We stopped here for lunch and have been looking for a good Greek restaurant. We found this when we searched for local Greek food. It’s worth a stop. For sure. There is indoor AND outdoor dining available. The decor inside and out is very well set up and an open area so you can see what’s around, and watch the grill, while you wait. Service was outstanding. The lady was very nice, was very clear about what was available in food and drinks and very friendly to our two year old. The food was excellent!! Dessert will leave you craving for more. If you’re looking for Greek and there is no festival around- stop here. It’s worth it. Pricing is similar to an Olive Garden or macaroni grill. So figure about $20 for a good entree and $5-$10 for a good dessert.
Very good food and service a wonderful place to eat if you like Mediterranean food. The chef is very accommodating for those that are gluten free, vegan, or vegetarian. Beautiful decor and very clean restaurant and restrooms. The service is always spot on and all the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Great place for a date, business dinner, or a special occasion.
I literally cannot say enough good things about this place. If you want true authentic greek food or just an excellent meal and dining experience please go here! I will always be a loyal fan of this restaurant! They also do excellent take out for a gourmet meal at home
Delectable!!! Not a single bad thing I could say about this spot. Incredible service that starts when you walk through the door. The owner/manager is always there to welcome you and get you to your table. The staff is always knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I recommend going back again and again to try all of the incredible plates Takis has to offer. Fine dining experience with good prices. Great cocktails as well. Couldnt be happier that someone recommended this restaurant to me
Went out to Takis Greek restaurant tonight for some drinks with the honey, cocktails were good but the bartender was clearly drunk, watched half the staff openly drink booze on the line an hour before close. Incredibly disappointing for what they are charging. For 60$+ one of our drink requests was completely ignored, first martini glass given to us had glitter lipstick on the rim, our food got rang in out of order, the bartender couldnt figure out how to split the bill, and slurred her words the entire time.
Love restaurant week, use it to try new places. Picked a winner here. Appetizers were great, beet salad and zucchini fritters. Avoid the creamy soup however, very lemony, two of sent it back.Nice selection of entrees with funny names, but when you read the descriptions, easy to make a choice. Had the cabbage steak, with roasted mushrooms extremely filling, tasty.Unfortunately, no baklava for dessert, told it would be back on the menu soon. Will definitely be back.
Let me start by saying the cooks did a fantastic job, the food was delicious and our waitress was great—BUT, big but, I made a reservation online for a nice date night only to get there and be told by the owner ‘I shut that reservation site down yesterday’, so I showed my confirmation text. We were then seated outside of the patio gate next to the parking lot, and by the time the food got there we were completely in the dark. The waitress tried and got us a couple LED candles so we could see what we were eating but we couldn’t even see each other. The owner came out and told us it was the governor’s fault we had to sit there and to enjoy our food....ya, no. We won’t be back.
Good meal, but asked for a few more pita slices to take home with our $13 dip and was informed that we would be additionally charged. Clarified that 2 or 3 would be fine and still refused. Asked to speak to manager who did give us 4 pieces of pita but made it a point to try to convey the inappropriateness of our request. Refused audience with owner. Left feeling very let down and unappreciated as a customer.
Yummy Greek food. I found this place while searching for local restaurants online and convinced my mom to try it. We both enjoyed it. I took a friend there within a couple weeks after first trying it and she enjoyed it also. The servers are very knowledgeable about the offerings on the menu. Nice open concept kitchen. I have enjoyed everything Ive had at this restaurant.
What a fantastic treasure we have here in NE Ohio... Both the salmon and the scallops entre was cooked to perfection, well balanced and absolutely out of this world! Excellent service, very knowledgeable waitress, very quick turnaround even on a busy Friday night. The owner is spot on, and it shows. Great ambiance. Highly appreciated and recommended!
Hidden in Avon lake is this beautiful Greek gem. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and let me tell you that was some of the best calamari Ive ever had. There was barely any breading and no grease and the flavor it gave was amazing. For entrees we ordered the moussaka and the beef shank and boy were they dynamite. Very very good will be back soon.
Consistently delicious food & excellent service! This is my go-to recommendation for friends and family. I love the fireplace in winter and the patio in summer. Ive had many different menu items and Ive never been disappointed. Dont skip the Ekmek for dessert. Its amazing!
First time at this restaurant and it was AMAZING. The service was impeccable and the food was just delicious. We had the spanakopite for an appetizer, and for dinner I had the pasta with shrimp and mussels and my husband had the pork chops, both of which provided enough for lunch the next day. Its an hour from our home and Im ready to move just to be closer!
My husband and I visited Takis a few months ago with my mother-in-law who already was a big fan. The restaurant is in a convenient location and it was very tastefully decorated inside. The food was very good and the service was excellent! We will be back again to try something different on the menu ;-)
My mom and I stopped in here looking for something different than the usual eating out fare. The food was delicious. In fact, I took my friend Becky there for lunch the next week and have recommended this restaurant to my office for our next holiday luncheon.I found our waiter very knowledgeable about the menu. The moussaka is one of my favorites. My friend Becky tried one of the seasonal flatbreads and enjoyed it.The kitchen is described as an open concept kitchen. Some might not like how it looks, but I enjoyed the idea and the decor.
Excellent dining experienceHigh quality food and service.Had the scallops, served on sauteed spinach and artichoke, with rice.I could make a meal of the spinach and artichoke alone. Delicious.Great appetizers .Our Server was Danielle, she was very informative, and helped explain many of the offerings-A difficult choice, as they all sound wonderful
I love Taki’s!!! We got the Tiropita, saganaki, lamb chops, and chicken. The tiropita was by far my favorite thing, and has a unique twist to it, it has seeds and honey on it, and that made it even better. Our waiter, I think his name was Steven, he was very kind to us :D hopefully we will be back soon.
Went for New Years eve and got seated at the worst table near the front door. The service was terrible.....ordered a bottle of wine that we waited 25 minutes for and never received. We decided to leave and the owner rudely got in our face about it. Ended up going home and ordering pizza. The pizza was ordered, made, and delivered hot to our door in less than 25 minutes. Really? It takes more than 25 minutes to open a bottle of wine ? Oh, and the pizza even comes with insurance!
Nice to place to experience Mediterranean cuisine. Moussaka and Youvetsi are my favorite picks. In nice weather, you can also dine outside and they have great planning on the plants and layout.Only suggestion I would have is the pricing, Greeks are famous for their down-to-earth life style and generous portion in food serving (being the wife of a Greek who was born and brought up there, I believe his comment on the portion vs. price)!
Stopped in for lunch during a road trip. Wonderful food, served on the patio which provides garden coziness and privacy from the world. Moussaka was delicious with enough for a second meal. Servers were courteous, willing to engage in a bit of idiocy. Moreover, there when needed, a sent when not.
The service was fantastic and the food was even better. Appitizers were great, the fried cheese and hummus with eggplant. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and may have been the best ones I ever ate. The baklava was wonderful. I even liked the roasted brussel sprouts and I dont like brussel sprouts.
Excellent lamburger and fries, friendly and attentive wait staff, clean and inviting dining room. They could use a slightly discounted lunch menu, and although its a bit upscale, it certainly wouldnt dilute their ambience, nor would it kill them, to offer a gyro for those who need to go straight for a known comfort food.
Best Greek food I have had in the Cleveland area, and maybe in the U.S. Every dish has been authentic and delicious. The menu goes well beyond the typical list of dishes in most American Greek restaurants and includes many things you would find in a restaurant in Greece.
Second year coming from South Carolina, to meet with the cousins. Usually we have a lot of people, and this year and had some cancellations, owner charged a no show fee. Food is good, owner was a pain , restaurant was never full, no one was turned away, and we dropped over a grand, and yet charged.. Last time we’ll come here.

2022-07-19My lamb burger was extremely good. The side of eggplant was delicious. My wifes chicken lacked flavor and it was very dry. Her Greek fries were very, vert good. The Mythos beer was nice and cold. However, it was very hot in the restaurant which made it very uncomfortable. Our waitress was perfect. The service was excellent.

2022-06-11Super cozy and cute restaurant. The fireplace is the center of attention as it should be.I started with the KALAMARAKIA(fried calamari - pictured below). I was not a fan of it, hence the 4 stars. However, I had a refreshing glass of Pinot Grigio and the pita bread with the cucumber spread/dip was good!!!!As for my entrée, I ordered theMACARONIA THALASSINA (pasta in a lemon butter sauce with shrimp, mussels, lobster, feta….and fresh herbs (pictured below). When I say simply delicious. I mean DELICIOUS!!!!I was definitely happy with my choice and will be back to try other items on the menu.

2022-07-05This small unassuming restaurant at the end of a strip mall....certainly did not disappoint. The best lemon chicken (avgolemono) soup that I have ever had. Calamari appetizer was great. I cant wait to return and sample more from their menu.

2021-03-21The food is amazing here. I consider this place the only legit Greek restaurant in the Cleveland area, the food was spot on. The owner is very proactive in making sure everyone has a positive dining experience and our server was great. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. The dining area is on the small side, so making reservations is highly suggested.

2020-09-10High quality Greek food! Not your average selections - a little pricey for my liking but all of the options sounded delicious. At around 2pm we were told that there was no spanakopites because the ‘prep guy’ just got there, that was disappointing.I shared the moussaka with my mom and we had plenty to take home for leftovers! It was very heavy on the bechamel but we can’t complain because it was so warm and comforting. The complementary pita and dip was just as good as the moussaka, I could have made a meal on that alone!Recommend for anyone looking for a change of pace and looking to avoid massive chain restaurants.

2019-09-13This is a fantastic place and Avon Lake is lucky to have them. A friend told me that the chef formerly worked for Johnnys Bar, which is one of the best places in the Cleveland area. That talent, brought here, is quite unique and delicious.I had the Lamb Burger, which was excellent, and the cheese on the fries was a nice touch. When the simple side salad is excellent and dusted with herbs, perfection.
