Absolutely happy with svg and how they got me into the car I really wanted even when I didn’t think I’d get approved. My sellsman Adam Newman killed it!! Very professional and all together super happy and grateful for him pushing hard and working hard to put me into my new car!!! 10/10 would recommend svg for your new car! Thanks again Adam!!!!
Our first appointment was for Friday Mar 3, we made it via the online automated scheduler. I arrived way early for the appointment but the smug desk clerk stated that my appointment and account information wasnt located in the system. I showed my confirmation texts and emails and still the smug attitude of the clerk, who stated as if everyone knew- the online system has been malfunctioning for 6 months and it was my fault for not knowing. So we had to reschedule. So, I recommend you counsel the clerk and terminate whomever is supposed to maintain the web based automated scheduler.
Urbana was awesome sales man ThomasHudson was awesome after we were sent from Greenville by Natasha to test drive something that was not even on the parking lot. I was upset drove so far to find out it was not there, but Thomas Hudson saved the day. Jeffery Wright did an awesome job of getting a loan for us. Thank You Jack Emerick for having a car like the one we just purchased. He was so helpful even through our finance that we understude everything we we signing, and showing us how to turn on our headlights. Loved the Hospitality. Such a awesome group of people. Thanks Again Urbana.Would never go back to Greenville SVG. Horrible experience felt like she was trying to trap me into doing things I was not comfortable and trying to talk over a customer when trying to explaine reason of change.
Id give the sales team 4 stars as Thomas and Jack are great guys. However i purchased a brand new gmc terrain, overall car is great. Why 2 stars? Well their mechanics ate candybars and left wrappers inside vehicle. Had a scratch on mirror😡, got it fixxed while performing simoniz, cool. However after getting vehicle back to find scratches on the interior now😡. Im sure i could get them fixxed, but im over an hour away and do not want to see what they can mess up a 3rd time. Again sales team was great hovever id avoid their mechanics and body detail people if possible. Id buy another car from them. But more maintanance is out of the question.
Top Notch Experience!I couldnt have been more pleased with everything from my trade-in to the purchase of my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. Colin was energetic and eager to help me get me in the truck Ive been looking for. They gave me the best trade-in offer of any dealer in the Dayton area, and ensured I was able to take advantage of all the GM rebates. No haggling. No b.s.I highly recommend SVG Urbana to anyone in the market for a new vehicle. They earned a customer for life.
First and foremost, I always try to provide feedback regardless if positive or negative, In this instance, my experience was outstanding! This was the most pleasant experience my wife and I have ever had purchasing a vehicle and we are old people who have purchased many vehicles throughout our lives. Robert was a wealth of knowledge, any questions, he had answers. He was also very personable, Bob is the kind of gentleman that I would socialize with outside of purchasing a vehicle. Your finance manager is awesome as well, as things were being wrapped up and our new car prepared to leave the lot, the finance manager took the time to shoot the breeze with me. The entire staff was excellent, again, especially the young man who prepared the paperwork. He was a very genuine young man. It speaks volumes that I was in the market for a Lincoln MKZ and had one picked out at a dealership in Columbus, we had a late afternoon appointment at this other dealership with paperwork already prepared. Obviously we did not make it to the other dealer, instead of a Lincoln I purchased a Buick. If you would have told me in the morning I would pick a Buick over a Lincoln I would have told you youre nuts! My last three new cars have been Lincoln MKZs, my wifes last vehicle was a Navigator. Thanks for the great experience, I know where I will come for our next new vehicle, Urbana SVG!
Outstanding dealership. First dealing with the service manager and service department. Went in upset, discussed the issue with Robert, salesman and Cynk, service manager. I do not yet have a follow up review. I left with a nice loaner vehicle and expectations of the repair of my week and a half old Buick with 500 miles on it. I do not doubt that the repairs will be done professionally and documented as I requested. When I receive my vehicle back, in a timely fashion, I will leave a follow up.The long and short, I like the way Steve is conducting business. It is refreshing to be treated like a customer making an important and expensive purchase instead of like some kid is doing you a favor by leaving the showroom to talk to you. Take note other dealers D H GM deer in Sidney. I recommend if you are reading this make the drive to SVG, you will not be disappointed.
It was for my first oil change after buying a car from SVG. I made the appointment online but when I got there, 10 minutes before my appointment time, I was not on the schedule. It took the person 30 minutes to get me in the computer and on the schedule. He had to ask me for my name at least 10 times and the VIN number about 5 times. After he said I was good and could sit down, he still came one more time to get my name. Other than that the service was good.
I originally started out at the Beavercreek branch and my sales person was Tajh Barton. He went above and beyond to make sure that I found the suv that I wanted. I text drove one at that location but it was a little out of my price range so he listed one at the Urbana branch and even took me out there to test drive one and I fell in love with the suv then days later went home with it smiling. Special thanks to Aaron Wright for shopping around to ensure I got the best rate from the back. Both associations are highly recommended by me. Customer service goes a long ways!!!
2nd vehicle we have purchased from SVG in just over a year! The ABSOLUTE BEST service, BEST people, BEST BEST BEST SALES WOMAN EVER JESS!!! Please see her! She got us into what WE WANTED, not what we could essentially afford. SHE DID BOTH! WE HIGHLY recommend OUR SVG FAMILY!!! Much Love, ❤❤❤❤❤ The Notts
Andrew Byrd was my salesman and he did an excellent job with handling all my questions and service was impeccable. All recalls handle with care and considerations. Very personable young man and excellent service representative for SVG. Aaron was the finance manager and he handled everything in a professional manner and very efficient. I would recommend the dealership to anyone looking to purchase a new car. Thanks for quick responses and help with my new car purchase.
Jess was amazing at helping my grandparents pick out the car that they wanted. She made sure that they did not fall in love with a car out of their price range. She also made sure that they received the price that they wanted. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The process was quick and easy.
The team was good, I didnt like having to take a test drive with others in the car. Like calm down I am not going to rob you. I like the hear the car without you talking. I just like to be alone or with the person I brought so we can discuss in private without someone right there the entire time.Service team was very good.I brought my daughter in to get a car. Like dont the cleaning boys have anything else to do instead of standing right there watching you and smoking? Like super uncomfortable. That made her kinda want to leave. We did leave. All and all super nice team. They have their policies and I get it. Would and have totally recommended this place to others.
After multiple lots had told me no due to poor credit history, I was literally SHOCKED to finally hear yes from them!!! The whole thing was such a great experience. They treat you like family and actually listen to your vehicle needs. Thank you guys so much for working so hard and even late on a Saturday evening so I could leave with EXACTLY what I wanted!!!
The first question you should ask them when inquiring about a new car is ‘Is the car in drivable condition’. I’m from an hour away so I emailed about pricing for a specific model. I was told ‘Your presence is your best leverage’ so I made an appointment and came in. After driving the hour to the dealer, I wasn’t allowed to test drive the (brand new) car I had been inquiring about because it needed ‘serviced’. They had me test drive a different one. The whole drive the salesperson was reading information about the incorrect trim level off his phone. After that, when they found the keys so I could get inside and take a look at the one I wanted, the battery was dead - but no offer to jump the car, so I left. I talked to the salesperson on the phone a few days later and even after my trip in they wouldn’t come any off of MSRP. If you want an honest and simple buying experience I would recommend looking elsewhere. It was a complete waste of my time.
Aaron Thompson was my salesman and he was AWESOME!! I found my vehicle at your Urbana, Ohio location, but asked if he would/could get it to the Greenville, Ohio location as it was closer to my house. He drove my new car down w/all the necessary paperwork and we closed the deal in like 30 minutes. I am LOVING my new Terrain.
I had a great car buying experience at SVG. I went there to see Nate, who came highly recommended, and I am so glad I did. He worked with exactly what I told him I wanted and what my situation and price range was. I never felt pressured or rushed. I went there to look at one vehicle and then we discussed a vehicle that was at their Beavercreek location and within 24 hrs they had it brought to their location for me to test drive and its now mine. The finance guy at the end was very patient and understanding of my 5 year old who was definitely over being at the car lot. Very pleased overall!
I would highly recommend anyone to go see Jess for a stress free, all around great car buying experience! She went above and beyond any salesman I’ve worked with in the past. She showed a genuine interest in getting me into the vehicle I loved and was relentless in her efforts to get me the best deal possible. I’m very pleased with the experience overall and will definitely be returning for future business!
I was told by receptionist when I made appointment, that beings I had the extended warranty it would be diagnosed for free, and would get a loaner car if I needed one. When I took it in, they told me the issue and told me the cost which included diagnostics. Then, the receptionist told me they didnt have loaner cars available. She lied to me twice and when I brought it to her attention, she said she never told me this. The repairmen did a great job. So, my experience is receptionist is horrible and lies to customers, but repairmen do a great job
Took my Terrain in to have the clips on panoramic sunroof shade repaired on 04/08/2021I wasnt finished till next day. Picked the Terrain up on Sat 04/10. The shade was sagging down. I ask the guy at service desk if the fabric was supposed to be put in the channel on the sides to keep it from sagging. He said no thats the way it is. I since have found out the shade fabric does go in the channels. I even put the drivers side in with a credit card. Havent been able to get the other side in yet. I plan on returning to SVG to have it done. Its obvious the service dept at SVG Urbana doesnt have any experience with Sunroofs. The Terrain is still under warranty
I drove down to dealership thinking I could drive a car home but no.... we have to wait. I was pre approved so exactly what does it mean if you are pre approved? Good question why bother with being pre-approved if they make you go through it again and then say sorry you need 1000.00 down blah blah...they did try on this holiday weekend and its not his fault but really why do we get pre-approval then if we really arent!
Jess is SO AWESOME! She was so helpful and willing to do everything she could to make sure I got the price and payments I wanted. She helped me find the right car for me and I didn’t feel like she was pushy or a “car dealer.” She is very personable and I felt like she always had my best interests in mind. I initially came to SVG and she helped me find a car that I almost purchased but eventually decided wasn’t right for me. She completely understood and let me get things together and then helped me after that to find another car that ended up being perfect! And she helped me find the most cost effective way to do it and I’m SO HAPPY! Thank you Jess! I’ll come to you first when I want to get my next car!
High recommend coming here and talking to Andrew Byrd! Great customer service, friendly staff members and he worked with my situation the best he could. I now have a durable car and I will definitely be coming back next time when Im ready for another vehicle! The cars are in good shape and they all take pride in what they sell here.
We have 50 years of car buying experience. This is by far the best buying experience we have ever had. This is mainly due to Jessica. She was knowledgeable, professional, witty , just all around pleasant to work with. The whole dealership atmosphere was exceptional and I strongly recommend buying a vehicle here, but ask for Jess. You wont be disappointed. .
My first contact at SVG MOTORS in Urbana Ohio was Rob the sales manager very nice man, I made a very special request from him and Ill be darned if he didnt make it happen.Jess was our sales person couldnt ask for a better representative she found exactly what my husband was looking for and kept us updated every step of the way, she made car buying fast and friendly the way it should be. Arron inthe in finance department really knows his stuff made sure we had what we needed at the price we needed.
Highly recommend. Jessica is great. She got me the car I wanted with all the bells and whistles. The car looks brand new and very expensive; however it was not. It was well within my price range. The staff at SVG made me feel very comfortable and there was no pressure to buy. I was in and out within an hour.
It was time for my Oil change and email stated tire rotation. The oil change was done and since my tires were rotated last time I didnt need that this time so instead of doing it and charging me Drew told me I didnt need it this time well do it next time. I appreciated not having to pay for something not necessary. They also found I needed a new air filter and I was in need of new wiper blades so they made both of those repairs for me at this visit so I didnt have to reschedule.
I bought a new car at SVG just over two weeks ago and Katherine was extremely nice and helpful. She got me a good deal on a great car, and it came with some other really nice perks from the dealership like free oil changes. Overall Im really happy with my new car, and would highly recommend asking for Katherine. Top notch customer service!
Was promised $500 down, walk out with vehicle. Came in two weeks later, was given runaround. They changed down payment required 3 times. I went in there on 2 days trying to get a vehicle, just needed something reliable. Vehicles posted thousands above kbb, and wrong odometer reading listed. Steve, the owner, stated he wanted to hear what all happened, but hasnt contacted me back at all. And Urbana lot refused to look at entire inventory, only their lot. I was told dont come back unless we call you. Was promised follow ups, then it never happened.
Just bought a Chevy Traverse and love it. Katherine Mossbarger was our sales person and she went above and beyond to help find the car I wanted. She was very patient with me and spent a lot of time going over the features of the car. I needed a lot of help learning how things worked and she gave me all the time I needed. I would highly recommend seeing Katherine!!! Also, thanks to Charlie Lewis getting me in the price range. Great service!!!! Now they’re on the look out for my husband a truck, so yes we’d go back!!!! Thanks to a great team!!!!
Second vehicle I have purchased from SVG and my experience continues to get better. I purchased this one in Urbana from Jessica Gaston and she exceeded my expectations!! Took time to see what would be the best option for us never put any pressure on us and even got the exact color and model we wanted in a timely fashion. Thanks again SVG!!!!
This is an amazing dealership. My salesman, Jack, was very helpful. Answered all my questions, and never tried to push me into a vehicle. I knew exactly what I wanted, and he helped me with that. Everyone there was very polite and worked together to get me the best deal they could. Thank you very much. I purchased my truck roughly 2 weeks ago. Jack has sent short text recently just to check in and to see if Im still happy with my purchase. Ive never met a salesman thats done that. Much appreciated.
We just got the 2019 Chevy Trax and we love it! Our salesman was BRYCE WHITE. If we could give him 100 stars, I would. He did an amazing job with getting us into something that we love and he did everything he could to get us in it and didn’t stop til he did. If you go in, definitely ask for him, You won’t regret your decision. All the staff were friendly and professional.Highly recommend Urbana SVG & Bryce.
Updating our review after a poor experience with follow-up from SVG Urbana. Read the first review below for our initial in-dealership experience with people that were really helpful in making the sale Ayrica and Andrew were stellar + The gentleman in finance that night. Our follow up experience on several issues was abysmal, though. We bought the vehicle in January, updating this in late August.1. We were told when we purchased the vehicle and inked the paper that we would get a second key (this was on there We Owe sheet). I had to follow up 7 times before I got a call back about having our second key sent to us. They then told me that having the key made locally where Im from (5+ hours away) would Cost them a lot more than having it made by their key guy and that I could drive 4 hours to have one made by their guy. They were so eager to say yes to giving us an extra key and never made it clear that wed need to travel 200+ miles back to get it done. Theyre paying for a local dealer to take care of this. Crazy how much work it took us to get to this point though.2. We supplied them with all of the information for our trade in. Every service record back to when the car was new, the TITLE and all other pertinent info. 3 months after the deal was done I got a call that they had lost the title and paperwork for our trade-in and they needed me to file for a duplicate title. File for a duplicate title, with the BMV thats walk-in only during a pandemic. Needless to say, I spent literal hours in line at the BMV, taking away from my work and income to fix their problem and spending my money to buy the duplicate title and send it certified mail their way.3. We JUST now in late august (bought car in January) got to title our new vehicle that we purchased. We were told that we would have a memorandum of title sent to our address in Indiana and I am confident that it was never sent. We dont get much mail and we were on the lookout for that. When we were getting close to the end of our temp plates we called the dealership because we hadnt receive the plates and rather than resending a new memorandum, they emailed me a scan of it. BMV wont take a poor scan of an image as an official document... So COVID-19 Strikes again and I have to wait in line at the BMV three times to get the car titled all because we didnt have paperwork thats just standard procedure for a car sale. Why wouldnt this official paperwork be sent certified?I wish I could keep my glowing review up, but man, there were so many spots where the ball was dropped throughout this process by SVG. No extra key and no communication (I had to chase it down to get what were owed), Lost the title we gave to them to our trade in and asked us for a duplicate title which took hours in line at the BMV and never sending the memorandum of title for our new car forcing us to chase THAT down with the BMV which meant more time in line. This all could have been avoided if the follow up was competent and communicative and they didnt lose paperwork. Instead, I was left in the dark having to call the dealership trying to figure out their issues.Maybe if youre local the transaction process would be easier, but if youre out of state or driving any kind of distance to buy a car here, be forewarned that issues could arise and the follow up could echo my experience. We had an excellent experience! We bought from out of town (5+ hours drive). We bought because they had the best price on a low-mile vehicle that we had looked high and low for, fully packaged and top trim level! My experience started with Ayrica in the internet business development office. She was STELLAR. Answering all my questions via phone (and text!) quickly and efficiently. When we arrived to the dealership, Andrew Byrd helped us through the test drive and buying process. He was kind, knowledgeable and kept us informed through the entire process. Great guy, great experience. Thankful for a good experience, and a team that cared and went out of their way to accommodate some out-of-town guests.
We enjoyed dealing with Bob he is a fantastic salesman very high energy and enthusiastic about his job! Only down side for my husband and I was the run around having to get the car we was interested in from another SVG car lot we spent almost 2 entire days waiting on it to finally be delivered, other ghan that was treated great!
Was promised by Nate $500 down would get us a car, when we were honest about our income and credit. This was on Veterans day 2020. We go into Urbana lot day before Thanksgiving, and nothing can be done? Was also promised a car with $500 down by Mya a week before arriving. Urbana, through coming in twice, changed their excuses several times. Was told by Colin to never come back until he called me. He promised follow up on a vehicle, never did it. They changed down payment required 3 times, refused to answer smart payment questions, and refused to let me speak to Tom. Our income is the same as 1,200 a month gross, because our income is not taxable. And selling cars $2k above kbb, and lying about odometer reading on vehicles? Lies and deception. They value high profit over ANYTHING else.
I just recently had a diagnosis of a check engine light performed at the Urbana SVG service center. Cost wise dont think was to hateful as it was just a lil over $100. The only real inconvenience was the fact that I had to wait about 3 hours to get the verdict and my vehicle returned to me. However I am going to return there soon and have them repair their diagnosis. So depending on the outcome this rating may change.
SVG advertises they buy cars. We took a 2014 Cadillac to them and was made an offer by Jeff VanGorder that we accepted. He asked that we bring the car back the next day to have the struts inspected and if they were OK the offer would stand. The next day the struts were inspected and we were told they were OK but then a different sales manager said they would only pay $1,000 less than offered and agreed upon the night before. We refused to sell based upon the switching an agreed upon offer.
Our sales person was Jessica Gaston. She was confident, polite, knowledgeable, and not pushy at all. I was unsure of which equinox I wanted. She let me take my time to look at all the vehicles and go over each one. She was very helpful with any concerns I had. I would definitely recommend her.
My wife and I drove an hour and a half from Cincinnati to this dealer for a specific non-GM SUV and a deal that seemed too good to be true. Long story short, we bought said SUV at a great deal and with zero pressure to look at anything else. Our saleswoman, Lori, was fantastic and really down to earth! The whole team here was very personable and worked to make this a relaxing experience! Not to mention, the car was cleaner than any car that Ive ever test driven in my life! Generally not a fan of dealerships or salespeople but I was very impressed by this one!
We walked in expecting to be turned away because we dont have the best credit, instead we were pleasantly surprised when we walked out in a brand new Encore. Katherine was amazing and took the time to help us choose a vehicle right for us. The finance team was also great! The car payment was a little more than I wanted; however, we also ended up choosing new instead of used. We felt very welcomed and have already recommended Katherine to friends and family.
My husband and I were in a tight spot and the crew at SVG was terrific in helping us get a new car, especially Bryce White! Bryce was such a joy to work with and he even shared his gummy bears with me! (I’m pregnant and was hungry... it’s the small things!)We really appreciated Rick too, who went above and beyond to work some great deals out for us!A huge thanks to Bryce and Rick and the rest of the team at SVG. 10/10 would shop with them again!
We are very pleased with the vehicle we bought there. The sales team was very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful in the purchase and financing of the vehicle. The vehicle was at another SVG dealership, they arranged to have it brought to the Urbana dealership within a few hours so we could drive it. The vehicle selection was very good and prices were reasonable. I am very glad to have SVG motors in Urbana and I would definitely recommend purchasing a vehicle from SVG at any of their locations.
We had a wonderful experience here. This was our 4th car we have purchased, the 1st at svg. The smoothest and best experience out all of them. Andrew was our salesman. Amazing. He was kind, helpful, patient and went over and beyond to get what we wanted and to get the payment we could afford. Aaron in finance was wonderful too. Very kind, helpful and explained everything. It was nice to be treated like a person, like family then a person they were just trying to sell a car too. The environment was great. One of the reasons we tried out svg is bc we always thought Steve was hilarious on his commercials and wanted to see what it was like here. I would definitely recommend ppl to purchase their car here and I will be a returning customer for sure!! Thank you svg!!
We were greeted as we walked into the Urbana dealership and asked how we could be helped. We told the person what we were looking for, and that we had been online looking at some vehicles from SVG. We were then taken to an associate that was very helpful and attentive. His name was Ashton Edman. We did find the vehicle that we wanted and we were pleased with the whole process. I have also returned to the dealership with some questions about some of the technology and was quickly assisted. My elderly mother will be shopping for a new car in the next month or two and will begin her search at SVG in Urbana with Ashton.
I will never buy another vehicle from this crooked company. We were in dire need of a vehicle, with little options we came here. After an eternity of waiting they sent us home while they did some searching for us. They contacted us a little while later with a vehicle that matched our needs. It was at a different location, so they sent us the link. We looked at it and was interested in it. When they brought it up here, it was totally different. The website said the interior was a totally different color. Which should of been the first clue about this place. Then when we sign the papers there was somethings that they needed to take care of, before we could pick it up. When we came to pick it up we found out that we didnt qualify for the car since they put in the mileage wrong. Then they tried to push into a car that was entirely wrong for us, and it wasnt even ready yet, it needed to have bodywork done to it. We ended up getting the first vehicle after we came up with more money to put down. Once we got it, we had it for two days when the service light came on. So, we took it back to find out they never did any inspections to it. They did their inspections, found out there was recalls on the vehicle, that I have to take care of. Then they charged me one of my free oil changes, eventhough they didnt do it in the first place. Then after all that they took over a month to come get our trade in, without giving me my plates back. Then they tell me that I forgot to sign something in the paperwork and when I get in there they tell me, its ok they took care of it. When I asked how did they do that when I needed to sign something they had no response to it. So, my question is how did they get my signature on without me signing it? Buyer beware, stay away from this place.
On Veterans day, Nate in Beavercreek lot promised a car with $500 down, after my wife was completely honest about our income and credit. I called and spoke to Mya, whom promised the same. Both said as little as $800 a month income. Our income equates to full time employment. Day before Thanksgiving, we went to Urbana lot, with $500, and was being pressured for $2k down. They were trying to get us into a Cruze, and refused to let us test drive it, even when offering to leave our licenses until car returned. Also, they never asked for documents we brought. Later at home, I left 2 vms for Jeff, asking why Cruze was 13k miles more then listed, and $2k more than kbb retail price, when theres stains on inside and issue with outside paint. Day after Thanksgiving, I took Uber there, and they were asking for 2.5k down. They blamed it on bank algerithym, and refused to let me talk to Tom personally. They also refused to get car from another lot. Travis got Tom on phone to mention something to me about bank, but pulled phone back when I tried to ask Tom questions. And I think they ran credit on wrong person, because my credit was 100 points higher a month sooner, with 3 other dealerships. Lies and deception. I caught 2 vehicles with wrong odometer listing, and priced $2k above KBB, even if listed odometer reading was correct.
I wasnt allowed to take my vehicle home. Was told to take courtesy car. I said I needed to think on it. Parts were ordered before I had chance to call with answer. Basically railroaded into an expensive bill - $854 which still did NOT solve the problem. A simple thermostat is all I needed which I did mention upon bringing car in at beginning. Wanted another $197 just for a thermostat (inexpensive) which I declined. Bought thermostat which was installed by relative for little bit of nothing.
I bought a car here a while back and the car salesman I was dealing with was an amazing man, but when it came time to buy it, I felt very pressured to buy all the extras when I just wanted the car. They brought back the payment option 3 times with extras on the bill when we clearly stated we did not want it the first time. Also, getting the car home (only 30 minutes away) the car started making a funny sound but the dealership was closed so I took it back the next day. They wouldnt fix it because I didnt buy the extended warranty. Also talking to the service guy to fix the car, said even if they fix it, it would make the same sound, so even the service person seems unreliable. I wouldnt buy another car here. They are very disorganize and was even told by a worker that the people there didnt even have voicemails set up so dont expect a phone call back if you leave a voicemail. Besides paying extra money out of pocket I didnt have to fix what was wrong, it is a nice car. Everything I wanted and extra. Only issue was the staff.
Was promised over phone $500 down, walk out with car. We were honest about income and credit. Went in there day before Thanksgiving, they said $2k down, blamed it on bank. And we werent picky about vehicle. And lied on 2 vehicles about odometer reading. One listed as 91k, but was 104k. other, listed as 77k, but was 120k. And they sell vehicles for $2k above kbb dealer value. When we had $2k down, they changed to $2.5 k. And I think they lied about my credit score. My score doesnt drop 100 ponts in one week, with nothing negative that could be added to it. Dont trust their lies. Jeff and Travis lie.
Not a good experience overall. Our salesman (Bryce White) was very good but we were not impressed with the sales manager. With our own financing already secured we made an offer on a used vehicle. They counter offered as expected. The problem is the internet clearly has the advertised price on the vehicle and they offered a $500 military discount for my son but off a price thats higher on the vehicle than advertised. Very disappointed with that kind of buisness, especially since it was supposed to be a discount for an active member of our military.
I worked with ken on getting a 2017 Kia Optima SLX turbo. He was a very relaxed and kind man to work with. Good conversation and he was in and out of the finance office about 5 times trying to get me to a payment I wanted! The man put in the work. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future!
I found the exact car I was looking for here via on-line search. I contacted this dealer, asked three very basic and simple questions about the car (of which they answered two), and asked MULTIPLE TIMES over two days to put a deposit on the car so I could come and get it as I was an out of town buyer. After making arrangements to fly up to pick the vehicle up, these unscrupulous people informed me they went ahead and sold the car to someone else. If you enjoy giving your business and trust to people that dont have the slightest amount of integrity, principles or ethics, this is your place.
Everyone that we dealt with was very nice from our sales person Lori Gillian to the general manager, Jeff Vangorder, to the finance person right down to the detailers. We felt like we were important. The manager took time out to explain a lease to us since we had never done that. Not all managers take the time out to spend time with customers. We were highly impressed with everything,
Broke what they were supposed to fix. Had a transmission service today and they offered to adjust my headlights for free. But instead they broke them and then the service writer complained about doing a free service. Well it wasnt free as I had paid big dollars for the service and then they broke the headlight assembly. And now ( I ) have to buy a new head light assembly. Not them. Then yelled at me for it. Boy has the quality of service gone down hill since the buy out. Really sorry to see the new owners take over. No more friendly people there. Will never go back again unless their service also proves to be of poor quality and leaks develop. Which wont surprise me at all now.
Worked with Jeff, Collin, Jack and Riley on a Yukon listed on auto trader. We live near Ann Arbor, MI so we had to work the details of this deal almost entirely through phone, text and email. Jeff and his team worked tirelessly and never got frustrated with my questions and concerns. These long distance deals can be a pain but the SVG team handles it like a pro. When we said that Sunday would be the easiest for our family to make the three hour drive down they said sure and even came in on their day off to wrap up the deal and let us take delivery. They without a doubt earned a 5 star rating from our family. Highly recommend these guys if your in the central Ohio area and even if you’re not like us, they’re worth the trip.
SVG was at the top of their game during our transaction. All of our issues are with the contractor that performed the spray in bed liner, and undercoating of our new vehicle. SVG has stood by our side, going above and beyond during these events, going as far as to give us a demo car off their new line to drive while our truck is getting repainted/repaired. SVG has been remarkable in not only making us feel like family, but treating us as family as well. We will defiantly be referring everyone, and returning to SVG for all of our auto needs.
After contacting this dealership about a pre-owned vehicle we had been searching for, we were confident enough in the service we received (texting additional photos, answering questions, etc.) to drive 2 1/2 hours to see the vehicle. Tom was very helpful and a pleasure to work with! Everyone we met there was sincerely friendly, helpful, and appreciative of our business. We are very excited about our new car!
Easy to make an appointment for service. Able to have the appointment at my convenience. Friendly service. Smiles and hellos from non-service employees while I waited in the comfortable lounge area. Finished the service when they said they would. Discussed details of the service and answered any questions promptly and in a friendly way. Observed also how well they treated other customers. Nice experience.
I have never been more excited to get my vehicle back working. I trusted a small town mechanic shop to fix a problem which they ended up costing me $1,000 in repairs from the inexperience they have with GMC acadias. At SVG I was kept in the loop through the whole process and was put with one of the senior mechanics to fix all the issues the other garage caused. If I could give any advice at all it would be to use The certified mechanics that specialize in the make of your vehicle. If you have a Buick GMC or Chevrolet Urbana SVG would be the first place I would go. Thank you Mark for your patience and dedication!
My boyfriend and I were in the market for a vehicle, we stopped in and were greeted by a friendly salesperson. Told him what we were looking for and our price range... even told him we were pre-approved through our credit union. We even spoke to the manager (Jeff-the owners brother), who even said what we were looking for was not unreasonable. The salesperson took our contact information and we never heard from him again. Guess they didnt want our business. Well, needless to say, we bought TWO vehicles- not from them!!
I was communicating with an online representative for over two weeks via email. After being convinced that I would be driving home in a new car, I was disappointed to hear I actually would not. Not to mention I set a specific time that I would be visiting the dealership thinking I would be working with the saleswoman directly. However she was not present nor was it communicated about my scheduled appointment. I had even taken the day off from work to attend this meeting and sadly I can say, that I will not be back. Highly irritated and disappointed with the misleading conversation that had me convinced I would be able to drive away happy...
Bryce was very helpful and down to earth and sold me a car that I love after I had been turned down by previous places. GO SEE BRYCE AT SVG IN URBANA!!!!!UPDATE: SVG service center is also awesome! Got my certified car back in February and my water pump started leaking antifreeze. I took it in, they didnt think they could fit me in until the 22nd, they so kindly enough managed to fit me in and within 24hours I had my car back and back to normal at NO COST to me whatsoever. Thank you SVG Urbana!!!
Had interest in purchasing a new car. Left several messages over a 3 day time span. Never received a single call back. Even expressed my disappointment and informed them I would have to take my business elsewhere if they didnt make communication soon. I was told I would receive a call right back and to give him 5 minutes tops. That was almost 3 days ago and have since made my new car purchase elsewhere. Very disappointed since I enjoy shopping locally. Really need work in the communication and customer service area.
Came for my complimentary maintenance and was a few minutes late, they officially close the service department at noon on Saturday, but they went above and beyond and took the time out of their day to get me done. Most professional dealership in Ohio, and anywhere else Ive been. Customer for life, highly recommend... GET IN HERE!!!
If I could give these idiots no stars I would! This place is awful, very nice staff as far as our salesman and finance guys but that’s literally the only good thing I can say about this place. We bought a vehicle from the Urbana location and here we are over a month after leaving the lot with the car and we are still having issues with them. Not only did it take almost a month just to get our vehicle financed but they took payments out before there was even a bank financing the car, which should have never happened. Our 45 day tag expired before we got the memorandum title, which the title was still in the previous owners name by the way. After talking to the ladies at the title bureau apparently this is a common problem with SVG, so often in fact that they are handing out compliant packets for people to send into the state to get their license revoked if it continues to happen. The memorandum title coincidentally showed up the morning I called to complain, over 45 days later, so now we have to wait for SVG to put the title in their name first before we can even continue with the process of getting plates. The title should have been put In their name as soon as they had the car in their possession. Basically these guys cut any corners possible to cut costs, they are shady, and a HUGE lack of communication. I absolutely would not recommend buying a vehicle from this place unless you are prepared for nothing but issues.
My wife was contacted by SVG “financial department to inform her she was on the pull ahead for current lease. We set up an appointment to talk about new vehicle options, after filling out all he paper work we were informed by GM she was not on that list!! They presented fraudulent information and wasted our time. Very unprofessional and lied to get us in the door. Have been doing business a long time at Trenor motors but will never go back to SVG!! Watch out!!
This is an update to my previous post regarding selling a car to DVG Motors. Both Steve and Jeff VanGorder reached out to rectify the issue of the difference in price offered. Steve,Jeff and SVG Motors agreed to honor the price first offered. The process went smoothly after talking with them.
Do yourself a favor and keep on driving by this place. Went here with my girlfriend try and look at a car with her. Mind you - I used to sell new cars for Ford right out of high school and am now a well educated day trader for stocks and a nurse. I know how the game works in car sales. To start the experince the fact that jeff never returned my call to try in my attempt to save us a trip out there. I knew that we were in trouble when a salesman told her that she was approved when she applied online for a 2 yr old car with 350 ish payments - kicker coming - WITH A SCORE OF 530, over the phone at 24 % interest and even better...NO MONEY DOWN. Despite my protest of spinning her wheels by driving there on 8/11/19 - she insisted we go and find out.The car she wanted was a Kia Forte. We were advised upon arriving that the manager now doesnt want to sell the car anymore. I found it odd that the other Kia Shopping cart model he tried to put us in had only 8000 miles on it. Sure enough I wanted to see Carfax - yep, had been wrecked before. He said he was surprised when she popped the trunk and there sat a new radiator still in buble wrap - so much for how ever many point inspection. The salesman became aggravated because I went intto full on a##hole mode and advised him that no bank was going to take a chance on her like that and if so a 350 payment amd that after the $13000 Kia would now be a 20k car. This place is a joke...keep moving.
We recently purchased a new Silverado at SVG Urbana our salesman was Bryce White,he did a great job and found us the perfect truck.Bryce worked very close with his boss to get us the best finance deal and delivered the truck the same day. Go to Urbana and see Bryce get yourself a great deal
Thank you Jack Emrick and all the folks at SVG in Urbana that helped me to buy my car and for making it as stress free as possible! They all went above and beyond for me and I am greatly appreciative! I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new or used car.
Our family could buy a new Chevy truck from many Chevy dealerships and Iam sure that they would appreciate our business. Mike Hess from another SVG Motors dealership referred us to Urbana. We have always tried to buy locale, so we stopped at SVG motors in Urbana and was pleasantly greeted by Colin Shingleton who being new in sales was very attentive to all our questions and demonstrated to us a new Chevy Colorado. We were very happy with the staff and ownership of SVG Urbana. The owner Steve was there, he bought our lunch and also approved our deal. All that I can say is if you are in need of a vehicle give SVG motors in Urbana a try. Ask for Colin.
Horrible experience, even after talking to the owner Steve. Made an appointment with Brandon before going to the dealership and he wasnt even there when we arrived on time. The sales staff kept trying to talk my wife into a color that she didnt want! Literally had to repeat the only color she would purchase at least 15 times. After 2 and a half hours we walked out very disappointed. Would not recommend going to svg in urbana to anyone!
Wasted my time you took care of codes but did not do anything about the front end thats what I brought it in for..told you about hub on left front running very hot It should have been put on lift and check out hub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still makes a noise every once in awhile.....
Svg / Urbana, had a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful and they worked with me on getting my husband a truck and my daughter a vehicle at the same time. Just a thought tho, make sure you go in with a good attitude and ready to have fun. Svg is not like any other dealership. No stuff shirts allowed but family friendly and lots of laughs are allowed. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. Jeff, Gary, and Mario, Bob, I would like to say Thank you for helping me and working with me on everything you have done!!!!!! You all are totally awesome!!!!!Thanks, Anita and Duane S 😀 p.s.I would highly recommend svg to anyone I know to get a vehicle if they are in the market for one!!
I’ve been looking for a new vehicle, was recommended svg Urbana , I took a long shot and went ! Bryce White was the sales rep to help and he is fantastic! I needed a car in a very low budget and he made sure I walked away happy. I will definitely recommend Bryce at svg Urbana!
I was referred to svg in Urbana from a friend who had previously purchased a new vehicle them. I had a great experience while looking for a new vehicle. Bryce helped me with my buying experience and he was wonderful. I would highly recommend svg in Urbana if you are looking for a new vehicle.
The service dept. Is bad news. Got a call from A nice setv mgr offering to help. Heres a summary of complaints...have to schedule out of town, not loocally. My coupon said 12 point insp and rotate tires, neither was done. Ssked to chk motor mounts when we left, when picked up said we had to resched and pay a $99 diagnostic. S local mechanic found we were over a quart low transmission... added and checked everything for $30. In Fl we like Ferman GM service....
I have a toy truck that needed new tires. Truck was I storage for the season and they let me bring tires and rims to mount and balance and when I get truck out in spring I can bring back to check alignment that was paid for in the special they were running until the end of February. THATS GOOD BUSINESSTHANK YOU SVG MOTORS
Went in today to get an estimate on my Denali for a small spot that a really nice guy accidentally hit over the weekend. Rick, the body guy, came out and instead of just writing me up a $500 estimate took a rag and some special solution and wiped the marks right off. This guy deserves a raise! I was blown away by his honesty and effort! He said he hoped that in the future, if I ever really needed some body work done, I’d remember his gesture and come back. You are damn straight I will! Thanks, Rick at SVG!!!
A gentleman who knows his business is the customerCraig Rathbun made a favorable impression from our first phone conversation. His knowledge and ability to listen well became even more evident upon our first meeting at the new Urbana SVG site. I knew what I wanted, had done my research and took my time. Craig never flinched. He treated me like an intelligent woman and an equal. This is not something I have always experienced in my car purchasing over the last five decades. He made this purchase smooth and didnt overwhelm me or pressure me. Craig is an amazing asset to the team at Urbana SVG. Thank you Urbana SVG for my new Town and Country and for a gentleman like Craig Rathbun!
Took my new truck in for its 1st 5k miles service (3/15/19 @ 8:00am). I told the guy in SD (Big Guy) that there seems to be some vibration coming from front wheels. By telling him this, I would have thought that he would have recommended a balance check. He just said that they will be rotating the tires and to see if that makes better (WRONG). I have been driving for 45+ yrs and if a new car/truck has vibration coming from the front tires it normally means one or both tires need re-balanced, not just put on the rear so you dont feel the vibration.I noticed that when the technician doing the work put the lug nuts back on, he did not use a torque stick or torque wrench to ensure the nuts are all on based GM specifications. When I asked the SD guy what was the recommended foot pounds, he responded that the impact gun is set to those specification and never even told me what the number was. FYI: not torqueing lug nuts down correctly & evenly on front disc brake rotors can cause the rotors to warp. when this happens, then they need turned which make them thinner and even more prone to warpage. Just for the record it is 140 ft pounds. I would be surprised if he knows that.
Called about a car I saw on Autotrader at 3:30 on Saturday 11/11/17. The customer service rep confirmed it was available and set an appointment with Brandon for 4:25. She said she’d send me a text following the call but that never happened (Customer Service Failure #1). But I decided to drive in anyways (20 minutes drive). When I got there, no one could find the car. After 15 minutes of being asked to wait while they figured it out, they told me the service department lent it out as a loaner (Customer Service Failure #2). I wasted an hour of my day. I have 3 cars to buy in the next 2 years due to new drivers in my family and aging vehicles. They lost the opportunity to sell 3 vehicles to me!
I bought a car from svg motors, I thought it was a good deal, I bought the extended warranty (good thing I did)The electric fan went out, then the technician said my condenser was bad also, they did replace the parts that were bad, but they unplugged my 2 front lights, I called them and wanted to charge me to fix them IT WAS THERE FAULT THAT THE LIGHTS DID NOT WORK,,,,,, WRONG, BAD SERVICE, DISGRACE AND DISRECTFULL, I AM A VETERAN THATS NOT HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE
Shout out to Jess Gaston for hookin my momma up with a slick clean an safe chevy malibu limited LT she was very dedicated and dependable to us in our search for a reliable vehicle definitely conciderate honest and true to her word! Yall talk to Jess Gaston for ur auto needs you definitely wont regret it!
I drove in with my beat up old 2004 Cavalier, drove away with a brand new 2017 Chevy Cruze. After being treated poorly at the Jeff Smicht in Fairborn. I was a little learly of being a young female going into a car lot on her own. They were awesome, most car lots try to take advantage of you they did everything I wanted. Even helped me pick out a decent car, I highly suggest them. Especially COLIN HE WAS AWESOME and so caring and understanding and extremely helpful. Couldnt be happier with my purchase.
Terrible went to Urbana Ohio to pickup truck and purchase from Richmond a guy named Nathan said well be there waiting got there they said they sent it to Greenville. Nobody knows whats going on so were going back home without a vehicle very upset this is the second time its happened oh our internet people arent keeping up with our management or something were sorry. Hopefully were going to go by Greenville in the truck didnt sell were taking another chance with SVG but itll be the last time.
Im revising my review. Jeff and Bryce are busting their butts and trying every trick in the book to get me into a new truck. They are not taking no for an answer. If you want a dealership that will fight for you, talk to Jeff and Bryce. Update they did it. Drove my new 2018 GMC canyon 4x4 home tonight.
I cant say enough good about SVG! They will work with you till they find a solution!! They are there to answer any question you might have and they act like you are the only there looking for a vehicle. I would recommend them to anyone. Check them out you wont regret it.
The sales department I never have a issue with. But was trying to get a part for my car in the service department and they told me for over 200 dollars that it came with more parts that I didnt need and we explain that to them. They told us that no one sales it that way. Well they were wrong hmmmm Auto Zone got our business because the part we were asking about they sold us and it was 100.00 and guess what my car runs now. So you guys lost my business in the service part and I had taken my car to you guys a lot before and no more now.

2022-03-19Visited SVG Urbana March 18, 2022 with my son as he began his first dealership car purchase search. We had comparison shopped on-line before visiting and there was one vehicle that fit his parameters on the Urbana lot. We were greeted by Adam Newman before we even parked our car, with a big grin and a hearty welcome. We told him what we were there to see and it was so new to the lot that it had bot even been detailed yet. Even so, Adam let us see it, test drive and had the finance manager write up a buyers order for us to take to my sons credit union (because SVG does not work with Wright-Patt Credit Union directly, which is very strange in my opinion). Took the papers to the bank, finalized paperwork and picked up a perfectly detailed, low mileage, 2016 Ford Escape for a competitive price in todays outrageous market.Adam made the process very easy for a person who had never purchased through a dealership before. He explained the paperwork well and answered all of our questions about the car and the buying process. He made it his mission to figure out how the remote start on the vehicle worked and generally made my son and I both feel good about this purchase from start to finish. All of the dealership employees we spoke with were engaging and friendly, though the finance manager could work on his customer service interaction skills a bit. He made me very glad that my son had already been pre-approved for financing elsewhere, as he did not seem as friendly after her ran the credit (as we had no idea that a hometown dealer would not be working with a hometown credit union, or we would not have bothered to have the dealer even run the application).Overall, the car buying experience at SVG Urbana was great. Adam Newman was a stellar salesman, and I absolutely recommened that you ask for him, by name, if you are looking to purchase a car in the Urbana, OH and surrounding area.

2022-02-17I was very pleased that the Service Scheduler advised me of the price for the items I was considering to have changed before the work was performed. He also gave me a report on the condition of the engine filter which definitely need changed. We also discuses when I should consider having the fuel system serviced. This was a very positive experience.

2022-03-15We worked with Thomas Hudson on a potential car purchase. He was very friendly, personable, and really took the time to get to know us, hear our needs and work with us to find the best possible option in our budget. I would recommend any car purchase at this dealership, as the whole staff was wonderful and welcoming.

2022-05-28SVG made the process of selling our car fast and easy. The staff was very friendly, the offer was fair, and we will definitely consider them first when buying or selling another vehicle in the future.

2022-05-14This place was 41 miles from my house. I asked them about a specific car and they asked me if I wanted to come in. When I got there the car I had asked about wasn’t even available! They tried to talk me into buying a 10000 car. They also said the 2007 Hyundai was in very bad shape…well why wouldn’t you tell me that in the text before I drive 41 miles to look at that specific car! Also, why list it on car guru as being available? They told me it was in their shop that conveniently closed at noon! Places like this are why I hate, absolutely hate car shopping!
