Rude staff. Manager has no clue to run a business.. Manager was rude also. Place is run down. Old computers, and equipment.. extremely long wait times.. I suggest CSL, they are professional, trusting, and welcoming.. CSL has a good system down so that you are in and out asap..
Lately the wait has been much shorter, which is much appreciated. Perhaps there is finally enough staff. I nearly switched to another donation center because this place was chronically behind schedule, sometimes up to an hour past your appointment time. So I commend this center for whatever they did to get enough staff and presumably streamline the process. I advocate donating plasma, and have recommended it to many people. Youre helping a lot of people with your donation, and if you appreciate extra money theres that too.I think a sign with the rules on it for the donation area would be good, because the last few times Ive been there Ive had to listen to someone elses phone. Use headphones, guy! Staff should enforce this.
They go out of their way to make you feel like family but the appointment times are not fallowed kinda like a doctors office appointment log but i expect that there always under staffed
Have tried calling the company multiple times at multiple times never get an answer. Was curious about the new donor pay outs and refuse to go out of my way to drive there for ONE simple question. Are the phone lines ALWAYS not working??
I went in a skeptic. Figured this was gonna be a rough and rude ride. It was just the opposite. Staff was friendly and helpful for my first visit. They answered every question i had. The phlebotomist went out of her way to make me comfortable and explain the process and even adapted the settings to make it a less rough on my body since it was my first go. Unfortunately my body gave out at the end and i felt extremely nauseous. As soon as i called for help they came immediately (i did not eat and drink enough close to donation time). I ended up passing out and woke with several nurses standing over me very attentive. The one checked my vitals several times and gave me food and water. She refused to let me leave until SHE felt i was comfortable and the staff called me the next day to see how i was doing. Im very reassured after my first visit that they truly care about the people coming in and out of the doors. My ONLY complaint (why i give this 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the initial visit takes a very long time (mine more so because a trainee checked me in) so i feel they should offer some snacks and water for first time visitors so noone else goes through what I did. First visit is very rough on the body and you have to be extra hydrated and fed beforehand.
Theyve changed over the past couple of years. Grifols changed their procedures for donors such as must make an appointment (which doesnt make the donation or wait for the donation shorter). You must answer questions on a kiosk which just adds to the legthy process. The Staff is slower processing donor information. If you have a time schedule to follow dont donate, you will miss it or be late. The donor VIP pass doesnt get you through any faster. Today i walked in an the front desk attendant took a 30 min finding my folder, then stuck it on the bottom of the stack of donors folders that is waiting to be called to donate.The Staff isnt always the friendliest. I dread donations now.
Wait a year after you do anything medically before going here. They double the standard waiting times for EVERYTHING, so just be safe and wait a year because they will make you wait 4hours and meet with 3 people before they tell you that you cant donate.I am updating this because I came back a few times w/ a relative who decided to go. Of the 5 total times Ive come here, I was deferred 3 of them.... Im not coming back anytime soon at all.
I was a first patient for donating plasma and I went here. They were very understanding all they needed was my ID and a SCC. I wont lie it does take a bit of time to get in but I dont mind it at all. The employees here make conversation with you. They make you go through several test and that is the reason why it takes a few hours also they only have limited staff. Just keep in mind you are helping people that need it and on top of it they are paying you for it. I think it was all worth it and great way to earn some extra cash!
Always running behind. ALWAYS. I dont understand how this issue hasnt been solved in over a year. I dont want excuses, just get people called up to kiosks at OR BEFORE their appointment time. Maybe hang a TV monitor so we can see people are being taken in the correct order, because it never seems like those with appointments who have checked their name on the clipboard are actually taken before the walk-ins. Also - in the donation bed area, some of the staff does nothing but gossip loudly. Look - donating is not fun. Please be quiet and respectful as were not laying there wanting to hear you yell back and forth at each other, or joke loudly with the regulars.This is not the name I donate under, for obvious reasons.
Everytime I try and donate they dont know how to take blood pressures and the front always wants to talk and talk amongst each other but seemed bothered when you interrupt them.. Yeah not professional at all.. I guess everyone needs a job I get that but not everyone knows what theyre doing...
This place is something else. The staff who stick you are pretty much friendly. But the front desk -_- They have a habit of skipping over you and making you 1.5 to 2hrs late for your appointments. And when you try asking they get smart and rude. If it wasnt for gas for school I wouldnt ever come back! Might not after the treatment I got this morning.
Came here today. My fiance was denied for something no other donation center had a problem with. Her molars are larger then normal. So when her mouth is closed she gets discomfort. So she wrote on the paperwork that she uses orajel. They said she couldnt donate if she has an infection. She doesnt have one. Then as we sit here waiting for my processes to finish the staff stand around talking while the line builds up. Not to mention the worker with her hand in the neck of her shirt scratching her armpit and breast. Right behind the front desk. This facility is needs new management to keep that front desk from forgetting their at work. Their not giving us a hand out, so they shouldnt be able to deny somebody over a personal fear by the secretary. Trust us, we wouldnt donate if we thought something was wrong.
I try to keep my reviews updated so here we go. I give them a one star again because of long wait times and tons of employees just standing around for long periods of time. I feel like they are standing around doing nothing they can jump in somewhere and help speed the process up. Really considering either being done altogether or switching to a different place.
Absolutely horrible . Dont even bother making an appointment . They never get you in on time . I came as a new doner , came super early because I expected it to take 3-4 hours . Boy was I wrong . I brought my Id and ssn but they had to prove my name change , even though my Ssn and ID matched. But they informed me of this after I was waiting 45 minutes . Then I drive all they way to my work to get the marriage cirtidificate and waiting another half hour . Then they informed me they had shredded the paperwork I had just done 15 minutes prior to getting my marriage cirtificate and had to do it all over , finally after 2 1/2 hours I finally got started . Had to take a half day off work because they were so slow . And these are the most unorganized people I have ever seen in my life .
The nastiest people. Very unclean. Very unsanitary. Pizza and rolls covered with flies. I swear flies flowing some employees around. Ewwwww. This place is gross. Blood on the floor when I got there. If u want bedbugs or roaches to follow youse home. Hang in the lobby for 10 minutes. That will dew it.
I am always treated with incredible care and patience. The staff is caring and kind. Thank you for always making me smile!
I wont be back . I was literally two minutes late one time and they said I needed to reschedule. Most of my appointments I sat in the lobby at least 45 minutes before I even got assessed. So If you like being treated like a loser- treat yourself to this experience.
Well here we go again. Take time outta my day to come here and make an appointment fo the next day. (B/C, they wont make appointments over the phone.) Thanks for the waste of gas by the way.And when you show up ON TIME for it you still have to wait over 45 min to be called back if not more. And the whole time your sitting there waiting your watching the employee behind the counter. talking on there cell phones about what time they get off and what their going to do when they get off.Hello!! People i made an appointment for a reason!!! I have a life too. After working alll day i dont want to be here all evening. This is why i stopped coming in the first place. They are nice people. But they seem to hate their job. And they don’t listen when you say ow that hurts. They’ll have 4 people try to get your vein and poke around without any regards to hurting you even though they were forwarned your left is the bad arm. I had a giant bruise for days after. They do stand around and gossip a lot instead of continually checking on their patients. I wouldn’t go back and would not recommend this place at all.
My fiance makes an appointment then they make him wait 30 minutes or more before he even gets his finger poked and everything. Nope he will not be going back to this place till they start taking appointments seriously.
Its wonderful to donate to help save lives. Its also a good way to make a few extra bucks. The customer service is really hit or miss. A lot of the people are very nice here but there are a few that have horrible attitudes (almost like the are doing you a favor by being there). But all of that can be looked past to help save a life!!
Usually a great place with great pay but lately the wait time has been ridiculous, waiting around 30 to 45 minutes passed my appointment time every time I donate, sometimes up to two hours. This place has gone down hill.
Called them at 4:10pm about starting to come to them rather than the Akron location because it is on my way home from work. The person I spoke with gave about 5 different reasons why I shouldn’t come to there center ranging from wait time to donor fee’s. Needless to say CSL got my business.
One really bad apple at the front desk is all it took for me.I gave it 5 maybe 6 donations, so not saying this out of haste.I just can not stand to look at unhappy workers anymore.
Theres two friends of mine thats HIV Positive, and there Taking Lots Medication for there Positive Status, i called this Plasma Center And gave them both there names and this Plasma Center has still let them Donate Plasma for the Last 8 Months, theres no way i believe they cleaned those Machines.
Ive been going there for a year now, all the staff are very polite, and great at sticking you with the needle with little too no pain!They have made my experience there very educational and profitable!!Thanks everyone!!
Dedicated Donor.....was anyways.! Drive over 1 Hour one way to my appointment at 10:45am to finally be called up at almost 11:45am to be informed that Im not going to be Donating. Devastating.!! No Thank you.
Terrible place. They arnt concerned about you as a person. I just donated there all year failed a test, Im deferred on my donate day, and they couldnt check my blood that day so I have to make another trip, and after that trip I have to wait a week.
Need to eliminate that VIP system. Whats the point of scheduling appointments when they just let as many as they want cut in front of you.

Okay so I went here in 2014 to attempt to donate the lady behind the counter put my social in there system wrong I tried then to get them to change my social in there data base they never changed it here it is 2017 an im still waiting for them to change my social in there system I have called talecris them selfs an there corporate office everyday for almost a month now I keep getting told some one from higher management will call me back to get the correct social in the system.. I dont understand how they put my social in the data base wrong in the first place since they make a copy of your social security card and your ID you also have to put your social security number of several papers for them. They goof off way to much behind the counter and do not pay attention to what they are doing .. my boyfriend went in the one day stood in line for about 5 minutes his appointment was at 2:00pm he got to the counter they said he was two minutes late an the lady said she didnt see a line but yet there was still a line behind him an the lady just started talking over his shoulder like he wasnt even there they are rude and careless
Keeps bs my nephew around about his change of address, told him they just needed and envelope with new address and date of past 30 days, well he had that and it still wasnt good enough. This place does nothing but lies to peipke and is a damn joke
I have come in a total of 5 times and haven’t donated once every single time I go in they tell me I can’t. There is always something for them to turn me away for. Don’t bother going in go to CSL where they actually accept people.
The appointment times are a joke. If you have one expect it not to be followed. I got here for a 10:00 appointment, it is now 11:00 and I am still waiting to get into a donation bed.

Saving lives is what this company is all about! They make life saving medicines from human plasma donations! It I really amazing what they do! You should check it out!
They figure out every which way they can to defer you but yet they still have posted that they want donors. This company absolutely is horrible theres gotta be a better way to earning money and this aint it!
Worst experience ever here. The workers don’t care. Foul language is highly used which I don’t appreciate during my donation process.
Very friendly and are as fast as possible.people complain about the wait but dont realize that it takes about 45 mins just to pump.staff in the back take good care of you..no complaints from me.

2022-06-21I have made over 200 donations over these last few years but today will be my last. I have noticed a marked decline in the customer service quality at this location. Many of the good nurses and technicians have left. All that remains are morbid drones that make the donation experience a bore. Its like having a tooth pulled at the dentist without novacaine. I suggest an abrupt change in management to revitalize the place or donations will continue to decline.

2022-01-29The last time I donated my vein clotted or something and I didnt get my blood back. I was deferred for 8 weeks. They then sent me a text talking about come back and well give you a $100 bonus on your next donation. But it has a experation date and you cant make an appointment bc they booked clear passed the expiration date lol so you call to see what you can do and its nothing..just Eff you and your bonus even though its our fault you couldnt come back in the first place. Lol and theyre ride. 🤷🏼♀️

2022-01-03I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and was very excited to be able to donate. When I got there, they told me there wouldn’t be time today, but I could reschedule for another day this week. I drove over a half hour to get there for an appointment I made and then got turned down! Very disappointing.

2022-01-11The scales are ALWAYS off as well as the blood pressure machines. I’ve been told I couldn’t donate once due to low blood pressure. I’ve NEVER in my life had LOW blood pressure. How do I weigh 5-7 pound difference in 2 days???? Staff loves to conversate with each other over actually working. There are days I get in and out, but the equipment needs updated desperately!!!!

2022-06-30It was horrible they told me Monday and Thursday I got there this morning and ask me did I have an appointment I said Mondays and Thursdays and then they turned around and said that it was a time that I had to schedule it however they were NOT very pleasant to me again it was a horrible experience I will never ever go back there again they need to be trained and how to treat people with all that said and done I wont even rate them it was horrible.

2021-07-29You can wait an hour and a half after your appointment time and think you are next,then one of their favorites (vips)walks in and line jumps right in front of you. VIP means very important person. The opposite of important is unimportant. Thats how you are treated.

2022-02-04Not happy had an appointment at 6:15 get there to find out they don’t open until nine nobody can text or email that their hours have changed very unprofessional and now waiting to hear to see if I get an appointment Myself every other cars were waiting and they never got a notification about a late start very unprofessional and after I had to come back at 1 they have a sign up but it wasn’t up this morning and I still never got called back

2021-11-03Slow unorganized dated would not recommend. Sends out promotions blowing up your phone and do not have means to accommodate you. I would suggest CSL plasma in Belden Village as an alternative much do faster an overly better experience.

2021-06-23I waited 2 hrs because I was new... and went all the way to the last step and they said no... because my protein levels where too high... do me a favor when you call it one of the first thing it says... is to. Are sure you eat a rest the night before with a high protein intake.. so explain to me.... why they wait till the end... to check this.. ARENT WE IN A DIER NEED OF BLOOD DONATIONS??? Im going back today... wish me luck..
