The dealership as a whole was polite and helpful. Dave Datsko was amazing. He constantly went above and beyond to help us stay in contact about our Prius, when it would arrive, and he was very knowledgeable about the vehicle itself. I would recommend him for anyone looking to purchase a Toyota!
Make sure when they run your credit and payment info they show it to you...Make them show you the interest rates available.1% of interest could be $30 a month and at 72 months that equals $2100 over the life of the loan.Dealerships have relationships with local banks that arent in your interest...at all...If you know you have good-excellent credit report their laziness to Toyota corporate. 800+ credit score and asked them to look at whatever financing options they had available...sales person came back with other lenders options of course after we asked. Terrible business practice!It was worse when we leased the vehicle!!I have proof!!! Accusations can be validated.Emails and documents dont go away...Forget about the Toyota hat.
We bought our new Highlander from Dan Schrier and Dave Datsko. They were great! Dan kept us updated regarding the order status of our car. Dave spent so much time with us , setting up the Toyota app and going over every feature on our new car. Summit Toyota gave us sticker price when other dealers were price gouging. I highly recommend doing business with these gentlemen.
Ive reviewed this store before for sales, and gave them 5 ⭐️. This review is for my service appointment today. The only ding is for the fact that I made an appointment for my scheduled maintenance (in order to keep my power train warranty) in advance for 2:00 pm. I arrived right on time, to see a line of cars out the service entrance. When I went in, I was advised that I would be there for a while, as they were backed up. Two and a half hours later, my car was ready. Oil change and tire rotation.
These guys are a class act. Starting with Aaron the internet sales guy. He got me in touch with Nevin who was great at keeping me informed while my venza was in transit. I got a fair deal with no markup of msrp or add ons.Jamey, the finance manager was fast, professional, and a great guy that knows his job very well. It was a pleasure leasing a car at Summit Toyota of Akron. I will be back.
This dealership treats customers with courtesy & respect. They are very upfront with information they give you. I didn’t feel like they were hiding the truth from me like some places do. They are prompt with their appointments & thorough. They aren’t afraid to answer questions.
Was told shocks and struts are fine. No wear, all seals are solid and no leaks during a multi-point inspection for upcoming camping season for towing.It is a good thing I know vehicles and the difference between good and bad.Thank goodness it was a free service, Id be back there requesting money back.First indications were extreme bushing wear on the front struts, add in the excessive impact for the bump stop. The rear was about the same. Excessive impact on the axle tube from the bump stop.Add in the cupped tires, any beginner can see the signs.Post install, whats with the leaky struts that never push back out?Ill never be taking my vehicle here again.Ganley Toyota is just another 10 minutes down the road for me.Edit for reply:Dear Mr toyota... While its true that its been 6 months since I was there. I did not post this review until a week ago. I assure you that the work Ive done was shortly after your multi-point inspection.No matter how the cookie crumbles, it still crumbled. It was your job to ensure that my vehicle was safe and comfortable for an awesome towing season.You have failed and lost my business.
So I spoke to Elisa at summit Toyota and she told me to bring my 2021 Honda Pilot so they can give me a trade Value m I drove 45 minutes to get there and the salesman was there trying to sale me 2020, I told him I’m here to get a price for my car then I wanna order 2023, so he told me they can’t give me a price for my car until I put an order for the new car which make no sense how you want me to put an order for a new car before I know how much you give me for my carThat’s happened in Monday 5/30/2022 and I drove 45 minutes going over there then drove another 45 minutes back home for nothing, so why would you call 100 times to let me come for nothingThen today 06/01/2022 I call to speak to Elisa about what happened she put me on hold then all the sudden someone else answered the phone and I asked him to let me speak to Elisa and he said I’ll transfer you to her again but if she don’t answer leave her a voicemailSo you guys don’t even deserve one star, stop playing games with people and waste them time for nothing
This was my first time buying a vehicle out of state. I was very scared at first because I wasn’t physically there to see, hear, touch the car to see if I liked it. My wife found the vehicle and I immediately called Summit Toyota inquiring about the 335is. The process was very quick and easy. They sent me pictures, videos all to be the most transparent with me and the vehicle was in amazing shape. Dan and Patricia really took care of me and I felt like I wasn’t in Georgia buying a car all the way in Ohio but more like I was physically there and they were treating me like family. Other dealerships need to learn from this. Thank you guys for making this process very easy and enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place 15/10.
I have been in the market for a 2022 Sienna for a couple of months now. Except for a few dealers in Ohio, all dealers have markups. Nevin contacted me and helped me to reserve a vehicle and their deposit amount was half of what many other dealers in Ohio ask for. The only thing was that the vehicles arrival was going to take 5-6 months, which I was okay with because I am not in an immediate need. I asked for a few hours to discuss the terms with my wife. Both of us liked what was offered. But before I gave Nevin a definite answer, my local dealer that I was in communication with, called and notified me regarding their recent allocations. The vehicles fit my need and I decided to go with my local dealer because 1) they also mark their vehicles at MSRP and 2) the vehicles build date is 12/20, which is much sooner. So, I couldnt say no to that but I suggest Nevin since he was very transparent during the process and helped me by going above and beyond. I do appreciate his transparency and kindness and will contact him if anything changes.
Summit Toyota provided me and my family an ideal car shopping experience. Nevin was great, he was professional, and personable. He also tried to expedite everything, which my kids appreciated. He and the staff were very fair and upfront with everything from the time to complete each step, cost, and fees. We even got more than expected for our trade in. It was an easy and stress free car buying experience. We will return.
Absolute amazing help and service with David Datsko would recommend him every time didn’t hesitate to help me purchase a vehicle as I’m located out of state was super helpful and kept me updated every time something new happened would give him an 11/10 any day of the week.
I bought a used Subaru here. It was a good experience all around. My salesman was John, very likable and no pressure. There was an issue with one of the rims after I took the car home. I contacted them through the chat feature on the website. They took care of it right away. The service department is great. Very clean garage. Nice people.
We just got our second lease from Summit Toyota. Blake Johnson is a great salesperson. He worked with us until we found the car we wanted for the price we budgeted. The staff is nice, polite and professional. The free service package that they have sets them apart from many dealerships. I am sure that we will keep leasing cars from them in the future!
Great staff and experience. Ordered a new truck & was able to completely customize it with what I wanted rather then being pressured into what they already had for an up-sale (other dealers). Nevin B. is my sales associate and updates me weekly on any progress being made & is very professional yet down to earth. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I’ve been going to summit Toyota when it was originally Malloy Toyota. I’ve bought several cars at summit as well as referred and taking people there to purchase. Unfortunately the last three times I had been there to purchase a car for myself and once for one of my friends they seem to lowball and not be willing to budge at all the first time they wouldn’t negotiate price at all so I left an hour and a half later all of a sudden the price can come down quite drastically but I already left I’m not going back because I’m sitting in another dealer purchasing a car. The second time I take my friend by a Toyota same thing they don’t seem to want to negotiate at all so we leave again they call an hour and a half later but we are now in the finance department and another Toyota dealer third time was just a few days ago they tried to lowball me on my trade I tell them what I think is fair but now noone is there to talk to and so I left and went to another dealer and they call me but I am already signing my finance papers. I keep going back there because I really have always liked the People there I’m more upset that I bought from another dealer when I would rather of given you my business. Maybe next time.
Recently took Delivery of a 4Runner that I ordered through Dave Datsko. Any and all questions I had were answered in a very timely manner which made my experience even better. The buying experience was great, customer was amazing and I was able to drive off with a great vehicle for an amazing price. Highly recommend Summit Toyota
Had a very nice experience today, Nevin was absolutely Great! I went in to browse around and ended up driving home in a new(to me) SUV! I feel he went above and beyond to make sure I walked out happy, satisfied, and in a new car! I dont feel he was pushy, or overbearing like most salesmen and Im over all pleased with my experience, I would definitely recommend Nevin to all my friends and family! Thanks again!
My husband and I searched Nationwide for a 4Runner TRD Pro in April. Local dealerships claimed they couldnt order one, dealerships were rude, or tried marking up the prices. We finally found Dave Datsko at Summit Toyota and he was polite, professional, and communicated well from ordering my vehicle to my specifications, keeping me up to date on the process (we just picked it up), and making sure we were completely happy. This dealership was the only place we were able to order at MSRP with no hassle. I flew in from East TN and Dave even made sure I had a driver, Dennis, pick my son and I up in a comfortable ride. Dennis was also very polite and easy to talk to. You can definately tell this dealership holds value for their customers and keeps their old standards unlike many around. We are a Toyota family and they have captured our business for a lifetime, even though we live 7 hours away. The 4Runner TRD Pro made the trip super comfortable. Great experience. They were able to get the car I wanted in the trim and color I wanted even though they did not have it in stock on their lot. I worked with Dave Datsko to order and purchase a new Supra. The experience was awesome even though the build took a little longer due to covid. There was a little confusion with the financial stuff, but they were able to work things out with me so I could buy my dream car! Thank you so much Dave and the team at Summit Toyota! My wife’s truck decided to give up. So she had her heart set on a specific brand and model. Using Auto-Navigator we wound up at Summit Toyota they had just what she was looking for. As we walked into the dealership we were greeted by Dan Schrier. We told him what we where interested in he sat us down grabbed the car and got to business. Once my wife drove it and fell in love Dan got the paperwork in order which I must say was very quick.( Beginning of the best experience) He very efficient and knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome and excited to be doing business there. He asked terms and payments and got us just what WE ASKED FOR. I’ve purchased from other dealers but Dan really made us feellike we mattered. I plan on doing business with him again. I just started my third lease with Summit Toyota. I keep coming back because I never feel pressured and always feel taken care of while I’m there. Dan showed me three different cars and let me take my time checking them out, went over all of my questions, and then found the exact color combination I wanted somewhere else and had it delivered because they didn’t have it. And Mr. Hayes in finance goes out of his way to make you feel like family. Everyone there just wants to be helpful and make sure you’re taken care of.

Totally disappointed, bought a 2013 tundra,was told they went all over it and everything works as should, then handed me 2 sets of keys with remotes that DID NOT open or connect with my doors, I only discovered this at my 1st stop on way home from the dealership, called back in next morning, only to be told its my problem and that I should of bought their expensive electronic insurance, needless to say I was speechless, never in all my years of many vehicles I bought was I treated with such CAREFREE response from any other dealership, such an inconvenience and they certainly dont care, i will NEVER go back NOR RECOMMEND summit Toyota of Akron to anyone..
One of the best car buying (lease) experiences Ive ever had! April Tobias was my first contact and she was very quick to respond and get me a quote. Dave Datsko did a great job finding the EXACT vehicle I was looking for and went way above and beyond to deliver the vehicle to our home, which is over an hour away from the dealership! I will be sure to recommend Summit Toyota to anyone in the market for a new vehicle from now on.
I didn’t get a car here, BUT, I have to do a huge shout out!On June 18, 2021, my girls and I were coming home from Charleston, SC. We got into Akron, and there were the most confusing detour directions and we got lost. I finally pulled off the freeway, and I told my girls that I was going into a car dealership, that they were the best at helping people.We pulled into your dealership around 6:00pm or so, and found our hero, Dave Datsko.Dave helped us find our way back to where we needed to go. He was patient and kind to me and my girls. The girls repeated his directions over and over again, just like he asked, and we thanked him immensely. The girls got us back on track by repeating the directions for me. My youngest kept saying “he was SO NICE!”The girls hailed him a hero, and I finally figured out where we ended up at so I could say thank you to Dave!!
Really bad experience in the service department. Scheduled a service appointment and confirmed with the lady on the phone that there would be no charge to me. Ironically the second the service writer brought up my Information, the first thing he said was there would be a charge for the service. I specifically called to confirm this point and was misinformed. I drove an hour round trip for nothing. The service writer seemed like he was having a bad day and could have cared less about any of it. Very disappointed as Ive always received excellent service in the past. You live and learn. Never again.
I shared my opinion and feelings of a very recent poor experience with this dealership, salesman, and manager. I erased it, following manager response, to simply make my own response.To each their own but as you can see all of his responses to mine and the other poor reviews are to blame the customer and “correct” statements made in the review. I can’t speak for the others but his response to ours is not as he indicates.Everyone has a different experience when shopping for any product. My strong suggestion is, if you choose Summit Toyota, go in with your red flag meter ready and do not take anyone’s “word” as truth.
Dave datsko was a great person to work with. He went above and beyond my expectations to get me in the exact truck that I wanted. finance team got me the payment i wanted and was able to get me a great warranty as well. I live an hour away but will make the drive to get my truck serviced at summit just to take advantage of the great dealership warranty they offer for FREE. Would definitely recommend anyone to buy from them
I was lied to. I gave the guy every bit of information up front about my negative equity. I told him how much I owed on the car and how much I have been offered on another deal. He said they were giving out way more on trades these days and could give me more for my trade to make the deal happen. His name is Aaron King. I told him I lived 2 and a half hours away and I didnt want to drive there for nothing. I even told him how much I had to put for a down payment. He said it should be a done deal. I got there and they wanted almost $3000 more for a down payment and was offering the same amount on my car that I was offered before that the place couldnt do it. Total waiste of 5 hours driving. I would not recommend this place and will not do business with them in the future.
I am writing this review for Barb Richards who purchased a certified used car on August 27th. Even though I was buying a used car they treated me like I was buying a new one. My salesman was Jayson and he spent a lot of time with me. He was very helpful. He asked all the right questions to find out what would be the best small car for my money. I picked a 2013 Toyota Corolla that I just love. It looks brand new and is perfect for me to drive. Everyone that works there was friendly and efficient. It was a great experience and I would recommend them any one looking for a good deal on a car.
Now let me start of by saying I got a really good deal on my 2020 Camry however this place is very unprofessionally managed and a horrible after sale services.My husband and I went in and we were paired with Christian on of their sales guy. He had no knowledge of their inventory or the packages offered. After we agreed on the car about a week and a half later we came to pick up our car and it wasn’t the one we agreed on.We didn’t make a big deal out of it since everyone makes mistakes. The searched through Toyotas inventory and finally found the one we want and once again we signed the sales agreement. 1 week and 1/2 went by we didn’t hear a thing back meanwhile before the first mishap we were the ones chasing him down on the phone to make a sale and it was the exact same way the second time round.After 2 and a half weeks we decided not to get a car here after the awful experience. We went in to get our deposit and the manager was really understanding and even apologized on his behalf.Me being the kind of person who always wants to give people a second chance I went ahead and got a car here. This time we were paired with Jesse; he seemed nice enough or at the very least knew the packages and inventory. I got the complete warranty package the offered and I was told Jeremy the guy who handles warranty will give me a call within the next few days and Jesse said he’d call to see if I had any questions about the car. We bought the car on Monday, on Friday I decided to call Jesse no response left a voicemail. On the following Monday he returned my call I was unavailable at the time so he left a voicemail. I called him back 3 later and left a voicemail again didn’t get anything back. So, once again I got tired and went in person to address the information and Jesse had to say was “yes, we were so slammed this weekend and I called and left a voicemail” which I responded with yea, and I called you back 3 times and left a voicemail and all he had to say was; I didn’t get it. Anyway fast forward to 2 weeks of having my car still no call from Jeremy to schedule the warranty they were so eager to sell to me. I’ve called left a voicemail and received nothing return.I’m beyond disappointed with my overall experience at summit Akron of Toyota and I will not be recommending this place to my friends or family. They do the bare minimum to make a sale and you’ll never hear anything back from them again.Yetunde!
I walked into the dealership on 5/19/21 to test drive a 2021 Toyota Sienna Platinum. I test drive the vehicle, liked it and asked the salesperson to draw up paperwork on how much this vehicle would cost. He met with the general manager TJ Disanto and he wrote up a purchase agreement of $42,859 and the salesperson right away noticed this and said wow youre giving him $10,000 off and the general manager laughed and let him leave his office. When I saw the price I asked if they could hold the vehicle until 5/20 so I would have the time to sit down and purchase the vehicle. They required a deposit on the van of $1,000 to hold it until 5/20. I showed up to the dealership on 5/20 with and additional $8,000 for a down payment. They drew up all the paperwork which I signed including the purchase agreement of $42,859 which the dealership and I both signed. After signing all paperwork the salesperson took me to the service department to schedule first service and then we started to download the Toyota app so I could pair my phone with my new van. The the general manager comes over and say there is absolutely no way he can sell me this van for the agreed upon price. I said what do you mean and TJ told me that they would be losing money and that I was taking advantage of their dealership. While getting frustrated I raised my voice and he dismissed me with a hand gesture and then hid the rest of the time. They did give me my money back at that time and at that point I didnt know what to do. I had copies of the agreement which we both signed and I thought the deal was done. They pulled my credit through three financial institutions and now I have nothing to show for it. This dealership conducts business very poorly and Shady.
Great experience buying two cars here. The salesmen allow you to direct the conversation, they dont try to convince you to get a car you dont want. They make things go as quickly as possible once they can tell you have your mind set. They come across as very honest, respectable people, and they try to get you the best deal they can.
Laura is the greatest sales lady I have ever met!! I would and will recommend her to anyone in the market for a vehicle! She is kind, sweet caring, and very attenuative! Best car buying experience I have ever had! I love my 2021 Toyota Corolla Hatchback!!!! :) Thank you Laura!!
I delt with Nevin Boland to get a new Tacoma I thought I would have to order one and wait 2 months to get it shipped but they had the exact truck I was looking for in stock. Very easy to deal with and fast process. I will definitely come back when Im ready for another vehicle!!!
Dan Schrier and the team were fantastic from start to finish. It was no pressure. They found the exact car that I wanted. We Able to negotiate a good price easily. Let me walk you through my purchase at Summit Toyota. I went to look at a variety of Toyota vehicles because my current Toyota lease was coming up within the next year and owning a Toyota is probably the only thing better than sliced bread. I was not planning on purchasing one of these vehicles this day, but instead merely wanted to feast my eyes on my options. I knew when the right deal came along, I would not have much time to go to the dealership and snag my new ride (lets be fair, its a Toyota and none of them will sit long on a decent deal). Summit Toyota was the only option after a bad experience at another dealership. When I arrived at the dealership one morning, IAN (the salesman) greeted me and we test drove a Tacoma off road. This was the only Tacoma on the entire lot and I was certain it would be sold any day now. After a no-pressure but thorough test drive, I knew I had to purchase this vehicle before I left. IAN (the salesman) took me on a routine test drive route allowing me to test the ability of the vehicle in a safe manner and explaining to me each and every feature the vehicle had. He answered every single ridiculous question I had. IAN (the salesman) is truly a Toyota expert and put my knowledge of Toyota vehicles to the test.I test drove exactly zero additional mileage guzzling beasts of Toyota vehicles. IAN (the salesman) told me he would get me a quote on the Tacoma right away and it would include getting me out of my current Toyota vehicle and into this new incredible truck. The quote came back well under what I anticipated due to IAN (the salesman) and Bill (the sales manager) hard work. Needless to say, I purchase the truck on the spot and drove home a couple hours later.Why did it take so long you ask? Easy answer.. there was a line of people in front of me to go through finance as they were purchasing their new Toyota machines that will likely outlive all of us on inconceivable deals. While I was waiting my turn, IAN (the salesman) kept me entertained and we had great conversations about Toyota vehicles. IAN (the salesman) is the greatest salesman I have ever dealt with and I cannot recommend him any more to anyone. I grabbed almost all his business cards and have been distributing them to anyone that mentions a new car to me.Summit Toyota made my purchase a great experience and I would return in a heartbeat, although we all know I wont have to (I drive a Toyota).
I recently purchased a used car from Summit Toyota and must say, I had an awesome experience. I dealt with Bob during the whole process, he is fantastic. I was upfront with my budget including down payment and how much a month I wanted to spend and Bob did not push for more than that I wanted. He was upfront, I never felt like I was being pushed or hassled. I would suggest Summit Toyota to anyone looking to purchase or lease a new or used car!
Just wanted to leave a comment because of horrible serviced I received! If I could leave negative 5 stars I would!!!! Me being in the service business myself I excepted to get great service. I stopped for help with my Toyota product, I had just replaced all 4 of my tire pressure sensors and thought it would be cheeper if I went to a Toyota dealership. As I walked into the service department I wasn’t greeted with a friendly greeting i had to walk up and ask for help, then to be told to hold on there are other customers waiting to be checked out. After waiting for five minutes the express advisor went to the service manager to seek advise, she went on to say someone had to break my sensors or the batteries where dead after I had just got done telling her they where brand new! She sounded totally clueless, then proceeded to tell me it would be a $100.00 to get my tire pressure light off. So after hearing that I left and went to Lexus of Akron canton. I was greeted immediately when I arrived and the work was done for no charge. My advise stay clear of this Toyota dealership they have untrained employees and would rip off anyone that walks through there door.
This review is about the service dept management specifically.I bought a vehicle from this dealership and bring it in for regular maintenance. This most recent time, I got it back with a deep scratch in the rear bumper. I was obviously unhappy but things happen, and I reached out to establish whether they could confirm that it happened there and possibly do something about it. I was told that it would be looked into by the service dept and contacted again shortly after. That was over two weeks ago and despite my calling and leaving voicemails numerous times, Im still being completely ghosted. Extremely unprofessional and escalating a situation from something mild to one that reflects poorly on the entire dealership.
Just picked up a new 2021 Limited 4-Runner. The 4-Runner is great. Summit Toyota was just as great from David Datsko my Sales Rep, to Max the initial contact to Jeremiah the protection man to everyone at Summit Toyota. I live in the Cleveland area and chose to drive to Akron to purchase this great truck. I highly recommend Summit Toyota.
I purchased a Sienna in 2017 and leased a Tacoma in 2020. Bob Watterson helped my wife and I with both vehicles. He was knowledgeable and fantastic to work with! There was no pressure and we felt that we received a fair deal. We would highly recommend and will be return customers. Their service department is also very helpful.

Was dropping a newly purchased used Camry to our daughter and the engine light came on. We were there only for one day and wanted to have it checked out before We flew back. When I called back the same person placed the order and I was advised he would call when the part comes in. I still have not received a call weeks later. At this point it not longer matters. My friend went into the dealer too see if the part was in, I said you wont find him by customer service awards. I worked with Todd up there, and he is an amazing guy. He does what he can to work with you...as well as making sure to get you in a nice car.Edit: highly wouldn’t recommend unless you want to put more money into your car. I understand when buying a used car you buy as is....but when you are told that there is nothing wrong with the car and that it is throughly inspected is a completely different story. So far I had to replace brakes for 293, struts for 680, and now ball joints and alignment for 800. They take full advantage of people needing a car. Then when you say something to them they don’t do anything about it. It wouldn’t be a problem if they was upfront about it but being shady is ridiculous
I leased a 2017 Camry 3 years ago and liked the car so much I decided to purchase after the lease. I called Toyota financial to purchase outright and they told me I had to go through the dealership. The dealership contacted me and was under the impression I wanted to turn my lease in on a new vehicle. When I told them I wanted to buy my current lease they changed there tune and was not helpful at all. I had to call Toyota financial and work with them directly because the dealership would not help. My salesperson finally called when I had already completed the loan process elsewhere. I was planning on bring the car back for service but I was treated so poorly I will just go else where.

We were able to purchase a beautiful vehicle, newer than our trade in, less miles, and in excellent condition. Dan made this a wonderful experience from the minute I walked in. I made an appointment for 1pm and he was at the door waiting for me when I walked in. The vehicle was ready for the test drive and after a very brief check in, we were on our way. Dan was knowledgeable about the vehicle I was test driving and how it compared to other similar vehicles from other manufacturers. The negotiation process was respectful and professional and left me feeling like I received a fair and honest deal (the car was over $1500 left than the same vehicle at another dealer who was supposed to have the lowest prices in town). Overall, I would highly recommend Dan and Summit Toyota.

Just purchased an Avalon and considered it a great sales experience. I looked at cars for several months and visited lots of dealerships. I really enjoyed this dealership. Big Al was a great salesman. He was not pushy in any way. He was informative and friendly and let me take my time in making up my mind about the purchase without any pressure. When it came time to deal he seemed up front and presented a good deal without the need for a lot of haggling. The manager was equally friendly and again did not seem to need to play any games during the sales process. I made the decision to purchase the car, agreed to a price over the phone after having looked at the car twice and two days later picked up a beautiful new car. No one wasted my time at the dealership trying to sell me extra products I did not need. Everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend this dealership for a new car purchase.
Sales person was very delayed in responding to me/calling me back about a van I was interested in. I wanted to spend the least amount of time at the dealership as possible and do most of the leg work via phone. Was short with me when I asked if we could get a bit lower his response was how do you expect me to do that?. He also told me the dealership was really busy. Guess they didnt need my business then.
I wanted a rare vehicle, a Prius Prime. Dave Datsko went out and find the model that I wanted in the color that I wanted within 2 weeks in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and the middle of a microchip shortage. Unlike another dealership that I wont name, this dealership wanted my business and worked like heck to close the deal.
The dealership was great! John H. was easy to work with and made the deal easy and quick. There was no pressure and they helped me out with some negative equity on my trade. They had to locate the vehicle and did within a day and when I went in to finance, I was in and out in an hour and half. Awesome!

I started going back to this dealership after being told my battery was bad at some national chain shop (I cant remember the name of the place). I used to work on cars so I thought something was wrong with their estimate. So by chance I brought it to this Toyota dealer ship and was amazed at how far they have come with their service. Not only are they knowledgeable they are friendly. Yea thats right I said friendly. Am automotive place with a personality. To top it off their prices are competitive. In fact the prices are the same as Tire Source or Goodyear. I am very satisfied with the service quality, professionalism and cleanliness of their shop. I gave 5 stars because in spite of how busy they were they squeezed me in for an oil change and I was out the door in about an hour. That included a cat wash (free of charge) and an air filter that would have cost more at Wal-Mart.

If I could rate lower then 1 star I would. The lack of communication skills this dealership has is astounding. I would equate it to a kindergarten level. It took over 2 months to get a car from them and they kept me in the dark the entire time. I would call and text my sales person and talk to a manager and nothing would get resolved. When I finally was getting my truck they increase the price saying they couldnt do the agreed upon price any longer. I asked to speak to the sales manager and he didnt have the balls to come talk to me. I will never go back there for anything and I will tell people to never go there. They did nothing to try to make me happy and were only concerned with selling the vehicle

HORRIBLE experience with Dan. So, we came to buy a car for friends. Dan was rude, disrespectful, tried to make me co-sign other people without explaining why, then he said to them that I am a bad friend if I wont co-sign for them! tried to manipulate the situation, offered them 25% interest rate with a fishy lender that isnt even registered, tried to make fun of my accent, tried to take advantage of me being foreigner, and at the end it was the worse customer service Ive had in my life, I doubt toyota usa is aware of who sells on their behalf.

John was so incredibly helpful, and made the buying process super easy. After being hounded by greasy salesmen at shady dealerships, John’s no-pressure demeanor definitely made us wish we’d started at Summit and saved ourselves some time. We bought the first car he showed us, and although we haven’t had it very long, we are extremely happy with our 2015 Corolla.John has the swagger, charm, and blue eyes of Frank Sinatra himself. They checked, but didnt screw air filter cover back. I got home and found it out..and they pour in way too much oil, which could damage the engine (1inch more than required-dipstick on photo!) They did rotation, but didnt check the tyre pressure, which was very low (27, but recommended is 36)so I had to stop at Giant Eagle gas station. They messed all service they performed. I didnt plan to write this review, but it happened already second time. This is not written with hatefulness, just sharing my experience. Unfortunately, not a good one.
The worst customer service ever!!! We had a lease that was returned on time, the dealership didnt provide any copy that certifies the return and kept charging for several more months even though the car was returned! Called many times where they ping pong to different people! Please stay away if you dont want to face similar issues.
Bought my first car here! Came in on a Sunday having price shopped at Carmax and Ganley prior to for a 2018 Rav4. somehow lucked out and was assisted by the general manager, Jim. super nice guy. gave him my price range and he worked with me and was transparent in calculating to achieve that financial goal. after closing the sale, he hollered to have another model in a completely different color pulled around for me, and for a split second my stomach dropped before realizing that he was just joking around.LOL Super nice dude. Also, John Heslep was a tremendous help every step of the way. Such a personable guy and very informative. He took the time to show me every single gadget and gizmo before I left the lot and even called me the next day to see how things were going. Great guy and a true believer in the brand. Also kind enough to escort me around the back of the building to the dumpsters without making me feel bad that I forgot that I threw a garbage bag in the trunk of my trade-in earlier that day. Finally, one character that certainly cannot go without mention is Bill. Very gracious and super sweet guy. He broke down the contractual obligations and helped me understand everything in layman’s terms. Nicest guy. The team at Summit Toyota is incredible. I forgot to mention the random salesperson that offered me a drink and ran to grab it for me even though she was working another sale. Exemplary service. I would highly recommend attending Summit Toyota for your next car buying experience and just skip all of that other riffraff. Hands down no comparison!

I cant say enough good things about my experience at this dealership. I contacted the dealership earlier in the week to make an appointment to have an airbag recall addressed. I asked for an appointment later in the week and was immediately accommodated and the work was scheduled. I arrived today and was greeted by a service advisor named Jennifer Sheldon. Jennifers knowledge, professionalism and warm and engaging personality immediately put me at ease. Jennifer advised me that there were actually 2 recalls on my car. The second unbeknownst to me. She told me not to worry theyd take care of that too while I was there. Youre waiting area was beautiful and comfortable. The free Wi-Fi was a plus. Every staff member I observed was welcoming and helpful. I know where Ill do business in the future.
After spending many many hours at many different dealerships, Bob Watterson was the best salesperson I had encountered. He was extremely helpful, considerate, and most of all, non-pressuring. I dont write reviews. I am not fond of car dealerships. HOWEVER - Jason Hahn and the rest of the Summit Toyota staff took what was a bad day and made it a GREAT day! If you want straight talk, respect, efficiency, and a bit of humor in your car-buying experience, youll find it here. Jason and the sales team, as well as the service department, go out of their way to make sure you get what you need, at the price you want to spend. This dealership is one of a kind. They have figured out how to keep customers coming back - they listen, they HEAR, and they treat you like royalty! Theyve earned my trust (a VERY rare thing). This level of enthusiasm is not my norm, so youve got to believe theyre good!
They tried to over charge us by $3000 on a car that they promised to fix and didnt. Wont recommend to anyone.To reply to what you said I didnt actually offer $2500 I offered $1500. And KBB and Edmunds both had the car listed at the price I offered. Yes the miles are lower but its still a car that didnt get the repairs promised.
My girlfriend and I were interested in a car at this location and upon visiting them all seemed to be going well. The car was great, people were friendly and it seemed like things we good to move forward. After discussing financing, my girlfriend decided she would put money down to hold the car as she wanted to do a little research and test drive it to a local mechanic for inspection.The reps said we could do an overnight test drive to get it to the mechanic and said the money down would hold the car for her.That night, her mom called the dealership (without telling us or us asking her to) and tried to renegotiate price. We knew this wasnt going to happen as we already put money down and signed. The manager, Scott, decided to call my girlfriend and berate her over the phone regarding the call the was completely out of our control. This is my girlfriends first car purchase, mind you, so now she is essentially scared to go get the car she fell in love with. He went on about how they never do this for customers, never hold cars and explained he would just refund the money and deal with all the work of putting the car online. Yes, he tried to make it sound like posting a vehicle online was difficult work. Something that takes a few minutes of time.We took the car to a mechanic and two issues were spotted. We shared our concerns with the sales rep, who pretty much tried to tell us it was expected wear and tear. The issues was oil splatter over the engine (possible gasket seal) and a clip on the bumper was broken causing weathering on the frame. After their mechanic looked at it, they discovered an engine piece needed replaced to fix it and they would order the clip. Its been over 1 month since the clip was ordered and when we asked about the part they pretty much played it as if it never happened.Returning to pick up the car, everyones demeanor to us was beyond poor, as if we were a burden to them getting the car. The only pleasant person was the financing guy, who was very friendly and assured we were looking at all directions and had the numbers to make an informed decision.Post-purchase support was pretty much non-existent at this point. All this does is shows this place is nothing but a normal dealership, who doesnt care about customers but rather that they make money on a car.Would not recommend.
We had a great experience with this dealership. I like to make decisions with lots of information so we decided what kind of car we were looking for (used carolla 2015 or 2016) and looked through inventories on line before we ever came to the lot. There were two cars at this lot we were interested in. When we arrived Doug Ebie met us outside and asked a few questions about our needs and interests. He then took us immediately to see the two cars of interest. He answered lots of questions but never tried to change our minds (like upgrading us to a new car or convincing us to buy a truck), which surprised me because every other lot I have been to Ive had to convince the sales guy I know what Im after. Doug was also very patient. I fancy myself a bit of a gentleman mechanic and Doug never even rolled his eyes as I climbed all over and under the car (at least that he let me see). Purchase was quick and efficient and Doug was helpful throughout. I dont have enough experience with the whole organization to go five star yet but am certainly impressed with my first interaction.
With expecting a third child, my wife and I reluctantly decided to get a mini-van to accommodate our growing family. Our experience with Summit Toyota was not only informative but they made our experience enjoyable. Their sales team, financing department and management teams all contributed to not only helping us chose our mini-van but when we completed our transaction not only were excited about our purchase but we decided that all future purchases were going to come exclusively from Summit. In fact, while researching and purchasing our Sienna I also became enamored with the Highlander - the only problem was I still had 8 months left on my existing lease. When I expressed my desire to get a Highlander the Summit team not only worked with me to find the right fit but they also helped me through the process of getting out of my current lease (and their relationships and leverage helped me not get screwed - which had I gone it alone Im confident I would have either paid through the nose to get out or it would have not worked economically).Bottom line: best car buying experience. Their attention to detail and service made this transaction smooth and seemless. A+++

I am credit handicapped,if you know what I mean. I was transported to their dealership to test drive and possibly purchase a vehicle that I knew was in the range of payments that I could afford. Needless to say they didnt have financing for me through the regular means. So they just tossed me to All Ohio Loans who decided what car I was going to have to buy as well as 2000 to 2500 down and I had to buy a car that was way out of my budget. So needless to say they were setting me up for a repo to occur. I dont recommend that dealership to anyone.
I scheduled ahead to look at the vehicle I was interested in and the vehicle was ready. After a test drive and deciding upon the purchase Scott DeFabbo worked well with me. Plans were made to finalize paperwork the next morning after a few items were corrected from test drive. Once again vehicle was ready to go. The paper work was almost ready to go when I arrived at the time I stated I would be there, but had to wait for a short while. This is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Once paperwork was ready the rest of the process went very smoothly.
I had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Summit Toyota recently. I initially found a vehicle online, and called to inquire, and had the fortunate pleasure of talking with John Heslep. My wife and I are very inexperienced car buyers, and John was with us every step of the way to ensure we were satisfied not only with the car, but the services rendered as well. It means a lot to us to work with a person whos first concern is the customer, and not pushing the sale. The dealership itself was clean, friendly, professional, and very well presented.I strongly encourage anyone to stop in and check out Summit Toyota, and if you are lucky, find and speak with John. You will get nothing less than the best service possible.
Bob Watterson, who took care of me while I was buying a car, was very professional and could answer all the questions I had right away. He took all the time I needed and should I have to recommend a sales man there, I would definitely recommend him! All paperwork was also handled professionally and done very quickly. I am very happy with my new car!
I went to trade in my car, I would have had no problem paying off the remaining balance of my financed car to start a lease. However, salesmen Steve keep steering out the door when i asked him possible outcomes before I paid off the rest of the amount right then and there. He favorite saying is it is just simple math. I was not suppose to meet with him anyway , I suppose to meet a frank however he was off for the day as Steve stated. But, strangely as I was leaving the place Frank called me as if I stood him up. By this time, I was frustrated went to get me a car else. Thank you for nothing Summit Toyota.
This is my 2nd lease from Summit. They make car buying easy and Stephen Robbins is so nice and down to earth. He is someone I trust. I love their service department, too. Fast and excellent service. A clean car afterwards and the service floor is so clean you can eat lunch off of it!
Looking to buy a new car and was working a deal with one of the salesperson. They treated me like Im illiterate (Not sure if its due to my race) and kept telling me to ignore the Out The Door price and just focus on the monthly payment. The minute the manager came in, he started offering me random stuff to justify their price. The minute he sees that Im not falling for it, he told me to hit the road. I asked for some of the paperwork I did with the salesperson just in case I might change my mind and I was told youre not getting any of that. This is one of the worst customer service Ive ever experienced in my life. Manager should be fired! He lacks the communication skills needed to interact with people. I am never returning to this dealer ever again.
I went into Toyota not expecting much, and Dan S. took time out of his day to get me into an AMAZING car! I’m so in love with it! He got me out of a car I hated and into one I can’t wait to drive! Such a smooth ride and a slick looking car. He was so nice , patient and funny. I’m always nervous to do things on my own but he made this experience a great one! I couldn’t be happier with my decision!
The purchasing experience with Dan was excellent. They had the vehicle we wanted at a fair price. We were an out of state buyer there was some confusion and frustration with the title. PA has some weird requirements and it took a while. Thankful that Summit stuck with us through it and got everything done from their end.
I am writing to tell you of a positive experiences I had being a customer at Summit Toyota.I had emailed back and forth with Frank Lawson over the weekend after doing my due diligence on what car to buy; and after two delays due to the weather on Sunday I finally made it to the dealership this morning, albeit 30 minutes late.I had explained to Mr. Lawson ) not only that I wanted to purchase a new Toyota, but I had a problem with providing a title immediately to my then car ( now I am a happy Toyota owner). I also told Frank that if I could not resolve that issue this morning I was going to have to drive back and forth to Chicago 832 miles roundtrip) today and tomorrow. Despite the fact that 2 other dealers in Stark County ( where I live) had told me there was nothing they could do for me, Mr. Lawson checked with his managers and told me there was a work around.Figuring I had nothing to lose, I got packed for the trip to Chicago with the intent of driving to Chicago if/when I was informed at Summit Toyota that the problem was indeed insurmountable.When I arrived Frank introduced me to Bob Watterson; and Bob showed remarkable patience (and missed lunch) as I was at Summit Toyota for the better part of 5 hours..I also was sure that I knew that based on my online research what I wanted was a Corolla. As it turned out I was wrong, the Corolla literally was not a good fit for me. Similar to a problem I had 30 years ago when I bought a Mitsubishi Eclipse and could not sit in it for 10 minutes without having back pain, as soon as I sat in the Corollas driver seat I had radiating back pain.. Two weeks later I had to trade it in on an Infiniti instead. That fiasco cost me about $2,000, and I did not want to relive that experience.When I explained this to Bob, rather than giving up Bob and I discussed other options including the Prius, the Rav 4 and the Camry and their cost. As we discussed the situation Bob suggested looking at the Camry L. Unfortunately the non-power drivers seat in the Camry L did not resolve the issue. We then moved on to the LE which had better lumbar adjustment options it did not reproduce my back symptoms and I decided to buy it.I then was helped by Blake Johnson who not only explained the financing but was able to actually lower the monthly payment allowing me to add two protection packages and stay within my monthly payment parameters. Blake even got me adhesive to attach my Easy Pass to the windshield of the Camry.I had not one but three good experiences at Summit ToyotaFrank actually looked into my issue, and was able to come up with a workable solution.Bob took ownership of the seating problem, rather than watch me walk out the door and spent the necessary time to find me a car that would work for me.Blake rather than just proceeding with what I was prepared to accept took the extra step to lower the payment and to avail myself of two of the vehicle protection programs Summit Toyota offered that I otherwise would have gone without.I will happily recommend Summit Toyota to whoever might ask about a Toyota dealer, even if it is a longer drive than to the local dealer here in Stark County.
I was interested in a new Tacoma, and stopped by Summit to check out the trucks they had. I connected with Stephen Robbins, whos low pressure approach really appealed to me. I love a new vehicle, but have always disliked the haggling, pressure, and process of buying a new car. Stephen and the guys at Summit have restored my faith. They let the product sell itself, and offered help and answers without pressure. Once I made up my mind on what I wanted, Stephen had the exact truck I wanted within a couple of days. That was topped off by a great price (as compared on Truecar) and a smooth delivery and trade-in process.
I told Dan what I was looking for and he found it and gave me a quote. All this before I even visit the dealership. Once there, we went for a test drive and I decided I wanted more in the package. Before I left we looked at something similar to what I wanted and settled on the price. He found it in the color I wanted and I was behind the wheel in just a few days. I was expecting it to take much longer. Not only was Dan great to work with, but every other staff member I met solidified my confidence that I came to the right dealership to make my purchase.
Stephen worked hard to get us the car we really wanted at the payment we could afford. We were ready to give up on a car we really liked due to our credit situation but Stephen went to bat for us and got us a great rate that we didnt think was possible. Ill be sure to send anyone I know that needs a car to Summit Toyota!

First they sent me away and refused to honor the warranty. Then the manager told me to call him, but never answered his phone or messages that I left. Finally I got ahold of someone who said theyd order the parts and schedule an appointment to honor the warranty. I showed up to the appointment, and after sitting there for an hour, they told me that they hadnt even ordered the parts yet and Id have to come back. This dealership is so incompetent, unprofessional and disrespectful of customers. Im sick of wasting my time here.
Dave Datsko was great helping me get the 2016 Camry I wanted. The features were what I wanted and financing was easy too.No pressure and all questions answered.Looking forward to using Summit Toyota for the lifetime powertrain warranty when the Toyota service schedule is followed.

I just leased a 4runner. My salesman is Bob Watterson. I have leased my past three vehicles at this dealership and with the same salesman. I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else. Its easy, low pressure, and they always seem to accommodate my needs without hassle. I have never had a negative experience at this dealership in regards to both sales and service. I highly recommend both Bob Watterson and Summit Toyota.

My review stands, but I should have included the story.I emailed all morning with Frank Lawson and provided very specific criteria for the car. Franks email said, Please see the attached spec sheet for a white Camry XSE with the black pano roof and black interior. This is one of two cars out there, and it is also a 2018. MSRP is $36,082, discounted price after rebate $29,235, OTD price $32,045. I did not have time to print the attached sheet to find out it was not the right car and did not have all the options we asked him to find. You are correct, my fault for not checking your teams work.We were waited on 30 minutes after arriving and after a scheduled appointment. It took over 40 minutes to get the offer in front of us. Of course it was not a car with all the options which we requested.Buyer beware, they may present a car to you and it is up to you to figure out the differences between what you requested and what they present. .If someone would have been honest before I drove an hour for the wrong car, I may have signed the deal. But no one honest about it.
Everyone at Summit Toyota was wonderful, excellent experience! We were already owners of a Toyota Corolla so we new Toyota would be on the top of our list. After a really bad experience at another dealer, it was a refreshing change to go back to Summit Toyota! Bob Watterson provided all the detail that we requested, he new his products and was able to talk about the positive things of the Toyota vehicles without bashing other dealers just trying to make a sale (which is what we experienced at the other dealership). Bob was able to show us different options with the Toyota Rav4 and even got it in the RED color we wanted! Everyone at the dealership was welcoming and friendly it made the entire experience worth it! Everyone we dealt with during the sale was extremely helpful with NO pressure in purchasing items we didnt want. They explained everything to us and let us make our final decision! We cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Summit Toyota. We will be back!!!!
Our salesman was Rod Patterson. I like to look a car over thoroughly before I make a decision. Rod arranged for me to look it over in the service area, talk to the detailers, service techs, whoever I needed. Not pushy at all. I would call Rod a facilitator, not a salesman. He wanted me to be happy with the car, not just sell something.Note that all the folks at Summit were helpful and courteous. I will shop there again the next time I need a car.
I go to Ganley because of my prior sales night mare. I will never stop in that store again untll I return my leased car.I never had several trips to the dealer ship my application was stuck in cyber space it what I was told. I didnt find out until I couldnt make a payment. Also your dealership almost left me with expired plates until I came up there on the last day. Which could have cost me a violation or worse. When your system issue was corrected Toyota was calling me for a delinquent payment. Your finance and sales person passed the buck on each other. They also said they would credit me a payment for the inconvenience. When I asked for credit they said they never said that. When I reported you all to Better Business you ignored my complaint but took the Secretary of State complaint seriously and did credit the payment Please own up and dont cover up your mistakes. I never made several trips to your store. My ducks are always in a row when it comes to business. I have good credit pay my bills and gave you all of the information the same day.
Stephen is an incredible sales man! He answered all my questions and if he didn’t know the answer he would find out and get back with me. I would highly recommend this dealership, Stephen, and many of the other salesman and workers that helped me in my shopping and buying process. I am very satisfied with my new 2019 Toyota Highlander. 2022-02-09The wife and I saw that their truck prices have remained around sticker, while everyone else in the nation has sky rocketed. So we made a 2hr drive to their location, and was met but friendly and outstanding staff. They explained the buying process clearly and were not pushy or cheesy. Our sales man Dave was outstanding, he put together our order and kept us informed during the build. Closing was just as easy and speedy. Now Im on the road with a brand new truck and love it, these guys rock.

2022-02-22I ended up leasing a 2022 Tundra from Nevin who was extremely helpful! Everyone at the dealership was very friendly, polite, and did a great job working with my budget in final negotiations. Not to mention after visiting a couple other dealerships, they are the only one that told me they were not applying the market adjustment to their vehicles. Huge plus! Once again contact Nevin if you are looking for a new Toyota.

2022-04-27Our “local” Toyota dealer we’ve been business with for nearly 20 years got too greedy during the car shortages caused by supply issues and did what most other dealers did and were charging a premium price above normal. They were upfront about it. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you have to.We called all around and we discovered Summit Toyota in Akron. We drove over one hour from our home to do business with them!We met with John Heslep and he made the purchase of our new vehicle as easy as it could be. Very relaxed atmosphere at the dealership with no sales pressure or salesmanship games. We knew what we wanted and he provided what we wanted at the price we were willing to pay.Summit Toyota doesn’t charge the price gouging premium. John made trading in our other Toyota painless also. As did their finance manager. This is my wifes car and John treated my wife professionally and with respect.Needless to say, but Summit Toyota now has all our future business even though it’s over a one hour drive away!

2021-12-22I bought my 2017 Tundra a few days ago. I’ll preface this by saying I really hate buying cars. The whole thing is stressful and annoying. But I will say that I enjoyed the overall experience at Summit Toyota. Nevin Boland was my salesmen and he was great, I never felt any pressure. I would definitely recommend working with him. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful as well! I probably overpaid but the price was in line with other trucks on the market and you can’t beat Summit Toyota’s warranty. I figured they would haggle me on my trade but they came in with a reasonable offer first thing. For what it’s worth I think they were honest and up front, and I would buy from them again.
