Not a bad place if your looking for stuff needed to fix things. When I went I needed a thing to fix some stuff I had broken. Guess what? They had the right part for the job. So I got my stuff fixed, and my woman was happy. Wanna make your woman happy? Go get things to fix stuff at the home depot.
I am in this store weekly, and am so disappointed with how I was treated for a return. A return with a receipt for a faulty product. When asked to speak to a manager Bob was so unprofessional! His body language was rude and his attitude was completely APATHETIC. Needless to say he did not help at all. So surprised he was a manager. Obviously I will be back since it is my only option for hardware locally. Just really disappointed with the treatment.
You have to love being able to visit 3 different stores in your area online. I was looking for treated wood step stringers. Each store online tells you if it is in stock and how many are in stock.So I was able to go to the Ashtabula Home Depot and purchase my stringers, and as you know you have to sift through lumber to get a good product.
The Home Depot in Chardon is very nice. I recognize many of the same people in their various roles of specialty over the last seven years since moving to this area. I really like their rack for lumber to be culled which is 70% off retail price. You can also get a transponder key programmed for approximately $70.00...Dealership Price $125-200.
Had to literally walk a mile to get something from garden center and then to front checkout. They were too short staffed to have someone man the garden register but 3 checkout girls standing around talking at front register. And they wonder why no one likes to shop there!?!?!
The worst experience of online ordering that I have ever experienced! Order a tent-like shed in which I used a $500 gift card and the other $119 on a card.....order canceled and I reordered, after a week longer than promised I went to the store to pick up a 1,000 pound 110 piece box. Took 4 people to get out of truck and 4 hours to unpack all the pieces. It was the wrong product from the wrong manufacturer....heavy and many pieces. Called,, they will only refund with gift card after I return the product,really, completely horrible experience and I willnever shop there again
My kids bought a Christmas tree but didnt check to make sure they had the receipt which is needed to activate the warranty they purchased. I called and Mary went above and beyond to track down the receipt from days ago, arrange for me to get it, and then followed up with me to ensure I had what I needed! She was incredibly pleasant and helpful, she never made me feel like I was troubling her. What an an asset to Home Depot - I rarely see that caliber of customer service anymore, she is exceptional.
Great place to get all your tools and stuff but someone doesnt know how to take care of the plants. They over water the plants and some are looking dead. They still want full price for them Not Lowes they will reduce the price of the plant when they begin to look unhealthy. Home Depot please take note of how Lowes treats there plants. Our hubbys may shop there but the plants our what women like.
Its 2021. Were 18+ months into a global pandemic. Its still not possible to make a mobile payment (via phone) at Home Despot.I will not shop where I cannot make a contactless payment.I handed my items to the useless person babysitting the self checkout, then only option for checkout, and left.Additionally, the employees were either talking amongst themselves, standing in the entrance, or not being helpful at the registers.I went to Menards, where I can pay with my phone, and found the same item for about 25% less. I also get 11% back in a rebate from Menards.Just say, NO! to Home Despot.
Went and got me a new freezer. The employee was very informative for not working there that long. But I have a new freezer coming. Everyone is getting one now glad he encouraged me to get it. Thanks Home Depot. And the employee who helped me. Will add photo when it is delivered.
Absolutely hated making an appointment for an estimate for carpet installation!!!!! Charged me 35.00 and was a nightmare to even get it scheduled! I had called Empire and it took 3 minutes and was free and they are coming exactly when I asked! Home Depot is a nightmare beyond words! Wish I hadnt even given them a call, also we were going to buy all new appliances with Home Depot and re thinking that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a pretty solid home Depot for whayever you need. I usually end up coming to this home Depot once Ive gone to another home Depot that didnt have what I needed. The guys back at the saw get stuff done right the first time and you dont usually have to cut stuff again. This is the go-to home Depot for whatever I need.
Fairly wide selection and competitive price. Staff is not always as knowledgeable about items or item locations as I would like, but they make an effort. They usually have what I need with convenient hours; thats what counts. They also offer online order-store pickup for the oddball stuff.
Dont do the buy online and pickup in store! Waited patiently 10 minutes only to get rude service and more waiting 🙄 They are not staffed appropriately for this service. Several restock employees were walking by but no one to help with the pickup. Great concept though.Update: So I tried it again because shopping in store always results in extra things like chocolate bars or junky toys... and they got much better. Now they have a locker in the front for smaller items and you can get your order without any assistance. Just enter a code and go!! Plus they gave my son some free promo balloons. Great experience.
I purchased a Tuff Shed through this Home Depot as well as opened a Home Depot credit account. Valerie and Kurt were at the customer service desk and helped me every step of the way. Every question was answered and they made me feel like a valued customer. Definitely one of the better Home Depot locations.
Of the staff I talked to, they where able to answer most of my questions and point me in the right direction to find the products that I needed. They could be a little more friendly and ask you if you needed help with something. Other than that is was a good experience.
Walked around for a total of 40 minutes trying to find someone that could unlock the cage so I could get a tool and the one kid that finally could had a hard time with the lock and couldnt take the security device off 4 that were tied together. Ended up leaving because so I wouldnt be late for work
Employees are always super nice, the store immaculate, and their Covid-19 precautions make me feel safe enough to shop! They always have what I need, and they are knowledgable and helpful when I need help either finding something or trying to figure out what is I need for my project. I highly recommend the Chardon Home Depot!
Rude workers at this Home Depot, not helpful, do not know anything about customer service. Out of all the Home Depots I have ever been to this one is absolutely the worst and the customers here are no better. Very entitled, snooty, impatient and the staff do a poor job of explaining process of installation in their department. Does this location hire trade experienced associates? Then again, if associates come from the same customer base, that explains everything.
Ordered a dishwasher from Home Depot. They don’t stock appliances in the store any longer so I had to wait 10 days before dishwasher could be delivered. Dishwasher was delivered severely damaged. I called Home Depot and was told there is nothing they can do it would be another 7-10 days before a new dishwasher could be delivered. Was given the run around and offered very little for the inconvenience. Ultimately I canceled the ordered and bought the dishwasher at Lowe’s with out any issue. Home Depot has definitely lost my appliance business from here on out
Should probably get another person working at pro checkout if the only guy working there sits in front of the computer off to the side and is on the phone (assuming with a customer). 28 minutes later and Im finally leaving with items I purchased online. No problems at any other location.
They outsourced a carpet job to some idiots who were rude, refused to do the work in the time frame given to us and when they finally finished installing our carpet, left razor blades on the carpet in our kids room where they proceeded to cut their hands. When we asked to speak to corporate they gave us the runaround and never did anything about it. Luckily my kids didnt have more serious injuries or one of our dogs didnt swallow it and die, but I expected some kind of formal apology and compensation. Huge disappointment with the way they treated us. They should care about our safety. I like the store contents, but be wary about their installation company choices.
My favorite past time is watching home improvement shows. Anything show that has a sledge hammer knocking down walls is pure good. Finally I decided to get off of my sofa and live the reality myself. I went to Home Depot and made a kitchen renovation plan with Tom at Home Depot. I got my own sledge Hammer and distroyed the kitchen of yesterday to create my kitchen of the future. Home Depot made my dream a reality.
I called Home Depot to ask about an item they had listed. I was informed that the item is only available on their website and I could pick it up on the Store. If Im going to the damn store any way, why in the Hell cant I just buy it from the store to begin with?This is ridiculous.
Do not ever buy an appliance from this place! Once they get your money they have not a care in the world if you get your product. Ive been getting the runaround from a delivery company for over a month and a half and still have not received my fridgerator. Buyer beware. The Home Depot has done nothing to help my situation
The part I was looking for was in stock it was a three-way Cube for an electrical outlet to split it aint you three Outlets to go in a 3-way Gang Box so I was very pleased about that and the salesperson or electrical Personnel were very helpful with my problem solving
I spent quite a bit of $ there this spring. I called the paint department with a question. The paint they tinted was lighter than it should have been and I asked if they could add a little more dye. The lady said Im Paint Pro! You cant add more color than what the chart says!! I called back and asked to speak with the manager. Don picked up the call. I explained what happened and mentioned the attitude of the the employee. Instead of addressing the employee problem he said Well just come in later in the day. Then you wont have to talk with her . Great Management Skills there ol Donny Boy! (Not). 👎👎 I will be shop at Lowes instead.
Went to depot to get a pressure tank they had the tank and none of the assembly parts to put it together . Why wld u sale the pressure tank and not the parts u need to put it together ?? The associate had no clue why they dont have the parts we cldnt even find parts to try and rigg it together I will not be common bk to this home Depot in Chardon.
Unbelievable that a home depot would not carry FLOORING STAPLES! HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE A RENTAL DEPARTMENT AND ALL THE MATERIALS ASSOCIATED WITH MY TRADE?. How is it possible that you dont have a rental department like every other home depot?. Drive an hour out of my way!
I dont know if you have had the pleasure of the bone jarring speed bumps that have been installed in the Home Depot parking lot. My bad back and joints shudder every time we have to go over them. No one is concerned about the effects that these barriers have on the elderly and handicapped! Not to mention the wear and tear on our vehicles! I be shopping at the competition until they remove those bone jarring speed bumps!
Their motorized wheelchairs are a joke. The one I had kept coming to a sudden stop and every time you went around a corner it stopped. The isles were blocked by stuff so I couldnt even get to what I wanted. I told the woman at the check out about the cart and she looked at me like I was stupid.

2022-01-07I enjoy shopping at the Home Depot for the various handful of reasons partly due to the fact that almost half of my house was built with Home Depot product and the other half built with Lowes and other retail places so any time something needs done that is a Home Depot originated project I find myself having and enjoying coming to the store and doing the shopping I need to. While I always enjoy having help from associate its also nice to sometimes its his shop and be in your own little world and get the enjoy checking things out and seeing the new stuff you know Home Improvement is always changing and new things come out daily and thats a big thing I enjoy doing is coming in and seeing all the new stuff that constantly evolving and getting better. Plus the staff is always friendly and courteous Ive never had a bad experience here.

2022-06-11Arrived to store with less then a half hr until closing and in the middle of urgent project. Needed items, advice and ordering details in a specialty section. Staff wasnt available but store manager was right there and provided everything needed. I was out of there before the store closed. You can buy duct tape anywhere but people make the difference. Highly recommend.

2022-05-28So nice. A guy helped me to lift 2 40 lb. Bags of topsoil into my cart. Another guy helped me load the bags into my car. The checkout lady was so sweet. The plants looked fresh and cared for.

2022-02-18Was an avid home depot customer. Went there 3-5 times a week. I’m a local business owner so I used them for everything! My last order was a DISASTER!! Ordered 100ft vinyl fence with the pro desk, every aspect of this project Home Depot made things difficult!! I was told delivery would happen multiple times (different days) and they never showed up. I had to have someone present every time and they would still not show. The product I received was WRONG!! I had hired helpers to install the fence, I had to pay them, even though Home Depot sent me the wrong things. I called over ten different times. The manager Bob at the Home Depot in Chardon store was full of lies, and broken promises!!!!! He did nothing but make the situation worse!! He blamed the “system”. He kept telling me he would loon into and call me back. Not once did he ever call me back! I gave Home Depot a second chance after this incident, and they dropped the ball AGAIN. I’m done. I’ll find somewhere else to shop.

2022-02-17Terrible customer service from management. Spent 40 minutes going over basically every drill in the store, finally settled on a Makita that was a special buy. The employee suggested I purchased that one, that it was a great buy. Didnt ring up properly at the register, then the manager says its actually the original price, no discount. Go back to the display after she argued with me and sure enough, the sign was right there. They then proceeded to remove the sign while they argued even more.Will never spend my money here again, I drove straight home and grabbed the $300 toolbox I bought a couple days ago and returned it.

2022-05-16Long story short ...Home Depot.com sent me all the wrong product.Was supposed to get 5) 5 gallon pals of special paint that the stores do not stock. They sent 5) 5 gallon pals of paint hardener! Not happy!Adam at Chardon Home Depot was awesome in helping me fix the problem by tinting the paint he had there and upgrading me into better paint to get what I needed to finish my project. A real big deal because I had equipment rented and workers at the ready!!Thank you to one of the Store Managers Adam!!
