First visit to The Stonewall range since December, 20. GREAT improvements, including a range officer, rules on keeping guns and ammo in the stall, totally cleaned the place up. I felt much safer in the new environment. Staff was friendly and very helpful! Kudos to management for buttoning things up!!
Stopped by nearly two weeks ago to browse the inventory and to possibly find a new gun for nightstand/range duty. Younger guy by the name of Sean was quick to make a few recommendations for a few sidearms I had not originally considered, and ended up walking out that day with a beautiful new VP9. Staff in general and Sean in particular were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Was my first time giving them my business but it will certainly not be the last. Highly recommend.
Decent rates, can take rifles but only one round a magazine at a time. In my opinion the best flat range to take a pistol. If you follow the basic firearms safety rules you are good to go. I like that I dont have to fill out a bunch of wavers and an I.D. is good enough to get on the range. The place used to be a little on the wild west side but, it has gotten more safety oriented and I feel like its for the better. I do hope they dont go overboard.
Went into Stonewall and explained to Shawn what I was looking for, specifically a 1911 in .45, I didnt want to spend over $1000-$1200 bucks. But, as we all know is the norm these days (no slam to SW), the pickings were somewhat limited.I wanted this weapon mainly because Im a new(ish) gun collector, as well as a Patriot..! And, nothing screams Americana like a 1911 and I wanted one for the house. Not to carry. However, after examining q uite a few 1911s S Wa had and asking a litany of questions of Shawn, who was uber knowledgeable, I ended up buying a Glock 17 instead. and am truly glad I did. 9s are cheaper and just as effective, especially with 17 in the clip..! lol..! Besides, if the Navy SEALs chose the Glock 19 for their sidearm, the 17 would be a great gun for me..! And SW had it for a very reasonable price..! Thanks guys, I will be back..!
My husband and I frequent this place often. I was worried at first that they would show prejudice towards us but I was pleasantly surprised when they have been kind and encouraging. When one of us enters the store they ask where the other is. They congratulated us on getting our conceal carry, too. When I buy a gun they always make sure I am comfortable with it before buying. They told me they’d rather prolong a sale than let me go home with a gun I’m not happy with. I have so much respect for them and this is our favorite gun shop!
I purchased a handgun from this store few months ago. Staff was very knowledgable and friendly. They gave me plenty of time to decide, no pressure at all, made helpful suggestions. Answered all questions I had. Pricing was fair, service excellent. I would buy from them again.
Huge selection on firearms at a reasonable price, good selection on ammo and accessories. The indoor range is nice and very affordable. Staff members are always friendly and helpful. Regarding that comment saying that they treat minorities different is not true, me and my wife are Hispanic and they always treat us with respect, I have also seen other minorities here getting treated with the upmost respect.Kudos to the owner and the staff.
Called to ask requirements for renting a firearm for use on the range, stating my age. Was told I could rent without issue. Arrived and was immediately asked if I had shot 1000 rounds of ammunition out of at least three pistols in the last 12 months (which I have not). As a result I was unable to rent a gun for use at the range.I don’t blame them for the policy, but Stonewall wasted my time by not telling me this policy on the phone, even though I stated I was not bringing a gun. Tell your customers the requirements up front when they call.
I have been to the range a few time now. And every time I go it has been a great experience. I have never had any issues with anyone. The staff was amazing at answering any questions I had. They are very polite and knowledgeable about their firearms. Yes they are very strict about safety. And as a shooter I appreciate that. I would rather have them be strict and not have people putting my life in jeopardy. Than go to a place with more lax rules. If you cant understand why they are strict on safety maybe you shouldnt shoot anything ever. Thank you for the great experience definitely will be back soon.
Husband and I have gone here for years. The staff in infinitely knowledgeable and helpful. Its a family business, and one that is done right. The owner pays close attention to what happens in the shop, and they have not only a great selection but a great awareness of the stock so going in just to look around at whats new is always fun. If youre out this way during late summer, get tickets to the pig roast and you will see the kind of community this place has created (as well as the free range time that comes with it and the raffles and the reps from different manufacturers they bring in as well as great food, its a great event and a way the shop gives back to its customers, clients and friends). At the range, safety is first and you can rent different types of guns as well if you want to see what may be a good fit for you. Those concerned about rifles on the range- its not an outdoor range, so they have to keep the building in tact... I didnt think rifles were allowed on the range at all actually. So its pretty cool that you can use one there (and also if you need to see how a rifle works after repair or recent purchase, there is no need to use a full mag). Obviously a full mag is more fun, but this again is an indoor range so Im more than happy with this arrangement.
This was my first time for me and my family. Sean was patient, nonjudgemental, kind, and informative. He took time to explain everything to us and was very hands on! He watched us shoot and gave us pointers on how to improve our shot! Thank you Sean for a wonderful night out.
Came in last night after the cut-off time for last shooters and thought we wouldnt be allowed to shoot. The manager, however, was extremely accommodating and got us to the shooting lanes quickly, so we could still get as much shooting done, as possible. He seemed concerned that we shouldnt have wasted our trip there. We found the facility to be neat, bright and comfortable. After shooting, we enjoyed looking around the well stocked store and talking to the manager who seemed well informed and happy to answer any firearms questions.I dont often write reviews, but felt compelled to do so here, because it appears this gun shop and range have been unfairly maligned in other reviews. Those reviews had made me a bit apprehensive about going to Stonewall. My son-in-law and I went only because it was open the latest. Im glad it turned out to be a very positive experience. Will definitely go again.
I saw some reviews about poor customer service, but I decided to go anyway and check the place out. I walked in, and there were 3 guys working. They seemed like good guys and they helped me right away. The range was clean, and not too busy, either. Plenty of space. Great pricing for range time, even bought a box of ammo on my way out. Ill definitely be going back. Worth the 30 min drive. Thanks, again!
Stopped in Sunday found what I wanted while they were busy and popped back in when they opened Tuesday morning and had my rifle purchased and background check done quickly and professionally. I did not get the name of either of the older gentlemen working but they both went above and beyond. Even when it was just to keep me occupied while I waited in the BGC
The range was nice, but a bit on the hot side. Plenty of different options for targets. The price was very reasonable. After sending some rounds down range, I decided to check out the selection of firearms and accessories, Great selection for both. Only complaint I have is that the gentleman showing me the pistols actually swept the muzzle of one of them across my body. I said thanks for flagging me and he said its not loaded. It wasnt, but thats how accidents happen. Overall a great place to shoot. I would go back. The salesmen need to handle guns safely.
I went there on 1-23-19 to shoot with a friend. I havent been to stonewall in at least 5 years since they expanded the store. The selection was very impressive and the gentleman behind the counter was very nice to me. He was an older guy with a white beard and was happy to answer my questions and show me a H&K 9mm that I have been interested in. Overall the experience went extremely well, and based on that I definitely will be using them as my primary range.
Great staff. If I could remember all of their names, I would list them individually. Each person that my nephew and I interacted with was very knowledgeable. They all chimed in at 1 point or another. Giving tips and/or opinions on this or that. I didnt feel rushed at all and we were there for a couple hours and had either looked at, wanted to see or had questions about numerous firearms (both big and small alike). Ive seen some comments saying that they were racist or they didnt like blacks but that wasnt my experience AT ALL. As far as I can tell, they are good people and a very knowledgeable, well trained staff. And as long as they both treat and help me as theyve done in the past, theyll have my loyalty as a repeat customer !
Ive been going to this shooting range for several years now and cant say anything bad about it. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their manager Diane is very pleasant woman. She is quite knowledgeable as well. I was buying SW MP shield from them and she gave me good trade-in price for my gun. I would recommend this place for anyone who is shopping for a firearm or just to there to shot.
I love this place they help me out so much with knowledge on any gun i buy or want to buy. the range is cheap and so what if its 1 round for rifles its there policy so deal with it. The men and women that work here are truly amazing. A tip i should say is if they have a lot of customers please dont ask a million question. Also for the love of god never pull your gun out and ask if they can look at it keep it holstered.
Great selection of firearms and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Go to the range if you feel like getting shot by some dude renting a gun and rapid firing it for a tik tok video with no formal training; they simply let anyone and anything rent a firearm and there is not a range officer in site.
Started going here when I turned 21 in 2009. I went weekly up until I went into the military. After I got out of the military in 2018 I started going back and nothing has changed besides the lay out. A lot of the same employees still work there and I’ve always had a positive experience with them. Great selection of gun and accessories too.
The were very helpful. They showed my daughter how to properly hold her handgun and encourage her to take a course to get comfortable firing. I also found a pretty cool inexpensive knife. The workers were knowledgeable about guns and didnt mind sharing their knowledge. There are TONS of guns and gun supplies to purchase. There ate guns you can rent also. I will be returning for their safety course and to patronize their range. Great experience
Final straw experience this morning. Ive been going to Stonewall for many years. Today, the staff was dismissive of questions I had, seemed as if it wasnt worth their time to answer questions and reprimanded me for more not leaving a bolt open in the back. Previously, this range had turned away new shooters I recommended because their round count was too low (the gentleman was a 2 tour vet). Additionally, the last time I bought parts there, I found that they were overpriced by approximately 20% compared to other local retailers. With the increased number of ranges in the area competing for my business, the higher prices, attitude of superiority of the staff, and facilities are just not worth the nostalgia. I will be recommending and patronizing the other options in the area.---In response to owners comments: I was not upset that I was called for breaking a rule that I thought had been done away with because of previous conversations. I was upset that your staff did not talk to the young lady I was with, I am upset that they often have a superior attitude, and Im upset that a range that Ive been recommending for years has slid so far in the value it provides. Perhaps it isnt your fault. Perhaps you havent changed but the market has.
I can understand a bad rating for maybe the range not being as clean as some of these brand new ranges that are popping up around town. But, as for service and the size of the shop and the amount of items they have in stock and the immediate service you get when you are there, I say it is a great place. Everyone has always been nice to me, and I am a new shooter just learning the ropes. I was so pleased I became a member. 300 bucks for free range time, flat fee guest fee, and you get to cut the line (if there is one) for first available lane access. Cant argue with that for a year long membership.
Stopped to make a purchase and was greeted with major attitude as if my attempt to buy from them was a nuisance. While gun store business is booming, you still have a choice who you give your money to. Do yourself a favor, and find another establishment which values your patronage.
Don’t know how all these people get the feeling of being talked down to and invisible. Sort of like they have this place mixed up with how Pro Armament in the Falls was a year or so ago and before they became a private range. I come into this range I’m in and out no problem. Prices do seem steep on some firearms but I’ve noticed I depends on popularity and availability of the model and brand. Haven’t been here on a day of chaos but I’m an adult and know how to make sure I get someone’s attention as polite and professional as I can. The words you use, firearms lingo and how you present yourself and your guest becomes clear almost instantly and I’ve seen a few people turned down from the range politely. It sucks I know but if you can’t be bothered to learn basic firearms safety and weapons handling I would be bothered to let you on my range as well. Some people on here need to pull themselves up by the boot straps and be adults. Me and my girlfriend have been coming here at least 3 times a month for a few months with no issues and she’s never shot until she met me. They could tell but they saw the way I went about it that it was ok to let me show her. Some staff may seem uptight and I get it. They are in an environment where someone is paying them to be as professional as they can be. Also with the other negative reviews I would like to get both sides of the story about whatever situation came up
I dont know what all of the fuss is about with the negative reviews. You are going to shoot a gun. The staff expects you to be fairly knowledgable and safety conscious. I view the attitude as stern, but not unreasonable. Follow their rules, act professional, and you will NOT have a problem. I have shopped for guns here (never bought one here yet) and they will spend a little time with you as long as they arent super busy, which they routinely are. Bottom line is, this is my go-to range even though I live in Akron. I prefer their facilities (riverside range in the falls is icy cold in the winter and requires 2-3 seconds between shots) and their hours are very generous. Also, their gun selection is pretty top-notch.
Helpful staff and a clean and well-ventilated range. I went in to make sure that I could bring my own paper targets and find out what the pricing was and I was greeted professionally and had the rules explained carefully. I suspect if you were pushy or rude you might have gotten the same treatment back, but if you are polite and respectful it seems as if these people will be polite and respectful to you.
I am a member there and have been shooting there with my sons for 19 years. Everyone there is polite and friendly and I enjoy talking with everyone after we get done shooting. Its a great place to shoot. Diane has always been very service oriented and always has time to answer any questions you have for her. Lets face it, there are a lot of shooters who have no clue what they are doing. For example, I see guys trying to hang a target without a cardboard backing. They have to be strict for every ones safety. Many members feel the same way I do. They throw a great Pig Roast / Customer appreciation event every year which I really enjoy.
I visited today to get some practice in with my conceal carry. Bought some ammunition at very good price, also received 20% off my FMJ and Self Defense Rounds. Many different targets to choose from, and you can pick your own. It my first time being there and I was very happy with the break down of the indoor range. The owners were very knowledgeable, helpful, and respectful. I recommend this range without a doubt. Even my CCW Instructors come to this range for practice and training their students. Will be going again!
My grand father started taking me here a while back and The staff has always treated us with kindness and respect. The prices are really good for the product they are selling and have a vast selection of firearms. I took a class here to also get my ccw and the class was better than I could have imagined. Overall this place has continued to amaze me and I don’t plan on going anyplace els.
Highly recommend. Visited 4x now (twice w/ our kids). Despite being a busy Black Friday weekend, they spent hours w/ us, showing us merchandise, answering numerous questions, offering alternatives. Never once made us feel rushed. Weve spent significant time w/ Mike, Jim, & John - all are friendly, professional, & highly knowledgeable. Their range is a busy place, so were glad they emphasize safety 1st. Dont expect to come to their range & break the rules - they enforce their rules, because everyones safety is their business, as it should be. Weve seen all of their customers treated with respect by all of their employees, every time were there. 5 star business.
Ive had no issues with rude employees as the other comments might suggest. Ive shot here many times, purchased a revolver here, asked various questions etc. and have never had any bad experiences. My friend and I were a bit dissapointed with the restrictions on his AR15 (one round per magazine, must be hollow point or soft point) but we had a fun time regardless. Will definitely be returning again.
Would do negative stars if possible. No respect for gun owners under the age of 40. Was ignored for 15 minutes before I finally was addressed and blown off by an employee. Only a woman stocking the shelves showed any customer service skills. Not to mention getting hung up on when I attempted to call in to check stock before hand. I am highly disappointed but I will happily drive the 45 minutes to Rural King in Elyria where they care about ALL customers.
Been going there off and on for over 6 or 7 years with the old man. Its less than 5 minutes from my house so Im pretty much locked into going there for range time. The staff have been slowly making customer service improvements over the years, not at a fast pace mind you. Ive noticed each person have good days and bad days, I think some have a hard time remaining professional when it gets very busy and stressful. They tend to lighten up once they get to know you but I guess that doesnt really help the new customers. They seem to be doing well, financially, so I suppose there isnt a real sense of urgency to provide great customer service. Like some have said though, its a gun range, not a restaurant so dont expect an ass kissing. I have thick skin so I dont let a bad attitude effect me. Im there to shoot, not to get a mental massage. My biggest complaint is having to wear my winter jacket inside the actual range while shooting in the winter, crank that heat up!
Ive been here twice now once to look around with my wife. Once to use the range. The first time I went I did not find the staff all that friendly which would turn allot of first time customers off. However I did ask questions and they answered them without a hitch and were very helpful. The only problem is that they were not proactively helpful. This would make for a better customer service experience. The second time I went in to use the range and then had a round that wouldnt fire and the slide wouldnt pull back. The gentleman that I asked to help was quick, knowledgeable, helped fix my issue! I can also say that one of the reviewers was correct that some of the clientele where a little on the nut or redneck rambo side, but thats life and I never saw anyone acting unsafe so to each his own. Overall, I can say I would go back and try it again.
My dad wanted to go here with me for his birthday, but after reading all of the horrible reviews, I was apprehensive. I just left this place and all of the guys that were working were wonderful. They were super kind and helpful. Yes, theyre sarcastic as everyone else stated, but I thought they were hilarious. They were never rude or mean. The place its self was huge and it was stocked wall to wall with anything you could possibly need for shooting. I will never go to another range again. I loved it here
I had heard about this place from several people. Good and bad opinions so I had to check it out for myself. I went there to zero my AR so I wasnt there long but the staff was friendly and very welcoming. If you do bring a high powered rifle the only downfall is you can only load one round in the chamber at a time which becomes tedious however I understand why they have this rule because of people in the past not adhering to the range rules. Inspite of that it was a good time. I only shot 20 rounds but the overall experience was good. Great selection of ammo and gear. Way to go Stonewall!!!
Today was my first time shooting at Stonewall LTD. I took my AR-15 carbine and without any hustle in a courteous manner someone assigned me a lane. I followed their written rules and regulations pertaining to high powered rifles, and I had a great 1 hour shooting time.Based on my visit I rate this facility as follows:1. The shooting range looked good and attended by a safety officer.2. The person behind the counter taking care of me was very efficient, friendlyand helpful.3. The gun shop is fully stocked with all the items that you have a need for.4. Overall appearance of the facilities is very good and very well organized.
Friendly and informative staff , stalls were clean , and appreciate the rear table to store gear . My 1st time there , and process was rather simple to adhere to if you use common sense . My only problem was after washing hands 20 times a day due to corona virus , my dried out hand cracked open while pulling back my slide to engage a 2nd magazine . Gentleman at desk gave me a band-aid , but I called it a day and gathered up stuff and left . Prices on gear was fair and they had a good selection of it , but there was a shortage on ammo . Took a CCW class there via Action Defense LLC . ( Awesome instructors ) and look forward to returning to this range . I regularly shot 2 S&W 357s and a 44 mag thruout the 80s and 90s and its a sad commentary that after 20 years I feel the need to again pick up a firearm . I advise EVERYONE that picks up a gun to shoot at a range regularly , hone your skills and maintain your firearm properly . If possible take advanced courses / training , and keep up on changes in the laws . BE ALERT , SAFETY FIRST !
Went to this range with my brother and husband. This is a great place to go if youre a good old boy I guess. Aside from not even bothering to speak to me, because what would a woman know about guns anyway, they were incredibly rude to my husband and brother. My husband asked about any law enforcement discounts and they all but laughed at him until he pulled out his military ID. Then the discount came with an eye roll and a scoff. My dad used to shoot here with his buddies, so I know the place has been around a long time. They must sustain on their friends being faithful customers. If youre looking to buy, head over to Fin Feather Fur. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly to newcomers and old pros alike.
I have been going to Stonewall for four years and I have had good experiences all the time. The staff really knows there stuff, and are very helpful. If you expect to treated with service like at a restaurant, dont! If you want to know about guns and ammo. and that kind of stuff, they are MORE than willing and able to handle your questions. I have found out that they are VERY friendly and they enjoy fielding questions and talking about gun related topics.
Ill start with the pros, everytime Ive been there, it hasnt been very crowded, they have an amazing selection of firearms and accessories. Now the cons, they have been open for an hour and a half today, and everytime I call I get a voicemail saying there closed, Im trying to find a specific holster and would not like to waste my time and gas driving out there. The website is awful. Everyone behind the counter just stares at you like its a private facility and your not suppose to be there. Theyre all dicks, act like your wasting their time. Everything is beyond over priced, I mean marked up 10% to 30% on firearms if you compare them to places like Rural King or other firearm shops. I can see why its never crowded in here, the only thing they have going for them is selection, the hardest part about your visit will be any human contact, checking out, asking questions, etc. Go and experience it for yourself but avoid talking to anyone that works their.
Walked in just to browse, huge selection of firearm related items, probably the largest Ive seen outside of a major chain like Cabelas. Decided II wanted to buy a magazine, walked up to the counter and was helped almost immediately. Staff were courteous and attentive even though the range was busy. Next time Im in the area will definitely come back.
I used to frequent this establishment all the time but its been a while now. I see the website is down and was reading through the reviews to look for some information. I personally have never had a bad experience here. But maybe that is because I adhere to their policies. People need to remember that FIREARMS DESERVE YOUR RESPECT!!! They are extremely powerful deadly weapons designed for killing. These policies are in place to keep you and the staff safe! If there was no rules NOBODY would feel comfortable going there to shoot. Frankly I am happy to hear that you can now use high powered rifles, even if its only 1 round at a time. Honestly Ive only ever wished they allowed them when Im sighting in a new gun or if Im taking a friend shooting. If I wanted to go nuts shooting Im not going to go to a indoor range to do it. I would be willing to bet that some of these people probably asked if they can use exploding targets too! I mean come on people. Its their responsibility to keep the place safe, and if they didnt then they would be on the news quicker than you can bat an eye. Have some common sense. I obviously dont support the staff being rude but Ive been here many times and never had a issue. If youre not sure of their rules just ask! I have to give them the benefit of a doubt because on that front if you had to deal with people breaking your rules all day at a gun range where the rules are important you would probably get a little fed up too. People breaking the rules in a gun range is not only deadly but it causes damage to the facility as well. Its one thing if your a newbie and still a bad shot, Ive seen people shoot way off target and hit the T post/target stand, but there is absolutely no reason people should be shooting so far off they put a round through the ceiling which obviously can damage their roof. But bottom line is rules are in place for everyones safety. And Im actually glad to hear that they not afraid to tell people they need to be followed and that the ownership is reviewing footage and backing up their staff. Because good and knowledgeable help is hard to find these days! keep it up and Ill see you guys soon! Need to blow off some steam from the winter blues.
Horrible experience! Had to return a gift card and lost 10% of the total amount. I was fine with this, just wanted to be rid of this place. An employee and I were chatting, with no issues, as he was refunding my money. He asked his boss (I believe her name is Diane) if she could help and without even slowing her pace, snottily said thats all I can do for her. Nothing else! The employee stood there not knowing what to say and went in the back finding someone else who could help him with the computer. Diane automatically assumed I was complaining. If that was her first reaction she must get ALOT of complaints and I can see why. My boyfriend and I went to another range in Lorain, wonderful experience. Bought a gun and used the range with no issues. In the future, I will drive 40 minutes to that range before driving ten minutes down the road to Stonewall.
I started going here with my partner about a year ago. The first few times we went, we were helped by a tall thin older gentleman, I think his name was Tom. He was so kind, so helpful and so informative it quickly became my favorite place to shoot. However, the last time I went in however, he was not there. I came in with my mother who was visiting from out of town and my partner. I was helped by 2 guys, one with a beard. I use the term help loosely. As soon as we walked in I realized I forgot my ear protection at home and told my partner. The man at the counter said Its probably with your hairdryer and curlers. I brushed it off. We then got our range time and started shooting. I have guns, but I have been in the market for a 38 and have been testing some out. I went up to the desk and asked to rent one. He said honey why dont you have your boyfriend over there rent it for you do you even know how to shoot?I should have left right then, but my mother was enjoying herself so I didnt. When she was done, because she had such a great time she wanted a shirt to buy. She asked if they had any shirts in smaller sizes (they only had XXL) and they said honey this isnt a dance studio.and that was it. never going back. loved tom and wanted to buy my 38 there, but they lost my business for good. There is no need to treat customers like that.
I dont know if they have replaced the rude staff or what, but Ive been there three times and rented a gun or two to shoot each time (since Im from out of town) and have had a decent experience each time. True, the range is a little rough (the range itself, not necessarily the people) and it doesnt have an airlock like my home range does, but the staff has been very courteous to me.They also seem to have a pretty decent rental inventory. All in all, Ill be going back while Im in town.
Had a great time with some buddies shooting and this was my first time at this specific range. The big issue here was the dude behind the counter. You come shooting to practice and learn how to shoot better and you have a couple honest questions about gear... This guy was extremely rude and went out of his way to make you feel like a complete idiot if you asked any kind of question. Ill gladly be taking my business elsewhere where I can receive the slightest bit of respect.
Im a girl, Im an amateur, and Ive been going to Stonewall since I started shooting about 3 months back. Ive never had a problem with the staff there. I go in, say hows it going and that Id like a stall, give them the info they ask for, and thats it. When its not busy, we even chat. When it is busy, keep it short, sweet, no ego crap, no attitude. Yes, the stalls are loaded with casings, but they get to them when they can. All they ask is that you dont show off, be responsible, and keep control of your firearm. Theyve always been good to me and I will keep going to them.
Been here a few times and i feel it started off well and just gets worse and worse. Everytime I walk in and talk to staff I feel in not welcome or below them. Not pleasant to talk to or get advice.Final straw for me is I found a great deal on a handgun they could not match online and they required $100 on FFL transfer fee because they had the same model. Done with this place.
Rude, ignorant staff. Range itself is extremely dirty. Went with my own gun and had no problem. Went a second time to rent a gun and they wouldnt let me even though I am a CCW holder and have shot over 200 rounds this year. They only cater to law enforcement. Dont bother! Will never be getting my business again.
Walked in to ask about taking a concealed carry class. Guy was not that friendly at first but gave me a brochure and briefly started telling me how it works. As he was in the middle of talking to me the phone rang and he answered it and never came back. The other guy working there was walking around and I asked him a question or 2 about it. He also wasnt very friendly. They were more interested in talking to each other than helping out a potential customer. I decided to give this place a try despite hearing about the rude staff. Unfortunately, the rude staff is indeed present at this gun shop. I wont be back to shoot, take the concealed carry class, or purchase anything.
We took the first timers gun class. the class and the instructor were great. the instructor was so well informed and experienced and the class was exactly what we needed to feel comfortable using the range and renting different guns, prior to purchasing. the staff are all great esp gary who has been so informative and patient as my husband looked at and held nearly every gun in the case, to feel and compare them all. he never once acted like we were difficult or a burden being new to all of this. infact, he goes out of his way to give us information and advice on the different weapons. we would highly recommend this shop. it has been a great experience espiecially because we are first time gun owners.
This place is great! Great prices, good people working, and a great selection of guns. My first experience wasnt great, but that particular associate I dealt with was the reason, and he no longer works there. The staff now seems like they understand respect, finally! Try to avoid Select Fire in Berea on Bagley Rd. WAY too expensive, and its small. Theres always a long wait unless you go during work hours. Stonewall is the way to go. If you go anywhere else youre just wasting money.
As a retired police officer, currently a firearms instructor, OPOTA Certified in numerous subjects, I can honestly if you are anything other that American and caucasian, your experience at this place can vary. I have been there a few times looking for things that I cant find at the competitors and as a dark-skinned Latino male I was treated like a second class citizen. There is one person that is cool and thats only because he is a white Latino and hes Argentinian so he and I have good interactions. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for a firearm, check out the atmosphere, if you are being treated like a human being then go for it.As for the range, its time to close it down for some upgrades. Nuff Said.
Started going there at the beginning of the month, staff has be very friendly each time i have been there (3 times). I think they have a wide array of pistols, shotguns, and rifles plus ammo and magazines. They rent pistols for $7.50 and $2.50 for each additional ones not a bad deal. I was there today had no problems and will be back again nice place Stonewall.
Today was my last trip to Stonewall. After doing my best to give them the benefit of the doubt and work through their many lapses in customer service this morning I finally had enough. Rude does not begin to describe the staff. They are arrogant, confrontational, poorly-trained and have such a mightier-than-thou persona that I am frankly surprised they are still in business. The facility is sadly maintained and the prices for everything almost so high it seems they are flaunting the fact that they can indeed charge whatever they wish. Do yourselves a favor folks - find somewhere else to shoot and shop!
Selection was great for handguns and holsters. Service was horrible. 30 minutes inside the store looking though the glass at handguns and none of the staff ever even said hi to me. Kinda disappointed in that. Range looked nice, but fairly loud inside the shopping area. No noise outside the building though.
Went to the range and shop for the first time this week and was pleased. I have read all the negative comments and can see how some of the employees may come off as rude, but that has not been my experience. Maybe these are coming from Millenials who grew up on video games, texting, and never drank from a garden hose as a kid. I did talk to one employee and asked his opinion on a few firearms and he wouldnt give me one. No big deal really. I have dealt with Tom via phone and in person and he has been very nice. After all you are going to buy a gun, not going to a knitting class. If you have shopped around and know anything about guns, youll know the prices are very good and they have a great selection. Also the fact that they have rental guns is great as you should never buy what you cant shoot. The ergonomics, accuracy, and shootabilty (is that a word) are vital, especially when spending several hundred dollars on a firearm.
I have been here many times and have spent a large amount of money over the past 5 years. More times than not the staff is rude and arrogant. I hate to deal with them, and most times the less talking the better. I hope they realize they are not the only game in town these days, The employees do a terrible job of helping and respecting their customers. I have purchased a few fire arms here at a lower cost than anywhere else in town, and the range is cheaper than others too. So if you dont mind some counter persons unprofessional comments and remarks and do your home work before you go there so you can get through the bs its ok to go there. However if you are new to firearms there are many more places to go than there.
If you dont mind dealing with arrogant, condescending, and rude people and dont mind paying premium prices for your equipment, then this is the overpriced gun shop of your dreams! I have never been a fan of this place but what sealed the deal for me was when an employee was wearing a lower end S&W sigma pistol on his hip and told me that all S&W striker fired pistols had the exact same internal parts and the only difference was the frame. He was also very vocal in his dislike of many different manufacturers weapons as he tried to sway me to a couple different brands which are priced around $1,000 on the low end..... Of course not all of the workers are like this, but unfortunately the majority talk to everyone as if they are bothering them and wasting their time. Best way to sum it all up is do your window shopping there and then buy from someone else.... Or, just go to Fin, Feather, and Fur to begin with.
Lets start with I have used this place in the past. Its unbelievable that when they updated this place they got far more rude with infrequent customers try to ask them if they carry a product and they look at you like your the boy from the Christmas story of youll hurt yourself. I know I look young but I was older than all 3 of the young wanna be macho kids behind the counter by at least 4yrs on the oldest one their. The only decent thing is their inventory. Will not return anytime soon till their customer service improves substantially which is a shame when my friends and I spent a lot of time here in the past.
I have a BB gun pistol range in my basement and enjoy shooting. I thought if would be fun to go to the Stone Wall close by and shoot a real pistol once a month of so. I didnt know if I could walk in and shoot at the range so I took their Home Firearms, Safety and Basic Pistol course. I enjoyed the course and loaded and fired all sorts of pistols. I decided to buy a 22 target pistol. I knew I had to have a back ground check and asked a few questions. I felt like I got smart ass responses from the staff. I didnt go there to argue, just wanted to shoot. I had all kinds of enthusiasm when I left home but now I dont care much one way or another. Ill try another range. Im sure they do have some friendly clerks but Im not into taking any smart mouth. I just wont go back. Who needs it?
People have said the staff can be rude, my wife and I have been here several times and havent experienced that with any staff members. However I do believe they expect people that are going there to shoot will have common sense and basic knowledge of firearms. Dont mistake that for rudeness. Great place to shoot in my opinion.
I went in today to look at compact handguns with the intent to purchase. I intentionally went to Stonewall hoping I could test a few of them in their range.I was hoping to compare the Diamondback 380, Bodyguard, and LCP, but they didnt have any for rent. When I asked about these models, they just said heres what we have and they showed me the case. They were not really rude, but definitely not customer focused.I went to the counter to look at the different handguns for purchase, and I was there for 10 minutes without anyone else being waited on, and no one came around to help. They were off chatting with buddies and joking in the back office.I left and will not be back! I went to Atlantic Gun and Tackle and they were very helpful! I would highly recommend Atlantic Gun and Tackle over Stonewall!
Im not sure what these people are talking about, my girlfriend and I go there often. Went there today talked with the employees for some time. They were happy to show me and tell me about a pistol they knew I wasnt going to purchase. Every time Ive been there the employees have always been nice and helpful. You might get a quick answer if theyre busy but you should expect that.
Ive been there twice during December. No problems with staff. Mike was very kind, patient and helpful when my gun jammed and he explained how to fix it. Even shot a few rounds to make sure it was probably just a bad box of ammo. Will return, especially if Mike is on duty. The manager should be proud of Mike as an employee, he is helpful, knowledgeable, patient and understanding. An asset to Stonewall.
I have been shooting with my grand father for the past 16 years at other are ranges and only recently decided to check out stonewall as they are about half the distance of hickory ridge. The staff was honestly the single most offensive group of people i have ever met in my years of firearms exposure. The general attitude seems to be that they do not need or want their customers. The condition of the range was fair/poor and the support staff was paying absolutely no attention to the range whatsoever. I finally got fed up enough to leave after i had noticed a pair of novice shooters walking around behind me with a jammed .45 (which they told me they rented). I offered to help out of interest in my own safety, and explained to them some basic proper range procedure. This would have never happened at my other range, and if it had the staff there would have been on the other side of the glass in no time. Simply put, I will never be there again and will continue to drive the extra 20 minutes with a smile on my face.
There is so much about this place that is likeable; The employees are not one of them. Im sure we all know that one guy who is into guns and takes himself way too seriously. Theres this guy that works here that is around 6ft. Beard and glasses. Open carries a glock on his right hip and he looks for any and every reason to belittle and disrespect people. I was just up here with some friends that I was helping learn to shoot. I am an NRA Instructor and RSO. I am very careful on the range because I have kids I want to go home to. The guys that I were with were accused numerous times of breaking the rules when I was watching them and was very careful to make sure that they followed my instruction. This guy decided to throw us out right as we were already packing up to leave, while accusing the people I was teaching of doing really stupid shots with their lever action. I.e shooting from the hip. Which they werent. He was overtly aggressive and attempted to make everyone feel beneath him. I advised him that we did not break the rules and im careful of that, and he argued the point with me. I reiterated that I was carefully watching and there were not any rules broken and he decided to ignore me. This is not the 1st time Ive had a bad experience with an employee there but nobody has been so adamantly rude and completely wrong at the same time. The staff is either ignorant to the ability to be polite, or they just dont care enough to put in the effort. Either way, a place that should be welcoming and enjoyable, is made frustrating due to a lack of effective communication and none of the staff seem to care even in the least. I would really recommend trying somewhere else like Select Fire or The Parma Armory.
Checked out as a new range option! This range had mixed Google reviews one star and five star. I honestly cannot figure out why anyone would give this place a one star review. It has a ton of stalls, well lit, courteous staff and the most reasonable prices I have found. I will definitely be coming back here!
Its a good place to buy and learn to shoot. It has a lost of rules, some dont like but their all for our safety. The only thing I dont like, is that in order to shoot one of their guns for rent you have to have so many years of experience. Which is Bull. But other then that a great place to go.
I liked the range and the employees were not the run of the mill, gun shop, know it all jerk offs, which is a nice change from what Im used to over in Cuyahoga Falls. Range lanes were aplenty, however there was a healthy wait on Sunday afternoon. Lanes were well lit and there were 3 fold out tables in the aft range area for gear etc. Heres the worst part: high powered rifles (.223) yield a higher hourly lane cost for whatever reason and you are NOT permitted to have more than a single round in the weapons magazine at a time...... This I cannot wrap my head around and I most likely will not be back for this reason alone. Try zeroing a new sight on your M4 with this ridiculous rule...It would take all day. Not that great.
This is the place to get degraded and you should go if you like to be talked down to. The staff is not friendly or helpful. They had not 1 but 2 bullet holes in the table on the range. So safety is obviously not a concern. No range officer. I wouldnt revomend to anyone that wants to practice in a safe, informative or rewarding place. I say pass on this place and maybe pay a little more somewhere else.
My significant other and I get there, go inside to shoot and they man says theres an hour wait and giggles about it (like haha you stupid people) because they close a little over an hour from when we get there. so we go outside put our guns in our car and go back in to look around. 2 things happen here, an employee who I suppose was in a hurry rudely tells me to move *because Im in his way and excuse me is to difficult to say*. There is also a young man behind the counter who obviously is under 18 *that cant be legal*, we find out his father works there after asking for help because nobody was going to come help the people just standing there patiently waiting. Then *I refuse to purchase anything there* my significant other buys a mag and a box of bullets and we got overcharged $10 by the same here who laughed at us when we first got there. I will never go back, I see why there are so many poor reviews on the place now. The employees are trash. Rude, unhelpful, spiteful. Please find another place to shop.
Nice range, nice choice of weapons. Unfortunately, its staffed with rude, ignorant ass hats. Im a veteran and I like to think after 6 years on active duty I have a thick skin. The employees here were even more egotistical than I wanted to tolerate. Id rather not shoot than go to this place again.
Common reply to ANY issue its your ammo if it isnt the highest end ammo. They refuse to say Im not sure, I dont know or it might need a cleaning. Other reviewers arent wrong, the staff can be very condescending and unless youre a woman, most have little time for newer shooters. Advice: the hourly rates arent bad and you can save a ton of money if you bring your own ammo. Also, HOPE TO GOD Father Christmas (counter employee) turns the heaters on/up in the winter. Otherwise you may as well stand outside and shoot, especially if its a high powered rifle. We often leave if we see him working. Its just too cold to shoot, especially on the end.
Im form pa in strongville for a visit . First time in the store was greeted by all the staff .I ask about the range what calibers we could us the prices and the rules. One month later i was back with my guns and had a fun time. Great place I wish we had one in pa. Great job guys thanks you keep up the good work . Will be back again
I visited Stonewall twice in 2016, never again. Both times I walked into the store and then I walked out feeling invisible. I looked at there inventory and never once had a person ask me If I needed assistance . I asked the man behind the counter for some assistance and all I got was a dirty look , he never looked in my direction again even as I waved my arms in the air. The people all around me laughed. I guess Im only one guy, they dont need my business at the Stonewall. I stop in with my nephew yesterday 12/27/2016 at about 3:30 pm and again they are to busy to even respond to a guy standing inches from the cash register . The two old guys that Im assuming worked there, being behind the counter and all, rudely turned away from me and ignored me a customer . I turned to see a woman behind another counter, I went to approach her for assistance , but she seemed to run away to a back room. Chatting with my friends and family about my experience I was not surprised to find out thats how they are there at the Stonewall.Nice try in your response to explain. But there was nobody at your counters. There was how ever people looking as if they were waiting for the range. But none at your counters when I approached.
DONT BOTHER Ive been to stonewall 3-4 times now before and after they remodeled it and Ive only had one good experience and thats when I stopped in to just buy safety glasses. The customer service is horrible, Ive honestly never seen worse or left some place so annoyed its a shame to its actually a nice looking store, to bad about the staff. After the last time I wont be going back nether will my three friends that were with me.
Rude staff , will never consider this range again. Fist strike and A&A ranges are much better places.it had been 20yrs since I last fired a gun ,.. I was told by some crotchety old asshat my exp is too old to use their precious range. so I went and bought a glock and used the ranges at first strikeif you have no or low experience go to one of these other ranges I mentioned they are helpful. they will explain things to you and then rent to you.
I would not recommend anyone to go shooting at this range. Customer service at this place is the worst I’ve ever seen, prices for ammo/range time/gun prices are extremely overpriced, there is no ventilation in the range, there are bullet holes and damage all over the booths, they only allow one bullet in a magazine for any AR at a time. We will not return and will be taking our business elsewhere.
Very poor service, very unfriendly, VERY unorganized! Keep a eye on your customers as they sign in. Waited 24 minutes to get a booth, yet several booths opened and available. And to top that off, the guy who signed us in went on break so we were left standing there while others who just signed in by another guy got a booth immediately.
If I could give this place a minus I would. It needs to be closed down. However a great staff but they kill you with lead.I shot here and Im sure I got black lungs. Super poor quality of air. The air handler must be in a different state. The small fan was working in it place.
Extremely rude and arrogant staff. I walked in and asked for a specific side-arm which is well suited for hogs as a backup gun. The salesman belittled my request, made a statement about a better caliber (which is actually very poorly suited for hogs). I made a comment that Id like to stay away from that round because of bad experiences. I didnt go into it with the salesman, but I have a great deal of experience hunting pigs and I know exactly what works and what doesnt.Instead of taking the cue to provide the firearm I asked about, he went even farther into his diatribe about how knowledgable he is and how he has hunted pigs with Samoans who use machetes. -- apparently that has something to do with my request. I debated walking out, but Id driven 45 minutes and didnt want to waste my day on the road. Eventually, he provide the firearm for me to look at. He then proceeded to correct the way I was holding the firearm (I didnt chock up enough on the grip -- nothing safety related) and then made fun of me for safety checking the firearm (he did not do that prior to handing it to me). This was the epitome of the bad gun shop stereotype. As a gun owner and firearm advocate, I cringe thinking about someone walking into that facility and having that staff as their welcome committee into the world of firearms.
In the last few months Ive purchased 2 handguns from Stonewall.I have also used the range on numerous occasions. I purchased a Glock and a Desert Eagle, and both have proven to be excellent handguns.I was very pleased with the overall experience. Their selection and prices were excellent, the sales staff were knowledgeable and straightforward. Having a working range and the guns available for rental, makes coming to an informed decision relatively easy. I was surprised by all of the negative reviews though. Jesus Christ people, its a gun store for crying out loud. Theyve got the selection, with the prices to go with it, rental guns, and a range. What exactly would it take to make you happy? You are not going to church or to have your nails done, youre buying a freaking firearm. Im sure that the vast majority of customers are more than satisfied, and its the few complaining panty waists that make the most noise. If youre looking for a weapon or accessories, Stonewall is far above average. If one of you sissies needs a backrub, then you probably need to look elsewhere.
Huge selection but over priced. Staff was friendly. Range is out dated as it needs ventilation and stalls are riddled with damage, Im guessing from stray rounds. No range officer to be seen, might be the reason for damage. Over all not horrible. But for the money Id rather go to Parma Armory.
Horrendous customer service. Its almost like they dont want you there. Im an experienced shooter and I was treated like a criminal. The last time we went here, a group of young girls started loading their magazines in the waiting area, then proceeded to load them. No one from the place said anything to them. A group of us had to scream at the girls to stop and even then the people working here didnt seem to think it was a big deal. I will never go back here again. Its full of shady people and just not safe. Much better option can be found in Berea.
Its 10 minutes from my house, but the convenience is pointless if, every time you walk in, theres a two hour wait. The worst part of it isnt the unfriendly staff of people who wouldnt know how to deal with a real world problem, yet talk about it like its second nature -- and if I hear the story one more time about going jogging with a .357 in your crotch, Ill finally have to tell you to move the eff out of whatever hellhole you live in, because when I run, I dont worry about getting capped. Id also call BS, because I dont think you could run across the parking lot.No, the worst part is the patrons. When you walk into a haze of exhaled alcohol and stale weed-smoke, its hard to feel like its going to be a safe outing -- for anyone. And it feels like everyone there gets dressed up with their cheesiest open-carry gear and wanna-be military clothes, and then talks about their concealed rigs. I promise you, I talk with NO ONE about my concealed rig. Kind of defeats the purpose of being concealed. The last time I was there, someone shot down the pulley mechanism in one of the lanes. Scary. Stay away; go anywhere else.
I dont understand why people think that just because they are selling guns means they have the right to be rude to customers. I recently purchased my first firearm (an ar15 rifle) and Im by no means an expert. When I went to this establishment to look at accessories for my gun, they could obviously tell that I was new to guns and although one of the staff members helped me (after a very long wait even though he didnt seem busy at all) pick out some things, he acted very arrogant and condescending the entire time. Its a Too bad that this store is so close to my house but the staff are so rude. I have no desire to return there.
I work in the firearms industry, and before that I worked at a range for 2 years and this place is the exact reason you see a bunch of new high end ranges popping up across the country. As soon as I walk in an employee incorrectly tells me that I can get a felony for having loaded rifle magazines in an outside compartment on my rifle case, which used to be the law but that changed over a year ago. I suggested to him that the law has changed but he seemed unwilling to even consider that he was misinformed. The range does not allow you to use standard 5.56 rifle ammo, they force you to buy hollow points from them at almost 60 cents/round. It makes no sense that they require hollow points or soft points, a 50 grain hollow point round will have the exact same effect on the steel back stop as a 55 grain FMJ round. They are different from every other range in that they dont charge you for everything until youre done shooting. They were also unwilling to allow me to pay for the ammo and another member of my party to pay for everything else, which does not seem like an unreasonable request. Its 2016, you at the very least be able to split the cost between a couple people. The range is carpeted, which can be a pretty big safety risk because un burned powder can build up in it and lead to a fire, and it just looks really bad. Finally, they only allow you to fire 1 round from high powered rifles at a time, and that includes AR15s which are far from high powered. If they were smart theyd get rid of that rule so people burn through more of the high priced hollows points customers are stuck buying from them. This places seems like the type of range that people simply tolerate because it is close. Next time well make the drive to Point Blank in Mentor.
If you want to see a lot of guns for sale, they have many. If you want friendly and helpful staff, go somewhere else. Anytime I wen in there almost all the workers were in need of customer service lessons. Most act like know it alls and look down on you. The only thing I liked about their place was the ability to shoot .50 Action Express and high powered rifle rounds like a 7.62. If it was the place place on earth to shoot indoors, I probably would go there....only because of the love I have for shooting firearms.
Avoid this range at all costs. I have used it three times and will never go there again. The staff is rude and will get in your face for no reason. They are looking for conflict and are very angry. If you go, your experience will be terrible. Pay attention to the other people posting bad experiences on this board. Pick any other range. Do not support them.
I walked in and was greeted quickly. I explained I was interested in using the shooting range. A man came out of no where and said NO. I asked why? He told me because you dont have any experience. I asked what makes you say that? He said I can tell by looking at you. I argued with him a bit then left. I cant believe this place is still open. I will never go here again. I can see from the other post that a lot of people dont like this place. I highly recommend not going here.
This place is horrible! especially if you are black, or even half black like I am. every time I have ever been there they spoke down to me rude and nasty! except when I came as a police officer to qualify with the rest of my dept. I recently asked a friend if he wanted to go there to shoot his a r15 with me. He said he will not go there cause they are rude and racist. I went alone cause my brother lives close and i had a little time. what do you the employee tony right away said why are you here.. I replied to shoot. He then said nasty show me your gun, (as if i was doing something wrong) I told him my my friend would not come because you are so rude , and now i am reminded of that. he called me dude... and told me good i can leave then. I said gladly ! My friend was black and also a policeman . his experience with this place the sam but at a separate time!
Ive been coming here for over 20 years and Ive never had a bad experience at Stonewall .I dont know where these negative folks are getting their info from. The staff are very professional and astute.Their gun prices are competitive and range prices are the cheapest Ive encountered. It is in my opinion that everyone should take a gun safety course before being allowed to shoot on a public range.Remember this is a gun shop , not Burger Boys where you have it your way!!
First time Ive ever seen a 11-12 year old working behind the counter in a gun range, un-loading guns. Wow. Seems like there should be a criminal violation with that. After seeing a google review score of 9 out of 30 I should have known better than to go here but I said why not give them a try.DO NOT GO HERE. Incredible rude staff - Im not sure how they stay in business. If you think the customer has the right to be treated poorly then I guess go here.Overpriced merchandize plus a rude staff should equal a business that goes under. I guess the lack of gun ranges in the area ensures that they dont.
I read some of these negative reviews, I go there all the time and have never had a problem with any of the staff being rude or unhelpful. Theyve always helped out and have answered any questions Ive had. Stonewall also has a great selection of firearms and accessories.
This place has the most inconsiderate staff in the business. If youre not handing them money for something they couldnt care less about the customers needs. Been there a few times but will not go back after today. Gun prices are fair, ammo is high, range service is a joke unless the place happens to be dead, if its crowded the staff will be too busy screwing around or bickering to keep things moving.
The staff are caustic and rude. Any question directed to the staff is met with a 6 second delay followed by a face cringe. There was a lot of passive aggressive mumbling and grumbling going on behind the counter. You get the sense they dont take kindly to gun noobs at all and the place really plays into the hick/hillbilly stereotype. This is obviously a generalization, there was one informative and respectful guy but I think he was the CZ rep and didnt actually work there. I rarely rate 1 star for any establishment but avoid this place like the plague.
Went there 9 years ago as a newbie shooter looking for my 1st pistol.Awfully rude staff back then, told me I shouldnt use a semi-auto as a beginner and were extremely egomanical. Returned a few weeks agonothing has changed. Why run a business like this if you alienatecustomers? BTW, as a newbie 9 years ago I did by a H&K 45, about 3 hours after leaving Stonewall. Since then Ive bought a Ruger GP-100, Taurus 454 Raging Bull, Mossberg Persuader 12 guage, Glock 20C, Ruger LCR, another HK P30 and yesaterday I bought a Walther PPK 22LR. Spend lots of time at various ranges. All these purchases and all my range time will NEVER be at Stonewall. They dont need my money anyway, since they are all millionaires!
I only go there to use the range since there the only one in Cuyahoga County buying wise ill go spend my money at Fin feather Fur in Middleburgh hts or at B&T shooting supplies in Parma hts. I bought my s&w m&p15-22 rifle there and they were the only ones in the area that had it but they wanted $100 more and plus they dont price match i learned my lesson
Today on 7/25/15 I was there in the morning , was serviced by a grumpy old man who has zero interest in customer service. wish he had a name tag so I could tell to the owner what his name was. younger guy with beard on the contrary is always pleasant when I get there
Biggest group of idiots Ive ever met. Hiring criteria must include no IQ over 60. Seriously just brain dead rednecks pushing people towards the most profitable items with no reason why. The range is nice, until you realize their rules are made by the same brain dead individuals with no rhyme or reason. 1 round in an AR type rifle, that does nothing for safety except causes me to get muzzle swept from the guy next to me reloading said mag. Worst range I have ever been to. Every visit is worse than the visit before.
They treat youngsters very rudely by saying disrespectful things...idk if they do it on purpose or not, but I got highly offended..this brought my review down to a 3* but then I asked for some help regarding my firearm and they said they were too busy but literally the 4 guys behind the counters were just sitting there talking to each other..its all good though overall I like the range because Ive been there before but this one experience has me thinking about taking my business elsewhere.. overall 2 Stars because its a good range but I was treated bad but it might have just been with me!
Bought a gift for a friend at Christmas. Was told they do not offer gift receipts. We were told merchandise purchased was returnable but it was never explained there was a time frame to do so.Called store to confirm policy and advised they would not accept a return.I will never go back...
I was walking in to the store and the two employees told me they were closed and then had a laugh about it. This is not how you do business. I hope your company goes under tomorrow or sooner. This is also not my first bad experience there.Jamie is correct, DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION.
I called to see if they had a gun available to rent and the guy said they no longer carry it. when asked how long has it been since they had it. he responded it doesnt matter if it was yesterday or 2 weeks ago its gone. That is not customer service now Ive been waiting for them to reopen because I her such great things about them but I guess Ill take my money elsewhere!!!!I have never been to this store so i can not comment on their quality I put it at 0 only because I can not submit a review with out ranking all 3 categories.
There are few good staff members and few that are terrible I had one mess with me which I dont care about it but Im the customer so they lost some of my buiessnes I only go when I need to sight in a scope the member said something about beating my ass leave it at that there is one guy that is very very good and a good counter man this was few years ago dont no if its any better
Horrible. The guys working there must have to fill out a pompous prick application to work there. Especially the blonde guy dress as some knockoff D list action hero with holster across his stomach. Sorry buddy heard you didnt make the cut for Tool Academy on VH1, better luck next year. Im sure some one will recognize you for the douchebag you really are. I actually can almost understand as you probably make 8.50 an hour working all sunday as a 32 yr old. So i can almost get it why you are that way. Say, Ill help you out! Come work on my front lawn with Jose and Jesus and Ill give you 9.50/hr. Someone needs to pick up the cat crap and the Mexicans say they are above it.
Guys at the front desk were very helpful with everything only got to shoot my rifle one round at a time which sucked due to it being a high powered rifle amo is high priced and when i went to check out for the day there internet service suddenly stopped working and i was not able to use my card the lady which runs the place was very rude to her employee shouting at him and then told me 3 of my cards were declined becuase of her machine was down due to the internet and i was forced to leave my gun and drive to giant eagle to withdraw cash SAVE UR MONEY AND TIME and do NOT go to STONEWALL
I was reallydisappointed I drove up there I took 1hr 45 me and brother and rent a gun there service bad and gave me wrong bullet for gun he said I did dint put in gun he said have no experience I had my license for three years and longer than that they dontblame them selfs for there mistakes ??????? The are racists they dont bl ame there selfs

2022-07-08Brian was very knowledgeable and helpful through the whole process of buying a handgun and ammo. The store was clean, organized, and well stocked. The prices were very reasonable. They offer a variety of safety courses. I also look forward to coming back to try out their indoor shooting range. I would highly recommend Stonewall Tactical for all your home defense needs!

2022-07-18They have some rules I don’t like in the range (although I don’t like them I understand why), however they great customer service, good inventory, and good prices. I’ve only used their range, but they were extremely helpful on every question I asked. I would definitely recommend this place.

2021-12-24I really like this range. It’s clean, organized and safe. The range is well ventilated and comfortable. The staff has been very friendly and helpful when I’ve had questions or needed anything. The instructors from Action Defense are also very good. I plan to take more courses from them.

2021-12-27Always friendly staff, the gun smith was fair priced, ammo, pistols, rifles, nice selection, good prices. Rentals available,Range clean(MOST TIMES ) some times you get a little more brass than usual but not crazy, and the price for a stall an hour is more than fair and they dont worry about 3,5, min over.nice place to bring a date or your mom or dad.

2021-12-06Visited first time today. Employees are very polite, attentive, and involved. Range might need a little bit more sound insulation. Has good stock even during this shortage. Hope to do business with them soon.

2021-12-18As I was there a couple times years ago and said I would never go back do to the rude condescending sales people. A Friend brought Me back today to the range. As Eric , Bruce and I did not catch the other guys name. Were awesome, helpful knowledgeable and great to talk to. I will be back and probably get a membership. Thank you for your help.
