The Home Depot in other cities:
This is our second time having horrible issues with Home Depot’s delivery and installation. We ordered, from a different store (Rossford, OH), a set of all new kitchen appliances (fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher) which included free delivery. The delivery people did absolutely everything in their power to not install a single appliance. They came up with every excuse in the book as to why they could only install the microwave.Today we ordered a new dishwasher from the Canton, OH store and paid for haul away of our old dishwasher. We were told they ‘couldn’t’ install the new one because the water shut off valve is in our basement and it’s a ‘liability’ for them to walk down a flight of stairs. However, the delivery people who spoke very little English, no dig to them but it made communicating this issue very difficult, told me that they could not haul away the old dishwasher unless it was sitting on our front porch. I explained that we paid for that service and the paper work we were given said the old dishwasher simply had to be unplugged but they just told me to call customer service. Again, nothing against the delivery people they are just doing their job, but I can’t understand why it is so hard for Home Depot to clearly communicate with buyers and installation/delivery workers what is supposed to happen.
This is the second time I went to buy valves to put under my sink and for the toilet. Both times I bought 3 valves and someone in their infinite wisdom, put the wrong valve in the box. So I get all the way home and have the water off ready to replace all 3 and one is the wrong size. If you do not know, please do not put them in the package. Just leave on the self and hopefully a knowledgeable associate will put them away. And it does not even have all the parts in the box
Gun over scanned and made an extra ring in self check out. Attendant didn’t even ask what we need was needed , was more damn well worried about shooing us 7 away from the kiosk( she didn’t do this to anyone else), snd started double ringing out order. Then shoo shoo when we stepped in to tell her she was messing it up. Never had an attendant act like that, twice as far away as we would be at the counter while she messed up our order, shoulda just walked out.
I went to Lowe’s to get an in-line lint trap for my dryer exhaust duct and they didn’t have any available. Not that they were sold out, they literally don’t sell them. Home Depot sells two kinds. One of which is available in stores and another one online only. I looked up the product I wanted online and told the store search engine which location I was heading to and it told me that there was one available and what isle it was in and what bay it was in as well. Once I found the item I was looking for I was done and out the door. It’s really convenient to search specific items on their website and then go right where the item is on the shelf. I most definitely recommend this Home Depot location and will certainly check the website of each store next time instead of wasting a trip to one then heading to the other. I hope this review helps someone out😇
Purchased a new Ramset TriggerShot Concrete nailer for use in putting up the frames for my basement finishing job.It seems that the tool has been on the shelf for a while due to the dust that was on the package when I grabbed it from the shelf. I cant wait to try it out for the first time. Thank you Home Depot, you always have everything I need to get for the jobs that come my way in my house.
Worst customer service. Went to buy a snowblower a month ago and the employee was incredibly rude. Same thing today when we went to buy a deck box. Went over to Lowes instead and they were very helpful and courteous. Home Depot needs to get a handle on their employees attitudes.
I go here alot as a contractor, lines are normally pretty quick at the contractor side checkouts. If busier than usual I can check out at pro desk.self checkouts always seem to have someone there to scan your items anyways! Employee s do tend to not ask to help and walk right by,when Im loading drywall or hardi backer boards.Plumbing guys always on top of their section and quick to help! This a very busy store
Doing extensive remodeling. Greg Sausman our sales person. Is outstanding and knowledgeable about the kitchen remodeling, provided a template of how many cabinets we needed, the type of counter tops available. Was available for appointments anytime we needed to go into the store. Has won awards for kitchen design. Really cares about his customers. Recommend him if youre looking to remodel the kitchen or bathroom which we are doing both. Kudos to Greg your one if the best salesman that we have ever had dealings with.
Home Depot is the worst at customer service. They have a real laid back passive demeanor when it comes to rectifying a situation. They like to have pow wows to figure out how they are going to help a customer get the merchandise they paid for but seem to come up empty handed about actually doing something about it. I spoke with at least 15 reps from Corporate and it absolutely made no difference whatsoever nothing was ever done but they did manage to take a bunch of notes about the situation that never amounted to a hill of beans. I will never purchase big ticket items from them again especially because of the third party they contract out too (Railway) that is even worse at customer service than Home Depot and for a company that specializes in delivery but refuses to deliver is absolutely astounding !!!!!! Never use these companies or you will be very disappointed and left scratching your head at the lack of PRIORITY, HONOR, ETHICS.
I’ve received fantastic customer service at Home Depot in N. Canton, OH. From their assistance with light bulbs to their associate, Quinn. Whom walked me all the way across the parking lot to Good Year to help with my cart. Thank you Quinn, for looking out for the welfare of Home Depot’s customers.
Its a great place to buy quality tools. The staff isnt always helpful, (they seem to have the wrong people in certain departments most of the time) but today they were. I think we managed to pick up every item in the store without a tag on it, so checking out took awhile, but all in all, it was a pleasant trip.
Home depot never seems to disappoint! Their stores are clean and usually well organized and stocked , and as long as you have a general idea of what youre wanting to do you should have no problems finding it here! , even if you cant find something or need a little help their staff is more than willing to help assist you in finding all your d.i.y. needs!
I have used in-store pickup today I have used it before but today the service was rather slower than before even though it was not very busy. Maybe just an off day. The isles in the store are so jammed packed with products that you cant get through. If someone has a cart consider going around, really getting rude just so much stuff.
Big box store usual. Customer service is dead. You ask an associate who is very task focused on building a display and setting a planogram that they only point in the direction and give you an isle number. Isle was wrong. There was a small end cap display, but not what I needed. Item I needed and asked for was 4 isles away. Finally found what I needed, no thanks to the associate🙄. Guess what? No manned checkout either. I now get to do another job the decided isnt needed and check myself out. Sadly, I was at the mercy of.needing an it right now and the little hardware store was already closed.Had to go back here again and good gracious I wish there was a 0 rating. After asking for help and being told theyd be right back and waiting 20mins and nobody coming back I walked up and down every isle until I found what I needed. So an hour shopping for a single small item thats not labeled in any isle and zero customer support. Will continue to avoid as much as possible.
Very hard to get assistance was what I previously posted. Two days later visit was amazing. Associates would speak and ask if they could help us. The ladies in appliances and countertops was so friendly and knowledgeable. Sarah was able to work with us in picking out the perfect product.
Melissa was amazing! She came running when she saw I was lifting bags of compost myself. She helped put all 7 bags in the cart for me and gave me directions for item I was looking for. She was very kind and nice with excellent customer service. If all staff at home depot was like her their sales would honestly go up tremendously. 5 stars for Melissa.
Its almost like Home Depot is starting to go downhill usually if you need a part you think they might have it so you drive all the way there next thing you know they dont have it so you got to go to Lowes and it blows dont have it then you got to go to Menards there needed to be a little more Mom Pop hardware stores around that would be great
Dont buy the floor models at this store because when they take it apart they could careless what shape its in when it goes to the customer. The screws were stripped, the roof had deep scratches. Went to see the manager. The manager was very nice gave us a discount but the store didnt have any of the screws or hardware that we needed. Had to buy paint so the roof wood not rust. The person that sold it to us said it was in good shape. It probably was until the workers took it apart.
Had to purchase a hedge trimmer. Purchased a Ryobi battery powered, 40 watt, with swivel handle. When we were looking a very nice gentleman came over and asked if we needed help and proceeded to give us the info we needed. His help was much appreciated. Will go back if I need any more yard tools.
Masks are required to enter. An easy solution to your home improvement needs. The store well organized. If you find your home improvement needs online pay attention to the location listed on the website. The store is organized by isle and bin number. You can easily find your items using this system and expedite your shopping. The employees were pleasant and helpful with my project.
I like to go in here if it was easy. It’s not a bad place they have good materials. But got creeped out by some middle-age worker MALE with a mustache goatee thing. He tried to hit on me then he watched me from a distance the whole time I was shopping. Creeped me out I will not be going back. I don’t care what your preference is but when I tell you I’m not interested that’s poor management letting someone like that around After I said something the first time.
Ive been to Home Depot plenty of times in the last couple weeks as I just moved into my first house and found out I needed A LOT. But one visit stuck out at this location. My fiancé and I went to buy a grill. We found the grill we wanted, and Skipper (at least, thats what was on his apron) helped us out! He was so friendly and made sure we were good to go up to us loading the grill in the car. He was able to find us a pre-built one so we didnt have to go through the hassle of trying to put it together ourselves. He took us up to check out, he helped load it into the car, and wished us a good day. He was beyond kind and friendly! The woman who was at self-checkout that night was super friendly and helpful as well. I love this Home Depot!
Home Depot was busier than I have ever seen it! The good news is that we still got what we needed (home gardening, lattice, light fixture, water filters) and when we went up to checkout there wasnt a long line. We only had one person checking out in front of us! Staff was being polite and helpful! There were plenty of staff (wearing masks). There were plenty of hand sanitizer stations. I was not worried but I liked that they continue to stay clean! :)
Absolutely the worst service staff and people I have ever dealt with. When your spending thousands on a hot water tank. After Being bounced from hot tanks to customer service back to hot tanksAnd i couldnt find not one sales staff who knew anything about them other than how to sell it.Finally a gentleman did sit down and at least go over some units. Now talked to installer and they recommended another unit.Tried to switch order with customer service.NopeHad to cancel order and go back and do it again in person
My checkout was good, I got my items. My issue is with the lady at the blinds section who saw me standing there waiting for help, yet stayed on her personal phone instead of helping me. When she finally acknowledged me it was a “do you want something?”. Thanks, I figured it out myself.
This place is so full of stuff to make home repairs,it kinda overwhelmed me,I just needed parts to fix a broken toilet, the staff helped me find what I needed,Im not a fan of self checkout,I would rather have someone do that job,I dont work here,I did finally get a clerk to wait on me, 👍
You know, its hit or miss here. I can buy something and get great service, or I can look around for an employee to help but they avoid eye contact. You take your chances.BUT - the worst part about shopping here is the boneheaded decision to put the lumber/pickup area right IN the entrance to the parking lot. And if that wasnt poor planning enough, the truck/tool rental area of the parking lot is right between the two front doors. Yes, in what would be the most logical place to park at the store. Why isnt that rental stuff at the end of the aisles by Portage Street? Its just freaking annoying to have all of those good parking spaces taken up by rentable Home Depot items.
Great place to go if you can carry ALL of your goods. Walked in the entrance and no carts. Walked to the other end of the store entrance and no carts. Im not a fan of doing a scavenger hunt before I shop. No sign of anyone wanting to assist me. It tells me Im unwanted.
Got a pretty decent deal on a DeWalt roll away but its the depot and I know they aint exactly crusading to keep the prices down so, I might as well be happy with it. I might even have done a little better by holding out until black Friday in a couple of weeks but it wasnt an option. Hate to be so cynical but it never fails that I feel I overpaid every time I walk out of that place, in spite of their warm and fuzzy commercials promising to save me a glittery fortune on all projects Im smart enough to have them supply for me. Not to mention the reassurance that Ill achieve professional level results by consulting with someone in an orange shirt while Im there. I cant count how many times Ive been in one of their stores and had another customer come up and ask me (of ALL people) for help due to their frustration with the help they got from an actual employee. In all fairness I have struck gold once or twice by coming across an individual who had knowledge AND experience and became invaluable for his (or her) help. But those folks never last and wont be there when you go back. Cant say as I blame em.
Another of your standard home depot locations. I find this store in particular to be a much better layout than other stores Ive visited. Its my go to for all quick home renovation items and more. The garden center is always fully stocked in the summer and provides some reasonably priced plants all around. Early spring to mid summer they also have a drive thru mulch purchasing area which is super convenient for bulk purchases. The tool section is another personal favorites of mine...tool brands such as milwake, makita, and their own brand husky plus many more. Ive found those three to be excellent choices however. This location is extremely busy though so I would recommend avoiding peak times like Saturday and Sunday afternoons.Overall a great location with plenty of selection for anything you may need hardware store related.
Ah, the inviting smell of wood! This Home Depot is pretty nice. The store is kept clean and I appreciate that they frequently have people at the customer service desk ready to help. The employees in the floor are helpful as well. When I walked in, I was asked right away if there was anything I needed help with. If you need pipe or lumber cut, they will do that as well. Theres also a hot dog stand outside if youd like to partake in some eating.
This was a crazy time to visit. Spring Black Friday on the first really nice day of the year was a bit much. There were people everywhere. We purchased several lawn items and ended up needing to take 2 trips to get it all. Amongst all the chaos, each employee took the time to help me through each stage of purchase, setting items aside for will call pick up, getting my items and helping me load. The supervisor at the Customer Service desk even walked me to my car and helped me load because she was the only one available. The experience was great, and has secured future business from me.
I had a very relaxing experience at Home Depot today. When I go in there I get overwhelmed everythings High , shelves are full and interesting and I tend to zigzag all over the store. Today a young man helped me. His name was Nick M. Was very soft-spoken, very kind and considerate. I let him know I didnt know what I was looking for as far as departments or sizes and he took me where I needed to find the things I wanted. I made an online purchase (which Ive never done before) and he did that very efficiently, he didnt make me feel that I was unable to do that at home..... though I did explain to him Im intimidated, maybe a bit technologically challenged 😊). It was a very very nice shopping day for me and I would like for him to be commended ( if you had more like him that would be super). Many times when shopping, and I realize different personalities or problems or annoyances that individuals have, sometimes affect their interaction with the customer. Understanding and acknowledging that sometimes happens is okay, but it doesnt make one feel like an important customer if the helper is obviously not wanting to be helpful. That was not the case today ,so I wanted to let you know a very nice young man ( good looking too) is a very nice Home Depot representative. I realize I probably said more than I needed to..... this is my first time too express my opinion in this manner, though I really should more often because there have been many times I thought about it and just didnt bother.
Im not sure who designed this store...but they need fired! Idk who decided it was a good idea to put the lumber pick up area right AT the entrance into the parking lot! It is ALWAYS congested...i cant believe no one has gotten run over b4 now! Once inside its good, nice employees...but never seem to find anyone when help is needed.
Purchased a reverse osmosis system and as soon as I got out to the car I forgot to look for coupons. I found an emailed coupon so I went back I to customer service just to realize it was expired. Mike, at the service desk was THE kindest person I have met. Good customer service and kindness really goes a long way.
Dave in plumbing was so incredibly helpful! My husband also had to run back to the store because we needed an additional part. The store was actually closed, but the door wasnt locked so he didnt know u til he went to check out. When he got to the register it was off, but a manager came right over and helped him get his items and did so very kindly. Thanks!
Usually I can find everything I need for a project. Recently they dropped a product I liked so that was slightly annoying as I had to find it elsewhere. The true negative here, in my experience, has always been the lack of help from experienced workers. When I need help looking for a product, theres rarely anyone to ask or help. And the ones I can find are usually inexperienced. Truely frustrating. Not my experience at other Home Depot stores.
My daughter ordered custom screen doors from them in November. She didn’t receive them till around December 30. She didn’t open them till she was going to install them, because the salesman Scott said they send them out then they send them back to the store to make sure they were right before delivery. She didn’t have them installed till February. She actually ordered 4 custom doors. The one front door and one back door. Those were perfect, but the back door screen door is not cut right, and the front screen door the handle is on the wrong side. They will take them back but she has to pay a 15% restock fee. I think thaB.S. Your mistake fix it. Is this common practice? They ended up giving her money back.
Tried to purchase$200 item and was hassled over getting Veterans discount. Not the first time for this but will be the last as I will no longer shop there and give all my business to Lowes where it is hassle free year round vets discount. I hope other veterans read this and make the same choice.
The associates at this store are great. Very helpful. I stop in when I get off work at 6:30am. The associates are all busy fixing shelves and stocking, but they will stop what they are doing and help you find what you need even if its clear across the store in another department.I went to the other large hardware store, Lowes, a few years back. I ask an associate if they could help me and was told Go get it your own f****in self! Needless to say I or any of my friends and family have not set foot in that store in 3 years. Thank you again for employing and training the excellent associates that you have.
If I could give zero stars I would. Staff is so rude at this location! They walk around without acknowledging any of the customers. After asking for help 2 times in plumbing and waiting 20 minutes for help no one showed up. In the time I waited for the plumbing professional, 3 employees walked right by me refusing to acknowledge me or even make eye contact. Spoke with the “Manager on Duty” Anthony who looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but at work. He was short with his responses and had an attitude problem. Great pick to be a manager! Highly disappointed in this store and their staff. Went to Lowe’s instead and got what I needed and questions answered all in 15 minutes.
The Home Depot in Canton, Ohio is our go-to store for hardware, home furnishings, paint, etc. The staff is always helpful and friendly, often offering helpful advice, suggestions, and critiques when asked! They are honest and never try to sell us anything we dont want or need. This particular store is well-stocked and clean.
Every time I have to deal with home depot I get attitudes from the associates or my online order is never ready when they say it will be. Its not just this store either its been all the home depots Ive been to. Ive ran into at most 2 or 3 nice people thats it. Home depot has the worst customer service ever.
Within a minute of being in the store a guy asked me What can I help you find today? and he took me right to the wire cutters I was looking for. I bought some houseplants and Kristen at the register found me a box to put them in so they wouldnt be tipping over in my car! Excellent service!!!
I was in last night and looking for a drill bit set, couldn’t find it anywhere even though the website said there were 19 in stock. I talked to Mark in power tools and he looked all over for it. Eventually we were looking for it on the top shelves to see if it was still boxed up. He found it and we could see it was part of a Spring Black Friday promotion so I assumed I wouldn’t be getting what I came for. Mark didn’t hesitate to get a lift and safely get the whole box down for me so I could get the specific $20 bit set I was looking for, he could have said “sorry” but instead he went out of his way to help. Make sure you hold on to that guy! Thanks Mark!
Super disappointed! We ordered a new refrigerator, washer and dryer 4+ weeks ago. Our delivery is scheduled for Monday (today is Saturday) and we had not heard from Home Depot with regards to a delivery time so I called the store a little while ago. After finally reaching someone through the automated system, the associate hung up on me. I had to call back and the same associate put me on hold for a while and then came back to the phone and informed me that our delivery has been rescheduled for Friday! No one called us or informed us in anyway that they just decided to not deliver our merchandise! My husband and I both scheduled off work for this delivery as we will be moving some things around to accommodate! What a horrible business practice. I asked to speak to the manager and upon speaking to Operations Manager, Dave West, I was informed that the items (3) were all on back order. What’s the likelihood?? Really?? We are just supposed to take off work again Friday for a possible delivery?? If the Home Depot Manager asked his boss if he could take off twice a week until his appliances were delivered would he still have a job?? I told him to cancel the order and refund partial payment to our debit card and the other portion to the Home Depot card and he informed me that we have to come into the store to make that happen! How about you inconvenience us and then inconvenience us again!?!? That’s sure to make us want to shop with you again. We just spent $5000 in your store and this is how we are treated?? I don’t think so. Our daughter informed us this weekend that she had the exact same situation happen from a Home Depot in Alabama which is why I decided I should call them today. She took off work for the day of delivery only to have her washer and dryer never show up. The next day when she called they said ‘oh we had to reschedule’. 4 weeks later and 3 missed deliveries, she cancelled the order and it took 3 more weeks to get her money back in her bank account. I guess this is common practice. Sadly. But luckily HD is not the only gig in town ;)
The customer service was not helpful in any way the employee was slow, confused and was able to find only what I did not want. Their inventory system says that they had 10 of the product I was looking for, when in fact they had 0 in the store. This has become a common occurrence with Home Depo.
Always a pleasure shopping here. My husband works in construction and is quite the handyman so we are here very often. Always satisfied with the products and prices (mostly). The only negative thing which costs them a star in my review is all of the self check outs. I heard they will have all self check outs soon. I dont like that one bit. My husband and I refuse to use self check outs anywhere we go. To find out that we soon wont have a choice is disconcerting. We may have to switch companies in the future. We shall see.
I have been shopping solely at Home Depot for years, I flip homes. I have shopped Home Depot in a lot of counties in Ohio and South Carolina and always had a good professional experience...until today. I bought four bags of mulch for a home. The cashier in the garden center paged for the mulch to be delivered up outside the gate into my van. He finally showed up very disgruntled that he had to get the mulch, it showed on his face and his mannerism. He then went back to get the mulch, only brought three bags. He was upset that he had to go back and get the other payed for bag. He got the bag and threw it into my van. He never said a word to me ever, he was just extremely mad that he had to do it. Worst experience I have ever had at any store ever. He is large in stature and his name is Lane. He needs to change his attitude about the job he is getting paid to do or quit or Home Depot needs to fire him.
The store was very nice and organized with lots of inventory but this is why I gave it only 2 stars there were no cashiers it was self checkout well I guess we have gotten that far we now have to ring our own stuff up. Im not about to start doing that. Sadly there went a couple more jobs so I cant patronize a business that does and supports that so I wont be able to return.
This Home Depot is terrible. How does it say you have two of something in stock at your store, online, but Ive stopped out of my way twice now and you dont have what I specifically need, unless I want to buy a kit, which i dont need. Every person from customer service ive dealt with at this location always comes off as snobby and rude. I always try to support local buisness, but needless to say, Im done with this place.
I am not going to rate this store down because of one cashiers mistake. I have been here before and things were fine. But today the woman was so nervous that someone was going try to steal something from her from her that she just made a mistake that could have caused a very large problem if it hadnt been found out . Had to make a second trip to get her mistake corrected. The second experience was a lot better than the first. So they get four stars instead of five.
Tried to price match an item there from a local retailer. The store manager scolded me, and said I was shady for trying to do a price match. They dont know their own price match policy, as it states If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from a local retailer’s store or website, we will match the price and beat it by 10% I had an ad, it was local, and they wouldnt do the 10% either.
If I have a choice I always choose home depot. Better selection and better quality everything over (b)Lowes. Bought a tub and surround and was stopped twice on the way out to make sure the materials werent damaged. I dont think Ive EVER been asked for help at a lowes.
My wife and I were very pleased working with Bob in kitchen appliances. We were not happy when we found out that the store would not deliver to my house in Carrollton, OH - 44 miles from the store. Then I found out that NONE of the Home Depot’s deliver to my house. Thus, business must be good to turn a $5500 sale to Lowe’s (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, and dryer).
Nicely laid out, very friendly staff, quick check out..the clerk was efficient and accomodating. It was a very pleasurable shopping experience. Being a contractor, Im in Home Depots from Sandusky, Cleveland, to Pittsburgh to Canton. This was easily one of the best experiences Ive had.
Way better atmosphere than Lowes staff with the exception of the blinds dept. The staff in the blinds department wasted about 4 hours of my time once while I patiently waited with a completely understanding attitude and then never called me when their computer was ready to enter information. Lowes did great with my blinds. Whatever you do, Home Depot, do not accept traders from Lowes or they will ruin you! Thats all I care about! Oh and carry some concrete boring bits please. I hate going to Lowes for that.
What an organization! I am a regular customer of store #3810 in Canton, OH and also at Lowes nearby. When Lowes offered 50% off on their live Christmas trees but had no inventory of #2 size potted spruce trees I called THD to see if they would match the deal today. The garden center manager Sarah told me to come in and she would take care of me. I picked out a pair of trees, went to the customer service area and cashier April said Merry Christmas! and gave me the trees at no charge. Not only was this completely unexpected, but I also appreciate that she said Merry Christmas. There are still some businesses who appreciate the reason for the season, and have not restricted their employees from expressing their religious beliefs in their greetings to customers. Just another reason Home Depot is the leader in their industry.
A shelf in the clothes closet needed a board to support the middle. When we arrived, a cashier asked if she could help. We explained what we wanted, she then asked if we would consider wood in the closet that wasnt eye pleasing. We chose a 9 ft piece from the discard dolly. It ended up costing us less than 50 cents.
I recently entered uncharted territory (for me) at the Canton Home Depot. An employee named Nikki stepped right up and guided me through the process of buying wood and having it cut to spec. She also set me up with a Pro Account and was just fabulous in general. I thought that trip was going to be painful but it was actually delightful. Thanks!
Tool rental is clueless. Rick, wants to charge for bits when you rent a Jack hammer. What good is a jack hammer with no bits?Called the manager and he had no clue. He had to ask Rick!!!Went to General tool rental and got what I needed with 3 bits no charge. If you don’t like anymore headaches then needed stand clear of the tool rental at North Canton Home Depot.
Well I places a special order for a garage door and windows. And it had went downhill from there. The door showed up 2.5 weeks later then the original expected date Oct 15th. The windows showed up on time, oct 17th but after getting them home and got my installer to come over found they were missing parts to install them. Contacted the store, parts were ordered for the windows, but it was the wrong ones and not enough anyways. Still waiting on the door.. delivery day got pushed back, should be here since it was still saying the 15th Mind you, my cars got broken into since I couldnt get the door installed since it was still not at the store. A police report was filed. I called the store again unhappy, when is it getting there. It should be on the 25th it came and went no door. I called again ,finally got the 31st as a date. Well at checking my email at the end of the day I got one from homedepot saying my order arrived. No one from the store had called to inform me it was there. I called to actually verify it was there and it took almost 20 minutes to verify but couldnt tell me when it could be delivered, when the manager previously stated they would do their best to. deliver it the same day or next day, because of the hassle so far. Well someone will call to set that up. End of the following day came and someone finally called said they could do friday afternoon, or a saturday. Well this wasnt what I was promised previously and since I worked set it up for saturday since they couldnt give me Friday evening. I get a call at 650am when my delivery window was 8 to 10 to drop the door off and they would be there in 5 minutes. My installer came over Sunday to install it, it was missing pieces, and the door was actually damaged on top of it being 2.5 weeks late. So here I sit with a door I cant use. Its now 10 days later, they ordered andsent the wrong hardware out and was missing one of the pieces that was correct. Again had to pay my installed for coming out again since it was the wrong parts, how was I to know the store ordered me the wrong parts a second time?I contacted them and they told me to call the manufacturer, while talking to them, I had to wait for them to contact the store since the order number they gave me was the wrong one????? Really again? Here to find out even though I had purchased everything on 9/27 the store drug their feet and took till 10/8 to place the order according to the manufacturer. Now wonder it never showed up on time? They called me again today to double check on the size of the damaged panel? This was brought to their attention on 11/4 why is it 10 days later, they are now getting around to ordering the panel when they spent the time to order the hardware.I am still waiting on parts for my window, Im still waiting on parts for my door. I cant have or use either one, I am due to make a payment and no one seems to care at all at the store to responsibly fix my issues. I have contacted corporate, however they have yet to call back from then. The store has called me to ask why I called corporate? Maybe because your dragging your feet to order me what I need to get things installedut never with any useful information on when the parts should be showing up. Or when they are even being ordered, cant tell me when I should be expecting them.End note very unhappy to have spent 1000s on stuff and cant use any of it. Expecting to pay for it and the store seems it could care less to order the correct stuff
Pretty unhappy with customer service and the way they treat people. My husband was escorted from the building for trying to use my debit card. If he has my pin and I have his last name it shouldnt be questioned. He was only using it because they wouldnt allow him to use our company card which we have used plenty of times. They were very very rude and acted like he was a criminal! Im never asked anything when Im running debit. Ive heard too many stories of them not caring about their own employees let alone customers. Guess we take our business elsewhere!
Went for some winterizing supplies, Asked the front desk for the location of heat tape and pipe insulation. Given the wrong location, of course. After wandering 3 other aisles, ran across another employee. Asked where the heat tape was. Was directed to heat resistant tape. Told this employee I will find it on my own. I did that 7 aisles over. Then after another search for pipe insulation I asked another employee, my mistake, where I could find it, then taken on a half hour tour. Made me feel like they must have felt on the Minnow(Gilligans Island). Never found it with that person. Then went in search of electrical tape, found the pipe insulation, and the tape. I wonder? Do they only check these people for a heartbeat and a pulse before hiring? Totally worthless people.
Wish they had a better electrical selection like Menards. I can never find the special cover plates I need. Menards has some that you can build yourself by clicking them together. Home Depot must not care to stay up on good quality versatile products. Also makes me mad that I have to walk all the way to the back of the store to get to get to the electrical section. Its nonsense. Then when I got to the self checkout my card wouldnt work because their entire stores card readers werent working.
Was able to pick up everything we needed for a home renovation project. However I rated while shopping an associate stopped us to try to convince us to open a credit card account. When we told him we already had one, he gave some false information about if its been over a year since we used it, the account has expired but we could renew it by reapplying. This is positively untrue. These accounts will get closed by the finance company, but not that quickly. What he was encouraging would have opened a second account. It was a shady and misleading attempt to meet some sort of quota. Dont fall for this.
The workers on the floor were helpful when I asked questions but when I asked the cashier if they meet walmart prices on the balaclava is 19.99 at Home Depot and 13.99 at walmart. She said oh no we don’t match prices that’s rediculous. Major attitude for a simple question. Now that’s rediculous.
I tried to buy a gift card for my dad for Fathers day. I was asked if I was paying with a credit card and I replied that I was paying with a debit card. The employee refused to sell me the gift card because I didnt have my I.D .on me. I told her I had a students I.D. but that wasnt good enough. I am extremely upset and frustrated with my experience. Very rude and will never return.
Didnt have what the website Sid they did so wasted trip then I get in there n ask a worker said they had something similar but when I got where it was supposed to be there were gone to. So unless u want to go from store to store best bet is to order it, then pick it or have delivered.
Handy and convenient except the nosey woman at the electronics area she will continue to harass you and let on like you are stealing and talk behind your back to other employees who then in turn fillon you like ur a criminal its as bad as the massillion home depot but then again the power does the same things and so does the tractor supplly and ave i suggest that you just order online from Amazon its cheaper master and harrassment free
Every time I am in this location something weird happens. One time they stole my cart and unloaded everything at the return desk to be put away. Prices are always marked wrong. Lumber is always twisted and no one offers to help you load your cart. Dont ask employees questions either, Google can give you better answers. But the location is conveniently accessible.
The guy I went to interview at Home Depot was a total jerk and very smug. I didn’t know how to respond to one of his questions and he was very smug and mocked me. I found the first excuse to leave and I did. I thought he was very unprofessional and didn’t even give me a chance
Kitchen sales use the Bait and Switch tactic. They competed for my business with Lowes, Menards and Bolens. They gave the best price then after the kitchen was delivered we needed to purchase additional items to finish the kitchen, that drove their cost above their competitors. They drug their feet on the measurements and tried to back out of the 20% sale, but it was their delay in measurements that caused the purchase to fall outside of the sale. The install cost is sold as a savings by cutting out the sales tax. Their install cost was 3x the cost to have a local contractor do the install. Simply the worst company to work with when putting in a kitchen...

2022-07-07Great place to shop and an even better place to WORK! Im so sad that it didnt work out for me, but I was having a difficult time getting to and from work every day and night. With gas as expensive as it is, taking an Uber/Lyft was costing me anywhere between $50-$80 to get to and from work everyday. When youre only making $16/hour, more than half of all my income was going to just getting to work. So I tried walking, taking the bus.. it was a 7 mile Trek and waiting for the bus in the morning put me home 3 minutes faster than walking the entire 7 miles LOL 🙄🤦🏻♂️ I didnt know anyone i worked with that lived near me or in my direction so I quit, but if I end up getting the Sales Position for N² PUBLISHING as Area Director, it will all have happened for a super great cause as the average employee takes home over $90,000 in their first year of employment!! Ive had 5 phone interviews and the Ohio Sales Director/Interviewer has all but offered me an Official Position due to a lack of current openings in the immediate area, however, I honestly believe that it will all work out in my favor. They seem to really like me and the feeling is definitely mutual! Hopefully they allow me to expand the reach of The Akron/Canton Area Market! So, hopefully no hard feelings, Home Depot, but I absolutely ran out of all other available options before I finally made.the decision to leave. Thank you all for helping me and training me for the 3 short nights I actually made it there. You guys have amazing STAFF and SUPERIOR Management- You honestly could not ask to be surrounded by a better TEAM of Tool Professionals.

2022-06-16Bought a stove and refrigerator to replace ones that were not working. This was during the global issue. When the scheduled delivery didnt happen we called and were told the product was not in stock. We went back to the store and picked out product that we were assured was in stock and waited. The manager that helped us with this said if we have any issues to call and talk to her. When, two days later, this product proved to be out of stock we called to talk to her only to find out she went on vacation. The first stove that was delivered did not work. It took my husband throwing a fit to get the store model delivered until they could get us a new one. When the new one was finally delivered the delivery people were rude and didnt even bother to level the appliance. I have not shopped at Home Depot or used my HD credit card since. What prompted me to write this review is that my mother needed a new refrigerator this week. Went to Best Buy and had it delivered within three days. Not one issue!

2022-03-19Was very disappointed with the experience while trying to purchase a washer and dryer. Was told by the salesman that if I returned a week later he would be able to give me half off if the item was still on the floor. I showed up a week later the item was still available and was told the best they can do was 350.00 off. My experience to say the least was very disappointing. I would have appreciated honesty from the beginning. I will spend my money at Lowes moving forward.

2022-06-17This Home Depot is spacious and well stocked with everything you could need. The team members are also surprisingly knowledgeable in the area they support. Even when it is not their area, they still try to help or will find someone who can help you.

2022-06-07This place is one of the biggest culprits I have seen yet when it comes to recent price gouging. I understand supply chain issues, but when small specialty stores are undercutting you, when usually it is the other way around, youre doing something wrong. Also, none of the employees in this place are ever able to found when you need them. And on the off-chance you do find them, most of them are less than helpful.

2022-05-23I have done a lot of business at home Depot it will be my last business after the wait that my husband and I were treated today us both being in wheelchairs. we were told to come to the pickup we did then we were told to go to the garden center we did then we were told to go around the side we did we were totally ignored and laughed at by some young men there and I use the word men lightly. ask to talk to a manager we were denied they put heavy gravel in the back of our car after us clearly telling them to lay the seat down and broke our shock so they can look forward to a lawsuit and paying for our car. the rudest most unprofessional people I have ever seen except for one girl there which was exceptionally nice and so sad a woman can do more work than it a so-called man. however thank you my darling and I will be calling corporate to let them know who you are the rest of you look for a lawsuit you tore up our car and I think you done it intentionally

2022-07-07Was looking for some special fertilizer for my parents blueberries & 2 guys went out of their way to find it. The HD website said they had a dozen but none were to be found on the lower shelf. After calling for the 2nd man from the dept & locating it on their computer they went to work searching. After a thorough 10+ min search the bags were bundled together in their original shipping packaging on upper shelves. It is always nice to see employees going above and beyond to get the job done. 👍

2022-03-20My steering wheel on my John Deere S120 was damaged when it was delivered. Jeff the Manager stepped up and took care of everything! I was worried it was going to be a pain dealing with getting it replaced. No such thing at all! Jeff had a new steering wheel for me the next day and told me to enjoy my new tractor! Absolutely awesome customer experience!!

2022-04-13Be careful ordering online!!Ordered a washer and dryer ($1500) and didn’t realize I hadn’t ordered installation kit. Customer service said I could go out to Home Depot…buy the parts and install myself…they suggested I watch a video. Basically after my purchase and delivery…they were done!
