I have had no problem with the quality of work...my personal issue was with the fact that my service contract ran out on my vehicle and within the same week of this happening my starter went out in my vehicle and they charged me 891 dollars for the repair...figuring in my past experience before i figured they would work with me on the bill...I asked to break it up into 2 separate payments of 400 apiece ..post date a few checks...and the service manager wouldnt hear it at all...so no they didnt do anything wrong...per say but they couldnt have tried to work something out.
Fantastic dealership! From my initial vehicle search all the way to driving off the lot with my new car - the staff at Stykemain Buick GMC were absolutely the most professional and most helpful auto sales staff I have ever encountered! I can wholeheartedly endorse this dealership to my family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who is in the market for a new or used car. Special thanks to Luke, Bill and Lyndi for getting me into the exact car I was looking for. Bravo Stykemain crew!
Everyone at the dealership were friendly and very welcoming. All our paper work was ready when we arrived at the dealership. They explained all of the vehicle features and asked if we had any questions before we drove off with the vehicle. What we liked the most everyone thanked us for our purchase. Great people to work with!
Wow after years and years of them doing my oil changes and small.jobs for me I even brought my last 2 vehicles from them they ripped me off bad on a fuse problem on my jeep. Which I ended up fixing myself. A blown fuse which they said was fine in writing which cost me over $200 tried to resolve today . After service Mgr came back and forth 3 times I was so upset I said do I need to go to small claims Court he went back up front and said since you said that we are no longer talking to you you have to leave this is how they treat the little guys that make them rich. Never again
I will NEVER buy a vehicle from Stykemain. Right away I could tell the salesmen did not like me at all with his forced smiles. I had been watching the jeep for about three months with nobody going after it and finally decided to take a look at it. Im all set up to buy the jeep, sign papers agreeing to price, and I go to pick it up tomorrow. Even though the back tires were in terrible condition and they flat out refused to give me new tires for free which is absolutely ridiculous that I would have already had to put money into my brand new vehicle. They also took out a nicer radio and put the factory radio in it which made absolutely no sense to me. And the car had a large chip in it that someone clealry tried to paint with nail polish, that was not shown in the photos or listed on their website. The jeep had had three different owners in four years which is a pretty big key indicator that something was wrong with it. Five hours before Im scheduled to pick up the jeep the salesmen calls me and tells me that they sold the jeep to someone else. Knowing full well I was coming in just a few hours to get it. I know that salesmen pushed for another customer to buy that jeep, nobody had touched it the whole time it was there. They are well aware of what they did and it was extremely unprofessional. Luckily I found another jeep that is in MUCH better condition, its newer, and the price is not much more than what stykemain had offered. After talking about my experience with others they informed me that this is normal behavior for Stykemain, and had nothing nice to say about them. I only hope that other buyers dont make the same mistake I almost made and buy a vehicle there.
Of the three different dealerships I have bought cars from in Ohio, this one is by far the worst. Once they get your money, they do not care to help you. They wont resolve issues that they caused. Because of their inability to listen, they override my request as to what address to use on my title and now I am stuck making payments on a car I cannot drive, as they cant extend the date on the paper tag and I cannot get a plate, even though I m required to go from one state to another to figure out this titling issue. Also, I am going to have to come out of pocket for more fees. I was told their hands are tied and have been given no other assistance. Additionally, I had made numerous calls and left messages only for them not to be returned, so I had to go in person just to get information. They gave me inaccurate information since the inception of the sale and I have been dealing with the consequences ever since. I am not supposed to be making 11 hour trips while 8 months pregnant, nor do I have the funds to pay for a car I cant use while spending money on travel and to include unforeseeable yet avoidable fees. Do not give them your business. Christys is a much better option and they actually care about you even after they already received their money.
The oil change was fine but the price for the recommended repairs was astronomical. After a quick google search of typical prices for services I found that the high end of average was less than half of what you were trying to charge. I took the car elsewhere and had the repair done for the average price. Also, a couple of the repairs suggested were not needed after I had someone else look at it. There was also someone that I overheard in the dealership using a very condescending tone toward the employees. I will not be returning either for service or new vehicles.
Excellent service from the Stykemain team. I was recently in a wreck in a car and wanted to look for a truck. Tiffanie Valdez helped me find the perfect truck for me and my kids. After a few test drives and a look at some numbers, we found that the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado was the best fit. I definitely feel a lot safer and happy. Thank you Tiffanie and the rest of Stykemain!
I stopped in to this dealership to have a look at a truck they had on their website. The salesperson I dealt with was very professional however I was treated horribly by the finance manager and the sales manager as well. I ended up purchasing the vehicle and while conducting business, staff members who were privy to all that had transpired the days before, also treated me poorly. Their treatment was very disrespectful, it prompted me to not only contact the BBB but also to write this review. I hope someone at this facility takes notice and action so that another person like myself doesn’t have to be made to feel “less than” and deal with such inappropriate behavior and condescension.
Absolutely abysmal way to treat a long time customer. A standard service to fix an air leak resulted in the technician cosmetically damaging my rim. I have called and e-mailed Stykemain a dozen times for any resolution. with ZERO replies. Do not give them your business. Update. They did make good on the repair.
I bought a used 2015 GMC Sierra from Stykemain Buick GMC. On the second day of owning the truck the battery was dead (a bad cell) and needed a jump start. Jump started the truck and fried relay board and ecm. I am now expected to pay out $1275 for the repair of my new (used) truck. Coming from a dealer, the battery should have been properly checked out prior to sale....now i am wondering what else did they not properly check. Stykemain, you have lost a customer for life and not ever a good referral. You could have worked something out to keep a customer happy. As of right now I have had the Courtesy vehicle longer than my truck that i bought.
Long story short I went to stykemains because my pickup had a misfire blinking engine light. They got it in and looked at it got a call a couple hours later great news we found the problem with your truck it needs new plugs and wires. I said great how much will that cost to which they responded $500 with parts and labor. $500 for plugs and wires anywhere else its a $200 tops repair and thats steep even, but due to there being no opeings for weeks anywhere close at any other shops I had them do the work I figured I need my truck for my job I will pay it and just get my truck back and not come here again cause of how expensive and outrageous the prices are for repair. But then I got a call back bad news your truck is still misfiring!!!! Needless to say they then charged me another $300+ in labor to try and HUNT for the problem, you can probably see where this is going yeah I now have a over $800 bill for some plugs and wires and labor and nothing was fixed on my truck its still not running and is in the same condition as when I took it there. When I asked if they could help me with a discount at least since they havent even fixed anything to help me out a bit they refused. They ended up telling me because they couldnt locate the issue which is what they are there to do and should of done they then told me that the only thing they could think to do is to get a new engine and quoted me over $10,000 to do this. I am not doing this and will never bring anything here again for anything I would read the comments on here before u decide to go to stykemains they dont value there customers and there prices are rediculous and astronomical I researched there prices and compared them and they are at least half to three times more expensive then the industry average prices on there repairs. Rediculous $800 out of my pocket for nothing, thanks for nothing!!!!! The sad thing is I use to work here in the service department and thought I would be treated right but I guess even past employees dont even matter to them. Just makes me think about how many people come in for repairs and how many of them get ripped off by over priced repairs and dont know that they are being ridiculously overcharged..
Jessica Flory was very helpful in our car buying process! She had the car sanitized and pulled up beside the building when we got there. She met us outside, and showed us the features of the car before letting us test drive it. She helped us get the maximum trade in value for our old vehicle, and was friendly throughout the whole process. She made the car buying process easy and stress free for us. We would highly recommend Stykemain Buick GMC & working with Jessica Flory as your sales representative to anyone who asked.
Very poor customer service. After purchasing vehicle and paying for was told if I had any questions please call. I had a couple question and could get no one to return my calls. Sent picture to salesman and Ethan-sales mgr, showing my concern. 3 days later was called and assured not 1 thing was wrong. Told Ethan I was driving to Florida and ask about the title and was told the title was already mailed. Receive almost 4 weeks later. The vehicle has a growling noise since driving to Florida in the front end. On May 20th called and also sent message since I had only driven the vehicle 1200 miles would there be anyway they might be able to help with the repair cost. As of today 6/5 I still have not heard from anyone form the dealership. I know I bought as is and was not asking for the deal to pay for the repairs but possible help a little.W
In October 2020 I drove out of state and purchased my 2021 GMC YUKON. I live in Arlington, Tennessee and there were no dealerships locally had the specific color, model, or features I was looking for. So after returning home and realizing my vehicle was very technical, I attempted to contact a couple of my local GMC dealerships to get assistance with learning and operating all the cool features. No luck!!!! I must say, I had become a bit frustrated and irritated being that no-one knew or was available to assist me with learning to operate my vehicle. So finally I headed over to YOUTUBE UNIVERSITY. After watching several YouTube videos, I ran across Ethan STYKEMAIN at STYKEMAIN GMC 646 miles away in Defiance, Ohio, demonstrating how to properly use the fire stick with rear-media system . So of course googled the dealership and left a message for Ethan to contact me.Unlike most car salesmen, Ethan Stykemain was very honest, helpful, and straight forward and his communication efforts were beyond my expectations. Ethan made sure all my questions regarding the rear media entertainment system and vehicle features were taken care before we ended the conversation. I can truly he talked me through set up timely and professionally. I believe Ethan deserve every opportunity to be appreciated. Once again thank you STYKEMAIN GMC for having an sincere and genuine employee , I truly appreciate his efforts in making sure my understanding was a priority.
I am getting older and decided the time was right for me to start to take advantage of the newer safety features on the newer vehicles. My kids all live over 2 hours away and to visit them I am on four lane quite a bit. I wanted to take advantage of lane assist, blind side driver etc. I found a truck I liked and we were able to work out a deal on it and so I am happy that I can now visit my kids and grandkids being more protected with the safety that I wanted.
Jess was wonderful to work with along with all the people who helped us. We told Jess what we were looking for and she made sure that the truck had everything we had asked for. We appreciated that she listened to our needs. Jess was polite and answered our questions before we even asked them!! We will come back the next time we need a new vehicle. Thanks, Jess!
Beware. Bought a vehicle from them thinking they were a reputable and respected dealership. Not even 20 min into the drive home and the check engine light came on and the air conditioning stopped working. Over the first 2 days several other issues surfaced. No one would return my calls for days. Finally the owner Joe reached out. However, it turned out he wasnt trying to help, he just wanted to make more money. Repair estimates were $500, not even including fixing the air conditioning. I just wanted him to stand behind the vehicle he sold me. When asked if he had been aware of those issues would he have fixed them before putting it on the lot and if the price would have been the same, he said he would have fixed them and the price would have been the same. I asked where the disconnect was. He said sorry thats just how it goes. All I was offered was a 25% discount with financing options and a free car wash. Now I have a new car payment on a vehicle needing repair. Was also tricked into signing GAP insurance costing me an additional $900. However, no extended warranty was even offered. I put my faith in Stykemain, you shouldnt.
We had a great experience buying from Stykemain. Luke was an excellent salesman, who was not pushy, and made my husband and I both very comfortable with the purchase of our new (to us) van. I will recommend the dealership to anyone as they have gone above and beyond to make sure that I am happy! :)
Easy scheduling online, good reminders via text and email before the appointment, free car wash, excellent full synthetic oil change and tire rotation service, plus nice people. I live in Toledo but I bought my Buick at Stykemain and Ill bring both cars here for service whenever I can!
My initial experience was great, found the car I wanted at a great price. Then I drove the car home and found it was missing a license plate light bulb cover. Keep in mind this is a small piece of plastic that snaps in place with no tools required. I called the dealership and they said no problem, theyd fix it. When the small plastic part arrived, they ended up charging me a total of $50 for the part and labor. Yes you read that correct...LABOR!!! To snap in a small plastic lens with their fingers. A part that should have been on the car when I drove off the lot!!:EDIT/UPDATE: Joe Stykemain sent me a check for $28.88 today. Im assuming this is to cover the Labor that I was previously charged. While I could argue that the entire charge of $50 should be refunded, I understand that they have a business to run and thats probably just not going to happen. Either way, good on them for at least trying to fix the situation, that gos a long way in my book. As of this edit, I have updated my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars.Bottom line: This dealership will NEVER have my business again in the future.
I have purchased 2 cars from Anthony Kirk. I even drove 4 hrs 1 way because of the great service. I recommend him to everyone. He worked me through phone and text until he was able to find me the right vehicle. He was extremely patient with me throughout the process. He never pressured me and returned my calls and texts very quickly.
Excellent customer service. We started vehicle shopping in May . Didnt find what we needed. So we waited. Jessica Flory kept us informed when a different vehicle came in the car lot. In September we brought a vehicle that had more features than we ever expected ! Great communications!!
I was in the market for a truck and everyone else kept shutting me down or giving me problems. Nathan and Ethan and the rest of the guys made it happen for me and i couldnt be happier. This dealership sales and administrative teams are awesome and will definitely try their hardest to place you into a vehicle! I would recommend 100%
Ive been helping my grandma because her lease is coming up soon and she doesnt like dealing with car salesmen. She is getting close on her miles (her lease isnt up until Oct.) and when we stopped by the dealership we were greeted by Jessica who asked what we were looking for. I explained her situation and she gave us a couple options and even brought up a few things that we never thought about. My grandma has always been a car person but Jessica convinced her to look at the Terrains and she loved it! We will definitely be working with Jessica when the time comes!
They are dishonest and do not care once you spend your money. Do not waste yo time. They even like to lie in the replies. Please go to Christy. They do not accept accountability for their mistakes and will not assist you to correct them. You’ll get a quicker response writing a bad review than you will get from calling.
My husband and I came in for our appointment on Saturday, August 18th. There are not enough words on the outstanding customer service, attention and hospitality we felt during our visit. Ethan and Luke were truly incredible and truly interested on how they could help us on what we needed. We not only left with what worked for our budget and family, but also having a reliable and dependable vehicle we can count on now. Thank you again.
I always have such a great experience every time I come in to Stykemain Buick GMC. The staff are all so friendly and my car is always well taken care of! Emilio Pearson is always exceptional with his service skills and he is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure all my needs are met!!
I bought a car from these guys and, ever since, theyve been nothing but nice and helpful to me. Mike J. makes sure that if I have any problems or concerns, Im taken care of as soon as they can and make me aware of what the problem was. Im always asked before anything gets fixed, so Im not charged with something I wasnt aware of. Id recommend these guys to anyone. Theyre an amazing team of people
Reached out numerous times over the course of nearly 6 months to process my GAP insurance cancellation. I could not get a response from the dealer beyond one voicemail that I returned to no avail. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. At the very least, dont buy any additional coverage that theyll try to sell you.
Purchased a used Mini Cooper from them. Sales team was awesome. I’ve had the car for a little over a year and it needed service. Oil change. Being that it is a Mini they are different when it comes to regular maintenance, as some models don’t have dipsticks. When I went to pop the hood nothing happened. I called Stykemain Buick to see if they could service the car. They said no problem scheduled me for later that day. An hour drive an hour waiting and they could not get the hood open either. When I got into my car I noticed the trunk button located right next to the hood handle was no longer in its spot. It was actually hanging down by a wire. When I got home I pulled the handle and ther was absolutely no resistance, it just flopped. There was resistance when I took it to them. I finally found a local shop that does work on Mini Cooper took it to them. The handle was broken, the hood latch for the left was not even hooked the hood latch to the right was broken. Since there was resistance on the handle when I took it in the handle wasn’t broken. When I left Stykemain the handle was broken. Spoke with Joe and he doesn’t seem to think they should be responsible for the damage they caused.Go elsewhere when looking for a vehicle. I have 3 mini keys given to me when I bought the car from them. They stated all three sets worked. Only one set works. They flat out lied there. If they lie about keys what else are they going to lie about?
These people don`t care about people or their time. They only care about themselves and how many cars they can sell in what amount of time. I go through their process and credit app only to be told the next morning they sold the car out from under me. What a waste of a customers time. I would go elsewhere if I were you. There are plenty of other dealers who actually appreciate their customers and their time.
I’m blown away by the customer service, genuine concern, and overwhelming accommodations that were afforded to me. So much as working directly with the owner, who was extremely clear, concise, and educating in all questions I had. While out of town I had a very untimely issue with my vehicle. Stykemain took what seemed like an overwhelming issue and quickly took care of me and had me on the road again. Not an employee walked by without making sure I was being taken care of. I contacted by phone multiple dealership, to which none offered help or gave any options. The silver lining in that was clear once I arrived at this dealership. Thank you!!
Worst customer experience i have ever encountered from the service department! My wife took her vehicle in for a simple oil change and now having issues with the vehicle not turning off. Car has NEVER had an issue until it was in there for an oil change. Mind you they tell my wife she has all kinds of issues like filters and things when i just looked at them 2 weeks ago before our vacation. Will never do business with them again! Manager of the service department was extremely rude and very unprofessional!!
Bought a Yukon from them and now here we are 6 months later with major engine troubles. And this is the 3rd time something has come up in this time frame. Just feeling like we were sold on how honest this place was. Family owned and the owners truck. Felt as though we could trust it. Just sucks how dishonest people are. You dont just have stuff this big just happen overnight and no notice!!!!! And the vehicle was inspected and looked great. Shame on you for allowing yourself to do this to people. And after seeing some of these reviews I wish I would have looked first. Thought we found a place we could do business with in the future. Just disappointed and caused my family so much trouble.
We loved our Stykemain experience!! My husband and I bought our very first car with the help of an excellent team! We walked in and told Dean exactly what we wanted. There was no upselling, pushiness, or secrets. Dean put us in the car that we wanted, answered any question we had, and did what he could to do what was best for us. We will be back!!!
We worked with Parker and Ben and it was an amazing experience, they were very helpful and got me into a 2016 Chevy Malibu which is absolutely love! I was so close to giving up and Ben called and told me about the Malibu and I jumped on it! I would definitely reccomend this dealership!!
These guys are your best friend until you drive off the lot, when suddenly they have zero recollection of promises made. Bought a used truck which they delivered to our home as there was some maintenance being completed at time of purchase. When we received our car it came with one set of keys. I called the sales manager and owners son and he stated he would happily have another set cut for us and to just swing in sometime. Amazingly anytime we swung in, which wasn’t often since we live far from the dealership, this manager was nowhere to be found and no one knew anything of his promises. A year later I finally was able to speak with the manager about this and he has no memory of his promises. They must have a pretty small customer service budget in the sales department or they are simply not concerned with retaining customers. Needless to say I do not recommend this business if you appreciate a business who appreciates you.
Great experience all the way around. We knew what we wanted and the price range. Dean was awesome to deal with, didn’t try to upsell us into something different or more expensive. He worked to get us what we wanted at a price we wanted. Highly recommended, would definitely go back when it’s time for another vehicle.
We were notified of the vehicle we ended up buying thru Car Gurus. The dealership was a little over 100 miles away. The sales rep, Parker was very knowledgeable about the vehicles in the category we were interested in. We had an excellent buying experience. No pressure. Parker ensured some cosmetic issues were corrected and then met us halfway between our home and Stykemain’s location to deliver the vehicle. We highly recommend Parker and Stykemain.
My husbands car broke and while it was being fixed George put him in a new Terrain so we could get a feel since we had been discussing how we may want an SUV. They had amazing customer service and really made us feel important. Cody, George, and I believe his name was josh went were great, They bent over backwards to get us the vehicle we loved for the price that fit! Will be back when it’s time to lease again. Thank you!
For service they always do a good job on basic oil changes. Never tried to buy a car from them before. One thing that was odd is that they ran my car through the mechanical car wash with my bike rack on the back of the car. That’s just a big no no. Come on should no better than that.
Best car shopping experience Ive had. George really made it something special. I felt confident in the purchase that we made and that we were in good hands at Stykemain. I even take the 1 hour trip for maintenance and to chat with George. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
Dealership staff is friendly at first but completely ignore you after you purchase the vehicle. Less then a month of ownership, the car we purchased was making an odd noise from the engine bay and was told to bring it in for a diagnosis. Apparently, the diagnosis was ok and no faults appeared on the vehicle. 2 months later, the check engine light turns on so I take it to another local dealership in my area and they deem the car unsafe to operate and quote me a bill of almost $2500. I call Stykemain back and talk to Mike, the service manager. He seemed rather uninterested in my concern and would not even offer a free diagnosis, especially since they had already misdiagnosed the car. We have owned the car less then 3 months and put just 2000 miles on it and to have this many problematic faults is ludicrous. Its funny how one of the reviews states a Mustang failing their rigorous inspection criteria and was not put up for sale but the car we purchased (deemed unsafe to operate) was. I am very disappointed with the experience Ive had here. I understand purchasing a used vehicle is always somewhat of a risk but I was fairly confident in making the purchase especially after seeing the so called inspection report that was performed and the impressive state of the dealership, but where do morals and ethics come in? Would highly recommend you look elsewhere.
Went after a car I saw on the internet. Drove an hour over and then found out I couldnt get it. Turns out the financing I had was not really in the best interest of either myself or the dealership. I was discouraged, mind you this is after 2months of intense car searching and researching. Bill Ford ended up being who I worked with. Let me tell you, he was honest, to the point, and wasted absolutely no time working on figuring out a different Avenue. Went to grab a quick bite while he worked and before we finished our meal he called and said he had a couple options. In my head I played out the whole well we have this car, which I wouldnt want and itd be basic and just nothing I had wanted in a newer vehicle. Let me tell you how wrong I was....not only was the car better than I was picturing but they got me a lower payment and interest rate. I was floored and still am. It may be a haul but when it comes time to upgrade Stykemain is where I will be going. It was a great no b.s. experience and they exceeded my expectations. Thank you, truly thank you. If you made it this far reading I recommend you go to this dealer and see for yourself. I had garbage credit and still drove home a great car with a 2 year mind easing warranty. One more addition to the great experience they have sent me a great calendar and a specialized card thanking me for the business it may be small and or normal but its just that much more of great customer service which is pretty rare these days. Thank you Bill and thank you Stykemain!!!
Our experience with Parker Ruffer has been Amazingly impressive. He really cares about us and what our wants and needs are. We chose 2018 Buick Envision, and we are extremely pleased with our purchase, she is a beautiful ride. The staff at Stykemain Buick were all very helpful and kind. Willing to go above and beyond. Thank you all so much. We have been telling all our friends and family about the awesome service we received from your team. Great Job 😎😎
I live out of state, have been in contact with the dealership for weeks now. Finally planned to come down and test drive the car I wanted. I told them I wasnt comfortable at the price listed, before making the drive, they said theyd set me up with a VIP appointment and we could talk about the price and come down a bit. They called me three times to confirm my appointment including the morning of my appointment. After driving over 100 miles to test drive the car, it wasnt there. A salesman took it for the weekend to his grandparents house about 50 mins away. Then the sales manager came out and said he took the car to demo it, I confronted him about what another salesman told us about the grandparents and the sales manager said well, yeah, he did.... They called, had him drive it back, a 1 hour 45 minutes later the guy finally showed up with the car. Spoke to one of the family members and she said theyd be able to talk price. Before I got to talking price, its been over 4 hours since my original VIP appointment time and I asked if Id still be able to take the car home today since they wasted my time, they said no, and then they said theyd make an exception to drive it to me but they normally only go 25 miles from the dealership, which is funny that the salesman could demo the car way beyond that distance, but ok. The mileage was almost 3,000 miles higher than listed online, the tires were shot and after wasting hours of my time, they didnt budge on price at all, even though I said I wouldnt pay the listed price before I even made the appointment. The car has been at this dealer for 6 months and they wouldnt work with me at all even after everything that happened that morning. As a loan officer who works with dealerships all the time this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. Thanks for nothing!
I have nothing but great things to say! I went in one night just to search around and Parker came to straight to my husband and I and answered any questions we had. We test drove the car I was interested in and he instantly persuaded me to buy it! I left that night extremely happy with our purchase! When my father and I came to pick it up the next day, Parker even made my father feel welcomed! Very impressed and look forward to being part of the Buick family!!!
Bought a car from Stykemains drove it about a month. Told us nothing was wrong with it, but shortly after started to have issues with the pistons. We took it in, they gave us a loaner car with paperwork marked with a full tank but there wasn’t a full tank. When we called to see what the deal was they claimed they didn’t know but that Emilio would call us with information. This Emilo guy NEVER contacted us. Whenever we called his story would change. Then he told us the pistons were but but then said they weren’t but that we could pay $1300.00 to have them replaced. They gave us back our car with 8 miles till E which is disrespectful as a customer. This place is beyond shady. Called to speak with Emilo, Clayton answered and said “Ugh you always call at the worst times” I said “excuse me? I just called when I had a minute because I haven’t heard back from Emilio” Clayton then went into detail that Emilio had just stepped away to go take a number two. SERIOUSLY?! That’s what you say to a customer on the phone? That’s beyond disgusting. This place is a joke and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Especially when every time you call to speak with a manager or even someone big in charge they just tell you nobody is there. Worst dealership in Defiance. Emilio said we owed a $100 payment for the loaner car but that he could make that disappeared if we didn’t complain about the gas. Really? Shady business if you ask me. Don’t trust them with anything.
READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE YOU TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR BUSINESS! As others have stated, the service before the sale is excellent. After the sale however, it is a total different experience. I purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and upon arrival to my home, I smelled what I believed to be engine coolant. I actually thought I smelled it in on the lot but wasnt certain at that point. I checked the reservoir when I arrived home and it looked full so I assumed there was a slight spillage as the vehicle was serviced. After a period of a week or two however, the reservoir was low and I had to make another trip to the dealership (90 min drive each way) to sign a finance form they forgot to have me sign. I asked ahead of time to have my vehicle looked at and they agreed to do so.When I got there to sign the papers and have the car inspected, the service tech checked me in and I asked if I would incur a charge. I got the runaround and finally he talked to sales which agreed to pay for the diagnostic fee. The tech informed me the vehicle was under warranty and proposed I take it to a Chrysler dealership. They didnt even inspect the vehicle. $105 later, the Chrysler dealership confirmed a leaky radiator and informed me the radiator is not covered under power train and I was looking at a $800+ repair bill (radiator and system flush). I am 100% convinced this leak was there when I purchased the car.I sent an email to Lyndi explaining my situation and she forwarded it to the owner - Joe Stykemain himself. Joe offered me 3 options to rectify the situation - NONE of which made sense to me.1) He offered me approximately $600 discount on a care plan (extended warranty) that he estimated typically runs about $2200.- so I would pay the dealership around another $1600, and have a $100 deductible to get my car fixed. There is a major problem here: Im out $1600 and it is likely fraudulent to use the care package when I am aware a problem exists when I buy it.2) He offered me 25% on the repair cost of the vehicle but specified the work MUST be done there. The repair was estimated at $700 (radiator replacement only) by them and the service manager Mike initially reduced the price by $83. $83 is NOT 25% of 700. I pushed back and they reduced the price to $500. I can get it done locally for $500 so there was no benefit to drive 3 hrs round trip.3) - I asked Joe for a deal or to work with me on the replacement radiator. I figured I would do the work myself if I had to. Mike quoted me $328.73 after tax for a radiator. Again, the first quote was inaccurate. He is the service manager - How can he keep getting this wrong? I called a Chrysler dealership and they quoted me $224 plus tax for an OEM radiator. After an email to Joe, he said it was a mistake and the radiator should have been around $153 but it was an Autozone radiator and admitted that was at his cost. There was no discount and there was no deal! in fact, they tried to double the price initially!I was done. I asked Joe to simply ship me the radiator to make this right and leave me with a feeling he was investing in this and he flat out refused. He also admitted he was absolutely unwilling to put any money towards the part. Keep in mind that it is a $153 part for a car purchase of over 20K and I even purchased the gap insurance along with it. The only thing I asked of him was to provide a $153 par! Surely the owner can spare that but alas he refused. The way I see it, every one of those options only put more money into his pocket and took advantage of my situation. If the parts are marked up 2 fold - he was likely still making money at the 25% shop repair discount as well.On top of all of that - I am still awaiting the dealership to send me the check they owe me for 1% of the sales tax. Its been a month since I purchased the car.I have emails to back all of this up and I have made every effort to portray this 100% accurately. If you read the other reviews, you will notice a common theme with this dealership. Im not one to sling mud but I do not want others to experience this.
So I typically only give great reviews. I am not a person who gets mad easily or has issues with people. That being said, I will never recommend anyone to this dealership EVER! My husband has bought LOTS of cars (at least 1 car a year) and this place is by far the worst experience that we have EVER had. We live 3 hours away from this dealership, we put a $500 deposit down on a truck for them to hold it so he could go look at it. When my husband got there it was not at all what we were told it was. There was paint missing on the one side of the bed and a dent in the drivers side door, (mind you we were told this truck was in mint condition) my husband decided to test drive this truck even though the look was not at all what we were told it was. When he put it into gear the truck clunked. With that being said my husband decided this was not the truck he wanted and left. A few weeks goes by and we realize that the $500 is still on our card. My husband called and asked when this was going to be removed? He was told that its not going to be..... That it was a fee to take it out of their inventory.... We were NEVER told that this was a nonrefundable fee (This truck was never taken off the internet or out of their inventory). They said they were going to pull the call to listen to it. I never told them that all of this was done via the salesmans cell phone... Neither the less we have turned them into the BBB and into our financial institution to dispute this charge. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My fiancee and me purchased a 2016 Chevrolet equinox yesterday and we told them we wanted weather tech floor mats for the front and back seats. The sales lady told me that they would cost about $1000 and that they wouldnt be able to do that but they could do the cheaper all weather floor mats so we agreed to that. I looked the weather tech floor mats up to see if they really cost that much to find out they only cost $180 for the front and back and the cheaper set only cost $100. So they lied to us over $80. Not a huge deal but definitely disrespectful to lie to a customer like that. Otherwise very friendly employees, answered any questions we had if they didnt have the answer they would find out for us, and clean business with complementary coffee and bottled water.I called them back to talk about the issue and asked to talk to the owner. He was currently unavailable, so I talked to Ethan about the issue and he apologized multiple times, he was very professional regarding my issue. After talking we were able to get my issue resolved and I feel much better about it.
This is a very clean and professional place to even just browse for a car. The salesman, Cody Thompson, was very helpful in finding a vehicle that suited my needs. Although I did not purchase a car, Cody went above and beyond trying to find a car for me. I will definitely be back.
Bill was so helpful in helping me find the perfect vehicle for my family and I. Bill was very attentive to what I needed in a vehicle ( safety, AWD, suv etc.)He took the time to explain all the technical jargon, reviewed all the specs of the vehicle with me, sat down and took the time to research the best loan company for me. I received excellent customer service from him. Thumbs up!! I couldn’t be happier with my new Acura!
Very disappointing customer service. Im giving 2 stars because I am happy with my car but in the end the customer service was THE WORST. They dont keep their word, once they have your money they could care less about anything that they promised. The owner is RUDE. We got off to a bad start which was just really strange and then he was just vindictive after that and over ruled any promises made by the sales person. My suggestion...go somewhere else. This RUDE owner doesnt deserve your hard earned money.
I would give them negative stars if I was able to!!! We researched the internet for a used pick up truck. We had several on a list and visited Stykemains to look at a 2007 Ford F150. We test drove it and liked it but had one more on the list to look at. We made a deal with Parker, a sales person that was helping us. The agreement was for a certain price with a few conditions. One of the repairs that was promised was made but it was also promised that a rear quarter panel have some body work performed. We made arrangements to come pay for the vehicle and received word just an hour before coming that the body work was not done. My husband paid for the truck with the intention that the body work be finished. After numerous calls finally got a hold of Parker and he did not know where our truck was. He thought we had picked it. He promised the body work would be done by the next Thursday. He called Tuesday and left a message that truck was done. We drove to Defiance only to see that NONE of the body work was complete!! They are crooks! We would have went and seen the last truck and probably not have done business with them if they had told the truth about not doing all the promised work. Now they send me fliers to come have oil changes. Take me off your mailing list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The staff here does not listen to what you say. I was very specific about my schedule and they kept ignoring me. I even let them know specifically when I would arrive to have my vehicle appraised and to purchase the vehicle I was interested in. Then they turned around and sold the vehicle within hours of when I was to arrive. They made me feel I was the first option to purchase this vehicle. They didnt even let me know the vehicle was purchased. I found out on their website. Such disrespect! I will recommend to shop elsewhere in town. There are more honest dealers in town than Stykemains!
Terrible Terrible Business. This company isnt for the customer. All politics and how much money they can profit. After over 9 hours of sitting around, we decided on a vehicle. We were asked to put a deposit of a $100 cash down to hold for 2 days. We ended up deciding not to get this vehicle less than 24 hrs later, and now they will not refund us our money. Saying its non-refundable. This is not stated on the receipt nor was verbalized to us. Too bad a company like this is so hard up to screw people over that they have to scam a $100 bill from potential customers. Ethan Stykemain is a horrible business man. Very untruthful so please Beware before you decide to buy from them. Look around, shop. There are tons of good honest car dealerships to choose from
The repair work was completed as I expected. I arranged for service to call me after the work was completed so that I could pick up the car. I was not contacted. Finally I called to see if the car was ready to pick up. This really wasnt a problem since service had arranged for me to drive a loaner so I had transportation. Otherwise your service crew treated me royally. They always have.
Called 9:30 am about a car, told it was still available, got pre qualified and had the check ready, and still no call with total needed. Called several times and NOTHING returned to close the deal. Gave up at 4pm, received a call at 8pm to be told car was sold. Spent entire day with money in hand ready to spend and treated the way I was. My banker even called to get papers to be able to cut check fyi everyone I know will be aware on how I was treated.
Here I am a year later with a lemon. It barely works and is now collecting dust in my driveway. We cannot afford another car right now- so my kids and I dont get to leave the house unless my husband is home. If I could sue this dealership I would. My car didnt even last a full year before it died. My opinion? Go to someone who cares. My mothers cousins who live in defiance- are close with the family who runs this and I thought I was in good hands. But I have four more years of payments on a car that has been giving me issues since day one and I dont know what to do.Im not saying they cant find a good car to sell to people or that they dont have good experiences... what I am saying? They will put you in anything to sell it. Im just really sad- for a family thats growing we will just have to wait 4 years and make sure the next company we buy from has a new families interest in heart!
My Husband and I leased a vehicle. Had a wonderful experience. Then we decided to purchase a vehicle. George,Cody,Bill, were very accommodating thru the process.I would definitely recommend Stykemain Buick GMC to my family and friends. Looking forward for the next vehicle purchase.
I always have fantastic service when I come, they are so awesome and always get a hello Tara how ya doing.. they are so friendly, i always have Emilio Pearson help me with everything!!! He always is so friendly and happy.. hes willing to help me out with anything that I have questions about... I would recommend him or this dealership to anyone...
We would definitely shop here again!!! Jenn was so helpful and they even allowed us to bring our dog, Tucker into the dealership while we closed the deal. Everyone was so friendly and even made a fuss over Tucker. Jenn even had treats in her office for him. There was no high pressure, which we loved. Everything just fell into place for us to purchase our GMC Terrain. Thank you Jenn and everyone at Stykemain!!!
My grand parents and I live in southern ohio almost 3 hours away.. we found a 2005 ford mustang convertible on their website and called.. they said they would have the car outside waiting for us when we came up (keep in mind this is 30 minutes before we left) . So we drove up and drove around the lot and no car.. we walked inside being greeted nicely and good service but when the salesman said he was going to get the car he came back with the used car sales manager and he said that he was sorry but every car must pass inspection and this one failed miserably. But they have another one on the lot for 15,000 dollars (9,000 over our budget) and would only take 1,500 off since we drove all the way up.. We said no and walked away.. classic bait and switch. The worst car buying experience Ive ever seen. If I could give this place negative reviews I would.
I am a little disappointed in my last two visits...I always ask for the white glove treatment on my car, both times were not completed, the first time the car was not even washed, it did not look like it had been swept at all, the second time, they did wash the car, but it was never swept out...I went home and ended up doing it myself...I feel if you are going to offer a service it should be done...Thank You,Susan Craft
Fair and honest. They were very transparent throughout the entire deal. It made the 2 1/2 hour trip here worth it. The trade-in value was exactly what we wanted. This was our 2nd or 3rd dealer we visited and by far the best experience. We dealt with Jamie Smiddy who was professional, kind, fair and helped meet our needs.
Girlfriend and I bought a used GMC Envoy Denali here. Used vehicles are supposed to go through some kind of inspection so we were told. We came from a couple hours away since they had the vehicle she wanted there so having our mechanic check it out was out of the question.Four months after purchasing the vehicle the lifters in the engine go bad ($2,400), two wheel bearings go bad, and the A/C goes out.We call and try to talk to someone about it and the lady who answers the phone is very nonchalant about the whole thing and cant help us. Transfers me to a manager who seems to have no idea what he is doing, who then says he will give my information to someone who will call me back to talk about it. Only to never be contacted by them again. One of, if not the worst experiences of buying a vehicle.
We enjoyed our time with the salespersons. I believe that there is always room for improvement . I’m not a WHITE car lover. But that said the Acadia is a much better ride than the 2015. You persons at Stykemain s a very friendly . Thanks for your assistance in getting us in the 19! Oh. Yah for putting up with my Shenanigans
Everything seemed on the up and up until the dealer sent photos of damage to the rear bumper. Then, the credit card number I gave to pay for the car was not presented to the business office and no paperwork was ever mailed to me for my signature (so no actual binding deal was made even though an agreement was made through email messages) and then, after I had made arrangement for shipping (and paid the fees) the business office confessed that nothing had been submitted to them and that the car had been sold to someone else the night before for a higher price. One of the owners confessed that sometimes it is more convenient for the dealer to make a deal locally than online-even though the ad was online. Why advertise online then?
I recently went to Stykemains to look for vehicles. I wasnt sure what I wanted to buy, but Dylan helped me out when we looked through vehicles. He went out of his way to help me and was very friendly. I had an over all great car shopping experience and I have encouraged my friends and family to shop at Stykemains! Thanks so much keep up the great salesmanship!
On June 18, on my way to New York State thru N/W Ohio my car broke down.Stykemain dealership repaired my vehicle. All the people I met there were very Professional and friendly.Being broke down and out of state I expected a bill much higher than it was. I got a real deal. Now being back in NY, I want to say again Thank you very much.
My wife and I came to Stykemain Buick GMC in Defiance, Ohio only to just look but after the product specialist Jamie Smiddy took us for a test drive and presentation we were then interested in talking about pricing. We ended up getting a great deal on a Red 2016 Buick Envison. It was the right color and had the dark leather interior which we wanted as well. We are very satisfied with the price and entire experience . Go see Jamie!!!
Today we purchased a 2012 BMW from Stykemain Buick GMC. George Roth greeted us with a friendly, helpful attitude. George showed us two different vehicles we were interested before choosing the BMW. George and the Stykemain team made the whole process fast, quick, and easy.
I called in looking for some information on used cars and I spoke with Cody Thompson who was very friendly and who was able to answer all of my questions! Thank you Cody! I would recommend Cody and all of Stykemain Buick GMC to anyone who is done dealing with pushy and rude salesmen.
If you plan on buying from long distance, dont waste your time... They will waste your time and sell the vehicle to the first person who walks through the door... Its amazing how a serious customer on the phone, ready to buy cash in hand is treated like a disposable tire kicker the moment some other customer walks in... I was first in line they can wait there turn as I would wait my turn.
Dylan Tietje sold me my Wonderful bright blue Buick Encore. It is such a neat car. He was so good and so professional in showing me everything on the Dash and pushed all the buttons for my favorite radio stations. He also set up my OnStar on my cell phone. My Encore gives me such good gas mileage. I am so glad that Dylan sold me a Buick. I also get free car washes and the service department is very dependable.
What a great experience. Dylan was what you like to find at a dealership. I live 3 hours away and found my perfect truck thru the internet. Stephany was great at answering early internet questions. Dylan helped of me after the three hour drive down from MI to drive it. Steve worked out the finance to make it happen. His finance offer was what worked best this time. Dylan bent over backwards to make it happen as my travel distance was an issue with my CRAZY work schedule.I will remember Stykemain Buick GMC in the future from 3 hours away in MI.A great experience.
Just bought a car at Stykemain. In less than a week noticed a problem. Overlooked on inspection. Contacted dealership and was ignored by management. Finally after repeated calls finally I receive a call back. Told it was an as is car and would not work with me. Be sure to check a car well if buying from them. Once the sale is done they ignore you.
I purchased a vehicle here a few months ago and I have to say in almost every single aspect I am very happy with this dealership and the vehicle the only downside is the windshield wipers were replaced that day but obviously were cheap because in 3 weeks they needed to be changed one started to split.. that is my only complaint and definitely will worth overlooking that minor detail..
My father in law who is partially blind took his Yukon there to get fixed due to it not starting 3 different times and has been getting the run around. He was last told when it didnt start again they would send a technician out to his house to diagnose the problem and now they wont answer his calls and had a secretary call him and tell him to have it towed in......terrible service!!!! Go anywhere else!!!!

2022-01-30We set up an appointment four days in advance to see a particular vehicle on this lot we showed up on time to find that the truck had not even been cleaned or started. We know this because when they did try to start it the battery was dead. Once we did get the truck running we were able to take it for a test drive and the truck drove great it was a good truck. Once we got back to the dealership to inquire about a possible discount for the tires, that we’re going to need to be replaced, that was denied completely. We also asked if the truck could be delivered that was greeted with a $250 fee no complementary anything, they had no interest in me. All the while knowing I was driving 2 1/2 hours one way to look at their vehicle. I was very disappointed in the service. However Colin was the only thing that would bring anyone back I’m sure, he was very polite and very appeasing. The sales manager was not, he doesn’t care about the customers and it was very clear by not having the vehicle ready. That was enough for me to understand that my business was not important to him. I will nit be recommending this dealership to anyone in my community. I would also like to mention that this truck has been on the market for 176 days I don’t see the doors getting beat down for this truck the way he treated us was irresponsible as a business manager. With a clear lack of customer service I am very disappointed after reading the reviews that were posted on their website, I am very surprised.

2022-04-05Stykemain Buick GMC has mastered the skill of customer service and care. The professional, friendly, immaculate clean atmosphere of this dealership shows pride of ownership! Colin our sales consultant was great. He was very helpful and informative. Ethan the sales manager goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. We drove away in our new vehicle and will definitely return when we are in the market for another vehicle. Thank you Stykemain Buick GMC for giving us an outstanding car buying experience!

2022-01-25I live over 2 hours away and the team at Stykemain worked with me to have everything lined up and in order so that when we arrived all we had to do was look the truck over and sign papers. The team represented the vehicle as it was and never tried anything I felt was not on the up and up. Xavier worked with me to have all the paperwork I needed for my lender and was responsive to all of my questions. They gave me a price on my trade based on pictures I sent and when they saw it they did not try to beat me up how much they said they would give me. We got there and test drove it, decided to purchase and Bill had the paperwork ready to go for a few signatures and we were on our way. I would buy another vehicle from them with no hesitation.

2022-05-02Dealership itself did a decent job of working on my vehicle, but never fixed the problem due to GM corporate failures. I have a 2019 Silverado that shudders during acceleration and deceleration, same thing they are currently getting sued for. The dealership can only do what Chevy lets then do which is nothing. Told its getting better with every mile I drive but I dont want a vehicle under manufacture warranty to get better. I would prefer it was fixed and not slid under the rug persay. It will certainly stop me from ever buying a Chevy agian in the future. Should also mention this vehicle was not bought from their lot either. Was just a certified shop that corporate had me go to. All I can say is they tried to help.

2022-06-09Do NOT recommend. Horrific experience with Parker Ruffer. Very Rude. Very unprofessional. I have been a business owner in Bryan for 25 years. Left there offended & speechless. Worst customer experience I have ever had at a car dealership.
