Rented a drywall dust vacuum. Person did not even know we had scheduled the rental (not a big deal, he quickly retrieved it). Only had one accessory on the actual vacuum. They gave us a hose that did not fit into the vacuum (told us it will hold once we turn on suction and to not tug). They were able to hunt down end parts that we needed. We drove the 45 minutes home only to find out the electrical cord had a fault in it so the machine would not stay on. Had to drive it all the way back and they gave use a refund after they made sure we were telling the truth (tested vacuum in store... would have been helpful had they done this before renting it out). Commented that we had had it for 3 hours.... picked it up, grabbed groceries, went home, unloaded, went to farm, plugged in the item, had to drive all the way back... Definitely do not recommend renting anything from here. Would have saved money just buying our own and not having to deal with the hassle.
I’m in a Home Depot pretty much every week, I know my way around but I’d still like to see more in-aisle service.I see the Home Depot folks huddled up together in pockets around the store - they appear to be avoiding helping anyone.When you do get someone I’m appreciative but the quality/depth of knowledge isn’t like it used to be often I know they’re actually incorrect in their advice.I get it - it’s tough to find skilled help.Keep trying and make them engage even if they’re struggling!
Good store for a variety of items. Good selection of seasonal items to get most anything done around the house, farm, or anyplace something needs done. Employees are generally helpful without being overbearing. Can usually find things without assistance, or by using the app to figure out where things are. But sometimes, a human can be needed.
If not daily im there every other day! As soon as i walk in the door i hear Hey Billy how you doing today or Billys back By far my favorite store because im a Contractor and the employees are helpful whenever i need them. A lot of people dread going to get material, but not me because if im having a bad day someone at the Pro Service desk always makes me laugh which betters my day!
Went to the store to purchase a range. Didnt have it in stock. Waited over 3 weeks for delivery that didnt show up. No phone call or anything. Called them and they said that they took my range back to the warehouse and it would be another 3 weeks to get it delivered. Done with Home Depot. Lowes from now on.
Ordered a appliance with Home Depot in Ontario, Ohio which went smooth without issue until the delivery process. Delivery drivers showed up to my house high off of weed to the point I could smell them downstairs while I was working upstairs. The delivery drivers of Home Depot stated they could not install it so we needed a plumber, no big deal.Next, we find out Home Depot sent a plumber to install a emergency shutoff in order to install the dishwasher. No big deal right? Home Depot doesnt cover this under their install fee and ironically found the most expensive plumber in the area. Guess what? The dishwasher they claimed they would installed was not installed again.Again, attempted to schedule a installation as we paid for this service we should receive it right? The person from Columbus refuses to return phone calls and calls at super odd times throughout the morning (6:41 AM to be exact). When you return the phone call no one answers. This goes on for 3-4 business days throughout attempting to get in touch with this girl who refuses to listen to anything you say.That brings us to today after we decided throughout this whole process it has been nothing but a pain with working with Home Depot we installed the dish washer ourselves last week. We receive a phone call that installers from Home Depot are on the way to the house to install our dishwasher. This is two weeks after we had declined them a installation and requested a refund that they claimed would be no big deal to do and they were going to make things right.If you want to purchase a great product online, great. But leave Home Depot and their great trustworthy drugged out of their mind installers out of the equation as other reviews have stated and the home depot management team at this location out of the equation. They will truly Make things NOT right.
Went here to pick up a few supplies with my grandson for remodeling project. They had everything he needed. I shop Home Depot myself but not at this particular location. Ive always had good luck finding everything I need no matter how big or how little my project is. I highly recommend shopping at Home Depot.
We had a problem with our six month old upright Frigidaire freezer, still under warranty, that we purchased at Home Depot. After several attempts trying to get help with Frigidaire, and not get anywhere, my wife and I went to Home Depot where we purchased said freezer. I asked to speak with a manager. Josh, the assistant manager, who was on duty at the time, met with us for over an hour. He went above and beyond his call of duty to help us with our predicament. We cant say enough how much we appreciate the professional customer service we received from Josh. Thank you Josh!
Always extremely helpful at this store. The staff is always quick to help you find what you need and explain to you how you can complete your home diy need. They are not in the business of trying to sell you things you do not need either. For them it is more about you getting the job done then getting a sale. As a consumer this is always helpful and keeps me coming back to this location.
Nice location. I usually dont have issues, but this particular Home Depot is terrible if you are handicapped. You are able to come in with close parking, but when you go to leave, there are signs that say returns only and check out at other end. After trying to wait to ask if they could help me, 3 people were already swarmed there, and a woman cut me off rudely...so I slowly made it down to the far end just find that I have to check myself out. The gal that was assisting that area was very nice. However, now my handicapped parking spot was way across the parking lot. This one stop took all reserve that I had for the entire day. Home Depot please work on a better handicapped friendly check out experience.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to a certain associate we dealt with. She was rude and condescending. I bought over $3000 worth of materials there because they had the best prices out of the three stores in mansfield. All the other associates were friendly and helpful.
This was the worst experience I ever had at Home Depot ..they use these guns to check to see if they have in stock which the gun says no they didnt.. and didnt know when they would have the parts in ..!!we located the pieces that we needed had to pull them off shelves.. to get what we needed to redo a bathroom .. talk to the assistant manager she didnt have a clue either of anything.. after a while she finally offered a 10% discount... and we were supposed to be happy with that. If we wouldnt have found the parts that we needed. they would have lost the sale.. this is a fine way to run a business..
I really like this Home Depot. The employees are aware of the customers. They ask if they can help with finding the item and make suggestions when they are aware of a better product that fits the need. It is well organized, well lighted, and the shelves are kept clean and orderly. Everyone from the door entrance, the backend of the store and cashiers are gracious, friendly people.
The items were in stock and priced the way their web-sight shown.Hardly saw any employees to ask if I did need assistance and the only registers open were self-serve.I had a question about one item but figured it out myself.Im glad to still have a place to get the type of products they carry, but I wish they had more people available to ask questions of. Instead of having to waste time searching for help and finally just diy!
Never ever buy anything there again bought a riding lawn mower they were going to deliver called next morning and said it would be 3 wks before delived got money back went to TSC bought at 1230 pm delivered at 3 pm you would think for 1800 they could do better than 3 wks
Nothing upsets me more than waiting thirty minutes for an associate to help you!! I went up to the customer service desk to get some help. Her response was,Im sorry were understaffed. But yet your calling off and laying off your season help with a help wanted sign in the womans restroom??? What kind of management runs this store??
Update: i spoke with the manager Nick after the incident occurred and he was determined to help! He used his day off and his personal resources to get the top box and bottom box from two different locations (which is not close to Ontario). Thank you Nick!Original post: My husband and I bought a tool chest combo from the store (they only had 1 set in stock), and we told them we will pick it up the next day as we didn’t have our trailer with us then. Home Depot agreed and they put the tool chest on “will-call” after we PAID. Came back the next day, nobody could find the tool chest, then they told us they sold our tool chest to another person. They then said there is the top chest in another store over 75 miles away but then refused to transfer it to our local store so we can at least have one of the boxes and we were going to just buy the bottom box elsewhere.
I was VERY disappointed and frustrated with my visit to Home Depot today. The associates had no clue of the inventory as they had difficulty pointing me in the right direction or could not answer my questions about products. As my husband and I were checking out, he had to go help an elderly couple with a heavy purchase because they could not find an associate to help. The individual checking us out clearly heard this and did not offer assistance. Im not sure well be returning!
Wow. Not sure where to start. Went in with the idea of buying an entire kitchen suite of appliances and left with nothing. The woman seemed too busy to help. Talked with a man from the cabinetry dept and he came over to show me what they had. He printed out everything so I would have prices and order time to compare with the other places. When she saw how much I was interested in purchasing she came over to help but then said you might as well wait for the black Friday prices to come out and then walked away again. Went to Menards and came home with a dishwasher and will be going back there to order the rest...I gave 3 stars only because the man went out of his way to help.
When going to the Ontario store make sure you bring your own gloves. On may 2 at 5:50 pm when I was there they were not cleaning the carts or the self checkout hand scanners. A manager was right there at the exit helping at the registers, it was almost closing time. Please protect yourself shopping there because your well being is not their priority.
Victoria and Nikki at the Ontario Ohio store went above and beyond to help me get my countertops ordered by! I had been to Lowes 6 times with no customer service from them !! Home Depot has my business and those 2 Ladies are wonderful !! Please give them some recognition !!
DO NOT BUY MAJOR APPLIANCES HERE!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!! I am putting a review specifically for the store manager, Dan, at the Ontario Ohio Home Depot. We have purchased 4 major appliances from that store. The most recent being a brand new washing machine. The machine didnt seem to work correctly since we had it delivered but we figured it was due to being a different machine than weve been used to and continued to use it. Well, it got to the point where it was obvious, after a month, that it was the machine. We called to have home depot send a service person to come evaluate the problem.According to the service person, the machine looked as though it should have never passed inspections, as there were copper wires hanging out of the bottom and the gear box was bad. However, it was doing other things that he couldnt even decifer what was wrong. So he would order the part, but had no idea how long before this would be delivered and even if this will fix the problems.My husband called the store and the assistant store manager told my husband he would be glad to refund us for that machine and have us pick a different machine. Well, Dan, the store manager decided against this and that we would have to sit here with a brand new, not working, washing machine, for an unknown amount of time, instead of doing the right thing and taking care of the customer and getting this issue quickly resolved. So here we sit with a brand new appliance and unable to do wash. Therefore, I will NEVER step foot into that store again. If this is how he treats his customers, I will not contribute another penny to his salary.
Always a pleasure to do business with! I am at the Home Depot store at least every other week to obtain bldg. materials. I have always had great service & very friendly. I’m there so much they know me by name! I rarely go any where else, they always have what I need, or will get it for me!
Make sure if you call in with a phone order that you call again before picking it up to verify your order. They do not read their notes especially when you request wood cutting. None of the wood was cut upon arrival. This delayed me and my crew of 15 people an hour to get my order right and wood cut. This careless delay cost me hundreds of dollars and valuable time. I also ordered a series of bolts and most were the wrong sizes. I spent an hour on the phone with my order and was very clear what I needed. The management simply doesn’t care about quality service. They need to slow down and pay attention! Then I was told someone would meet me at the exit to help load my order into my vehicle and after waiting 15 minutes no one ever showed up!
Yesterday I visited Home Depot and needed some help. I asked an employee named Gary if there were any wood scraps I could buy for my preschool class. We needed some for a project. He not only helped me find what I needed but also didnt charge me for the wood. Thank you so much Gary for your help!!! I will continue to shop at Home Depot.
I had problems with a hot water tank I got there in June. It needed a part but no one in town had it. The manufacturer was going to send new part but it would take several days so no hot water. I called in and got Dan Berger the store manager. He looked for my hot water tank there but no stock. He checked the Ashland store and they had it. He drove to Ashland and took the park off theirs and delivered it to me at work. This guy is my hero and Home Depot is lucky to have him. Dan...your are the man!!
Hard to find staff, when you do they seem disinterested in helping. Needed some wood cut and guy said 2 cuts free after that 50 cents per cut (double what Lowes charges), did not mention that it is not 2 cuts per piece even though I said oh then its 3 cuts per board so I only have to pay for one cut per board (and even though if I bought them one at a time it would be per piece) until we got to check out and they wanted to charge $15 for 3 minutes of work. Also did not want to do price match for same product at Lowes or give veterans discount at first but only did when I started to walk away and leave the cut boards. Used to be better attitude from staff and used to not feel gouged. Had similar experience trying to rent steam cleaner for carpet, showed up asked for steam cleaner and filled out paperwork only to be handed a scrubber not a steam cleaner and then get argued with that they are the same. Have started going to ACE more lately.
Worst customer service ever, Went to buy a dishwasher using the Home Depot credit card, had a coupon in the mail for $30 off anything over $300. Found one we wanted only it was not in stock and had to pay $59 delivery charge because it was under $396. No where on the ticket was this extra charge shown, I was told this by the associate and that Best Buy and other places did the same. I walked out and said I am not paying that. No effort made to keep me there and make a sale. Went to ABC warehouse and found a much better model at a cheaper price and paid zero delivery charge. I called corporate and even talked to a store manager and all anyone could do was offer me apologies and not one solution to the problem, I will not be walking in there ever to buy any appliances in the future.
Absoultley wanderful, store manager, Dan B, and assist store manager, stepped up and blessed a member in the community, in there hour of need. Its a wonderful and beautiful thing seeing these representatives act with empathy, heart, and a real desire to help where its truly needed. Thank you gentleman, thank you home depot
Its home depot. It was ..homey, n shtuff. I believe in bargain shopping. The discount shelves are a great starting point. Its a huge store and would take a couple days to sort through everything. The employees were very gratious with help finding items in the store and even looking on line if they dont carry it to help with your projects.
Home Depot paint department is absolutely terrible. They were to mix the same color of paint and totally screwed up! One was light and the other was dark! I hired painters and when they started the second gallon we noticed the difference. Home Depot only reimbursed for paint but Im stuck with the additional cost of the painters! I will never return!
Recent visit to the store late Saturday afternoon before Fathers day to purchase a $400.00 grill. In stock but not assembled. Associate Zachary Suponi offered to assemble and I could assist. Three hours later grill was ready to go for the holiday. Outstanding customer service from this young man. Ill bet there were 500 screws to install. At check out one of the other associates ask Zach why he did this and his reply was what was I going to say NO? Please know he was very friendly and courteous even though some of the components were very frustrating being it was his first assembly ever. Thank you Zach. Ed Miller Mansfield
Ordered on line because I was pressed for time.I get a text at 1030 stating my order is ready for pick up go to retrieve it at 1120 and still waiting at noon.Im standing at the customer service desk and they proceed to help everyone that comes in after me.I quess since they already had my money I was not as urgent as the customers that they have not got money off of.Well Lowes and Menards just received another customer
Home Depot did not have most of the items I was looking for. I was wanting to put out a vineyard this spring and needed 324 inch round wooden post 8 ft long 4000 feet of 10 gauge single strand wire and steel post 8 foot long none of which they were able to help me with.
It took well over 20 minutes to get assistance in cutting some wood I wanted to purchase. I asked two associates who told me they would call someone I called the store and waited on hold for over 5 minutes before someone answered and said they would page. I heard several pages and still no one showed. I finally cornered one of the associates who said they would call someone and finally received assistance.
This store sucks never have what you need. They know the homilite weed eater is junk. They use to sell carbs for them cause they go bad quick. But they continue to sell junk. I hate them the most cause they never have what you need manards is all I need. Goodbye home shito. They got 1 star cause that was the only way to say anything... no stars here. Everthing they sell is like the dollar general store
The store always has what I need and stuff I dont need, and yes Skull Man, even junk like Homelite. Menards, Lowes AND Harbor Freight sell junk too. If you want a quality product, do your online research and buy only highly rated products. I bought an ECHO weed trimmer there 5 years ago and a Makita 4 cycle leaf blower there 10 years ago and they both start on the first or 2nd pull every spring with a tank of stale gas in them. They were more expense than the Homelite junk BUT I knew that they were a better product and worth the few extra dollars.
Their delivery time is Horrible, my cousin has had 2 experiences with them, they say they will call 1/2 hr before coming & both times they called & said was there to deliver. It was never in the time frame they said either. Arrangements need to be made for people that work & are not home. When you call the # back you never get a Live person, its all automated. This needs to be corrected.....

2022-06-19Extremely disappointing and frustrating!!We couldn’t find anyone to help us in appliances. We went back approximately 20min later, still no associate near appliances, finally we asked for one to be called after we found exactly what we wanted, and were told that un like what the sign stated that delivery was not free, there would be a charge of 99.00…The sign clearly says 396 or more. It’s so sad what customer service has come to, what an untapped resource is being lost due to people simply not caring about making customers happy!!!!And doing what’s best for the business.

2022-05-23Went looking for a water spigot home depot is a very large store. I 1st went down the plumbing isle, which it was not there. I asked a associate, they pointed me to lawn & garden. I told them it was fine, I could take it from there.Few seconds I hear, WAIT!! He told me the wrong spot and then took me right 2 them. Lol...Im glad I didnt walk clean out to the garden part!Also, showed me a new way - the shark spigot, they r neat!

2022-05-31So I purchased the pool on May 27th and the delivery date when I seen it on the lady screen said a sooner date. When I purchased it and got my receipt half a week turned into almost 3 weeks. So I called customer service to cancel it and order it from Walmart or Amazon because I would get it sooner, they said it had already been shipped. So I was like well okay great. Nope its still sitting in the warehouse and wont be shipped until the end of next week. Does that sound shady? I live in Ohio and we dont get that many warm swimworthy days. My daughters already a week into her summer break and shes going stir crazy. The delivery company is RL something and all the company can do (referring to home Depot) is apologize for the inconvenience and give me $160 credit on a gift card to spend at their store for a pool that was $1300! Buyers beware delivery is a B and Home Depot doesnt make it any better.

2022-05-05Delivery services and nightmare. They contract with JW logistics, A company with over a hundred complaints against them through better business bureau alone, Home Depot has no measures in place to hold JW logistics accountable for missing or damaged appliances.

2022-05-25Returns are even simpler than walmart, and he directed me right to the aisle I needed to be in! My new one stop shop for anything I need if they have it.Update: I have noticed that for almost every category, they are something like 10-20% more expensive than the same stuff at Walmart across the street. For specialty items however, gotta go to the home depot. Thank you pipe fittings

2022-02-12I am so disappointed with Home Depots appliance delivery service. Recently I helped my mother purchase a new washer after her old one broke down. Home Depot was supposed to deliver and set up her new washer, and haul away her old washer for which she had paid an extra $25. They completely failed her. They brought the new washer but didnt hook it up claiming she needed a new faucet. They also didnt take the old washer away. They just left both machines sitting in her basement, and she still has no usable machine after waiting for two weeks for delivery. Completely unacceptable!

2021-10-05I bough these cabinets to find it was broken once we took the cardboard was off. I asked management to loan me a truck to return it and replace it, would not do it. Then we get the new one and the worker transferred a bunch of orange onto the door and left a greasy hand mark that I am unable to get out. Asked for a discount and was denied. Will never be shopping there again.
