I have seen a transition in the last year. I am so impressed with all of the changes. My hall is brand new! The soccer field, our kids play there every day, practicing. The new side walks are a huge improvement and all of the new hand rails on the steps. I have been working from home, and have watched for months, all of the work being done. Great job, and I am so happy someone bought it and wants to make all of these improvements.
JoHanna Was absolutely wonderful!!! She made us feel right at home!! She was wonderful with interacting with our 3 year old daughter! It really tickled me pink!Unfortunately, Ten 31 does have a weight restriction on Dogs! (it’s 50lbs and under) which we were concerned about, since our fur baby is on the larger side for a medium dog. We double checked our dogs weight by looking at recent vet records. He 65 pounds.Even though we won’t make the cut. We wanted to share our experience!! The apartments are BEAUTIFUL!!! Very Quaint and perfect for minimalistic style living! They are currently hosting lots of COVID safe community events to develop connection in a safe way!We highly recommend the apartments for anyone who will qualify! We wish Ten 31 the best of luck and we will be referring friends their way who are looking into moving into the area!
I remember this community before the new ownership, I must say WOW! This place is so beautiful now, There are so many great changes. I would not have thought about living here a few years ago but now I have recently applied for an apartment. This is a place I can be proud to call home.
I am so happy with the new management. Its so nice to have staff that wants to create a positive environment. They have been working...my hall got a new mailbox, tree limbs that have been apart of the landscape have been removed, all the trash that had been floating around is gone. I go into the office and greeted with smiles and helpful staff. I cant wait to see when the weather gets nice and what else they are going to do. Anything will be an improvement from the previous.
OMG! I am impressed and very happy with our new management and maintenance.Jo Hannah’s (Mgr) attitude alone is a worth living here. She is always upbeat and smiling & makes a person glad they came to the office.I sent in a maintenance request on-line this morning - two maintenance men (Dustin & Sergio) arrived at my apt. a little after 11 a.m. on the same day! Dustin did a great job repairing my heater & installed a new filter. Sergio noticed my thermostat was old-old - he installed a new digital one. I think my electric bill might go down now. When Jared was filling in at the front desk early on - he followed up with phone calls - unheard of at most apt. Complexes. I can’t say enough about the new management & maintenance. Thank you!
I love this place, it’s in a great location. It’s right by the highway, and a bunch of restaurants and bars are minutes away. The grounds are well kept since new management has taken over.I’ve noticed recently they been doing a lot of new much needed construction around the property. I walked in one of the common hallways because I was being nosey and it was beautiful! I also saw right by the office they are building a dog park. If you look on their Facebook page the newly renovated apartments are Insanely cool looking. Check it out.I’d definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for an apartment in a great location. I can tell there are many great things to come here.
I am so happy the new owners/ Management took care of the leaks that had been my nightmare for about a year now. The past didnt help me other than some band aids. Once I told them of my problems, got it taken care of, got a plumber here and next week my drywall work will be started. I am so relieved that they took care of this!!! They have done a nice job in a short period of time. I am curious what will they do next...cant wait to see!!
They have done alot. Beyond all of the renovations and improvements. They have been doing resident events. They did a reverse trick or treat, and passed out candy door to door. How fun! They also had a food truck and kona ice trucks at no cost to the residents. I thought those events were very nice and above and beyond.
The office staff is amazing, they have been so kind and attentive. They stick to their word, when they say something, they follow through...that is so hard to find these days. I’m loving the updates! Everything is so fresh, modern and clean...I was very impressed. You can’t go wrong picking Governours Square Apartments. ♥️♥️
So nice all of the events the staff does and has planned. The previous management did not do events. Even through covid, this management has done fun things like a food truck!! They took care of the tab!! They had Kona Ice, and took care of the tab also. Stuff like that, I havent heard of happening anywhere else..
They have been working diligently to clean our community and so far, have done a lot in a little bit of time. I cant wait to see what else they plan on improving!! Out with the old and in with the new. I have seen workers clean up the landscape, and work on gutters, large equipment moving about. Workers everywhere!!
I am looking for an apartment at a bad time, and spoke with the sweetest, most excited person yet. As she was sharing information about the unit, I could hear her enthusiasm and genuine excitement about the apartment. I am going to apply, site unseen. Cant wait to move in!!
Maintenance won’t fix my back door. I have called the office and talked to the rude staff at leasing already. They would like to raise rent by 70 dollars when they can’t even maintain the property properly. They said the Back doors don’t always come with locks. That’s a safety concern.
Did an application online today using the Towne Properties portal for a 2 bedroom. The price on the application and the website said the apartment was $530 a month. When I went to my scheduled 3:00 pm showing I was told that the new owners, Towne Properties, have raised the rent to over $800 per month. They are supposedly going to refund my $50 application fee but am not feeling too hopeful I’ll get it back. If your looking for a company that plays the bait and switch game and will not honor their own websites listed price then Governors Square is The place for you! For existing residents, prepare to get sticker shocked with your new and improved rent increase.
We moved into this community a year ago, overall our experience has been very good, every-time we have needed something, for the most part they are on top of it, however from the time we signed our lease to current day, we have reached out regarding our patio, not only was it poorly built, the wood is splitting, nails are poking out and the railing isn’t even connected to the building, we were told they would be reaching out to a contractor to come take a look at it, however we never heard back, along with the issue of our deck, when we moved in we were told that they had to “rush” things and one of our cabinets were not delivered, so they temporarily put in a non-matching cabinet and were told it would be a few weeks before they could get the correct cabinet, and switch them out, however we have yet to hear more, also in our bathroom, the wood paneling in our sink has broke 2-3 times, each time we have repaired it ourselves however it’s frustrating seeing how poorly this place was put together, not to mention we have personally had to replace the light bulb outside of the building because it went unacknowledged that it had been out, it has since gone out again and we refuse to use our own light bulbs to keep replacing it, and on top of all that, there is a “fire” box located at the bottom of the steps by the front building door that has broken glass that has yet to be fixed (another thing we mentioned when we moved in a year ago) - the pool is amazing however the demolition of the children’s pool is devastating due a lot of young children in the community who won’t be able to utilize a pool more suitable for their age, and what hurt most of all, is the astronomical amount our rent has been raised going into our new lease, and I understand improvements have been made to our community, less trash, foliage clean up, etc. however I feel the happiness of current residence isn’t a priority - our rent up almost 100 dollars and then when it came time to sign our lease they tried to increase the rent more than originally quoted, and luckily they agreed to honor the original lease renewal price, non the less it was unprofessional. We want to continue to stay in this community because we do love it here, but there are still some serious improvements that do need to made for current residences, as our “reviews” help impact future residence decision to move into this community, because If we are expected to pay what new tenants would pay for a “renovated” apartment, I would expect ours to be updated as well, and would be more than okay with renovation in my current unit.
Called the emergency maintenance number because a pipe was full on leaking from the neighbors bathtub from upstairs into my shower. I left three messages at 6PM02/13/2020 when the leak started and nobody got back to me . I then called 02/14/2020 at 8AM and spoke to someone but nobody has even bothered to come out and fix the issue. About one week ago I had called for a leaking pipe in the kitchen it took two phone calls and almost three hours for someone to actually come out and “fix it”.
This place has done some serious overhauling in a short period of time. I have seen things done since the new Management took over, that I have not seen ever done else where. They dont just paint over and call it renovated, they actually gut it and replace all. No joking around!

2022-04-27How about we fix the actual issues in the apartments instead of ignoring work orders and remodeling a clubhouse and building a whole pool which was barely even used last year . People are living in unsafe conditions and it’s going unnoticed ON PURPOSE because management refuses to care . If you aren’t going to fix the minor issues people have been having for MONTHS (yes MONTHS) why charge $1000+ FOR A ONE BEDROOM , and $1400+ for a 2 BEDROOM . A rip off and a scam this complex is

2021-07-30Stopped by the other day to check out the three bed room as well as the townhouses, was very happy with what I saw, and how I felt. The interior was decorated from someone who knows what they’re doing! I was being helped by a beautiful landlady, Christina, she was very helpful and had an answer to my every question! The pool was big enough for the whole family, AND they have a lifeguard! The yards looked amazing and the area is just so convienient!

2021-10-29I love this new and amazing look. Its a great location and so convenient for my family. The team there is always ready to help they truly go above and beyond to look after there residents. I would tell anyone I know thats trying to relocate or just have a new start to check there first.

2021-08-09Just moved in and I already feel like I’m going to love it here, all new appliances and fully renovated countertops and floors. New balcony coming soon. Neighbors seem friendly, and I can barely hear any noise through the walls (hopefully nobody is hearing me!) Only had a slight miscommunication at move-in but the team was quick to respond and fix the issues at hand without any trouble. Amanda and Christina In the leasing office go above and beyond so props to them both!

2021-01-29I have had so much fun decorating my new home. The colors flow well and match with anything I have. Of course, I have had fun buying some new items. The staff was nice, so nice, that when my bed arrived early, before my move in, they helped store it and then move it over on my day. They have been so nice in accommodating my needs and wants. Love it!!

2021-12-16I used to live here when it was Governor Square and I love the changes the new management is making to the property. The kitchen updates are my favorite, beautiful and spacious 💞
