Great if you know what you want and where to find it. If you have to rely on the staff for assistance, be prepared to wait and receive only remedial assistance. This is a typical big box home improvement store where the weekend warrior and pro alike can get what they need to do ish the job.
I love this store I gave one star because of the end ...I went to self checkout with my daughter and granddaughters this guy ( born guy) didnt trust my daughter so he comes over does the checkout as we are leaving my youngest granddaughter said she said bye I said no honey thats a guy with long hair like Willie Nelson the guy ( that wants to identify as female ) says no shes right im a girl .... now Im bombarded with questions as to why she has a full beard long hair dressed as a boy yet says shes a girl ....listen folks I dont care how you want to live but I refuse to have to answer life questions and boy girl differences in Home Depot its not right I went to get gutterguards for Gods Sake .... im so upset he or she should of just said bye 👋 and let it rest .... now I have 2 very confused girls now !!!
Love this store. Veteran parking! And many thanks to the guys in lumber who help me with cutting larger pieces down to something I can fit in my suv. Edit: Really enjoying being able to reserve certain tools for rental. No more rushing in as soon as they open in the morning.
Spent a good amount of money on upgrading my new home. Very disappointing on the level of service I have received on my hard surface installation. Purchased over 3 months ago and still not installed due to lack of communication on there end. Paid in full 3 months ago and zero communication or concen on their part. Will definitely seek other departments stores moving forward unfortunately.
Girlfriend was there today to pick up a snowblower that they said they had in stock.Asked a kid for help that worked there , said he had to get someone that could use a forklift to get one off a top shelf, huge box. So after 35 mins waiting he never came back so she left.We will spend our money at lowes now after that ! Horrible customer service never again! Avoid this location dont waste your time or your hard earned money here!
I means its Home Depot. If youre reading this review, you should just go and experience the surprisingly average experience of a hardware store that is Home Depot for yourself. Literally almost no difference between it and its major competitors Lowes in my mind. Shop local if you can.
Its very hard to buy power tools here. Order them online for pickup or prepare for a long challenging quest to get someone to unlock the boxes. 4 outa the last 5 trips I have left empty handed after showing up to buy dewalt cordless power tools and giving with no assistance and locked up cages.
The local Home Depots did not have the item I wished to purchase in stock, so I ordered online from a location 40 minutes away, with the idea to save time. I received a courtesy call within an hour that my order was ready for pick up. When I arrived at customer service, a pleasant young woman named Grace did a great job helping me. She could not get ahold of anyone to fetch my order which she determined was on a cart in an aisle. While she tried, I looked around the customer service area and noticed my item could easily have been ready right there. Finally the manager showed up on other business, so Grace asked if she could go get my order herself. The order was way in the back at the opposite end of the store from customer service. She retrieved the cart, and a minute later, I was out the door. I gave 4 stars only because it shouldnt have taken 15 minutes to pick up an order that could have been sitting in customer service. However, Grace gets 5 stars.
Friendly, helpful staff....was quite pleased when I was attempting to locate an item, an employee took notice and came up introduced himself and asked if he could be of assistance...never really had someone approach me to ask if I needed help....was a great (quick) experience. The store itself was very clean to boot....
My husband and I were on the Home Depot website to purchase a Worx brand weed trimmer. It was available for purchase and could be delivered as soon as the day after tomorrow. We wanted to look at a display model before completing the order. A male clerk in the store told him they dont sell that brand because it is the Lowes store brand. I am including a photo from the Home Depot website showing that they do in fact sell this item. We dont expect employees to memorize every single item, however dont guess or make stuff up. That shows ignorance and laziness. Lacking work ethic. Lost our business. Even though it costs a little higher at a competitor, we will spend our dollars elsewhere.
Havent been for awhile due to covid but went yesterday. Great experience cashier was more than polite and courteous. We were impressed as well with how they honor military veterans with preferred parking as well as a discount with military I.D. saved me a few dollars. We will return to this location in Wadsworth.
Jim helped me find a specific o-ring for my lawn mower gas cap! He was the 5th person I had to ask. He worked with me and actually listened to what I needed.The two people, an older guy and younger woman, in lawn care didnt even take the time to understand what I was looking for and brushed me off with a quick oh no we wouldnt have that.Woohoo 🎉
This is another one of your typical home depots. but some of the employees inside are absolutely phenomenal with helping you find something. there is a guy in the hardware department that always knows exactly how to help me find what I need for the current project Im doing. They have a decent little garden section its well kept they have a nice selection of plants for the size that it is. its definitely clean inside like all the other ones that I go to. I definitely had a bad time one day when I took my Penske rental there and locked my keys in the truck while it was running. The staff that worked with me was absolutely great about it nobody was angry but eventually the police had to come and open it for them. they helped me out with not charging me over for what I had done cuz it was an honest mistake and I greatly thank them for that.
Victoria at Customer Service is the rudest person I have ever met! Her attitude made us want to leave over $900 worth of stuff in our cart and walk out. She is an extremely difficult person with a huge lack of people skills! She’s the reason we won’t be back to the Wadsworth location ever again!!
Rent at your own risk. After renting 6-7 times from here over the last year I can confidently advise you to avoid this tool rental department. They do not service or maintain the equipment. Service tech with the glasses is extremely rude, should not represent the brand.
I would give negative stars if possible. I purchased french doors from home depot of wadsworth a year or two ago. Home Depot’s subcontracted company installed them. Not even a few months later there was a major leak and it was basically raining in my house. When i called homedepot to say they needed to send someone out ASAP I was told it would be 3 days later until someone would call me. (This was over a weekend) I spoke to various different people and got very upset before finally someone said theyd get in contact with their install company . They came out snd “fixed” the doors. Fast forward until a month ago or so. Im replacing the carpet and tile in that room. When its torn up for the tile it is noticed the doors have had a slow leak this entire time. So i contact home depot, again am told itll be three days before i hear from installer company. Tile and carpet are scheduled to go down. Tile is placed that day, told them carpet is scheduled may 18. Install company calls and leaves voicemails while im at work, each time i call back I cannot get through to who i need to speak with and itll be at least another 3 days before someone will call me back. Needless to say i had someone else come fix the door. Home depot might be a decent company for odds and ends ( I Did say MIGHT) but i wouldnt waste my money having them install anything, theyll do a sh*t job and youll never get through to someone so youll give up and pay someone else yo fix their mistakes.
Went to get mulch. A young lady working in outdoors helped me load 25 heavy bags of mulch. The guys who sat outside where I was getting loaded up wouldnt even get up to help her. I am going to report this girl to her manager for being a special employee and she deserves to be an employee of the month. She was awesome even though I told her I could load it. She is a great employee for her store
Bought 4 idems from this home depot because of their customer service and their products. I will never buy as much as a screw from any home depot ever again. Over 5000 in appliances and because of covid they wouldnt hook up but paid for it to be done. 2 appliances are not even working. I just bought these appliances not even a yr ago. Go to Lowes dont shop at home depot people.
Always has what I need. And more notably, Home Depot will never not have the friendliest staff of just about any business. Its amazing, the inventory they keep in their head of all that they have in stock, and how friendly they are to customers. I dont know how theyre trained here, but it keeps me coming back to them with my business every time, even if I can get the same items cheaper at other home stores.
Once again, my experience reminded my why I avoid Home Depot.I asked for help after looking by myself.An employee walked by and asked if we needed help. I asked if he was the person they called to help me. He said no and called again. Next, another employee walked by and I asked for help. He said hed get someone. 15+ minutes of this and I walked out. This has happened to often so Ill just shop elsewhere all the time!
We shop at the Wadsworth ,Ohio location and we were looking for a kitchen backsplash. Ryan whom worked there was so helpful. He went out of his way to explain what we need to do to install the backslash. Home Depot you should be proud to have a employee whom cares about the customers.Thank you Ryan!Todd and Sherri Jenkins
I have been using the curbside pick up service the past few months. Although Im not a bigtime user, I do need home repair items from time to time, and I also need to protect my health. The curbside pick up works very well for me. Today, for instance, I ordered one small item early this morning, and it was ready for pickup around 8 am. Love this service!
Shelves are running very empty. They havint had a reasonable selection of deckmate screws or lumber in months. Lost my shed of all things after I was notified it was available for pickup. It took hours of my ti.e waiting around for them to find it 🤔 I dont suggest this location for anything but a last resort.
Be careful renting at the Wadsworth home depot. We rented a 50 aerial lift that leaked hydraulic oil the whole time we had it. Went out of our way to buy and put the oil in the lift to keep it functioning. They told us they would make it right and not charge us for the whole time we had it due to time lost. Instead they charged us over and told us they couldnt do anything because the contract was closed
I spend all that time in the store setting up rewards account just to go back in the following week to find out if they cant find the account and want to set it up again and waste another 5 hours of my time so yeah I had a lovely experience with Home Depot today they should be very proud of their staff LOL
I used to love home Depot but I can just never find anything there anymore without asking for help. Storage is not intuitive. Aisles are narrow and disorganized. I do like their selection of wood. They dont have a great selection of smart home products or at least I couldnt find them if they do. They do have a great tool rental service that Ive used multiple times.
This was my first time shopping at this location, it will not be my last. Akron is about the same distance as wadsworth for me. The past, i always went to akron. I found tonite there is a vast difference, wadsworth impressed me (never in my life could i imagine writing this review- but this store i want to let all know job well done!) I have severe anxiety shopping is never pleasant for me- quite the opposite here! amazing customer service- polite & friendly, clean orderly store, products in stock & bargians easy to see & get to... Im a loyal customer who will go out of my way, if need be, rather any other home depo. Thank you whoever took the time to read this- have a great day :)
Dont expect to get competent help in the kitchen department. We were never greeted, when we finally hunted a person down he was full of attitude. I had some simple questions about a purchase I wanted to make but the attitude that exuded from this individual was uncalled for, I will never go back!
Shout out to Michael in the paint department! My husband was in to get paint to cover my daughters sunflower yellow room to lady pink! This man not only gave us the best paint but also gave tips and a demonstration on how this paint would cover in 1 coat! And Ill be damned it did! You saved us a day of work in an already hell of a situation! Thank you, and you are greatly appreciated!
Bad management and bad service. They do not keep appointments and promises. My father bought a refrigerator and asked them to give us more time. They said okay but when we went to take it. They said that they only sold it this morning and they did not accept to give us an alternative.
Sabastian at the Wadsworth store was so helpful, polite and knew the store ,there was shelving in an odd place and he knew right where to take me. He was kind and sweet and I think she should get a little bit of those medals that you handout. I know because I worked for your company. Thumbs up for sebastian.
Wanted to take a few minutes and compliment one of your employees. My wife and i were looking for a table and chairs for our deck. Bill approached us immediately. Asked if there was anything he could help us with. We were interested in a table set and it was the last one. And because it was the display i asked if it could be discounted at all. He gave us 50.00 off. He then went above and beyond carrying all items to the exit for us. Helped load everything and even brought me cardboard to put between things to keep it from scratching my vehicle as well as against each other as well. He was extremely helpful, friendly and and outgoing. We couldnt of been happier withhthis purchase and it was even a bigger pleasure when someone is as outgoing as he was. Thankyou for everything Bill! Great coustomer service! Keep up the good work!
A little awkward setup, especially if youre handicapped. They dont social distance. If you park where the handicapped section is, you have to go all the way down to the contractors area to check out, where everyone is in a big group, and walk all the way back to the other side. They have only 1 handicapped space on the contractors side. Like the people that work there, just wish the old setup would come back.
Most of the customer service is ok. Just dont be there at close or youll get talked down to by the register workers. I was stuck there 10 minutes past because i hasnt realized the hours are shorter. Ive never been there at close before but the attitude really turned my opinion of the staff and possible upper management issues.
This store was clean & well organized. The staff I saw were all occupied with customers or stocking shelves & loading orders. I asked 1 to help me locate what I was looking for. They did not have what I went for but I did look over some other items I may buy in the near future.
People who worked here seemed real reluctant to help us. Both of us are disabled and I felt like every time we needed to talk to someone we were treated like we had a contagious disease. So we just found stuff on our own. Lastly my partner had gotten a home Depot card a couple of months ago and asked a really not so nice person at customer service, I use the term customer service lightly if she could get her free gift since she didnt get it when she opened her account. The lady said and I quoteyou got your$25 off didnt you well there you go. She said you get one or the other I said are you sure and she said YES!!! We took our stuff and checked out. What a shame, oh well no body from home Depot will care anyways. Thanks
My dad bought a massive snow blower from Home Depot in Brunswick but when I got it to his home in Wadsworth, it was too heavy for us to get out of my SUV. I called Home Depot in Wadsworth to see about doing a delivery to our home if I took it to them. Instead, amazing manager Sarah sent two team members, Brian and Donzelle who came to our rescue. They went out of their way to come to our home to help us and didn’t even charge for the quick visit. Home Depot to the rescue! Personal service and out-of-the-box solutions are rare these days, but the team at the Wadsworth Home Depot knocked it out of the park. We are very grateful. Thank you!!
Ill give it 2 stars because its home depot, thats saying enough. The works were less then helpful. Esp the guy working in the rental dept. But Im sure saying a name wont matter. Thank God Im a contractor and dont need assistant from people with zero knowledge. When you rent a machine and ask what quantity of sand paper you need based on sqft. You should have a ball park. I discourage anyone from using these big box stores unless its youre only option. Shop local. Shop small. Keep the money in your town and let these fools go flip burgers... chances are they wont be able to get the cheese on it though correctly.
Always a great place to find what you need when you need it when it comes to household supplies or replacement parts and items. Good staff with great service, always have the answers and help I need when I go. Reliable and dependable place to buy from, I recommend going there.
Just ran into the Home Depot to find one of those new LED light bulbs that have the blue hue come from it. The really hard to find they used to be called daylight bulbs. They used the blue light instead of the yellow which makes it look old and dreary in a house. Of course they didnt have them and the ones that they did have werent the size I need. So which means Im probably going to have to go to Lowes and take a look.
I was in an aisle trying to read instructions on products to figure out if it was what I wanted and meanwhile a very loud forklift is being used in the next aisle. I tried to ignore it and keep reading but that terrible loud beeping noise! Then I had two different men come in the aisle and try to see if I needed help. Turned both away because I simply wanted to read the instructions. Then a third man comes in and asks if I need help. No, I just want to read the products... He then asks if I could leave the aisle because they wanted to take palettes down from up above and it would only take a few minutes. I leave dumbfounded as he closes a gate so no one can enter the aisle again. I have never been asked to leave an aisle like that before. I stare at them while a few other people gather around waiting for them to be done too. I decide to walk around a bit and when I went back, they still werent done. Thanks for closing aisles off to customers who actually wanted to buy something. Thought about getting the manager but figured if the employees didnt care about customer satisfaction then neither did they. Now I drive out of my way to go to Lowes, who have never made me feel like an inconvenience...
Beware of Wadsworth Home Depot kitchen remodel and appliance departments. 2/28/18 total kitchen remodel ordered through their kitchen and appliance department. 4/3/18 cabinets delivered, 4/13/18 my contractor started work: Wall oven will not fit in wall cabinet, HD hired their technician to double check the measurements. Report states, will not fit, need different size cabinet. HD managers claimed it would fit and tried to FORCE me to have their installer put it in at half the installation cost. There are no words to explain the lies, run around, ill-advised excuses and incompetence of these departments managers. There were other little oops that occurred, oven cabinet was supposed to have drawer on the bottom, cabinets boxes mislabeled with wrong identification codes, spacer not ordered another spacer 3” to short. Counter top technician revised order when he came to measure, he even doubled check with me regarding the color of the sink; still ordered wrong color. Counter top company double checked my order with HD, had to go to HD sign paperwork to have sink color changed back to what I originally ordered. (Counter top not installed yet I just hope they get it right) 5/2/18 Called corporate, waited another week for this answer. “After speaking with both the Store Manager and District Manager they have decided to refund the double oven without charging a restock fee. They cannot install. Please advise when the best time is for us to pick up the oven. We will make every attempt to make this a convenient time.” Not even an I’m sorry for the inconvenience. The best excuse was, this wouldn’t be a problem if you hired one of our installers. One month later and I’m still without a kitchen and no installation date on the countertop. I wouldn’t have given HD any stars if that would have been an option.
Over the years, Ive exclusively used Home Depot over Lowes. For some time, the customer service has been lacking, and now, no customers can enter this particular location without masks. Today, Amazon delivered my home improvement products - didnt even have to leave my couch. Bye bye box stores.
Had a Toro mower (under warrantee) problem and took it to the Wadsworth store as instructed by the Montrose store. I figured the motor had seized up and was shot. They agreed to send it to Toro for evaluation. Instead they sent it to Home Depot Indianapolis for a tune up which cost me $82 and didnt resolve my problem.Now I have a mower that has been gone most of the summer, takes 27 pulls to start has little power and blows smoke.I contacted Toro and they informed me that the HD folks dont have the skill set to fix Toro products and I am probably out the money and time lost.Thumbs down on the Wadsworth store for wasting my time and money.
Brett and Ryan from Wadsworth location very disrespectful and rude I guess you have to see who is working before shopping here I expressed my concerns about the situation and was rudely told call 1800homeDepot with a smirk I asked to talk to a manager and Ryan tells me hes not a manager but is in control of my transaction absolutely terrible from a store that supposedly prides themselves on customer service

2022-03-03The most friendly staff! Every single worker in sight asked if I needed help or if I had any questions. When I looked lost circling back to an aisle to grab something I forgot they even asked if I needed help with the specific project I was working on. One worker was stumped by the particular item I needed but helped me brainstorm what I could possibly use instead. This home depot definitely hired a good bunch of people.

2022-06-30Ordered new gas range last week for delivery/installation for 6/29. Delivery window was between 10:30am until 2:30pm. All day, tracking and showing when in route. Needless to say it was not delivered nor installed. No phone call or any sort of communication for the no show.

2021-04-15Employees are very helpful at the Wadsworth Home Depot. Jeff stayed with us and even helped us calculate the measurements in different ways to accommodate the space were working on at home. A Five Star rating.

2021-12-30This is one of the better home Depot store locations. The store floor layout is more intuitive than many of the others. The folks here wearing orange aprons are very knowledgeable and helpful so dont be afraid to ask questions. Pricing is about as good as can be expected for retail building materials.

2021-12-02I have been buying home supplies from Home Depot locations quite a bit over the past 20+ years. Their inventory, quality, and service have always been excellent. Today was no real deviation. I ordered an accessory for my lawn mower and picked it up today. The young lady that waited on me called for help, but since no one was available, she carried the box out to my car (I just had surgery or I would have done it). The only issue is Home Depot must compete with Lowes and everyone else. So, they had almost no one running registers. So, self checkout was my only option. I was assisted by a clerk on checkout, so it wasnt call bad. The young man was very helpful. I just feel a bit uncomfortable checking out my own goods.

PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING ONLINEThis is the 3rd time in about 6 months that I have cancelled an order within an hour of ordering and they ended up shipping anyway. Yesterday I ordered a loveseat and within an hour I found out the measurements were wrong. I cancelled with an hour or the order. The cancellation was ignored and they shipped it and charged me anyway the next day. CS advised me to return it when it comes IT IS A LOVESEAT. NOT SOMETHING I CAN THROW IN THE BACK OF MY CAR. Horrible dealing with Home Depot online. Avoid if you can.
