We stopped here after my boyfriends graduation from Ashland in May to have a bite to eat with his Mom before heading back to Columbus from Lima. This place was amazing!!!!! We love Thai food and have a favorite place to go in Columbus and I can now say we have a favorite place in Lima. The Dumplings were my favorite thing to eat!!! We will definitely be back.
I was in town for work and was referred to this restaurant by a friend. This is HANDS DOWN the best authentic Thai food I have ever had!Crispy rolls were perfect, and the fried rice with chicken were literally the best I’ve ever had.All food was hot and fresh.Next time I’m in Lima, I’ll be back!
Our waitress cleaned our booth before we say down so thoroughly that she takes her job seriously to battle COVID. The restaurant is in appropriate theme and the food was so good! Apparently I forgot to take photos of their food so you gotta visualize their yummy menu!
Really nice place with a nice atmosphere. The food was very good. Made fresh. The menu was very diverse. Im not an expert on Thai cuisine so I can not explain the menu properly. My suggestion is to look online and view the menu there. What I can say is that everything I ordered was really good and Im hoping for a chance to go back. I went with my son who also enjoyed everything he ordered. Spent roughly 25 per person with appetizers, soup, and main course. But, there were specialty dishes that were on the more expensive side. Starting at around 20.00.
Looks really nice inside an not a long wait. But they have the specialty drinks on all the tables, but if youre sitting in the back room they dont give you any alcohol in the back room you are supposed to get it in the front room but they dont tell you that to you go to order. So why do they have the specialty drink menus on all the tables if they dont serve in the back room. also we never got refills on any of are drinks that we got.
Five star food (seriously so amazing) but three star service. Plating is very thoughtful and the atmosphere is quite nice, but on the Saturday evening my family went to visit, the small wait staff was overwhelmed with tables. Took a long time to get drink refills, ask for dessert and pay the check. Fortunately we were in no hurry and enjoyed each others company enough that we didnt mind the wait.
Amazing food! Flavors are balanced, portions are perfect, prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly, service is paced perfectly. Restaurant is clean inside and out with a cozy feel inside but still plenty of space for larger groups. Big city restaurant in a small town! I will be back often!
Delicious! Dine in or carry out and you will not be disappointed! This is our go to restaurant in Lima for over 10 years! We love bringing out of town guests here as we know they are going to love it. Staff is always friendly and the restaurant is looking great with the recent addition.
There was a wait to get a table and a longer wait to actually get our orders but the food was great and friendly server. The place was clean and fresh looking. We thought the wait was due to kitchen being busy with take out orders. It was a Saturday evening at a rush dinner hour. Take all things into consideration.
Where to begin..... I remember this restaurant from years ago, I always try to eat here when I am able and in town. “Best thai food ever” is what I told everyone. Haven’t been there in awhile due to covid and such so when I got the opportunity yesterday I was over the moon. I ordered my food ahead of time and showed up 30 mins later to get it, here’s where everything went downhill. The wait to even tell anyone that i had a pickup order was another 20 minutes, it was busy but the staff was semi absent, all mostly in the kitchen. When I did get my food and got home I opened my food and delightfully dug in. Much to my dismay the food tasted ALOT different then I remembered. The sauce for the spring rolls was completely different then before and not as good.... the noodles of my pad thai was the same noodles they used before for a different dish and was nothing like the loved pad thai I remembered (to the point I didn’t even finish it) and the rice noodle soup broth I couldn’t even bring myself to digest after one sip. It was horrible to say the least. Today with a very sad heart I am sitting on the toilet where I’ve been most the morning puking and pooping my guts out. I loved this restaurant for so many years but unfortunately after yesterday I will end my 16yr love of this restaurant (yes they have been around that long lol)
My family and I just discovered Thai Jasmine this year, and weve already lost count of the times weve visited. The food is consistently delicious, flavorful, and spicy, just how we like it. The waitresses are always so smiley and friendly, and the service is quick. We used to travel to Dayton for Thai food, but this is closer and have found it to be even better than the Dayton restaurant we frequented. Thai Jasmine does not disappoint!
The interior is clean and welcoming with a rustic wood look to the booth. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the vegetarian Autumn roll appetizer and the Mussman Curry with tofu. The Autumn rolls were very good and the dipping sauce wasnt too sugary. The Mussman curry entree was satisfying and delicious. The tofu was less oily than most places that Ive had tofu substitutes. Id like to try extra sweet potatoes instead of the tofu. And Ill try the dish extra spicy next time! I like to sweat a little, but not cry. All in all, Im really looking forward to eating here again soon!
The food is high quality and great tasting. Just the right mix of spices to excite your pallet. A very nice selection on the menu. The spring rolls are killer.Since it’s BYOB it’s really an inexpensive dinner. I’ve seen just about every beverage imaginable brought in.It does get busy at times and those waiting can make a couple of the tables in close proximity not as desirable but I still have to give it 5 stars.
It was amazing! My first Thai food experience and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was full but we were well taken care of by multiple servers. The food came in a timely manner and was prepared excellent.I would definitely recommend this place for people who both enjoy Thai cuisine or are trying it for the first time.
First time to this restaurant. Very pleased. Interior of the restaurant was up to date...a bit eclectic but clean and cared for... The food was very good... spice on a dish mashed spicy was indeed spicy - just enough to activate the sinuses! The menu is wide and varied with lots of options (thai soups, salad, noodle dishes, curry bowls, etc...) and the quality was excellent... Good find by my associate... after using google maps.
By far the best Asian cuisine in Lima Ohio, and far better than most anywhere. Very clean, friendly, and fast. Best crispy roll you will ever eat, and the stuffed chicken wing entree is unusual and VERY GOOD. I think I have had just about everything on the menu, and I have never had anything that wasnt terrific. This is a cant miss dining experience.
Absolutely the best Thai food Ive had to-date. I cannot wait to go to Thailand... until I do... Ill settle for best I know so far... though I feel as if Ive already been there... the atmosphere here is great! Service is friendly and fast and their dedication to quality food and presentation is superb! This has been a favorite for over 15 years!
I am ashamed. Why I waited so long to finally eat here is beyond me. I had only ever heard great things about Thai Jasmine before I tried it. I would easily rate it a top 10 place to eat in Lima, maybe even top 5. If you even like Chinese a little or if you like spicy food, you will enjoy Thai Jasmine. Not all dishes are spicy so no worries. Come and enjoy.
This is one of Lima’s hidden secrets ! I have been there on many , many occasions and honestly I have never had a bad meal !! The service is always great , and I love the atmosphere . My youngest daughter who now lives out of town , likes to eat here when she is home for a visit . If you like curry , they have some fantastic choices .
Absolutely the best Thai food I have ever had at a restaurant. The flavors were very fresh. The crab Rangoon is how you always dream of it being but only BETTER! The entrees were very colorful, perfectly seasoned and the plate presentation was beautifully done. The dessert was awesome! Plum rice, mangoes and vanilla ice cream with a sweet drizzle! 😗
Great food but the wait..well is a wait. Never given any water. Had to take my own from the bar. Drinks took 20 min. Appetizer never came after 30min. Ended leaving after 1 hr. Unbelievable. Come early if want served. !Went to Bankok Bay and served drinks in 1 minute! Check it out! Great reviews.
The selection of food, the quality of food and the service were all terrific! They have loads of vegan options too, including a great mango and rice desert. I cant wait to go back again and I know from the great things Ive heard about Thai Jasmine that its going to be great every time.
Well worth the drive over from I-75! Dont be put off by the surroundings; the interior is clean and cozy, with quiet Thai music in the background. Delicious food with elegant presentation. There is a sign reminding people that food is prepared as you wait and it might take a little while, but we didnt wait long at all (tho we were there at an off peak time).
Been eating at Jasmine for 7 years. Have tried other Thai restaurants in surrounding areas but Jasmine hands down is the best! Food is amazing! Be sure to try the crispy rolls! Service is always great. Location isnt the greatest but dont worry, Jasmine is worth the visit. They have done some remodeling and did a great job and now have a liquor license! Highly recommend!
I love this place for its fresh and healthy Thai Spring Roll with fresh stuff inside! THE BEST with ground chicken and all fresh-crunchy stuff. I like the sauce on the side which is DIVINE, but when drizzled will soften the wrap which isnt fried either. A VERY healthy small meal choice! Intimate, quaint ethnic restaurant tucked into Lima-I think Thai Jasmine is a WELL KEPT SECRET that NEEDS TO EXPLODE! I LOVE IT!
NEVER EVER EAT HERE!While waiting to pick up my to go order, I watched a cook through the glass in the door separating the bar from kitchen repeatedly lick his finger while preparing crab rangoon. This went on for nearly 3 minutes before I could get a managers/owners attention. All the while there were at least 5 other cooks preparing food that Im sure noticed what I noticed. Apparently this is an acceptable practice at Thai Jasmine.Needless to say I recieved a refund on my meal .
I am a Malaysian and this is the closest food I get to home 😊. It has a variety of food choices with various spice levels. Of course being a Malaysian my food is always extra, extra, extra spicy! Their food quality is amazing, their bamboo shoots are fresh and their ambiance is splendid! Their waitresses are friendly and nice. The keep the place clean. My fiance, mom and i make it a point to visit this place at least once a month. 4 stars because the food can get a little sweet, but nothing a lil extra pepper cannot take care of ;)
Take out Thai fried rice and vegetables with a spring roll and side of crabrangoon. Very tasty but packed with carbs and sugar 🤗 Ill try more later. Called order in and picked up in 20 minutes. Dining room was mostly full and clean, people looked happy, service was efficient, pleasant service, allows coupons from local Taste Tour, and give complimentary breath mints. 😉
My five star rating is based solely on the one meal I always have. I always get the yellow curry with extra chicken crab Rangoons and crispy rolls. If you like a little bit of spicy with plenty of flavor its amazing. Also its really enough for two, somehow I manage to force it down though.
I loved this place for years! We went every Friday but they changed. I was very sad the last few time we went. I dont understand what happend! The rice? Or the seasonings? Both? It wasnt good. I didnt want things to end but we had to break up with Thai Jasmine hopefully they dont keep the changes! 😭
I eat here routinely with friends and family. The building from the outside looks a little suspect. Have no fear, this is one of the best places in Lima. Assuming you like Thai food or spicy foods. The food is always cooked to order and fresh. I recommend Curry Noodles (let them know how spicy) and Crab Rangoon for first timers. Also the sweet tea is bomb in my opinion. Enjoy.
This is a food oasis in a relatively barren gastronomic landscape! The flavors in the dishes are so deep and rich. Whether youre slurping the sweet, spicy coconutty noodles of the bah mi kati soup or simply devouring grimmace proportions of their savory lobster fried rice, every dish is hearty and ultra satisfying. (The Thai tea tastes like liquid caramel.) Well, I could go on and on....but you get the point....JUST GET THERE!!!❤💯
My dining experience tonight was the same as every other time I choose to eat here, the food is authentic and delicious with plenty of options, the atmosphere is very zen and warm and the service is fast and welcoming, I would highly recommend eating at Thai Jasmine.
Changing review per a recent Facebook post as followsSo today for dinner at the fire house we ordered Thai Jasmine. There were 5 meals and an order of 5 egg rolls. We bring it back to the station and start eating our meals. I get into the box of egg rolls and find part of a bug. The bug was under the dipping sauce. (I think its a roach). So of course we stop eating our meals.I take the box of egg rolls with the bug in it back to the restaurant. I walk in quietly with the box and talk to an employee. I show them the bug. He takes the box to the back and returns without the box. A lady from the back comes out and tells me Its not a roach, I will fry you some new ones. I told her no thanks I just want my money back for our meals. She agrees to that and then returns to the back.Another customer comes up to me and asks was there something wrong with your meal. I smiled and said yes but they are taking care of it. He smiles and says ok.The lady from the back returns and says here is a list of your order. You need to bring back all of your food and then we will return your money. Now Im standing there in uniform with a Medic unit right outside of the window. I tell her I really dont want to drive back to the fire house, package up 5 meals that were put on plates and then drive back just so you can make it right. We already had to return once because they forgot a meal the first time. So I have been there a total of 3 times already. She says thats just our policy. So now Im mad.I was trying not to cause a problem for Thai Jasmine. I understand things happen. Just make it right. Sometimes people just dont want to make it right. Instead I had to jump through hoops. So I turn to the gentleman that inquired about our meal. He was waiting patiently for his meal that he hadnt paid for yet. So I let him know we were returning our food because there was a bug in our box. Thats when one of the employees got mad at me.Sorry Hun I tried.I just dont understand customer service sometimes.
I had tom kha soup, pad thai, and mango rice dessert. All of them come out a little different than traditional but not for better. Tom kha soup had broccoli filled to the top that ruined the taste. The sauce for pad thai was off. Mango rice had strawberry syrup instead of coconut milk. Disappointing.
This is a copy and paste from another review. Im doing the copy and paste, because the following review was spot on and I couldnt have worded it any better myself. If judged by outwardly appearance and location one would wonder how could a resteraunt like this stay in business? After all its nestled in-between two residences, bars on the windows (yes bars), in a questionable neighborhood. Answer: Good Food. Actually that all might work in its favor by unconsciously lowering your expectations. Expectations actually start to change before the food. The quaint interior, ethnic and warm, provides a very intimate and personal feel. Once the menu is opened the indecision from having to choose from a plethora of unique and enigmatic dishes is the real challenge here. Upon waiting I always feel as if I stumbled upon some well kept secret that hasnt quite got out yet. Its always busy but there is never a wait. The food is presented beautifully with most dishes coming garnished whth ribboned carrrot and raddish. If your naive to Thai food you quickly realize that most dishes come with a varying yet noticable degree of kick. Some very Hot. And after the meal they perpare the most delicious desert Ive ever eaten. Ill leave that a surprise so be sure to leave room. As if this wasnt enough to go on get this. They dont serve alcohol....but you can bring your own! No joke Ive seen people bring in fine wine and even coolers full of beer. Lima is famous for its Kewpees it should also be known for Thai Jasmine.

2022-06-08A great Thai restaurant hidden in a small town! The vegetarian options were welcoming. The fresh spring roll portion size was a little disappointing, but the flavor was great! Highly recommend the Pad Ka Pow, beware tho it is Spaiccyy. We also got some noodles, we have preferred to omit the egg. We got tofu for all the dishes. A note if you are a total of her like us, tofu will come fried.

2022-01-24Awesome night out with the Fam. Service was a bit slow (we were a party of 7) but it gave us plenty of time to talk. Great food too.

2022-07-16Had to stop for dinner on our way to Toronto. Randomly picked a spot and turned out to be a winner! Excellent food. Beautiful ambience. Frog legs, green curry, pad Thai and fried rice. Portions are a good size!

2022-06-09This is our favorite restaurant by far. There may be a wait, but that is because it is the best in the area. It’s also completely fresh and made to order, and beautifully presented. We are happy to support a family owned business and so thankful it is in our area. Even if it wasn’t in our area though, we would still make the drive lol.
