Sunrise is a wonderful place for your loved one, my family member was here and I loved the staff they were wonderful. They did a wonderful job with her and made sure she was cared for and had alot of fun activties even with the covid virus. The communication from the management staff was even great.
Horrible! Uncaring sloppy staff. No patient dignity in this place. Please please dont send your loved ones here. The administrator is so odd, and self absorbed, difficult to talk to. Nurses and stnas are some of the worst. Management is not helpful, social services puts forth no effort with assistance towards residents. No activities....I could go on. Yes, appropriate phone calls have been made.
I give it 0 stars. the facility is extremely dirty, and the aides are rude as all get out. extremely short staffed, they treat you like youre in prison. i did orentation and wasnt even allowed outside on my break. Then i went back as a medical transporter, my client wasnt even ready to leave, nurse was nowhere to be found, the owner/don is a crook. this place needs shut down. i wouldnt even send my kids or my dog there
My husband has been a resident at Sunrise Manor since his discharge from The Good Samaritan Hospital in August 2021.The patient care provided by the nurses and caregivers has been nothing short of absolutely wonderful! I was very hesitant about moving him to Sunrise but it has been the best care of all the six nursing home facilities where my husband has been a rehab patient over the past eight years. I would still select Sunrise for their excellent care and being a bit larger facility. The billing has been challenging at times but I think those issues are resolving. The food is improving. The kitchen staff does its best to work with the food from the only food supplier from which they are permitted to order. The physical facility has undergone significant construction and updating and construction is still ongoing. Our experience has been a very good one and I do not anticipate that situation to change despite staffing shortages in all nursing facilities.

2022-01-20An absolute diamond in the rough!! This facility has caring, dependable, and professional staff members. Everyone has gone above and beyond to make sure my Uncle and family feel safe and at home. Having Parkinson’s can be challenging, but they are always evaluating and helping to ensure his comfort and care is being delivered. Mel is an absolute asset to Sunrise Manor. Gill the administrator and Kim have also gone above and beyond in making this a smooth transition. The physical therapist and occupational therapist are doing an amazing job working on his rehabilitation. Did I also mention the food is delicious along with daily activities to incorporate socialization for everyone. It is nice to be able to leave your loved one and go home to sleep knowing they will be well taken care of. Especially in these challenging covid times. I highly recommend just stopping by anytime to check out this facility if you are looking for a place for your loved one or self. You can also call and ask for Robin or Kayla they made our admission process a breeze! Best wishes for your loved one and family!

2022-04-20The facility has been updated inside at some point. Our elderly dad stayed in this facility for approximately four months before passing. There are some super star nurses and Aides. Not all, but most. Facility does a poor job communicating with family. Food is a 3 out of 10. We hired a private care giver to come in and see that our dad was receiving proper care. The Director Anastacia was put out by our questions. Dr. Costalanos is the medical director. He spoke to my sister and I on the phone. He spoke down to us, he belittled us and made us feel as if our questions about our dads Healthcare was putting him out. Our dad went on hospice. We asked if Dr. C as they refer to him would have a conversation about being in hospice care. We were told that he would. One week later while visiting our dad, Dr. Costalonos stopped by to ask if we had any questions. I asked if he had a clinician to patient talk with our dad about what hospice care meant and what he should expect. His response was no. I asked if he would. He the said sure. He went into my dads room and stated a couple of sentences. He looked at my sister bewildered. He said I dont think he can understand. My sister suggested getting next to him and speaking clearly. He said one sentence and wondered out of the room. This doctor did not treat our dad with dignity. Nor did he make an honest attempt to communicate with a dying man about what his status was. Shame on you Dr. Costolanos. Your rudeness and unwillingness to tell your patient that he was going to die falls short in so many categories. You should take some courses on how to talk to people with patience kindnessvand professionally. I will never recommend a referral to Sunrise Manor as long as they support and employ this level of Healthcare provider. There are a lot of good physicians and Nurse practitioners out there. Even a nurse told us they thought he was bi polar. Dealing with a family member that is close to death is difficult. Dealing with a health care provider that obviously could care less about the patient just really makes the entire experience so much more difficult.

2021-10-07My mom was assigned to this place as a last resort. She had dementia but was no where near deaths door. 14 days later they called us and said she passed. No details, no explanation. Everyday we went there she was totally out of it. We knew our mother would one day succumb to dementia but not on these terms. We were planning to bring her home that Sunday to care for her on our own but we never got that chance. This will haunt me forever. This being said. I DO NOT recommend this facility.

2021-03-23I was able to visit Sunrise Manor today to see my husband and we had a great visit. Everyone I met was very friendly, caring individuals. His room has a large window so he can see what a beautiful day it is outside. I can’t wait to see the facility after all of the remodeling. No complaints.

2022-05-24March 2018 I visited the facility Sunrise Manor to work 7P to 7A threw a staffing agency I worked for called Arcadia. For the first time in my four years in healthcare I witnessed a STNA throw a resident abusively on the ground. I immediately contacted my agency, it is state law that you have two hours to report abuse my agency did nothing they told me to stay and finish my shift, I was heartbroken. I wrote a statement to them about the abuse i witnessed that night and shortly afterward i was fired. Nonetheless they never reported it to the state so I called state myself to report this incident. Unfortunately it took months for state to go out and since it had been months afterwards, the facility was NOT found incompliant. It’s terrible that the woman who did this to that elderly lady that night got away. I blame Arcadia to the fullest extent had someone found the decency in there heart to take this matter seriously justice could have been served the woman is still employed there and I am raged with disappointment.

2020-11-10I have had the pleasure of working with the best staff around. From the STNA’s which truly love their Residents to the knowledgeable nurses who always put residents first. The DON is available whenever, from sitting with residents to working the floor. And now the building is getting a total remodel and it is stunning. Way to go Sunrise Team!

2020-07-16I had my mother here and she went home after rehab. The difference in her was amazing. She talked about how nice all the staff were to her nurses, aides and therapy. Social worker helped her with the discharge. She said everyone treated her like family even the ones who in charge she was impressed. Cant wait to see the place when the renovations are done.
