A lovely church in Elyria with highly involved parishioners.The best part of this church is the Pastor, Father Joseph Scalco. I have not had a confession as alleviating, profoundly nourishing and inspiriting as the one I experienced with him. Patient, careful listener and showed interest by engaging in further delving to better assess. Kind but gentle, he corrected me and encouraged me with words to keep forging ahead. The penance was the most edifying I have ever been giving and shall continue to use it. I wish we had more priests like him. If I am back in town, I will definitely be coming back to this church to meet with this priest.The Holy Mass was a bit overtaken by the different men who participate in the services; for example the introduction to readings, (first time for me). The Deacon seems to be the main attention grabber at the altar and overshadows a very gentle and unassuming pastor. He, the deacon, is amicable to the point of engaging the parishioners from the altar (not pulpit) during the Rite of Peace through signs and gestures more becoming of a friendly encounter outside the House of God.The music is beautiful but definitely custom tailored for the pianist and singer there. The soprano notes she sings are beautiful but challenging for many to achieve and therefore makes it difficult for anyone to participate in praising God with the selected hymns.All in all, I am grateful that I was able to attend the Holy Mass but above all the unforgettable experience of the best confession I have had in a long, long time. One more thing, the reverence Fr. Joseph displays when consecrating the Host and the mild manners he exhibits with the flock entrusted to him is exemplary. A blessed church.

Wonderful church and community. Worship services choirs and organists do a good job in heightening the spirituality of the mass liturgy. Great school well preparing children for the high school years. Of course parent involvement with the children education is a must and is welcomed.

Our family has had nothing but wonderful experiences so far with the parish AND school! It’s exactly the kind of church community and school family we were looking for when we moved to Ohio! We are very excited to see what the years to come will bring!

St. Judes is a wonderful Parish and community. Our family loves Father Kosem and the warmth he brings to the church and services. Everyone we have met at St. Judes has been friendly and inclusive in making our family feel a part of the St. Judes family and community.
