REALLY! NO ONE REALLY IN THE RESTAURANT/BAR AND WE CANT BE SEATED? WE LEFT. IF SERVICE TO GET SEATED WAS BAD JUST THINK HOW BAD TO GET FOOD.
I miss the old cars that used to be in front of McDonalds. If I hit the Lotto, thats one of the things that Im bringing back, plus the outdoor kids play area. Everyone should have something to be nostalgic about - we do. Thanks to all of the small business owners who have tried to keep this area going through the years.
There is a great variety of stotes in Chapel Hill Plaza. Seriously just about anything you want you can find in this plaza. Shoot this is the only location of Play It Again Sports that is around!! Also the old Toys R Us is being reopened as an Ollies Bargain Store!! Sadly Thats waaayyy more than you can say about the mall anymore...
Sadly this is doing more sucessful than the mall itself if you dont find what youre looking for inside the mall itself you will most likely find it here theres resturants fast food and seni fancy and grocery shopping both Marcs and Giant Eagle theres a Gamestop to buy games and funko figures from
Mr. Bulky is the best little candy store around! They have whole aisles of gummy candies, jelly belly jelly beans, chocolates, sugar free stuff. Nuts, dried fruit & vegetables, pretzels, pop corn and spices, baking supplies and candy making supplies including melting chocolate, hard candy flavoring, candy molds, boxes & bags. There is something for everyone there.
Its a bit sketchy to walk from Pier One down to TJMaxx... And most of the businesses in this plaza are of no interest to me. Big vacancies there. Marcs is hideous inside but they have good prices on groceries. Giant Eagle looks better but its over priced. I really only go to this plaza primarily for TJMaxx or occasionally for Dicks Sporting Goods.
I like shopping here, they have a TJMax, Sketchers, Burlington, Pier 1 Imports stores and many more stores across the street. Restaurants includes Chic fil a, Wendys, burger king and Olive Garden again many more eateries. New store is an Ollies ans coming soon is a Ross which Ill be happy to see as I love this store. For those not familiar with Ross its like a TJMax and Marshall but even cheaper.
Not that many good stores in the plaza, trash always flying around in the parking lot and have had bad experience with the cop/security. I locked my keys in my car when I ran in g.e. to get formula for my infant son at the time, was in the middle of the night, cold, and my car is running in the parking lot with my keys locked Inside, Im standing outside of it with a bag of formula cans and I notice the cop walking in the store, I jogged up to him and told him my dilemma and asked to use his phone to call my wife , oh, my phone was also locked inside the car, to let her know what was going on , so that she wasnt standing around waiting for the formula with a crying baby wondering where I was. The cop said no, officer Davis of the cfpd, was the overnight security that night, I went up to the customer service desk inside, she said no I couldnt use the phone, so I had to walk to eat n park n offer them 20$ to use their phone. They let me for free! :)
They got a lot of great stories in the plaza Burlingtons Platos Closet Mentor I forgot the first name of that but Mentor DD are used clothes stores but they are really good in good shape really nice items and shoes you can buy almost brand new then they got the grocery store and get some meat if you forgot to take something out to cook for dinner that evening marks grocery store and then they just got a lot of little places you can stop and eat Central issue with reasonable prices the Brazos a place to go if youre looking for anything
What to expect; a deteriorating plague where rampid unattended children would just assume slit your throat rather than let you shop in peace. It is only a matter of time until Chapel Hill turns into the next Rolling Acres (wish it would happen sooner rather than later...
I grew up in this neighborhood and the plaza has been a big part of life in North Hill. Weather youre looking for fast eats, family restaurants, quick 1 stop shopping or specialty stores, its all there at the Plaza at Chapel Hill. Now if youd just get an ULTA in there 🤔☺😁
Many stores have left and are empty. I hope they are filled soon. Giant Eagle, Gamestop, TJMaxx, Target, Best Buy, Burlington, Pat Catans, Michaels, Toys R Us, 5 Below, Big Lots, Home Depot, Mr. Bulky, Staples, Sallys Beauty supply, quest diagnostics and more, plus many food places are in the Plaza. Chapel Hill Mall is right around the corner, along with Walgreens, Aldis and the Midway Plaza.

2022-02-05I come for the Fish Crows, a bird that should not be in Ohio based on range. They are smaller than the American Crows that are also present, and they make a nasally cah-ah sound. They are here from roughly November to April and are so much fun to watch and hear. They hang out around the restaurants, especially Chic-fil-A.

2022-07-20Went to USPS sub station, pick up large envelope that mail route person didnt leave. Saw a email when it would be coming. I was home door curtain pulled. Left brown sticker. I kept going back and forth to kitchen and front door. I was home. At station only one clerk everyone coming in practiced social distancing.Clerlk attentive to at least two customers at a time.

2022-06-08Happy for the shops that have remained in the Cuyahoga Falls area. Losing Chapel Hill Mall was tragic.

2021-10-30Nice selection of stores in this plaza. I like that Bath and Body Works is located here now, great addition. I can always find some where to go here when Im on this side of town. The candy store is an added plus as well. Be nice to have more stores but in these times how can you complain. I will definitely return as I always do.

2022-04-27Considering that the mall is dead, the restaurants around it are all open and the shops in the plaza are not too crowded.
