I lived here for 3 years and loved it! Beautiful community and fairly priced! Maintenance staff were always prompt! I’ll miss this place so much!!
Ive been a resident of the Highlands since 2016 and have had no issues whatsoever. Staff (including maintenance) all around are great - courteous, understanding, and good at what they do. I recently moved out of the Highlands (even breaking my lease early) due to life changes but the new apartment was SO HORRIBLE I had to get an attorney before reaching settlement out of court. I called the Highlands and not only were they understanding, but we were accomodated again so fast it was incredible. I literally trust no other complex at this point besides these folks - they just do that good of a job. Good prices for the location too. They respect you, you respect them, and everything is near flawless here. Highly, highly, highly recommend.
I have lived here for almost 2 years and absolutely love it! The office staff is great as well as the maintenance crew. They are always quick to fix whatever I need fixed and make sure its done right. Its a clean and safe complex as well. The prices arent too bad for the area either (very convenient location). I recommend this place if youre looking for a nice apartment for a reasonable price!

Awesome service. The staff is super friendly and always speedy to accommodate my every need. After having lived in other parts of Fairborn (the province and Arlington Flats) I would say this community is the nicest, SAFEST, area to live in. Maintenance is a blessing and the women in the office are awesome! I suggest all my friends to check it out whenever they are looking for a place to rent and show should you!
I had an appointment I scheduled a month earlier to look at an apartment that would be ready to rent during my desired move-in time. When I arrived the staff seemed confused when I told them that I had an appointment, and despite my name being on the calendar had no idea what I was there for. Upon further conversation, contrary to my earlier phone calls, there wasnt even an apartment available for rent up to a month after my desired move-in and furthermore, there wasnt even an apartment available for viewing. My father and I drove from Akron fully interested in renting an apartment but were met with unprofessional and unorganized staff. Luckily I was able to drive around and look at the many other apartments nearby with similar amenities and comparable rates.
I hold an apartment and I did all my papers for start my contract in January! But yesterday I came to see how is going! I didn’t see that girl that I was working with! It was lunch break, I met someone she said that she’s the boss! I asked her if everything is good!? She said your salary not enough for take this apartment which is one bedroom!! Then she threw my money order that I gave them for hold the apartment in my face. This is was very rude.( my salary is double the rent three times)
Exceptional. The only complaint after living with this complex for 3 years, is they could stand to upgrade various aspects of the units occasionally. Staff is extremely friendly and down to earth. They dont play games. Maintenance is top class, lived in 5 different complexes in the dayton area, none compare. Fair rates as well. Treat your house with respect and they show you respect when you move out.
I enjoyed living at the highlands. However, I was not a fan of having to pay $250 for repainting (its in the lease) after living there for just 3 months. The process of signing the lease while I was out of state was a lot of trouble.
Ask them to come and check the apartment before you hand over the keys. Be careful. Even one year after you moved out, they try to charge you for everything they can. Dont trust the words only get all things in written.

Love living here. The staff here is amazing, even the maintenence goes out of their way to just talk with you. Very nice community and very clean.
Very nice apartment complex and the only unit that I have been inside of is designed for wheelchair access throughout - very well designed and really nice.
Apartments are alright, facilities and the clubhouse are good, but the rent is high for what you get.

2021-09-18I really love this place. The clubhouse is beautiful, the pool is perfect in the summer. I think everyone is nice here but I specifically have to reference the maintenance team because they are phenomenal. They are out every morning cleaning the complex, I’ve seen them out bright and early walking the entire grounds. They take great pains during the winter months to get out extra early and clear out the sidewalks and the parking lot areas. Every time I’ve had to call in they answer their emergency phone quickly and get to your issues FAST! One day I had an emergency issue and they were on site within minutes. It was unbelievable. I’ve lived in other complexs that made you wait nearly a full 24 hours before responding to an emergency call, so to have these issues taken care of promptly is awesome.My only comment for improvement at all, would be if the apartments themselves were a bit more updated. They give off big 70’s / 80s vibes. I really dont love the carpets throughout the majority of the apartment and they collect dirt so quickly that you’re bound to have to pay for new ones by the time you move out. Its the only improvement note I have... I would rather hardwood floors so I could just buy a rug and not constantly have to clean these carpets. But thats just a personal preference.If youre looking for an awesome complex near the base, this one is it.And bless this maintenance staff!!! Thank you for all you do!!!!

2021-06-18When I moved down to the Fairborn area 4 years ago I went with the Highlands after being referred. I have lived here for 4+ years, and it has always been great. The staff is friendly and maintenance handles any issues quickly! The staff was very accommodating when I needed to move last minute due to work. I would highly recommend living here!!

2021-03-15Maintenance is always fast and comes within 24-hours to fix any problems, which was awesome. The staff are nice, but required multiple emails and phone calls to get questions answered. Also, I had issues with a lingering smoke smell in my apartment almost the full year I lived there. I emailed my concerns to management and received no answers or changes. Just that “there should be no issues”. Finally, in the last month I lived in my apartment they had the HVAC system checked and found out that my unit needed a new HVAC system, which was resulting in poor air quality for me while living there for 11 months. Overall it’s a clean apartment complex for the cost, but definitely not overly nice.

2019-01-04I live at the Highlands for 2.5 years now. During this time I have interacted with all of the staff and they are very friendly., proper and professional in any aspect. They will try to help you as fast as they can. The maintenance people are very nice and kind and will come to fix something as soon as you call them. The area is safe and close to gas station and supermarket. The people who live in the apartments are mostly family people, military and a few graduate students which makes it also a quiet place to live. There is a gym which is free now and that makes a difference as well. The apartments themselves are in good shape. As soon as something breaks they will replace it with a new one. Overall, I am very satisfied with them and I would highly recommend them.
