Straders Garden Center in other cities:
Strader Garden Center was such a pleasure to visit today for the first time. Was treated very well by the staff and the almost unlimited number of beautiful floral and garden products was amazing to view and enjoy. Their hanging baskets were among the best Ive ever seen. Highly recommend this garden center.
Strader Garden Center on West Broad is the best nursery in the central,Ohio area! The customer service is second to none. I purchase my landscaping products from their great selection of plants, flowers, shrubs and fruits tree along with vegetables. The friendly staff are very knowledgeable and professional. The extra special touches for your yard are excellent products, and well priced with great quality and selection to match any taste! John is the manager at the West Broad St store. What a gem, I hope Straders understands what a great asset John is to their business. I highly recommend driving to this store to ask questions and buy product from them!
My wife and I have shopped at Strader Garden Center for about 35 years. Never had a problem until last week. The garden center is still great, however, the lawnmower shop is at the bottom of my list. I only gave a one star due to the garden center. They charge you for parts you dont need or did not ask for which doubled the estimate. No phone calls, just sticker shock when time to pick up lawnmower.
Your cashier was totally awesome,we come there fairly often, and this was the first time we met her. I love your store but I would come back just for her. Also the young man that got my blue rocks for me was also was also really helpful and pleasant. If all your employees were like today I probably never go anywhere else to shop unless we needed something that you did not have.OnFine
I needed some new plants for my new place. Good prices for the sizes I got. Great selection of pots. Will go back when I get ready to do my small patio. Just hate those speed bumps. Whos idea was that. Almost didnt shop there because of them!!! At least the other entrance didnt have them.
Very expensive place. I went in for tablets for my pond. Looked up the same product on Amazon and it was $6 cheaper. Went to look at some bushes out front. There were only two and neither had a price. Didnt feel like going back inside to ask how much they were so I just left.
After going to both Walmart and Lowe’s garden departments and not receiving any help at all, I finally turned to Strayers and I’m so happy I did. I was browsing by myself for a few minutes before I finally went up to a group of congregated workers and asked for help (this is the reason I reduced a star - I was not greeted/helped in any matter prior to my approaching a group of 3 employees, but they greeted a few people who walked in 15 seconds - two minutes after me (so maybe I’m not their ideal customer but you may have better luck than I did if you’re older and white). The person who helped me was so friendly and helped me pick out some new plant friends that matched my lifestyle, lighting, and watering habits. The prices are clearly marked and very reasonable (I paid ~$100 for two medium sized healthy houseplants, 4 baby house plants, 3 ceramic pots, 2 drain dishes, and an 8qt. bag of potting soil). If you’re a new plant parent I’d definitely recommend making Strayers your first stop. Personally it would have saved me an hour and a half & two trips lol. If you’re not their ideal custie you may have to advocate for yourself, but you’re probably used to that by now ;)
Fair prices, open year round, mulch and soil, indoor and outdoor plants. Annuals and perennials. Trees and flowers and vegetables. Garden trinkets. Natural honey. Seeds. Garden chemicals. Organic materials. Pond repair and maintenance parts. Pots from fairy size to 30 or 40 gallon size. Sheds. Lawn mowers. Wind chimes. Rocks, fountains, herbs. Friendly cat hangs around.

2022-06-05I bought 2 rhododendron and three bushes at Strader‘s. Not cheap but always great quality. Once I got them home, I realize I needed a bigger tree instead of one of the rhododendrons and so I tried to exchange a rhododendron for a tree. Obviously, there would be a price difference, and I was ready to pay more.Even though the plant has tags from the store, and I have a credit card receipt, and the plant is very healthy- I was shocked to be turned away because I don’t have the store receipt!!It wasn’t as if I was trying to get money back; they were about to get even more if my money. When I told them how surprised I was because other stores would have no problem doing that, I was told, “We aren’t other stores.”Bad customer service for sure. Heading back to Darby Creek Nursery. They keep my receipts online and will even replace plants that die a year later.

2021-07-08Love this place. Healthy, unique plants. (My $5 black petunia grew like crazy so I had to picture it.) Great pots. Friendly staff. And two adorable store cats. Ginger and the big beautiful Whodini. Id say half the time I go there is for kitty lovins. The other half is to drain my wallet on all the cute stuff in this store.

2021-03-31Awesome local garden center. They already had lots of greenery to buy, especially trees and shrubs to get in before the heat of summer and lots of perennial bulbs to get spring started. They said they would have more flowering outdoor plants closer to Mothers day. We also managed to get some awesome ceramic pots for our succulent forest. Prices are very fair and comparable to other locations like Oakland Nursery, etc. Highly recommend !

2020-03-06Nice variety of flowers and plants and much more. Flowers and plants are healthy and grow well. I love Gerber daisies and Strader is the only place I have found that has a nice variety. Great place to get all your gardening needs and more. Love my bamboo wind chimes I bought here. Ive been to several Strader locations, was not dissatisfied at any of them. I would highly recommend Strader Garden Center.

2020-06-26I work here, so I am a little biased. However, the ladies at the registers are very nice and easy to talk to. The managers are friendly and very helpful. The nursery and greenhouse workers are very knowledgeable about the plants in that specific area of the store.
