Went into the store yesterday to just look at the counters for my kitchen and Doug helped me make my final decision for what I wanted to do with my kitchen clear down to what sink I wanted to go with. We were in a hurry but he was even going to show me where the special order counter tops were. Very friendly and helpful!
Usually I have no trouble there. Today was different. Last month, I took a locked up power tool to be repaired during the warranty. Picked it up today and it was bent beyond repair. The repair order called it bent. It was not bent when I left it @ Home Depot on 8-2. Amazon sells the same thing for about the same price.
I had just purchased a string trimmer and a chainsaw when after unboxing them, I changed my mind about the saw because it wasnt the one I had went to purchase in the first place. It was the same size but cost more money and the reviews were not that great.I called customer service and ask about returning it and purchasing another saw with much better reviews. The lady at the service desk was VERY RUDE! After I asked a couple questions she said just bring it in with an attitude that said I dont have time for you!So after very little thought I took both items back and returned them! The only reason I gave two stars is because not all employees are the same however when I spoke to the manager, it took quite a while for the call to be transferred. Im sure the rude lady had to throw in a few extra comments about me before actually transferring my call because the manager also had a defensive attitude.Even though this store is closer if I shop at Home Depot it will be at another store!!
Almost always a one-stop shop for your construction needs. Very seldomly do I have to go anywhere else to buy material for a job. Good customer service, fairly fast check out lines, and plenty of things to help keep you busy whether youre a do-it-yourselfer or a big company.
Update... the store manager was super nice and helped us take care of the situation and allowed us to return the item. Apparently he wasn’t aware of this policy. We returned two light switches that were purchased online and opted for store credit vs a refund because we used PayPal for the purchase. The store credit totaled $20. We purchased $400 worth of merchandise. We attempted to return an item that did not work for us today and we’re treated like criminals. We were denied the return and told to call a number on the back of the receipt. The employee was super rude and wouldn’t even explain why. We called the retail equation department and was treated like a criminal yet again. Because we used $20 worth of store credit (for an item we had a receipt for) we cannot return anything on that receipt and we’re told we can submit an appeal and maybe in 4 to 6 weeks we can get our money back. We have been loyal HomeDepot customers for years and have used them for several custom jobs. If they don’t make this right they will lose a loyal customer for good. I have never felt less appreciated as a consumer than I did today. Shame on you home depot. If you don’t want customers using store credit then you should make them aware of this policy. I wouldn’t not have opted for store credit if I knew this would be an issue.
I dont usually frequent Home Depot, but decided to repaint a few rooms recently. I have zero knowledge about paint. I went in with my expectations low, but to my delight the staff was very knowledged in what my needs would require. The girl, Gabby, helped me out with what type of paint, the color, and even the kind of brushes and tape I would need. Ill be back in the future for any of my paint needs.
Its Home Depot.....I actually like the online shopping much better than their brick n mortar stores. The only issue Ive had with online shopping is that 5 gallon bucket of wood preservative sitting in Columbus for the last 6 months (no joke). It updates the arrival date but it never comes. Just dont buy large things and youll be fine.
I had looked high and low for a four tower fan for my daughter and the only one in stock was at this store...35-40 minutes away....well when i got there i asked the young lady at the door where the fan were she didn’t know herself but she quickly got a whole team assembled to find this one fan for me. They didn’t send me away and say we are out...they didn’t give up. It took 30 minutes but they found it for me and even went as far to go back and find the remote instead of writing it off as a discount!! Long story short the team at this home depot are AMAZING!!!! and I don’t write reviews!
I waited 25 minutes and ask 3 different employees to cut a board into 2 pieces. Then I mentioned my experience to the cashier who says well it takes time to make a good cut. No it takes 1 qualified person about 30 seconds to make a measurement and cut! Train your employees to operate your machinery!!
My husband and I went to Home Depot in north Zanesville to checkout the lumber selection as Lowes has been out of most things we wanted. Mark was working in lumber and was more than happy to help us with what we needed, suggesting ideas as they were short on lumber choices too, and even offering to get what we needed and cut it while we finished our shopping. This kiddo was great! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great attitude. Impressive.
I love home depot the employees are very friendly and helpful I can go in the store and I can be in there for a long time just looking around and I can find all kinds of things that I can get to do to my house and even crafts to make my daughter will not go with me because she doesnt like this type of store I dont go to Lowes for 1 their employees are not very friendly at all and a personal experience that I had ....
WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS HERE AGAIN! My husband and I purchased a dryer that was supposed to be delivered 10 days later. Said someone would call day before to confirm and the day of arrival. NO CALL. So I call them at 6:30 pm. I was told to wait because they call at 7. NO CALL. The morning it was to be delivered, NO CALL. AFTER WASTING 6 HOURS OF MY WEEKEND TRYING TO FIND MY DRYER TO BE GIVEN DIFFERENT NUMBERS TO CALL TO HAVE MY CALL DROPPED SEVERAL TIMES I FIND IT WAS DAMAGED THE DAY BEFORE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE DELIVERED. Said they would have to reorder and couldnt give me a delivery date. We had been without a dryer for 5 months, covid happened, and because of having to hang our clothes up to dry in the basement, we had mold growing on our walls. Understandably upset, I emailed a higher up in the company, Marc Brown, for him to pass my complaint onto someone who did not even read my email, sent me an email calling me a valued customer and telling me I would hear back within 24 hours. It took me a few days to reply, as I do have a life regardless of what home depot thinks, and a week later, no reply. YEAH. HOME DEPOT REALLY VALUES THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!
Didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman decked out in Baltimore Ravens gear today needs a raise. Have been having a bad experience with damaged stuff on my online orders and he took the time to make me feel better about it today. Put a “handle with care” on my new order and was patient with me being aggravated at the situation. I was ready to never step foot in a Home Depot again and he changed my mind
I tried to deliver to this store from their DC...I was greeted by a crazy person...I thought they where joking at first but then thought they were on drugs...home depot has serious issues with information and customer service. People seem to be very confused or confrontational at times...theres a great deal of not knowing what to do or who to ask... Ive had to walk people through decision making processes to get them to contact the correct personal to be involved....theres a server lack of leadership within this corporation...lowes is much better to deal with... people are well trained and want to find out and learn instead of just complain and just give up...
They had treated deck boards in stock! I have shopped here since they opened. Even the 30 mile drive is worth it. I dont need to say what all they have and dont have, but I have never had an issue with the staff being helpful. Not every visit is perfect, and sometimes things happen, but the overwhelmingly positive experiences outweigh any small hiccups I have had there.
Woke up Easter morning to a house without hot water..heating element in tank was fryed..and a house full of people wanting to shower and get ready for church...Home Dedot was the only store open..with one of the heating element as a visual aid and a lot of questions a young employee named Tyler.. ( normaly i hunt down an old guy. Because theyre a bit more knowledgeable. .)But this fellow had all the information I needed ..
We had great customer service in the carpet department. We bought a remnant it was pre rolled 12 x 5. So, it would fit in our SUV. We were going to unroll it and fold in in half. The gentleman that was in the department offered to re-roll it the short way! We took him up on it. While we went to find landscaping stakes to hold the carpet down. We were buying it to keep mud out of the house. Again, in the Garden department the young lady there quickly took us to exactly what we needed and we were on our way! We never get this kind of service at Lowes! Usually when we asked for help there someone points us in the general direction and leaves us to our own accord! It was very nice to see employees that cared enough to take you to what you were looking for! Thank you for giving me the best customer service!! It was greatly appreciated!!!
Home Depot worker were great. I got exactly what I wanted at a good price. It was just a little tricky to get to the parking lot if you dont know where to go. It was not all that complicated. I also saw a worker carrying items to their car because they were seniors and needed help. Good place to shop.
Of the things that I was there for they were poorly stocked. Lots of stuff, just not the stuff I needed. What they did have in stock was pretty typical for this kind of store. So, reliably Home Depot - some people helpful, some people not so much. Lots of stuff, the stuff you need... maybe. Store was clean.
They placed 2 orders for me about a week apart from each other. Then they cancelled both of those orders one week afterwards stating the items were not longer available. They offered no resolution and didnt even speak to me regarding the issues, they just left voicemails, cancelled the orders and refunded my card. I ended up calling corporate and ordering one item directly from them because it was in fact still available and they shipped it directly to my house. I went to Lowes for the other item and had a much better experience.
Rushed us along as we were trying to load our vehicle with plywood. And as we were picking out what size sheets we needed, it was suggest to us that we were getting the wrong size since 2 women were picking out what they needed. We knew what we needed. Didnt need a man to tell us since he had no idea what our project was.
If you have a lumber need, and your a novice like me, go find Mike Prater at Home Depot. Great customer service, very knowledgeable, explains what he’s doing and why, and gets the job done quick and with a smile on his face. Much different than the competitor next-door.
I went to the home depot yesterday to buy wood. I can not lift the 4x4 posts that I needed because I am 76 and Ive had 5 surgeries. A young man named Jesse offered to get it all for me. He waited with me at the register and then he took it all to my truck and loaded it for me. The whole time we talked about life. If you need help or just want to bend someones ear, he is your guy.
We went to our Zanesville Home Depot yesterday to buy a new washing machine. Not only did our appliance sales lady Tina, answer knowledgeable, every question I threw at her, she pointed out what she thought I could deal and live with. This is not the only time I have been pleased here, and customer is far and above top rate. Keep up the great work! Ill always shop here. Lee and Sue L.
Customer ordered $700 worth of lumber was charged $80 for delivery...customer had surgery Thursday n has 28 staples in arm n cant use arm at all told delivery driver to put lumber in garage n delivery driver said ok then put it on driveway n hurried n left...wont be shopping here anymore!
I had a nightmare return today. It involved returning something that was gotten at another Home Depot. I was assured this would be quite easy, but apparently when I had returned part of the order to the original store someone checked off that at all had been returned. It ruined the timing on a day when I had an awful lot to do. So it was really no fault of the people in the Zanesville Home Depot I dont think. Its just something wrong in the system or it was plain old human error. Again it was just an evening when I needed the time badly for something else
Went to buy new range, found what we wanted, they ask for zip said oh we wont deliver there... They would if it was next door different zip.. Not to far for us to shop there but wont deliver to us wont step for in there again. Left the rest of basket of stuff and heading to Lowes they have no problem
Super helpful! Shopping for a Traeger Grill and had a good experience talking with a young man who answered every question. Several models of Traeger Grills, accessories and pellets in stock. Asked about any deals by opening a credit card account and even got a $100 coupon for any purchase over $1000. Purchased a Traeger Pro 780 Pellet Grill with a Home Depot credit card and received 18 months 0%! Couldnt pass up that deal! They even loaded up the grill for me! Best experience ever from top to bottom with a home improvement store! If youre looking to pull the trigger on a Traeger Grill, go to Home Depot!
I went to Lowes in Zanesville first and was there for an hour and a half and never had 1 associate even ask us if we needed help and when we went to home Depot in Zanesville Ohio the salesman Lee was there to help us within minutes and had other customers behind us but made sure we were taken care of and happy with our new refrigerator and answered all our questions before he took his next customer I am very pleased with our experience and his help was greatly appreciated.
I stopped in with a broken drain for my sink. Rudy waited on me, meanwhile, I was thinking I needed to replace the whole thing, Rudy took the old part and went and cleaned it up even though it was disgusting and showed me that ONLY one part of it was broken, I did not need to replace the whole thing. I would just like to say that its hard to find this kind of help in todays world and we need more of it!!! THANK YOU very much Rudy!!!!

2022-03-29I would give zero stars if I could. I spent almost two hours on the phone last night trying to get an issue resolved, I was transferred five times. I understand some of the fault is on the logistics company, however I have never had such horrible customer service. When you call with an issue there should be someone to resolve that issue for you. I was told my vanity was lost, and ordered a new one. I came home one day and there was the “lost” one in my driveway, that turned out to be damaged, along with ruts in between my and my neighbors driveway.

2022-04-28This particular experience was at the Home Depot in Zanesville north of interstate 70. The trip was fine until checkout. I requested my military discount which I have never had a problem getting in any home Depot store and I had a $300 microwave I loaded up and was told my the manager that the associate at the register called for that if my military discount doesnt automatically take anything off then I just dont get it. No trying to work with me to process it. I left the microwave on the counter and will be using Lowes from now on.

2022-05-12Really nice people to help us. But the down fall is we have to order stuff and wait til it gets delivered cuz didnt have stuff in stocks. We got hit hard with that storm and cant get things fixed cause of it. No heat and can only plug in one outlet at a time because our breaker box burnt up and cant get laundry done and food spoiled

2022-03-03If you sign up for the credit card, all I can say is good luck. All around terrible experience. Lied to about the interest free period, the delivery people tried everything they could to get out of bringing the items, the phone reps couldnt be less helpful, payment nightmares. Just go to Lowes.
