The place to go in Alexandria! Ha! Actually the place to go for great food and great micro brews in Central Ohio. Dont let the outside appearance fool you. A converted old gas station makes for a great pub/restaurant.
Good food, but expensive. Its 20.00 bucks for a 12 inch sub.
Pizza was way better than I could of hoped for. Will be back. Make sure you park in the back or you will give the locals something to talk about between sluring their words and arguing about which manufacturer of truck to buy.
Stop there and got some food who was real good and was at a decent price
This has become a favorite Friday night spot for us! Friendly service, a little slow - but what do you expect for having one bartender work on Friday night?! Nick works his tail off! Great food, fun atmosphere and local folks. Don’t let the outside fool you!

Very good variety, not superior, of local and rotating beers. The food is conventional bar food with some specialty feature including the wraps (called Pub Crawlers). Definitely a good place to find a good beer and chill for a little while.
Its not just a Pub. I have only been into the gas station side.I needed bread one day & because its the only store in town for about 10miles, I was disappointed to find out that they dont carry bread or much of anything!Now the food from the Pub side is actually very good! I would give them an estimated 4 stars for their food. I have never sat down inside the pub so I cant say anything about service. I have only done carry-out orders. I will say that the service at the gas station is very poor when the man is running it. The newer employee is a woman and she seems to be very nice, so far.
Weve driven past this place 100+ times always thinking to ourselves its a flipn gas station in small quiet country setting. How good could it be? Well, turns out really good and honestly a cool place. Huge craft draft selection with plenty of the usual suspects. Large good looking menu. Not just fried bar food. We did the IPA and burger thing and it was terrific! Bbq/bacon burger and the classic bacon cheeseburger were on point. This place makes you want to hang out for the day. Roll up garage style doors should be mandatory at all pubs!
Lived in the area for years and thought it was just a gas station. The The boom boom crawlers and pizza were excellent an excellent first choice.
Went with a friend who was invited by a girl who goes there frequently and then when we get there is repeatedly harassed about who he knows there and why he is there after we told them we were here, because we were invited and then were asked to leave, for no other reason than some person there told us we had to leave, because shes supposedly also her friend and she doesnt work their tonight and wont be there, even though I know for a fact she doesnt work there but works as an OSU ENT. Hands down the dumbest reason to be told I cant enjoy my beer, listening to music with friends who invited us to be there.
Fantastic beer selection, the staff was friendly & food was delicious ! Im glad I stoped in for lunch. While working near by Parking could be more clearly marked

Awful service. No waitress. Had to place our own order & pick up our own food. When we went to pay our bill to leave we noticed a 20% gratuity had been added. We found that odd since we had no service & had to wait on ourselves. Bartender told us they add this to everyones bill. I have heard different. Manager refused to come out & talk to us. We refused to pay the added gratuity. Paid the rest of Bill & left. Doubt we ever return.
Pretty cool place. Ordered the blt pizza and thought is was really good. My only issue with them is that the dont serve liquor.... but my beer was nice and cold.
This place is great! Good food, good beer, good service, and a very unique atmosphere. Parking can get a little wonky with the limited space but great stop! Just keep in mind that you have to order everything at the bar.
Great local, small-town bar. Bartenders are awesome along with the warm atmosphere. Not to mention, the pizza, subs, and wings are to DIE for!
We was lost on a long motorcycle ride.. Then found the hawks nest. Had a burger and it was the best ever! Got directions and and made our way home... But if Im ever around that way again, Im stopping at the hawks nest again. 100%

I lived in alex for a while. for a 1 light town the bar is incredible. home town feel hot food cold beer and massive garage doors makes for a good environment couldnt ask for more!

Food is great bar food. Would like it if they took orders at the table, other than that its a clean place to eat.
The food was good and the service was quick,What i personally didnt lile is you have to go up to the bar to place your food order and they dont have someone cleaning the tables when people leave, they only get cleared and cleaned when they notice/remember!
Great local pub. Lots of beer on tap and theyre turning out great food for a bar in the country. 2 pool tables and typically a decent crowd of people.

Worthless service. Stand in line for ten minutes, try to order food, told the kitchen closed ten minutes ago. Then told I couldnt be helped because the staff was on their own. Who has one person working bar and kitchen on a Friday night? And who quits serving food four hours before close? Packed bar, no food.
Such a unique place! We drove by this place so many times and didn’t know it was there. One of the best burgers around and friendly staff. We will be back!

Cool bar in a quaint little city. Cold beer. Didnt have food but it looked like a broad menu.

2021-07-10Great little hang out spot in Alexandria with the garage service bays converted into a bar/grill. Friendly bartenders and a pretty decent beer selection. Very fun spot where alot of local folks hang out.

2020-09-19Really good food, just an absolutely unique place. An old garage on the side of a gas station converted into a restaurant and pub. Huge selection of craft beers on tap. Warning, this is not a bar for the hard stuff as they do not serve liquor. If you enjoy beer and a great atmosphere, this is the place for you.

2022-06-12Not sure if the locals realize it or not but covid is over and Im getting real tired of showing up to this place and being the only one there. Literally a ghost town half the time. Its 1pm and Im just arriving to a closed bar on a Saturday.

2017-10-19My new favorite local bar! That really takes a lot from an establishment to pull that off.They have a super friendly staff, amazing draft beer selection and plus they have pool tables and food. The only short fall is no liquor here but everything else makes up for it.

2021-08-11Made my day! I came in over the weekend to relax and grab a beer — they were slammed. Was going to just down it and get back to my truck since I was on my own and felt kinda awkward, but Kayla the bartender there made me feel right at home. She recommended the onion rings, which were out of this world and much-needed for the trip home ahead, and the perfect draft to have with them. Great experience! Will definitely be making this a regular stop.

2021-08-07First time I went there, it was decent. Im at the locals and had some really good wings. Second time I went, the service was less than substandard and the bar staff (Kayla) was more worried about waiting on their (her) friends, their cell phones and the other drama associated with bar life. As a career bartender (almost 25 years) I know that you greet a customer within 30 to 45 seconds of them sitting at your bar. This has never happened here and from what Ive seen, never will. Worst customer service experience Ive ever had. I will not be back. Too bad because the food is incredible, but the people on your front lines suck. Third times a charm.. no more chances.

2021-07-07Great bar food, good beer selection. Staff is nice. I would give it 5 stars but there isnt a lot of parking. If you go there for an Ohio State football game you better be early.
