This supermarket looks like it focuses on oriental foods. It has been opened 2 years and I decided to take a look. I was very surprised to find a full range of Latin, Arab, and african spices and packaged foods. The produce, meat section were large. There was a section of prepared foods. Bakery in the front and a rewards program to boot. The spice selections were amazing.
The produces are alright but one of the cashier is very very rude . I went check out one morning, I have tried gave her the point card, she didn’t even bother to look at it then printed out the receipt and I still tried to give her the point card instead she would do something with it she told me it’s finished and then she turned around to speak to other costumer in Spanish. I feel speak less for being treated so rude like that in my life. This lady should not work with dealing with customers the manager should train the employees better. The costumers go to that store buying food instead saying thanks to costumers but some of the employees act or treat the customers very very bad. One star is too many to this store, very very bad costumers service.
Great place to shop if youre looking for Asian or Hispanic ingredients in the Columbus area. They have items I havent been able to find elsewhere in Columbus like Lap Xuong. Their use of the space is great, with little nooks that have more things to look at. In the back, they have a meat and seafood counter with a selection of meat and both fresh and live fish. If I had to give one criticism it would be that I wish they had more of a selection of frozen dumplings and snacks.
This place is great! Very organized. There were lots of fresh produce available. They had stuff in the meat section that I usually dont see- chicken organs, ect. They had fresh & frozen fish. Lots of crabs. I got some stuff from a few different countries. I brought home some prepared blue crabs that my stepdad loved. Will definitely stop by when I am near. Very close to the casino.
This is an amazing store. The cleanliness is just as wonderful as the prices and the staff are extremely helpful. I had an issue at the register, the manager came over immediately and took care of the problem at the register and then with no hesitation he fixed the problem in the computer system as well.My apologies to kroger and walmart for my family has found a new beautiful independent grocery store !!!!!!!
Great prices and selection of different food and drinks. I just wish when you ask someone a question they could understand you or get someone that can understand what you are looking for. They are missing out on a lot of money just because of a language barrier between them and customers.
If you are looking for hard to find ethnic ingredients, great priced spices, or just something new to try, this place is great. What an amazing array of products. There is a bit of a... How to put this politely, odor in the place, but its to be expected with all the unusual foods they carry. Dont let it put you off. Clean store, friendly staff, fair prices.
Has a good mix of Mexican and Asian food items. I guess it really depends what you’re looking for. They have nice spice collections throughout the various aisles, fruits and veggies not that bountiful but still a good mix, I did not find fresh fish but I did see fresh crawfish.
I’m posting three stars because I like the managers and the owners... and for the store it is great. The only thing I dislike is the veggie section. I bought some basil and chee there and inside the chee.. I don’t know what it’s called in English but it’s in the basil family. But if you don’t wash the vegetables thoroughly.. and God I did.. you will find bugs. I literally almost ate a little slug or something or a snail without a shell or WHATEVER THE HELL IT WAS .. it freaked me out. OMFGLike how?!?!?! Where do you get your produce from?!?! And what is the process of putting it out on the shelf?!?!?! Holy JesusI have the bag and it has the slug. I’m not about to open it up and take a picture.. but if you want I can have someone take a pic. Because I’m terrified of bugs and worms etc . Just awful. Omg
Being as my girlfriend and I are vegans, I like to cook alot of ethnic dishes, to keep food interesting. Im always looking for hard to find food items, this place has every thing under the sun needed for most authentic Korean, Indian and Mexican foods. Im like a kid in a candy store here. Both times I have been there it has been super clean.
Beware, store has a points system for free items you can exchange points for, they had signs up for a specific 5 pound bag of rice to exchange for points and we found the rice in the store to purchase with our points but at the register they said we cant use our points to buy this rice even though signs were up all over the store saying rice was free for 50 points. We now have over 1 thousand points that we cant even be confident we can use.
Decently clean. Great selection of whatever you may be looking for from all over the world. Live seafood section. Very friendly management/staff. Produce was well priced and fresh. Didn’t realize they had closed while we were browsing the aisles, they did NOT try to hurry us out of the store. They were willing to take specific requests for items.
A welcome addition to W. Broad street. This is a supermarket with some general retailer aspects. This market has a butcher and fish section with live fish, a prepared food counter, and a large frozen section.I have been pleased with the produce section. While the market has staple produce items, a significant portion of the section showcases items that are seasonal and currently abundant. Produce common to central and south American cuisine is prominently featured.
Could use a bakery or something like that, meat department makes up for it though. Produce seems to always be fresh, Ive never gotten anything rotten there, and over all the prices are fair. Could use a cleaning up or a straighten up for that matter. Things are scattered everywhere in some departments.
This was my first trip here. Theres a lot of parking out front. Located next to Buckeye Raceway. The inside is spacious, clean, brightly-lit, and well stocked with products from Southeast Asia to India to South America. Theyve got fresh produce and meats, a sizable freezer section of frozen foods, a section up front by the checkout lanes that has roast meats, even a small section for household items/kitchenware. From some of the signs, it also looks like they are able to sell certain items in bulk - there were prices listed for cases of food items like tofu, instant noodles, cartons of drinks. I tend to worry about expired goods from big markets like these but during my brief visit, the products I looked at were all clear. Did not find anything so hopefully this doesnt become an issue in the future as they become more established. All in all, Im glad to see an Asian/International market on the west side of town! Now they need to open on on the south side / south east part of Columbus...
On Thursday, I went to their store to order a $25 chicken. I told them that I would come pick up the chicken on Friday at 9:45 am. And I have already gave them the money and I have the receipt to prove my order. So, on Friday, I arrive at the store at 9:45 in the morning to get my chicken. The chicken seller told me to wait for a second but I had to wait for 10 Minutes.I ask if the chicken was ready or not and he told me again to wait one second. But then, I have to wait again for more than 3 minutes.I ask, politely, if he could do it faster since I have works to do and I don’t have much time BUT he rudely told me off, saying to get lost if I wouldn’t wait. In addition, he rudely gesture to me saying he could easily give back the $25.I was extremely piss off and angry, so, I left without getting my chicken and the money. The seller was extremely rude and I want to warn people about the poor services in the store.
So we USED to like this store a lot. Even after the first rotten chicken we bought, we still gave it the benefit of the doubt. We eat 90 percent Asian and/or ethnic foods and this location being around the corner is super convenient BUT Time after time getting rotten chicken, rotten fish, moldy Indian bread from freezer section (can’t remember what the bread is called). Bad produce (which I could kind of understand if it was on sale but that wasn’t even the case). I still buy certain items from there but I’d prefer not to. If they would keep their food fresh ESPECIALLY the meat. Then I’d give this store a 5 star. But your going to make someone sick selling bad foods and meat.
My boyfriend and I eat a plant based diet and we(or should I say he) tend to make a lot of ethnic foods with hard to find ingredients. We can guarantee that we can find them plus more here. We are like kids in a candy store going in. We will walk every aisle and find new things that look interesting and new that we want to try. Employees are very nice and helpful went we cant find something. Definitely our go to grocery store!
Pretty neat place. Son told us about it. Asian and Hispanic foods. Enjoyed shopping here. Friendly staff. Alot of choices. English translation on alot of products. Live fish market, cell phone center, some clothing, kitchen ware. Prices decent. This was our 1st time there and we are trying some new things. Hope they taste good.
I was excited that this west Broad location was open now! They have a huge selection of produce and even more fresh meat. Huge freezer section for seafood and dumplings of all varieties. My favorite is definitely the fresh cooked roast pork and Hong Kong style fresh roast duck that you dont find in any other market around Columbus. They lose 1 star for very random seemingly unorganized layout of the store. It is definitely a work in progress since this location just recently opened up but I love it already.
Great service and great prices! Everything that I needed was found!! Some items were tucked away in an isle that I would have not guessed they would be, however, the staff are super helpful. One of the staff did not speak English well enough to understand I was looking for dried shrimp, but he took out his phone, brought up Google translate and had me spell it out in English and he had it translated to Korean. Speak about customer service! He could have easily said he didnt know and passed me off to someone else... I forgot to mention I stopped him in the middle of wheeling a giant cart full of stuff. He parked his cart and walked me all the way down to the freezer section. I stopped him near the dried goods which was almost on the other side of the store. When we got to the dried shrimp he made sure to ask if I needed help with anything esle before he went back to what he was doing.I also had help at the butcher area. I had to also get some beef bones to make some pho. I told the guy I want 3 full size pieces, but had him cut them into 3-4 inche cuts so they could fit into my pot. No problem, he said. All of their veggies were priced slightly lower than the other Asian/international stores...and to top it off, the prepackaged veggies are larger. So youre getting more and still pay less!!Right now... Which I didnt know when I walked in...all customers are receiving a 10% discount as part of their grand opening. Not sure how much longer thats gonna last. But this is on top of thier already lower prices! So Im super happy theyve open!
Bad experiences with this grocery store , the guy who named himself manager very rude and don’t know to manage the business at all , he don’t value customers who brings business to this grocery , I come to this store regularly twice a week and spended thousand dollar per month on grocery but they never give back any coupon ,accept cheap Pepsi or coke price around 2-3$ (even customers spend a lot of money ) Same store name Sunrise in Henderson Road always give out coupons 5$ for every 35$ spend , how wonder they always slow and empty. And from now on I will never come back here again even they are next to my house .
1st trip: very nice & new place to shop. Mr. Zheng has hit on a wide variety of options with good prices. I said WOW to my wife when I saw the whole roasted ducks ready to go. Great housewares selection. Carnicero (butcher) came right up to me right away and asked if I needed help...thanks! There were enough unique products that caught our interest compared to other large international markets, that the trip was a success. Well be back. Excellent, new, frozen cases full of great stuff by the way.
Every time I call to see if they have something in stock they always say their busy or come look for it yourself, their customer service suck and the guy in the front does nothing but sit there and the first grocery store I know that don’t tell a price over the phone about a product.

2022-03-29Not what I was expecting based on the photos. Much smaller and limited selection. Many emptied shelves. Old meat and produce.Narrow and hard to get around. Location is odd.Small shops inside… nothing special.

2022-05-09Excellent Asian supermarket with lots of offerings! They carry Latino, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Vietnamese, and some Indian selections, so this is truly more of an international market than most Asian supermarkets in the greater Columbus area. Its a pretty big store, also!My only reservation is that its organized somewhat confusingly. For example, housewares are separated into two different locations instead of collected in one general area, and foods are seemingly separated by ethnicity, but not really marked in a way that makes it easy to identify what type youre looking at - this is especially true of the frozen food aisles. And there are like three or four separate frozen food aisles scattered around the store, but not a lot of rhyme or reason to what items are stored in each.HOWEVER, the prices are competitive, they offer cooked food and a full bakery with cakes, pastries, etc , and I think theres a little cafe in there, too.All the produce and meats (theres a full butcher counter, and one for seafood) seem very fresh and theres a LOT to choose from in those departments - I feel the produce department rivals any Kroger or Meijer in the area for freshness and variety, actually.Could be a one-stop shop for your weekly grocery list if you are down that way!

2021-01-17Building is dated but clean for the most part. Social distancing is applied and enforced here which I like. Lots of parking available. Most of the staff do not speak English very well and not very friendly but there are a small handful that make up for them. Live, Fresh fish offered. Prices on seafood is inexpensive to fair and reasonable. Speciality meats offered. They even have Balut here. Not farm fresh balut but isnt too bad tasting. Fresh fruits and veggies are plentiful. They have fried whole tilapia and butterfish at the restaurant inside for a ridiculously enticing price as well as their fried chicken dummies and quarters. Delicious food offered for a cost that wont empty your wallet quickly. Manager is professional and polite, courteous to customers, knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoy shopping here for my fresh meats, seafood and many other food items. I also have purchased a lot of kitchen items such as pots, pans, strainers, utensils, cutting boards, Japanese style dishes and bowls, sake sets, etc. Highly recommend this establishment to others. Give it a try, it may end up being your favorite Asian grocery to go place! It definitely is mine. Happy 2021 everyone and Godspeed!

2018-08-19Best place for fresh shrimps, crabs and golden pomfret. Costs are comparatively lesser too. Lots of option for frozen seafood including Indian mackerels.

2021-11-07There is an abundance of unusual products. Now there is persimmon. A healthy fruit that is only in autumn. Cool frozen seafood. Also chilled fresh fish. Some prices for greens and meat, you will be very pleased.

2018-05-10Clean, well-lit, and stocked with nearly any ingredient you could ever hope for. Sunrise rivals CAM in terms of selection and quality, but at better prices. Easily accessible from 270 on the west side, do yourself a favor and try Sunrise International Market the next time you need any East Asian, Southeast Asian, or Central American food items.

2022-03-21I love the variety of ethnic foods available. They have a small Chinese buffet that is very good. ***Be careful of the prices they charge. Very often the price on the shelf does not match the price at the register.***

2021-11-12I loved it. I have seen it for a couple of years but never thought to stop. They have more food items than what I know what to do with. Left with rabbit and frog legs will definitely be going back
