There was confusion due to an online ordering service so I ended up with two large orders of pho.😅 The broth was rich and not over salted. I could taste the anise and clove maybe cinnamon. Lots of meat and fresh bean sprouts and basil for topping. The noodles and toppings were packed separately from the broth so they werent overcooked when ingot home. There was so much I had to put it in my largest bowl.🍜😋I asked for extra spicy and they threw in some extra jalapeños. Fortunately I had spicy peppers at home. The order was ready in about 10 minutes after I placed the order and was waiting for me when I walked in. I would definitely eat here again.
I’ve been eating at Superior Pho for at least 15 years. It is ALWAYS amazing in regards to food quality. Best pho ever, no contest, and I’ve been to at least 30 pho restaurants in different states/places that are known for such. Most of the time the staff is fine, but today (11/2/21) the service was awful. Lots of time texting on the phone, never asked if things were fine or if we needed anything else. He seemed very disgruntled to be there in general and had attitude. Not a thank you or anything of that sort. If I was including the service today into my overall review I’d give Superior a 4/5. The food as always is a 10/10 and historically the staff is great. Hopefully the service issue doesn’t continue.
Atmosphere: Hole in the wallFood: Fantastic!Price: Fair/cheapOverall: Go, go, go!Ill start off with this place is BEHIND the stores on Superior Ave. It took me 3 times walking around and also entering the WRONG RESTAURANT (#1 Pho) to figure out where it was. This site is truly a hole in the wall fashion with fantastic food.I went with a group of some of my closest friends here and we all ordered something different.I ordered the Pho Dac Biet, noodle soup with all-listed meats, and loved it! The broth was pleasantly warm/hot, noodles were packed with flavor, and the meat was great! (I used about half the bean sprouts available and both lime wedges.)My friends ordered the shrimp fried rice and the spicy curry stir fry and both were packed with flavor. Absolutely delicious.I would also highly recommend the Jasmine Tea as well. Its only $1 extra and they bring out a whole pot for you. It made my experience so much more enjoyable to sit around after and ccd at over hot tea.Overall, I loved it. The atmosphere made me feel like I had discovered a secret gem within Cleveland even though this restaurant has received raving reviews and is widely renowned for its deliciousness. Will definitely be going back!
Backed by countless awards from years of service, Superior Pho is arguably the best pho place in America. Hidden on E 31st in Cleveland, this Korean restaurant boast authentic and great tasting Pho. Everything is fresh, the broth has a strong flavor and compliments the meat and noodles. The noodles are the perfect texture and are my favorite part of the meal. I swear I can eat nothing but the soup and noodles all day and Ill be happy. But what tops it off is the meat, no matter what protein you choose, it adds greatly to the meal. Blah blah blah, stop reading this and treat yourself right to the best Pho in Ohio.
More like a 3.5; Solid food, bad service and ambiance. I got the chicken cabbage salad which was quite tasty, mainly due to the dressing. I dont have much experience with chopsticks and there arent any forks on the table. I ate almost all my salad with the chopsticks but it was getting hard for me towards the end so I asked for a fork and she just seemed annoyed that I asked. I know its Asiatown, but its also America and forks are the norm here. The place isnt aesthetically pleasing whatsoever either. I would probably never go back.
We were feeling a little “head cold”-y and got Pho delivered from Uber Eats. It is SOO good!! I got chicken - super fresh, and my husband got the beef and is loving it. We also got shrimp spring rolls and chicken vermicelli, but those will be for lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend!!!
I….don’t get it. How did this place won several awards from Yelp?? The pho was just OK at best. Trust me, i had tons of Pho from all over places….this place was just OK. Not worth the drive. And the people from kitchen took a break and sat around us, he burped so loud 🤦♂️
First time getting pho, we ordered Goi Cuon, a large Pho Tai, and a large Pho Dac Biet. Total came out to around $33. The rice paper on the Goi Cuon is very gummy and thick. The Pho was flavorful, great, and there was plenty left over. I cant say Ill order the Goi Cuon again, but for first timers I would recommend going straight to the Pho so you have a chance at finishing it.
Wow, where to start. Place is a DUMP! Also, it didnt help that in the middle of February the heat was off or not working correctly, so I spent lunch in my winter coat! Service was average at best-slow (as the proverbial molasses), non-attentive but polite. Food was OK, but nothing special with a lot of filler meat in the bowls. Really NO reason to visit this place when there are so many better choices close by (Number One Pho, Map of Thailand, etc.).
This place is the go to for Pho in Cleveland. You get a five star treatment from the attentive staff. You’ll also get a five star meal no matter what you order. My favorite order is the combination pho #3 which has steak and brisket. It’s amazing. The mango strawberry bubble tea is also on point. By far the best Pho in Cleveland and I’ve been to plenty of places.
Superior Pho was interesting and full of flavor! The location is almost like a hidden haven. I took my father there who is pretty picky about his food choices. He didnt know what to expect so I ordered for him. I ordered two meal #10 and ice tea. That is the 7C Vietnamese sandwich and Phó of choice. We both got the eye round steak. The broth had good flavor as a base. Once I added oyster sauce, sprouts and a squeeze of lime it was over the top! They only offer one type of Bahn mi which I was kinda upset about but all the flavors were delicious. You could taste the sweet and tanginess of the pickled daikon carrots. The fresh jalapenos slices and delicious cuts of pork. It was a great experience for my father and I. He loved every bite! I was Supremely surprised. Check it out. I will definitely have this food again.#DiamondSquad
The food is always delicious. This restaurant is my favorite place in all Ohio. Today though, I was taken back by the wonderful service so much so that I thought I should write review. The service is always good, but today it meant so much to be greeted by Haileys shining customer service skills and kindness. She made my hard month so much better, by just being genuine.Superior Pho is superior in every way. Everyone should give it a go!
Wow! What an new experience of delicious new food. The size I got was small and it was the #2 on the menu. The was steak slices added and they have many other options. The raspberry bubble tea was great. Sweet, cool, and fun to drink. There is good parking in the back where you enter. Service was fast and staff was nice. Great place for a light lunch.
There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how phenomenally delicious the food/drinks are at this place. The Pho has been mastered and the broth is exemplary. The bubble tea (lychee) is one of the best Ive had in my life thus far in the USA. Will forever come back to this place whenever I am able and have a craving for Pho and Vietnamese eats. Cheers!
Superior Pho is easily the best pho resturant in all of Ohio. I have been here many times. Each time I eat here they have always been on point and never gotten my order wrong. If you havent tired them, do yourself and your stomach a favor get the pho with everything in it and a banh mi (pronounced bun me) Their shakes are amazing too! After you eat here you will see why they are superior to those that clame to be number 1.
Pho, Vietnamese sandwich, and the vermicelli noodles are very good. I weirdly can never find good spring rolls at restaurants but the spring rolls here are good. Ill also get thai tea bubble tea and while I do like it, it does taste a bit watery but thats not stopping me from getting it each time lol. Service is quick and they are friendly.
The pho is good. I ordered a small and it’s plenty. Summer rolls were pretty disappointing they only put mint in them. Would be better if they added lettuce and carrot at least. The peanut sauce was good. Was not a fan or the marinated pork way too sweet. I ordered the sandwich with the pork would definitely try with beef next time. Other than the pork the sandwich was delicious. Great bread.
Superior Pho is just that ...Superior. The spring rolls are fresh and delcious like eating a slice of sunshine with its fresh rice paper wrap and luscious mouthful of mint. The peanut dipping sauce is so dippable I cant dip enough!. The Pho broth is rich and spiced just right toss in the bright jelly green jalapenos, squeeze a couple of limes dash soy and siracha liberally into your steaming bowl of meat and noodles! Ah...Superior pho shure.
If you’re not looking, you can miss it! Such an awesome hole in the wall. The pho is hands down some of the best I’ve had besides homemade at my in-laws. My husband and I didn’t even talk because we were too busy eating and drinking our pho. Lol We also had a bahn mi sandwich. The bread was steamed and soft, which is a rarity with French bread. The meat was slightly sweet, but had a hint of spice. So so so good! Highly recommend!
LOVE SUPERIOR PHO! Though it’s not convenient for me from where I live. But when I visit my friend who lives only 2 blocks away from Superior Pho, I most always get an order to go! Super delicious pho 🍜 the best chicken fried rice I’ve ever eaten, and the shrimp rice rolls with sauce... MMM 😋 oh so good! Tasty Lychee bubble tea 🧋 also!
Unfortunately had to dock some stars because their service was poor the last time we tried to eat here. We where immediately seated and then ignored for 20 minutes. We ended up leaving because we where hungry and needed to eat. We never even got our order in. I understand that the dinner rush can be busy, but they should have just told us to wait until they where ready to serve us.Any other time I’ve ordered online, the food is delicious and on time. So this spot is great, but I wish that the dine in experience was a tad better.
Best Pho in CLE!Asia Town in Cleveland has some unmistakable gems. There is plenty of Pho to be found in Cleveland, but none better than Superior Pho. If you dont believe me, just take it from the wall of awards that all start with the words BEST IN CLEVELAND in years ranging from 2007 to present. Im just sayin!!
Excellent food for what you should be ordering, will be going again. Best Pho since I lived in detroit. I got the combination meats. Chicken salad was great. Fried spring rolls were great. Would avoid their vegetable melody it was just steamed frozen veges. Fried rice is less than average. Was great service however it was near closing and I think my waiter went off shift at the end of my meal. Priced reasonably.
Great food! The sandwich and pho combo was tasty, hot, and made fast. The two gentlemen who helped us out were friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely come again. Manage your expectations for how the place looks inside, this is not a chain restaurant and prices are low.
From out of town and saw this place. Enough to satisfy your urge but doesn’t have authentic meats such as tendon and tripes that I’m used to. No chili oils and seem it’s catering to Caucasian. The owner is telling you the chili oil doesn’t go with my pho?? Hello, I’m the pho guy! And you can’t tell customers what is good or not. Also I guess not much competition
We came to get the Bahn Mi from out of state. Easy to find and ample parking. Both are a thing here in Cleveland. We were waited on quickly and the sandwiches are authentic with pate. They were very good. The beef pho was also good. Ordered some veggies on the side lol I think they were bagged frozen. The server never brought our drinks out. It was busy in their defense. We never saw him again after our food came out to ask for it again. No worries though; recommend a stop if this fare is your jam.
I was not greeted when I walked in. I said “Hello! Table for one please.” The server sat me, without speaking. Shortly after I ordered a combination meal of small pho, summer rolls and iced tea. I received my food quickly but the tea was forgotten. The pho was fairly good. The summer roll had a hair in it so I set it aside. The server never checked in to ask how I was enjoying everything. When I cashed out I asked if the summer roll could be removed and the server said “Well I wish you had told me.” He called over the owner and the owner said I could have a roll to-go but I am on the go and wouldn’t be able to take it home so I asked if I could have a coffee instead and they told me they would have to charge me more for a coffee. Eventually took $1 off of my bill. No hospitality what so ever.
There is no better pho in the greater Cleveland area. Very authentic. Great options. VERY prompt service. You really cant go wrong here. I usually hate finding parking in these areas, but they have a nice lot out back that is easy to find and navigate. I am always impressed with this restaurant!
Major disappointment. No longer a place that should continue being in business nor label top Vietnamese restaurant. The service was HORRIFIC & unprofessional- no standards. The food is low quality and they lost their drive and passion for authentic quality food. Far too many places in Cleveland that are underrated and better quality. Lastly sanitation is questionable and they need a visit from the health department.
Tasty as always! This was out first dining out experience since lockdown began. We were vaccinated and ready to try dining out again, and we were really craving pho. So glad we came. The waiter was pleased when i ordered the taro bubble tea and said it was his favorite :)
The food tastes bad. The spoon has detergent stain on it so complaint to manager. Also watch out they will have surprise charges on your bill as well. We asked for a pho with tendon and tripe on menu and when they come they charged us $8 extra. But they did not inform us it will be extra. Being a pho lover wherever we go they have a pho with tendon and trip included. This restaurant is very Different.
Love the food!! But your employees lack in customer service. They’re not as attentive as they should be. We should not have to go looking for them, for more water or a Togo box! As an experienced server, I find that very annoying!!! They should also leave their phones off the floor!!
The pho was ok, i would pass on the fried pork rolls, the service was good by the two young men. When I was able to get their attention they did a good job. They do need more training regarding making sure lt is going well during the meal. I was not impressed with the owner at all he chose not to wear a mask which sets an example for his employees.
Favorite restaurant love this place. Have been going for almost 10 years. I have tried Pho from several in the area and this is by far my favorite. The Pho is delicious the sandwiches along with the spring rolls are phenomenal all the stuff I have tried has been top notch. Bubble tea is fun to drink along with tons of options. The owner is very polite and the staff is always friendly. Only downside is the public restroom. No bueno
We took it to go but ate it right away. Serving size was typical, meat quality was good, quantity was average to on the small size. Price for me was higher than I was used to and with all the reviews, we were expecting better. Broth was super average, just don’t know what else to say about it.
Over the past two days I’ve heard and/or had several people mention/recommend Superior Pho. I am glad I paid attention and tried it first hand. The #1 meal with # 1 Pho (beef brisket), summer roll and iced tea was just what the doctor ordered. The Pho was flavorful. The brisket was tender. The peanut dipping sauce was smooth and creamy. The iced tea was a good pairing. A good sized meal for late lunch on a cool Sunday. Another meal that makes you feel good afterwards. Just try it. You’ll be happy glad you did.
Ate here at the recommendation of a friend who frequents this restaurant. The building is not nice, there are several businesses in it, but the restaurant itself is clean while sparsely decorated. They restrooms are shared with the whole building and are highly not recommended. The food, however, is fantastic. Im not a pho expert, but it was the best Ive ever had. The meat was well prepared, the noodles were very good, and the broth was very flavorful.
I’m in town for business. I’d been craving a bowl of noodles all week. Stumbled on supreme pho. I opted for take out due to covid. My ordered: pho, fresh spring rolls, and fried spring rolls...So, I’ve been on a quest for good grill pork spring rolls for quite some time. That being said, don’t waste your time on these, the fresh spring roll didn’t really seem very fresh. Found browned mint and lettuce inside cold roll. Pretty good bowl of pho. The fried spring rolls were the star though. Def get those added to your order.
I dont understand why everyone likes this place so much, maybe Im coming at the wrong time. I came here for dinner two times and got the number 2 Pho both times. For both, the noodles were too soft and the broth didnt have much flavor. The beef also had an overpowering taste of onions and left a powdery taste in my mouth. This all just made an all around bad tasting Pho. I would honestly not recommend it.Aside from the food, the service was great and the staff was very friendly! As a silver lining, the food came out quickly and we did not have to wait long at all.
The pho noodle soup dishes are so good here. The broth really got a lot better since I last visited. Noodles are cooked to perfection, not too soft or hard. I like that they provide small bowls, for those days that you just want a lighter lunch. Very good. Highly recommend.
To me best pho in greater cleveland area. Ive had pho in Vietnam. All northern. Some of the best in Hanoi. Little stools, motor bikes whizzing through the alley, on the street, the good stuff... And this is definitely the closest around to the flavors. The Bun bo hue was good, but not very spicy. The bahn mi is good. Id like a little more pate, and the veggies a little more pickled, but the bread was good which is key.All said. It doesnt take me right back there, but it is the best in CLE.
I wouldnt go anywhere else for a bowl of pho. The best pho in town. Fast friendly service. Always leave satisfied and hugged by their pho broth.I wouldnt even travel back to Vietnam over Superiors pho.Only negative comment.. Bun bo Hues noodles were all broken up. I did mention it to staff. Not a popular item on menu as their southern Vietnamese pho but you should give it a try. Note: spicier broth
If I could give them no stars I would have! Terrible service! Witnessed the owner I believe berating one of the waitresses publicly! What a piece of sh*t But the waitress got her two cents in too, which the owner definitely deserved! I won’t ever be back there or any of my downtown coworkers!
Superior Pho has expanded its location in the last 2 years. I have been here every so often, and I have to say that every time Ive been here, I have not yet once been disappointed. I like it a lot better when there isnt a line out the door because then you dont feel like you are being rushed to eat your meal.
I never visited this place pre-pandemic, so I can only speak to my experience today. We went inside at 4:00 p.m. on a Sunday as the only patrons in the entire restaurant. Our waiter seemed to be asleep in a chair but came to alert as we walked in. The service was pretty normal among pho places Ive been to, no one refilled the water or checked on us at any point until we were finished. The odd part started when we tried to order. They said they have no tendon, despite it being listed on the website. Then they told me they have no bun bo hue, which was on the menu in my hand. The appetizers arrived quickly but the spring rolls were hard and tasted freezer burned, while the meatball rice paper rolls had so little meat Im not even sure one meatball went into each one.The pho was incredible. I can see why people rave about this place. The broth is top notch. The brisket was superb as well. The meatball was hard and the rare beef was extra well done. Would go back and order the brisket pho again but considering it was an hour commute, we will likely try a lot of other places nearby before venturing back again.
I looked for something new to do in Cleveland and I found it. I like bowl meals and there are several to get here. Dont get the large unless you are really hungry. Food was absolutely delicious, service was amazing, and the place is clean. If you go, bone up on your chopsticks use. I was about the only one using a dork. The staff was good about it and I didnt feel bad for using a dork, but Ill be using chopsticks the next time.
By far the best Pho Ive had in CLE! The price to portion ratio is insane. I did not expect to pay $10 for almost 1.5-2 serving of delicious food! Superior Pho does it right! The broth has all the flavor I need to comfort thy soul. I add some sriracha as the cherry on top :) If you are ever looking for quality Pho, come here!
Superior pho is a great place to grab lunch or to sit down with a group of friends and have a drink. They have great Vietnamese food and delicious sandwiches. Ive been able to go there several times and the quality of the food remains superb every time. It is definitely a place to visit if you have a taste for Vietnamese food.
The food was great. To be honest, the services needs a lot of works. The easiest thing they could do was to refill the water. I had to wait to finish my food before I could get another cup of water. Ridiculous. The old man who I assumed is the owner, was just there not even checking on their customers. Instead, he was just to busy flirting with one of the waiters.
The most recent experience at Superior Pho, there was a crazy line out the door. We ordered our food and it came within 15 minutes, but the one drink we ordered never made it. When it came close to finish eating, my friend insisted that I didnt say anything about that drink and she will still pay for it, but I couldnt watch her be upset about it and have that memory be in the back of her mind of this place. I flagged the server down when she was walking by and politely mentioned, My friend never got the drink she ordered and we are done eating now.
Overall, an underwhelming experience. The bowls of pho were small and the broth was under flavored and too sweet. The cuts of meat were not that great, either. Some pieces of the well done rib eye were way too chewy. They also dont have a special combination option, which is disappointing.
This place is so delicious. I should have taken a before picture but it didn’t last long enough. I know a place is yummy when it makes me hum while I’m eating. This place did just that. Small space but everyone is spaced out and it was clean and comfortable. Added to my favorites list.
The food at Superior Pho is frankly delicious. The noodle soup are delicious. All the ingredients seem very fresh. This is one of the best restaurants in Cleveland. Given the very fair price, its also one of the best values. The bottom line is that the food is delicious.
Although food was delicious, our order was incorrect. We used the delivery service, DoorDash, and we were impressed with how quickly the food had arrived. We ordered, one chicken Pho, fresh spring rolls, bahn mi, and three Veggie Pho but received them with raw beef over our noodles. We also ordered fried veggie spring rolls but it arrived with pork in it. We ordered online and indicated in the special instructions not to include meat in those items.Everything was delicious and we will definitely consider ordering again, but we will probably have to call over the phone to ensure our requests are understood.
I had travelled to Vietnam more than dozen times and visited quite a bit different types of pho restaurants both chain and local vendors. In this restaurant, soup is really flavorful and authentic, its quite similar to the pho that I had during my trips to Vietnam. My feeling is more likely central Vietnam in which preferred. In the South, you will get pho on the sweet side.
One of Cleveland’s best kept secrets; great service, short wait times (even during peak dinner hours), and amazing pho.If this is your first time going, be aware that the restaurant is located inside of the building alongside other businesses and is NOT #1 Pho which is located a few doors down... I am guilty of mistakenly going there initially when looking for Superior Pho.
What do you do when a place that provides excellent food has a cockroach climbing up the wall? In my case I give them 3 stars and this review. The food was excellent. However, the stripped down design of the restaurant now seems to be designed around catching vermin easily. I didnt take pictures because there was nothing to take a picture of, just white walls, floor to ceiling.I hope the owners read this, because out of hundreds of reviews, I have only been exposed to cockroaches twice. So you are doing something wrong and risking the health of your patrons by doing so.Please fix it. Extermination seems to be established science, with cockroaches being so rare. Spend some of money you are earning from selling more expensive pho than your competitors around the corner on fixing it.
I’ve been here many times and never had an issue but today was the first time for a bad experience. We ordered at 5:19 two bowls of pho nothing crazy. We see new customers come in and they get their food before us sandwiches and pho and maybe something happened so I don’t say anything to be patient. At one point no more customers and everyone has their food except us. None of the workers there asked us if we had our food yet or anything. Until I said something we didn’t get our food until 6:10 and everyone else who arrived ate and left before we got our food.Unacceptable. Waiter apologized and said he got the orders mixed up. That is understandable but as waiters and waitresses you never came to us to ask if we needed more water or progress on the food. Nothing.Hope next trip is better than this
There are no words that can properly describe how delicious Superior #1 Pho is. The only downside is this place has ruined all other pho for me. Ive tried to get pho at other restaurants, but nothing lives up to the magic of Superior #1. Everything on the menu is absolutely top notch. Only go here if youre prepared to have your standards raised to an otherwise unattainable level.
I moved out of Cleveland a year ago, but when I visited the city again a couple months ago I HAD to come back to Superior Pho twice to order their #9.This place has the best pho I have ever had in North America, and many of my friends agree. We have collectively tried pho places in most major cities as well as in some small towns in the US and Canada. I dont think any place is superior to Superior Pho.
Amazing! Went to #1 pho because superior was closed and boy was that a mistake. Superior is well, superior. The pho broth has a deep rich flavor, the spring rolls light and flakey, and the bubble tea filled with soft boba tapioca balls. My husband and I move a lot. We had a favor pho place back in kansas city that no other place has really beat, until now. Very memorable flavor ! Would highly recommend!! Dont be put off by the location.
Tucked into a building called Golden Plaza. Very fast service and the food was really good. Friend said it was the best pho hes ever had. Food prices were very low and the portions are huge! Restaurant was very packed and I can see why. Server was friendly and helpful.
Small location that is a bit tucked away. However, the journey is worth it! I had Hot Stone Bi Bim Bop which was extremely tasty with a local twist on the flavor profile. The interio of the restaurant is very low-frills but also clean (which is the important part). Restaurant had no issues accommodating our party of 8 but it was a week night- not sure how busy they are on weekends.
I was really excited for the pho here since it was so highly rated, but the place is a bit neglected. I wasnt even sure that they were open at first, but we did manage to get in and get seated. The pho was pretty decent, but not super remarkable. I was really sad that my partner was trying to order some shredded pork and rice, but the menu wasnt very clear. We asked for assistance from the waitress, but she didnt speak much English, so she got another waitress, who didnt listen and said yes, it is pork, but didnt explain what the dish was. When it came out, it smelled like rotten eggs and vinegar mixed with some other awful smells. It almost made us all lose our appetite (we had to move it away from our table). No one asked how it was or if we wanted something else, so she left without eating. When I went to leave (no bill was provided) I had to ask for it at the register (apparently all too common), I explained the situation to the (2nd) waitress (who was also the cashier) that the dish was not as expected. The cashier/2nd waitress said oh, yeah, Im not surprised, no one likes that dish. I was shocked that she didnt mention that when we asked about it before ordering. They made no effort to make it right in any way and only said bye. I cant recommend this restaurant in good faith for their okay pho and indescribably rancid smelling pork dish.
We go here minimum bi weekly. Love the owner. Love Josh, when hes there, lol. We went to all other phase in east Cleveland to downtown, by FAR this is THE BEST freakin Pho!! I get the #9 extra large and taro bubble tea. And their bubble teas are not runny, unlike other places! Top notch. I want some right now!
First time here the Bun Bo Hue was good. But second time the soup changed. Taste bland and not like Bun Bo Hue at all. They forgot my friends order and I was half way done with my own dish when they brought his out (I had to remind a waitress there about it). I wont come back.
One of the best Pho places in town and possibly almost anywhere else. The quality of the food is superb, the staff is great and the locale perfect. Its somewhat hidden in the back of a building that youd never notice without google maps or being a local, but its well worth finding. Bahn Mi is one of the best.
It is widely agreed upon that Superior Pho makes the best pho in Cleveland. What I believe makes their pho stand out is the exceptionally rich and flavorful broth, the freshness of all the ingredients, and the generous portions. One thing I like about this location is the fast service. In my experience, I have always been served a bowl of steaming delicious pho within 10 minutes of sitting down, sometimes even within 5. The employees are friendly, and have always made me feel welcome during my visits.Superior Pho may not be in the best part of town, and it may not be the nicest building, but the restaurant is well taken care of and always clean. The immediate area seems to be safe and there is a designated parking lot behind the building. If you have never tried pho, you are truly missing out. If you are searching for a place to eat, Superior Pho is simply the best choice for this style of food. It is truly one of Clevelands hidden gems.
We had the number 1 and the number 2 pho, and the 7C Banh MI Thit sandwich. We dined inside the restaurant.Service and FOOD was absolutely AMAZING!It was a really memorable experience. The table of 2 women next to us, one of the fellow patrons of the restaurant picked up the girls tab for them. This place has MEGA COOL and HUMBLE VIBES!You can’t beat this place. The freshness of our food was off the charts fantastic! 11/10 all around. The bean sprouts are SO GOOD! Such healthy eating choices going on here, you can’t beat it.
The hype is all true: Superior Pho is the place to be! A couple of times per month, my husband and I drop in for a quick dinner or Friday-night take-out and its consistently delightful. Everything is fresh, homemade, full of flavor, and so affordable! Our perennial favorites are the Summer Rolls (4A), Noodle Salad (1B), Brisket Pho, Bahn Mi, and Curried Beef with Broken Rice. Whatever you choose, though, you simply cant go wrong!
This pho house is supposedly superior to all the rest?!?! But coming to try out the best, it seems inferior to the quality an award winning restaurant should possess.First lets start with the broth. With great pho, the broth has to be rich and flavorful where hoisin and siracha shouldnt be needed to enrich the soup. It was very diluted that you couldnt see the tinge of a rich broth.Having ordered an XL sized bowl, youd expect a bigger bowl w/ a good ratio of broth/noodles as well as meats. But come to my surprise, it was just a deeper bowl with a bit more noodles and less broth than the size of a regular.I also ordered hot Viet coffee. They had the traditional drip but the coffee cup was a plastic soda cup!?!? I had to ask for more hot water because you only got about 2 ounces of coffee. As for service, there was a lot of personnel standing around, joking behind the cash register. Only the runners and bussers were working. Took a couple minutes to get service even when standing in front of the register.Cleanliness- looking around and especially up^! Youd be surprised how they passed health inspections. Lots of accumulated dust on the lighting fixtures. If a gust of wind was to come by, youre guaranteed to be covered in a cloud.Overall, this pho place has gotten many awards over the years only to degrade and forget what true pho should taste like. Do yourself and favor and go elsewhere.
I finally wanted to go and try pho and found this one that was highly recommended on the internet. And for once the internet was super right! The restaurant is cozy, staff is friendly. The food...where do I begin? Tasty, is only the beginning. The flavor of the broth is full but at the same time leaves you with a light feeling. The cuts of beef for the soup is well chosen and prepared amazing and brings out the best of all of the cuts; and worth every cent if you have a big appetite for double meat. The noodles are prepared to right tenderness, and you get to add the toppings as you like with the fresh bean sprouts, mint and jalapeno. This soup also leaves me feeling like a kid of being at home. Especially when sick it helps a whole almost even more than homemade chicken soup. I also like the way they make their bubble tea.
Their pho is tasty. I dont have any complain about that. But, the place is dirty. I had tried to ignore this issue, since I like their pho. However, in my last visit a critical problem did happen. All the spoons in a spoon holder on my table were dirty with small pieces of noodles on them. It was disgusting. I called for the owner and showed them to him. He asked a staff to take the spoons back to kitchen. But, he didnt apologize. Nobody apologize. Even worse, they treated us rudely after that. They even didnt bring water only to our table before I asking and kept quiet when I made a payment at the counter. I will not go back there again, since my stomach now refuses to digest their pho.
Great place for pho, although I almost always go for the marinated pork over dirty rice. My wife always gets pho. The small bowl is plenty big enough for her. The large bowl is enormous. Dont be confused by #1 Pho which is nearby and more visible from the street. Park behind the strip mall and use the back entrance.
Food is okay for Clevelands standard. You dont get much service here even though it is a sit down restaurant and youre expected to tip. The most annoying thing about this place is they rush you to order. It doesnt matter if they are busy or not. They dont pay attention to the fact that youre still clearly looking at the menu trying to decide what to order. They came three times to take our orders within minutes of sitting down when we were still looking at the menu. The boss/owner is always siting at the table by the door, drinking his wine and watching the employees.
Amazing food and incredible service. I am a frequent customer. Once I went in to get my usual tamarind soup and they said they were sadly out of tofu. As I was leaving the owner asked if I would wait for him to run out and get tofu (of course I was). If you haven’t been, I highly recommend you try it!
Awesome. We go often. They are great with kids. I still have not had Pho anywhere else that even compares. Ok, maybe only one place, when we were on vacation. Certainly not one nearby though. Its been awhile & we need to go back soon. Do not confuse this place with No. 1 Pho, I think its called. Its very near, but doesnt compare. Srry, guys.
Fresh broth with a multitude of protein options. Adjust the flavor and strength of your broth by adding the provided jalapenos and by crushing the thai basil between your fingers to release the aromatic oils before adding it to your bowl. Need more veg or basil? Just ask. Quicker service available during non-peak meal times. Good parking available behind restaurant with accessible rear entrance.
Best pho in Cleveland, in my opinion. menus have no pictures, so do your research as inexperienced pho consumers may have a difficult time finding the right kind of dish for your taste. there is a wide range of tastes here. not the most elegant or romantic setting, but the flavors will more than make up for the setting.
My family and I came in towards the end of the night and they were definitely busy at the time. The host quickly accommodated us and our waiter was amazing. Banh mi, pho and the boba drinks were delicious. The boba drinks were fresh and perfect. I will be back soon for more!
One of my first experiences with pho and I certainly wasnt disappointed. Ended up getting the #8 pho Tai nam Gau and would recommend it to others. Add just enough of the sweet brown sauce and plenty of Sriracha (enough to make you sweat) for a magical lunch. Will most definitely be back here.
My very favorite! The number one pho with well done beef brisket is my absolute favorite pho in Cleveland!! Ive had a few others but they dont compare. The blend of aromatic pho broth with the melt in your mouth beef, perfectly cooked rice noodles, sweet and spicy sauces, crunchy bean sprouts, jalapenos, and Thai basil is perfection!! I also recommend the bahn mi. They have a combo where you can get pho, a drink, and a bahn mi sandwich for a good deal. Ive also substituted marinated pork in the sandwich which was awesome! The shrimp summer rolls are delicious as they are paired with an sweet and savory siracha and peanut sauce for dipping. I literally crave this soup every few weeks and have to come here regardless of what season it is! Its always busy and never disappoints!!
I had the Phở dặc biêt (Pho noodle soup with well done brisket, fat brisket, flank, eye-roundsteak, beef tripe, and beef shank) and Thịt nướng cuốn (Summer rolls with grilled marinated pork, herbs, and vermicelli noodles). My girlfriend had the Phổ chín nạm gầu (PHOTOS HIGH IT TTÞ%noodle soup with well done brisket, fat brisket, and flank) and chả giò (fried pork spring rolls). We also shared cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese iced coffee) and hot jasmine tea.I am a long time phở lover and both soups were well seasoned, cooked well, and overall delicious. As with most phở , the meat and broth had light flavors to allow for individual preferences. The table had the standard condiments (Sriracha and hoisin) as well as a fish sauce which was a nice surprise. The serving size of the soups were gigantic (as with most phở) and came with the standard assortment of additions (beansprouts, Thai basil, green serrano chilis, and lime). I had to ask for soy sauce but, that seems to be the case with most vietnamese restaurants. The summer rolls had a nice, fresh, and light flavor that paired well with the accompanying sweet chili sauce. The spring rolls were amazing with a blast of flavor. However, I would have paired the spring rolls with a different kind of sauce than the sweet chili sauce that came accompanied them. Finally, the hot jasmine tea was pretty good but, I would have liked to personalize it a bit with some lemon or honey which were not available. The iced coffee had a really strong coffee flavor and a creamy, sweet kick from the condensed milk. It was my first time trying cà phê sữa đá and I absolutely loved it; I think Im hooked. The service was fast but, it was hard to get the waitress attention. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will definitely be making Superior Pho a part of my regular restaurant rotation whenever I head up to Cleveland.
Im not sure why people say this is great pho. The broth is not great and has a powdery consistency. The noodles were not cooked through and were very dry. They skimp out on the meat, which was also dry. I also ordered the com thit nuong which was overly sweet(why?) and incredibly dry. I grew up eating pho and thit nuong, and this is nothing like any of the authentic recipes that I experienced both at home and in other establishments. The pho also came out last after the com thit nuong... how does that even make sense? The pho should also come out first, its pre made...
This is the place to get your soup on! They have several meat, and noodle combinations. The bun Bo hue is a flavor explosion. The Vietnamese sandwich is a must try...roast pork, pate, herbs, slaw, cucumber, hot peppers, sweet mayonnaise sauce, on crispy French roll. The meal combos are a good way to try their other foods. This gem is tucked away in an Asian plaza, just east of east 30th, on Superior. Dont confuse #1 pho which is a block away for this place; they are good, but not this good.
Truly the best pho that you could get. This place is in Cleveland Asia Town. Delicious food for sure. Everytime I go I order their speciality sandwich and pho combo. do try the bahn mi....its a good bread with pickled pork and veggies and its very flavorful. Must go place if you are in downtown Cleveland and wanted to try some nice pho in rainy / cold winter days here .
The tastiest pho of all time. I have tried pho all over the city and in Los Angeles and the rest of the west coast and I have to say superior pho stacks up to the west coast competition. Seriously the crispy rolls here are amazing and a number 4 pho is no favorite. Their iced coffee is also delicious and the service is great, thats why this is the best Vietnamese pho place in Cleveland, and their bahn mi is great too, so I guess best Vietnamese restaurant in Cleveland; most likely in all of Ohio.
Im an out-of-towner passing through on a roadtrip from the East to the West coasts, so I can share a different perspective. While Im sure the pho is fantastic for the area, it is just decent by the standards of the coasts. The broth is on the thin side, and the prices are very high at $8.25 a small (regular) bowl of pho. That said, it still hits the spot if youve got a craving.
One of the top 3 restaurants in Cleveland. Cabbage salad (or broken rice) with grilled pork, the banh mi, and any of the pho options are absolutely unreal delicious. It gets crazy busy during peak times on the weekend, but typically you can pop in for a quick lunch and be out in 20 minutes. Cant be beaten.

2021-10-27Very good food! We had an appetizer, two entrees, and split a bubble tea. All of our food was fantastic! Our waitress was helpful with her suggestions but after that she was pretty much missing in action. The interior of the place is extremely plain and there isnt even any background music playing. We will be back because the food is so good, but if youre looking for a place for date night or to impress someone, I dont think this would be the place.

2021-12-29We got pho, spring rolls and mango bubble tea.The pho was delightful! The spring rolls were decent but were mostly noodles and couldve used some more vegetables. The mango bubble tea was average and wasnt fully filled in the cup. Overall Id come back just for the pho 😋

2021-09-25Was craving Pho and this place hit the spot. Got their Combination Meal which was a small pho of your choice, summer roll, and a drink. Added a side of Fried Rice since I eat it with the soup after all the noodles are gone. Definitely gonna go back for more Pho

2022-05-18Server wasnt very good. Didnt bring our drinks so we had to remind him. The spring rolls had no flavor. And the chicken pho was bland as well. Ill stick to #1 pho.
