The Home Depot in other cities:
Very poor customer services, had to wait more than twenty minutes for service while one of their clerks discussed her vacation schedule on her cellphone and then for them to get a store manager to help purchase a large tool box worth more than $325. Show you black peoples cash doesnt mean at there Arlington store.
This visit was to purchase supplies for a DIY wall unit project my husband wanted to build. We loved the selection of grey shelving and the staff were very helpful. An associate by the name of Connor, cut all the sections according to our specs and was very accurate. We also purchased paint and fasteners and were in and out within 2 hours. Great selection, great service!
Ive been spending a lot of money at Home Depot since going back in business for myself a year ago. The customer service has been excellent! The only problem I have found is in some of their pricing. For instance I paid three times the price to buy perforated piping from there in comparison to buying it a quarter mile down the street. Most of their pricing is in line with the other stores but not on every item. I made note of it and will no longer buy my perforated piping from them. Their asociates are very helpful and answer any question you ask. If they cant theyll find someone to contact who can.
Great place to purchase a variety of items whether your a contractor or do-it-yourself youll find it in store or online. *Update* outside garden has been updated and expanded. Come and see for yourself. As of 6/6/2022 there are Riding Lawn Mowers out on the front apron. Plenty of walk behind lawn mowers.
The home depot Id my 2nd home. Doesnt matter of I have money to buy I get lost looking at there inventory I love woodworking and there lumber dept is where time just slips away thinking what I can make next. People friendly and trust me if you have issues with any power tool battery, electric or gas the workers in the tool room is where to go. Strsight up my hat is off to them doesnt matter if you bought it there take it there and youll see Home Depot rocks 😎
Worst Home Depot ive ever been to. Went to pick up 250ft of 12/2 romex as it stated on their website that, that particular store had 253 of them in-stock. Drive all the way there to find out that the website was incorrect and they actually had 0 in stock!! Whilst there i also went to purchas a dbl pack of HDX screw boxes as agsin the website stated 43 of them in stock. Low and behold! That too was incorrect and they had 0 of those also!?? WTHell are u guys doing in there?? The place is so badly run by staff and management thats its an embarrassment! Never met a bunch of miserable people in my life! If you dont want to do your jobs then dont work there!!! When i asked about stock levels being incorrect i just get shrugged shoulders and a oh well response! This has been going on in their store for mnths. No one knows anything about anything. LEARN YOUR JOB! PATHETIC COMPANY RUN BY PATHETIC PEOPLE.
Not many employees willing to help find stuff. Still no employees walking around helping people but they did have what I needed. Cashiers are looking at cell phones when I walk in and when I left. Cant find good people anymore.I did go in tonight to get some items. Brian in lumber was very helpful and knowledgeable. Walked towards the tool section and low and behold I see 3 employees leaning on racks chatting it up. Brian was working and sorting lumber and organizing shelves when he asked if I found what I needed. He should be the manager. Great work sir!
Asked customer service to see if they had a specific tool box in stock and their computer said they had 3 in stock and online showed 2 but when the girl from that department came up to help she immediately said we don’t have those, either she didn’t want to help or Home Depot needs to get there inventory correct. I had to go to a different Home Depot and they had it pulled and ready for me to pickup. Do not go to this location.
Always a go to for home products. They dont seem to be making everyone mask up. Tsk...I come for Krud Cutter; is the best low toxic and thorough cleaner ever.Earth friendlyNontoxicEasy grease cutterTip# Spray full strength on stove knobs, back splashes, hubcaps for the easiest cleaning eeeeverr!Home Depot is one of the few stores that carry it. Also used be professional cleaners. Cleans kitchen and home without all the scrubbing and in less the time. Ill never turn back.
The biggest hardware store name wise. But the only problem is they have people stalking you like your some kind of criminal. I own my business and i buy alot from them but 1 more time I go in there and their loss prevention people follow me around I will be done with them. Its ridiculous.
I try to stick with the positive experiences, but Im gonna keep it real on this one. I am so tired of walking into a Home Depot to be greeted by 1-4 employees, yet when you get to isle that you need help in there is nobody to be found. Recently I was there for some specialty fasteners and as soon as a made the turn into that isle the employee that was there walked away in a way that could only come off as on purpose. This store has a handful of super helpful folks, but Home Depot clearly doesnt care if a majority of there customer servicing staff doesnt want to interact with customers in the way that is needed. P.S.: Just because the stores online inventory says 7 in stock, dont expect them to have any.
What can I say? Its a home improvement store, staff was available, ready to help, but we had to travel to 3 stores to get everything we needed for our deck, each store said they had what we needed in large numbers by the website but none of them had what they said they did. It would be awesome if their system updated as product is bought.
Put in an order almost 24 hours ago and it’s still not ready two phone calls later told them I do not want to come in the store because I want curbside that’s why I ordered last night so it should have Been ready for me when I got off work and I wouldn’t have to take the kids in the store but it looks like I’m going to have to anyways just to speak to a manager because they quit curbside at 6 absolutely ridiculous I understand you’re shortstaffed but my things are sitting right next to customer service I just need a few planter pots and soil The store has gone downhill a lot they used to base their self on satisfying the customers needs and wants what happened to will have your order in two hours or less?
I GREATLY appreciated the assistance I received from Ellie & Rob, dealing with reordering an online item that had been delivered previously, totally damaged! (It was damaged SO bad, that I had no choice, but to return the $960 item!) Anyway, I left your store that day, with a big smile on my face & a giddy-up in my step! 🤗 Much thanks guys!
Store is clean, with curtis employees. Dont like that a lot of the products we have grown to expect to use are no longer available, on top of price hikes. New Lower quality products for more money. This isnt okay, I wont allow that in my business. Looking for better options currently.
Treatment was horrible by pro desk staff who spoke condescending to me as a woman and spoke with me like I was 5 years old and knew nothing about the products. Refused to let me pay for my 18 bags of cement a redirect me to other checkers, dismissed me when I wanted help. However moments earlier he made time for the male customers a allowed them to pay for products at his station. Today I went to Menards for to for my business where at least customers were treated valued regardless of their gender. I know my hardware and construction products and registered as a pro st home depot but didnt get treated like one at this location. Ill avoid this store f major purchases in the future. Id rather spend my business dollars where women arent dismissed as unimportant or as clueless.
Found all my plumbing needs for an emergency leak in my water supply. For once a knowledgeable salesperson in the fittings dept great help knowing what was an ID AND OD Dimensions was and the ability to pick a quick connect sharkbite product in which it was a fast and no leak fix, just trim out the bad and push on the fitting to the line.
I spend over 2,000 a week here for my business. The cashiers know me by name and I tried to return a drill for a more expensive one that I paid for and because I didn’t have my receipt on me the employee at the customer service and the manager at the strickland. Arlington store humiliated and ember eased me basically calling me a thief. This store has now lost my business and you should think about shopping there because you are followed when you enter the store and treated like a thief. I own a legitimate business, never stole anything in my life, and I hope they get what they give. NEvER GO HERE go to LOWES they treat you with respect. And value your business unlike home depot
I feel like its starting to go down hill. Staff isnt as knowledgeable and quick to help like they used to and the lay out is different than my old store so its frustrating when your on a schedule and pressed for time. The pro desk workers are extremely arrogant and unwelcoming to new contractors they havent dealt with before. I do a lot of my bulk shopping other places but its still good for quick pick up items.
Went in to get a shower faucet with a diverter valve, and was happy to find their peg board full of them, and unlike their top competitor where I looked first, the rack wasnt full of returned items which were all taped up, was able to buy my products still in unopened packaging, and the parts are working beautifully.
I love going to Home Depot run-in get what you need and leave. However I went to buy some door locks I want them all to be keyed the same. No one was there to do that so I purchased them they told me to come back the next day after 10 and they would be done first thing in the morning. They were never keyed they were never found they have no idea what happened to them. I had a refund and left and went to Lowes
You must wear a mask to shop here. Most any home improvement need may be purchased here. The store is clean and neatly organized. The employees are stationed throughout the store to assist with product help. Hand tools, plumbing, paint, electrical needs, and garden supplies is available here.
Now usually.this place is great... but this last time I ordered curbside, 2 cars were there when I got there. I waited 15 minutes before calling the store to ask if there was anyone even working curbside today before finally getting our orders brought out. Curbside is supposed to be more convenient and it most certainly was not!!!!
The only issue I have is the same one Ive had for over 25 years. There is never enough help on the floor to assist the customers. I know that its corporates decision to run every store as lean as possible. It is the number one complaint as far as the consumer is concerned. Apparently, corporate only cares about the bottom line. Therefore, the customers have to pay the price of the lack of help. If Home Depot wants to truly be successful, they need to stick a crowbar into thier wallets & hire ample help at EVERY one of thier stores ! 😡
Ill tell you that when I bought the mulch from Lowes , I thought it was a good deal for 4 bags for 10$ was I wrong the bags were 1.5 cu ft and The bags from Home Depot are 2cu ft you do the math . Whats up? Home Depot ball the way , with the veterans much less $ Im all in Man!!!
Went in 2 different home depots and got the same answer in both places. Looked for attachments for shop vac and didnt have them but in both where they belong are either in a different spot or didnt have it. They are always mixed up most likely due to other customers putting them back in wrong spots. Even asked the employees. I do like the store but this was just hectic for me.
Although I like the availability of products at Home Depot, the curbside pickup at my location is really poor. Ive utilized this option twice. At first glance, the ease of notification upon arrival seems great. But after multiple texts, I have needed to call the store directly after 20 minutes of waiting. Both times- I was the only vehicle parked at curbside. It was very disorganized and the employee disinterested. Dont post curbside option unless it comes with service better than terrible.
I asked somebody for help with the lighting and they couldnt help me and said that they would get somebody who could but I stood there for probably another 10-15 minutes and nobody ever came. I asked for assistance with pest control and the woman didnt know said that she would get an associate I told her not to bother.
Place has the worst customer service. Called about exchanging something with no receipt, customer service rep tells me yes over the phone. Go the next day only to deal with hearing no and a piss poor attitude from 4 different reps. The issue wasn’t not being able to do it, the issue was being told one thing only to spend my time and gas to be told something different the next day along with a piss poor attitude.. People at Lowe’s have a better attitude! More friendly in my experience, it’s worth going even if you spend a dollar or two more on what you buy.
Was really disappointed that when I brought the fan and had an election come out and put my fans up and opened up the box and there wasnt any fan blades in one of the boxes I took it back but was very up set that all they did was exchange the fan but that did not get compensated for having to have the election come back
Well no one would help me i had to ask other customers if they could help me they did . But come on I asked 3 workers not really helpful i understand no one wants to work, but your walking past when I ask u a question you dont even stop not good customer service and that is why I dont shop at lowes
Terrible service! The lawn service department said they could put a new gas line on my weedeater for $32. So my boyfriend delivered my weedeater to them and told them all I wanted was the gas line installed. When he returned, they told him the $32 was just to evaluate what was wrong and tried to tell him that I need a new gas tank for $80. Then they tried to sell him a new weedeater, and the employee got antagonistic and told him, Youre not poor! My boyfriend brought my weedeater home, installed the line himself. Now the weedeater works great. No thanks to Home Depot!
Needed help finding a bulb shade that was a certain diameter. I asked an associate for help. He then asked me if I knew where the bulb shades were with an attitude. Of course I didn’t know because I don’t work there. I guessed and then he followed me to them. When I got to them he kept walking passed me and the shades until I had to speak up and tell him we were there and to turn around. I then told him what I needed and that I couldn’t find what I was looking for. He looked for about 3 seconds then mumbled “I don’t see it” then walked off and left me. This has probably been the worst customer experience I’ve ever had. I will go out of my way in the future to avoid this Home Depot.
Had to wait in line forever. Only one cashier at contractor exit. Guy at register had cocky attitude. Gave him a $100 bill to pay for $76 in merchandise and he says OH MAN! I DONT HAVE CHANGE FOR THAT! Opens his drawer and it was full. Handed me the change under the Plexiglas barrier without looking up or saying a word. Never even asked if I wanted help with the 20 bags of concrete so I just loaded it myself.
This Home Depot on Arlington is fine, the other people are just whining. They have everything you need and at cheaper prices than Lowes up the street. I always do some research about what I need before I come in and can usually find what I need. As long as you’re not a complete idiot you won’t have trouble locating what you need or politely asking someone for help. These people leaving bad reviews expect too much and need a reality check. I really enjoy the self check out and the hand held scanners. It makes checking out oversized items a breeze and the big screens are so easy to see. I’m not old but I still appreciate that. The Lowes up the street never has the self checkouts open which I dislike; another reason why I come to this Home Depot. I’ve also used the tool and vehicle rental a few times here and have had no issues whatsoever. Plus the bathrooms at this location are always nice. Totally changed my perception of going to the bathroom at a store in general. Keep up the good work everyone! There are still people out there that appreciate all you do!
Very disappointed, they didnt have furnace filter I needed, but associate said they did after waiting 10 minutes for me to check them sent me down aisle 11 which was the plumbing aisle. Another Male associate said it wouldnt be down that aisle but wouldnt assist or contact the other guy who said they had it and kept making excuses for the other associate. The female associate who called the one to help kept apologizing for the two guys. Was totally frustrated by that time bcz there was no reason for this goose chase or wasting of my time. Not sure will ever shop there again, definitely will not ask employees there for assistance.
They are very busy . This is my go to store. Most of this we know is help there is hard to find. Old couple , myself was waiting about 20 minutes. But they were also helping other customers. And not all employees know all. Plumbing is plumbing and so on. Just like if you was a cashier at a food store. Do you know how to cut meat, inventory stocking? Not everyone has the job to learn these things, or worked that position. But over all it is a good place to get your materials, tools, and what not. Still a Friendly staff. If your in a hurry this why they have it online where you can pick it up on a certain day , time.People are so impatient these days to blame others for their lack of sense of planning out things ahead of time.. Wonder why people are mad anymore, all the time.
I understand Covid is disrupting things like delivery, etc...but if products arent available, they shouldnt be advertised either in the ads, online or on TV. Went for a stainless appliance package that was advertised in paper and TV, and even IN store...to be told that none of the items are available....none. And even if they could be ordered, there are so many people waiting on their stuff, that I may or may not get anything that we order. And here today I see Black Friday ads, advertising what.....the stainless package that isnt even available.....SMH. Ridiculous.
Well me and my uncle sat there looking for a piece of Wonder for his apartment for about 20 minutes and two ladies were sitting there working but they were actually just talking to each other playing on the computer and we neither one of us got asked what we needed so we walked out of there went to Lowes got helped right away that we wanted and we may never come back to home Depot again thank you
Everyones heard of Home Depot. It has anything you could ever imagine needing for any type of project or home improvement. I come here to pick up odds and ends here and there during a project and the workers are always very willing to show me around and help if I need. Summed up, amazing place, exceeds all expectations.
This location is so hit and miss. Its been this way for years. Go during the day, and you get great help. Associates can tell you EXACTLY where something is that youre looking for. Its like that at a lot of Home Depots it seems. Go in the afternoon? Can hardly find someone to ask for help. And if you do, it almost seems like youre being a bother.
The store is usually kept pretty well the staff is generally pretty nice and helpful. Ive only had a couple frustrating moments over the past three years with this Home Depot. Rob the guy in the Pro Department that is a pro loader is the best dang Pro loader you have ever seen. Hes always has a great attitude and always willing to help. He wont let you walk by with a cart full of stuff without asking you if you need help. All the other Home Depots in the area could take a couple Qs from this guy Rob. At the other Home Depots in the area the pro loaders will walk right on by you, and act like they dont even see you loading your truck with 30 pieces of drywall but not Rob hell be damned if he lets you load stuff by yourself unless you want to. Thank you so much Rob for being an awesome guy.
This is where we go when we need anything for our home. Renting tools and purchases. All the staff is helpful and even the ones who are unsure, will find someone who can help. Ive bought everything from material to build my fence to roofing supplies to small appliances here. The service is good and even if youre not happy management will do what they can to make you happy.
I love it when I actually get to leave the house! This is one of my top five favorite stores. The only thing I was kinda upset about is the night viewing of the garden center outside. I believe that to promote sales after dark, turn lighting on and tell the evening crew responsible for the up keeping, that they need to actually do their job and pick up the trash and plant debris so its more presentable for the customers.
Wanted to buy a tool cabinet. The cabinet listed for almost 600.00 dollars. We waited for ten minutes watching employees walking around and avoiding us. Asked a employee for help and she stated she would call someone for us. Still no one came to help us. Looks like we are going to Lowes to purchase the tool cabinet!
Home Depot. The holy grail of DIY. They have just about anything you need, may need or stuff you dont need and just want to have around just in case. The value is there on many products and even during this Covid mess they still have associates available to help you out.
We recently purchased 2 lift chairs from Home Depot in Green (Arlington Rd) for my dad who was diagnosed and eventually died from brain cancer. He only used one of the chairs for a few weeks before being transferred to a bed. My mom called and talked with a manager and he said bring both chairs back for a full refund. My mom couldnt remember his name, but whoever that person was, on behalf of my dad and my family I thank you for your compassion. It is rare to find a company that places people over profits! We will be Home Depot customers for life! Thank you Home Depot!
I used to be in this store on a daily basis. It was okay and had decent customer service. Its terrible now. I wouldnt go in this store if it was my last resort. I just spent 7 mins on hold waiting to talk to a manager just to try and get a copy of a receipt. I called back and this time no one even answered, they let the phone ring for 5 mins then picked up and hung up quickly. What a joke. Not one department answered the phone. I get it if you have a few worthless lazy employees with a low paying job, but your whole store is staffed with incompetent people that wont even answer the phone. I called a different home depot and was on the phone with a customer service member in less than a minute getting the help I needed.
Tell the truth experience was good and bad first of all had purchased a robotic sweeper online for pet hair which unfortunately did not pick up pet hair basically just put it in a pile it was pretty expensive and didnt pick up deadly squat so I returned it the return went fine she took it back and credited my card but then I asked her where the sweepers were she gave me the wrong aisle it was 10 miles from where I went I actually passed it going to the aisle I needed other than that it went fine I love the place lots and lots of man stuff LOL
Worst customer service girls at the Return Counter Ive ever encountered! You both need to find a different line of work. You cheated me out a few dollars for something that wasnt there to begin with.. I shop there all the time; plants, lumber, river rock, etc Never did a return till tonight ...first and last..Wouldnt even give one star but couldnt give a review. Wont be shopping Home Depot on Arlington ever Ill drive out of my way to shop somewhere else.
Was having trouble carrying items asked an associate to help me by getting a cart for my items her reply was you can walk over and get it yourself how rife can you get? I immediately asked for a floor manger who listened to the issue rang my order up. Discounted my items for the issue. As I was walking ou the store associate address me by my name. Idk whom the lady was nor do I care for the nasty ride and presumptuous attitude from the lady. When I asked for help she was chit chatting with another employee doing absolutely nothing. Being disabled of thats what you need is people to stands around and gab Im a PERFECT ASSET FOR HOME DEPOT!!! PLEASE FIND MUTE ATTENTIVE FEMALE EMPLOYEES OR FILTER OUT THE LAZY ONES!!!
I have been a long time customer of The Home Depot. The Arlington location employs more helpful and knowledgeable people that i have ever found at any retail outlet. Many of the employees have over ten years with the company and many of these very helpful people provide professional advice all day to their customers. Visitors to The Home Depot, in many cases, rely on advice for repairs or projects. They get this and more. They have helped me many times. Remember there is no sign on the door saying “Free Apprenticeships to Everyone in all fields on the door. Yet this is what the employees do every day by providing guidance and help.I find this location to be the very best experience of all the retail stores I have shopped at. This is a FIVE STAR, EXCELLENT store.
Piss poor customer service, unknowledgeable staff of their products and their own computer systems. The pro desk is a joke. Cant find someone when you need something or wanna ask a question. Just because it says they have the item online and in stock at the store doesnt mean its actually on the shelf in the store.
I go here often and most of the time its just because its closer to my house. The other day really made me happy to spend my money here. I was loading up my truck with wall studs and plywood in the rain I might add when I hope I get this right, James a night stocker got out of his car before his shift started, put on his gloves and helped me load this stuff. I offered him a job lol but he is happy with Home Depot. I hope you all take care of James
I go to Home Depots all around Ohio constantly go there for tools supplies never have a problem everyones always so helpful first time going to Arlington and had the worst experience purchasing a lawn mower. I bought a lawnmower that was off 25%asked if there was any kind of problems with it they said no it was last years model I said great purchase lawn mower Take It Outside go to load it up and I see you that the back right wheel is about to break off all-wheel drive lawn mower so I take it back in inform them that the wheel is about to break off and is bending sideways the guy looks at me and says thats why its at a discounted rate I said isnt that something I should have been told in the beginning ? That should be noted on lawnmower before anyone would purchase it or informed . Employee was very rude way talk to me as if I was ignorant it was giving me attitude when I was asking questions about it before I even purchased it.I just purchased at Grill 3 weeks ago at the Fairlawn Home Depot talk to 3 different people everyone so very nice asked to help load it answer all my questions great experience.
So we are in line for about 10min at the pro desk for a pay by phone purchase. They had 1 girl working on the register 2 guys in the back playing on the computers a guy named Nick was just looking around as he is talking on the phone. The girl just ups and walks away without saying a word then comes back and says ill be back in a little bit. So we go over to the 2 guys playing on the computer and ask if 1 of them can help us out. They proceed to give an attitude and says well you could just walk down to the service desk. Sad part is we deal with home depots all over Ohio and very rarely have any issues let alone get an attitude for asking to be checked out.
Helpful people, but still having issues with my special order from months ago. Finally got correct parts weeks late to install windows but now my installer wong install till spring since the roof and with snow and ice it isnt safe. Finally after my garage door came in late by over 16 days. Took them more days before it could be delivered. Called at 645 in the morning saying they would bein less than 5 minutes, deliver was 8.The door arrived damaged and with the wrong parts, took days to get the incorrect parts ordered again, only half of them made it. Called again and was referred to call door company myself. Got them to resend the parts, Found out the replacement panel hadnt even been ordered yet. 1.5 weeks later.Installer came out. Tried to install them after taking the door completely apart again. And something just didnt seem right. Called cloplay again tech support , found home depot ordered the wrong parts, so resending the same parts did nothing Got new parts sent out. Finally came in last week and installer came outfinally nstall the correct ones finally 4th visit from the installer, no thanks to home depot. The screws will no longer stay tight since its been apart so many times already, still waiting on the replacement panel that was damaged in shipping what I can see I may see it by the 1st of the year maybe. The original date my door was to come in was the 15th of October. This is horrible customer service.Since they misordered everything it seems, hardly any follow up as to my complaints. Was not even I a hurry to fix their mistakes in a timely manner. Order me the wrong replacement parts.I ordered a garage door to replace my old broken worn one that was falling apart and wouldnt open anymore so I could park my cars back in my garage, which Hd didnt bother to order the door 2 weeks after I played for it (found this out talking to Cloplay) when they told me to call and order the parts myself. I had my cars broke into and belongings stolen out of them, since they were left outside and not in my garage since the door arrived 2 weeks late and with incorrect parts.I ordered new windows to replace old leaky windows in hopes to be installed before winter to help cut down on heating bills. I finally got the correct parts to install them last week. Installer is telling me unless it warms up hes not risking it to install them on a snow covered roof and may be till spring.I was offered measly 225 bucks weeks ago when I first brought up the wrong and missing parts. I dewalt a bit offended on this, and they failed to order the correct parts the second time and I was told to do it myself.I was told that they could have had them come out and install everything and not use my own installer. They couldnt get me the products ordered in the store done the same way if they installed them. The price on the windows was more then double if the cost of the windows of I ordered them. But the install cost was only 150 a window....... or the cost of the install was not really 150$$ but they would not show me an itemized breakdown of cost of the window vs cost of install, it was an all inclusive price per window. This further must explain why it costs double since they would have to pay their installers extra for them mis ordering stuff having to come out multiple times. So here I am with a garage I can finally use, but half of it is filled with windows I cant get installed because of unsafe conditions due to snow and ice on my roof.. and my installer not wanting to damage the windows or risk injury of his workers on a snowy ice coveredSo Ill let you know if Hdsteps up and even attempts to try to fix their mess up, my hope is not very high on this.
I do not like the store. I never have and I never will. I have been in several across Ohio and theyre all the same. Its hard to find help, and when you do they act like theyre doing you a favor. And then most of the help dont know what theyre doing or talking about. Its too bad I could not have rated this less than one star.
★★★ Only giving three stars for customer service and employees. Store knowledge and respect should be taught before being hired. I spend a lot of money at this store and employees have scoffed at me when I have asked for help, and other times they have been dimwitted when I asked questions about some products.★★★★★ They have good merchandise and they have items the other two box office stores do not; prices are fair and competitive with Lowes and Menards.
You guys have so many employees on the floor doing absolutely NOTHING and you can stand in front of their faces and they stare right through you. This is the 4th time Ive been at your location this week after buying my home and its the same thing each time. I dont know why I even bother doing this because youll do nothing to change it. Ive got an idea ..... Put corporate on the floor and let them pretend to be a customer and youll see just what I mean.
Home Depot on Arlington has really gone downhill. The store is always a mess, rarely can you find help that knows their department, and the overhead stock is never moved down until a customer requests it resulting in a long wait. I have shopped here since it opened and I have never seen it in worse shape. Website says they have 106 bags of this pea gravel and this photo shows what a customer sees. Most likely they are overhead and would take 20-30 mins to get them. Save yourself the hassle and go to Lowes or the Canton store which seems to be ran better.
This place has changed so much over the years. When they were the new store in town the older employees would run towards you to help you. The young kids have their faces in their cellular phones. If you ask them something theyll point you in the direction of the item and then they are right back to their Tic-Toc.
Went to Home Depot on Arlington St in Akron Ohio, ordered carpet. They came out to measure and the guy measured the room wrong, then told me that Home Depot did not do carpet borders. After receiving a call 2 days later from customer service saying the charge was $1200, that was without padding or the carpet border. So I called Home Depot and told them this charge doesn’t make sense. They sent a another person out to re-measure. Then I had to wait 3 more weeks to get on the schedule for installation only to be told that I had been removed from the schedule because the mfg had not shipped the carpet, yet no one told me this. Then I finally get a new appointment only to be told that they do not know when they are coming out and I would need to be available all day 8-5.....i called Home Depot to tell them this is unacceptable, they told me the installers would call me in between 3-5 on 11.6.19 to let me know what time they were coming out....never got the call. The next day they just showed up and they didn’t even have the right color carpet I ordered....so I have to wait another 2-3 weeks and take off work for the 3rd time
This Home Depot has one of the better professional service departments in the area. They are geared more for Pro or Semi-Pro work than most area stores. The store is nicely laid out and the help is quite knowledgeable. Due to their higher volume they do stock more items than several of the area stores, still not quite volume of North Canton or Cuyahoga Falls.
Had to go to the lumber department for finish lathe. No one that normally worked in lumber was available. No one had any idea where to find what I needed and they ended up telling me to get the wrong product, saying it was the same thing. Unfortunately, Lowes was even worse. 😕
Does ANYONE WORK HERE ANYMORE?? This place has got very bad. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, EMPLOYEES STANDING AROUND TALKING ON THEIR PHONES NOT WILLING TO HELP AT ALL, ACT LIKE THEY DONT SEE YOU. PLEASE START GOING RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD TO LOWES. MUCH MUCH BETTER SERVICE THERE. 10-08-20 5:39PM.
On July 9 I went into the Home Depot, immediately after I entered I noticed a lady with a very big dog blocking one section of the carts. (She was kneeled down doing something with the dog.) I approached the other rows of cart with hesitation because dogs are unpredictable and I had a bad experience with a dog. In any case as I approached the carts the dog jumped at me. Luckily I was on the phone and mind a lil distracted because I probably would have screamed very loud. Irritated going into store a I made a statement to person I was talking to on phone that I was irritated and why people dont consider that people are afraid of dogs and why dont they leave them at home. The young man working there looked at me with a smirk on his face like something was wrong with me and said we allow dogs here. I shared my experience and he said nothing and neither did the lady. I think there is a place for dogs. When is the last time a dog made purchase at your extablishment? Have your sales went up due to this decision? NOONE should have to entertain someone elses dog while shopping. After sharing wat happened the young lady at checkout apologized.

2022-01-04Great deals always but awesome deals on flooring right now. Also 75% off what Christmas items are left.

2022-04-02One of the many businesses in the area making our community look like a trash dump. Lots of trash all over the property. Super disappointing that no one cares.

2022-06-14I had a bunch of large, heavy items I purchased. I was shocked that no one in the checkout offered to help me load my car. In the parking lot I found an employee and asked if he could please help me load my car. I could not believe what a hassle he made it out to be. Thats your job!! He was very irritated, making comments about how heavy my items were. I ended up lifting everything myself while he watched!! What a lazy sob!!!

2022-02-20Great customer service. I was there too do some shopping for my newly remodeled bathroom and I loved all the choices that they have on display. But Im not happy about the star credit card I had that I received as a gift they would not let me use it because it was not in my name. It was a gift for Gods sake why would have to be in my name? It was in the name of the person that bought it. So I had to call that person and have them send a copy of their ID so this is the reason why they got at 3 star

2022-04-23Okay my wife and I had noticed that home Depot was carrying raised flower beds 2x2 x6 metal, we noticed them in the lawn and garden section two weeks ago now I live close to home Depot and Im usually there a couple times a week and Ive kept going back there and there they set. Three packages of three with a sign priced three pack $199 so my wife gets some gift cards fast forward to today I loaded three pack up on my cart theyre still back there banded together all three of them same three signs take one up to the register and the kind lady says sir it is not a three pack for $199 so she walks around to one side and scans a UPC code and it rang I believe 157 156 somewhere around there and she said thats how much they were each, so a manager comes and she says sir theyre not a three pack for that price and I said well the sign says it and she says that its the wrong sign and I said on all three for the last two weeks I said thats the only reason why my wife and I decided to purchase them. So I didnt cause a scene I left and I called the manager he checked it out for me he went back there and he said it was a mistake that they were supposed to be individual and I said sure they have been sitting back there for 2 weeks with that sign on them in a bundle I said and now all of a sudden today is the day that you realize that theyre not sold as a bundle theyre supposed to be separate. I told the young man I said I have been shopping home Depot now for the last 22 years I live in the neighborhood I can throw a stone and hit the building I have no problems driving 3 miles farther there go to Lowes and be one of their customers because that is just downright rotten and the better Business bureau might hear about it.

2022-06-01My husband and I had a horrible experience with Sadie in customer service on memorial day 2022. NEVER have I run into any one as unprofessional and rude as this woman. She continued to bad mouth my husband and I where we could hear her while waiting for a manger. Even after another coworker came over to assist us she still came back and asked us to move to a different register to get out of her way instead of waiting for the manager. When the manager came to the front she acted like the nicest person ever. I filed a formal complaint but have yet to hear from the store manager as I was told he would call as a follow up. Please move Sadie from customer service to somewhere in the back if are going to continue to employee her. Her personality is not suitable for a customer service role.

2022-03-09A young man by the name of Adrienne helped us immensely! We were looking for windows and sliding glass doors and he knew exactly where to find everything we needed and didn’t make us feel like a bother. He also helped us find a ring doorbell chime. It was in a very small box. It almost felt like he was a personal shopper because he was so helpful! He was great!

2022-05-25Everything we needed for our project was in stock. Plenty of staff were available if we needed them. The staff member who helped us was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and knew to recommend exactly the parts we would need for this project. Great store.

2021-12-29Bought more than I came in for! Found everything, except one thing that I came in for. No worries, as the staff were extremely helpful in locating the last thing. One thing that I bought that was not planned were the amazing wood floor cleaning pads. Had trouble finding these other places and they are great quality!
