Well to start the entrance was very unique, it was dressed like a ticket booth with murals of famous horror characters all around. The music was fun and fit the theme of the restaurant and the decor was on point throughout for this horror themed shop. I absolutely loved all the names and references on the menu and what we ordered was nothing less than spectacular for casual brunch out. A bubbly green goblet, bloody red and black waffles and out of this world wonton nachos with chili queso satisfied our appetites. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable on whats on the menu. This is definitely a place to visit if your ever in Cleavland Ohio, the Haunted House Restaurant will most definitely be a topic of conversation for me for a few weeks My wife and I cannot wait to come back here again to try more exciting things on the menu.
Restaurant was great!!! Food...not so much. The theme and theatrics were phenomenal! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure youre having a great time. We went during brunch, the menu was limited and didnt have many options for our liking but we still made the best out of it.
I really liked the nostalgic atmosphere. They were playing various movies of horror on the TV scream. There was a DJ announcing Scream 5 was in the movie theater playing today. The bartender was very attentive and well deserving of her tip!! Not busy at all, reservations do help.
Went here for my friends birthday this past Tuesday. The atmosphere is very unique and cool. Love the movie theater theme and that they give out popcorn. The menu is very limited and could have more items. Our food was very delicious though and so we’re our drinks. The only reason for the four stars is the small menu and that they were out of a few cocktails we wanted to try. But I love how they celebrate birthdays and have people dress up as characters!
I came for my birthday they did a really good job coming out as the purge with their masks and playing the music I got a cookie dessert with fake blood on it super cool. The Freddy fingers were so good and the fries are delicious. Also got the mozzarella sticks with Alfredo sauce were outstanding. Literally must go if you love scary movies
Awesome experience at the haunted house restaurant! Walking in there are so many different horror movie posters and creepy music playing in the background. The food was delicious I had the jaws seafood pizza and I also had the nachos as an appetizer. Pizza is huge!! My favorite part about my time there was the mini game show they have during your dine in experience you Can answer scary movie trivia questions for your shot at a prize.
Cool themed restaurant. Got there when they opened waited 10 minutes for a server to greet us. Once we got a server the service was incredible. Gives popcorn instead of bread... Go for breakfast for cool, odd, unusual food choices. Kid friendly. No parking lot but parking on side of road all nearby.
Our server was great and very helpful. Unfortunately, I cant recall her name I believe it started with a K something like Kayla or something (may have been something different). The food was good and came out to the table smoking hot. I didnt see many employees in real costumes but there was a few. I had a 4:45pm reservation, so maybe it was to early. Im not sure. The ambiance was nice as well. The only issue I had was the Nightmare on Elm Street Corn was over cooked and I think they should add more Halloween fun drinks thats not 51oz. for kids. But, again our server made our experience better!
This restaurant was a total surprise and I absolutely loved it. As a fellow spooky lover, the attention to detail from everything down to the box office hostess booth to the crooked, picture framed scary movie scenes was perfect. The drinks and food were delicious and had a presentation that blew my dad and I away. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere, while horror themed, was welcoming and vibrant. If I lived closer than 4 hours away, I’d for sure be a regular.
So the whole place was a halloween vibe. The staff was so friendly and entertaining. Everything looked so cool from the movies that were on to the smoky drinks. Loved the purged music for birthdays. The food looked scary but what was even more scarier was how delicious it was! It was more than eating out but an experience that allowed me and my best friend to relive our child’s play. Definitely can’t wait to return!!!
The atmosphere was really cool. We went for brunch. The service wasnt the greatest. They didnt bring a glass of wine the was ordered, we had to remind the server that we hadnt got itThey were out of several menu items.one of our meals didnt come out until everyone else was half through their meals. With that being said I would probably give it another try but go when dinner is being served.
We traveled about 3 hours to visit and it was so worth the drive! My kiddos and I love ALL things horror so this place was a must. It was so hard to choose what to order so we’ll definitely have to make more trips. The atmosphere and experience here is truly one of a kind. And I have to rave about the staff and management 🐝 They go above and beyond taking care of you and making your visit memorable.
Very cool ambiance which I’m sure why people come. But I’m in love with the fact that there are multiple vegan options. I got the impossible bird box (which is not made with impossible meat) that’s a fried cauliflower sandwich. Even the kids loved it. The non alcoholic drinks are a real nice touch.
This is probably the most fun I’ve ever had at a restaurant. On top of the ambiance and the fun visual representation of horror and horror films, the food was AMAZING. And I mean amazing. This place deserves higher ratings. Everyone there as far as employees literally felt like family. Everyone was so nice and they even helped me ask my date to be my girlfriend :). Y’all better go!
Giving this 1 star because although the restaurant was decorated nicely, I felt like I was a grown up at Chucky Cheese. Not a good place for date night, it was too noisy. Birthday shout outs every two minutes was very annoying and did it’s job interrupting the conversation. We didn’t even get any popcorn, our waitress wasn’t attentive at all. I didn’t even get a refill and our appetizers came out super late and right before our food. The tables were super small so they have to take all of the plates away before you can put the new ones on your table. The chairs were also very uncomfortable. The price definitely wasn’t worth it at all, we only had 1 appetizers, 2 entrees a dessert, lemonade and a sprite for $80 that’s ridiculous to me for just okay food and a half decent atmosphere, parking was also ridiculous don’t expect to get a good spot. We won’t be returning, this place isn’t worth all the hype.
I went last night for the first time, I made a reservation for 9pm, but we showed up incredibly early. Our plans in Cleveland ended super early, so the hostess suggested the bar, and quite honestly I’m so glad she did, because I had the best time! All of bartenders were very friendly, I loved Angel she was our main bartender and she was not only beautiful outside but inside, she is incredibly funny, and very witty she made the experience! I don’t know if I would have had as much fun at a table. Shug was also right at the end of the bar doing his magic with the trivia, and entertainment. I enjoyed whenever I got an answer incorrect he had awesome quips that made ya laugh instead of feeling bad. Everyone was incredibly easy going! I got the nightmare on elmstreet street corn, and the Nashville massacre apps both were very good, and the pennywise for my entree, I got a kick out of my hands looking like they were doused in blood by the end from the red waffles. The fishbowl drinks are awesome! Loved the decor, loved the interaction with the staff! Love how they acknowledge where people travel from to partake in such a unique place. Definitely want to go back and try brunch! Thanks for making my birthday great!
Our server Maricela was fantastic!! We came all the way from Pennsylvania to try this place out and it was well worth the drive, even got my brother a hoodie to take home with him. The staff was amazing. Food amazing. Everything amazing!!!! We will definitely be back.
Service could have been better. Most employees were just standing around talking. Our server was too quiet and didnt really seem like he liked his job.We werent offered refills or even asked if we wanted one. The burger portion was smaller than thought it might be. Flavor was good, really good, but not throughout the burger. The chicken and waffle came as wings and legs on the waffles. We thought it would be tenders. It definitely should be something where they offer tenders or wings.Sure the wings look cool on the black waffles, but tenders would have made the overall flavor so much better. Also, the sauce destroyed the waffles. Waffles ended up being rubbery and daughter ended up not being able to eat it.Overall its a cool vibe.Fries are really good.
I found this place online. It looked interesting. I have kids and they requested to try this place during our road trip. The address did not come up in maps, so we had to use the intersection for our gps search. We had to circle the block to locate the parking lot. The staff was friendly and polite. The kids loved the decor and the employees uniforms. They took joy in guessing what characters from what movies the employees were dressed as. The service was great. The food was ok. One daughter got the Freddy fingers and said her food was barely warm and not hot. The other daughter got the shaggy and said her food was dry and tasted over done. The night mare on elm street corn was good but could have been warmer. Good experience to try at least once if passing through.
It’s an amazing destination location and the food was amazing. I had all of my servers suggestions and enjoyed everything very much. The theme and fun is unequivocal in my opinion. I opened Dave and Busters in Westland years ago and this is that same kind of Magic and awesomeness. Macho Man is one hell of a Guy. A MUST SEE AND DO FOR NATIVES AND GUESTS to Cleveland’s East side burb CLEVELAND HEIGHTS‼️
My husband & I made reservations for Halloween after we attempted to walk in a day after they opened back in July. Im glad we waited it out because at that time the crowd & wait times were ridiculous/overwhelming(+2-3hrs)!!The staff was friendly & welcoming. Everybody loved our costumes & most of the staff was dressed in costume as well. The atmosphere & decor is like a scary movie theater with movies playing on the TVs. They also give you popcorn while you wait for your food. The menu is themed/ named after scary movies/ characters & is kid & vegan friendly as well. The food presentation was nice & quality was good. They also have trivia & different games periodically thoughout the dining experience with line dances so its really like a party! Id recommend going & making a reservation!
The decor was a mix of movie posters/murals and general Spirit Halloween props. The murals were well done but the decor could be so much better! From the time we came in the restaurant to receiving food was more than a FULL HOUR!During that time, the waitress seemed to be actively avoiding checking on the tables. I heard several other people asking about their food too.I got the “Pennywise,” and I would describe the flavor as “red food coloring.” I knew I was getting a red waffle, but red chicken and red eggs too? Weird.Anyway. I’m glad I can say that I went there, but I won’t be returning anytime soon.
We decided to make the 4 hr drive from Cincinnati because we love horror Movies and everything horror related, as the ambiance and decor is top notch along with the amazing service the food left something to be desired…. Everything we had was overly sweet which gave myself a upset stomach (didn’t expect the pizza sauce to be overly sweet) but overall we will be back next time we are up here- but would just come for the drinks
The food and staff are incredible. WARNING: It is loud because its an interactive dining experience. Which makes it worth the 1.5 hour drive. There is trivia and small prizes. Our food was hot and rather quickly received. They do purge theme for the birthdays!!! It was an amazing experience. 100% would recommend. My family and I will be returning.
Today was our first time here and it was an absolutely incredible experience, very friendly staff! Our waitress alyssa J was absolutely incredible so kind so fun and easy going we had a great time talking with her! She is absolutely amazing she truly made the experience so much better! Also helped in celebrating our friends birthday! Thank you Alyssa. 5 stars to her! Definitely have to come back soon with the incredible food entertainment waitress and of course the free popcorn!! Can’t wait for next time!
The decor/theme is cool & unique. The menu names were crafty & clever to match the theme of the restaurant &the decriotions sound good. The TASTE did not match the expectations. I sampled a few items from other guest who ordered different items and NONE of the items I tried made me want to eat again or even remember. The kids pizza was too small and NOT cheap. They were the little frozen microwaveable kind that come in a sleeve. Our waitress was awesome & attentive. However, the front of the house and or manager could use more experience or training in customer SERVICE.
This place is so cool. Definitely a place for a horror movie buff. The wait staff is extremely friendly and always making sure I was satisfied and in need of a refill. I had the lurch burger and the Nashville massacre. Sorry for the messy plate but it looked so good I ate some before I could take the picture. The burger was also very good (not pictured)
I had a good time here! We had a reservation for 6 at 5pm today. Got there 10 minutes early and we were seated within 5 minutes which was great. Went in with low expectations since reviews Id heard had been mixed but I thought our server and others we interacted with did a great job. There were some little things with the food that could have gone better (didnt bring out plates with appetizers that our table was going to share, the burgers got a little mixed up, hence four stars but really not a big deal for us) but overall we had a good time. Loved the popcorn at the tables. The drinks we had were good, the food was good. I really liked the street corn & the bang bang cauliflower! Got the smoky flight which was decently priced and a fun experience. We took our three year old here and he loved the Mac and cheese. They came over and let him pick out candy out of a pumpkin. He enjoyed the decorations and music. They had a little horror movie trivia game while we were there which didnt go on too long and was fun to be a non competitive part of. Overall, the experience was way better than I had hoped. Keep up the good work and continue to improve! This place is such a unique and fun concept and Id love to come back sometime!
While in town for Cinema Wasteland, definitely wanted to give this place a try! We made it out to brunch and the food did not disappoint! The theming is fun with some BEAUTIFUL mural/painting work (especially love the Freddy vs Candyman piece). Ordered the twilight and the pennywise waffle meals and they were delicious. The maple heat sauce had a nice kick to it! The chefs were clearly passionate about their food and wanted to make sure we received the plates as they were intended to go out.Looking over the price menu it is definitely a bit om the pricey side (mostly the showcase drinks from the bar menu seemed a lot) but we are from out of town so maybe that is comparable to other places around. Had a great meal with great service, thank you!
The haunted house has some great potential, but sadly it was not anything special. I went with a friend and the experience was fun, the music was great, the staff were wonderful and such, but let’s be honest, all of that is nice but what’s the point if the food is not good? I ordered the Slimmer, I thought I was playing it safe because you can’t really mess up waffles, eggs and bacon right? WRONG my meal was disgusting, lacking flavor and all. I ate the bacon which happened to be the only thing from the Slimmer that I enjoyed. My friend got the bang bang cauliflower which wasn’t good either. She disliked her food and to make it worse nothing was hot when it was given to us. Our food basically felt as if it were sitting out for a while. In an attempt to redeem ourselves from our horrible food, we ordered Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was hot thankfully, but it had no flavor either. I had high hopes for this place, and I still think it has potential but my first initial experience wasn’t really that good. Now on to the prices. The price of the food here is pretty ridiculous considering how bland and cold the food is. My friend and I also shared The Mist, which is an alcoholic bowl drink, it was $35 and although I found the price outrageous, it happened to be one of the only things I enjoyed besides my bacon. So all in all, the experience was nice, but the food and drinks weren’t so good.
Although we had fun and the food was delicious the service was not great. The drinks and apps took so long that we got them with our meal. It really does make a difference when your service sucks. We know next time to not come hungry because it takes so long. Maybe more props would also help set off the mood and the music was on repeat lol 😆 you can find more songs to play come on now!!
I love visiting different restaurants for breakfast or brunch on Saturdays. This was a treat. I got popcorn and two scary movies. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is a movie theater. I had their take on Shrimp & Grits. It was amazing. The grits were creamy and tasty.
I was there today and have to admit I was impressed by the appearance of the restaurant and what they are going for. I do think the lurch burger was absolutely amazing and not your average burger so Id have it again. I also had the bird box sandwich which was okay and reminded me of General TSO chicken. The service was slow but the restaurant has not been open for long so I am expecting it to improve over the next few months. I will try it again hopefully in October to see how much they have improved and how much larger the menu has become.
I’m so happy that I finally decided to try this place out. The food and drinks(Poison Apple drink is a must) were so very good. And the names in the menu just makes it that much better. The service at this place I can’t say enough good things about. Our waitress Arianna was amazing and was such a sweetheart. Her recommendations were spot on and not once did we have to ask her for anything cause she was on top of everything on a busy night. Definitely will come again to try something else on the menu.
Waitress Tierra was extremely kind and courteous, it was our first time there and a surprise for my daughter. The food was good and they have a great idea but should definitely add more decor, so much potential with this place! Great Idea. Smaller portions on the kids bubbly drinks would be helpful as well
This place was incredibly fun. We drove 2 hours to try this place out and spent 3 1/2 hours here just hangin with the staff, playing trivia games, and dancing to the music. The food was amazing. It is expensive, but the memories are so worth it. They have movie screens playing all around you, popcorn for appetizers, and their birthday announcements are top tier and will definitely make you feel special. Definitely check this place out, make the most of the experience and you will have fun!!
If I could I would give this restaurant a million star review! They were beyond accommodating. I messed up the closing time, they still allowed my daughter and I to be sat! Not only that but they went ABOVE and BEYOND to celebrate her birthday! I wish I lived closer so we could eat here often! The taco were fantastic. The shell was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. My daughter got the pizza and love it! The crust was phenomenal. Our waitress PJ was so friendly and answered all our questions. I cant rave enough how great the customer service was plus the food matched the top notch service!
Brought my daughter here for her 9th birthday dinner. She had so much fun, enjoyed her dinner and potion bowl. I have never seen her smile so much at a dinner. She loved the trivia games and how interactive the restaurant is. I enjoyed it just as much. Thank you for making her birthday that much more special.
What can I say about this place looks like fun but be prepared to be disappointed. I was fortunate to make reservations for a party of 8 guests the same week. We are from Michigan and drove an hour from our hotel to this place. We were able to arrive 30 mins before our reservation. They dont have a private parking lot so street parking was difficult to find. Once we found a spot we walked to the restaurant. The atmosphere looked like a blast with so many birthday announcements they even had their own Dj. Our reservations was for 9:15pm and we arrived beforehand. We didnt get seated until 9:25pm. Our table was closer to the back of the restaurant where the bathrooms were. Our services was awful. We had to wait until our waitress came over to take our drink order which took another 15 mins. Once she took our order of drinks waited again to actually get our drinks. I guess they are supposed to offer popcorn while you wait but we didnt even was offered or given any. She came with only our alcoholic drink but waited about 30 mins for my kids drinks. We were able to order appetizers with our drink order and that came to our table around 9:50pm by then we already knew what to order for food. Our kids didnt get their drinks until after we got our appetizers. I ordered the Scooby snack, critter stick and Spaulding wings with fries. I did not like the Scooby snack it was too sweet and the shredded chicken was cold mostly looked like they just threw it all in the bowel. The critter was very pricey for just 4 stick of mozzarella sticks. Only thing my kids enjoyed was the wings and fries. We were done with our appetizers and had to wait to actually order dinner. I believe our waitress was more interested in attending other tables than ours because of her lack of attention. Honestly I tried really hard to like this place but the food was not doing it for me and overly priced. In the end my kids didnt like what they ordered. Lurch burger with fries, The birdbox with fries. Kids menu pepperoni pizza and kids waffle. I ordered pennywise and it was very different. Honestly we were the last table to leave for the night. They close at 11pm we left at 11:15pm. My daughters birthday is Halloween and I wanted to celebrate it here but never could tell our waitress about it because she was just not attending to our table. The theme is phenomenal for horror movies but the food lacks and so does service. In the end we ended up speaking with management but cant say we will return.
Cute atmosphere. The birthday purge celebrations are a little loud but I get it. I really enjoyed the bang bang cauliflower. Potion drink was really good as well!Server was very nice but it took us awhile to be approached after we were seated. She was sweet though and apologized. Our drink didnt come out until our food just arrived but honestly, the food came out pretty quickly and I enjoyed it.Overall, would go back if I was in the area!
Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon. Service was a little slow because the they had a single server running the whole place. But the food came out hot and was pretty tasty. Very good mozzarella sticks. The black waffle was good and a sight to see. I didnt care for the Bloody Mary but that just might be my tastes (I think it had extra olive juice in it?). It is definitely a unique place to eat that you wont find anywhere else and is a must-see for horror movie fans.Ill be honest, the whole facility seems pretty rough around the edges for a place that just opened last summer. It feels like they reused a lot of the fixtures and furniture from the old Melt that used to be there, and it shows.A little polish and a full staff would put this place at 5 stars for the decor and experience alone. I hope to see this become a Cleveland icon in the years to come.Fair warning: I have no issue with this but, in case you were curious, this is NOT a place for kids. They play uncensored, old-school rated R movies on screens throughout the restaurant, so consider this a visit for adults only.
My only complaint is that the specialty potion drinks were $22 (non-alcoholic) and the alcoholic ones were $35. Yes, the drink was big, but I wanted to buy one of the non-al for the kids. $22 is too expensive!!! There should be at least one non-al specialty drink that is more affordable. No drink should cost more than my meal. Which was $15. $10 would have been more reasonable. Also, I strongly suggest making a reservation. There were also horror movies playing on a variety of TVs around the restaurant. I liked the atmosphere and the food was pretty good. We got breakfast because that’s the only time slots available. I hope to try the dinner menu next time.
The Husband and I went here to celebrate our Anniversary and had the best time ever! Absolutely awesome staff who serenaded us after finding out it was our anniversary and their intro as they came out was the Freddy Krueger song.. Delicious food and amazing atmosphere! We cant wait to go back!
This place was truly awesome. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a movie theatre atmosphere, which may be why it is so loud in there ( i saw people complaining about that) but it does set the vibe as soon as you walk in, from the hostess station, to the movie reel lighting. A lot went in to set the ambiance. We were actually seated about 10 minutes before our reservation. I will say it was hard to hear our server at times but with masks plus the loudspeaker or music combined, it made it tough. The food was so good, they had staff walking around, checking on tables to make sure we had everything we needed. I will say, it was a good thing they did because we did need to ask for a few items and they were brought out pretty quickly. We played games, watched a birthday purge, and saw some dances so it was a great experience and we will be back in October! There was an issue with an incorrect appetizer that was brought out and then later billed but they took care of it immediately and it was not an issue at all. Good job Haunted House! 👏 We had a blast.
Overall, not worth going to. We made a reservation, showed up early for it, but waited more than 40 minutes after the reservation time to be seated. The saxophone player music was way too loud. The regular music was about as loud as a club, but they would turn it up even more for the saxophone player. That made it difficult to even converse with each other. It gave some of us headaches and my daughter didnt even feel like eating. I heard the Purge intro at least 4 times (too much). The food was a mixed bag. I loved the burger and waffle fries. But other things werent quite up to taste. The decor was great. Our server was awesome.I wouldnt make a reservation if you chose to come here. Just have 2 people walk up to the bar with no wait like I saw others do.
The food is pretty good. This is the second time I have come, and I dont think the food is as good as the first time but still it is very excellent. The food comes out fast also and the servers and staff have always been nice and kind. This is definitely a place to visit and come back too. Very enjoyable.
Social media really hyped this place up. We were so excited to snatch a reservation for my friend’s birthday. Upon entering the movie theatre setup was cool and the Wall art is awesome. We were told our reservation was going to be an hour later due to a power outage… we came from 2 hours away, and I wish management would have sent a message or called and said we were going to be pushed back. I just figured whatever were going to make the best of it. We were finally seated and thought we were going to get popcorn, nope. Tried to order an appetizer, nope…they didn’t prepare enough for the day. We ordered a few sandwiches and the French toast… I also had several things I was looking forward to ordering, but unfortunately they didn’t list that they only had a limited menu. Ordered a side a fries, for 5 bucks, they were good but there weren’t a lot.
I wasnt sure based on some reviews but wanted to keep an open mind considering it is a new restaurant just starting out & they exceeded my expectations! Great vibe, very interactive, friendly & fun staff & decent food and drinks. We made a reservation a couple weeks in advance and were seated fairly promptly. It is a louder ambiance with periodic sirens etc going off, but thats what I came for, the experience! Loved the scare actors, look forward to seeing more as they get established. Overall would definitely return!
What a fun place!First off...serving popcorn (movie theatre butter in tow) is a great twist on the traditional bread or chips you get at normal restaurants. Two thumbs up that!We ordered a variety of food and all of it was pretty great...get the Scooby Snacks! They are seriously crave-able!If you are traveling a distance and wont be visiting again any time soon, make sure you get one of the haunted potion bowl drinks. Theyre pricey at $35, but you can share them with your SO and they are fun and perfect for your Instagram story! As far as the atmosphere, as much as I hate so say it, we were slightly disappointed. Based on the name of the place and from how it was promoted online, we went with truly haunted expectations. While it is a fun place, it had very little that felt haunted. It really felt like more of a box office/theatre vibe. If you are an owner, hit me up. My friends and I have some great ideas that would help you up the Haunted experience for your patrons.
I really loved the atmosphere here. The movie theater scene when you first walk in is amazing. The food was pretty good too. Where it lost a star from me was for the price. My fishbowl drink, which I will say was pretty awesome, was $22 for the nonalcoholic version. It didnt stop me from ordering it, and it was cool, but I think the price on this could come down. I definitely recommend going here, but plan to spend a decent amount of money.
Very long wait times without reservation. 20 minute wait with a reservation. Great decor , there was a staff member dressed as a fairy (?), Thought there would be more costume. Movies playing were great horror flicks. Staff was friendly, recommending items. The MC made the experience. There was random music that was not horror-movie related that didnt fit the whole vibe. Limited menu, total of 6 entrees plus 2 pizzas. Food was good - some weird combos though like southwest wanton with Marshmello sauce and sweet potato puree.
Good food and great atmosphere! There aren’t many places you can enjoy a delicious burger while sitting next to someone dressed up as Michael Myers.Alyssa the hostess made sure we were able to sit together as a large group, and Tone, our server, made us feel right at home.
Just so so. My bestie and I drove five hours total to visit. The good: The decor was great. The bird box sandwich was great. The Lurch burger was tasty. Horror trivia was fun and you can win Haunted House swag! Not so great: parking isn’t awesome. We made a reservation two months in advance and had to sit at the smallest table in the restaurant. Was like trying to eat off of a Barbie house table. The emcee guy is loud. The waitresses come out to dance, and it’s obnoxious. Was hard to have a conversation or hear the server. The wait for food was too long. (But the server was apologetic and friendly.) Chucky rolls were trying to be savory and sweet. It was covered in powdered sugar. Super odd.Great trip with my friend but would not return.
I was so excited to finally try this restaurant and I drove 2.5 hours to go. It was decorated very cool and I liked the trivia. You got popcorn at your table which was also. Our appetizers (Scooby snacks & critters) were amazing but our entrees (birdbox sandwich & jigsaw) were such a let down. My sandwich was so nasty I could only take one bite, I’m not a picky eater either. The red sweet sauce on the chicken was so disgusting, it actually tasted like vomit. My husband’s pizza was a little burnt and the sauce was way too sweet for our liking. I haven’t totally wrote the place off, especially because our appetizers were so good, but our entrees were a huge let down & that is coming from a non-picky foodie.
The service was great! The food was decent, looked great, but not seasoned. The scariest thing about the place was the fact that the news was playing. I think they have a lot of potential but leave a lot to be desired. Its a glorified restaurant with a bar that happens to have some wall murals, a few spider webs hanging and a neat movie themed entrance. Id suggest skipping.
This was a fun experience, the staff attentive and the decor is spot on. I was surprised to see I was given plastic silverware while they had lamp chop pops on the menu. We had the Scooby Snacks and Nightmare on Elm Street corn for appetizers, and I got the Silence of the Lamb Pops while my fiance had the Pennywise. I was happy with my food selections while he found his too rich. We also ordered a spooky punch bowl and its presentation was fun with smoke pouring over the edge. I recommend The Haunted House Restaurant for the experience, Im happy we went but dont feel like we need to rush back.
Quick for seating and the horror themed movies on around the restaurant certainly adds to the vibe. PJ was super nice as was the hostess. Food came out quick and my girlfriend got the poison apple cocktail which while staying sweet was deliciously intoxicating as well. Limited food menu but that doesn’t detract from the experience. Would revisit for sure
Food, drinks, and atmosphere were amazing. The music was good and they have a guy that hops on the mic and asks horror movie trivia questions for a chance to win a prize. The waitress we had was wonderful( I wish I remembered her name so I could shout her out) The whole entire restaurant is a vibe! Good for the family, date night or just hanging with friends. So lets get into why I rate them 3 stars, instead of 5. The hostess with the stringy blond hair is a definite no. Shell be the death of this place. Her customer service skills are absolutely disgusting. She was very very very rude to me and the person I came with. Had the waitress along with everything else thats great about this place had not been so good I wouldnt come back. For her to be the first point of contact, she should be a lot nicer and more respectful. I suggest more training for her. Dont let your place be rated average when it could be 5 stars across the board!
Few days back Me and my family drove up here from Michigan just for this and well what can I say, my Experience here at the Hunted house was amazing . I love everything about it. I believe my server name was Ivory. She really made our experience even better. She introduced us with this scary mask on. The kids loved it!! This was our first time here. Obviously we don’t know nothing about anything on the menu. She then recommend the chucky rolls and scooby doo snack. I personally loved the rolls and the kids didn’t leave anything on the plate from The Scooby snacks. From great two picks, I let her pick my meal she gave me the shaggy. And I loved it. I had to get one to go. Overall i love this restaurant it really left strong memories. I would take another trip just for this place.
Drove 2 hours just to visit this place finally. And it totally delivered. Food was typical and delicious. But the overall atmosphere and ambiance was the selling point! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. Making sure we didnt leave until Michael Meyers showed up! He definitely didnt disappoint. Both my girls are positive they want to go back for their birthdays. We will totally be back. I highly recommend this to anyone that is into horror! Music was amazing, birthday celebrations were on point with the Purge! Horror trivia was also very fun! Cannot get over how much fun we had today!! I wish I had pictures to post, but I only too video! Until next time friends! I cant wait!

We drove over 3 hours to get here from south of Pittsburgh because my daughter loves spooky and Halloween stuff. She found this restaurant on line and just had to go. I can honestly say it was well worth the trip. The entire restaurant is done in a spooky movie theme with a theater ticket style hostess area. The menu is limited, but, thought was given to each of the menu items. Everything we had was delicious and not something you see everywhere else. My daughter had the Bird Box, which was a chicken sandwich with a delicious Cajun Mayo and sweet Buffalo sauce, which she got on the side to taste first. I can honestly say it was the beat Cajun Mayo and hot sauce I’ve tasted. The hot sauce was really sweet, which made it unique in my opinion. I had The Slimer, which was egg, sausage, bacon on green waffles. The sausage was chorizo, which is a welcome change from the normal sage breakfast sausage. We had critters for appetizer, mozzarella sticks, with a great combination of marinara as well as a ranch dipping sauce. Both were extremely delicious. The restaurant was as clean as clean can be. Now all that is great but if the service isn’t there it would have ruined it. But the service was spot on. Our waitress was brand new but did a better job than a lot of veteran waitresses usually do. She was polite and responsive. Checked on us the right amount of times, making sure we didn’t need anything but not so obnoxious as to bother you like some do. I’ve read some Yelp reviews saying they had too many vegan choices and I just don’t see that. They had a small section for vegan, but the rest of the menu was not vegan. Again, they have a limited menu, but attention was paid to quality rather than quantity. They could fill the menu with hot dogs and different burgers. With cheese with pickles bla bla. But they chose to limit it to more interesting items. I’m sure you you want a plain chicken sandwich they’d make it. Just no need to put it on the menu. The one negative is they did not have iced tea. Who doesn’t have iced tea??? But the water was good lol. No nasty flavor. Check it out. It’s in a really nice area too. Looks like you could spend an entire day shopping right down the road.
10/10 delicious and fun!We made a reservation for Friday night at 7:45 and went back around 8:15 so there was a bit of a wait. However, the food was amazing, the service was good and the overall theme and vibe was so much fun. It’s not often a restaurant has such a neat theme and delivers on unique and delicious food.We got the Nightmare on Elm Street Corn (we live an hour and a half from here and I’d drive back just for this), the Pennywise, and the Twilight (pictured). I also ordered a drink, I think it was called the Red Dragon and that was also fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!!
I had so much fun here! I am going to dream about the chucky rolls because they were AMAZING! The servers were so friendly and the food was amazing. Now they ran out of the salmon fish my friend ordered but they compensated by giving her a different entree for free. The bar was slightly short staffed with only 1 bartender and she was working overtime to make up for it so I think they should have 3 bartenders with them being so busy. The cauldron drinks are $39 but they have drinks cheaper and once you see how big it is you understand that’s a FAIR price so don’t listen to the nay sayers, they must not get out much. That’s the ONLY negative thing I have to say. They staff the bar a little more and let the servers know when they run out of certain menu items. I loved my experience overall and will be back!
This was an extremely disappointing experience to say the least. A party of two arrive at 12:40pm for a 12:45 reservation. We were seated aroun 1 which was totally acceptable. Ater a normal wait time someone takes our order and it was all down hill from there. Another party of two were seated shortly after that and we watched them get the cool potion drinks that smoked while we were just waiting on a Sprite and Lemomade. We watched the same table go through about three different appetizers and even get their entrees and I counted 6 tables that were there before us but received their food while we were there, eat, pay for their food and leave. Finally at 2:17pm, they bring out the chicken sandwich and fries. It was drenched in sauce and did not look to appealing to me but it wasnt my meal so I didnt say anything. According to my companion, it tasted as bad as it looked but the fries were okay. At 2:22, my food arrived, I ordered a red velvet waffle and chicken sandwich which appeared to have the same sauce. At this point I was starving because I had been waiting on this meal ALL DAY, so imagine my surprise when the chicken is over cooked, has burnt spots and I cant even stick the fork in it. The meal wasnt even edible. We sat around about another twenty minutes just waiting on our waitress to come back so we could tell her how awful everything was. She went to go get the manager which never showed but told the waitress to let us know we could just leave. Soooo we wasted a lot of our time just to leave a restaurant hungry and have to go wait somewhere else, very disappointing.😕
The food was good, but the wait was outrageous. We waited 45 minutes for fried Oreos and cheesecake to go after we already waited an hour to get our dinner!!The waitress blamed the cook, it was obvious when we got home that theyve been sitting at the order window for a while because they were cold and mushy. We couldnt even salvage it by enjoying the ice cream that is supposed to come with them because they forgot to give us any.I would understand a little more if it was packed. But it was actually pretty slow so theres no excuse.
People are so judgmental, I hope none of you live in Ohio because there’s not that many options for a haunted house themed restaurant! Yes it does have allot of scary movie decorations but I think they play a huge role in scaring people! I liked the themes! Our waitress did take a little long to come get our drink options but overall it was a great experience with my fiancé and son. We spent $160 plus tips but it’s worth it for the different atmosphere, music, trivia, Birthday shoutouts, and my drink bowl succeeded in tipsy ness! I give them credit where it is due and you guys will learn as you go/grow! Thank you for your experience. If you want a different experience not like your regular restaurant try them out!
The reason they aren’t getting 5 stars is because they need to work out a lot of kinks when it comes to reservations, wait times, waiter response times and kitchen/cook times. We waited 1.5 hours to get our food, after it took them over 45 minutes past our reservation time to seat us (we were there a lil early too, but I didn’t start noticing until we were well past our time slot). People who got there after us somehow got their food before us. That could have been due to the waiter we had, who was most likely over burdened with too many tables. The staff are great, friendly, funny and seemed like they enjoyed themselves when they did their little dances and what not.The food was tasty (definitely recommend The Shaggy) but seriously overpriced for what it was and the small portion sizes. They skimped on the alcohol in the potion bowl drinks (basically fruit punch with a splash of alcohol) and were out of Scooby Snacks and another menu item we wanted to order. The theme of the place was fantastic and so were all the decorations.I recommend going early, when they open for the day. It’s a fun place, all in all and a must stop for horror fans.
Pictures are from the front of the restaurant, once you walk past the wall theres nothing too exciting. Its like every other restaurant, but movie themed. Its like being at a movie theatre with posters on the walls & the staffed dressed like movie theatre bell hops. The music was so loud you couldnt hear the waitress speaking. They do a great job on celebrating birthdays! Now the food - The menu was very limited, only 4 entrees, 2 pizzas, & 1 vegan option. There is a coming soon menu; however, they didnt say when you can order from it, but they do let you look at it. The burger was probably the best Ive ever tasted & great waffle fries. The appetizer was delicious but very small; definitely not a sharing item. There was very little pulled chicken on it and I mean a couple bites. The drinks were expensive; however they have some original options. Like a 51oz drink, definitely made for sharing. The restaurant was short staffed and they let you know when you checked in. Our reservation was at 6 but we didnt get seated until 6:30 & I had to check on it.I would give it another try after its been open awhile. Food was delicious!
I will be bluntly honest, not sure what exactly I was expecting but the experience is nothing as I thought it to be considering its a haunted house restaurant. The food was not good sorry and the service was mediocre. Not impressed with my visit periodt!!! The prices fir the taste of the food were not worth the cost AT ALL...
First time there and I loved it! The vibe is amazing and the decor is breathtaking. I ordered the Rosemary breakfast (I think thats what its called) and it was decent. My only gripe is that my order said it came with candied bacon and I didnt get that. It seemed like regular bacon. Also, the eggs I ordered came with cheese and I specifically asked for no cheese. But it was still good. Also the popcorn wasnt fresh and it had too much butter on it.. Otherwise the Waitress was really nice. Will definitely return!
There is so much potential here. Thats the main reason I wanted to leave a review- this restaurant could be great! But ate here tonight and was disappointed. To start- dining experience could be greatly improved. The menu here is horror themed but in all the wrong ways. I ordered the Pennywise chicken and waffle sandwich and it was not appetizing at all. I attached a picture, but the dish itself was overly sweet and I took two bites before deciding not to finish it. The menu is extremely limited, with vegan options apparently stealing the show from the more I look at other reviews. The menu desperately needs to revise.Second- the atmosphere here could be amazing- but falls flat. While we were there, the manager hosted trivia and the servers randomly travelled to the middle of the floor to dance. This was slightly disorganized and disorienting. My suggestions for management:- Make dishes less kitschy. If you want them to remain themed, focus on plating, utensils and drinks. You can have normal meals with sides and plates remaining themed.- Decor!! The custom mural and movie theme at the front is gorgeous, but elements like this need to be spread throughout. Needs experiential elements inside and photo opportunities. Custom chairs, lighting, table cloths and corners of the restaurant could draw people in. I would even consider changing the bar- think fire elements/if the bar was dripping blood/goo. (You could also theme individual tables and people could preference them!) Also- this place needs red lighting and recognizable decals outside to draw from the street.I know that they are already doing nights to promote horror releases, but I would argue to have more nights themed. Give me a Gremlins night!! I think this place just doesnt know what it wants to be yet. Pure Horror? Family friendly? Nostalgia? The main things that need improvement are food and theme. If they are improved this place will be thriving in a year. If they arent, it will sink.If you go- get a $34 fish bowl I guess.
The food, decor and atmosphere are decidedly...confused.A few friends and I had been looking forward to our visit to The Haunted House since its opening a few weeks ago...Despite seeing that they had closed for a few days due to high demand or low staffing issues, I kept an open mind hoping that a menu designed by Darnell Ferguson would speak for itself.Unfortunately, it did not.Walking in, the wall decorations and decor are cute. The hostess sits behind a movie theater ticket booth near flashing horror themed posters and boxes of candy, and a villain themed mural provides a good opportunity to snap a picture. However, once we were seated we realized the experience might be less than stellar. An entertainer stood near the bar screaming through a microphone at near jet engine levels, occasionally playing The Purge alarms and Jaws theme at somehow even louder volumes. Now, Im no stranger to the Cleveland music scene, regularly attending shows at local venues like the Grog Shop and Now Thats Class for aggressive hardcore shows. So when I tell you my ears genuinely ached at points during dinner, its not due to my frail disposition. It was ridiculously loud.We ordered a few drinks and the Scooby Snacks appetizer, which to their benefit was very tasty. We decided to stay and commit to a full meal hoping the food would be good enough to make up for the atmosphere.Wrong again. The kitchen is only running an abbreviated menu with few menu items, so if you were hoping to try any of five originally advertised vegan options, or eight appetizers, think twice. In total we ordered four drinks, the birdbox sandwich, jigsaw pizza, pennywise chicken and waffles, and the lurch burger. The good:-the chicken sandwich and chicken and waffles were delicious and very well presented.-the dry-ice fog effect of the fishbowl drinks is fun and makes for a good social media postThe bad:-the jigsaw pizza is pretty obviously made on frozen, pre-made crust...think Dominos with less butter.-the fishbowl drinks are $35 and have very little alcohol in them. I drank the majority of one to myself and didnt feel much of anything.-the fries are dry and honestly, inedibleFor the TLDR:Disappointing from start to finish.
We went here for our anniversary we were at our table for less than five minutes and we already had our drinks appetizer came out immediately and our food shortly after. I wasn’t a huge fan of the penny wise but I would definitely give it another chance and order something different. The restaurant was super cool the staff were super friendly our hostess was so nice and attentive. We would definitely go back
I was super excited to venture this place after seeing it on TikTok. I recently moved to Ohio, and it’s been rough adjusting. Nothing has really impressed me. My boyfriend surprised me with this date, as I am a HUGE horror fanatic. We drove 2 1/2 hours. He told me he had made reservations a couple days before, even though I didn’t know where we were going. We got there and I got super excited. Parking wasn’t bad. We walked in, he gave his name, and had no problem being seated immediately. It was a Sunday, around 5:30 and it was pretty busy. The minute we walked in, the smell of popcorn filled the air. Movie posters were placed everywhere. The decor was pretty cool. I think the Murals on the wall stood out the most. The rest of the decor was just some Animatronics that you’d see in a Spirit Halloween store. And dollar store cobwebs. I loved the line of creepy dolls that sat high up on a shelf next to the TVs though. Horror movies played on all of the TVs except for a basketball game on the one. It was super dark where we were seated, and the menu was difficult to see. But that wasn’t a big problem. The food menu was limited. Not much to chose from. It seemed like there was more drinks than anything. Service was ok. Our waitress was super nice though, not personable but nice enough to make us happy. They gave us little boats of popcorn, which was fresh. They had a few popcorn seasonings at the table. I picked them up to see their flavors and they were all sticky and almost empty. We decided not to use any. I was recommended the Poison Apple cocktail. It was yummy, but literally tasted as if there was NO alcohol in it AT ALL. Being a bartender, I know there are drinks that mask alcohol taste, but there wasn’t even a hint of the Ciroc Apple Vodka that was supposed to be in it. And wasn’t even filled all the way. For our appetizer, we ordered Spauldings Wings & Fries. Wings were a little overcooked. Fries were good though. I ordered the Seafood Creepy Pasta. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. It lacked sauce & the pieces salmon (I think that’s what it was?) that was in it were dry. Shrimp wasn’t bad, but coming from the beachy area of NC, I know good seafood & this wasn’t it. The toast was dry and hard. My boyfriend ordered The Purge which was Salmon. I had a taste, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t worth $37.00. (Which was the same price of the T-shirts we got lol ) Our appetizer and entrees came out at the same time, didn’t really like that much as we pretty much boxed up most of our appetizer. They played music at a level where you can enjoy it, but still have a conversation. The only time it got loud was the birthday/anniversary/graduation celebrations, which were announced pretty cool. They ranged from The Purge to Nightmare on Elm Street. Overall, the food could’ve been better, place could’ve been cleaner, prices are a bit steep for what you get. The waitresses dress in jeans/leggings & the company T-shirt. Aside from one who had spider web fishnets and a white blouse with fake blood on it, which was pretty cool. If I worked there, I’d go all out. It would be Halloween everyday! I think this place definitely has potential! I read that people come from all over to this place. They should give the people the experience that’s beyond their expectations! Keep thinking outside the box, never stay stagnant. A place like this could do great things!!
Went on a Saturday Evening about 6pm after a 3 1/2 hour drive from Dayton,Ohio thinking 🤔 we can just walk in but the place was beyond packed so we left and tried it again Sunday morning at 9:45 am. The staff was AMAZINGLY OUTSTANDING and incredibly nice 😊, the decor was great 👍 and the tables for 2 are too small in my opinion but to me the food is OK 👌 but it’s not a place that I have to go to again… definitely a one and done for me but the potential is there… We had the slimmer and some chucky rolls which were actually good sn: 10/18/2021 I originally gave three ⭐️ due to the nice staff but now I’m editing ✍️ giving one 🌟 because when I woke up this morning I got nervous 😩 because my stool was green from the waffles 🧇 🤢 my man had the same results 😩😩😩
Honestly for a new restaurant its starting out pretty well. Our server was nice and charismatic, unfortunately the service was extremely slow. For drinks we ordered the Happy Feet and Toy Story(all non alcoholic). They were huge and loaded with candy, lasted the whole meal, very tasty, and overall worth the price tag. The trivia was fun and a nice touch. The menu is pretty limited and the food brought mixed reviews. However once they get their feet down they might expand the menu and tweak their recipes. Overall the experience was decent at best and OK at the worst. I would recommend it.
If I could give 10 stars I would! My girlfriend and I came from out of town to celebrate my birthday here and it didnt disappoint! We didnt have reservations however we were lucky enough to get a couple of seats at the bar about 30 min after our arrival and im so glad we did we had an absolute blast! We ordered some cocktails that were tasty as well as a few smoking shots that were very cool! She ordered the birdbox sandwich (delicious) and I had the ectoburger which is a perfect vegan option very very good and everything was very reasonably priced which was a nice surprise! Our server Bri did a great job and was very attentive to us. The owner Andre was present and was very nice he didnt mind getting his hands dirty behind the bar to help the girls out as they were very busy! I want to say a special thank you to Malik who is a staff member but just so happened to be off. He recommended drinks, food and even some other local spots. He made us feel like we had been friends for years and even made sure the staff sang happy birthday to me (purge style) and bought me a bday shot! He truly made our experience very enjoyable and well definitely be back!
This place is so much fun!! The staff is super fun and friendly, my only problem was I could not find one thing on the menu that was not sweet. So be sure you like sweet food. I will go back for the atmosphere and have a drink, but will not get the food. But if you like sweet food this is your place!
The Haunted House Restaurant is a great experience. The interaction with the staff, the esthetics, scary movie trivia and their awesome dj was a blast! My kids and I loved the non-alcoholic drink bowls and being able to watch different scary movies on the TVs. As much as I loved the experience I unfortunately wasn’t thrilled with the food. My son had the Slimer, I had the Pennywise and my other two children had the wings and fries. The Slimmer and Pennywise had no taste. Like none at all. My two children with the wings and fries said it was ok but the wings aren’t covered in sauce. It’s simply sauce drizzled over them. I tried the Chucky Rolls. Also, our food wasn’t very hot. Our server was very nice however, not attentive. What I mean is once our food came she didn’t come back until we were done and it was time for the bill. I’m not sure if there weren’t regular utensils but we had to eat with plastic utensils. The prices are medium. Some items are priced right while others are too high. Overall I believe everyone should have the experience. This place is very cool and so much fun. However , experience alone isn’t going to keep it around. To the owner if you’re reading this please revisit your menu. Make the adjustments you need. I want your places to success abundantly! Just a few tweaks is all you need. I plan to visit again and hopefully menu adjustments and server attentiveness will be different.
I had heard nothing but good things about The Haunted House Restaurant and have mad respect for DJ Ryan Wolf. But it still took me a while to finally have dinner there. Deep down I think I was worried it might be a little cheesy. What I found instead was a cool af restaurant with an amazing menu, great drinks and a horror movie theme done right.Walking in you feel the experience as you check in for your table like youre approaching the box office of a movie theater. Movie theater quality buttered popcorn is brought to the table gratis with the water. It just happened to be Scream week, so a Ghost Face apparition made the rounds between courses. And speaking of the food, I learned a new term: Brinner. The combination of breakfast and dinner. I had the Shaggy, a granola encrusted French toast with bananas and cream that is otherworldly -- no matter what time or what meal of the day you eat it.Take it from me, the only cheese youll find here is on the food. This place does its theme justice and the menu could stand on its own without the theatrics. Consider that a bonus.
Came with a group of friends and we tried a little bit of everything on the menu. Although it’s not the full menu, what I did taste was AMAZING, I can’t wait to try the rest. My lemon drop martini was reallllly good as well!!! The staff are all very friendly, from the moment you enter until we were leaving! It was no issue with a wait for us, I know a week prior may have been different for others. The decor…done with taste and not over the top for people like myself who don’t enjoy horror films. I can say, the most fun I’ve had out at a restaurant in a long time…I will definitely be back!
My mother and I were in from out of town and we had an awesome dinner! On Wednesdays they have a guy who takes your picture then draws you in a horror scene and it was worth every penny. My mom was so impressed and love it so much she got it framed! Our server Gabby was lovely and the lady with the beautiful makeup was so welcoming and friendly. Thank you guys for an awesome experience!
Super cool environment, nicely decorated. I loved that they served popcorn instead of the usual bread/rolls, really goes well with the theme. For what you pay for the food it’s good but I expected better for the price. You pay more for the experience overall. The service was really good, will probably be back.
I just went on a Saturday. My friend made reservations for us at 12pm but we weren’t sat until 1 because they had a power outage and they were only taking reservations the rest of the day. They had a different more limited menu then the one circulating on FB. It was EXTREMELY limited. And they were out of some of the limited options 😣 no pescatarian or vegetarian choices. I ordered just a waffle because the waffle sandwiches had meat and my friend ordered the waffle sandwich. We waited almost and hour for the food 😑 Long story short the waffle tasted like food coloring (cause it was red) but my friend enjoyed her food. I like the idea of this restaurant but I think they should have waited a little longer to open so they could be fully staffed and be able to accommodate customers better. Here’s some pics hope this helped
I surprised my husband with a lunch date here and was super hesitant because of other reviews, BUT the experience was much better than expected! Our reservation was at 11:30 AM on a Saturday. You are served popcorn with seasonings for free *we even got refills* and our server was super sweet. We were even greeted by a manager. It is pricier, but a non-chain is being supported and it is a nice change of environment/experience. The parking situation was probably our biggest dislike, but was worth the hour drive! Food was super yummy *even leftovers heated well*. It was super chill and not loud but going in the AM might have been a factor! Would definitely visit again.
I can honestly say worst experience I have ever had. Drove over a hour to try this place that had great reviews. The place itself is cool, but no movies playing the place was dirty with food everywhere as well as the bathrooms. Now the service was horrible waited forever to get drinks with no ice. The food looked great until you eat it. Drowned in sweet sauce or powder sugar. The chicken wings in the twilight meal had a burnt taste. The chucky rolls were ok if they were not covered in marshmallow sauce for a eggroll that had greens and mac and cheese. The malficent potion bowl was cool but was to chemically and old taste. The bill was almost 100 dollars and not worth any penny of it. Hate it was so looking forward to eatting here after all the good reviews
A fun place! Great theme, excellent vibe, friendly faces. The menu is limited, but unique. Oh and loved the drinks. Definitely an experience. The only downside is they were short staffed in the kitchen and was informed our appetizers would take 30 mins. Ordered appetizer to go and cut our visit short. Would not return. Just a fun 1st.
If you like haunted houses then this is your kind of place. I went on a Friday night and was seated immediately. The bartenders were cordial and provided quick service. I only had appetizers and was not disappointed. I wasnt brave enough to try anything with food coloring due to other reviews. 😂 But I will definitely go back and take my family with me.
Come for the aesthetics and drinks, dont stay for the food. Mac and cheese is bland, scooby snacks nachos were drenched in the sweet chili sauce - inedible. Other than the front, its really just some movie posters and the occasional dressed up employee. Bartenders were nice and drinks were delicious but not worth the hype.
I really enjoyed myself. Nice atmosphere and food is absolutely amazing. The employees are very nice and professional. It’s a really fun environment. Not once a dull moment. The employees are very welcoming. I love the birthday celebrations. It’s really nice how they bring everyone together by the dancing and the trivia etc. They do a great job at keeping everyone engaged! Definitely worth the wait!! Love the concept and creativity. My favorite dishes on the menu is The Jaws pizza, The Pennywise, and the lurch burger. Highly recommend! Everyone should definitely try this place out. I love the fact that you can have a good time without feeling uncomfortable/scared. It’s the perfect amount of horror. Definitely will be back! The most creative restaurant that Cleveland has had by far. Can’t wait to see this place take off and become worldwide!!
We drove 7 hrs and 48 min yesterday in order to go here for our daughters birthday after she saw this place on tik tok we made reservations 2 months ago and am so glad we did it was so much fun. We checked in around 4pm for 430 reservations and hade a little bit of a wait, but that was passed easily looking at the wonderful wall paintings. My daughter was so happy that they had Candyman painted on the wall she said,He is the first freddy kreuger and his story is better. Shes 11 lol. The food was awesome I had the ecto burger it was great the burger patty wasnt dry like some places make their vegan burgers and the fries were phenomenal they were cooked just right not under done and soaked with grease and not overcooked and hard. My husband had the lurch burger cooked medium and he said it was good also I think he was more excited about them having pineapple juice by the glass lol. My daughter had the pennywise and she loved it she wasnt sure about the sauce(BBQ and maple syrup mixture)so our amazing waitress(Ms. Freddy kreuger herself) brought the sauces in separate cups so she could choose either the syrup or the BBQ sauce. My daughter ordered the maleficent punch bowl she said it tasted amazing. I didnt try it Im not a fan of grape soda but it smelled so good. Ill keep the birthday celebration a secret but let me just say it is well worth going to celebrate a birthday. We will definitely be going back.
Food isnt bad, place is unique and cool but man. The service is the worst I have ever seen. They are way too focused on games and birthday dances to even be servers. Food arrives not hot, I had to ask 3 times to get silverware because we had 4 silverware sets for a table or 9. Literally had to sit and watch my food get cold because I couldnt eat it. We sat for about 2 hours before the last person at our table got their food. We didnt get food we paid for at all and barely saw the waitress but twice, yet witnessed her do 3 birthday dances for people. This place is cool if you want to sit at the bar and play games and drink but honestly, its hardly a restaurant. Not the waitresses fault. They are just asking for way too much from a tiny staff. They do a good job at distracting you with magicians and party games and the food is cool and I am willing to bet mine would have tasted way better if it were actually warm but I had to eat it cold because it took 3 asks to get a set of silverware to eat with.
My family and I had such a wonderful time and experience. The food was delicious and the staff was interactive. We played scary movie trivia, had a scavenger hunt and there was even a magic show. I would definitely go again. Happy I finally made it there, it was worth the wait.
My food was hot! The drink was fantastic, there was powdered sugar ON THE CHUCKY ROLLS and it was delicious! You have to actually like mixing sweet and savory flavors—it was all so, so good! My waitress was super sweet and service was fast. I was kind of hesitant based on the reviews but I didn’t see any of those for mentioned problems— haha!
What a wild ride! You enter through what looks like a movie lobby and the hostess as the ticket taker. Once seated fresh popcorn and seasonings were brought over. We ordered colossal cocktails and entrees and were wowed at every turn! Malik the bartender was also our server and he was great! The staff were really having a great time together. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening! And talked all night about when we can make it back!
Ohh did I have high hopes for this place! The horror movie decore is super cool but it in no way shape or form resembles a haunted house. We had a reservation and checked in when we got there. About 20 minutes past our reservation time the hostess that we checked in with came and asked if we had reservations!!! Seriously!! So we finally get seated and about 15 minutes later our server finally brings is menus. When we ordered our waitress did not write anything down and forgot to bring my appetizer. After a long wait our food came out. It was barley warm...and barely edable! There was twice as much bun compared to the 2 little nuggets of chicken on it. The DJ was fun. They play horror trivia and horror name that tune. I wore a Munsters outfit and won on name that tune on the Munsters theme music. That was fun, but sadly the place has a lot of areas for improvement. Dont even get me started on the bathrooms and no toilets working.
I always have a good time full of laughs each visit! The food is unique with a flavorful twist. The staff is so engaged and attentive. Make sure your know your horror and scary movie trivia if you want to participate in the games they have through the night. Definitely the perfect family restaurant, but also great for birthdays & dates too!
The is a must do if visiting Cleveland. The restaurant used to be the melt it was good this place is better. I love scary movies and great food this place has both. JaShay is a great waitress and Shug runs the show and Djs the horror party. Awesome place to embarrass someone for birthday and anniversary and horror trivia.
This review is far overdue but I wanted to make sure it was done correctly and that it had time actually set aside for it because when I tell you.. the time and effort put into every single decision regarding this establishment, from the back of the house, to the front, all the way to social media has been thoroughly thought out and executed perfectly,I’m not lying. Never have I walked into a restaurant and it has been that great of an experience. My fiancé and I went with our friends for the cosplay party on Aug 18th and from the second we walked in, all the way up until today, we have been talking about it. The warm welcome you get walking up to the ticket booth/hostess stand is nostalgicly-delightful if you will. The smell of popcorn, theater atmosphere and movie posters make you relive seeing each movie for the first time. The staff keeps you on your feet and busy constantly and will go through the greatest lengths to make sure you are accommodated for. Wether it be making sure the butter is Vegan on the popcorn (which it is) or making sure there are no raspberry gummies in your drink due to allergies- they will go that extra mile. I’m not even sure what the wait time was on drinks or food because we were constantly entertained by either a staff member or the atmosphere itself. I would make sure to include staff names in this but to be honest there wasn’t one person who didn’t make our time there enjoyable, overall the whole team did so well. Finally getting to the food, everything was so delicious and presented hot and fresh it made us want to eat past getting full. We cleared our plates even though we probably shouldn’t have with all the food we ordered. By far this is THE most creative, well put together, and enjoyable restaurant we have ever been to, and we cannot wait to go again.
We tried for the 1st time and overall it was great. The atmosphere was great. We went for my Husbands birthday, they came out and did a little birthday shout out and a cookie which was really nice. Our server Misha was also great 😃 I do hope they get a larger menu but we tried the chicken sandwich and hamburger and they were both delicious.
I visited The Haunted House Restaurant on a Friday night. I had made a reservation and was seated quickly. I had seen lots of publicity on social media that made me want to try it. The whole restaurant was decorated in horror movie decor. I had macaroni and cheese, BBQ wings, and waffle fries. The macaroni and cheese was exceptional, possibly the best in Cleveland. The wings were juicy and tasty. The fries were crisp and seasoned. The server was a little slow, but it was her first day. They ran out of clean silverware, and we had to eat with plastic. They did a Movie trivia game. I would visit again.
Traveled almost 4 hours to eat here as kids saw on youtube. The atmosphere & decor is real neat. It was a bit dark (had to use a flashlight to see the menu), the music a tad high (to converse & difficulty hearing the waitress).I was expecting to get mediocre food since the concept is about the decor. But I got the lurch burger & it was delicious! Best burger Ive had in a while.Could use some simple menu items for picky eaters (my 15 yr old got Mac & cheese: but it was fancy mac & cheese with lots of seasonings, greens, diff tasting sauce etc. She took 1 bite and that was it). I was hoping theyd take note & remove it from bill, but I didnt ask so thats on me.It was a Wednesday, so our 2 yr old ate free. They enjoyed the popcorn. The portions are food sizes. All & all: a great experience. 👍
The atmosphere and staff are top notch. I had such a good time yesterday. They had games, and as it was my birthday my friend snuck and told our waitress to celebrate it. Boy did they ever. The food was decent, but I would go back for the people working there and the fun they have, which clearly shows throughout the day. Thank you for making my birthday lunch a blast!
Took a out of town friend there for lunch/brunch. We had a reservation. Got there a few minutes early, no one acknowledged our presence. When someone finally acknowledged us, we were seated, placed our drink order and asked to see menus. They have no paper menus. You have to scan a barcode on the table, which doesn’t work if you don’t have a cell phone. Their menu was limited to a few brunch, not lunch, items. Could not get a burger until after 4 o’clock. They close from 2-4 then you can order off of the lunch/dinner menu. The waitress appeared to be agitated by the questions we asked about the food before ordering. The drinks took a long time to come out and the food was not that good. When I asked for some salt and pepper, I got a handful of salt and pepper packets! Will never go back and don’t recommend this place to any one who wants professional service and a good meal.
I wasnt thrilled with this place from the start.. our reservations were changed twice,, once on the day of! The decor was cool, until you walked out of the vestibule. That being said, there was nothing haunted house. It was theater themed, red curtains, film reel lights, and several tvs with horror movies playing. They brought popcorn and popcorn seasoning to the table. The server was less than thrilled to be there and definitely took her time getting to us. The drinks were really cool, but over priced imo and didnt get to us until after our food arrived. The food was ok, we had 3 burgers and a chicken sandwich all pretty good. They had a DJ that did trivia and games, that was WAY too loud. We had to yell to talk to each other. We had a ok time, wouldnt do it again. 3 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich, 1 alcoholic fish bowl, 2 non alcoholic fish bowls and a pop and our bill was $145.
So.... First let me begin by staying I do believe in second chances, so I will attempt to eat here again. However, with such a wonderful theme and unique take I had high hopes for The Haunted House, but my first taste really didnt encourage me to want to come back. I tried the Jaws pizza, encouraged by the unique yet savory sound of it. Imagining something between a mix of seafood chowder and seafood nachos on pizza. What I received tasted pretty good, with a crust loaded on garlic. Unfortunately, the seafood was sparse. I broke the lobster up across it as much as I could but it was overcooked and didnt separate well. In fact, sadly, my entire crust was overcooked to the point I did not care to eat it because it tasted like ash mixed with garlic. The central portion survived a little better so I did eat that and it had some promise, but as I said, I was highly disappointed. I wish I could give a better rating for this as there was so much hype, but Im afraid this meal pales compared to some of the cuisine Cleveland has to offer. Step it up guys!
This experience was awesome from the second you walked in and checked in movie ticket style to the minute we left. Saturday nights are superb. We had the $35 (shared with 3) smoking cauldron drink that was phenomenal and continued smoking for quite a long time! I then went on to have the twilight waffle with fried chicken. The waffle was lackluster, a bit soggy to be honest (also the slimer and twilight waffles will stain your mouth). BUT those wings, oh those wings were phenomenal! Their cocktails are delicious. We were celebrating a party and they have the best happy birthday celebration including a giant oreo ice-cream sandwich. Then they played a horror song trivia game with prizes hosted by their live dj. Michael Myers pops up for some jump scares and pictures, as well as a magician going to various tables. Overall it is definitely a must see restaurant and attraction, though a bit pricey for soggy waffles their chicken is smashin.
This place was a scary good time! When you walk in the entrance is an old timey movie theater with lots of spooky decorations. We made a reservation but for a Friday it was not that busy! Im assuming theyre a lot more busy during Halloween! Some restaurants give you bread as an appetizer but they gave you popcorn with different flavors to continue with the movie theme. They had 6 TVs playing with different Halloween/spooky/creepy/scary movies. There was horror memorabilia everywhere which gave us a lot to look at!I got a potion bowl which was $35 dollars but it really got you wasted! Worth the money! Each food item was movie/horror themed and it was really good! The best part was it was my boyfriends birthday and they celebrated it purge style with masks and fire and fake knives! It was awesome! They even gave him a ice cream cookie sandwich for dessert!Definitely would recommend!
This is a cant be missed experience in Cleveland. They have horror movie themed drinks and food, which are both magnificent. The decor is amazing and upon walking in you notice that you are hosted by someone behind the glass of what looks like a movie theatre. We ordered the pennywise waffle and a potion drink and both were insanely good. This is a place all about the experience. Its something new and interesting and fun for the whole family (as long as your family is a little spooky) 💖
Experience was amazing. Drink was amazing, it was called the mist. Hospitality was amazing. Atmosphere was fun. Food looked great! But I took a bite out of two different meals and it was very bland and unseasoned. All I tasted was bacon and nothing else. My meal was waffles with chicken, egg & hot maple syrup. I couldn’t taste anything. So I would recommend drinks but not food.
The concept was great in theory and on paper. But, it wasnt a completed thought. The popcorn was good. The ticket booth receptionist was cool. The buck stopped there. The long line outside is a hoax. The place is never more than half full. The line is to convince passers by, that theyre missing out on something. My waitress couldnt have handled another table. Her hands were full with two. The long line hoax, helps the staff as well. The worst thing was them not being able to change the televisions. No PG section.Horror is bad enough when children are present...yet the love scenes in horror movies are next level.I realize, you dont have to bring children.Make the disclaimer, Not child friendly! There are PG scary movies. Develop a toned down section. The food wasnt good at all. I ordered a salad, a couple of burger, and two appetizers. Thats about their entire menu. There are NO DESERTS.There are NO SOUPS.No deserts at a theatre. The kids menu burger was thee exact same size as the adult, (get the kids burger and fries, save $5).I ordered the salad as stated. I asked for ranch on the side. She brought the house vinaigrette. I asked her to fix dressing situation...she charged me $1 for ranch. Her mistake, my dime! The place is brand new, four people in my party; we had three different sets of silverware.Did I mention, the popcorn was good?I typically give a place two tries. If it was good, bad or mediocre, a second try is warranted. Not here.Once in a lifetime.Stack the money haunted house. This gimmick has a shelf life.Im all for making money. This time next year...without major upgrades. There wont be a line outside of this establishment. There were a few other unpleasant moments, but I said enough. Give it a try for yourself.Waste a few bucks. Remember this review. Finally:A manager walk by the table and asked, How is everything?I replied, Not good at all!She said, Sorry to hear that. Then, proceeded on her scary way.1 out of 5.
When you walk in you’re greeted by great murals and you interact with the hostess through a movie theater window. But that’s about where the cool factor stops. The only frightening thing here is the drink prices. For $35 you get a “51” ounce potion bowl which is really a giant glass filled to the brim with ice and candy and a 16 ounce glass with actual beverage is added to create an effect. It’s kitschy, but it’s still a 16 ounce drink. I ordered the Pennywise,a $15 chicken and waffle sandwich with candied bacon. As you can see I got a giant plate covered in powdered sugar with half a frozen waffle coated with questionable amounts of blue food coloring. The macaroni I had as a side was an additional $7. The sandwich was good, but for $15 with no sides a whole sandwich is more of an expectation. The atmosphere is light and fun but overall it’s clear this place was created by people whose hearts aren’t truly into what they are selling here. As a horror fan, I can’t see myself returning here personally. I’m sure most people will go for the experience once, especially in October. Beyond that, well, good luck.Update:the day after my life is an uncomfortable shade of blue and I have food poisoning as well. This restaurant is the gift that keeps on giving.
This is the first day, I had to be like the 10th customer maybe. I walked in to a nice greeting and a very short wait to receive some warm buttery popcorn and as I got to my seat. Once to my seat I was greeted with water and a mix of wonderful popcorn flavors. The margarita I started with was very well mixed and still stiff, I only needed one of those lol. I didnt try a lot food this time but I did try the street corn what a great bite, especially the candy bacon touch, along with the flaky delicious crab cake, the pineapple the sauce mmmhmm. I also had some perfectly cooked waffle fries and I love a good garlic parmesan wing, the sauce was rich and savoury. Our server was awesome, very attentive and jovial. From the horror movies playing on the TVs to the amazing murals on the wall, I cant wait to have lunch at The Haunted House Restaurant Cleveland again.
The food was horrible it came out cold and under cooked. The atmosphere was so so. I talked with front staff on how poor the food service was and the explanation I was given was they were just getting over their rush and that may be why the service was so poor on the food side. I would not return.
Restaurant itself is a cool atmosphere. Best part was the magician.Service was absolutely horrible. I understand restaurants are busy, but this was the worst service I had in a long time.We had a 6 pm reservation, got there on time. We’re seated 30 minutes late, after asking to be seated. The hostess was polite and apologetic, but still a frustrating start. We were seated for at least 20 minutes before the server came by. All and all it took over 2 hours for chicken fingers and a burger. The burger was over cooked with a stale bun. Chicken was fine, no dipping sauce. I got my alcoholic drink just a few minutes before my dinner.Bottom line, would not recommend.
Overall, the place is really cool with decor and the guy dressed up at Mike meyers coming to you. The food wasnt bad but we waited a long time to get our order and our check. She wound up putting everything on one check instead of asking how we were paying, which we worked out with my friends mom on the spot so okay. Its a small restaurant so I feel like it shouldnt be long periods to do a check back, which wasnt done and my friend didnt get a refill, but it still was a good lunch outing.
I cant wait to come back we had a blast! The food was really good especially the fish tacos, our waiter was so nice, and there were birthday parties and trivia games going on it so was a happening place and even better than I ever could have imagined. Thanks for a great night!
I personally won’t come back here. I placed the reservation for my horror junkie friend because it was her birthday! :) her and I came once they opened. The decor was amazing! The TVs all playing different horror films were great but the food was not :( I ordered here in the picture fried asparagus and the bird box sandwich. This is a person issue with the sandwich looking gore for me so I don’t count it against them as that’s my own fault. However I had my friend try my sandwich for me after I choked down a bite and she had trouble eating it too. She said it smelled weird and it didn’t taste right. She isn’t fazed by gore like I am so I guess the sandwich was eh but I did happily try the asparagus anddddd it had no flavor 🥲 so sad! As well they fried the ends which I bite right into lol! The potion nonalcoholic (we ordered the happy feet) was my favorite from my visit. It was good but very expensive :( $40 plus the waitress tip for food I didn’t eat and a $20 drink was kinda hard to follow through with but it is what it is. The staff were ok. They weren’t rude to me or my friend, some complimented my purse, but most of them definitely showed us they didn’t want to be there and wished we would leave. I believe this place is more of a bar than a restaurant so please keep that in mind when coming here!
Honestly a bit of a pass. The atmosphere is really cool, but it’s so busy that it took 10 minutes to get a drink order, the server dropped off our drinks, then took another 10 minutes to ask what we wanted food wise. I got the bird box sandwich, and my friends got the pennywise and a burger. My food was legit absolutely gross. The menu is weird and I thought I was playing it safe with a maple chicken sandwich, but the sauce was just so nasty. I took maybe 3 bites, and couldn’t stomach the awful taste.
Terrible service! Food was good! You would think after lunch noon they would serve food instead of just breakfast till 2! Server only came once to check off everything was alright after the food was gone no ketchup they were out of Mountain Dew then asked for a Sierra Mist and that was flat as could be and could never get her attention to get another drink! Won’t be back there ever drove over an hour to try this Supposedly a good restaurant! I can be I better service from McDonald’s then this place!
The drinks are good, we had the ghostbuster. The food was decent but not nearly enough for what it cost. We both left hungry still had a 90 dollar bill and to be hungry after is insane. It was so hot in there. The service took forever we were seated a good 15 min before our server even came over to us. Parking is a nightmare. We won’t return. Looked to celebrate our anniversary at a nice creepy place and left underwhelmed.
When I first looked this place up I was not interested because of the reviews and menu was small...... I was invited by a friend so I went. It was very nice from the halloween decor & costumes! Michael Myers walks around and takes pics with you. There was a birthday party and they played a name that movie song game with everyone.I ordered lamb chops and was delightfully surprised with the flavor! Overall Im glad I actually went, it was a nice experience plus a very friendly staff.
This review is a couple good and a couple bad things. First off Im glad I finally got a reservation for the restaurant. The person I went with is a huge horror fan. Got sat before our reservation which was nice. The murals were cool. Atmosphere was really fun, dj played games, did trivia, and they had some dance stuff. The bday celebration was really cool too for those celebrating.Once we got sat though, we were at a really small table which was ok since the place isnt huge it just made having food and stuff cramped a bit.One thing for me was we were never asked if we wanted drinks, the girl who originally came over never came back to the table either and a few other people came and checked on us instead. We got some apps which were good, the food did take a bit but they were pretty busy. We did get some complimentary popcorn and water. The small table didnt have the popcorn salt like some of the bigger tables did.Food was pretty good. The jaws pizza is probably the best deal on the menu. Way bigger than 12The lurch buger was not worth it imo. Pretty small burger for 13 bucks. I saw a bunch of big what I though were burgers come out and assumed the same thing but it was pretty much the size of a mcdouble. Would get something chicken related next time for sure. All in though I will be going back for sure. We did have a good first time we just know to always get the pizza and have left overs for 2 days
Was really let down from all the hype I’ve heard about this place. Our appetizer was really good, but the rest of the experience not so much.We were there at 1:30 on a Sunday and couldn’t order a burger or pizza, only allowed to order from breakfast menu… took almost an hour to get our food. There was no flavor, nothing like the way the menu explained it to be. The penny wise and the shaggy is what we ordered. I also ordered bacon, that never showed up. We drove 2 hours for nothing but disappointment.
The environment in this place is very upbeat and quirky. The employees were all friendly and positive to be around. There was a costumed Michael Myers walking around taking pictures with people. This is definitely more of a bar / fun bite than a sit down romantic or quiet dinner. Seating is limited and the space is a bit crowded. Im not putting these under my cons, because those are things you expect. There are a few reasons Im only giving 3 stars which are as follows:I made an 8:30 reservation several days in advance. My only request was a booth if available. We were not seated in the empty booth, the next group was. We waited 15 minutes past the reservation time to be seated. After being seated we were promptly served with drinks, orders taken, and asked about appetizers. The complementary popcorn is a plus. However we waited unt 9:45 to receive our food. I didnt expect to wait this long and we had to leave right upon getting our food. (We eat out regularly, usually once we get our seat we can eat and leave within 45 minutes of arriving). They do have a fairly limited menu restricted to only a select variety of items. Again, to be expected but because of this I dont think Id care to return simply because I dont care for much of whats on the menu.It is pretty loud in here, so I wasnt really able to have a conversation with the person I went with. If you dont care to talk much its probably not a con to you, but I prefer a lower volume of music. All in all its a fun time and a great way to pass the time, but the speed isnt great and I wouldnt plan this if you have plans less than a few hours out. The food was enjoyable, but it wasnt super memorable. The atmosphere makes up for it.
This place was awesome. My 6 year old son loved it. He was super excited to interact with Michael Myers who made a special appearance even exchanged a hug. Our server was so sweet and kind. All the workers that we saw were great and took time to say hi and talk to our kids. We will def be back.
Not so great experience. Drove 4hrs to try this iconic place and was severely disappointed by service and seating. Our waitress ignored us the whole time and kept dancing at the bar. Took her 20 min to order our food and drink, 10 min to get silverware after receiving our food. I actually got up and found someone to ask for silverware and he said did you ask ur waiter and I said yes she’s dancing at the bar again. Then he responded that he will ask her again. Then another 10 min wait (great). When we finally began to try our food, my sons cheese pizza was lukewarm and the cheese felt like plastic. My pasta was warm as well like it was sitting, now the lurch burger was the greatest disappointment sent back 2 times because it wasn’t cooked right, and the size was like a McDonald’s hamburger. Highly dissatisfied. But you do have one saving grace. Miss Queen Bee 🐝. She blessed us with listening and comfort that not all servers are like ours. She told us to come back when she’s working one day. She was amazing and definitely needs a raise.
I was super excited to try this place! Sadly, it did not meet expectations! The aesthetic is there! Love the decorations & horror themed vibe. When it comes to the food, it’s just overrated & overpriced for what you get. We overheard the servers debating on who is going to take our table while we sat for 5 minutes without being greeted. The cook came out the kitchen to use the restroom with his apron still on.. extremely unsanitary!! Music was VERY loud & there was a guy yelling on a mic for “trivia”? Not expected. Cute place but ultimately, the service, drinks, & food was SUB PAR.
I was looking forward to attending this restaurant. The entrance was different, by checking in at a movie theater window. When we were seated the waiter came over, but didnt explain any specials. At the time it was brunch and they had bottomless mimosas which is a great up sale. Then after our order we didnt get any popcorn. I noticed other tables get their popcorn but we were excluded. Our meals were brought promptly and they were great. The kitchen staff knows how to cook shriand grits right. But our server was not the best. It took a while to get the bill and to process. So yes recommend for one time experience, but will not go back againMake sure not to get Anthony as a server.
I did overall enjoy it but it could have been better. We were in for a birthday which I did tell them when they called to confirm my reservation but I still needed to tell our server. I gave her the birthday girls name and when they announced, it was mispronounced. Our server wasnt as present as I had hoped as we spent a long time with empty beverages.I think the biggest downside to it was our table. The booth was too big and the gap between the seats and table was just too wide. Im 64 and took a picture of the gap to include here. It was impossible to eat comfortably. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed it but it was a little pricey and the bar drinks are a bit much. The potion bowls being 35 bucks was enough to keep us from ordering one no matter how fun they looked. They really should have smaller sized for a smaller price tag. The smoking flight 180 was fun at the 15 dollar price tag. The popcorn they bring to the table is fantastic and they provide multiple different sprinkle seasonings as well.I wanted to enjoy it more, I really did as it seems like such a fun place but there were just too many things after traveling 2 hours to visit
Ryan was our server and she was EXCELLENT. She made my girlfriend and I feel so welcome! The food wasn’t bad, but it was definitely the atmosphere and the energy that made this place so worth it. Also, the drinks were phenomenal. I highly recommend The Beetlejuice cocktail and my girlfriend recommends Gizmo’s Green Tea!
First of all I love the theme and the creativity of this restaurant. The staff was very friendly, nice, professional and made sure that we had an overall great experience. The atmosphere was energetic and fun. The food was amazing! The restaurant also has multiple vegan and vegetarian options on the menu which is definitely a plus. I can’t wait to go back!
Its an interesting experience. The decor is a lot of random horror movie stuff. There are sporadic outbursts where the host guy will lead games or celebrate birthdays or come out in costumes. We went with some friends for our first time. Dont go if you want to try to have meaningful conversations; its loud. The food was pretty good. Not cheap. The server was very nice and accommodating, but service was painfully slow.I feel like this restaurant is trying to be several things and struggling to excel at any of them.
We had the BEST experience here! Brought out 2 kids as they love Michael meyers, Freddy etc. they had a BLAST! our server was Cody, he was wonderful! The food was phenomenal, we were so impressed! The kids meals are such a good price for how large the plates of food are! We will be back soon for the brunch! Bravo you guys!
A freind and i finally got in there 9/21 after having made the reservations a month ago and we were really pleased with the time we had there. The place has a nice vibe as soon as you walk in. The hostess was super courteous, we were scheduled for 5pm, got there about 10 til 5, and were seated almost right away. Our server, Carrissa, was at our table immediately serving the popcorn and flavored toppings for it. Ordered drinks, the Long Islands, they were terriffic. For the appetizers we ordered the Critters. These are not your run of the mill mozzarella sticks with a cup of marinara, they have really been elevated and taste anazing, the big-box resteraunts, applebees etc could learn a thing or two from those. Dinner was awesome, i had the Pennywise, my freind had the Birdbox both were great and everything came quickly. One of the big complants i read in earlier reveiws was that the music in the place was too loud, if that was true before then its been addressed now because it was at a completely normal level with conversation easily done. Decor is cute, nice ambiance that night so overall good drinks, good food, great service from our super fun server, well be goin back soon to try more!
My family and I had a party of 12, and we understood that the restaurant was a bit smaller, but after talking directly to the owner’s wife, we were told we could be seated at two tables of six near each other. We were assured of that, and we made reservations a month in advance. We were all looking forward to eating here and getting together for the first time since my father’s funeral. He loved horror movies, so we thought this would be a nice way to honor him.The day came, and originally we were told that they didn’t have a reservation for us, and almost from the beginning everyone we spoke to was rude. They kept arguing that we couldn’t have had a reservation of that size, and I explained the situation and that we had talked to someone directly about them accommodating us. We even had a text message as proof. Finally they found our reservations but said that they were at tables on the OPPOSITE ENDS OF THE RESTAURANT. Those were the words they used, verbatim. I again tried to explain the situation, and at this point it was getting very difficult to remain calm as my emotions have understandably been frayed since my father’s death, and I had been looking forward to eating here for a month, and every single person was rude. They were the opposite of accommodating and had no interest in trying to reach a solution. And keep in mind, there were multiple tables near each other that were open. We tried to speak to someone higher up than the girl at the counter, and they refused. The last straw came when one of the girls asked when we made the reservation. I told her a month ago, and she said, “Oh, that was a month ago, so it’s been so long anyway.” I said, “So what you’re telling me is that because we made the reservation in advance, we’re being penalized?” She started talking nonsense about how it’s been so long, and I was done and left. I was done being disrespected.I was really excited to eat here. I love horror movies like my father did, and I wanted to come here with him while he was alive. This was the next best thing, and I was looking forward to it, but I will never, EVER give them my business after the way we were treated.
The atmosphere is fun, its doesnt exactly give me haunted house feels though. It felt a little more like a fun house at a carnival with a scary movie theme. The sticky wings in The Twilight were excellent, but something the waffle left a slight burning and tingling on my tongue and it had a strange flavor to it. The staff are super friendly though!
This place is still an Absolute VIBE...Fun vibe, scary vibe and Family vibe. The new Brunch menu presented today is a keeper 😋 I had the Lobster BLT & homefries and it was absolutely DELISH. Oh and the Manager Ms. B yall better not ever let her go, cause that one Right there handles ish and GETS IT DONE!!!
I visited this restaurant for the second time on 10/9/21. This time for brunch. This second visit was highly disappointing. We ordered the French toast, the Pennywise sandwich, mozzarella sticks and the chucky rolls. The chucky rolls had to be sent back immediately. The quality was not what I experienced the first time I tried them. The Pennywise had 3 small breaded boneless nuggets in place of the chicken breast it was supposed to have. It also did not have the candied bacon as stated on the menu. The mozzarella sticks were just ok…again not the same quality I experienced during my first visit. The French toast was likely the only highlight of this visit. Although it was delivered at least 10 minutes before my appetizers and the other diner’s meal. The smoking mimosa was cute but not nearly worth the $8 it cost. After you account for the dry ice in a short slim glass, it’s literally a sip of OJ and champagne. Overpriced and poor quality is an understatement to sum up this visit. These concerns have very little to do with a worker shortage. The kitchen and wait staff were in abundance on the day and time of my visit and the restaurant was barely half full.
Sat in the lobby for 10 minutes with no one paying attention to me or my party. I was sat at the first table and its uneven and wobbly. 10 more minutes before we were even approached by our waitress. 15 minutes until drink delivery. One drink had no syrup in the soft drink and it was 45 minutes in before we had her come back to tell her about it. 5 minutes past and no drink. She came back after another 5 minutes with 1 of our 3 appetizers and it was wrong. Asked for 3 plates and got 2. The street corn was overcooked and chewy. 1 hour later our food comes out. Turns out there is no brown sugar slaw or aole so one of got just a chicken and cheese bun. The other burgers were fine. The fries were good. The cauliflower bites were massive uncut pieces of cauliflower battered and fried with stems in tact covered in ranch which makes the fried portion soggy.Loved the idea of the place, but the price, service and quality of the food doesnt justify the price.
I always love the sit down experience! We had my humans Birthday brunch there and the staff was amazing! The vibes were great! The food was amazing! I do like the breakfast food alot! I still dont recommend the online ordering... but if you have time to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere you will not be disappointed!
Food was alright I do feel it was a bit over priced. The twilight was too sweet for us. There was friendly service from everyone we encountered. We were seated promptly during reservation time. I do wish our server checked on us a bit more especially towards the end of our meal because we waited for. A while for the checks and to go boxes even after getting the attention of another worker. I loved the popcorn they give you before your meal. Some of the decorations and props seemed cheesy and thrown together, expected more of an professionally decorated horror themed restaurant. However, I think I would come back to visit with a friend who is from out of town just so they can expierence a different restaurant. Other than that I would not return often.
The establishment is setup nice. But the establishment would not seat our party together and we setup three different reservations. The tables were even empty but they still wouldn’t bend for us we had a birthday dinner this was very disappointing. Service was slow for getting our drinks, a group received their drinks and food before we did. Our service sucked we waited two hours for our food therefore they ran out of fries. I’ve never been told if I have reservations and I sit at the bar while waiting for my table I would have to cancel the reservation. Our waitress totally forgot our table didn’t even ask if we needed refills, some orders were wrong, just all the way bad experience. The entertainment was good.
The only thing good was the drink the decoration was more movie themed less haunted house feel. Waited for 40 minutes before even getting asked what we wanted to drink everything food wise was extremely sweet we got crab cakes nachos pizza and wings. Everything tasted nasty and way to sweet for food that should not be sweet spent $130+ tip and hated everything about it. Never would I recommend or go again 🤢🤢

2022-03-13My haunted house experience customer service great job their very friendly and creative. The appearance is different and creative as well. The art work is dope. Are seating was not great at all the table was very small for 4 people. The menu and the food nothing thrilled over at all food items are very limited too my likely. I love the different names of options. Food tasted horrible in my opinion I wasn’t impressed and it’s very expensive the kids menu not an big fan either. The drinks are good fun and creative. The music was great. Great for birthday party celebration good fun vibes. Characters have great personalities family fun. Overall 3/5 great atmosphere and fun drinks more of an hang out vibe. Food is expensive and not worth it. It was my least favorite and disgusting at the part. I do want to try their breakfast even though I’m not an big fan of the dinner. I would recommend to my family & friends for the drinks and good vibes only

2022-06-12It was awesome! So much fun. My girls and I went for dinner and had a reservation. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ran into my girl Nhoja, who works there. The drinks were a bit slow to come out and a lot of times we couldnt find our server. They definitely need more wait staff. But overall a fun, interactive atmosphere. You can participate in name that horror tune, dance, and movie characters like Michael Myers come around so you can take pictures. The drinks are a bit pricey but theatrical. Food was excellent. Great place for all ages. Ill definitely be back.

2022-01-16This was our second visit and they still made a great impression. Atmosphere is perfect, food is insanely good. Staff is friendly and fun. Food was good enough that we all wound up sharing cause we were all so impressed. Trivia was so much fun and there was a sense of community. Will definitely go back!

2022-01-17This was an amazing experience I had planned for my boyfriend, who loves all things horror. We were not disappointed! Every detail is fantastically executed, the decor is incredible, and the food is fabulous. We live several hours away, and this was one of the main destinations on our list. I wish there was a location closer to our area. The restaurant is dimly lit, so it is difficult to see the menus. We had to use the flashlights on our phones, so bring something like that to illuminate them. That would be my only suggestion for improvement: place small candles or spooky-looking, low lit lamps on the tables for a little extra light that would not interfere with the ambience.

2022-04-03I drove from Michigan with my kids and a friend. I’m a huge horror fan and was super excited. I honestly loved it and my kids thought it was pretty cool. The workers had such great energy, fun activities and music. The drinks were amazing. The food (was there for brunch) was good but not my favorite. Mainly everything waffle lol but they had better options for different time frames. I will be going again and making reservations for later in the day.

2022-05-17We stopped in for brunch last weekend and we sure were glad we did! We really want to go back sometime to see it at night. This place gets super busy from what we hear so be sure you make reservations before you just show up. Dont say we didnt warn you! There were 4 of us and the food we ordered was good and of a good serving size. Weve heard the food wasnt food from others but ours was. Now we will say, it was pretty pricey for what it was. The fogging drink that comes out in a giant glass was $22 for one. However, they played some horror movie trivia games while we were there and our table won 2 free movie posters so that was cool. They had some awesome, painted murals on the walls but there werent many moving props. We visit many haunted houses so we were expecting to see a bit more actual haunted house decor. We also thought the bathrooms would be quite a bit more decorated than they were... Why not, right? Our waitress was very friendly and the complimentary buttered popcorn was a nice touch. Other staff that we ran into were also friendly and seemed happy we were there.Right before we left, a staff member dressed as Michael Myers came inside and rinsed about talking selfies with guests and even sitting down at their tables to interact with them. At least we think that was a staff member...

2022-04-09OMG! When I say this was the light of my first time in Cleveland, this place made me 😊 happy. Their was great tunes 🎶 in the air and plenty of horror movies playing on all the screens that were new and old🥰. I really loved that the themed was fluent throughout the entire restaurant (even the bathroom😅). Our server was nice and attentive, and she quickly resolved an issue with my drink. The lamb could’ve been seasoned, but my food was okay. Bottomless mimosas hit! 😝I’ll definitely recommend and go back; because I didn’t get to stay long enough 🤣🥹

2022-04-29This was my first time there and the experience couldnt have been more amazing. The environment is well thought out and perfectly executed. The staff were very nice and good at what they did, from the super sweet host, to our waitress Morgan, and the talented bartender. The food was top tier and the general theme/feel of the restaurant was an experience like NO OTHER. Ill definitely be returning and telling all my family and friends about this amazing gem Ive found.

2022-02-01Very cool! Had such awesome drinks! I got a poison apple which they put edible glitter in! It was so pretty. My fiance got a Beetlejuice too. We were in a rush so we only got appetizers, but the Nachos and Regular (non vegan) Mexican Street Corn was to DIE FOR! (Pun intended) Although, I do want to mention it was pretty crowded to the point that I was literally back to back with the person behind me. It was a pretty loud environment. I wouldnt recommend it for a romantic or intimate get together.
