The Home Depot in other cities:
Prices were a bit high for flowers etc,and they encourage you to self checkout.Only having one cashier in the lawn and gardening and one self checkout.I should get a paycheck since I have to shop, checkout and bag my own items.Offer a discount when you choose to use self checkout because I am not on your payroll.Such an inconvenience and annoying.
Every time I enter a home depot its friendly staff and helpful. Im a new homeowner, so Ive been to several home depots over the past 3 months. From buying appliances to buying small things to fix up the houses. I know I can get somethings cheaper at other stores, but the staff is very knowledgeable about small jobs I can do myself.
I dread having to go to our home depot. Too many of the workers, who Ive seen for long enough for them to be familiar with the products, are completely clueless. OK, I understand it takes time, fine. But there are a few of the floor people who are not only clueless, but are also glued to their personal phones and act like its an extreme inconvenience that Im requesting guidance. One of the girls is so incredibly rude, I did not even ask her for anything and she gave us the dirtiest look. How is she still employed there? She helps no one, plays on her phone, and is extremely rude. It wasnt like that years ago. One gentleman did help me and unfortunately I forgot his name but if it werent for him, Id drive out of my way to avoid this particular store. And nobody answers the phone when I call ahead to save me the headache of going there for nothing
Came in to pick up some panelling and a young man, from that department, came over to assist me with moving 20 boards without being asked! He just jumped right in and even offered to help load them into my trailer once I finished my purchase. Awesome customer service and I was very impressed with his conscientious approach to his job. Thank you Home Depot for hiring such a quality person and employee!
Staff was helpful and friendly. I found everything I wanted. Price was kind of high but I wasnt mad because what I was searching for hard on the internet in separate components; all came in one package there. Well stocked. Only 4 stars because od the prices but I guess you get what you pay for.
Thank You Bob Williams! Your knowledge of the store and assistance helping me find things takes customer service to a whole new level. 10 stars. Go to isle 31 take 3 steps and its on the 3rd shelf on the right! Are you freaking kidding me! Yes it was there. Bob is one of a kind! The undisputed champion of customer service.
I was using curbside pickup today checked in with the email gave them the number where I was parked and waited 15 minutes checked in again waited another 15 minutes checked in again and waited another 15 minutes then finally I said Im going to have to go in to get my item as soon as I walked up to the pickup line the girl goes up to the cage and said curbside pickup I said yes Ive been waiting 45 minutes sorry were a little understand how did you know I was parked in curbside as soon as I walked in if you werent watching me from the window I am disabled with back issues and I had to carry a box of fire logs from the store to my car when I stated in my order it was for curbside pickup this store failed miserably.
I purchase 16 boards of drywall today at the pro desk. I asked for help loading it and the pro desk said they would have someone help me. I waited and waited and waited no one showed. So I asked again. Waited and waited and waited. No show. So a black customer had to help me load it. However I did see home depot helping a white customer load his boards. Actually it was two associates helping him. I asked one of the associates who was helping the white customer load his boards she said that they dont know where Andrew is and he is the loader. But they were helping the white customer load his boards. Not sure if its a white or black thing but I am shopping out of my normal area and this was the closest Home depot. I figured all the home depots treat you the same but no. I actually took a picture of it.
The ASSISTANT manager at this store is a complete lier... I needed 2 minutes of the general managers time and the assistant manager lied to me about passing a message to him, as a long time customer, i had a horrible experience because of an assistant manager that made it impossible for me to speak to the store manager .....I literally had to call another store and have their general manager pass the message onto the store manager. Once I got a call from the store manager I learned the assistant never gave him the message... apparently I was not important enough ....anyway, the store manager was VERY helpful and professional.. its a shame that this store (Broopark Rd) is hindered by an assistant manager that makes long time customers start to consider other big box stores for their business ... this manager is NOT part of what used to make Home Depot great ....Horrible Assistant .manager
They gave me the wrong product on a curbside pick-up order. When I came back the next day to make an exchange via curbside, customer service was short and snippy. They expressed little care in learning of the mix-up; no apology or accountability for their mistake. I then waited exactly FIFTY ONE minutes for the right product to come to my car.Save your time and go down the street to ACE Hardware instead. Workers there have genuine concern for customer service and a real sense of time.
Amazing customer service! Came in for trash bags, had no problem finding a person to help and he made sure I found the ones I need by using his app. So I went over there for the bags (they weigh a few pounds) and realized I also needed some bottled water. I tried to pick up two cases of the water and the bags and realized I needed a cart so I went off to get one. On my return I found two employees had found a cart for me, put my bags and water in it and were looking for me! Thanks guys!
Have been to this Hope Depot many times. The selection of items is ok- but they need have more stocked of what the customers actually want to buy. The staff is ok- I have not had a problem with them- but this store really needs to hire more help and also needs to keep things organized a little bit better.
I really don’t want to give them a two star rating but today 5/27/2021 my trip justified it. There were plenty of associates in the store some helping customers and other associates talking among themselves. One only one register with a cashier- other self serve ones open- and I needed some boards measured because they were sold by the foot. The helper had an attitude like its my fault they had to be measured. My suggestion open more registers - make the customers feel like you want their business- not like they are a burden.
Very good experience in the paint department. The check out area very very unorganized. There is suppose to be one line and that is not what happened. The lady that was suppose to be managing the check out line, had no idea how to get things organized. She was kind of nasty when she was made aware that people were going in front of others that stood in lines myself included. The sign telling customers were the line begins is not very effective. The store employees that manage the lines need to be more accountable so that there are no issues.
The employees were very kind. Although the store itself was unbelievably unorganized and I had to keep walking from isle 57 to 16 due to the misunderstanding of a certain chain link. However Mark, the master skew finder was as helpful, cool, calm, and collective as he could be as an employee.
The people that work there are always very helpful. Only one thing that was disappointing. There is a sign on all doors stating you MUST be masked to enter. There were only a handful of people masked on a busy Saturday. Obviously, they do not enforce this policy. I will go somewhere else to shop for what I need.
Two stars is being generous. Completely outraged over some store policies. First off the web site for that location had 0 inventory for the Rigid Saw I was looking at while it was right on the shelf. Second, and probably the most infuriating is the fact that the website had this saw on special for $449 while it was listed at $504 on the price tag. Asked associate about the discrepancy and was told it was an online price only. I stated that no where online did it state that and was told Home Depot does not price match its own online ad. When spoke to customer service was told the same. I DID NOT purchase. That has to be the most assinine thing Ive ever heard of.
There was not any help in the store... Could not find a person to help me.I find this to be very consistent at this particular home Depot and now I have started to go to LowesOn the rare occasion that you do find someone to help you most of the time they dont know anything.
I waited for over 20 minutes for this guy name mike to come up to the front of the store. You cannot blame the girls up front.....There are bad SQ numbers on the fence display outside......(shadow box fence)Also none of the staff are wanting to help you the just walk by you .....This store should go out of business......
The customer service was awesome! We had 2 different orders of 2x4 wood delivered to our house over the last month. Unfortunately, some of the wood we received was not useable. We brought the 12 pieces back up and Teionna M was more than helpful at customer service. We were frustrated just because the amount of money we had spent not just on the wood but on each delivery fee but she was beyond kind, patient and helpful for us. I wish every customer service we dealt with has a Teionna!
Most Chics like to shop at the MallThis chic goes wild for HOME DEPOTHow can you not?! Always someone willing to help you, even if its not their department- store is always clean- watch for the younger boys there tho- they are boys and act as such- make fun of people and havent matured yet- oh and youll spot them- somehow Im always there when 3-4 of them outside- youll recognize them- hard to miss for sure-Other than the little boys who work there- everyone else is amazing ❤️
Never thought I would say it but this Home Depot is actually better than the Lowe’s down the street, although not by much. Biggest issue is not the lack of employees but lack of their willingness to work, often times there will be checkout lines with 10 people waiting, but yet 5 HD employees are standing around talking with one another.
Its Home Depot. You know what they have. Service at this location is non existent. I can imagine day to day operations from the customers perspective wouldnt change if all the employees were replaced by computers. You ask someone something they give you a look like you should tell them. Which after inevitably pulling your phone out to find the aisle and bay you can. Useless.Edit: I was there to buy a refrigerator. Not something I can toss in my cart and walk out. I did the customary customer mating ritual. Stare at the products.. at the employees as they stare at their feet and shuffle along. I also saw some older woman trying to get a heavy item down off a high shelf. From around the corner I heard her explain to another customer she couldnt find anyone to help her so she decided to get it herself. You guys dodged a bullet there.
Customer service is not what it used to be when I worked there years ago. No one comes up to me to ask me if I need anything or help. Thatvwas never the case when I worked there. Everything was oriented towards the Customer. 4 stars because I have no issues with products or the store itself. 5 stars if the service was better.
Me and my fiance went to brookparks home depot a few weeks ago to grab some gardening supplies and a bird feeder for the back yard. Well we found a bird feeder and it was the only one left with no tag, the lady working self check outs refused to help us get a price check on it. She was rude and her customer service sucks.
I was at this location today and Tevante, known as Te, who is the assistant manager, was awesome. It was crazy and the machines weren’t working properly. We also had to do our own online pickup since the order we placed never was completed for curbside pickup. He took the time to look out for us and apologize for an inconvenience. He made our shopping experience amazing and a role model for other workers to look up to.
Had an issue with a lawn mower I purchased back in August. Went there and spoke to the manager Bob, even though I was after my return policy Bob still did allow me to return my mower. I appreciate that level of customer service Im thankful that he was able to process the transaction. Good job Bob!!!!
The last few months have literally changed the way one has to look at the home depot, for storm damage they have you covered .For survival of a significant situation perhaps the next one will be better .On the way some stores deliver their products are not always going to be the best .Belts are important for delivery professionals, ABSOLUTELY no one is wanting to see perhaps the most dusty drawers on any given person .Has no one who has a friend who has to have them so low that you can not, not see them dirty and say nothing? So Yeah its important .Especially since the fact that it is being delivered mostly means that you have paid a lot of money .The products are available and they will work .Customers service is what you make it ,patients and then more patients will help you out with your own business .Pick your best time, measure twice and visit once .
Huge parking lot and the inside is so beautifully organized. You can even look up an item on their website before you go in and it will tell you what aisle and bay it is in. I was in and out in 10 minutes with exactly what I needed, and Im not construction person. The prices are also very reasonable. When I shop around and online, their prices almost always win.
5 stars 2 Larry & Jonathon in tool rental 4 their expertise & service. However, Phat @ customer service returns should get that u dont laugh @ customers being I didnt see any no returns on gas.items after 30 days. I argue that its wrong 2 post that on your receipt AFTER purchase.when she argued its on the internet then priced it! Right! & at registers which its not. Asjed why shed laugh Add a customer she thought it was funny that I didnt agree with a Policy design to tell you after purchase. Id work w tool rental but neverbuyfrom this locale again maybe lowes is a best option this place has been going down hill over the years. NEVER FiND HELP HERE.
If you want a mini stroke you should definitely come here... WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN AT HOME DEPOT. Employees at this store just dont care. I spent 45 minutes at this store trying to find someone that can help me buy a door. I was told to go to 3 different people that did not know how to help me out, and at 7:30 pm they told me that the person working at that section left for the day at 6pm and they are closing at 8pm so there was noone to help me. Save your time and money, drive an extra half a mile to the closest Lowes and get what you need fast and no hassle. Was in and out in 5 minutes... 5 stars for Lowes in Ridge Park Square!!!
Its a little frustrating when you ask about an item you are trying to look for and ask an employer (mind you there were 3 standing and talking among themselves) one just says the aisle where it it and they just keep talking (not even about work). Ive shopped this location many times and if I needed help some would be very kind and help you look for what your searching for but not today. 🤨
I come here when I have to. Not my preferred hardware store. Hard to find associates when help is needed and I do not like the layout of the store especially post covid. In particular I do not like the cattle like flow of having to enter at one door and out the other only, it makes parking unnecessarily difficult. If I want something in plumbing I like to go in the nearest door and out the same. I dont want to have to walk half of the store just to get a pipe fitting. This is not unique to this store as other stores have the same problem, its annoying.
I expected better than what Ive dealt with in regards to what I needed to find but then again I shouldve asked better employees that worked there than the first two Ive come across (one ignored me basically at first when I had to repeatedly say excuse me they finally just told me any aisle # which apparently wasnt where that item was kept just so I could go away etc, the other employee who seemly didnt want to assist at all as if they were in a rush to go on their break or something) whom Im quite sure wouldve helped/directed me exactly to what I was looking for. Anyhow hopefully next time if I had to come back I will make sure not to ask those certain ones etc.
We visited Home Depot before Thanksgiving and talked to John in the appliances department. I was looking for a washing machine. John gave us good advice and I felt comfortable with what he told us. I looked at other places but have decided to purchase a washer and dryer from Home Depot because of the help John gave us and because of the good price.
We went with someone that we know that is a little older and needed our help to get a panel board and piece of trim. Seems easy enough, right?!? They needed to be cut to the needed size. It took someone on their own staff 10 minutes to find someone that was qualified to do the needed measuring and cutting. We finally met the qualified worker to do this for us. This worker was MAYBE 19/20 years old...His measurement , Im sure was fine to start, yet he apparently didnt know how to work the cutting equipment the correct way. After he cut it, from top to bottom, he ended up cutting it again on the way back up! Still yet, after that happened, and his coworker told him that he had done it wrong, he didnt have the idea to just measure it again and make sure there wasnt any l problems with the material. He just went on and cut the trim piece, at the same exact size, that the other piece was supposed to be. Since nobody that was with us noticed what happened, when he was done with the second piece, I took the trim and simply placed it at the top of the panel, as well as the bottom, and it was off by 3/8.Now, most people might not have an issue with this, but those that truly do have pride in the exact measurements, will appreciate the fact that the worker was questioned and made to correct his error, when they were just going to just let it go, like nothing happened.Did I mention that I am in no way a contractor, but I do know that perfect, clean lines, give the best and most beautiful outcomes on jobs being done.Hope this helps you to remember to double check what you are asking for.
I stopped in here to get potting soil since I had missed it somewhere else. Thank goodness they had what I wanted too. I loaded up 4 bags of Miracle Grow Moisture Control and made my way to the register. Everyone was practicing social distancing. Now just to get the rest of my plants taken care of.
Was in need of filter for my furnace, found a associate and they called for the department to come help get it out of top stock. Took 30 minutes for someone to come help. Then instead of doing it the smart way with a ladder or ballymore he used a stick to smack the filters down to the ground most likely damaging them. Complete laziness.
Very unprofessional!!!! I called to check on the status of my order and while I was on the line the customer service representative had a whole side conversation with another representative about work gossip. She did not bother to put me on hold or even say “Please give me a moment”. I kept saying “Helloooo”, but she kept ignoring me until came back on the line.
Update!I did rate this 5 star two months ago. My husband and I are constantly at Home Depot as we like to do things for our house ourselves.. well yesterday 11/10/18 around 5-ish pm we were ready to check out. The cashier that we selected to go to her name was Bessie .....she provided the worse customer service we have ever come across here. The whole time she had a dog face, looked miserable and was not friendly. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or if thats just how she is.. very rude. Once she rang everything up our price seemed way off so we asked her why it was more than what we calculated... she looked at me with a serious face and said four seven ft boards are 28 ft correct? I told her the boards we choose were not charged per ft but by each. She didnt bother to ask someone to clarify instead she told us to go back to the aisle and re-read the sign. So my husband was fed up with her ignorance and we did go back to the aisle took a picture and checked out with someone else by the name of Denise. She was so much friendlier and made our experience a lot better than bitter Bessie
I am a handicapped person who needs to use the motorized cart. The employees in the main part of the store were very helpful. I also needed to get 6 bags of mulch from the home and garden area. The employee there acted like I was a hindrance, didnt offer me a bag for the other items that I had purchased. I asked if there was anyone who could help me load the mulch into my car. She didnt even attempt to call for assistance for me, telling me that it would be 20 minutes before someone could be there to help and if I wanted to get out quicker that I would have to load it myself. As I was placing the last bag into my car a young man walked up and asked me why I didnt ask for assistance and I told him that I had he said that he would have helped me if she had called for him he said he was sweeping up in the back area and that she knew what and where he was. Well that is my last time shopping at Brooklyn, Ohio Home Depot since Handicap people are treated as second class citizens. Menards here I come from now on!!
So what home improvement store does not have a hand held circular saw that doesnt work when you need to cut a piece of wood? This place only had a manual saw to use because their circular saw has been broken! It gets better...the saw was difficult to use because the blade was very dull!! Wow....what a joke!! If it wasnt for an awesome customer service person named Dimitrious who helped us find the wood we needed and struggled to cut it for us....WE WOULD HAVE WALKED OUT!! With all the competition out there....you would think this place would give better customer service!! This is one reason why people do not return!!!!
Our company has been using this location for a long time, since they first opened. They have a fairly good inventory of items and are typically well-stocked. Staff is helpful and the overall area is very clean and safe. Easy access to and from the freeway this location is a good stop if you need to pick up supplies and then get to another part of town easily and quickly.
I always find what I am looking for. What makes this a 3 star rating is the stupid standing in line waiting for someone to tell me that I can approach the checkout counter when it is obvious that nobody is using the self checkout. Dont dare approach the register. The lady will yell at you and tell you to wait for her to tell you its okay. I guess you have to wait for her to quit talking to everyone else first?
I love this home depot. I always call and let them know how much I appreciate all the help they give me. Until my last visit. Went in looking for bath accessories. Online showed ample inventory. When I got there, there was 1 on the shelf that had parts missing. An associate walked toward me and I said I have a question, He kept walking telling me that he works in heating and cooling. I asked if any one could answer my question, he never stopped walking or even looked at me. He said he didnt see anyone. Needless to say I didnt make that purchase..wow! But I do love home depot and will try this againDefinitely not in heating and cooling
If this is brookpark one in Brooklyn. Rude nasty cashier helpers. Im doing the work they once did. I think its wrong depot got rid of their jobs but dont have a rude nasty employee at end of machine talking about her friends and so loud, if she doesnt want job she should quit
I stopped using this particular Home Depot specifically because of their online/ curbside ordering. Im an LGC and sometimes use Home Depot on occasion when my usual building supplier is out of something. This particular Home Depot messed up my last 5 orders and Ive had to physically go back to the store and correct it. Using up valuable time and costing me extra expenses on projects. I now use Strongsville. Strongsville Home Depot seems to have a much better and effective staff. Since switching to Strongsville I havent had to correct a single online order.
I ordered a washer and dryer on 5/3/20 1,400 dollars... and they originally told me the 20th of May for delivery now its may 13th 10 days later!!! Now they wanna call me and tell me oh your order didnt go threw? what took you 10 days to figure that out? And now I have to wait basically another month for something I already paid for already!!!!! Wont buy appliances here again.
Had to take a star away cause of their corporate offices actions on who to support/not support. After that the staff here is great and friendly and are easy to get aid from! I always have fun coming here and hope that current management remains in charge of this location!!
I was looking at garage door openers for 15 minutes. There were 4 employees sitting there the whole time just talking away. I kept looking over at them and not one person came over to ask me if I had any questions or if I needed help. Usually I get great service there and employees always asked me if I need any help. This kinda pissed me off where I will shop at another retail company.
Great customer service. Purchased appliance at this store and had them delivered. After the delivery company left I noticed I had a drill missing. I contacted the delivery company which is NOT home depot and they were very rude to me and didnt believe what I was telling them. The other companies were not that friendly and had very poor customer service. Again NOT Home Depot. I went back to the store to return something I didnt need and spoke with a wonder lady in appliances about the situation. She said she would contact the company and figure something out with them. Called me back a week later and said that the company still said they didnt have it and that home Depot would replace the items for me. Very very grateful for this representative and the store. Thank you
Great place, friendly staff that approaches me rather than me trying to hunt someone down. Cashiers are quick and polite. Aisle are sometimes cluttered and carts are sometimes hard to find, but it is a large store and Im ok with that, rather than hiring another person for carts and then increasing prices. Will recommend and continue to shop here.
This is for the carpet process. They will give you a misleading quote in person so that you will pay $40 to get someone to come out and measure your room. After you pay that $40 is when you get the real quote which is hundreds of dollars more than the original quote and includes hidden materials and other things not included in the original quote even though youre told that nothing else will be added on and even though its supposed to be free installation. Needless to say I will be going with someone else and not these scammers.
Really upset with the rentals department of this HD. We rented a truck on Saturday and our contract stated CLEARLY at the top of page 1 that the truck was to be returned Sunday morning at 9:00 am. We arrived at Home Depot in plenty of time, but had to stand in line to get in. By the time we got to the desk it was 9:04. We were then told that we were not allowed to keep the truck overnight and that we had returned the truck late, on top of that. So they would not honor the contract and charged us additionally for the extra hours. The manager in charge refused to even discuss the agreement made with them the previous day. What a sham!
Went in with a very vague description of what I needed and while I had to go to a different store they were more than happy to help get me in and out.P.s for firearm owners home depot allows open carry and wont throw you out if you are carrying. I only feel the need to mention this because Ive read otherwise from a few people.
I made 11 trips to this store in November. The employees have mastered the art of greeting you with a hello, good morning or such, but NEVER ask if they can help you find anything. I had an employee literally run away from me when I said excuse me sir. I also asked 5 different employees if they could move a lift from in front of the electrical. 2 didnt respond and the other 3 said that they werent able to operate it. After asking each of them if they could get someone who could help with this request, I waited 15 minutes and exited the store.
Ive never been the biggest fan of the giant box stores. Theyre very impersonal and the people tend to have no idea what theyre talking about. They make going there an incredibly unenjoyable experience. I much prefer smaller mom and pop outfits. Theyre much more knowledgeable about what they sell, and they provide the customer service one would expect. The only things the box stores have over the small mom and pop stores, is that they have a much larger selection of products, and the prices are generally lower. If I need a large amount of a certain item, or if I need something that I know the mom and pop store wont have, then Ill usually go to the box store first. Otherwise, I tend to try to get what I need from the mom and pop store. Not only do I enjoy the experience much more, but Im happy to support local businesses. These box stores make it all but impossible for them to survive. One should support their small neighborhood stores, as much as one can. Its good for those businesses and its great for the local economy. These are your neighbors. When they do well, the whole neighborhood benefits.
My husband visited this location today hoping to get some assistance with troubleshooting an issue he had with his cut saw. He found Harry - who works in the shop fixing the rental equipment. Harry was very much willing to take a look at it, and was really helpful overall. He went above and beyond and spent a great deal of time working on the saw to find the problem. We really appreciate it! He didnt have to do any of this but was kind enough to lend a hand. We will be sure to visit this store again in the future.
Store was empty. Needed to have 2 chains cut and customers are asked to not use the machines. Asked 2 employees 1 aisle over for assistance and that was too much to get them off of their conversation. I know its home Depot & not somewhere the employees care about customers. But if youre not going to allow customers to do what we need and have employees who dont want to work. How do you expect sell any products?
I bought a washer and dryer on homedepot.com. When they were delivered and installed, water was shooting out the back of the washer (Amana) This was on a Saturday. I called to set up a delivery for another washer, but no one was available. I called again Monday. She put me on hold to call Maytag to set up delivery. Im gone weekdays mornings, but was told I couldnt specify afternoon. I would think they would send one out asap, but the first Saturday they had was 2 weeks out. I told her Ill have to buy it from another store. I ordered from Best Buy. 2 day delivery.
Rude customer service kept ignoring me and then turned back to me and kept walking away. Was only trying to ask if you had spa/pool supplies. Finally she yelled at me to just go to wal mart! Never did answer my question, so I just left. FYI I went to Lighthouse instead.
I understand with the virus you can only let so many people in storebut they have you coming through one entrance and theres no flat carts and when you go to check out with a flat cart full of stuff theyve done nothing to help you maneuver the cart through the new check out area.they need to have one pro isle open for a straight-out exit for people with large cards with plywood and 10 to 16 foot lengths of lumber
Ill give it 4 stars because I love tools & such. But honestly its a good store with good helpful employees . The night manager Brian should be president , hes extremely knowledgable , takes pride in the store & will help you out with anything . Not too many ppl like him anymore.
I would give this 5 stars but Im not, cause you dont carry soldering flux only just this dumb pack, how do you expect people to solder stuff if you dont have flux.I wish RadioShack didnt go out of business.I dont feel like paying 2$flux+5$ for shipping online.oh the other kit that had flux was for pipe welding and was 15$, ya no thank you.
We walked around the appliances for 30 minutes and no one was around to help us. We had to find somone feom a different departments to help us order our items. Then the cashier didnt evwn know how to ring in the multi appliance discount so we had to stand at the register for 10 mins for the manager to arrive.
We go there to buy bird seed for our feeders because many pet stores no longer carry it or its overpriced. The bird seed is right by an entrance to the stockroom, and they almost always have a forklift/loader parked right in front of the seed, making it difficult at times to get the product.
I paid for some merchandise to be delivered On the date it was to be delivered the driver called and said that they would have to reschedule because it was too heavy and that it wouldnt be delivered for another 3 weeks when I asked to have my credit card reimbursed instead they said it would take 3 to 5 business days Im on 6 days now still no money
Alot of merchandise was on top shelfs wasnt nobody around to help get a picker and take what i needed off. Was really tired from work didnt have the energy to find someone to take what i really needed for my home. Very sad every time i go to Home depot it is like pulling teeth for help!
Im a regular here so I spend $ often with all my projects constantly.A ways back I ordered tile only not to receive the ends and not realizing until the guy I hired was almost done in the kitchen. So f me. Guy was able to make it work. Not much choice. Now of recent purchased new appliances and ordered new flooring etc. Free delivery and install if you buy the power cord etc I was told.Well long story short thas only if its their third party doing it, if they do delivery then no! They do not remove old either. So kinda pissed. I recommend record your conversations with the sales people or at pro counter.
They definitely wasnt like E200 St. A lady told me where boxes were but with thirty something dollars worth & walking with a cane, it would of been too much to pay at one end then get to string at Customer Service to tie them up. Thank God, my granddaughter was with me so we could put them in the car.
This place is in HORRIBLE disarray! Stay away from this store! Went to the lumber dept. Everything was scattered all over the floor, no associates were there when I did find one and asked her a question her reply was, I don know, called the manager and he said they are going thru some changes, I agree, from a good store to a horrible one. Go to menards.
The location on Brook park Rd is the biggest dumpster fire. There employees barely know what they are doing and there lumber department might as well be closed because you can never get anything off the shelf let alone if it is outside in thier over flow. I will avoid that location like Ebola for at least a year and tell everyone I know not to go there.
Brian from lumber was awesome!! I first went to Lowes to look for hardware for a sensory swing I purchased online. After asking their employee, he helped me for two seconds then walked away. I went to home depot where brain first took my call and helped me find the proper hardware. He was very nice and professional!
Went to do a return and I was racially profiled as well as denied my return. So there hassle free return policy is not true. I spoke with corporate and they approved the return but once I got off the phone with them the manager still denied my return and told me to call a 1-800 number and they would clear things up. Horrible customer service
Customer service was absolutely terrible in the garden section. We asked if they carried a certain type of shrub, the first Home Depot representative pointed to where they have shrubs and trees and told us to just search through and see if we can find what we were looking for. We explained we looked through many of their varieties and havent located any but its on the Home Depot website. He said that he did not know we would just have to look for it!!! Talked with a second person who basically told us the same thing and said only the vendors know what is out there. Unbelievable!!
Went to exchange a husky head lamp. Megan at the return counter was super nice. Unfortunately husky doesnt make head lamps anymore, she told me to grab the closest one to it. Grabbed one told Megan at the counter that it was more expensive than husky and i would pay the difference. She spoke to Missy at the same counter who looked at me with disgust and yelled at me saying “who told you you can do this”. I told her no one explained the situation and she let out an obvious annoyed sigh and said “well we cant do that”. Missy customer service plainly sucks and she should be removed from dealing with customer. I spent thousands at this home depot location and never had an issue. Missy should not be working there or at least use her to take garbage out and keep out of the way of the staff that actually wants to help.
Horrible customer service. You cant get a smile or hello from any employee in this store. Trying to get help is a joke. I actually had a employee jump two aisles just to avoid helping my wife and I. This stores lighting is dark, combine that with the total lack of customer service and youll wonder why this store is even open. Thanks for wasting 45 minutes of our life.
I walked out without buying anything. Took my two items to checkout stood there for several minutes before anyone came over. The cashier came over and asked another cashier where she was the second cashier said she had left ( register on and light on) the second cashier shuts off the light and rudely says i will have to to another register.so i go to the only other register open and she was having computer issues. So i walk to self checkout with my cash in hand and guess what it does not take cash. Ha ha ha so the girl standing there says i will have to use another register. ( oh no i wont) i hand her my merchandise and said i am going to Lowes. .
This is my toy store. Mostly all the employees I have had the pleasure to meet are very helpful and knowledgeable. Brook Park Home Depot is the only one I like to shop at. I bypass Minards and Lowes on my way to HD, I shopped at Lowes (not by choice) for client. The quality of their materials are subpare, for instance top soil at Lowes was sandy and just a bad mix altogether, were as HD top soil I bought for my yard was a ton better quality. And wood/lumber is a whole nother story.
Was needing help with vertical blinds and there were three employees standing around, two of the three acted extremely rude and put off when I asked them for help. The store is imtimidating enough when you know little about home improvement and having rude staff sure doesnt help.
Second store with same outcome, first one was in Strongsville. If you order deal of the day online to pick up in store, dont waste your time. Youll get email notification next day that your order is cancelled. If you call home depot customer service they will tell you reason for cancellation was: item is out of stock and the deal was for a limited time only. You can buy the item for a regular price. What a deal?
READ THIS IF YOU ARE HAVING FLOORING INSTALLED... The price to measure and to buy the flooring was a little expensive, but not bad. The salesman in the store and the installers were very nice. The problem is that your floor will not be level at your house - I GUARANTEE IT. Heres what happens...1. You order and pay a lot of money.2. You get excited as the install date approaches.3. The materials are delivered.4. Very soon after delivery, the carpet is ripped up and the installers inform you what they inform everybody. Your floor is not level. Our installers, who again were very nice, said that they have never seen a level floor. Surprised? We were too.5. Next, you get an option. They will leave your house after grabbing their tools and leave your bare floor exposed, or you can pay to get the floor leveled. This means that they charge you (in our case $700 for five bags of leveling cement) to level your floor for installation. This was after we paid $2300 for the materials and labor. This is a scam. Dont let them install the flooring. Again, according to the installers, no floor is level. 5 bags wasnt a lot. They put on 17 bags at another place, they said. Home depot will not allow them to just go ahead and install on an unlevel floor, so you WILL pay a LOT more than you anticipate.Hope this helps.
Having difficulty measuring for 13 steps cut to a 28 runner, bounded on both side and a small landing was a challenge for this carpet department. The store sent out a person to measure the area who stated he only can take measures and would not listen to what we were looking to accomplish. I was told to take it up with the store. After two trips to talk about the email quote, and having 2 measure appointments, I really thought we resolved the issue of how much carpet was needed. Well, we had a 7x 10 area rug left over. Why so much? Its crazy we had to pay for so much waste. The installers did a nice job of installing the runner in the style requested, hollywood. They were very kind and on time. When I went to the store to ask why so much waste, I was told thats just how it had to be. When I asked about leftover padding, I was told you have to ask for it. Why? I paid for it. It should be delivered tomorrow. Try a real carpet company next time. NOT worth the hassle.
Ill drive to the one in Strongsville employees are very rude and unwilling to help asked them for a specific item said they did have it truth was he was just to lazy to help. Walked in one day about 20 min to the store closing to grab a paint brush while I was over in the paint aisle I heard a guy at the front desk said this mother f***** better hurry up really what kind of people are you hiring now I used to go there three times a week now I try my hardest not to very sad homedepot
Just left Home Depot in Brooklyn. We are a contracting company that does professional power washing and sealing and had a major equipment breakdown on our unit on the way to our second job of the day. Had a major PVC pipe repair that was needed. I am not good with PVC and the gentleman who was helping me, assistant manager Robert saved the day and our job. He not only found all the parts we needed but did the repair for us in the parking lot and on top of that he took care of the bill because he saw how much of a rush we were in. I have never received this quality of service from a store before. Robert really save the day, thanks!
We needed a propane tank exchanged. They said someone would be out. 10 mins later I walked in and asked for someone to come out and no one did. We waited 20 minutes before I went and asked for a refund and when I got back to the car, no one had still come out. Which by now...was 30 mins we had waited

2021-10-06In the washer and dryer section great attentive customer service. She even made a call to see if any new promotions were available. Sitting at a desk she got up and showed different washer and dryers and compared all with the different settings as well as prices. I was so impressed with the service provided. I watched her interact with other customers walking by with questions and she remained pleasant and gave directions to them. Very experienced and professional.

2022-06-17Found the staff to be very helpful as they loaded the decorative gravel onto the dolly for me. The check out lady was also very helpful and informative as well as she pressed me for the military ID I didnt even realize I had in my wallet, thereby saving me $30 on my purchase! Highly recommended!

2022-05-26Came here to pickup mulch, it was a little confusing and weird. They had me pull to the side of the store but there was semis in the way so I had to wait and then drive around obstacles until I saw the guy. The employee was very nice though, although a little weird as well, seemed like him and another worker had gotten into a fight or something and were still talking about that as he was helping me

2022-05-05The General Manager (Leah) at this location is one of the single most generous human beings I’ve encountered. She is not only a rockstar in my mind, she genuinely understands the importance of outstanding customer service as well as priding herself with a level of professionalism, care, concern and follow-through every customer desires and deserves. On a recent trip to Florida, my husband neglected to provide our house-sitter with the proper set of keys to enter our home. With new locks recently installed, our poor dog would have no way of being relieved over several days. It was an utter nightmare to consider the strife our dog would endure and the condition of our home, upon return. From a spark of invention in my mind and a lot of patience from the lovely staff at Home Depot of Cleveland, as well as Orlando, we were able to align on taking action in solving this trick of a unfortunate situation. With major assistance from Leah, she was able to confirm the ability and technology to trace a key in one location and create it physically at another, was possible! With endless assistance from Leah (in Ohio), my home key was traced in Florida and physically manufactured in Cleveland! Our house-sitter was able to pick-up the new keys in less than 15-minutes and we were able to enjoy the entirety of our trip! I cannot begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for Leah and her team. It is my sincerest hope that Home Depot corporate is made aware of this review and provides the level of recognition and kudos this team deserves! Thank you again Leah, you are a rockstar!

2022-04-24Stopped in Home Depot in the late evening. In the aisle where the insect and rodent repellents are were two large mice running around. Shocked to see them in that particular aisle, but even more shocked to find out from an employee that the mice are everywhere in the store and do run around the whole store especially in the evening. There are snack items on display at the checkouts. Large mice running between customer’s feet at those checkouts and feasting on very reachable food items all night long after store-closing is a concern, a Department of Health concern in my opinion. This is one of my favorite stores. I need to know that someone in upper-level management is getting the mice infestation under control.

2022-05-09They always seem to have everything i look for. I needed a simple air filter for a lawn mower. Found it ! Always in the logical places also. Right in the department where they sell the mowers, not in the garden department!

2022-05-09They got most of the stuff that builders and plumbers want but good luck finding an employee to help you with something and if you do there are a ton of customers lined up that need help waiting on that one employee. The wait time is terrible.
