We sat at this restaurant for an hour without without being served our food. The waitress never came back once to see if we needed refills. We had an appetizer and she billed for the entire meal slamming the check on the table. Didnt even apologize. Unbelievably unprofessional and and rude. Would Never recommend this place
Service and food were both lacking... The loaf sub was so meager had no meat or cheese the thickest things on it was the tomato and banana peppers, burnt meat also. The blackened chicken gyro was not blackened and had like 2 1/2 pieces of chicken on it . Slow slow slow service and for a $50. Lunch I was totally screwed
It is a little hard to find, but well worth the search. Food is great (sweet potato fries are awesome) specialty drinks are very good. We had the smokehouse cheddar and the bacon jam & Brie Burgers. Both were very good. I didnt mention the have a volleyball ball Court. Cant wait for when its warm enough to play.👍👍👍👍👍
This was my first time at this restaurant I would have gave it 4 stars but my drinks were not up to par I had originally ordered the Miami Vice but they did not have I had originally ordered the Miami Vice but they did not have the for it. So I end up ordering something Berry it had strawberry in it lime and a mint. Mind you I did not taste any alcohol whatsoever at all for the price of the drink I would have just ordered a flavored lemonade or something not alcoholic since thats what it taste like. Mind you I dont want it to be super strong but I wanted at least taste what Im paying for and thats the alcohol. Prior to that I ordered a glass of wine which was Riesling. The reasoning was very good but put in a very small glass instead of a regular wine glass it was a very short glass so I felt like I was being cheated with that too. As for the service It was friendly but a tad slow considering it was a Sunday night and not very busy. I ordered the wedge salad which was very good nice and fresh. I also ordered bone-in wings with mango habanero sauce the sauce was very good but some of my wings were not cooked hard enough. I also ordered a half Italian sub with homemade chips. The sub was good but a little on the dry side. Overall I would say the best thing was the salad my best friend she ordered a house salad or garden salad it was very huge and well worth the money and seem to be better than the food that she ordered. I enjoy sitting on the patio which was nice. But as far as food its not all that compared to other places that are similar or serve similar food but if you want a great salad I would say this would be a good choice.
The place was quiet, clean, and was of a good style. Our server was very accommodating and very nice. Its a perfect place for those who are looking for a quiet place perhaps a date. Their menu was simple but also had a small list of drinks that were lacking in diversity.
Great spot, even in the winter! Welcoming atmosphere, great decor and awesome food. Serious bartender knew what he was about with the cocktails (like this review if you think we should drop ‘craft’ and just hold all cocktails to decent standards). Wish there was one of these out in California! I had to take a picture of the loaded tots, actually came back the next day for more they were so bomb.
The food here is always fantastic and I love the environment! Today’s experience was much different than usual. Our server was DaCoda and it seemed like she didn’t want to be here or serve us. Not sure if her shift was over soon? Her attitude was not welcoming or friendly. Food came out quick, but we never got refills on our drinks and she brought checks without even asking if we wanted anything else. A couple people wanted to order more drinks, but her dropping off checks told us that was apparently not welcomed. Disappointed in today’s experience, but it won’t deter me from returning another time. I just hope I don’t get this server again.
My friend and I had dinner here one night & what a wonderful place! The food was excellent, the drink selection was great & the atmosphere couldnt be beat! They have a wonderful covered area that can be opened or closed (like garage door) depending on weather and an outdoor seating area that can be also be enjoyed. What a cool place to grab a drink, hang out or pig out on great food.
I went to The Goat in Hilliard, Ohio. I was there August 21, 2021 at around 11 pm. Our Waiter, Brandon was awesome and very accommodating! He was caring and answered any questions we had. My boyfriend and I love the environment the place brings. Even though the pizza maker was down and their grill, Brandon showed us the night menu and we were quick to get some delicious wings and tots! Yummy !! Thank you Brandon! Keep up the good spirits! :)
Sweet potato fries were great. Food was good. Nice atmosphere minus the water truck traipsing a water hose through the restaurant during dinner for some type of drain problem. It was my birthday. Had a reservation and all. Hose and workers were going back and forth immediately surrounding our table. Was hoping a discount would have been offered for the gross disturbance but no luck. Full price for all 5 of us
Regarding your response….you can not “assure me” that I wasn’t ignored intentionally because YOU werent there. Nothing like writing a review to let YOU know what happened during my visit. Then 4 weeks later when you respond by basically called me a liar. Wow. No the customer is definitely not always right or has the right to say what they experienced and know it would be corrected. If you know better….you should do better. That’s allService is slow because they are short staffed and I get that. It looking away to avoid people is just rude. I worked as a server in college and I know that I over tip….not with these jokers. Go downtown for better food and service.
Bar was dirty. Lots of empty bar stools but nowhere to sit because of dirty glasses and clutter. Slow service. Ordered their specialty Black Walnut Old Fashioned, but it wasnt an Old Fashioned. Appetizers were mediocre. Ordered a glass of wine that tasted like vinegar. Attempted to order a round of shots. Asked for 4 different things, were told they were out of each item. Left and went elsewhere. Server was friendly, but seemed overwhelmed.
First time going to The Goat and food was great. The wings were crispy and the pizza roll was a nice start to the meal. The burgers are good and my wife loved her salad. My only critiques right now would be the lack of a kids menu and the upcharge on tots wasnt worth it for 6 of them. You get half a platter of homemade chips included or pay $3 for 6 homemade tots with cheese sauce.
Love the foot and atmosphere, great bar and patio area. However servers need to be more attentive to customers in the bar area. I sat at the bar for about 15-20 minutes and no one helped. Another gentleman had the same issue. When he finally got the attention of the bar attendant, he put in my order with his since I was waiting as long as he was. Servers were nice once they noticed us. An apology would have been nice too.
Excellent food. The burgers were properly cooked to order, the tots were INCREDIBLE, and the sweet potatoe fries were near perfect and the wait staff was quick, helpful, and didnt make mistakes. This was my first experience at any Goat restaurant, and I will happily return to try other menu items.
Pizza was delicious. Atmosphere fun with patio seating. Asked for receipt in restaurant with pickup. I placed online as I needed for work. I was told it would be delivered to my email, it was not. I called the restaurant and was assured it would be delivered to my confirmed email by the manager. It was not. Disappointing customer service on what should have been a simple request.
The food was great but everything else was terrible. The bar service was preoccupied with putting cups away than taking our order. We waited 15-20 minutes for our drinks. Our food took about 45 more minutes because the bar tender was very considered about her side work for closing being completed than attending to the customers at the bar. Marisa was nice but terrible attentiveness to customers, drink, and food orders.
I ordered from this place last night on Uber Eats and I desperately wish I hadn’t. The food was terrible!! We ordered nachos and the blue buffalo pizza. The nachos were basically a box of chips with a handful of toppings thrown around. I could probably count the amount of toppings. It seemed like someone started to make them, and then forgot to finish. A few tomatoes here. A few bits of avocado, and a bite of bacon or two, then just chips. The pizza was worse. The $2 up charge for the gluten free crust is a joke. That crust tasted like it was pulled from a freezer then microwaved until the edges became rock like. The toppings seemed dropped together in the center and old. Then the whole thing baked under a heat lamp until it was completely hard. It had no flavor and you had to guess as to what they had put on it because the taste was so bland. You had to drink water just to be able to swallow. Do not waste your money!
First and only time at The Goat and I decided I wasnt leaving and Id be the new tenant, the braised pork tots were that good. Not even ashamed I accidentally ate some of the paper, there was beer cheese and chipotle aioli on it. The paper was pretty bland, which is how I prefer my inadvertent cellulose intake.
Our waitress was amazing! The food was great, a little pricey but worth it for how nice it was inside. My only suggestion would be to post somewhere that brunch is only on weekends because I dont remember seeing that on the website, and to also be a little more descriptive in the sauces/toppings on certain items.I would definitely go back to try some other items on the menu, and to people watch when the weather is warmer!
Unfriendly waiter, he seemed very annoyed to take our order. I asked for coffee and he sounded annoyed that he would have to brew more. Our food was sitting for 8-10 minutes at the counter waiting to be brought to our table. We ordered the Hot Chicken Dip and that was really good,m and we ordered items off the lunch menu and it was over salted and overpriced. When I asked for a side of hot sauce they charge you for it. I would not recommend this place to a friend or family member.
I love the place decor. The food is excellent especially buffalo dip oh, but the sides are pretty plain. Terrible service even when you get takeout. The waiters walk around passion food three or four times hell! They even pass u a couple times before they acknowledge you.
First time coming to this location and probably won’t be back. We came at 6pm on a Thursday night and it was not busy. We were told we could seat ourselves. Server showed up pretty quick. Did not mention it was happy hour, we had to ask about specials. Drinks then took about 15 minutes. We received our drinks and ordered appetizers. Our appetizers took 47 minutes to come out, one of them luke warm. While sitting down and just looking around our server was constantly up at the host stand talking or on her cell phone. Meanwhile our drinks were empty for 20 minutes and never asked if we wanted refills. Server came to check on us (our drinks were empty) but at that point we were aggravated so we asked for our bill, but don’t worry the check showed up in a matter of seconds. We never even saw a manager going around asking tables how everything was going. Very disappointed. We’ve been to the downtown goat before and had a great experience.
Its a shame I have to leave even a single star for this place. Came in after a two day event that I vended, craving coffee. I know its not their main thing, but I digress. The waitress said they dumped it and cleaned the pot for the night. We asked her if she could make us some, being a restaurant, very easy to do. She refused. We calmly got up, left and are at the Beer Barrell 3 miles away where the service, and the freshly made coffee is excellent.
I had lost my wallet for a full day,and I looked everywhere for it, my last hope was calling Goat and hope for the best. I’m so thankful their staff is very trustworthy and honest that someone found it and they kept it in a safe place. Thank you very much and I really respect the staff, and their Southwest Burger was amazing!!!! Definitely a place to keep going back. 5 STARS 🌟 For sure!!!
Couldn’t understand why the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. But now I do. Asked for an appetizer but never arrived. Our food came in a timely matter but missing chicken for our salads. Hamburger buns were soggy and meat just ok. Waiter said appetizer ticket was lost oh well. Won’t be back this place anytime soon!
Terrible service ...we ordered two drinks, apps, four dinners... waited 40 minutes ... groups came in and sat down 20 minutes after us and were mid way through their meals when I decided to ask if our food was coming to be informed there were still two tickets in front of us. Told them to cancel .. left the waitress ( older female who was very professional and nice) a tip and walked out. Won’t return.
What a terrific find. Unique menu items, friendly staff, charming atmosphere - what else could you ask for? Everything we ordered was delicious and the menu itself was to die for. Bonus that their service is so wonderful, they are so swift and friendly. The Goat Hilliard is a spectacular, I am certainly plan on returning.
This place is great. Sure the location is kinda strange, but otherwise it has good food, good atmosphere, and a great beer selection. Even better they have a sand volleyball court and outdoor games. Once COVID comes under control, I can see my family coming back here frequently.
I want to keep giving this place second chances because of its potential but every time I go I am disappointed. Good food and atmosphere but poor and SLOWWWW service. Also every time I get carry out I am waiting an extra 20-30 minutes in the restaurant for the food I ordered ahead of time.
Terrible service. Sat at the bar near a pile of dirty dishes from the last customer. Ordered a beer and asked for a menu. Only got a beer. Nobody cleaned the dirty dishes up or wiped the bartop near me. Disgusting. Ill never be back. Should have asked for a manager but if thats the way they do it here.
We came in two days ago around 3. We sat outside. I got the “The Goat burger” with tots. My wife got tacos and we got a pizza and fried pickles for all of us and my son. The food was delicious. The service was great and my 6 year old had a blast just running around on the volleyball court ha. It was a welcome relief to eat out again and I can say without hesitation that we will be back.
I had heard good things about The Goat so I wanted to try it. The legendary tots were over cooked and my wife couldnt get a fork into them. My burger was a bit dry. I asked for not more than medium, but it was closer to well. The service is awesome and it is a beautiful place.Since my first visit, I did go back and try The Goat again. There was quite a difference on this visit. The service was still top notch and the cleanliness was excellent. This time, the food was prepared precisely as ordered and the tasted awesome. I now understand why the tots are called legendary, and they are. I especially liked the farmhouse. They are like a party in the mouth. Try their burgers. I think you will become a fan of this restaurant as I now am.
Surprisingly slow for a Friday night, and I can only blame it on the pandemic because our service was great, drinks were mixed great and the food was quick, fresh, and FLAVORFUL! I usually just order takeout for Girls night because their pizza, gooodddd. but we decided to get out and go in for once, and it was worth it. Well be coming back!
We went to visit The Goat in Hilliard on date night. We had a great experience. The mood of the restaurant was relaxing and low-key. We went during happy hour and got beer and $5 cocktails, which were strong but delicious! We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and they were AMAZING! A must-try. Then, we ordered the gyro and Caribbean jerk tacos as entrees, and they did not disappoint. They were both full of flavor. The service was quick, and our waitress was great. Well definitely be back again!
Service slow. Server not knowledgeable. Food was cool and not prepared as per menu. Waited 1 hour from time of order. This was supposed to be a treat for my 5 daughter in laws plus 2 grandchildren. Very disappointed. We used to come here often but we were noticing a decline in service/food. Too bad.
This place is my favorite casual spot for lunch. The food is great, simple sandwiches, salads, and pizza with quality toppings. The impressively high ceiling is paired with floor to ceiling windows making the most of the poolside view. Its a little hard to find the first time, and be aware that the service is typically a little more relaxed. Be sure you have plenty of time as the typical meal here has been about 80 minutes from when we are seated to the check.
What a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is chill, outdoor seating beside sand volleyball courts, friendly service, and the food was top notch. We shared the Buffalo dip and blackened fish tacos as appetizers. The chicken and goat wrap is very good and my friend had the salad with grilled chicken and bourbon dressing. All in all, Im excited to reccomend this place and return.
I visited this place while visiting my family and my significant other and I liked it so much we came back a second time before leaving! The atmosphere is amazing, we found ourselves commenting on how spacious and clean it was and the decorations were interesting. Even the bathrooms have cool farm style sinks and exposed pipe looking faucets. The menu was tasty and a great price. When recounting the food we ate while visiting, we both mentioned the food here being the best. He said the Guinness burger was one of the best burgers he had in his life. I had the farm tots once and then the braised pork tots, both were packed with flavour and all the ingredients worked together perfectly. They have a great happy hour on Tuesday where you get the tots on sale so the second time I got them, they were $2.50 off.We will definitely be coming back the next time we visit!
This is a funky place. I decided to come here because my architect suggested it. they have created an entirely new concept with an apartment complex and its amenities surrounding a bar and grill. I think this was a very clever concept and Im glad my architect suggested I see it. we came during happy hour and had happy hour cocktails which were very sweet and delicious. These apartments may attract a little bit of a younger crowd but I really enjoyed it and I think I would enjoy living there, too.
Your feelings about this place will vary depending on what you are looking for. It has nice outdoor seating and sand volleyball courts so it attracts a kind of frat boy crowd and tends to be crowded on very nice days. Its not obnoxious but definitely not the kind of place I would recommend for intimate drinks with friends. Its a good place to watch a game and get some good pub food. Bartenders are knowledgeable and drink selection is good.
Normally happy with the service I get here. Tonight was a completely different story. bartender very clearly overwhelmed. Obviously annoyed with my ordering something that required more effort than opening a can. Didnt clear any dishes, and my first drink wasnt even full. Spent more time socializing with other staff than behind the bar, despite other guests clearly needing drinks refilled and orders placed. Pretty disappointed.
The food and drinks were good. The restaurant area was clean, but the bathroom was a little wet. The atmosphere was awesome and I loved how much natural light there is. The only thing I didnt like was that the table we sat at had high chairs that were hard to get in and out of.
Interior had a great look to it, but not good acoustics for the bar music blasting so loudly I had to near shout across the table to be heard. We were there on a Friday around 7pm, sure, but it wasnt quite time for that kind of atmosphere yet. Menu looked solid but the food that we had was good but not great overall. Burgers were cooked nicely and the patties themselves were tasty, but the ranch nachos we had to start were... actually a little unpleasant, and thats saying something for nachos.
This is my second visit here. The first time was late night and it took over half an hour to get acknowledged after being told to sit anywhere. Not thrilled with the food at that time. I decided to give it another try. I tried the tots. They were mushy and poor flavor. I also had the blackened fish tacos. The fish was chopped into bits and served almost cold which hopefully does not reflect that it was not cooked enough. However the service this time was great. I won’t be back.
My most recent experience at this location was fantastic! I have been to this location several times in the past, usually after 10 p.m., and while the food is always delicious, I have definitely had my fair share of poor service there. However, this time was very different. Kate and Max served us and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Kate was attentive and friendly. Then, when there was a small issue with the food, Max did more than enough to resolve the issue and ensure that we were satisfied. I was very impressed and appreciative!
I have been here several times. We really enjoyed it at first but has gone downhill quickly. They have a great menu and draft beer selection as well as creative cocktails. However, the service is miserably slow and the quality of food from the kitchen is hit or miss. The last time we went in I was served a flat bread that was completely burnt and my husband had his beer sit empty for 20 minutes (we were sitting at the bar)!
I was in town for a wedding and we stopped by for some pizza. The bartender is super nice !!! I love how nice she is!!! The pizza there is fantastic !!! I appreciate how she was very helpful. I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxed. I would definitely stop by here again next time Im in town.
I ordered thru UberEats.Pizza was fairly good. I was a tad disappointed because my online order was for pepperoni pizza with extra sauce and crispy, however, the pizza was not crispy and if this was “extra sauce” then I wonder what regular sauce would be.It was a little salty, but otherwise a pretty average good pizza. I would give them another try in person based on the the positive reviews I’ve seen.
Very noisy! Ive been to this Goat a couple of times, both for after-work functions. The food is good and so is the service, but the high ceilings contribute to a barn-like atmosphere. This place accommodates large groups well, but its very noisy. The tater tots are unique and above average. The flat breads and pizzas are also very tasty.
We came for our lunch food was good, but service was slow. Enjoyed the jerk chicken tacos, but not worth $10. Happy hour is 3 to 7 with daily specials, thats the only way Id return. Even then its the same tacos Anns a draft beer for $10. Cap me cheap but to me thats a bit pricey.
Love love love this place! I come here almost every week and enjoy the ambiance, music and energy The Goat has to offer. The staff is one of the friendliest you would find, and if youre a regular like me, they make an effort to remember your favorite drinks and customizations which makes you feel at home. Only teeny suggestion I have for The Goat is to add new items to their food menu!!! For someone like me who has been coming here every week for the past 5 years, I wish I had something new to choose from time to time. Other than that, this place is amazing!!
Food was fine. No complaints. So 2 stars. However, the service was a disappointment. Basically after taking our order and getting our drinks our server Sarah basically disappeared. Had to go up to the bar to get refills. Then when I did go up to the bartender it was clear she was a novice bartender. You see all the ice in my Coke was melted so the glass was half water. She was going to refill the glass but keep the melted ice water in it. I asked if she could empty the water and basically get new ice then coke. She seemed very put off with my request. Sorry but if you’re going to charge me over $2 for a coke, I don’t want it watered down. And the ice in our drinks kept melting fast because clearly this place either lost their AC or decided not to run it. Kind of made the place a little more humid than it should be. Especially when it’s 90+ outside. Waitress apologized at the end for the long wait time for drink refills and the food. Which proper customer service tells me you take off 15% or something. So whoever manager was probably didn’t really care or was too clueless to know.
Food was decent a little on the pricey side. The waitress was friendly. The wait time for the food was LONG for two chicken wraps and the place was pretty much empty. Witnessed some drama among employees about whos duty it was to bus tables. Probably wouldnt go back unless someone else wanted to go.
So MUCH customer service. I am here right now and the waitress has come about 20 times in two hours to ask if we needed anything. Food is awesome, atmosphere is fun, and our waitress has pink hair like me. Awesome. Will be back again for a third visit. Bitchin happy hour.
Food is seriously amazing. My waiter was drunk or on drugs or something though. He came by one time 25 minutes after being seated. Gave us waters and took our orders, 35 minutes later we got our food along with our check, then didnt see the waiter again. Had to leave cash to even leave the restaurant because he never came back to get our card.
Easy atmosphere but pricey. i explained my allergy to wheat and gluten and ordered a gluten free pizza. even gave them in writing to be sure no breaded ingredients. they served me breaded chicken instead of grilled. i asked please check again as they insisted it was just seasoning containing none of my allergies listed including number one (wheat/gluten)it ruined my entire visit with family. it also was burnt.
Because the food was amazing, I am giving them 4 stars but the service was completely sub par. We never received silverware even asking for it and werent brought refills (or even asked if we wanted a second beer). The food is honestly so good that it really offsets it. We started with the hot chicken dip. The creamy base is an excellent compliment to the spicy Nashville style chicken shreds on top, and the pickles just add the perfect touch. Both my husband and I ordered burgers. He got the barbecue with tots. The barbecue sauce was sweet and went went with the onion rings on top the burger. The tots are made in house and come with a delicious cheese sauce for dipping. I had the Goat, which is made with goat cheese, peppers, and aioli. The burger was fantastic. The mistake I made was ordering the pulled pork smothered tots. Without silverware these were nearly impossible to eat, I felt like I was trying to pick up mashed potato and gravy with my hands to eat. Dont get me wrong the toppings and tots combination was amazing but I wont order them again unless I already have silverware.
My girlfriend and I waited almost an hour for two salads before we decided to just leave. We never got any kind of update on what was going on, and the waiter seemed, not only socially awkward, but to have no idea about their food. Luckily, we’d only had waters at that point, so we could just leave without having to pay.
Waitress was so kind (Lily) and checked on us frequently. Food wait time was a bit long BUT they were very busy so that should be expected. We werent mad at all. Then when the food came...omg..BEST burger Ive ever had. The toasted bun was heaven. Will definitely come back.
Food was good. Our server was miserable & for some reason took it out on us. Wouldn’t make eye contact, after she took our order probably didn’t see her for about 30 minutes. Had to get another server to get me another drink. & when I asked for the check once again waited about 10 minutes & she triple charge me for my drink. Luckily I caught it & she seemed annoyed that I didn’t want to pay for them.
My server was a bit spacey, but there is an ambience that keeps them busy. They were also cleaning up a buffet from what looks like a party. The -1 star because there is such a significant echo, because of the interior design, that impedes the ability to communicate. We were lucky because it was Thursday and there was an amazing live music performance by a gentleman that was very entertaining, even with the echo. My burger was well made and delicious. However the fries were pointless. They were cold and rubbery, and so were the replacements so we didnt eat them. The chicken tenders had NO flavor. Crispy and juicy chicken - just no flavor in the breading.
Great experience and always a friendly, amiable staff. Seem like people youd share a beer and have a good time. Always cleanly area, food is at temp, and the specials are pretty worth it. Shout out to both the Tuesday TOT special and the Thursday FRENCH BREAD special, bombdiggity!
Had a great time last weekend! Food is outstanding and they honestly have the best host out of all the goats I’ve been too; he helped me out a lot with where to go, napkins, ketchup, getting my servers whenever I need them to check me out, and bathrooms because I was kind of lost lol but overall I had an amazing experience! I’ll be back! Thanks!
This is a great place to watch a game or enjoy happy hour. I recommend the burgers and tacos. The atmosphere is very laid back with live music on the weekends. The Goat is located in the middle of the LC Brooklands community, has a nice patio, volleyball court, and pool for residents only.
Changed my review from 3 stars to one. First few times I liked this place. Food was okay but overpriced. Bar staff is incredibly rude, clearly inexperienced BTs who cant even handle more than three people at once. Servers are also inexperienced, so service is horribly slow despite half a dozen servers standing around the hostess area chatting. Its pretty obvious they only hire kids who have never worked in the business and are willing to work for pennies. Too bad, because it has potential given the location and menu. But for now dont waste your time or money, there are much better places in Hilliard. Go to Oties or Luckys or something.
The service is TERRIBLE! I worked in restaurants for years and this was the worst service I have ever had. There were 12 thats right 12 people at the bar and it took over 10 minutes to get a beer. When we finally got a chance to order our lunch(which was quite good)our server,Autumn B, did not even give us silverware, condiments or even salt and pepper. The highlight was Joe from Homestead Beer who knew a lot more about customer service than the people that actually work for the Goat. Unfortunately, good food may not entice me to back for a return visit. But I will take a ride to Licking County to take a brewery tour at Homestead Beer.
Some friends and I sat down excited to try a new place. We waited 10 minutes for a server and no one came. One of my friends went up to the hostess stand to ask for assistance and was handed menues. Another 20 minutes went by and no one came. As we were walking out the hostess said “have a good night!” As someone who manages people in the customer service industry, i recommend finding more qualified, driven and just plain smarter staff. I won’t be recommending this place to any of my business partners when they travel to town.
I had the avocado salad and added grilled chicken for an extra $3, total $11 salad well worth every penny. This pub is unlike any other. Its within a community of apartments/condos. Its got the sports bar vibe with some craft beers, TVs, lively clientele, etc. The outskirts of the pub are a pool and volleyball sand pits, which may or may not belong to the surrounding complex? But they seem attached to The Goat as well. Loved it and I want to go back!
They have a good beer selection and the food is consistently good. There have been several occasions when Ive visited though where they were out of the items I tried to order. Good thing is, their menu is extensive enough it was very easy to find a great alternative.
First time visit and we will go back. The hot chicken cheesey appetizer was gooey goodness. Had the wings and a Cuban sandwich and both were good too. My boyfriend would love a hotter wing sauce than the mango habanero. Perfect size lunch. Tried the Miami Vice drink and it tasted like summer on a cold winter day. He also liked the bourbon menu and will be back for the Eagle Rare.
I can’t comment on the food because we weren’t fortunate enough to try it. My friends and I walked in, seated ourself in the FRONT of the restaurant, in front of all the waitresses and no one EVER came to take our order. My friend had to physically get up to go ask for menus. But we sat there forever waiting on a waitress. So we left to go down the street to Rusty Bucket where we can actually get served. The waitresses saw us the entire time but they were playing on their cell phones right in front of us the entire time. Horrible experience. I don’t recommend this location if you actually intend to eat.
Just finished at the goat. I unfortunately came during lunch rush but that didn’t stop my waitress from explaining her favorite wraps and burgers on the menu even though she was visibly busy. I love the atmosphere here at the goat. Heard the bartender and server ask eachother multiple times if they were ok, or needed any help. Great to see teamwork at such a hectic hour! Way to go. Will be back again soon.
There was NO customer service!!! I had to go to the front desk to get my own menus after we had been sitting for over 10minutes! Had to get their attention since they were both on their cell phones.... No apology was given. I took menus back to my table and of course no one ever came to take our order. WE ENDED UP LEAVING after we saw the waitress walk up to a table near us to clean up but still never acknowledged our existence.
Good quality food. I usually go there for lunch and is always delicious. Is a little expensive but the food make up for it if you dont go that often. Happy hour is always lively, however the choices of drinks arent that good, at least for my taste. For such good quality of food the drinks where meh in comparisson.
Love the food and over all atmosphere. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because of the service. No matter who waits on me, sitting at the bar or a table the service leavings something to be desired. You get everything you need or ask for eventually just don’t expect them to be very prompt even when it’s slow, a bit busy or packed never seems to matter.
I frequent the Goat a lot and never leave without getting the Farmhouse Tots, they are life changing. . If you are are looking for a fun and/or competitive volleyball league, you are in the right place. The Goat offers different leagues on almost every night. It is a great place to hang out with friends, eat some great food and play some volleyball.
The food rating alone would likely be a 3. Nothing to write home about at all, but not something I would turn away if completely famished. That was the highlight of the night. After promoting the MLB opening day drink specials on their social media, my party of 10 decided to attend The Goat for a birthday and baseball celebration. We were informed that after being seated and asking to change the television to a baseball, that Ru Paul’s Drag Race, which was playing on 50% of all televisions and over the speakers, would not be changed until after the show was over (it was 15 minutes into a 90 minutes episode). The service overall was very average and got worse towards the end of the evening when we had to attempt multiple times to get our waitresses attention as she ate and watched some Ru Paul towards the back of the restaurant. After 20 minutes of neglect, we eventually we had to ask a bar manager to find our waitress to bring our checks.
We ordered on a Thursday night, placed the order at 6:15pm using Prime delivery. The delivery time was moved back two times, due to the restaurant being busy I guess. When the driver arrived there at 7:30 for pick up, he was told they hadnt started our order. And we were called by the Goat at that point to confirm something ordered…..Never ordering from there again.
Can’t wait for volleyball again this year ! Last year was my first year playing and I really enjoyed it - great place to meet people and even better environment to spend some summer nights at! If you’re looking for a good league to join this summer Hilliard is where it’s at !
If I could give a zero I would. I ordered a higher end drink and got half a normal pour and then got upcharged $4 for a bigger pour. I didnt get a normal pour to begin with and then to be surprised with a extra charge. Paid $20 for half a shot. Place is a rip off. Came here to meet friends and left soon after. I have never been this deceived before by any bar.

2022-02-26Veggie gyro was very good. Prices are fair all around and we loved the late happy hour! They were out of a few things and the oven was down, but we still had a great time! Blueberry mule was fantastic!

2022-01-26Eh… ok beer tap, but mostly kool-aide flavored kiddy beers and IPA’s. No good Lagers or Pilsners, except for some in bottles. I ordered traditional chicken wings, extra extra extra crispy, and they still came out slimy and bloody. The sauce was marginally ok.They do have a decent selection of hard liquors. And the blue cheese dressing is very good. Cool atmosphere, But otherwise, mostly marginal bar food… eh… and a pseudo sophisticated staff and clientele. I won’t be back…

2021-09-11GREAT happy hour! It goes until 7, which is nice compared to others that go til 5 or 6. On a Friday we got 2 tacos for $5 and $5 cocktails that were all delicious! The burgers at other tables looked great as well. We had to try the homemade tots of course, and they were hearty and comforting, not greasy! The BEER CHEESE was very good as well. All around a great happy hour tacos and flavorful drinks. Highly recommend!

2021-09-06This awesome open airy eatery is refreshing and was a lifesaver. It was open after 8pm on a Monday and served food! Our food was great. Naked hamburger, wings, wrap and cauliflower. We were all satisfied to our liking.Months later we stopped by and Taylor S, our server, was awesome. Brunch was great!!! Everyone found something to their liking on the menu. Bacon, fruit, potato hash brown, egg omelettes, salad, to a breakfast sandwich. Open at noon on Sundays....

2022-06-11Food was good, lots and veg options and the prices were fair. Or server Brandon was on the ball! Got the veggie gyro and it was delish! One word of warning though, they have brunch menus until 2 on the weekend. So if you go in at 1pm on a Saturday, you have a limited menu with no burgers or tacos. But this is becoming standard anymore.

2022-06-09On June 4th 2022 I held a special event at the GOAT HILLIARD for a wedding party rehersal gathering ..40+ people were to be present..I arranged this entire affair from N.Y...I worked with now a friend Kendra to coordinate the whole thing!.. I will admit I was somewhat concerned with some negative reviews I had read-totally unfounded we arranged to have the entire starter menu to be placed on 7+ tables by 5:30 that evening..arrived at 5:30 and all food was just coming out!. Guests were told to order other food items as they pleased as well as drinks!.. ALL went off without a hitch ..a special thanks goes out to servers Hannah, Tina,Kaylee and the entire wait and kitchen staff for their outstanding service! All made this event a memorable on!. Much thanks! James DePietto..
