Management and staff were very helpful answering any questions that I had. The new clubhouse will be a hot spot for members and potential events. The grounds are well kept, clean, and enticing for the pro, or novice golfer. Their elaborate grill menu is of 5 star quality. It was a wonderful experience and hope to return soon.
Visiting from Minnesota. Nice to get out for a round. Staff were friendly and starter was accommodating. The course was in good condition for December. More miscellaneous trash around the course than I expected. Seems like people may not respect the course and game as they should.
I have golfed here before and the course is very enjoyable. Today I was here for a lesson. I recommend Sugar Valley pro Doug Wade. He is patient and very helpful. Doug makes sure you understand why he is instructing to perform certain swing mechanics, which I appreciated.
We recently held our daughters wedding reception at the Sugar Valley Golf Club Clubhouse. It was perfect. They allowed the bridesmaids to get ready in the carriage house while the groomsmen had a fun time in a room designed for the men. Their customer service (Leesa) was fantastic and they coordinated with Christophers Catering resulting in a low stress, all fun reception for all of us!
Clubhouse layout was ok, big ballroom I would have a event their if it were catered. Golf course looked in great condition, got rained out before we could finish first hole.
Sugar Valley is a very special place. The members are very special people. With the opening of the new club house there is much to look forward to these year. If you love golf, you should definitely explore membership

I have been a member for 12 years and the course has never been better. I enjoy the members and the staff is great. When the Clubhouse is completed it will be one of the best in the area.
Had a nice wedding reception here. I believe I understood that it has been recently rebuilt. Not sure if it is publicly available. But, check it out if youre in the market for a reception site.
Very clean and quiet place, nice for golfing or just a stroll. Hard to find a peaceful place like this with how popular Sugarcreek is becoming.

2022-06-07Visitd here for a special event. Beautiful!! Loved it! So bright! Beautifully decorated! Did I mention that the food was amazing!?! The bartender and drinks were great as well! Cant complain about a thing!!!

2017-12-07The new country club is beautiful. The architecture is great and well built; the restaurant and ballroom are really nice. However, the cove ceiling in the ballroom make for pretty terribly acoustics. I wouldn’t recommend holding an event with speakers in this room.

2021-04-05Wow! We visited on Easter and enjoyed the buffet. It was outstanding! Awesome variety. Prime rib, mash tatoes, green beans, sweet tatoes, much more and a salad bar setup that was great. Then we played 18. The course is in very good shape, and quite challenging. The staff was superb! It made for a fantastic Easter day with my mom and dad. Thanks!

2020-07-31Sugar Valley Country Club is the quintessential old fashioned country club that has undergone a major overhaul. The clubhouse has been updated, an outdoor pavilion gas been added, and a secondary indoor gathering place has also been updated. The golf course makes great use of hilly terrain, and the layout is very imaginative. This course will test every club in your bag, and each hole is different. The golf pro is an excellent teacher, and the course is in great shape. The greens are fast, the rough will test your skill but not force you to hack your way out, and the bunkers are well maintained. Nice members, excellent managers, and great facilities.

2021-10-26Nice place to visit and play, im sure!?! If you must cater here, its a nightmare to cook or prepare meals for 50-150 plus ppl in a room that is 200 square feet to prep in, if that... Ridiculous at best. Where was the architect when ya needed one and yall could actually afford one?!?!?! L🙄L

2019-07-14Fantastic course! The new clubhouse is awesome. Great bar and good food.I love the ice/water machine. Load up on fluids and grab a towel before teeing off.Golf shop is loaded with great stuff too.

2020-05-21Well-kept golf course with decent service. Very hilly for walkers. So be ready for a workout if walking. Beautiful layout. Course yardage is on the lower side, so you don’t have to be a long hitter here to score well.

2020-07-27Beautiful venue for a wedding and/or reception. We just had our daughters reception here. It was an amazing night! The staff was great and worked well with the vendors we brought in. Since day one, Tamara went above and beyond! She was very helpful, super easy to work with and didnt hesitate to reach out to our daughter who was trying to coordinate things from another state! I would recommend SVGC! Its Bellbrooks hidden gem!
