Pizza is excellent and the service from the owners on down is beyond amazing. We were greeted before we walked in, the gentleman apologized that there may be a wait. He then offered all 5 in my party a drink while we waited and had us seated within 10 mins. When we left, our waitress and two gentleman all thanked us sincerely for coming in and welcomed us back. One of the gentlemen actually came out to the parking lot to say thank you and apologize that he missed us before we left. It’s a business where ownership has pride in what it’s doing and genuinely appreciates their customers. I’ll continue to support them.
Excellent pizza! Just the right amount of toppings, not too much sauce or too little sauce. Their pizza is very consistent it tastes the exact same every time I order. I alway make the mistake of eating a piece or two in the parking lot and end up eating the whole pizza in my car before leaving.
What a great experience we had. I brought my wife and two girls in because I had heard of how great their pie was. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing! Thin crispy crust pizza isnt normally my thing but this was excellent. The staff were very friendly. I especially want to say how awesome Angie our waitress was, Im pretty sure my girls are currently trying to adopt her. The live music was such an awesome and unexpected pleasure. Alex, the owner, made it a point to come and talk to us and our girls and it really just made their day. We will definitely be back soon!
Stadz is a great place for pizza. They have other items on the menu but I cant get past the pizza. It is just three way I prefer - thin crisp crust, tasty sauce, generous toppings (pep mushroom). Stop and eat-in our get it to-go. Prices are very reasonable. The staff and owner are very friendly.
I was seeking places that were popular on a Facebook group and I went to Stadz to see what I would think. They were hard to spot from the road as there is no street signage with their name on it and the sign on the business just says pizzeria. They have plenty of parking both out front and around back. You sit down and order with a server. I ordered a small pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza with extra sauce along with an Italian sub. There is a TV for sports and such in the dining area and they played good music from the 60s and 70s which goes along with their decor. They brought the food out as things were ready, first came the sub, right out of the oven - no waiting for it to be brought to me. It had a good amount of meat and the dressing was flavorful and the bread was baked just right and not too much. The pizza crust was cracker thin and the mushrooms were fresh. I found the toppings in good coverage and it is even good the next day; cold, right from the fridge. They are on the other side of town from me which would be why I cannot say if I will return but should I be across town then I know of a good pizza joint.
Visited here with a coworker a couple weeks back. He loves this place. It is pretty good, but its just pizza imo. Its good, dont get me wrong, but nothing struck me as special. The dining room wasnt my vibe, but I was going for the pizza, not the dining room. Anyway, 4/5, definitely worth visiting
We are always looking for new pizza places to try (who isnt??) when we heard about Stadz and found out it was only 3 miles away and we had no idea!!!! This is a true hidden gem!!!! Homemade pizza dough, sauce, meatballs! Everything is fresh and delicious. The crust is that perfect crisp and flaky crust that lets you know this wasnt pre-made and shipped in. The staff is very nice and when we picked up we were pleased to see they have a dining room, which we WILL be visiting very soon!! Every chance I get to tell someone about Stadz I take it and I have never heard anything negative in response. Now I want pizza!!!
Edit: not sure why it came through this account, but this is Adam Smith.Drove past this place hundreds of times in the last decade or so and today we had a company dinner/meeting there, I think we sampled a lil bit of everything. No complaints whatsoever. Quite possibly one of my top 3 places. Always seems to be the smaller places that deliver a good pie among other items. Service was top notch. Climate Heating and Cooling will be back for more! Really wanted to try a sub, so we’ll be back. A+++
My brother and I had dinner at Stadz this afternoon for the first time, but it certainly wont be the last. The owner, Alex, immediately greeted us and was warm and welcoming. The pizza was so terrific and came to us hot and bubbly. They have cornered the market on thin crust in town. The best Ive had yet. A combination of crispy and flaky as well as chewy. Also tried the meatballs which our server proudly proclaimed she makes by hand. The walls are adorned with photos and quotes from both local and famous musicians, and they have live local music on Fridays. We will be back again soon. Thanks for the experience. Joe & Jerry.
We rode past this place last weekend and I decided to try it out later that night, not realizing it was the same place that is raved about on Pizza Connoisseurs FB page. I was excited to try it out.It was cool to see live music, but I was only there for pick up. I wasnt impressed with how long I had to stand at the counter to even be acknowledged that I was standing there, even though it was clear that several employees saw me. I was taken care of after almost 2 minutes, but they certainly were not very friendly. We only ordered a pizza and Im not sure if they always make it this way, but the crust was much too crunchy and was a bit burnt. The flavor aside from the crust was good. It would have been a great bar pizza after several cold ones but not for carry out pizza. The subs look delicious and wish I would have tried one, but will probably stay with one of my favorite places for now.
Lived in Blacklick for 7 years and first time trying it out! Staff was extremely friendly when my son and I came in for pickup. We ordered meatballs, cheesy garlic bread and a large pep, sausage, ham and banana pepper. Meatballs are definitely handmade and remind me of what you would find in a great Italian restaurant. Pizza crust was just the right crispy and toppings were plentiful and full of flavor. Food was outstanding, without a doubt my new favorite pizza place!
Came here for the first time tonight after seeing the good reviews, and boy I’m glad we did. It felt so good to be out and having dinner with live music and a beer, especially after being cooped up inside for so long. and the pizza! The pizza was so good- the star is definitely the sauce, so flavorful and fresh, 10/10. True Midwestern tavern-style pizza. Honestly it made my day.We will definitely be back!!
Ok, tried Stadz today. All the Way, as is my usual for my first time somewhere. Plus cheesy garlic bread. The garlic bread was damn near PERFECT!! Crispy edges but doughy and cheesy center, perfectly garlicky, and the dipping sauce was delicious! The pizza was piping HOT, crispy crust, the toppings were flavorful and crunchy! The banana peppers added something different and I loved it. I took a few slices to work this evening and heated them up in the microwave (not ideal), but the crust stayed crisp. Then between working my last slice got cold, but I didnt feel like running back to the microwave. DELICIOUS cold pizza! It was a little hard to find at first, very small building, but Ill definitely be back!
Stopped in on a whim and Im glad I did, owner and staff were extremely friendly and love what they do. And what they do is make the best pizza Ive had in years. I was a fan of Pizza Cottage and this was better. I ordered the All The Way and it was perfect and every ingredient was fresh and extremely tasty. Reminds me of the small town Mom and Pop pizza places I remember as a kid....and its been that long since Ive seen a place I liked this much.
I love this pizza I treated my coworker to some after he completed some work for me and he went back and bought another pizza to take home to his wife. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and this place is top notch. Top five on my pizza list and rotation. They have amazing subs as well. The staff is always friendly so check them out you wont regret it
Love the pizza here, but the subs and salads are great too. Alex (the owner) just started serving beer also. That makes it even better.Update on 11/13/20:Still love it! Got a large pizza to go ..30 minute drive home and family thought it was absolutely delicious. The cracker crust is awesome.
This place has Great pizza. If It werent for local search engines and social media, I would have never, in a million years, found this place. The pizza was memorable. Our Large pepperoni had generous toppings and a great balance of sauce to cheese. Our household usually enjoy more of a less sweet sauce and Stadz sauce was well spiced and flavorful. I also purchased a small All the Way, their deluxe. It had a generous amount of toppings but not sooo much that it cut into the ovens ability to cook the crust and the sauce. A lot of deluxe pizzas come out soggy. Speaking of Crust, its easily one of the best in the city. Thin and crispy, the cracker crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy without feeling stale (which can happen) I will be coming back again. Great pizza!
Stadz pizza is a great place to go when you want a good pizza, and a friendly atmosphere. They were very accommodating of my lactose intolerance, and made me a pizza with lite cheese which tasted great! Overall its a nice local place to go to get some good local pizza.
This pizza is by far my favorite I have ever had. Their cheese is outstanding and the crust is a thin cracker crust. They have choices of beer and wine in addition to everything else. On the weekends they have a band, its just a great atmosphere. Alex is always friendly and welcoming any and every time I see him, including just around town. Great little gem.
I ordered a double meat Italian sub which was very good. I also ordered the pound of wings with Garlic Parmesan sauce and when I got home I found the wings and sauce separate. I fully expected the wings to be coated in the sauce but not the sauce on the side as a dipping style sauce. Will not order wings from them again.
I have been getting pizza here for several years and had given a 5 star review - really liked the pizza. But the last several visits the pizza has been terrible. Tonight it was WAY over done - dry stiff cheese, brittle pepperoni, practically inedible. I just cant understand how the employee who cut the pizza looked at it and decided it was ok. I could see right away it was wrong. I genuinely like the people there and they used to make great pizza but I wont be going back.
Outstanding pizza, one of the best in town, and a new favorite of mine. Super thin crust, perfect pepperoni cups with very little grease (just enough), and a delicious sauce that’s flavorful and not overly sweetened. It’s the perfect balance of flavor and consistency, cooked to perfection. Live music on Saturday nights and an open stage Monday nights. Spectacular beer selection, something for everyone to make them happy. Check them out, you’ll be glad you did!
Pretty good pizza. The crust was excellent. The place as a whole was typical hole-in-wall independently owned pizza dive with an added flair. The walls are covered with music and musician memorabilia. A signed posted boasts an open mic night, and past the dining area sits a big alcove labeled in script Music I assume that is the stage area which was not in use during my visitThe staff was quite courteous and clearly remembered my dining companions as regulars where as this was my first visit. Its a wonderful thing for staff to remember you as the promptly stated their wine was stocked.Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name. Or at least know your drink order and has made sure your wines stocked. And theyre always glad you came especially on open mic night. You want to be where you can see the troubles are all the same or feel like your in a familiar laid back come as you are friendly atmosphere. You want to be where everybody knows your name. And you know the owners since he just came out to introduce himself to every table of guests.
I saw someone post on facebook that Stadz pizza in Blacklick was really good authentic pizza, so I had to try it for myself and I could not agree more! The pizza is so good and the staff was so friendly. Definitely one of my new favorite pizza places in the area. 100% recommend, we will most definitely be back.**great atmosphere, can’t wait to be able to eat there when this is all over.
Went after work with a couple friends on a Wednesday evening. Ordered 2 pizzas both of which were most excellent. From the crust, sauce and toppings everything was excellent. The size of the pizzas we ordered were large. I bring this up because we ended up taking half of each pizza home. The toppings were edge to edge and a lot of each topping. For example the amount of pepperoni on each pizza would have been called a double pepperoni or a pepperoni lovers pizza. The crust was a wonderful thin crust baked to perfection. The food was so good all three of us dining ordered food to go. The service was great and the owner is on site making the pizzas daily. A nice casual dining area with high definition televisions for viewing while dining. The pizza here is amazing. The owner was a very nice gentleman, who came out to our table several times. He delivered our pizzas. This is a family owned and operated pizzeria and it shows.
Honestly, this is the best pizza I have found in the Columbus area. I live 35 minutes away but the drive is worth it. Ive been here about 4 times, and the pizza was consistently amazing on every visit. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great. The owner and staff are very friendly. I would probably be here every week if I lived closer.
Its tough to describe Stadz Pizzeria with one word, like the word isnt worthy enough alone... Great, awesome and magnificent might scratch the surface. This is now my favorite pizza place in Ohio. From now on when I need pizza and a morale boost Im going to come here. The people make the place and the only thing better than the people is the pizza. The people are great but the pizza is heavenly. Its like time traveling back to a time when things were good and you didnt have to lock the doors. I live 20 minutes away but from now on Stadz is where Ill be getting my pizza. Everyone should try this pizza at lease five times in their lives. They could charge $40 bucks for one of these and I would happily pay! Its worth it!
The BEST, BEST, BEST pizza ANYWHERE!!! Stadz IS the bar when it comes to pizza. The service is outstanding, and once you are known there you are treated like family. If you like music (or can play or sing music) the best nights to go are Mondays (Open mic night) and Saturdays (Live music night). If you dont believe me then go try it for yourself, I GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL GO BACK OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
Wow! Best pizza in town without a doubt. Its not often Im willing to try new places, espically when it comes to pizza. I can now say, Stadz has earned a new customer for life. No need to order from anywhere else! Great people, great atmosphere and great pizza! Ive already statutes recommending to friends and family!
5 star all the way. I love this pizza. My co-worker and I have been going here for lunch at least a few times a month for the past few years. Their pizza is one of the best thin crust pizzas youll ever have. The service is fast. The owner is very friendly and personable. The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. A word of warning, one taste and youll be hooked for life.
Good pizza place, thin crust Ohio/Midwest style. Used to be called The Big Cheeze. Has live music on the weekends and a bar scene. Only critique is the couple times Ive had it, they were light on the sauce.Definitely a great place for this style of pizza in the area.My personal rating is 4.5 but Google doesnt allow decimal reviews - usually Id round up on a 4.5 or above, but because of the light sauce I decided to round down.
This is by far my husbands favorite pizza!! I usually get a salad or a sub and the food is always great! The bread on the subs is just perfect, not too thick, so a good ratio with all the toppings! Owner is friendly and its always clean and has a nice comfortable feel inside!
We just moved to Blacklick and decided to take the family out for pizza. I saw previous reviews and thought sounds great. I am so happy we went to this amazing pizzeria. The staff was super friendly and the owners are by far the nicest I have ever met. Never in all of my previous dining experiences has a owner came to my table while dining and just talked to us. Usually its a manager and just wants to know how the food tasted. They welcomed us to the area and talked with us for a few minutes. We will definitely visit this place in the future.
Great experience, thin crust pizza, and great sauce. Wonderful owners, live music several nights a week, pizza and garlic bread are quite tasty. Only downside is they dont have Coca Cola products. Otherwise hard to beat and best pizza in Gahanna / New Albany. Say hi to Alex, one of the owners and a musician if you stop by for dinner or takeout.
If you enjoy thin crust pizza .. this place is not to be missed. Crunchy crust .. lots of toppings .. friendly, attentive service ... took the leftovers to work the next day and heated them up in the toaster oven.. delicious. Can’t believe this was my first time here.
Was hoping to taste the 5 star rated food, unfortunately with the staff NOT wearing MASK OR GLOVES we decided to err on the side of caution and not order with them, during this pandemic. Just felt this is needed important information for those of us that care about health and food safety during COVID.
Nice little family pizza joint. Ive never been here and dont live close, but took some out of towners staying at a hotel close by. Really good pizza, a good beer list, friendly staff, and easy parking. The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to lack of AC...or if there was, it didnt seem like it.
This pizza will blow your mind! Ive never had anything like it and believe me Ive had a lot of pizza in my life! The CRUST alone is like none other! It has a lightweight, super crispy cracker taste to it. The service is great. You can tell this is a treasured restaurant in Gahanna/Blacklick. The prices are decent. This is a small business well give our money to for years to come!

2022-04-01My husband has ordered pizza from here several times and today was my first time eating at the restaurant. We arrived around 5:45 pm and it wasnt too busy or crowded (more people arrived while we were there so it did fill up fast). We were able to seat ourselves and look over the menu. I ordered the open faced sub with chicken and onion and my husband ordered BBQ wings and a small pepperoni pizza. The food didnt take long to arrive and everything was wonderful. 😍 My sub was cheesy, crunchy, and tasty and the wings were decent sized. Our total was around $52 so its not a cheap spot but the quality is definitely there. 👌🏻

2022-02-24Went yesterday for the first time. Pizza was very, very good. Great crust, Great toppings. I especially liked the style of pepperoni.... its the kind that curls up, and gets almost crunchy, but still chewy. The service was on point, and the beer was cold. What more could you ask for. No wonder the place was packed on a Wed night! 5 Stars!

2022-04-07Excellent visit, its easy to miss the pizzeria if you arent looking for it. Pizza is very good, cheese curds are excellent and overall larger than most places I get them from. Servers are friendly and attentive. The beer is by far the coldest in the city, I love it so much. Great place to eat and have a few drinks, definitely worth a visit.

2022-03-20Nice place! Alex ( Owner) On point with service and atmosphere. Pizza was a good cracker crust with good flavored pepperoni, old school atmosphere and taste. It was nice to have Alex come over and chat for a while, as he did with everyone. Nice touch of class with unexpected live entertainment. Drove 40 plus miles to try and I will be back!

2022-03-16Great place to enjoy GREAT pizza!!! Staff is awesome! We need to support places like this instead of the chain stores. Even if your not very close its worth a trip to Stadz to see how much better the pizza and service is when the staff and owners care! Make it a point to try this wonderful place.

2022-04-07Tasty thin crust pizza, subs, salads, and a bunch of appetizers. The All In is one to try, if you have never been before. It is a local spot, and a bit out of the way, so dont expect to to find your normal pizza chain specials. Dont be put off by the look of the building, the food is good. They have a deep music connection too, with a lot of musical memorabilia on the walls, and live music at times.

2022-02-28Not a fan, I tried it based on the Facebook group: Pizza connoisseurs of Columbus. I ordered a large pizza and wings. The crust was great, good crunch and not too thick or thin. Toppings were spread evenly and placed to perfection. The sauce tasted pretty ordinary, nothing fancy but good enough. However, the cheese, thats where things threw me off. Seems like there were different types of cheese for our half and half pizza. The all cheese half had way too much of some unfavorable cheese. The other half with topping had cheese that was just okay. I would give it a 5/10. The wings were clearly frozen and then cooked. They tasted very mushy and fatty, gross. We just did not enjoy them at all, and whats the point of saying you can have sauce on your wings if it doesnt come that way. The sauce comes in the side, 2/10. To be honest, Im not a fan in the slightest...
