This was catered to our office for lunch today. Horrible quality food. The shredded cheese for the chili cheese dogs had melted in the tiny Togo cup and reformed into a block and you couldnt use. The Mac N cheese was dry and crusty. It fell out the cup in a hard ball, not the creamy Mac n cheese they advertise. The pretzel bun to the hot dog was stale. The cookies had use by dates of 4/1, that was last Friday. Why serve old cookies? Will not recommend.
Every once in a awhile I get a taste for a good hot dog. Tasty Dawg never disappoints. From the pretzel bun to the fresh toppings its always a win. What makes it even better is that there are very few hotdogs that I can eat that dont make me sick. Tasty Dawn hot dogs are high quality and taste great. Ill always patronize this business when looking for a gourmet hot dog.
Tried it for the first time and was very impressed. The hot dogs were great quality and the pretzel bun was perfect. The white cheddar Mac n’ cheese was very tasty. Also, the owner was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!
Just finished my food here and had to jump on and give them a great review. The hot dogs are indeed tasty (I recommend the pretzel bun) but it was really how friendly the staff was that brought me here. Super welcoming and helpful. Tasty food, kind service. Ill be back for sure.
Not so tasty. Walked in and the girl at the counter immediately asked me to put on a mask (not required where I live, or places I frequent, so sorry). No problem. Ordered the South of the Border Dawg, with no avacado. I asked the girl which side she thought was better-the old bay tots or white cheddar mac. Was met with an awkward blank stare. Finally, the older lady (very nice) working register said the mac, so I went with that. You can see in the photo what I got. I went back up to the counter to the original girl to say wasnt I supposed to get all of the listed stuff on the dog? She seemed to be ignoring me-had to say excuse me several times loudly until the older lady came from the back. They remade my order, but still no shredded lettuce, a scant few leafs of cilantro, and NOT crema sauce-a large amount of plain sour cream. Girl who I assume is the manger also added a double chocolate cookie. Nice, I thought; until I tried to eat it with my coffee this morning. It is a hard hockey puck. Threw it away after one nearly tooth breaking bite. Bottom line: unless they get some better customer service and menu live up to what is advertised, dont bother.
Staff is nice so they get stars, but the food was just not good. Two bites and threw it away. The hot dog was raw, the bacon was raw, just not a good first experience. 😕
Hands down the best chili dog 🌭 I’ve ever had. The lady that helped us was very nice and gave us the rundown on the menu. I can’t wait to be back to try another signature dog. They have earned my recommendation to everyone I know.
Me and my wife were just in downtown saw this place first and stopped in for a bite. Glad we did. Great dogs and awesome staff.
After walking around Columbus looking for anywhere to eat, I walked past here into a burger shop, but I decided I did t want to wait and walked back into tasty dawg. The men at the counter were super kind and social, and made our order super quickly. My mom decided my meal looked so good that she ordered her own. I got a very tasty meal for a very good price
The staff here are so nice! They did a great job of sharing a lot of different menu options. The food was great! We had a Chicago dog and an Italian beef sandwich along with Tater Tots. They even put a side of au jus and some Fresh Wipes and a peppermint in a separate box for us. Very thoughtful! We will go back!
Awesome first experience at this new hot dog joint in downtown Columbus! The GM, Mark, was super friendly and helpful. The jumbo all beef hot dogs were delicious and the ingredients on them were fresh. Will definitely be back!

Friendly staff. I had the loaded tots and a scoop of butter pecan Velvet Ice Cream. I will definitely go back for the other flavors of ice cream. I dont eat hot dogs, but they had multiple options for toppings if thats your thing.
We grabbed an early dinner here. Had a Chicago dog and an All American dog. We had a side of tator tots and a side of kettle brand with them. The dogs were quite tasty and the beans were very good. The tator tots were good, but we would probably just get two dudes of brand next time.The staff was very friendly and service was quick.Next time we will probably try their sausage upgrade option and the Italian beef sandwich.They also have various Velvet Ice cream flavors. Next time we will likely get a scoop or two for dessert.Will definitely be back.
Tasty Dawg is one of the few places in Columbus that has vegetarian fare on their menu along with meated. Their food and service is phenomenal. The place is impeccably clean. The food is always hot and fresh. I have never had bad food or bad service there. I say if you’re hungry they are the place to go.
Awesome vibe in this little joint. Food was VERY flavorful - for me, better than Dirty Franks, even! Loaded tots were great, and the Chicago dawg was out of this world. Wish I had another one now.

Stumbled on this spot today roaming around the city and this place was like a desert oasis..A/C and ice water on a hot day, a clean restroom in the middle of a city, and the best veggie dog I think I’ve ever had. The woman working was a sweetheart and very kind..I’ll see y’all next time I’m in the city

We had a really great experience! The staff were all very nice and the menu choices were awesome! We tried the Italian Beef, the Southern, the Hawaiian, and the South of the Border w/Italian Sausage. We also shared an order of Loaded Tots. The food came out hot and everyone loved their food!!! The flavors were all so good!!! I highly recommend you check this place out, we will definitely be back!Suggestion: A variation of the Hawaiian but with chili on it too??? 😀
Hey, the only reason I didnt award 5 stars is that when I picked up my call-in order, it had obviously been sitting for at least 3 or 4 minutes (and I was actually about 3 minutes early), so my food had cooled considerably, especially the tots. But other than that, I was greatly impressed by the selection and taste overall. You guys need to open more stores!
The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! We each got a signature hot dog and tried each of the sides. Everything was great!! We loved it so much we even got a hot dog and an italian beef to take home! We will be back for more and to try some of the Velvet ice cream! Quick, delicious and a wonderful value.
First time here and trying to give some support too. Ate 2 South of the border, although I can say I would recommend these to be heated up again once the toppings are added, otherwise it loses taste being a cold hot dog with all of these ingredients. In the flip side, I’m not a native English speaker, but I KNOW I can communicate good enough with others. Cashier here seems to not to tolerate accents, acting as if I was speaking Russian or something like that and she was not very nice. I was close to change my mind while ordering the second Hot dog because of this.
Very new location but the people were so friendly and amazing. The food was INCREDIBLE. I love their pretzel bun. I got the spicy dog and wasn’t too spicy at all. The combination of the crispy onions and sriracha Mayo was amazing. The prices are also too good to be true. Definitely coming here again and you should too!

I’m honestly surprised at the negative reviews, try this place for yourself, you won’t regret it! I would definitely eat here again!
Great environment and helpful staff. The combination of toppings were not good against the plant based brat. (They do have beef hot dogs and brats). The tots were not fresh enough to eat totally. I went for lunch, but the taste of everything was not good. Tip: when you go, fix your hotdog the same way you would at home or a cookout.
First time trying and wanted to show our support. The dawgs were delicious! Pretzel bun and all-beef dogs are a superb combo. Unfortunately the tots were not good. Overcooked to the point of disintegrating when you bite them. -1 star for bad tots

Ive gotten these DAWGS a few times from when they were online only at Zoup and now from the high St. location. The hot dogs are very good! 5 out of 5 hot dogs. They have this delicious pretzel bun and all the toppings are good. However, Id skip the tater tots unless you can get them right when they are coming out of the little oven.
Both times my experience with Tasty Dawgs the customer service was excellent & the food was very good..first visit one of the staff members he was taking out the trash he took the time to explain the menu & give me his observation on Tasty Dawgs.. Both time I had the chili 🌶 cheese 🧀 dogs with the white Mac & cheese 🧀 it was very good the cookies are delicious… I do love ❤️ hotdogs & good customer service. I do recommend this restaurant for those who like good variety of food & excellent customer service… I will be back!!!
Wanted to try...not great. I had the Island Dog...it was COLD, the dressings were good. Interesting flavor....but cold. The tots under a hot lamp is totally uninviting....stuffed into a Styrofoam container was a terrible way to serve them. The mac and cheese was good, but nothing special and again STUFFED into a small Styrofoam container...it all felt cold, like a cafeteria.Certainly not the best dog in town.

Had high hopes for my first experience here but 1) Tried ordering on website on two separate devices with wifi and 4G- site won’t load. 2) Tried calling twice- computerized answering machine that went to voicemail. No hours of operation, no other options to select from. :(

I’ll try anything once, I live downtown next to Tasty Dawg. I was starving and could barely finish my ketchup and potato chip monstrosity “the spicy dawg”. For those familiar with high end hotdog trucks in Seattle or Chicago this isn’t that.The hotdogs to go are wrapped in this weird foil that sticks to it and ends up being a total mess. What’s weird is that for me a hotdog is supposed to be a quick to go item at most served in a little box or wrapped in tin foil. There was a lot of waste with the one hotdog I got which kinda sucked, they treated it like a to go dinner from a Thai restaurant instead of a 4$ hotdog.
Everything Ive ever had from here has been delicious, I especially recommend the baked beans and Mac and cheese sides. Definitely worth the stop if youre in town! Very friendly staff as well

First off i dont think anyone in Ohio can pull off a Chicago dog i should know born and raised ..tried this place for the first time after getting my nails done And decided 2 try the Chicago dog i asked for everything no sport pprs and the girl behind the counter got it wrong it was missing the main ingredient MUSTARD!!!!OMG she had to remake it also missing celery salt the other important ingredients uhhhh bun was cold and it fell apart..so dissapointed....tots tasted soggy no salt also hot dogs were not steamed rather sitting on a gas station roller machine OHhh hell noo i will not be returning any time at all!!! sorry guys

Purchased loaded tots. They were good however you should eat them when theyre hot. The service was alright for downtown traffic. I would walk in instead of ordering. Overall, good spot and nice friendly staff.
First time there. Great staff. Good beef hotdogs 🌭. I ordered a couple of hotdogs, tater tots, soda, and chips. Enough for lunch and dinner. Ill come back when Im downtown again. Right next to the CVS. In the spot were Subway was.

Ordered 3 dawgs for carry out. Showed up exactly when the email said they would be ready and everything was cold. Also ordered the triangle tater tot. It was also cold. Had such high hopes for a good gourmet dog. Ordered a soda as well and it was warmer than the hot dog.
Been here twice was asked what I ordered 4 times this first time and both times they brought out the wrong items. I really dont get what the issue is with ordering. Dogs arent bad tots are mushy.Wasnt expecting a response from the owner I appreciate the transparency and will come by again thank you.

They have tasty Beef Hotdogs. They have pork products on the menu like brats and bacon, but they keep it away from the other food products unless someone orders them. However, the buns can get really soggy/wet when liquid ingredients are put on hotdogs. Order those liquid ingredients on the side or omit them if you like. Anyways, food is delicious

First timer here and I was blown away!!! Chicago Italian beef was amazing, comes with au jus but you dont need it because the beef was so juicy and flavorful!!! Mac and cheese is too legit to quit even if you are full from the amazing sandwich!!! I will be back!!!

2022-02-16The staff here is so sweet and treat you so well, the food is also really good. We ordered a made to order hot dog and a chili cheese hot dog. These are such simple foods but you can tell theyre made with a lot of care. The hot dogs have a really good bite to them and the pretzel bun really helps to hold all other toppings and ensure the bottom doesnt become soggy. Highly recommend! Cheap eats done well!

2022-05-26Good experience. Food came out faster than it took for me to decide on it! There are good options and the food matches the price. I wasnt a huge fan of the green food colored relish. The flavor was good but was visually unappealing. The staff is super nice and patient but the cashier did cough into their hand then started prepping my order in a bag; pretty off-putting. Potentially will be back again.

We had the Chicago Italian beef, Chicago style Dawg and my boyfriend says it tastes just like home! He needed this being homesick recently. Thank you for opening! Also, around the corner from Scioto mile and the perfect stop for ice cream! We suggest the banana cream pudding it is amazing from velvet brand 🍦Yes, you my use my photos for Social Media!

2021-11-16Got the Island BBQ Dawg. It was tasty and filling! Staff was super friendly. Love the attention to detail, like having a wet nap in the box and the dog wrapped up so the toppings arent all over the place. WILL be going back soon to try another. Spicy Dawg looks good!

2022-05-24Decided to take a chance on Tasty Dawg last night and was not disappointed. My three sons and I each got a different dog and loved them. My chili dog with the pretzel bun was delicious. Among us, we also had three different sides (slaw, Vermont cheddar cheese mac, and tater tots) which were also delicious. Yummy!Side-note: While the dining space is very basic, it was very clean. And so was the restroom.

2022-06-08It was raining downtown and they offered us some poncho’s!! They have awesome ice cream and the loaded tarot torts were to DIE FOR! Amazing customer service and food. Makes it feel like you’re in your own home :).

2022-06-03Amazing service! We came here before seeing a show at the Ohio Theater as it is right across the street. The man who took our order (we are guessing maybe the owner) was very friendly and nice. Food was quick and fresh, so many options of toppings for hot dogs. We had the spicy dog and the South of The Border dog and they were great! I recommend this if you’re looking for a quick bite in Columbus!

The hot dog quality was exceptional and so flavorful. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. Even the fountain Coke was perfect. IIll definitely be back
