One of my favorite place to eat at, the food is amazing and is so simple but you can tell had a lot of thought put into it when the menu was made. I appreciate how small it is and how comfortable the atmosphere is. The workers there are all very nice and quick to serve you. Great addition to the area and great quality food.
Avon Lakes jewel. First time here and will defiantly be back. The Caslon is super clean, food is delicious. Had the cod sandwich and burger…delish ! The barmaid, Kelly, was super and made us feel like we were regulars❤️

Fantastic little spot right on Lake Rd. Cozy, but not close quarters with a nice ambiance. I would definitely recommend stopping in when the weather is nice and the roll up doors are up for the open-air experience right off the lake. Food is very good. I would not pass up the Lobster Mac.
We tried the tater tots, the scotch egg and the BBQ beef sliders for appetizers and to take home. We had the lobster fettuccine for dinner. Everything was outstanding! I cant wait to come back here and try more things. Very reasonably priced also.
We were at The Caslon for a wedding shower. Drove right past it originally - keep your eye out for it on the south side of the street! We joked it could be an FBI safe house as it was hard to find. Needs better signage. ANYWAY, we were there for a private event and it was beautiful. The food was very good - especially those crispy potato balls. OMG! Nice vibe, good location. Would love to return in the evening when they have the big garage bay doors open and enjoy the lake breeze.
Hard to beat this spot! Fantastic value with a higher end feel but not pretentious.

I had heard great things about The Caslon, and finally had a chance to try it out. The food and service were outstanding. The pub fish sandwich was very tasty, as well as the loaded tots. Will definitely be back.
I was excited to try this new local restaurant in the area. I ordered takeout from this place today & the food was inedible. The tater tots were so dry & the potatoes were overdone. I ordered the margarita flatbread which was also inedible. It was swimming in vinegar & super salty. None of the food came as advertised & came with no fresh ingredients anywhere on the food. I really wanted to like this place but this isn’t what I ordered or paid for & I will not be returning anytime soon.
This place was so cool! Absolutely loved the industrial mod interior. Cant wait for warm weather when the roll up doors are opened. Food was great! Quick and friendly bartender. Only reason for the 4 star is because it is small inside so seating is limited. We would totally be regulars here though.
This little restaurant is a jewel. I wish more people knew about it. It has trendy, creative small dishes. The prices are surprisingly low. We love the crab cakes, flatbreads, loaded tater tots, and the salads and soups are good. My husband and I go there fairly often and were vegetarian but we always find plenty to love. We highly recommend it.
Ive been twice now and the atmosphere is such an upgrade from the previous establishments that occupied this space. The building has been completely renovated and the space has more than doubled with the renovation! Great for small plates to share and a nice beer/ wine selection. Service has been top notch as well. So nice to see something new in Avon lake!
A friend and I stopped by around 11pm and they opened doors for us, poured us a delicious drink and we had amazing conversation. I plan on returning when they are open and trying out the menu.What a beautiful setting and the owners are warm and welcoming.I will be back many times.
Great menu, great service, great food—and now open for lunch. And with outdoor tables and open garage doors it’s a good choice for a physically distanced meal or drink. So nice to have it in Avon Lake!
Glad to see some new life on this side of town. Clean, nicely lit, good use of space. Menu has some interesting offerings, tried the stuffed mushrooms and they were pretty good even with mushrooms being out of season. Service was lacking however, bartender was preoccupied and not very friendly.
Great food and generous portions. Decided to drop in early Saturday right after the my opened for a late brunch. Drinks were reasonably priced, the mark up was decent. We ordered the poutine and their pulled pork nachos. Loved it. Would highly recommend those, and share (especially the nachos) given the portion size. The poutine was delicious, haven’t had a lot, but had it in Canada once so guess I know what it’s supposed to taste like.Would highly recommend it, worth traveling to for those not local to Avon Lake.
I went to Caslon for the first time yesterday. I was really nice inside. Our server was awesome. The food was amazing. Great atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to go, Enjoy It! Burger was Amazing!
Cutest little spot. Stopped while out on a moped cruise. Friendly staff, nice lil patio. Reasonable beer prices. Some plates can be modified to be vegan.
The food here is always excellent the servicer very pleasant . The atmosphere very modern and clean. This is a quality not quantity place. But the prices are fair. If you are a major big eater order more different things. Your mouth will thank you for so many ways to be delighted.
Food is excellent, the place is clean and the servers are fabulous. You cant go wrong here even though its tiny.
Perfect place for a date night. High quality food and drinks without an outrageous bill, loud noise, or heavy crowds. Perfect little clean neighborhood spot with friendly service, modern decor, and a comfortable atmosphere. My husband and I make this our first, if not only, stop on the rare occasions we have a babysitter and energy to leave the house and are never disappointed!

On a Saturday afternoon road trip ended up in Avon Lake around dinner time. The Caslon is a fantastic spot. Quaint, great food, excellent service...5 + Stars!

WOW! Food was FANTASTIC, service was fast and friendly, the entire establishment was clean, and proper signage posted for mask wearing and social distancing. I was VERY IMPRESSED. I will surely be coming back!

2022-07-18This is a very cozy bar. My chicken sandy was huge, but the fish sandy we got was a little small. Both were tasty. The lone bartender was excellent! Great service even with a lot of customers. Decent beer selection. Awesome place to go to enjoy open air dining and drinking!

2022-03-11Have been there 2 x since it reopened. The bar staff consist of Nicole, amazing she never missed a beat, waited on tables, tended bar ,bused tables all with a friendly face and great personality! Drinks and food great. Such a cute little place.

2021-10-06Impromptu decision...thought wed try something new. The food was great, best burger I have had in a long time. The service was also great. Kelly was very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. She was very attentive even though it was pretty busy. Cant wait for my next visit.

2021-09-02Delicious food, served piping hot, excellent service. We sat at the table forever and were not rushed. The breeze blowing through felt wonderful. The menu has a great selection, the server was so accommodating and nice. I can recommend the fish sandwich, it was crispy breaded cod with wonderful fresh toasty hot fries, and the dip trio appetizer was great. I didnt taste my friends quinoa bowl but it looked very good. The three dips in the dip trio were excellent and tasted homemade. I didnt get wine or a drink but the selection at the bar looked extensive. this place is a hidden gem. I kind of hope it stays open but stays hidden.

2022-01-18Was at restaurant and waited hour and a half for meal to come out. Making food for take-out and ignoring seated customers. Would like to raise my initial review. Owner contacted me shortly after I posted. Apologized and stated that some workers called off and they were short-handed. Servers were very polite. Only suggestion is that if waiting time for food is extra-long - notify the customer.
