Cantina had a nice atmosphere and had recently been heavily renovated from the old House of Szechuan. Staff was attentive and friendly. Reason for the 2 stars is that my shredded chicken burrito was very bad, and was not worth the price.
We really loved the food and the atmosphere here. We didnt have a reservation on a Thursday night, but were told we could sit at the bar instead because of the full house. We got the chips and salsa, 5 tacos, and pickled veggies. All were great. The Al pastor tacos were especially good. The salsa was the best Ive ever had by far. The only down side was the price. We spent $35 on just that without tip. Also, while I understand its more of courtesy elsewhere, it was disappointing that the salsa wasnt unlimited. Bottom line, we will come back and we will certainly get more salsa!
First time coming here, we did arrive a little late in the day (about 8 PM and they closed at 9 PM). Everything was made fresh, the entire staff was friendly. Everything was amazing, the food, the staff, the drinks. Everything. Fresh ingredients and fresh food. 100% coming back and recommend.

Nice atmosphere and good service but my daughter and I thought the food was bland and over priced. I got a pork burrito and wished that I went to Hot Heads instead. There was nothing special about it.

I have eaten here a hand full of time and every time the food is fantastic, the wait staff are on it and we are greeted with happy smile and a friendly attitude. The prices are fair and comparable to other local establishments. I highly recommend stopping in to try it out.
Not a lot to chose from compared to other areas Mexican restaurants. Prices are ridiculous. Family of 4, all ordering a quesadilla, 1 being a child, and 3 side of beans, plus drinks... Damn near $75. Not to mention... 3 days later and I STILL have food poisoning. If I could give this place 0 stars, I sure would.
We stopped in on busy night for downtown Bellefontaine. Did not have reservations didnt know they took reservations, had a group of 7 so we where expecting to have a wait to get a table. The Manger said let me see what I can do cause we have a lot of reservations, he stood there and rearranged tables to make it work. He seated us right away. Then our waitress was great also. The food was amazing. We will be going back yo the Flying Pepper. Great Saturday evening night out.

Steak taco great, shredded chicken taco great. Chips and salsa taste just like chips and salsa. Though these things taste great, they are simple to make so why do they costs so much!? $4 for a taco!? That’s pretty steep. That’s more then a $1 a bite of this taco! Yep, it’s gone in 3 bites! Not to mention there plenty of places to get tacos in this town! Just my opinion.
Great little spot in Bellefontaine. Enjoyed this when visiting from DC. Nice decor and friendly service too. Nice place for more authentic Mexican. Unexpected in rural Ohio.
We made a reservation and our table was ready and waiting for us. Our waitress, Amber, promptly came to our table and took our order and the food was served quite quickly. Everyone at our table of four was quite pleased with our food and agreed that we will be back. Interesting menu with tasty food. Its not your typical Mexican fare.

Hidden gem in Bellefontaine. Fabulous Mexican fare made with fresh, local ingredients. Fun atmosphere and gorgeous modern architecture. The Queso Fundido is to die for!
Food is some of the best in Bellefontaine. Service a little discombobulated (had 3 different people check if we were being taken care of), but that is also a good thing, right? Im sure the service will keep improving as time passes and they get more experience. For a new restaurant with not a lot of space, their food is outstanding. Be prepared to spend a little $, though. For just my wife and me, we spent $50, including tip. We will certainly go back!

We visit Flying Pepper frequently and often order different items from the menu. We are never disappointed. Everything is always good; especially the Mexican Street Corn and Birria Beef on Tuesday.

2022-07-06Met a friend for dinner and drinks and it was a perfect venue for a mom-date with its small plates and casual vibe. I had heard a lot of rave reviews of the Flying Pepper and it didnt disappoint. We each had a couple tacos and they were the best Ive had in Ohio since moving back from the east coast.

2022-04-30We love Flying pepper but unfortunately had a bad experience this evening. Our group of 5 waited 45 minutes for a table (understandably on a friday evening) however, 4 minutes after receiving a text our table was ready we made it to the host stand. Only to not get seated. The hosts had given our table away. They offered to place us back on the waiting list but at that point we were all starving ! Being slightly frustrated we asked if there was anything they could do for us in the sense of discounts , they proceeded to hand us a 1 Fifty percent off appetizer coupon…As a former host i understand things happen but was so so disappointing!!

2022-05-09Bellefontaine is very lucky to have this restaurant. It has fresh authentic Mexican cuisine, huge portions, and a relaxed elevated ambiance. My personal favorites are the birria tacos (Tuesdays), and the jumbo shrimp tacos (huge and fresh every day).

2022-06-24Not was hyped up about, steak nachos looked & tasted like burger. Was told it was steak and was told that customers would like it this way better instead of actual pieces of steak. Probably saving money by grinding it up. Probably wont go back, Probably ok for a lunch outing. I was thinking of trying the steak pablano but it will probably be the same. I can get steak nachos that are steak nachos from LA palmas.
