I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel recently and I must admit I enjoyed my stay and hated leaving. This hotel reminds me of a bed and breakfast. It has the restaurant, the bar, the pool, beautiful rooms and the friendliest staff. I recommend everyone stay here. It is so worth it not to mention the outlet mall and store plaza are all within 10 minutes from the hotel. Its in a great location.
This past weekend my daughter got married here. We checked in on Friday had a rehearsal dinner, Saturday reception and Sunday brunch. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The food was fantastic, HOWEVER what sets this wonderful place apart is their staff!!! From front desk, house keeping pool attendant to the bar tenders at the six hourse tavern, everyone for every guest that stays at this wonderful place comfort and accommodation is their goal and it shows! As for the wedding. I being the Mother of the bride Cindy, our event planner walked us through every step of the way...reminding me every time I started to freak about anything that her and her staff has got itsShe was right! The attention to detail was awesome.THANK YOU AURORA INN FOR MAKING MY DAUGHTER AND HER NEW HUSBAND HAPPY ON THIER SPECIAL WEEKEND.
They had a family style dinner, that was fantastic. The dinner consists of Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, salad, bread rolls, green beans, and of course dessert either a slice of cheesecake or pumpkin pie. The staff here followed the guidelines perfectly and kept the tables more than 6 feet apart. They were really nice and I never ran out of a drink or food here they always got what we needed. Sadly it didnt seem like they got much business this year compared to the previous years. Our waitress Lisa was extremely helpful, nice, and patient with my family. Thank you for serving our family on this Thanksgiving day!!!
We had a great stay at the Aurora. We brought our dog, and not only were they accommodating but it was great that they had a patio outside to eat at so we didnt have to leave her in the room. The staff was so friendly and helped with whatever we needed. Also the food at the Six Horses was nothing short of delicious. We will be back in town soon and well be only looking to stay here again since it is a one stop shop for great food, great staff, and a nice king size pet friendly room.
We have a longstanding love affair with the Aurora Inn dating back 40 years. Its clean and conveniently located. Updates are not in keeping with its historic style. Consider keeping small rooms uncluttered and simple. We dont need a microwave sitting on top of a fridge for a 1 day/night stay.
We recently stayed here during a long weekend for a wedding. The entire staff were friendly and extremely helpful. As we were there during a pretty good snow storm we spent a lot of time in the hotel. We took advantage of the sauna and indoor pool, enjoyed several delicious meals in the restaurant, and spent an evening in the bar by the fireplace. The wedding party came from all over the country and thanks to thoughtfully designed areas to socialize in, it was easy to get to know each other over meals, drinks and talking. If we are in the area again I would go out of my way to stay here.
The staff is amazing and caring, the bar is fun. They are beyond dog friendly. This hotel and the staff made what easily could have been a horrible experience pleasantly bearable. We have stayed 3 times now, the first was for an appointment at Cleveland Clinic that turned into an eight night stay for myself and the dog while my husband was kept in the hospital. They checked on the dog and walked him when I was gone for hours. We have stayed for the follow up appts and will be back there the next.
Excellent staff and very friendly. The new menu is excellent. The new chef is incredible. They cut the steaks in house as well as fresh seafood that is bought locally and flayed in house. House keeping is very good. As a frequent guest, I stay a minimum of 111 nights per year at this hotel over the past 8 years.
Charming historic inn that’s been beautifully remodeled with an updated style everyone loved. Great venue for our big family event needing two dozen guest rooms. The Veranda event space was perfect for the main gathering. Kids loved the indoor pool. The food was excellent all weekend, especially the sandwiches and breakfasts. Very clean. Comfy beds. Friendly staff. We would go back!
The rooms were clean and comfortable at this friendly small chain that doesnt feel like a chain. The rooms were small and a little cold. Suggest ask for a high floor. I understand those are a little warmer. This is a busy intersection but I didnt hear any car or other room noise. The Resteraunt down stairs was good solid food.
This is our 2nd time here. We really enjoy the atmosphere, updates and how nice and clean the hotel is. We will continue to come and stay here as long as our daughter is in college.Restaurant - nice, service was quick, food was good, price was a bit on the higher side but over all was great. The cook came over to make sure everything was good and if anything else we needed.server - Wish I got her name, she was awesome (she has 3 young ones) very attentive and great feedback on our questions!
Awesome place for a local getaway. Cozy, kind energy. Quaint in the best way. Romantic if you want it to be. The bar and bartender were amazing. I used to travel for work and have had my share of hotel experiences. This was one of the best; and luckily not a work trip!
The property itself is very rustic and charming. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wish there was a hot breakfast, but the banquet room was lovely. The indoor pool was nice, it was warm enough for the kids to swim but cool enough to still be refreshing. If you are looking for a place to stay with more character than the chain hotels, this is the one! Rates were very reasonable as well.
Great staff, amazing property and good food! Love the story behind this property. They were going through a renovation during my stay but I cant wait to one day go back and see it finished. The rooms have great beds, awesome bathrooms and plenty of space thats needed for travel. Loved the sauna, wish I wasnt so busy otherwise I would of enjoyed it more!!!
My reservation of a single King room got translated somehow to a pet room, but after a bit of back and forth, they gave me a nice double Queen room. Room 70 was spacious and very quiet, overlooking the rear grounds. There was a built- in closet as well as a free- standing one next to the desk. An identical- looking piece on the other side of the dsk housed the mini- fridge and coffee maker.Everything was fairly new- looking. The lighting was a bit on the cold side for my liking. The internet functioned well throughout the stay. There were no outlets at the desk for my laptop charger, so I had to unplug the TV to get power. There was one outlet between the two beds available, and because the lamp on the bedside table was the only light in the bedroom, it was not practical to unplug that one.The bathroom was basic, but the shower had a variable volume control, which far too few hotels in the US have -- why do most have all- or- nothing, water- wasting blasters? Good on the Inn for having these.Breakfast was good, a buffet- style for the bacon, sausage and gravy, etc., and eggs ordered, fresh- cooked, from the server. My omelet was excellent.
Great experience at the Aurora Inn. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The whole hotel seemed recently renovated and very clean. The wait staff at the restaurant and bar were incredibly courteous and helpful. We had a large family gathering in the conference center, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. One of the staff members heard that we were looking for a deck of playing cards, and she had someone pick some up at a nearby store to bring them to us. Over the top service.
We had a wedding nearby and the Aurora inn was more than accommodating. They hosted our rehearsal dinner and were following Covid guidelines to keep us safe . The dinner was delicious with all of our guests delighted . The rooms were clean , spacious and comfortable. I will be recommending The Aurora inn to anyone traveling to the area
Its a great little place to stay. This was my third time there. First time was before the remodel. It had a snow lodge feel. Second time had a recorded room last year. It was great, clean, and enjoyable. This time I was on the first floor and had no privacy curtains. The room wasnt very clean. The remodel looked thrown together last minute, and was done poorly. This room didnt look very clean this time. Not sure if the first two amazing visits can make up for this last.
This place is great. Its built in a historical building and has fairly recently been renovated and updated. Rooms are cute and homey, a little rustic in decor which is a nice change from the usual hotel chain. The bed was comfortable, sheets and pillows soft. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant food is pretty decent and the bar is quaint and fun. Definitely would return here. Rates seemed reasonable.
Gorgeous wedding venue! Stayed at the Aurora Inn over the summer and saw the end of this wedding reception in the courtyard. It was late, and things were winding down. Even at the end of the night, this place still looked amazing - the tent, the landscaping, the lighting. Wow! The hotel is pretty nice too. Its an old hotel that has been completely renovated with stylish design elements. Couldnt recommend this hotel more.
Location was easy to find, parking was limited but the valet service was complimentary and quick. Staff was kind and courteous. Indoor and outdoor restrooms available, all clean. Would recommend for an outdoor wedding reception. Indoor pool was in good shape, wished we could have enjoyed it!
1 star for the amazing Salmon dinner. Minus 4 stars because 1) very costly and for extra charges on card. 2) no entertainment 3) the service at the bar wasnt as friendly as the Check in gal & 4) limited with there entrées after ordering a specific entrée was told they were out of that as well as a couple highlighted (recommended) entrees.) But the salmon entrée and sides were absolitly 100% amazing.
Charming doesnt do it justice. Beautiful could be closer to describing it. But the key word I think is alluring. What the Aurora Inn does once you walk into the front door is make you feel as if you do not ever want to leave. Its calls you back before you even check out. The rustic feel of times past is still prominently displayed with its exposed dark wood beams and brick floor. The seating area in the lobby is just perfect. The staircase is highlighted with the authentic charm of a lit fireplace and comfortable yet elegant furniture. The rooms are nicely set up with an old country style, but very modern amenities. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs and a quaint area with microwave and snacks. The staff is very sweet and extremely helpful. Hopefully Mr. Max is there to greet you as well. Hes the cute labrador whos only job is to make you feel better. I cannot recommend staying here more. Oh, and theres a pool!
Friendly service, farm house feel, great food, nice bar. They are in the middle of updating and remodeling, but I opted for the cheaper room, not the updated one, and it was fine. This is an old country Inn for those who are looking for that farm-table experience. Bed was super comfy. Totally worth the internet price. Great option for travelers who want to be a short drive to the airport.
The most incompetent staff I had ever come across in my life! I called, emailed and even went to the hotel to set up a block of rooms for my wedding and they still managed to mishandle and completely ruin everything. Sloan came into the room they gave me as I was about to leave to walk down the aisle and started screaming at me that “this isn’t your room!”Well Sloan, the woman at the front desk gave me the key card, it’s not like I broke in! I cannot even believe how stupid and rude the staff was. They charged me for rooms I was told would be compensated, I was charged for everything and paid, yet treated like garbage. This is a place I used to love and go to all the time. Not anymore. Plus everything is smells like mold and is falling apart.
Ok. Still a long way to go though. Service at the bar and restaurant is slow but the food is decent. Employees are neither enthused nor are they negative. It seems they want to do good but nobody has an answer even on simple stuff. That being said we love to stop at the tavern for drinks and apps. The pool is nice and convenient. One of my daughters went to a party there and the staff was great. So we decided to give swimming lessons a try. DONT waste your time or money go somewhere where more professional. It took a bunch of calls to get it scheduled then nobody showed.Long story short the whole place has charm and promise but is in SERIOUS need of good management.
We used this place pretty soon after they reopened in the summer of 2013 for our rehearsal dinner and wedding block reservations. All in all, we were very happy and satisfied with what we and our guests received for the price. However, we had to work very closely with the staff to ensure we got what we had originally agreed upon. Our general impression was that the place had a lot of potential, and the owners and staff were working slowly but surely to realize it. I hope theyve continued on this path.
We stopped in to the Six Horses Tavern after a day of shopping at Aurora Farms with some friends. I absolutely LOVED the comfy velvet booths, the fireplace and the pub like atmosphere. The menu looked fantastic and everything was very reasonably priced. The majority of people at our table ordered the Cutting Board Burger and it was awesome. Well definitely be stopping by again when were in the area.
The rooms had a beautiful charm to them and the staff were exceptionally kind. The food at the in-house restaurant was good. The only downside I can think of is: make sure you pack a power step for your electronics because its nigh impossible to find a free outlet in your room. This is a great place for hosting an event or a couples weekend get a way .
Have stayed there three times under the new management and I keep coming back- rooms are clean- staff is friendly and providing fabulous costumer service. I cant wait till the new bar and ballroom open. Thank you for bringing back the Aurora to what she is fondly remembered for. Families and friends can gather here once again.
What a lovely surprise. I had to make a sudden trip to Auroa and booked a room here because my parents were already there. After having several less than great hotel experiences in the area in the past this place was a dream! Great rate, tastefully redone, great service, clean, comfortable, nice mix between cozy and modern, and good restaurant. If I ever have to come back to this area I will definitely book again.
Cute and quaint hotel. The staff was friendly and was easy to check in and out. The room was good, I had a king-size bed. It came with a microwave and small refrigerator. There is not a lot of storage space or coat hangers. The bathroom was very small and when using the mirror for hair/make up it was difficult because the door didnt open all the way. The shower water alternated between warm and scolding hot every minute. The restaurants / or kitchens in the area close by 930pm. Coming from out of state with a 3 hour time difference was inconvenient and disappointing to not have choices for a dinner.
I was going to say 3 stars but my comments are going to be nice so I decided to give 4 stars. They had a nice sofa in the bathroom. Very spacious and had nice black and white tiles.Great music; the guitarist named John was amazing.Things to improve include the food and service.-written verbatim from my sister who accompanied me July 14th, 17
Some of the staff were very dry even when spoken to they did not speak back. some of the rooms are quite small with the some of the bathroom designs being just horrible...the counter tops and the toilet are so close together that you are unable to get in front of the mirror to do your hair or makeup. they are also renovating so there was sawdust and stuff everywhere... I understand you are renovating but maybe vacuum every now and then maybe? they allow pets(which would normally be a good thing) but one of them that was allowed bit at my 6 y/o daughter, thankfully it only caught her bathing suit cover-up and was unable to actually break her skin!
Great management and professional and friendy staff that create that perfect getaway even while being just right up the street! Theres always some fun event going on or a great concert on the (massive) patio. Their new drink menu will have you stumbling to your absolutely gorgeous room that was conceptualized by the famous designer Genievieve Gorder! This historic building has overcome the fire and the only thing thing left steaming is those melt In your mouth mussels down in the kitchen, and you In the sauna! Oh yeah, did I mention that they have a giant pool hidden away and you can get a monthly membership to keep coming back for more!l I will definitely be back and I would suggest the Aurora inn you anyone fora venue to host an event, a quick getaway, A tasteful bite, a drink after work or even a quick dip.
While my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Aurora Inn, I did notice a few unsettling observations. As I was checking in, it wasn’t hard to overhear the loud and obnoxious belittling comments made by what I presume to be a housekeeper. It was concerning to hear an employee repeatedly bad mouth coworkers and the hotel itself. I witnessed the same employee cursing loudly at the desk while guests were present. Also I happened to catch a glimpse of her using some type of smoking device at the front desk and in hallways. As often as I saw her at the front desk, she seemed to be a waste of an employee. Only voicing my concerns because if I were management, I would not want an employee like this to be apart of my company. Other than that, I did enjoy the room, the live entertainment and delicious food at The Cutting Board.
Really nice place, has a unique feel to it, came here with friends to get outta town. Enjoyed the pool which was warm. Also has really nice fireplace right by the lobby. Friendly staff. Rooms are very clean nd if I needed anything staff was very helpful. Will stay here again. Definitely worth it.
NOT PET OR FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!!! EVER!!I stayed 3 nights. The only reason I stayed was because it advertised as a pet friendly hotel. I pre-booked with my chase visa. I walked in with my pet ( old west highland white terrier) freshly groomed, non barker, trained, sleeps all day!!, was given a pet door key and all was fine. Until, 10:30 PM on the last night when i received a knock on my door. I was fresh out of shower and not appropriately dressed. the ownerwas upset because he hadnt been informed of my pet!!! He stated that I was lucky he didnt ask me to leave or to move me to another room. but since it was my last night, he would be kind and let us stay. He insisted on up charging me an additional $80.00. He stated I wasnt in a pet room. Owner blamed me, blamed Chase Visa, blamed Expedia. Stated that i shouldnt have booked through the internet and only book direct through his hotel direct, then I wouldnt have been in trouble. I am furious that I was treated so horribly. My daughter was in the room with me and was terrified by such aggression! I am outraged! furious! and a few more words I cant say!!I paid $129,00 per night through Expedia. He also stated if I went direct to him it would have only cost $101,00 And never to book though any site. The hotel advertised a pool- Inspector shut down. ClosedHotel advertised a full restaurant- ClosedOnly a small bar / pub was open. Spent approx. $120.00 first night, about $90.00 second and $50,00 third. My 16 year old ate dinner at the bar at happy hour!!! not family or pet friendly at all.Every time i entered hotel room and went out pet door every key only worked once. Had to get new keys every day. and yes 3 pet keys were given to me!!!I have never heard of a hotel owner coming to a guests room late at night to confront a guest accusing them of basically being a criminal!!!.NOTE: 3 night stay with food : close to $800.00 but im a criminal!!!I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!!! EVER!!!!I will be reporting to the BBB, and letting every travel site, facebook..... aware of how badly I was treated. I am absolutely outraged that I was dragged out of my room at 10:30 PM inappropriately dressed to address this with the owner. I feel humiliated and beyond disrespected.
Fantastic dinner and great drinks. Who knew this gem was tucked away in Aurora? We met friends here for a quick dinner and it turned into a five hour, five star evening. We ended the night with two fingers of scotch and a couple of cigars from their in-house humidor. Steve gave us a tour of the inn and showed us the wonderful transformation it is undergoing. We cant wait to go back!
Very clean.Knowledge/courteous employees. They have decent food there. They also have a bar, pool, and cater events.Decent sized rooms, small TVs though. The rooms have everything you will need in it, also has a old timey type of vibe(atleast to me).The fire place is usually going, the area always clean and warm.Affordable.Overall I will visit again.
So cozy, so cute. The inn was older, sure, but thats part of its charm. Exposed wood beams, lodge-like arches, and stone fireplaces were nice touches. Lighting was wacky, yeah, but exactly who loiters in hotel hallways? I was in love with the bedding and pillows, and the mattresses felt next-to-new. The bathrooms were a little small, but it was easy to see they were being updated. They were definitely functional enough for our needs; it is hard to see anyone objecting to them for this level of accommodation. No smoky odor was present, thank goodness. No bugs, no cobwebs, no mustiness, no weird hairs. We really didnt have a problem with noise, either, despite being centrally located on the second (top) floor AND having a dog on a floor with other dogs coming to and fro during a vacation weekend. Our innkeepers were very sweet and attentive, offering all they could in terms of amenities and assistance. Nina leaped to clean up broken glass when a traveler inadvertently broke a bottle right in the entryway; she was worried that someone might hurt him or herself before maintenance could arrive. Coffee, both decaf and regular, was out for all takers at all hours (good for intrepid walkers). What looked to be a really well-planned Thanksgiving spread was offered, though wed already had plans with family. I didnt avail myself of breakfast, as my goofy husband insisted on trekking to Blob Evans; Nina said it was minimal, but sufficient, with toast and bagels and cereal, and I am guessing that is in keeping with what other visitors have said. Big whoop - the rooms are very comfortable, quiet, temperature-controlled, and bargain-priced, so the cuisine doesnt have to be Michelin rated. Even though the smoke alarms went off at 4:20 in the morning on Thanksgiving, the innkeepers gave us a 10% discount on our stay to compensate us for the hassle and offered late checkout to visitors leaving that day. Nicely handled. Well be back.
Dirty, small old room decor, no HBO and no explanation as to why, crappy, weak wi-fi. The screen was torn completely out of our window, we had no hair dryer but holes in the wall where it used to be, the bathrooms in the pool were very neglected and a also dirty. Pool had no towels and the front desk couldnt explain why and didnt care. I was told it wasnt her area. The Sauna and the hot tub in the pool area were not working. Our bath tub had chips in it. Room service came when NOT requested. Our continental breakfast one morning was a box of donuts. There is nothing new about this place, nothing has been improved, no money being put into it, and it seems to hire kids who are more interested in talking on their cell phone or to ther employees rather than helping a live guest right in front of them. Pay a little more, stay someplace else. STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE.
Jayede and Jessica were wonderful to work with while planning our daughter and son in laws baby shower. They took the time to meet with me many times to be sure all of the details of the event were just what we wanted. Jessica helped us with creating a beautiful curtain that matched the theme of the shower which really tied into the theme of the shower. Jayde and Jessica made sure the rooms were arranged just the way we wanted them. Their staff were exceptional, helping us with setting up for the event and tearing down after. Jayde assisted us with assuring all arrangements for our guests that were using the pool were accommodated. Jayde made sure the menu was exactly what we needed, as several persons in the family as well as guests have food allergies. Jayde communicated with the chef the allergies and made sure the food was prepared appropriately and that all had a great meal. The chefs were awesome, all food on the Brunch Buffet was hot and perfectly prepared. We could not have had a better experience at the Aurora Inn and will always be thankful to all that helped us have a wonderful time and a special day full of beautiful memories.
We recently used the Aurora Inn to host our wedding rehearsal dinner. Honestly, I do not think we could have expected any better service than we got. Jaimie was fantastic to deal with, they delivered on every single thing they said they would, and the food and the service were fantastic, to say the least. We live in Aurora, and we will continue to dine there on occasion. highly recommended!
Stayed here last weekend. The look of the room was Inn like. The website said each room had a microwave and it didnt. We had to take our popcorn through the restaurant to pop in the lobby. Also it said they had a continental breakfast and they did away with that a few months ago. There was no mention of any of this when we checked in. We really werent given any info at time of check in except where the room was located. There really is no reason that I would stay here again.
Booked a night here through Priceline name your own deal. The part was painless, the stay on the other hand less than stellar. The room was fairly clean, furniture was a little dated, but no big deal. Here was the downsides of the room, two lights out, the main light and the bathroom light, no hot water in the sink, room was at the end of the hall next to a door that led to the main part of the inn, constantly heard the door open and close. Decided that this was not going to be the place for me and made the decision to take the loss and go stay at a friends house that I was visiting. Upon telling the night clerk of the problems with the room, I got a grunt and a thank you for staying with us as I stepped out into sub zero temperatures. At least the effort for them to see if they could move me, or an I am sorry that your stay and your room was not up to standards would have been a little nice. I will certainly re-think my options next time when booking a room through Priceline and would not recommend a stay at the Aurora Inn.
For the price, the food was not that great but I can get over that. What bothered me was that it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them and when they came they were severely watered down. My cranberry juice tasted like almost just water. Service wasnt terrible but definitely far from the best it could have been.
Dont stay at the Aurora Inn. I grew up in Aurora and swam at the Aurora Inn when it was the Tredway. I visited for a funeral and was excited to stay at the Aurora Inn. Our stay went well, however, the last day I had some clothing stolen. I realized it once I was driving home. It took 2 months to get anyone to return my many phone messages. I only received a call after I contacted the Aurora Police Department. A detective had to visit to get a response. They promised to send me a check to reimburse the loss... which has been in the mail for months. I would not stay there again. I have no idea how you keep a business going with such poor customer service. Very disappointing!
At the moment, I would not recommend the so called Aquatic Center. The place smells of mold and visible black-colored mold every where. They say there is a whirlpool and saunas, but the whirlpool is closed and the saunas do not work. Not a safe place for the family, especially a family where the two kids are highly allergic to mold. I am trying to get back my $49 I spent from a living social Coupon.Cant comment on the actual Inn.I am happy to say I was able to get a refund from the living social coupon I got. Sad to say it took calling Monday through Thursday and leaving messages for the manager to call me, which they never did call me! Finally on Thursday, when I called, someone just happened to answer that finally took care of the situation!
The food is excellent and the prices are great, however the wait staff is very young and seems not very well-trained. There are always mistakes on our order. The servers are nowhere to be found. We really love the food but its always such a drag to deal with the poor service and bad attitudes from the wait staff that I doubt we will return.
First time at preconcert buffet. Prime rib pepper whiskey sauce. , salmon in a delicious orange vodka sauce, chicken cordon blue, tender juicy BBQ ribs, many other choices less than $19.95 !!!! I dare you to find such quality in Aurora or adjoining cities.Staff is always smiling, wonderful night out. Then we saw Juke Box Heroes a group of Ohio musicians bringing back those juke box hits.If you havent checked out the Aurora Inn, you are missing a diamond hiding in the city of Aurora!!
**UPDATE MARCH 2018 - The Aurora Inn owners (Stephen Mansfield and Dan Bliss) did not respond to the BBB in the regard to the complaint that I filed. I will be pursuing further action in small claims court.Future brides, or anyone holding an event, do NOT book this space for your important day. We held our daughters wedding there on September 23, 2017 and while the venue is gorgeous, the wait staff and the operations team leave much to be desired. We had 150 guests in attendance, and approximately 30% were not able to eat because the venue ran out of food 45 minutes into our reception. Our contract stated we were to have food stations set up for two hours, and they were not prepared. In addition, our contract indicated we were to get Titos vodka and Captain Morgan rum. They ran out of Titos vodka, reisling wine and served our guests watered-down Paramount rum. I purchased 60 dozen pastries for the dessert table; at midnight, I found that there were 20 dozen that were never even put out, even though the dessert table was empty by 10 PM and our guests were starving. They cut the top tier of the wedding cake which was supposed to be saved. Most of the wait staff was rude, not helpful, and unresponsive to guests requests. It was 90° out that day and the venue did not even put pitchers of water on each table. Guess were told they could not have salt and pepper, couldnt have silverware because they werent seated, or couldnt have a pitcher of water. This doesnt even begin to address all of the issues we had. The venue has been continuously unresponsive to my requests for reimbursement and honestly does not care about its clientele once they are paid.
We are very happy that we chose the Aurora Inn as the place to have our grandsons Baptism celebration with our family and friends. Jayde, our event planner, is very personable and was a joy to work with. Our buffet chioces were very delicious and the service was ecellent. The Aurora Inn has a charming quality that makes you feel welcome. We will certainly return for our next event.Chuck and Tina
I had reserved a jacuzzi suite and was emailed three confirmations of my reservation. Upon arriving I was informed that I no longer had the room because it was given to other people. I showed the confirmation from that days email and she stated there was nothing she could do because the people are already in your room. This was all at 1 am in the morning when I was checking in. Of course I was very upset especially after traveling from a 12 hour shift at work. Upon amazement the lady said oh i found you a room. She then stated that i got a great rate on the room, but dont be surprised if they change that tomorrow. So this was already a nightmare. i checked in to my room which was several notches below my college dorm room to find there is no hot water. This was the icing on the cake! The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and mold so i didnt get any sleep and followed up with the supervisor in the morning. the supervisor stated he would adjust the bill with the concerns. From what was discussed at that moment to actual checkout changed at the front desk. I let the front desk help know that was not what the supervisor stated and then up from the side came the printed adjustment of what was agreed. if i hadnt stated anything my gut feeling is that she would of went ahead and credit the wrong amount. By far the worst experience i have ever had and would warn to stay clear of this joint crooked people and far below the avg of a motel truckstop stay.
Went for new years Eve special.299 room open bar and dinner and band 9 until 1am.upon arrival room keys werent working until about 2 hours after check in.the dinner was served ice cold.the open bar was open until about 930 when they started to charge for jack Daniels and Titos vodka.botn of which we were told were on the open bar list.the band started at 920 took a break at exactly 1205 and never came back.all said a very disappointing new years Eve.

2022-04-20Positive: Great location; friendly staff, especially evening Front Desk Manager, and bar/restaurant and room service. Negative: The only con was that my teens wanted to use the pool but too many little ones in there. Would be nice if the pool had an adult/over she 15 swim after 8:00pm

2021-08-06Positive: Clean, Very nice pool, large enough for lap swimming. The night stand on one side of the bed had no lamp to read by and no outlet. Negative: At check-in I was charged an exorbitant $80 pet fee for a 1-night stay- much more than Ive ever had to pay before. The hotel websites list of amenities (including Pet Friendly) only said there may be a fee for some amenities with no amount listed.

2022-04-29They ran out of To-Go Breakfast, but they were nice about it. The room is a little small but clean.

2021-12-18Absolutely adorable place to stay. Completely updated, clean, friendly, trendy, plus delicious food in the restaurant- from the Pablano Hummus to the Delmonico steak, it was all amazing!

2021-08-16Everything was very nice including the staff! I had to stay because my electricity was out, and this ended up being a great choice. I do wish they provided pack n plays for babies so I didn’t have to haul mine from home, but I still loved it!
