I was able to buy my item online through their website and pick it up in the store with very little hesitation.I called their phone number and they asked me to text the number to verify that the item was ready for pickup.Once they texted me back, I had it right on over and picked it up no problem.The man at the counter was even nice enough to remove the price which had been written on the box with a magic marker.
This place has a NO return policy and terrible attitude. Even if the product is defective, they dont give you your money back.Actually, your glow stick was good, but I did NOT refuse to come in --because I live an hour away I asked you if I could mail it in and I didnt need the attitude. I asked you if this stick was defective and could I get a refund and you said ...no. Ok. When I said that I did not like your refund policy, you hung up the phone on me. As a customer, I can take my business someplace else where people are more helpful. Take care.
Im new to this store but Im already crazy about the place! The owner has been very accessible when I have been in store or inquired about products. You simply cant beat the prices here on many items. I saved over 100$ buying a truck and batteries here. There was a MANUFACTURER defect in the truck that the store was in no way responsible for, however they were willing to fix the issue and replace the part free of charge and no questions asked. Im excited to become a regular customer of The Hobby Shop of Elyria! Now what do I want next!?
I wouldnt recommend this place. Will sell stuff u cant use. Then give you an attitude when u ask them to explain how to use. They are ok if u know what u need and have no questions. Ive spent 1000s there I will be taking my business elsewhere.The reply below says it all. I dont know if that was owner or employee but its definitely same lazy a$$ wouldnt even get out of his chair to greet u or assist you. If he leaves or gets fired I would think about coming back as a customer. I didnt get loud or disrespectful until I felt like u obviously wasnt listening to the question I asked.
Went in with first nitro truck and overwhelmed them with questions and they went above and beyond to help me out with everything ! Still been going back ever since great people and now .y friends can make a list and they come through with knowledge parts numbers and advice you may not like to hear but need to listen they know what theyre talking about and are in my opinion experts by far in nitro rc love it 5 stars hobby shop of elyria AAA+++
Amazing people, love coming here just talking to the staff and having a good time on the track with random people who also enjoy the hobby. Today I purchased my first street badger and was extremely happy with how I was treated. That’s why this is the spot to go for anyone’s RC addiction like mine lmao. Relaxing driving and bashing after a day at work
Horrible place I’ve been going to this store 2016 and I’ve experienced on 4 different occasions where I felt unwanted and looked down on, they talk to you any type of way. They expect you to know everything already, because when I had questions about something the tone in the guys voice was so unprofessional and unwelcoming, also ide like to add that they didn’t want to give me my money back on the Xmaxx that I ordered from them and hadn’t received in over a month, and I’m very understanding about what could be possibly be the reason on why it’s late but I don’t have explain as to why I don’t want to wait anymore I just wanted my money back and “the owner is the one I talked to and he very disrespectful and unprofessional, he yelled and talked over me and didn’t let me explain my side and just hung up on me. Definitely won’t be going back there. I’ll be going to Bad L’s they treat you with respect and really explain things to you and actually have respect. I’m not mentioning Bad L’s hobby store just because I’m upset, they actually made me feel comfortable, wanted and respected. I’ll give a 0 star if I could about hobby of Elyria.
Haha yea this place used to be good now is ran by a money hungry dude who thinks he knows about RC when actually he doesnt know left from right. BAD Ls is the new go too. These people here could care less about your business. Also shows how bad he handles customer service by replying to the bad Google reviews. Pathetic
Negatives: customer service, product knowledge, shop environmentExperience:Situation 1: walking around shop with a set of wheels and tires, mentioned to my son these are for his Traxxas stampede, employe states “let me see those, they are not for a stampede” after overhearing our conversation. Handed employee product, after a bit of confusion he hands them back and says “people don’t know what they are buying 1/2 the time. $70 Wheels and tires we had actually were factory traxxas parts for a stampede chassis vehicle. Advice: be helpful rather than condescending: Hi sir, do you need help with anything? Can I check to see if those fit your vehicle?Situation 2: Another customer walks into the shop and asks employee do you build model cars? With a pause, says my 2 year old grandsons really likes.... was then was rudely interrupted by employee saying “don’t give a model car to your grandson” after an odd pause the customer for her question out... she simply wanted to know what paint she could use on a car to match a theme her grandson liked. Employee replied with an attitude, “any paint here”Situation 3: I was looking for parts for an existing Rc vehicle we had. Decided to ask employee. Offered part name, location on vehicle, and vehicle make model and generation. This axial vehicle is still in production.employee reply’s back with:” they don’t have a parts list on their website I don’t know what you need.” I pulled out my phone and within 30 sec was able to pull up the parts diagram with part numbers. I provided the employee the part number I needed (it was a bearing) employee barked “what size is that” and refused to look up the part number. Advice: take the time to work with your customers. As you know customer service is what builds your business, and parts are the bulk of the sales. If you don’t know an item off by hand, take the time to look it up for the customer, they are coming to you for a service.If the customer is to do all their own leg work on a purchase like this, they may as well just enter info into Amazon, pay %25 less than the shop, and get the part next day. It’s unfortunate because I am a huge fan of supporting small business, will go out of my way to support and pay the slight price difference (this store is 3hr from me)... local shops are what keep this hobby alive, experiences like this are why these shops decline and disappear.Situation 4:Was looking for an upgraded part for a traxxas made vehicle. Employee stated “I dont recommend modifying that vehicle” for reference, this is a current vehicle that traxxas has a whole line of hop up modifications for... factory supported. I asked again for a specific part, a “380” size motor. Employee referred me to a “550” size motor that was 3x the physical size as the one requested, he insisted it would fit.Bottom line, employee did not demonstrate knowledge of the product line, or basic Rc components. Additionally, did not support modification... hop up parts account for large portion of sales in this industry.Conclusion: To many other hobby shops out there with suburb staff that value your business. I would not send business to this one.
I see the good review is from the salesman I met at the store today, he used his own picture for the review. That doesnt say much for this places reputation. This place is a joke.Last visit was last week, they still have no inventory. Friend called there asking for parts and was told would need to be ordered in, they dont have any parts. Time for this place to close.Update: The owner of this place needs to grow-up and stop acting like a spoiled 10yr old with these crazy rants. Customers have the RIGHT to express how a store has treated them, that is what this is all about. As the owner you need to listen to what the customers have to say and do your damn best to fix the problems. Your store has the worst reputation in NE Ohio. You have been in business less than 6 years your Dad was in business for 25 years. His good rep does not carry over to you. You need to close the store and move to another part of the state.
The owner is rude. Took 200 dollmax 5 there to put some leads on up price at end and ruined my electronic. Place is a bunch of idiots. Go to other hobby shop . I went in to buy some parts for my radio control car and they refused to help me find the parts I needed, I was also interested in purchasing one of their used vehicles they had on the shelf and they would not give me any information or answer any of my questions about it. I have been a customer for over 9 years and I will not be returningI am not a troll this was my exact experience. That is also not the first time Ive had a similar experience. I needed simple parts for an ecx vehicle and wanted some information on a used vehicle and got neither. Your response is a perfect example of your service
This place is freaking AWESOME!!!!! The owner was very knowledgeable especially after I explained to him that I was new to the RC world. He gave me some really good pointers and offered great customer service! The only reason for leaving 5 stars was because I couldnt leave 100!!!!!
I will never understand how rude people have to be. You shouldnt speak to people as arrogant as the salesman was. He was very uninviting! Weve shopped there before and never had an issue. Unfortunately today was unacceptable! We will spend else where from now on. I hope the owner was not the young guy there today!
I put a drone on credit card when I could’nt afford it because of medical bills. I went in the next day to return it and they wouldn’t credit my charge card. It was never even out of the box! They never mentioned the return policy which was posted on a wall in a place with other papers. I feel they’re trying to hide this policy and take advantage of the customer. I will definitely let everyone know about how they only offer store credit. I have one hobbyist who I told right away and he said that he will never set foot in that store again!!! I think in the long run they will lose more than the $54 that their ‘POLICY’ would not allow them to return. I found them to be rude and sarcastic as when I left the store the big guy sarcastically said ‘HAVE A GREAT DAY’. When I purchased the drone they were nice but never try to return for cash or credit on your card they were very unprofessional.PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHO YOU BUY FROM!!!
I could only give this hobby shop 3/5 at its current state.They have a good amount of replacement parts both in stock and upgrades.The staff is like most other companies. Some are great at customer service some just down right dont belong in an environment dealing with people.My major complaint about the company is the way they handle there inventory. DO NOT check there website and expect to drive to the shop to buy something that is in stock.I was told by a gentleman at the counter that I should have called before coming to buy said item. Why in the world do you have a inventory system on your website then!?I have been calling about a particular helicopter for 2 weeks now and its still unavailable. They keep giving me the same old answer. Keep calling back to check.This could be an excellent shop if they tightened up the ship so to speak.UPDATE:I like how you- as a business owner assume that you are dealing with people that are not familiar with E-commerce. Perhaps you should invest a little more time in to inventory management to make your in store transactions actually reflect your online inventory..Sorry I was assuming that your 30 year business had a capable staff that could manage to manage there online inventory.Care to try to be a little more condescending?
Getting ready to buy my first RC truck. The folks at strongsville hobby took a lot of time explaining everything about RC trucks. Very helpful , friendly service. All I need to do is make a decision on the truck I want from the large inventory they have on hand. Its nice to know they are there to advise me on any questions I might have in the future. I was impressed with the huge supply of replacement parts they have . I will be back soon !
1st visit here & the customer service was superb👍. Much better in my opinion than my experience with hobbytown in Mentor OH. Would very much recommend this place for replacement parts and/or vehicles not as large an inventory as hobbytown in mentor but. Always has parts when I needed, A further commute from my home than hobbytown Mentor but well worth the customer service experience.
Called up there right before close looking to purchase a Traxxas. Asked if it was ok to still come up even though they were closing soon. Told me to come up. Got there and he went over all the trucks they had in stock and all the differences. I was able to pick out the one I thought would work best based off of all the information he had told me. Family owned place and great people. I highly recommend them if you are getting into the hobby or need parts or service.
Just not worth the drive. Prices to high, staff to arrogant and ignorant. Just not worth the aggravation anymore. Ive spent a lot of money there and bought many cars, but when you cant even get a spur gear and are then told you should just order it yourself or wait till it comes in, pure B.S. I hope you enjoyed the 30+ years you keep bragging about because I dont see how you can be open for many more with the lack of service and rudeness that is overwhelming there now.
Horrible customer service made a purchase of 450$ wich is not life changing money purchased 2 separate vehicle’s (RC) Cars one being a rock crawler other being a electric short track car upon opening the rock crawler one of the lower link bar that goes to the suspension to the rear was broke the following next day I call up to the shop to let them know that one of the bars with a plastic bushing was broke I then received a text message that the replacement part would come in in 3 business and it would be 20$ in total for the replacement parts I received that in text after I already sent in pictures of part that was broke I then. Called to ask I have to pay for a part that was broke after I received it damaged buyers please beware of their customer service I had a very bad experience glad this happened after 450 and not years down the road and me spending thousands of dollars horrible customer service and clearly the box was damaged that the crawler the rc car was in nice selection and definitely a lot of knowledge of the hobby customer service sucks I spent 450$ and I guess they think I’m trying to get a 5$ sway bar for free bad bad bad experience do not shop there👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻🙏🙏
I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with this hobby shop, I’ve given them chance an chance again to still be not helped or either simply told we don’t have this. For example today I went in with my son to get shocks for my rc truck while the worker didn’t greet me when I walked in the door and just kept fixing another guys rc car. I was trying to look for what I needed with no help while the drunk customer whose car was getting fixed kept annoying me. More people came in an the only one who got helped was the guy that bought two rc’s. I fianally got fed up and left with 4 ppl waiting to still be helped. Wasted over an hr standing there. Also another bad experience was when I had sent my girlfriend up to buy me a lipo battery an charger, next day I go up to get a connector for it an he tells me this battery is to small for my truck when I wrote on paper what truck I had an this is what he provided and then proceeded to tell me he didn’t sell it me. Told me there was nothing he can do about taking the new battery back for store credit towards the correct one. Horrible shop and I will take my business to the other hobby shops.
Sort by lowest rating here in the reviews and read them all....be sure to read yelp and yellowpage reviews as well. This shop will stand between you and a very expensive purchase being returned to the manufacturer even if it fails within 2.5 hours of LIGHT use! They will lie and insist you abused it.. RUN AWAY from this hobby but more importantly this store!
I was the manager of another hobby shop in the cleveland area for 20 yrs. any time we couldnt help or didnt have a part a customer was looking for, I would send them to strongsville hobby. I never in all that time had anyone come back and complain about the help, products, or prices. And when I would call to see if they could help my customer out, they were always pleasant to deal with. And if they had a customer who was looking for something that we had at Southeast, they would send them over. That doesnt sound like a shop that is only in the hobby business to make a buck and screw the customer to me. I would tell any of my friends to shop here and I shop there now. Great store!
Ive never been to the store, didnt even know it existed until I stumbled upon it on Google maps. I sure as hell will never visit the store based strictly on the fact that the owner continually goes on brat-like rants while responding to 1 star reviews. Thats incredibly unprofessional. The customers say that the employees are arrogant & rude. The owner denies that.. then continues to be arrogant in his/her responses. Id give you a -5 stars if I could.
A relative bought a quad copter as a gift for me here. I called and asked if they offer flight lessons. Guy was extremely rude and said they did not offer any sort of lessons, even though they told my relative that they did at the time of purchase. Shady shop I will not go back. Just shop Ebay, better prices and some of the sellers actually support their products.
They have a decent amount of product for the nowadays hard to find brick and mortar hobby store. But I have to agree with the other actual customers on here. The staff is unfriendly, and if they actually acknowledge you, abrasive and arrogant. Its not uncommon at a gun store to have the occasional blow hard clerk, but at a toy store? Come on.
Absolutely one of the worst hobby shops ever. They have nothing in the shop that’s actually worth buying. The owner is rude and looks like he doesn’t even want to be there. I also find it amusing he made fun of my dead grandpa and laugh at me. He will find out something you loved and then make fun of it. Don’t go if you don’t want your heart broken
I love this place! Go there often ! If you have a question and you ASK then they are very knowledgeable and tell you what they know about what your asking. Also people talking about high prices ?? I have never been overcharged for anything they have AWESOME PRICES!!. The response time on Facebook is amazing and since I’m 30 mins away I contact on Facebook first and then go down and they always respond quickly to my messages, I’m glad I have a local hobby shop near me that I can go and support thank you Strongsville Hobby of Elyria!
Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Google mapped on my way from New York to Indiana. This place is very nice and is just like hobby shops when I was a kid. Great selection and fair pricing! Picked up a Traxx Quad Copter, charger, and spare batteries. Win. Good honest folks.
The owner sold me the wrong parts that dont even fit on my e revo. So I came back in the next day to get the right parts and the guy thats working said that he cant do anything bc he wasnt the guy who sold it to me. Now my truck is in pieces and I cant fix it now. They fixed it and made everything right.
Strongsville hobby has been good to me. Ive bought several things from them throughout the years even before they moved to Elyria. Ive never had a problem. They switched out a damaged receiver for me before even helped set up a new one. The one thing I will say is prices are a little higher. Example the new TRX4 Bronco is 399.99 at a local shop in Lorain that tends to be at least $50 cheaper on most vehicles. But sometimes convenience is worth the extra money.
The owner of this place sucks.hes rude to customers and even to his employees.he is very impatient and obnoxious.he knows his stuff, but its not worth the attitude.and i agree this is like a second hand store that has a crappy no return policy.sorry, but i will travel to hobbytown in mentor before going here again.
Nice shop, just dont deal with the old man. Very rude, will tell you they are closed when you drive a half an hour to get there for one part for your rc when they are open for 5 more minutes.Was sold a redcat racing electric starter that had missing parts and they denied they had a car that was mine because they were trying to sell it for $50 because it had been there for 2 months (due to unforseen events)I had to pay $75 to get it back and it hasnt started since.
The place is awful. They know the parma hobby and a hobby house in North Royalton and hobby lobby in Strongsville all closed, so they know they can just treat you any other way they won. The airplane guy is an unhelpful prick, has started and argument with me every time Ive gone in there(every Friday to spend at least half of my paycheck). The helicopter guy is worse, but Ive only seen him once. This was the time that I brought twi helis with me asked for the replacement parts and was given the wrong parts for the wrong helicopters. This is after he tried condescending me about not knowing how to fly a collective pitch helicopter what he doesnt realize is that Ive been flying since fly bars and he doesnt even know what those are. I know nothing about planes and the airplane guy who sold me the wrong motor and ESC package three times, and talk to me in the buying that awful spectrum DX eat, told me it was everything that I was supposed to be in more and spectrum doesnt even supported anymore. Now thats my fault I shouldve looked it up first, but thats why you go to the hobby shop instead of ordering online is because you are the customer service and the knowledge that they are supposed to have. Of course the only way to return anything is to speak with the owner, Ive never seen him. Ive left messages and was told he would call me back and he never has. Therefore I will find some use for the miss sold parts, and I will go back to ordering online waiting a couple of days paying half as much and getting twice my moneys worth. God I really missed that great of a guy at Parma hobby. I hope he reads this, and remembers me as the guy with all the tattoos in the long hair that he really didnt care for. But even though the guy didnt like me he still took excellent care of me was able to explain everything that I needed to know and help me with any product that he sold me
Ok, let me tell you about our experience with Strongsville Hobby. So, my 12 year old son has been wanting a small rc vehicle to run around the inside of our apartment over the winter. He already has a couple of larger hobby grade vehicles (a brushed 1/10 truck and a brushless 1/10 buggy), but wanted smaller hobby grade one. We visited the store yesterday (Saturday 1/2/16) and it was somewhat busy. We were there for about 30 minutes and couldnt get the attention of any of the workers there. We wanted to ask a simple question, what 1/24 scale rc would you recommend for my son. They had two within out price range. The ECX 1/24 Ruckus and the Redcat 1/24 Sumo. So, we eventually decided to just grab the ECX and go up to the counter and wait in line. Finally, we got a chance to speak with a worker. The worker enthusiastically recommended the ECX 1/24 Ruckus over the Redact Sumo. Well, he must know what hes talking about right? He works at a hobby store that specializes in RC vehicles and repairs. We bought the rc and my son was thrilled, smile ear to ear. I was so thrilled he was happy. THEN, we get home, charge the rc and it runs for... 4 minutes. Yep, out of the box, the ECX 1/24 Ruckus has a runtime of 4-5 minutes and after cycling through a couple of charge it increases to 7-9 minutes. The next day, we called to explain the runtime and how it does not compare at all to the Redcat Sumos 30 minute runtime... how my son was unhappy, but it didnt matter. They dont do returns or exchanges unless the vehicle had an actual mechanical problem out of the box. Making the customer happy is not a part of Strongsville Hobbys vocabulary. Now, Im not saying they were rude about it. They explained that it was now used and that they couldnt resell it...ok, I get it. But, if I would have purchased this on Ebay, coulda got the same one for less and with a no questions asked return policy... what? I know its rough when youre an owner of a small business, but you gotta have a return policy. My son is heart broken and now... it gets worse. After my son drove the ECX around our living room a couple times today, the 4 wheel drive went out on it. He didnt crash it hard into anything. The front left wheel just broke free of the dogbone and now it doesnt work right. Guess what? I bet you a million bucks I call Strongsville Hobby and theyre gonna either tell me to bring it in and charge me for the parts/repair or tell me to call Horizon Hobby (the manufacturers of the ECX), I guess Ill just skip Strongsville Hobby and call Horizon tomorrow. So, word of warning. If you buy anything at Strongsville Hobby, prepare to pay more than you would online (which, if you want it right a way, I can understand paying and supporting your local stores) the is no RETURNS OR EXCHANGES if your purchase is not what you wanted or expected. They may work with you if theres a mechanical defect out of box, but I wouldnt trust a place who lets down my 12 year old kid and takes $75.00 from him for an RC car that is a piece of junk. I just cant believe this place. I will NEVER walk into this store again, NEVER. They lost my business for life and I will spread my story throughout Northeast Ohio. If you dont care for your customers satisfaction, then you shouldnt have customers at all...period. Sorry, guys, but youve gotta make some changes or youre gonna lose more business.
Not the place to go if your new to the hobby or not sure what your looking for. Also have never seen such a bunch of unhappy employees.... how can they be so unhappy working in a hobby shop. Don’t waist your money on there track either, it’s not maintained well. Iv gone here for years and they just get more and more disappointing.
Go here Everytime for a great selection of BSA approved pinewood derby materials......And great guidance in how-tos. They have an RC track outside that I have not used. Very helpful with repair services or troubleshooting including comms and electrical issues. Welcome repair and small engine work too at reasonable rates.
Little to no customer service. If they order the wrong part for anything they think its your responsibility for their mistake and make you call the company to get the part. NOT the lowest prices around, in fact 2 other hobby shops near me have lower prices than strongsville hobby. If you want better service and better prices just go to clearview hobby or order online. Also to the owner of strongsville hobby stop trying to cover your ass by bitching out other peoples comments because you know they are true and you dont do anything about them.
I saw the comment above and they hit the nail on the head. Prices too high. Staff arrogant and ignorant I was willing to pay the high prices to not have to wait for shipping but not after that experience. Its a shame hobby stores are a dying breed and that kind of service will not get them very far.
Tom always gives great customer service, great product knowledge, and is always willing to teach beginners how to do typical maintenance on their rc cars. The Hobby Shop of Elyria goes above and beyond to meet and exceed the customers expectations. Lonnee is also very knowledgeable and helpful! Both Lonnee and Tom have helped me through several applications on my RC car. I have tried other hobby shops and no other compares to these guys and this shop!
Absolutely nothing about this shop is worthy of bragging about. After 30 years you should have more customer respect. We are not professional and we do not make our living doing this so please dont treat us as if we are less than human.Lonnie Steve and the man behind the curtain are slightly more rude than actually need to be. I expect that this will be responded to in a more than defensive manner. But I just wanted you to know that you as a store suck and you customer service stinks. I have taken this issue to the BBB. I dont wish you any harm but just wish that you were your own customer for a moment.You sirs have been the ones who have been doing the assuming. And you know what that means.
I got into different hobbies because of my brother, he was into RC planes RC boating Quad copters and RC cars. He passed away last year. Before he passed away he had gotten me into the hobby as well. The first hobby grade RC anything I have ever bought was from this store. I also sell things for a living so good customer service is very high on my list of priorities when it comes to where I spend my money. This place is great! I have spent thousands of dollars with them over these past 3 years. I also have gotten into serveral other hobbies simply by spending time in the store getting something fixed that I broke. I now own 6 quad copters 4 RC cars a a stunt kite, a battery charger that would recharge the Star Ship interprise and 1 HD camera that I use to capture the fun. All bought from this one store. I have gone to the 4 other hobby stores within Clevelands 75 miles radius and this one is the best. They have staff that play in different hobbies and they know what they are talking about. Could I buy online and spend less sure, but I like to go to this store its fun and the service is the best. They have even stayed late past closing a few times to help me. I live in Cleveland 40 mins away from this store and drive past Parma hobby to get to this store.
Im a total amateur when it comes to RC things besides my toys as kids. I decided to research and get into RC planes. Thomas at Strongsville Hobby of Elyria was so helpful in getting me what I needed to get started, while looking for the most fun, and not breaking my bank account. I actually spent a lot less than I had intended, but I learned a great deal on RC planes. I knew it was a hobby I wanted to do, and eventually build my own foam board park flyer planes.I invested in a DX6 transmitter to fly my purchased Micro P51D Mustang plane and was told by Thomas I was going to crash it having never flown an RC plane, but it happens. So I bought it anyways...and I crashed it after my second run after a good landing...BUT I learned to easily fix it with some glue and tape and get it right back into the air (the plane is foam), and if needed buy cheap replacements to get it flight worthy.My next trip to Strongsville Hobby was to get a flight simulator program to learn to fly with my DX6. This time I went off into the room of RC cars and trucks. After looking around I was interested in getting a cool RC car or truck to go take out on windy days when the plane cant fly. Thomas was more than happy to spend even more time going over every option with me to make my purchase the best one for my budget, but give me the most for my money. I ended up leaving without the truck and just the flight sim program and cable for my controller ...for now.Bottom line, I would trust this store with my hard earned money for my adult RC toys anytime. The staff is knowledgeable, and wont keep trying to dip in your pockets for needless things. If you need a trustworthy hobby store and know what you need, or have no clue at all, I would def go check out Strongsville Hobby of Elyria! I cant say enough good things about this place.
I like this shop they do great work,I seen some negative comments but Ive had nothing but good work and advice.they have most traxxas parts in store Ive ever needed.fair prices yes you can find some thing alittle cheaper if you dont need them right away like I do,but with shipping its most likely only save ya some change.((((((slayer pro 4x4--slash ultimate))))...;0) got dirt!!!!
I and my Husband were completely shocked by this place having Gundam kits only problem is that the shop felt a little cluttered but IDK if they are reorganizing my only wish is that there were more Gundam products in stock but I also understand its a bit of a Niche market but he should definitely advertise these models there are many fans who are unsure or dont want to import these kits
We are a small family owned business for 30 years ,with over 7years in elyria at our new location with our expanded store and store side race track.we are not wal-mart ,we dont sell toys or products that get thrown out,we are a hobby store that you buy parts to fix your vehicle when it brakes,thats the point of a hobby,we have policys that are needed to keep us in business when you compete with walmart and the internet,but the knowledge me and my employees have are matched by none,we offer support and give our knowledge freely,we are honest and will help you in any way we can,we were built and sustain on word of mouth,and the word is good or we wouldnt be in business as long as we have,come check it out for yourself,we are not a big box store,and we are proud of that,if you want toys,bad products and policys that fit your i brake it,but its your fault mentality then shop at walmart,if you want a sales staff with knowledge and if helpful for over 30years then come to us.

2022-08-09This is the best review I can give. the place is loaded with merchandise and this is why. you can tell the guy with the long hair is slowly closing the place down his store keeps getting smaller he was rude and disrespectful. He has no customer service skills and has lost a customer willing to to spend money never going back there if hes willing to let grand walk out the door Id say no one should spend their money there go other places with better warranties he made it clear he doesnt want to make money the guy who is commenting back is full of himself 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2022-04-12The older gentlemen is extremely rude and uninviting. The owner was always a nice guy that was helpful back in the day. The old man has caused me to go elsewhere for my RC needs.**Edit: The Response from The Owners Kid tells you everything you need to know about how they handle a situation and how they run their business Trust me when I tell you to go somewhere else if you need something for your RC cars. 2022-07-01Edit: if it’s such a standard policy why in my entire time of coming to your business did it only happen once? I went to buy 8$ worth of plastic parts and bearings but was denied do to no license. I showed him a picture of my license, and two credit cards with my name on it but apparently rc car parts are so important that’s not enough. This is DESPITE the fact the day earlier when I was there the OWNER sold me just under 200$ worth of parts and did not require ID. Jerry your great, but your employees are the reason your store has shrunk half in size and they are the reason it will lose another customer. When it becomes harder to get rc car parts than it is to board a plane I’m done giving you my business. This is rly frustrating because I’ve been coming here for over 12 years and have NEVER been asked for ID, even when I was toO young to have a credit card and would use my mother’s i had no issues, but now it is an issue even if I have multiple forms of verification that it is me. Unless I have the exact form the employee was looking for he’s not gonna sell me pieces of plastic and metal…

2022-05-27Tired of the lousy no help customer service will not help you out will only laugh at you lack of intelligence and allow you to purchase more n more to further your issues not helpful very conflicting to the hobby Ive spent thousands here unfortunatly and so have my freinds everyone has same issues over it thanks for wasting yet another hour drive for me here and hour back home to leave me hopeless as he says cant give you free advice when we like to charge for that then was kicked out of store by hippy kid and bag guy was only one near reason wont be back

2021-10-08This was by far the best experience I have had. I called and the owner was very friendly, guided me in the right direction. I drove over an HOUR to get here and was completely impressed. I wish he was closer so I can get good quality and well priced product. When my boyfriend saw what I got him he was completely impressed (don’t tell him, but he was in tears because of how great it is). I got him a RC4WD winch for his crawler build. He can not stop smiling. Thank you Jerry for all your help. Keep up the good work.
