The Home Depot in other cities:
Always in and out never find a salesperson when you need one and how do you work in a department but have no experience with the product asked a guy which flowers needed more sun or shade he was just like maam I really dont know anything about plants and stay yet he is in the garden dept lol
First time ever shopping here today as I have just moved to the area. Asked an employee if the store sells live fishing bait and he rudely muttered “Noo” like I was some sort of idiot for asking that. I know that not everywhere sells live bait but I figured that since home depot sells fishing gear, it wouldn’t be completely out of left field to ask. Walmart right across the road does, but they were out. Anyway, L employee fr 👎🏼
I needed a gallon of house washing soap.Went inside only to find the isle I need is blocked by a gate at each end. There is a fork lift sitting in the isle not being used also no workers in site. Its not the first time this has happened. Other than that, its a good place to shop.
Hey, its a Home Depot so you know what youll get.BUT, there is one person which makes this the go-to place for me, Sam the customer service supervisor. She is in my top 3 of customer service people ever, always calm, competent, and helpful. I was there for a problem with my tile shipment and she went above and beyond to solve the issue, even while madness happened around her (crazy people yelling questions, curbside pick-up, directing coworkers to their spots, all while on the computer working 3 different systems for me). These days, its so important to feel in good hands when you have an issue you cant solve yourself and Sam does exactly that. As long as shes there, I will always be a loyal customer. Who ever made her the supervisor did a great job because she does an even better one!
I like shopping at Home Depot. There are very attentive to your needs. If you have any questions, the attendants are open to helping you depending on the job you need. I had to buy more paint. As long as I had my paint code, which is located on every container. The attendants were able to repeat the process. This only took me 10 minutes of wait time when they are not busy.
Was trying to order a door from home depot ($2,000).They sent someone out to measure the doorway the door was to be installed in...First time it was ordered it was canceled by someone at the store, we found out when we called to check on it..Covid came, they ordered the door again...Over a year later we finally got the door! Its to big and wont fit...Now as I speak we are waiting for them to come get it..Anytime in between 8 am and 8 pm apparently its the best they can do for giving us a time they can pick it up...Good thing we dont want to do ANYTHING ON A SATURDAY! Well we cant say they were late picking it back up..Another surprise, we just got charged $75 deposit on the installation that cant and isnt happening...Best yet we have been making payments on it for 3 months now..Highly recommend going anywhere else..
I unknowingly waited on a discontinued item from here for months. When I finally became aware that I wasnt receiving my item due to this unfortunate circumstance of it being DISCONTINUED, I requested my money back and had to wait over a week to be able to obtain my own money. Not cool, I missed out on good deals at other locations since they had to take so long to return my money. No compensation either. Not cool. So very disappointed in this place now. Im not sure I ever want to shop there again.
Very straightforward very helpful staff. Very informative and helpful staff, very kind and patient. If you explain to them exactly what you need or at least describe what you need they will point you into the direction that you need to go. If youre trying to get any sorts of home improvement project they are the way to go.
Today like the other four times I arranged for curbside pickup was a disaster. I received a text that my order was ready, I arrived at the store, call them, waited and waited on hold over 5 minutes until I finally walked in, only to find out that my order was in fact not ready. Not only was it not ready, they couldnt find it. The girl at the customer service desk couldnt be nicer but still- if they tell me my orders ready dont make me wait. That is why I ordered and paid online and arranged to stop by and have somebody load it in my car. This happens every single time. Maybe Ill have better luck with Lowes.
I dont know why staffs are making so much noise and they are pretty much useless. If you want to buy something here, research beforehand and dont bother asking questions because simply they cant answer. Most of them dont know anything about DIY and when you ask questions, they have no ability to answer. Make them quiet so that customers can focus on their projects in mind.
Helpful employees here that are semi knowledgeable. I cant really complain the lines are fast and I can usually find everything I need. I did have one issue with making an online order and they didnt have it ready that day but it was the holiday season so they were super busy. Also they dont have a huge selection of speaker wire which is odd.
Received a text that a grill I ordered and asked to have assembled was ready to pick up. Went in to get it, not assembled. So I left, got the same text the next day. I wanted to call and confirm that it was actually ready before making a trip again. Waited on hold for about 20 minutes until I eventually got a hold of someone. They put me on hold again to check the status. 30 minutes later while still on hold, they just hung up. Called in again and someone else did the exact same thing! I would avoid this place like the plague if it wasnt the closest option.
Terrible customer service and lied to by their assistant manager. I ordered outdoor furniture to be shipped to this location. Once the order arrived at the store I received an email from HD that my order was ready for pick up. Before I went to pick up the order I received an email that my order was picked up already (clearly a mistake). So I went to the store to try and pick up my order. They said my order never arrived and I was refunded (which I was not). It took a week for the assistant manager Jessica to get back to me and she could not help me. Ultimately she refunded me by gift card not even cash and I never received my order.
I am a fan of Home Depot. I got a kick out of the employees in this location. I was looking for 4 cycle motor oil. I approached a group of 4 employees that immediately asked if they could help. One young man gave it some thought and told me the aisle number. Then counted the sections and said It will be 4 down on the right side. The repeated it for me a couple of times. The aisle number was quite high so I turned and looked south and the numbers where way to low. I spun around to see behind me and as I looked to check the signs one of the employees toward the back of the group started pointing south for me. I turned again and realized there was a group of aisles that ran east and west just after then the north and south aisle stopped. I had no problem finding the oil (just what I needed) right where he said it would be. Perfect. I found helpful employees that knew exactly where what I wanted was.
Not a bad place at all, They have constant sales of the every day things people need (and dont need).. Also good to know that They are still dog friendly, I walked in and saw 2 horses..Oops I mean Great Danes, I kept thinking if one of those 2 blew a gasser or laid a pile in the store they would need to evacuated the place.. I was shopping for gutter replacement pieces, awesome prices..and the size I needed..my only conundrum was how in the hell am I gonna transport a 16 gutter on a car 8 long..For that matter on any car.. Any way I got to go my Pizza is ready at Edisons.
Store is generally organized just like other home depot stores. Staff is always generally friendly asking if there is anything I need help finding or just simply saying hello. Ive been doing all my home improvement shopping here and I would for sure say that this home depot is more shopper friendly than the menards nearby (its like a preppy k mart with a bunch of offbrands no ones ever heard of). This place has anything youd really need for purchase or rent.
Got an email saying the items I ordered were ready to pick up. When I got there I got massive attitude from customer service saying that I was wrong and that it wouldnt be ready to be picked up until the next day all while her screen said pickup today absolutely horrible store. I will never come back here.
Replacing fluorescent tubes with LEDs was made easy with their product selection. They stock an LED tube that has the same dimensions as a fluorescent tube and its plug-and-play style. Just in case, there are printed instructions on the package. I didnt need any help finding the plug-and-play LED tubes either.
This is my go to place for all my home projects. Really love the ship to store option when shopping online. Very convenient, and usually Im able to get in and out fairly quickly when Im picking up my online order. The staff is always pleasant, and helpful when I have questions.
This place is humongous! Didnt like how the line was set up for paying for ur items. The cashier was rude nd to loud, it was too much! Some got agitated nd walked away without paying for their merchandise. Didnt care for the whole expierence at all. Dis was my first time visiting dis store.
Actually, no stars!!! Made purchase. Went home and double check receipt to gift cards, to throw away the used up one. Gift cards NUMBERS DO NOT MATCH!!! WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO STEAL MY MONEY!!! Called the store; he said something of he DOESNT DO GIFT CARD AND HUNG UP!!!
Lee , one of the store associates at the Home Depot located at Steelyard was very helpful. We had some bar stools that were too high and he spent his time helping us figure out how to correct the height. He was very patient with us and also very creative. Our project turned out perfect thanks to him.
I dont like the whole self check out thing, because i can never figure out how to work the machine... Other than that i have GREAT experiences here, the staff are friendly and helpful and always help me find what im looking for. Recently, I went in to get some keys made for my landlady, and they did it for me in no time! I love the little selection of plants and fertilizers they have too!
Staff extremely friendly. I was asked if I needed help 3 time before I reached the first item on my list. Maybe the staff should stop walking around talking to patrons and start stocking shelves. Most of the items I went in for was out of stock. In fact 6 out of 10 items were missing. The items I did find were typically not in their correct spot. This store is a disheveled mess, but not near as bad as the nearby wal-mart. Seems like all the stores in this area have trouble maintaining an orderly, stocked facility.
I went online and signed up for a tile class at 10am on Saturday . When my friend and I get there they told us the class was cancelled because nobody signed up.I guess my confirmation email didnt mean anything. Plus the one person who could teach the class called off from work. Great !!!
Took me 45 Minutes of holding and calling back to attempt to place an order for 138 bundles of shingles. Finally 2 hours later I get a call and email with my order completely wrong and then I was told I needed all the sku #s again. What is wrong with the customer service? Took my order elsewhere. Forget Home Depot... Menards will put you under soon!!!
Had an issue with a rental truck, Luis was assisting in the end, the whole transaction had to be refunded. This guy takes no time to listen to customer. Very condescending and cuts the customer off. When I asked for a detailed breakdown of my charges, he wouldnt provide. Went back into store 40 minutes later to speak with the store manager, and my personal information is on the counter for the public to see (rental contract with name, Id number, insurance company and policy number), just sitting out on the counter with customers seeing it. Thank you for protecting my personal information Home Depot.
Went to Steelyard HD yesterday. I was very upset and disappointed. I counted 10 employees just while I was checking out not wearing masks. They all had them under their chins. Ive been to other HD stores and people were making efforts to distance and wear masks. This store doesnt seem to be showing concern for their customers or coworkers.
I have been using this store regularly for the last year. They always have what I expect and their prices are competitive. I love their mobile, I can search for a product and it tells me not only which aisle to look for it in but where in the aisle it will be. What a great time saver.
They are the most helpful HomeDepot I have been to. When I was building a cage for my lizard, I had to go to multiple stores and they gave me the run around. Always telling me that they are out of stock, trying to get me to buy the more expensive materials, etc. Not this one. They told me which material to use, gave me choices for the expensive and cheap stuff as well. The guys in the lumber cutting section, they are life savers!!!
I mean its home Depot. You buy things for your projects. Whats there to say? Oh, here is something. This place is full of useless individuals who for the most part know nothing about home improvement or the products they carry. Its like hiring a gardener to work in a surf shop. Completely out of their element. Its even a task to find a worker to disappoint you with their endless knowledge. Why would.one seek these geniuses out you might ask? Well, considering the shelves are all out of order because they hate doing their job and you have no idea where the product might be. Its like when you go to the library to find a book and the system says its there but its no where to be found... They will stock entire shelves with the wrong product. Thats the steelyard for you.
We always go here for all our home needs, I but my household cleaners and laundry soap here because the prices are decent and the products are bigger and last longer, I always find good deals here and they always have what I need, Plus theres always a good sale going on and the staff is pretty helpful, Ive gotten a few that didnt have a clue but overall theyre pretty knowledgeable here at this store
My boyfriend and I have just bought a home not far from the store and lets just say its a huge help. Not only can we run there for whatever we need and be helped with just about anything but hello lol when your plumbing is being worked on and there is no bathroom this place is just a stop you have to go to. I would rather run here than go to any of the nasty fast food places. The workers are all helpful and their prices are not bad at all.
Home Depot has changed dramatically, look at some of its internet reviews? They sold me discontinued floor tiles and had no signs posted that made the customers aware of it. Then had none left when I need a few more tiles and refused to call me to rectify the problem. When we dont hold these stores accountable they continue to do business with horrible customer service.
This is the worst Home Depot ever. Nobody in their departments has a clue of what they’re doing. You can stand at the custom door counter and nobody will acknowledge you. You’re forced to drive to a different location in order to get good help. I purposely drive to Parma to avoid this garbage store.
I went to the store to buy some L brackets and 3 pieces of wood to make acouple of shelves. I wanted inexpensive wood for the shelfs. I picked wood that was alittle over two dollars a piece. I wanted the wood cut in half so each piece would give me 2 3ft pieces. The fellow who worked there said, the wood was pressure treated. I asked if that mattered as I just wanted it to make some shelves. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I thought the employees were supposed to assist the customers. I guess not.
This store is not very helpful i have gone here at lease a dozen times it close to my work an its work i get the things I need but never can u find help some of the woman at the check out are rude this is the last time i will go to this place i told my boss i wil drive to Macedonia home depot there u get help an there not rude..stay away from steelyard store.
The Steelyard location is the worst Home Depot in the area. We went there to shop for tiles. The selection was very limited. When we went to checkout, the only lines that were open where the self-checkouts. All four machines were open, but there were long lines and one employee manning a very slow computer to help everyone. The pro desk was open, but there was a huge line for that as well.
I love this store! Whomever does the hiring deserves an award! From Raymond, Missy, Kevion, Cary, Chanel and countless other employees who went above and beyond for little ole me. I am always improving something or need outdoor lights & pest control. Kevion cut drywall & wood for me perfectly. He even made sure my items reached and properly fit onto my vehicle. Raymond gave me great recommendations taking me multiple locations showing options. Missy and Chanel are usually there with their beautiful personalities. Carie is always helpful and polite even though I thought she had moved into the store😊. Those are the 5 that stood out over the few years Ive been going.Probably got some names wrong and sure spellings are way off. This store is wonderful and I go here versus Maple Heights store which gives the opposite experience.
Misogynistic - my sister, fiancé (man), and I went to get lumber. A sales associate watched without comment as the man got lumber down, when my sister went to grab lumber he barked, loudly and abrasively, No! thats what Im here for. Then proceeded to hand the lumber over my sisters head to the man, then when my sister went to take a board, he again barked No! not you. She asked Im not allowed to even help? No!She left, furious-which I agree with- you CANNOT disallow someone from doing something based solely on what (gender, race, religion) they are. There is a name for that. You cannot pretend you are helping a lady by yelling at her. When I told the sales associate that we was incredibly rude, he was bewildered what? I dont like to see a lady carry lumber.Train your people Home Depot! There are tons of women that work in construction now, and that attitude is not acceptable.
This home depot is quite big and usually you could find what you need but please when it comes to look for help and I mean employees that really have at least a little bit of knowledge be careful to whom you really asking the questions some dont have any clue of what you are asking or any idea of what you need..this why im giving a 4 stars , the store is ok clean and organized not our favorite home depot at all.. just only if we are in the neighborhood and need to something is fine.
I have been in the construction field and industry for over 20yrs steelyard home Depot is the most run down dirty store I have ever stepped foot in . The employees are young , rude, insulting, unhelpful. Going to this home Depot will be a total wast of your time and money. Be warned this is with out a dought the worse home Depot I have ever stepped in . This store should be closed. After today I will instruct all of my employees if they spend my company money in this store they will be terminated from employment with my company. I would encourage everyone to just save yourself time, money and sanity and just go to west 117th and Berea Rd home Depot where you will be treated right.......
If I can take out the star I would females on the phone , I asked one of the men who was so called busy but was just talking to a lady friend gossiping about other people from their neighborhood when he finally helped me just showed me some screws when I was looking for cam connectors with the lady following him waiting for him to get done with me so they can finish talking and then I went to someone else for some plywood that took about an hour and a half cause all the girls were busy playing around with the male workers and none of them wanted to help total of about 2 hours in there wasted time so I just left to lowes. Lowes is better soon as I walked in was greeted at the door and help right away took 20 min to get what I needed
Worst customer service ever!!!! My boyfriend was trying to find a product to which he was told from another Home Depot location that Steelyard had. For an HOUR he was on the phone trying to talk to someone, 10 minutes of that time he talked to an employee the rest he was on hold, then hung up on!!! At 8:30pm the employees are not busy assisting other callers there is no reason for such a bullsh*t customer service, will never give you my business, but not like you guys care anyways.
The Greeter Does Too Many Assumptions With Age Referring To Grown Women As A Young Girl, Its Disrespectful. If You Dont Know How To Address Above Someone, Just Simply Say Hello,Welcome Or Thank You For Choosing Home Depot Can I Help Assist Or Locate Anything? Straight To the Point.
Its just like any other steelyard store. Ask someone where something is, and youll get a shrug, a stare, or an annoyed point to a general direction. Oh and if youre a veteran, good luck with the veterans parking. Its usually filled with carts the employees dont care to move.

2022-05-30Daniel V. in hot water tank area was the most helpful rep we’ve ever encountered at Home Depot. He was thorough and explaining the different options of the hot water tanks and assisted us with purchasing the last one in stock for the day. He answered all her questions and was extremely helpful and took his time in making sure we understood everything. You don’t find customer service like this anymore and I’m so thankful that he was there to help us.

2022-05-08It has everything that youd expect a huge hardware store to have EXCEPT helpful staff. I love nearby and have been here multiple times - I find that many of their employees pass off shoppers like hot potatoes to a few extremely helpful staff. Those extremely helpful staff are always helping others so you have to wait for help while the rest of the team does anything but help shoppers. Honestly, it seems really unfair to the employees who are working hard to do the right thing. If you know what you need/want then I am not sure why you arent shopping online where it is cheaper...but if your preference is to not have stuff shipped to you and you dont need help, then this is the store for you! But if you want someone to help you out, check out another hardware store, plan on waiting in line for help, or hope that no other customers need help when you visit.

2022-07-06I placed an order online for several things, went to pick up curbside. The person loaded my car and I assumed I had everything. Well, when I decided to build my garden I was missing 2 items. Im a caregiver for my 88 year old Mom so making calls in the morning is best for me, however, I tried several times to call the store and let them know my order was short to no avail. No one picked up! Unfortunately, time passed and it was over 2 weeks but finally I spoke with a young lady. I explained my situation only to have her come back to say there was nothing they could do because it was over 2 weeks. Whattt, what? I am due the item I am missing or a refund but the manager Robert told the young lady I waited too long. Stay tuned.... Ok, so I owe steelyard an apology.😏 Apparently, someone put my 35 dollar package in the raised garden. It was still in a delivery bag so when I spotted it, and opened it I was surprised to see my order.😲 Im happy now, so please forgive me and enjoy shopping at home Depot in steelyard🤗🤗🤗

2022-04-03The place is ok for your everyday hardware shopping. Every so often an associate offers help but most of the time they just ignore you because I guess they are doing their job. Dont go there as much as I used to but things havent changed much.

2022-06-21Went in with my daddy to get what he needed to finish a job, and they was helpful and courteous. I couldnt find the sand bags I needed tho but he found everything he needed.
