Spent 4 years going to another Major Cleveland Hospital for Cervical pain after seeing doctor after doctor and going through many different treatments that did not work, I made a appointment with St Vincent within 3 weeks I was in surgery, I could not a big enough review to say how happy I am with the Doctors and Hospital Staff even the reception and parking lot people were just as friendly and made my stay very comfortable. I am very happy I switched its been 1 week and after living with pain the past 4 years Its very hard to sit around waiting to heal, I have not felt this good in so long. The room I was in was updated, very clean the food was great. I tell everyone that has the same issue I had with this other hospital system to switch they will be very happy. Thank you everyone at St Vincent
I had a left knee replacement in 2013 and my doctor and his associates were the very best. The nurses at the hospital are so caring and understanding and you really feel good in a very safe environment. I was so pleased with the care and the Doctor, that I just had my right knee replaced in August of 2014, The nurses, Doctor, and all people are the very best and I can not say enough good stuff about the experience. Thank you all, Dr. Keppler and associates and all hospital nurses and staff and the priest that came to visit me. you are the best. I love all of you. .
My mother was placed here after having a heart attack. In two weeks time her health went downhill fast. Why? Ill tell you why. They never started any physical therapy as they should have and when she stated that they were not to increase her oxygen levels they simply ignored her. My Mom has a rare lung condition and because of this great care has to be taken. So after two weeks she was still not up on her feet, because no therapy was given to her. As a result of this she has sores on her body. No timely bathing was given either. I would not place my worst enemies in the hands of this incompetent hospital.
Whoever is putting good reviews on here about St. Vincent is absent minded and from Cleveland and I cant expect very much in a city that is 40 years behind time. St. Vincent is not updated with the latest medical technology or research as bigger booming cities with billions of dollars coming in where Doctors are constantly evolving and updated. Im from a bigger booming city where the Doctors and medical staff is much smarter with updated and state of the art technology. A Doctor at St. Vincent who sadly probably thought I was from Cleveland (please dont insult me) told me I could eat sausage or bacon and eggs before having a colonoscopy procedure done. I know for a fact that this is not correct. I asked the Doctor and his medical office staff (three older ladies who sit at the front desk in the St Vincent Healthcare Center) if I was going to be put under general anesthesia/sedation to get this procedure performed. The Doctor started joking around and talking about a man who was singing while awake and getting a colonoscopy procedure done. I then stated that this is no laughing matter and that I am from the East Coast and had this procedure performed only under general anesthesia and not while I was awake watching what the Gastroenterologist was doing. The Doctor then walked away and never answered my question. I then questioned the older ladies at the front desk again. They looked at me with a blank look on their faces like they didnt know what I was talking about. I thank God I had this procedure done in a state of the art Hospital under general anesthesia on the East Coast in a bigger city with billions of dollars coming in so I know the difference. St. Vincent is out of date and cant afford to put a patient under general anesthesia. Also Cleveland is still broke too. I decided not to get my procedure done at St. Vincent but instead am happy to say I finally got the procedure done at University Hospital under general anesthesia and I am fine.
I am an addict. I have been for serveral years. I reached out to St. Vincent to get help with my substance abuse problems. I was denied treatment bye Lynne (detox intake employee) because I had been there before and she said she will not help me. As an addict I have made bad decisions and have relapsed. I am serious about seeking help and was turned away. I believe that there duty in that part of the hospital is to help anyone who has the willingness to get help. How do you turn addict away that truly wants to get help? Why even have a substance abuse program that denies someone with a drug problem?
I was just released today after an emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. Everyone from the ER staff, the surgeons, the medical staff, the housekeepers, the dietary workers deserve more than five stars, but thats the highest I can give here. Charity is more than part of their name - it is a mission that they live. Thank you! I cant say that I want to come back for another stay, but Thank you for the one that just concluded.
All clinical staff were amazingly empathetic and thorough. The rest of the care team (housekeeping, food & beverage, etc...) was willing to go the extra mile for my comfort. Ive been a patient in ALL the major health systems in Cleveland (including, CCF, UHHS, Metro, etc...) and this place has been my best experience. Hands down.
This is the worst hospital in the of Christs creation! They refused to treat me even though I had insurance. I was tranquilized for talking about JESUS in a Catholic hospital, woke up on the fourth floor, was forced to take medication after multiple injections and an IV and my parents filed a missing persons report in Summit County as well as my brother in Franklin County. They are practicing SATANISTS and should be dis-barred from the medical community. I was kidnapped for ELEVEN DAYS and forced to quit my job because the POLYTHESITC non-practicing Catholic Doctor refused to sign my paperwork. They didnt even let me go to mass on PALM SUNDAY and charged an exorbitant fee. THEY ARE CRIMINALS and should be prosecuted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation for an assassination attempt of a practicing Catholic. The SOCIAL WORKER Illegally released my identification bag and my apartment lease was cancelled. They lost my property and LIED to the Insurance Company. The ENTIRE building can ROT IN HELL!
Saint Vincent Hospital is where the Lions Club is located. Lions Club has a program they gives glasses for $10 included are frames and lenses any codings you want you have to buy out of pocket. There are handy cap door, bathrooms. The parking lot is not connected to the building the 2nd door from the parking lot is the door that takes you to the walk way that leads to the main hospital.St Vencen Hospital is a Catholic hospital, so there are many religious articles all over the hospital. They to take care of everyone.
I love St.Vincent.. The Drs I deal with are the Best..Sadly, the Emergency Room has fallen into, well it needs rehabbed..and I am Talking about the entrance, It is so hard to get into with a useless Bar separating your vehicle and the entrance...WHY is that there..so hard when you are scared and in intense pain..instead of Health Care Professionals.. There is a Security guard who is too busy picking his ..well..whatever can be picked..Then, when you enter you must Sign in on a Plastic easy wipe board and MAYBE the will Triage you..then maybe you will be called to come back and, well then you basically diagnose yourself and made to sound like a druggy when the Dr. says..what do you want..hmmm..HELP...you ARE the Dr. ..then you are tolds he wont gi ve you pain meds which is FANTASTIC as I am under the care OF a Pain Med Doc..but I still have so much pain in my neck/shoulder... maybe you can look at it..see..he stood in the doorway the 5 minutes he looked at me, saying..Sir, I do not know what you want...oh..nothing..I thought this was an Emergency room...then He says..I will give you a muscle relaxer shot...hmmm a diagnosis with no x ray..no touch for heat or anything oh and advise too see a specialist..anyhow...take away the E.R. And t is a fantastic Hospital...sadly, the E.R. Is a non caring place..my Nurse Was awesome though..great hair cut..lol..and very kind and caring..but the Dr...not so good..smh.
I had a 2 foot and ankle surgeries here and walk like a champ now Thanks to Dr Canales and his team and I had pneumonia so bad that i got admitted to the hospital and 2 weeks later they got it out of me so i am ever grateful to this hospital cause i almost died from this and i had no hospital insurance at the time and they took me in
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

2022-02-16The emergency room staff was excellent!! It wasnt until I hot on the floor that my care deteriorated. The physicians were horrible. Even tho I was throwing up lots of blood and having very bloody stools to were my hemoglobin went from 11 to 7, they refused to treat my pain. I was told that I needed to force myself to keep the water and pills down and that no matter what I could only have 1 dose of iv pain medicine fir the whole time I had to be in ICU or the hospital and that I couldnt ask for anything again and that I should go AMA.I tried to ask the dr a question and she began to yell at me and tell me that her decision was not up for debate. I have never done drugs of any kind but the way that I was being treated was so very unfair and disrespectful. I will nit be returning.

2022-05-28Dr. Hasan Ebahwsha,. M. D. Very unethical. I only saw him for two months. Left numerous of messages to return call...never did. Some of his staff are liars and rude. N.please find a good reputable doctor ten months here in this state and I havent found a good doctor yet. Awful experience wanting me to take medication I am allergic to. How awful is that.

2021-12-09A joke of a hospital. Theyre one of the few thats as bad, if not worse than Metro Hospital in Cleveland. 1st I saw a spine surgeon in Solon Ohio, I waited 5 weeks to hear something and if I didnt call I wouldnt have known that the surgeon I saw didnt renew his contract. Getting ahold of anyone there is next to impossible. I saw a different surgeon there, 12/8/2021, and he wanted to do shots in my back again. Which they know that one they dont work on me and two they make me physically ill. And I think most importantly, one hand doesnt talk to the other. The Solon office has one of my test results (nerve induction study) and they never scanned it into their system. And the Independence office wants it. They should have access to it, unfortunately as stated they dont communicate, so now I have to call the original clinic I had the test done to get those results. Which they no longer have. I was told I need surgery as a result of a car accident, but all they want to do is run me in circles. When my back does go out again, Im going back to lake west hospital in lake county Ohio. At least with them theyre competent. Im forced to have the soon office to send in their final reports to my attorney for my accident. If they still have them, which I doubt. Oh, I almost forgot. My mother told me that their systems and their communication is so poor that my paternal grandparents went there for routine procedures and instead of helping, they died not even 2 months after they were seen there for those procedures.

2022-03-18Went to pick up a new pair of eyeglasses. My eye doctor, Marc Abrams is the best one that I ever knew. I told him that I want to see me when I die and he has granted my wish.

2022-06-17These workers are mad rude. I was scheduled for an appointment at 12. wasn’t called until 1:45 after already waiting 2 hours one day just for them to ask me to come back because there’s on to pick up the specimen was there.

2021-06-08I walked into St. Vincents in july 2020 - the height of the covid pandemic, I was experiencing a week long panic attack. Something like this had never happened to me before, I was hoping to be met with someone who would talk with me, provide care and ultimately provide some kind of relief. I was in no way a danger to myself or others, simply could not stop crying due to the extended derealization/anxiety.They did not admit me to the hospital but instead had a police officer escort me to a wing of the hospital that is a glorified holding cell, you are locked into this area and unable to leave until the doctor sees you. They confiscated every single item I had arrived to the hospital with, was interrogated by the security guard then told to change into a hospital gown. The bathrooms were covered in urine, months of grime and feces built up, truly disgusting conditions for anyone.I am college educated, employed, self aware, with no criminal record - which should not matter!! but this facility seems to assume that anyone who walks in is looking for hard drugs. This unit was clearly meant for people who were a danger to themselves/others. The police kept bringing in new patients who were said to be without housing and dealing with severe mental disturbances. The screaming and crying from the other patients escalated my panic by ten fold. I saw a nurse screaming at one of the detainees and raise her fist as to warn she was going to punch him if he did not stop asking for a blanket. This is a unit of overworked nurses and doctors who mistreat neurodivergent patients.I cannot speak for the main portion of the hospital. I walked into the emergency room looking for help and was immediately treated like a criminal. They held me against my will for 6 hours, would not let me call my family. Locked me in a room and told me to wait (3 hours) for the psychiatrist to see me. I was given a two week prescription of propranolol (used for people post heart attack/hbp) and basically told there was nothing else they could do to help me.There needs to be a better set up to help people dealing with severe anxiety. I left St. Vincent with more trauma than I arrived with. Please consider going elsewhere for mental health issues!!! Real help is out there.
