The management & staff are friendly & helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily & you’re able to get extra items with no problems. I had no issues with my stay. The prices are affordable. I will refer the establishment to family & friends. And will visit again in the future.
Was having out of town family come to visit and got the extended stay room for the holiday week. The room itself was very clean. It came with a refrigerator, microwave, and a counter with a 2 burner stove top. They supplied dishes, and pots and pans to cook with. The beds were very comfortable, firm but not overly hard, and the bedding was like new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And they allowed pets. Well worth every penny of the $369.00 spent for the week. Will definitively use again!
The rooms are a bit dated, though clean and bug free. These older buildings tend to be more sound proof; you do not hear your neighbors as readily as other places with paper thin walls. The beds were okay. I like the onsite laundry. The only real problems were the internet and garbage. Even after paying for the faster service I was still kicked off quite often. It was frustrating to keep logging back in. The garbage situation could really use improvement. There are only so many cans and when they become full garbage is left out on the ground. Scavengers, such as skunks and raccoons frequent the garbage and make a mess! It really is a disgusting site and I feel sorry for the maintenance man who has to clean it up!
I would give you one star, but the staff was really nice and helpful. The rooms at your hotel are run down and disgusting. There was a smell in the room and the whole place just needs to be renovated. You are lucky to have a staff that is great at their job but your rooms are horrible. I had to stay at the Double tree in the same parking lot. So unless they are giving you a kick back for every person who changes hotels you should fix this place up.
This is a very nice Studio 6, with people who really know what they are doing. They gave me a better room than I had last time. Everything is working properly in my room, and my dishes are all clean. The silverware looks pretty clean too!! I even have a toaster this time, and a thermostat in my room. The T.V. has very good reception and channels that I like very much. The room layout is better than last time. The bed is closer to the window, which essentially gives me a living room. The place is much, much cleaner than last time, and the kitchen smells fresh and clean! The mattress is a little bit springy, but it doesnt really bother me. I have bigger problems.I also really like the microwave and the refrigerator. The coffee maker works very well, but I drink too much coffee already. I guess thats everything. Oh yeah, I like the colors in the room, and the walls. Im finished now!
In all honesty, my experience here was not the best. There were things that even though this hotel is not a four-star hotel but should at least be done. The bedding in the room that I stayed in was stained the towels were dirty and had stains on them. the second night that I stayed there the sheets were just turned inside out instead of being changed. I went to use some of the dishes in the cabinet and they were dirt. the shower was never cleaned during the time I was there. I understand that this hotel people stay for longer periods of time but if you have customers that are not going to be spending more than several days there than I believe that they should be a high priority. But I believe that every customer should be taken care of nicely and that is not how I felt, unfortunately.
We have been a long term residents with 2 very large dogs at this location (almost 2 years). The staff has been friendly and helpful and the property is clean and rooms are slightly dated but well maintained. Very convienent location and I would recommend to anybody especially if you have pets.
Location is great - close to highway and restaurants but definitely needs work. First room, door wouldnt open so Paul was very nice and understanding and got us another room immediately (he is the reason for 2 stars). Seemed fine at first glance. Then my partner woke up in the night to go to the washroom (we arrived late so this was a few hours later) and saw there was urine all over the toilet sides and on the floor. Obviously this doesnt get cleaned because there were also clumps of hair on the floor in the washroom. Wish we hadve walked around first...cant imagine what else wasnt cleaned. At that point was too late, we were leaving in three hours and saw no point to ask for a new room as we had to get back on the road soon. Shouldve known for $54.. but reviews were so positive. Plus weve stayed at other Motel6 before and never had an issue. Its not hard to clean the floors and toilet...The fan was also clumped with a lot dust and debris, there were dark brown stains on the shower curtain and walls. Will not be back and would rather spend triple the amount else where thats cleaner
We stayed at the hotel for 2 days while attending a reunion. We reserved a non-smoking room, and although the room was marked non-smoking, the room was lousy with tobacco odor. No one had checked the room after the previous occupant departed, and housekeeping had evidently not reported the choking smell. We were given a different room that was tobacco free. We found the room to be old, but clean. That impression faded when we returned to the room on the evening of the first day and found that it had not been cleaned, the trash had not been emptied, and the beds had not been made. The towels and washcloths had not been replaced. When we called the front desk, and asked why, the response was that the housekeepers were busy. What kind of excuse is that? We paid for full service, not we will get around to you whenever it suits us. When we asked for clean linens, we were told we would be brought some. When we asked when, the front desk said 5 minutes... it was 15 minutes before they were delivered and we were only a few steps from the office. We had laundry to do before departure and it was about 10:15PM. When I went to the desk to ask for change for the laundry, I had to call out loud for whoever was watching television in the room off the office to come out. I was told they dont give out change for the Laundry after 10:00PM and I would have to go to a local gas station/convenience store for change. What kind of lazy policy is that?
Several big complaints: We booked online and requested a non-smoking room, but were given a smoking room (with ashtray!) instead. We arrived late, and had requested late check-in, but had to wait nearly 30 minutes for a clerk to come to the front desk to check us in--between 12:30 and 1 AM, then had to go back to the lobby because the keys didnt work. Lastly, the latch and lock on our door did not function properly/well, and we did not feel safe in our room. Very cheap, and we understood that this was a budget motel, but we were told we had to pay $1 for each new package of coffee for our room--the first was free, I suppose. Will not stay here again!
Was in a previous hotel from a power outage before coming to studio 6 hotel. The other place was rude and disgustingly dirty ! Had my 2 kids along as well. Left there and was still out of power came to studio 6 and told them about our previous place. They were so fantastic. Made sure the rooms were the way we wanted them. Gave us extra pillows and blankets when needed. They have small kitchens fully stocked with pot pans plates cups bowls n silverware. It was like being at home again. Made our horrible power out nightmare way easier to deal with. Thank you to the 2 ladies who helped us through this disaster !!!! Will return for more actual vacation needs 😄
Great staff, but the room was ok. It definitely needs some upgrades and it is far from the pictures on the website. The microwave was warned with rust/burn spots on the inside; had to get the refrigerator replaced because the one in the room wasnt working and the stove top was loose.
The only bad thing I can say is waiting to check in but that was not the staffs issue, the large party checking in did not have their act together so I had to wait over 10 minutes. The room was more than what I expected, the kitchen was outstanding though I did not use it, I was planning on staying 5 nights but my furniture arrived early so I only spent one night. The bed is a little to hard but I still slept good. Outstanding value for the price. If you want WiFi I think almost $5.00 a night is very high.
Me and my wife are very please with the extended stay here at Studio 6. Beds are great on my back the rooms are very clean. Staff friendly every housekeeper, front desk, grounds keepers, are great and willing to guide you to all local businesses and restaurants. The mangerment are friendly and helpful. The wifi is great. My wife loves the kitchenette area in rooms and dog park and its very quiet you can sleep peacefully. There parking and this place affordable. I give it a five star.
Big rooms, nice kitchenette, helpful staff, WIFI isnt very good. Kitchen has plates, coffee machine, youll need your own filters. Has a toaster, microwave, 2 burner stove top, cups mugs and utensils. If you use your PlayStation to have to buy the internet for $8 a week, you can have it for free but its too slow to play online games. Otherwise this is a great hotel with a weekly rate of $300, $353 after tax. Neighbors can be loud and weird but staff is very accommodating. They gave away the room I reserved and had to switch rooms 3x one time, due to getting a non smoking room that reeked like smoke. They gave away the quenn I reserved, but after some switching they had us in a good room for the week so I was happy. Weve stayed here 2x, for a few weeks at a time. Its nice to have a big fridge and stove and pay less for a week then you would at a regular hotel. Laundry is a little expensive, $2 a load. Amazingly great restaurant next door called Smokey Bones. You must eat there! This hotel is cheaper to call and get the weekly rate, if you use Expedia it will not give you the weekly rate, theyll ask you pay about 400-450.
The staff was extremely helpful about where I should park the boat .When I asked for 2 extra pillows I was just told no. I did bring my own coffee and the front desk provided me with 2 coffee filters when I asked for them. The a.c. was very noisy and not really cool. There was a great refrigerator with a freezer. But both mornings there was an unexplained puddle on the floor. In closer inspection, the bottom gasket for the fridge was completely black and hanging on the floor--the fridge was leaking. Also the glass for the microwave turntable was missing . The slivers of soap were broken in the packages. No way to get lather on the cloth. I reported these things to the front desk upon checkout but since she didnt write it down, Im sure nothing will be changed
Imagine you have been on the road all day - 8 hours - and you are looking forward to getting some rest; however, when you get to your room the heat is completely turned off. Ok, you will just get another room and the managers response is, I turn the heat off because sometimes those rooms go days without being rented. It wont take long to heat up. So, the new room is better because the heat is set at 62 degrees. I went to get something to eat and got a haircut, but the room was still chilly when I got back and the bathroom never really warmed up. The biggest problem with the new room was that an unattended child in the next room was banging himself off the walls and furniture. I listened to it for a couple of hours, and after calling the front desk, someone did come and get the child. I finally did get to sleep. Really, I am just about done with Motel 6.
The staff was wonderful! The price was decent. Loved the amenities. The only thing was my door handle was broken and wouldnt shut tight and the maintenance never fixed it. Also the beds were broken the legs on both beds werent attached so if ya barely moved the bed would fall. But other than that I would stay there again.
I was happy with my stay. Close to freeway, allowed my dog to stay and they have smoking rooms. Management and staff, very friendly, the tall male Manager helped me with a heavy suite case I had to get to my room. I am unable to lift heavy things do to back injury. Very thankful for his kindness.Room was clean. The price was right.I give 5 stars.
Staying here for the outage, leaving TODAY. I get off at 6 and there is no one at the desk. The keys constantly deactivate or dont work and the desk attendant is never at the desk. The after hours phone is either shut off or rings and rings and no one answers. 2 days I have been locked out of my room for 2 hours waiting for someone to show up. They have had to physically come unlock my door several times prior and they know there are issues with the keys. You NEED someone at the desk. The sign even says that a desk attendant is supposed to be here. The lady who finally shows up asked me could I wait a second. She then took another 20 minutes to finally open my door. I am currently waiting again for someone to show up at the desk.
A few issues. Major one was though I requested a non smoking room, upon entry the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The kind of smell that cant just be cleaned away. Its in the walls and carpet. Second, I couldnt get into the door. Went back to the front desk and she says oh try to push the handle up instead. Some of them are installed backward. What? Sure enough lift the handle up and the door opens. The AC unit in the room was missing the cover and Im surprised no one has gotten sick. The coils are disgusting. Other than that the room was clean and as expected. Very spacious.
Impressive kitchenette with full fridge. Room not squeaky clean like other chains. Had dirty pillowcases which front desk quickly rectified. Front desk had odd hours though- didnt reopen til noon. Very friendly however. No hairdryer or shampoos in rooms. As we only spent an overnight, disappointing. Decent value for price.
Upon arriving to the hotel we were angrily greeted by a very unprofessional woman wearing a grungy shirt and very unprofessional attire whom we later found out was the hotel manager. We went to the hotel to check in an hour earlier to see if they would let us. We even offered to pay more and the front desk lady without hesitation said no. We had been tired from traveling and just wanted to settle and and use the bathroom. However she refused. So we asked if we could use the front desk restroom and she said no, go to the bar next door.Very frustrated we left and contemplating canceling our reservation. However we came back after the check in time of 3:00 to get into our room finally. The same rude and unprofessional manager was working and she gives us our room and not once does she smile or say anything but handed us our keys and said here. (She also gave us 4 room keys when there were only two of us)The most aggravating thing was we get to our room that we had requested to be non-smoking and turned out to be a smoking room. The smell was horrible. We went back to the manager to see if she would give us the room we requested and she said that she could not move us because no other rooms were available. Mind you the parking lot was only 1/3 of the way full, this was 6pm at night.Very unpleasant stay. We got up early the next morning and left as soon as we could.
Very affordable especially considering the ammenities offered. Rooms include a stove, microwave, and full fridge. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful. Ideal for extended stays on a lower budget. Being located right off the freeway is very convenient and plenty of restaraunts and gas stationconvenient stores in walking distance. Would recommend this place to family and friends.
First, I was not given the rate I was told I would get. $100 more total! Also nothing was clean. It seems all that had been done was the sheets were changed prior to our arrival. The cofree pot was fithy, many of the dishes were not clean, all the drawers had debris and hairs in them. There were hairs behind the seat on the toilet, and the seat moved way over whenever you sat on it. There was stuff all around the floors as if it had hardly been swept. And the room smelled HORRIBLE. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and turned on and off every 5 minutes. Then the ice machine in the lobby was not working the entire 8 days we were there. Usually no towels available and you had to go seek them out. Come back.later, we have none. AND that is if you are lucky enough to find an employee is actually there. And seek them out to get a garbage bag after taking out your own trash. You cant check out early, no one is there! It is treated like a low rent ghetto one room apartment. The employees are not at all friendly. Overall it totally SUCKED, especially since I was overcharged. It should specifically state on the Motel website that it is not at all a motel, and there is no service to your room at all. People live there. I could have spent another $10 per night and stayed in a halfway decent motel with a pool, especially since I did not get the quoted price.
To give this place a review seems like a waste of time. if you have not gotten the point by now you can experience nats the size of buzzards that circle the premisses beds that make the homeless mans cardboard box downtown look comfortable, pillows that put a horrid pain in my neck the living patrons that find it acceptable to have a family reunion outside your door flying profanity and being mistaken for someone by the name of mike... the vending machines that made me feel like i needed to watch over my shoulder because the latch on the door was splintered and the screaming kids outside my door at 10am. and i cant even talk about the dried blood on my towels like how am i suppose to know if the person had a disease i couldnt even getta shower, and most of the tvs are screwed down these mf tvs were super glued all im asking for is the staff to be pleasent too like im fixing to sock the clerk in her mouth and her husband
A very nice place, I was surprised! I cant speak for the other reviews.I have no idea what they were talking about! The staff were great, the room was very nice, everything was clean and had all of the amenities that places like the Value Place, in Mentor dont have or charge you an exorbitant amount for!You will definitely be satisfied with choosing this motel.I plan on being here for a couple of months and with all of the stores, restaurant and convenience stores right in the area, Im glad to have found this!Cheers!John S.
No problem with the room. But, you door lock mechanism needs to be easily operational. Another guest had to provide the technique for getting the door to unlock. Second item is fix the parking lot surface. If you have a good clean mattress, a working tv and hvac, and a hot shower I am pretty happy.
I replaced a couple light bulbs when I arrived - I volunteered to do the work, and office staff were quick to supply me with the new bulbs. BUT - this is something that should be noted and corrected before a new guest arrives. I have no other complaints. This is a great room for the price!
First room I was placed in the toilet was broke, the second room had a bad fried food smell in it, third room was handicapped and very small and Im 6 so the shower and other items in room a tad in conducive for me. One room after this that was suggested was a smoking room. No thank you. Im not a smoker and I have scent sensitivity. Finally put me in a room with 2 beds which was fine and was told for all this inconvenience Id be reimbursed but nothing in the amount I was charged changed on my account. Still full price. It took an hour to find a room, repack car and then unpack again.
I stayed here for 4 nights. For the first 2 nights I saw housekeeping and personally told them I just needed clean towels, etc. and that I did not need the room serviced. For the 3rd night they cleaned the room. For the 4th night, after a 13 workday, I come back and they did not clean the room! I was very frustrated since I was so tired from a long day. I went to front office cause no one would answer the telephone there, and she simply said Oh its written you declined room service which was totally NOT the case! If I wanted a clean room I had to move rooms. A pain in the neck for sure but I really needed the room cleaned. Must unsatisfactory they did this!
Exceptional value at $49/night. Room was clean, comfy and well equipped for $49 (plus taxes); definitely more of a 3 star feel. I only stayed one night, but I can only think of minor, nit-picky things that werent excellent. The front desk even called the room an hour after check-in to see if everything was satisfactory.
The night clerk was nice. The room was terribly crowded. I could barely get out of the bed on my side because it was so close to the wall. We found an empty Coke bottle and a broken plastic something on the floor, which did not inspire confidence in the cleanliness of the room! I told the staff, both the night guy and the woman in the morning. The guy said hed tell management. The woman really didnt say anything. Profuse apologies would have been the correct and appreciated response.
We have stayed at the Mentor (#6019) Studio 6 every Memorial Day weekend for many, many years and have been pleased with our accommodations. This was not the case for May 2017. Starting with the fact that in April, I made reservations through your website for 2 rooms, requesting them in the 100 block. On arrival we were told we could not do that through the website. And, only the 300 block of rooms were now available. We were offered free WiFi as compensation. Second, the toilet in one room was blocked up and the floor had not been cleaned. A call to the after hour manager resulted in I will walk over...never showed. I cleaned the floor myself. The second evening, I called and a maintenance man arrived to fix the toilet. These problems were not typical events but did put a damper on the weekend.
First off the bathroom sink did not drain.there was no dally cleaning service of any kind. Ive always stayed at 6s and this was the first time not even the beds were made, new towels and TP. I had to get TP from office and only then was I told that if I wanted to have my room cleaned it would be $10 extra. They did make the beds on the 4rd day ( a saturday) and give freah towels. The floor was filthy. If you walked with bare feet your soles were black, so was the bottom of your shoes. There was only one outdoor trash receptacle in the entire place. Guests were placing bags of garbage outside their rooms as the cleaning service for the rooms was obviously non-existent to take the trash away. There was also a terrible stench outside from a cesspool that needs draining.Lastly, the room price that was quoted when I booked online was far less that what they actually charged at checkin. Either honor the online price or make the online price match the location price. I asked for a receipt to be emailed to me as the receipt they handed to me only showed the amount charged to my credit card. No receipt was emailed. I presented them my 10% discount card as well. And while the front desk clerk said she applied the discount my received should have show the room rate, discounts applied, tax, and any other charges applied.
The room was clean but had a musty smell. That just tells me that the carpet needs replacing. The bed spread had cigarette burn holes in it which I thought strange for a non-smoking room. The water faucet in the bathroom sink leaked very badly which tells me rubber bushings need replacing in the faucet. I would stay again but improvements do need to be made.
Been here on multiple occasions. Single story with handicap rooms. Beds: about what you should expect for a low cost hotel. Cant beat the value though. Staff friendly Rooms are basic with some amenities, kitchenette, fridge etc. WiFi, while not free is cheap and reliable. Satellite TV service a bit sketchy at times. Plenty of plugs for charging batteries, laptop etc. No problems at all. I like this place and would definitely return again!
My stay at Studio 6 was great...my room was very clean, it had a kitchenette and they provide you with cookware and dishes if you wanted to cook your own meals which I loved the most (felt like home)...the staff was so pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel!! 👍🏻
The picture in the hotel lobby was not what I got. The walls and ceilings had been painted. The poor lady at the desk was trying to book us a clean room and after the 3rd try she went to inspect and said that one was clean. It reeked of smoke the linens had cigarette burns the carpet was heavily soiled with grease stains. The stove was dirty and the counter was broken. Dust and dirt in all corners of the room. Not impressed.
So last night I celebrated my birthday. Afterwards I went over to check in thinking that last wk I reserved a room for the night, only to be told my reservation was for March 1 and NOT March 12 like I thought. Being that I had reserved the room and didnt cancel it I was charged, again never realizing that I had the wrong day on my reservation! I am Very Happy to say that they worked w me and gave me a room last night, using the payment from the unused night that the reservation was for! SUPER AWESOME!!!
The large size of the room, a working kitchen, air conditioned and table and chairs. The bed was comfortable and all for 59 grand total dollars. No it is not a High Roller chain costing over one hundred dollars but just as clean. All I wanted was a place to sleep if I wanted room service I would pick a different chain.
We needed a low cost room for one night on the way to Indy. The low cost was great but the room was sketchy. The staff was polite and nice but the room had some issues:- huge red stain on rug between beds- hole punched in bathroom door- heater cover falling off and broken..luckily it still functioned..althoughImpossible to regulate heat properly so had to keep adjusting- room phone was filthy dirty- bed spreads smelled musty and felt like they were made of cardboard( we took them off the beds immediately)- sheets smelled musty- room smelled weird like it had been sprayed down with industrial Febreze (also smelled like it had previously been a smoking room - probably why it smelled like Frebeze)- fridge not cold even tho it was turned all way to coldest temp.Did not use shower or appliances. You get what you pay for.For the one night it was tolerable.
Incredibly clean loaded rooms (a kitchenette, and pans and pots and anything you can think of), a super nice and friendly front desk, amazing location, tons of great restaurants and stores around, Cleveland just about 25 mins away! This was definitely the best motel experience I’ve ever had so far! Would love to come visit again! Cheers from Toronto :)
I am staying here for my job, that is short term. I brought my wife here to stay with me about a week ago. There was another male guest calling her on the room phone being offensive to her. I went to the front desk and they told me there wasnt anything they could do. She is afraid to be here alone now. Also if you dont mind drug addicts up all night hanging outside, and loud music and drinking, than this is your place. The upside of staying here is the price and close to the freeway. Apparently the hotel staff/and or owner dont mind what kind of reputation they are creating with the type of people allowed to stay here.
I imagine its the worst place to work for I drove into mentor from PA and I guess there was a meeting going on. I admit I was listening I wanted to know what type of place this was. The employees were being talked to like they were nothing being threatened with their job as the employees were trying to explain that they were never trained properly. No wonder why I see so many reviews of dirty rooms the management is responsible for this. I was disappointed and disgusted by the way the employees were being talked to and I left no one ever came to the desk anyway.
Non-Accessible room with fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster & coffee pot in the room. Lots of space. Had ants in the room. Dirty room you say... ??? Sign next to sink says Additional Cleaning Equipment is Available from the front desk And I have seen people taking a vacuum back to clean their room!! They must be the people that live here full time. Ive met 3 so far.
It had almost all the attachments of a decent, cheap hotel stay. Also: fridge, stove, microwave. Neat!Location was very good!Room? Decent. Plain. Oh well. The door was a pain in the butt to open and close! Handle was heavy and unwieldly. Also, please fix immediately: NEED SHAMPOO and FREE WI-FI.Thats my two complaints.
When I called 5 hours ahead of time I asked for a smoking room. I was told no problem. When I arrived I was told there where none. Also door was wide open when I got there and had to be slammed shut to stay closed . Lock didnt work . Woke up with bug bite on my ankle as well. Wont be going back
When reserving a room one month prior to the stay I received a confirmation for one queen bed. I received two full beds and no other options due to overbooking. In the pillows was hair from the previous guest and also in the bath tub. Beds could be compared to plywood. I will never be back at Studio 6, spend the extra dollar on a company with standards.Desk clerk was nice upon check in but I left asap after sobering up after a wedding. Other reviews report bed bugs fyi...
This is an awesome place to stay. The staff is always very friendly. Wes goes over and above to accommodate your needs. I tell everyone that I know that is looking for a place to stay to go to studio 6. I have never had a issue yet that they havent handled in a professional and personal way. Love this place
DO NOT BOTHER THIS MOTEL !We had been to the Sandusky amusement park for the day and were attending a dinner cruise in Lake Erie the next day. So we booked this motel for a night on our way from Sandusky, OH.First off it is a motel and right at the door of our unit it had a sticker which stated something like lock your cars, motel is not responsible for lost items or something which made us feel creepy. The room smelled weird and was very filthy looking. The bed sheet had holes in it like cut marks and I think some cigarette burns, very very cheap pretty nasty pillows - out of shape and very uninviting, hairs under the pillows and bed sheets. Trust me even though we were very tired, we didnt have the courage to get onto the bed and use the filthy comforter ! As I touched the curtains I started having allergic reaction all over my face. So, rather than staying there we headed straight home which was a 3 hour ride and 2 more the next day to get to Lake Erie. We didnt even bothe checking the bathroom.I had read the reviews but took the chance to try it out myself but I was very wrong.
Beginning with them cancelling my entire reservation, (when they shouldnt have,) the room was so dirty I threw my socks away, the toilet continually would not work, they gave me a plunger, they do not clean your room. ( even if you are not Extended Stay,) paid for a week of Wi-Fi...worked a couple hours, insisted on a $25 deposit, (which I could not get back because I had to leave at 6:30 Sunday morning and they CLISE THEIR OFFICE UNTIL 12:30 NOON ON SUNDAYS! Need I go on?????
The room rate was good. I feel that a box of tissues would not be too much to ask. Using a roll of toilet tissue is just not convenient or easy. I know the cost of facial tissue and bath tissue are approximately the same, so it is worth that little bit to have the luxury of a box of tissues.
I chose Studio 6 due to the extended time I was in the area. The one problem I had was smoke. I requested a non smoking room. The room was definitely not a non smoking room. The smell of smoke permeated the room and there were ashtrays in the room. I lost my wife at age 59 to smoking related illnesses, so smoking is a real sore spot with me.
I arrived late (10:30 pm) and the office was locked. I had to hunt someone down to check in. The ice machine was out of order and the room was not clean. I found an ear plug behind the tv, ramin noodles in the cabinet, and a ritz cracker wrapper under the table. My room was not cleaned the next day. In addition on Sunday a lady was locked out of her room because the key card did not work. She had been locked out over 2 hours and NO ONE was on the property! Office was LOCKED AGAIN!
The room is NASTY!!! I have pictures and videos.I had already paid for the room & I didnt have any extra spare money to go somewhere else.I called around but no weeklys were available and since it was last minute everyone wanted a few hundred dollars more that I didnt have.I was stuck & had no place else to go.I came 1400 miles to see my family.I will NEVER stay again.I would only wear shoes in the room because the carpet stains all over& floor was gross.I brought my own sheets.Glad I did the sheets & bed skirts were dirty/old.The dresser & nightstand were broke up.Looked like someone picked them out of the garbage not kidding. The chairs had slits or cuts in the material. The corners of the bible was eaten by a kid or animal? The curtains were messed up and dirty. The bathroom smelled like mold real bad.The shower curtain had stains & dirt all over it.There was mold around the handle to turn on the water. When you walked into the bathroom the floor was VERY spongy in front of the toilet & tub.The toilet moved back & forth. The walls in the bathroom were really dirty(dirt and streaks)There were holes in the wall by the tub & the boarders in all rooms by the floor was coming off.The tv remote was gross & had teeth marks on it.I had a ton of fruit flies or little black bugs flying around(I have pictures of 1 I killed by the sink by the bathroom).I did get a smoking room because when my daughter came to visit I didnt want her to have to go outside but it stunk bad.I had to buy a plug in & a can of air freshener. They didnt help much. There was a spot in front of my room to park but all the other guests with more than 1 car parked in my spot.I had to park in front of the lobby & walk to my room.I have leg and toe amputations.I did tell the people working there but was told sorry no assigned parking.Kids riding bikes all over the parking lot, people sitting outside their rooms drinking beer, cooking on grills at all hours.I was worried about the rental car.I asked if they had security they told me no it wasnt working but cops always sit across the street & they did.I found out they just had a drug bust a few weeks before I was there(in the room next to me)while I was there the Mentor police and ambulance showed up to take someone to the hospital.I heard someone say another day at the studio.By the way the day after i got there my friend brought me a bucket, bleach,Clorox wipes&rags so I could TRY to sanitize the room.BEWARE
Stayed here for a month - out of 8 times i was supposed to get housekeeping - got 2. not even the correct kind. I found out they were not offering what they were supposed too. Multiple lights were out. room slightly dirty on move in. No towels. No supplies. No fresh anything.told assistant manager Chrstiana who was quite rude with attitude dodged responsibility did not answer my repeated questions and fed me excuses that I checked with corporate.... I think i know how hotels/ extended stays work. after the room being endlessly nasty i finally called corporate who took action - same person answers the phone when I call them back (missed the call) - STILL RUDE! DENIES CONVERSATIONS. I didnt even want to talk to this lady she wouldnt give the manager the phone. Finally does after denying I was ever there... I have a witness. And I clearly can recall who and what time this took place. Doesnt matter... i just wanted housekeeping that i paid for. Im only paying a grand a month, yet Im unreasonable? talk to Westley - the man is a rude and talking down to me... argumentative... I even was nice and told the man.... non of this matters its ok I just want my housekeeping. NO! this man claims i never had conversations not that he would even know and actually was pissed I called corporate! they blamed me for no house keeping? claim i need to be in the room, so i make the time.............. nothing! they threw this all down on being my fault? i even clarified with corporate on the house keeping days and whats included. the heating issues during winter. the lights not being fixed for a week.... if you dont like corporate coming down on you maybe you should do your job and treat your customers like human beings. They even retaliated against me for holding them to their responsiblites as managers.. 0 quality managers i had to hang up i couldnt believe this was happening. former employer recommend this place. he used to house all of us in extended stays. im going to stay at casa rosa in painesville township - a toliet, but the people arent evil nut jobs. unprofessional... never had such bad customer service from the managers. i didnt trust these people to not bill me for the room being dirty or to have professional cleaning. covering my tracks. Should have listened to former employees who said this place is not a good place to be. Never had a bad experience anywhere Ive stayed besides here. Already spoke with my former employer and boss to tell them what a madhouse this place is. Hope they never house anyone here again. .... UPDATE: received more service in 2 days than I ever did at studio 6 in a month. includes when I asked managmement to correct a problem. Also to the response below, I called corporate. It was not fixed!!! Your management on site did not apologize they actually yelled at me and retaliated because I called corporate!! .... 10 months later I happily live half the nation away. The workers were such low quality garbage I used them along with other bottom feeders as motivation to get out of that area. Never did get an apology. RIP pieces mentor!
My room was spacious. It came with a full sized fridge, coffee pot, ironing board, three chairs, table, full hd tv, microwave, dishes and an alarm clock. There waa also a small stove built into the counter. The only bad part was it took hours for the heater to warm the room up.
Worst beds I have ever slept in. The first room they put me in didnt have any heat. The guy at the desk was really nice about it and moved me. The next room had 2 beds. You could feel the springs in the first bed and the other bed was even worse. When I told the owner the next day he just told me that they just replaced all the beds hahahaha. I said well you should try buying good mattresses. The police were there 3 times that I seen and I wasnt looking out the window much. I made the mistake of thinking this was a motel 6 , IT IS NOT. At least at motel 6 they understand that the beds cant have the springs popping. Worst nights sleep I have ever had and my back still hurts. They were 10 bucks more then a motel 6 and clearly the owner isnt spending the money on making sure the guest are happy. Lol what was really sad was I could see the holiday inn across the street. I wish I had spent the extra 20 bucks. If you want a good nights rest drive on by this place. Oh and when I tried to hook up to Wi-Fi it tried to charge me 5 bucks for a weeks use. I called the desk and they said yes but if you dont use it a full week then you get a credit the next time you stay there hahahaha. Well I was never going back so just know if you want to use there internet its 5 dollars extra. Thats 5 bucks you should put towards another motel. NO FREE WI-FI. So its 10 bucks more then motel 6 and Wi-Fi is an extra 5. there charging more and giving you less. that tells me they dont care about the guest only there wallet. Also I asked for a non smoking room and both rooms they put me in smelled like cigarettes and had ashtrays. Then they informed me that there would be a 25 dollar charge if I left the room and smoked in it. So how can they put you in a room that stinks like cigarettes and has ashtrays and then tell me they are going to charge me 25 bucks if I smoke in it. Clearly this is a scam they better hope that 25 dont show up an my card.
Constant noise, either in the next room or the ceiling above --- couldnt tell exactly where it was coming from. Ive no clue what was going on, but it sounded like pounding, as if someone was building something or repairing something --- but it went on from around noon each day into the middle of the night, perhaps 2:00 or 3:00am.Completely ridiculous to rent people rooms with that kind of disturbance going on.And I just checked out of the other Motel 6 near there (in Willoughby) due to MORE NONSENSE related to a new owner or new management. What the heck has happened to Motel 6? It was never fancy, and sometimes the other guests were a bit rowdy, but the management was never this FRAUDULENT.
The non-smoking room was infused with cigarette smoke. The non-adjustable thermostat was set for 60 degrees, so with light hotel bedding, I had to go to Walmart to buy additional blankets. The laminated floor was sticky. The internet was very slow, even when I purchased to high speed internet connection.
Location is great...close to freeways, gas stations, and quite a few restaurants. Property looks like it could use some improvement and there seems to be quite a bit of unsavory tenants. There have been a lot of staff changes recently and some staff is very unprofessional and not very friendly.
Mr.Karibe went above and beyond to help me and my husband today. We paid for our room in hotels.com and for some reason it did not show up on the hotel system so Karibe was patient and very helpful and got the situation handled the rooms are nice the area is nice and its quiet place
By far the worst hotel Ive EVER stayed in. My family and I came to Ohio for the first time. We found this hotel through one of his Co-workers. The sign in the front said Rooms at @ $270 per week, why was we charged $332.35 for a double bed and Wi-Fi??? Thought Wi-Fi was free with hotels??? We get in the room, the kitchen sink had a slow drain, the A/C wouldnt go below °68 on a record breaking day of °92 (Yes we was better off sleeping outside when the sun set, still °73 @ 10:48pm), and to make matters worse... the main lock on the door DIDNT LOCK AT ALL!!!! I WILL PITCH A TENT IN THE NEAREST PARK BEFORE I EVER COME BACK TO THIS HELL HOLE THEY CALL A BUSINESS
The manager was rude. hung up on me and i had to call back to tell him. he didnt ask if there was anything else i needed, didnt say goodbye, just hung up. i accidentally burned a steak and set off the fire alarm, and he shows up at my door looking like a predator who wants to come in. doesnt tell me who he is, or that hes the manager. so i was scared and told him not to come in. he just said whats going on? and when i figured it out, he didnt even apologize for scaring me. rooms smell like smoke and the service is terrible.
I have had a wonderfulexperience being here at the Studio 6 Mentor. The customer and genuine concern of our needs made us feel truly appreciated and wanted at the hotel. I would recommend this particular hotel to anyone looking for a hotel. I truly appreciate and commend Christian Cope and Wesley Kinney on a beautiful hotel.
Very disappointed to say the least.Dirty, smelled like smoke and I asked for my money back and was told I needed to come back tomorrow.I am a cancer patient and was staying close to Cleveland to get my check up.I could not come back for my money the next day.So I paid for a room I didnt stay in.
Went to concert over saint Patricks day and came back to our room to find this little COCKROACH on my girlfriends makeup bag, there was also food on some over the dishes in the cupboards like they werent washed properly. I would much rather have paid a bit more somewhere else thats clean and roach free.
Well as other reviews had said saw lots of police in an out all hours of the day an night I had stayed there for a extended period I saw fist fights in parking lot people people openly drinking out side of my room Drug deals an use an told the manager an his response stay in room then he was very much of a smart ass who acts like he thinks he is God an doesnt have to worry about how people feel as long as he gets paid the rest of the staff is just great it is what it is the place has the worst reputation in the county very serious crimes have happened there but if your looking for dope or fist fight or a prostitutes its the perfect place for that the best thing mentor could do is shut it down then the courts would have less casesDO NOT RECOMMEND PEOPLE STAY THIERpeople openly drinking out side of my room also drug use an deals
Overall it is a great location ... reasonably priced but .... my bed was broke ....& very uncomfortable.... the door would stick & I couldn’t open door from inside .... had to have housekeeping help me get out ..... people in next room listened to loud music w: bass bumping til 3:30 a m .... I couldn’t rest or sleep ......(room 136)

2020-03-29I came to visit for business and I was very surprised at how nice the rooms were. There was a kitchenette with a stove top and a full sized refrigerator. It also came with pots, pans and all of the dishes I needed. The bed was comfortable and the entire room was very clean. It also had a coffee pot which was great! The staff was friendly and they attended to my every need. The location was convenient right next to the highway, and there were restaurants all around. It was a pleasant experience!

2020-10-27This was an excellent experience. We stayed for a couple nights but would not hesitate to plan a longer stay. Fully outfitted kitchenette with full size fridge, 2 burner stovetop, table and chairs, kitchen sink. Made all the difference when eating in the room and perfectly functional to cook a meal. Pleasant staff. Great water pressure. No complaints! Great value, would definitely recommend.

2020-09-09I give the Studio 6 props for a polite and attentive staff. When I was there, the walkway into their lobby had cracked concrete that had separated from the walkway and wobbled when I stepped on it. I lost my balance and reported it. I was relieved to see it immediately removed. The pictures I saw online appeared to have been taken when the Studio 6 opened. It seemed to have aged a bit while I was there and the lobby seemed smaller but those are minor details. What bothered me most were hairs on the towels and sheets. That disgusts me like nothing else can. If housekeeping is changing the towels and sheets then they are not wearing hair nets and should. Spiderwebs were also in corners near the ceiling that could have been easily swept away. I would also recommend including a bottle of shampoo in the bathroom. The room was equipped with two tiny soap bars only. Also the room had a clock radio with a charging port for my phone which I appreciate but the alarms that were previously set should have been cleared before I checked in since the alarm woke me up at 5a. Again, these are minor things. Overall the room is spacious, the bed wobbled but comfortable. The room also included a near full size fridge, iron, ironing board, toaster, microwave, coffeemaker with some complimentary ground coffee but no cream or sugar. Room also included some dishes and utensils so you can really make yourself at home at Studio 6. TV includes cable but only about 20 of the most basic channels. The WiFi connected but there did not seem to be an internet connection and I was unable to load any web pages. I felt safe and would stay again provided that I had a room with clean sheets and towels. Location was good as it provided easy access to the highway and area restaurants.

2020-09-06Unfortunately I had to stay here for over a month while waiting to close on my house. The cost definitely reflects the service and upkeep. The staff front desk workers have a bit of an attitude and this place is a drug haven and full of junkies. Three people overdosed while I was there and one person died of which no one noticed for 3 days! The rooms are not very clean and the appliances need to be fixed. My freezer door was falling off broken hinges, one of my burners didnt work on the stove, and the carpet is old and smells. I would suggest spending a few extra dollars and stay at a better hotel for your families sake and safety.

2018-07-03You get what you pay for here. It wasnt terrible for the price, but my bed was hard and room wasnt that clean, so Im not sure Id stay here again. Rooms have nice amenities including full size fridge, mini stove, microwave, and basic cooking utensils. Decor was fairly modern and room was spacious and it was convenient I could just park outside the door. Downside was my room wasnt that clean as I found short, straight black hairs in my sheets and long, frizzy black hairs in the shower. Also floor and mirror were not super clean. I got sketched out by finding hair that appears to be from two different people in the room so I slept on top of my own sheet that happened to be on my car laid across the bed. The bed was not very comfy nor were the pillows so I hardly slept all night. Also the room smelled like a failed attempt to clean out cigarette smoke. The sheets on the bed were thin and worn out. They also charge you to use the internet in the room. Overall this place is not terrible for the price of you are not picky, but overall, I did not have a comfortable stay and likely would not stay here again.

2019-12-03We were staying here out of necessity . To tell the truth it was actually pretty convenient. Each room has as kitchenette and table 2 eat at. They provided plates etc.. They also had a laundry room. Very useful. Also even though the beds could have been more comfortable it was a very convenient place to stay. I give it only 3 stars because of the beds and the lack of other amenities.

2020-05-28Staff is so friendly very knowledgeable and very very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bonus that we have a full size fridge, stove top, microwave and toaster and coffee pot along with pots and pans and silverware. Clean linens and extra supplies are never a problem. Have recommended this motel to many family members and friends.

2018-07-16Our room wasn’t clean. The non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke. The beds had stains on the comforters and bed skirts... and we’re not talking bleach stains. Our sheets had hairs on them and the bathroom wasn’t clean. I don’t require fancy, but I do want to know it’s clean. I do not know how it’s gotten good reviews. It’s only cleaned 1 time every 7 days, so maybe the good reviews got it after it was just cleaned...not sure. I will say that the man at the front desk was very friendly. He offered me some clean sheets that we could put on, but it wasn’t just the sheets. We left and found a different hotel.

2019-12-21First off I have been here a month and I have to say it has been a great stay so far. Drew is the new general manager, and he is a very nice guy. All of the staff are great, and bend over backwards to get anything you need B and Tressa are amazing. Laundry is in the main area which is great, you do not have to drive all over to get your laundry done. Plenty of places to buy or get food and cook in your room since you have a Fridge, stove, and microwave. Oh and they have pots and pans, and dishes so you do not have to buy any. The Happy Moose right next door to Studio 6 is a great sports bar so you can eat, drink, and watch your favorite sporting event at a decent price. The free way is just a hop from the hotel, so you can get anywhere you need to go even if you have the need to stay for a long period of time for work. All in all, a very affordable place to stay for the long haul, or just for that one night stay. Thank you Studio 6, keep doing what you are doing, giving people a nice affordable place to stay with all of the amenities.

2020-05-29Easily the nicest extended stay that I have been in. The room was very clean and well maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and handle any issues that arose. I have never stayed anywhere, where the staff is so friendly. Tressa made me feel very at home. I would recommend this to anyone.
