I loved my actual apartment during my time at the Villas, but due to no management or management always changing, nothing was ever taken care of. I have emails from months ago after trying to call the office so many times attempting to get questions answered. I was told by a prior officeworker that my lease was up July 31st, which is what I thought, so I dropped off my key and cleaned the apartment. I now am being told I owe over $800 to pay for another month of rent when I didn’t even live there. I am beyond upset and cannot get a hold of anyone to fix this issue… instead they forwarded this right to a debt collector.
DO NOT RENT from DIETZ PROPERTY GROUPI lived there for 6 years with my two childern. Loved the environment, and most neighbors. Within that time frame there has been 5 different management companies. Each one getting worst! Thank God I got out. Dietz Management company is horrible. I had to fight every step of the way to get anything fixed. They try to strong arm you as if you dont have any renters rights. Dont fight back, because the retaliation gets bad. It took 3 months for my garage door to get fixed, with my car stuck in there. The garages are so bad they are falling apart. My door was hanging off the hinges almost falling on my car. The managers try to tell me I had to take off work when it got fixed without any compromise. Even went as far as giving me a 24 hour notice of me being there.. like thats a thing lol.Dietz maintance came and replaced my water heater. They busted a pipe. I return home after my sons football game with a mantance man waiting for me, only to say we busted a pipe, we dont have the part, your water is off, and it wont be back on till tomorrow sometime. They filed eviction on me, when I paid my rent. I have the documentation. After going rounds with thier corporate office, because on site management wouldnt, or couldnt even answer the phone, or return a call, or even locking the door until you banged on them. And so much more. Now, today I get my final bill for move out, created by Jennifer (manager). Dietz Property Group are trying to charge me almost 5,000.. (what?) I have emails stating from Jennifer I was being let out of my lease; as in no charges, because of the mess they made. There are trying to charge me the attorney fees, that they messed up on and it was dismissed, no deposit shown, and a bunch of damage fees. I so have pictures of everything. 6 years with two kids. Its normal wear and tear. This company just wants your money cause they know come January they will be gone and a new one will move in.If thats not enough, last summer there was a known sex offender living there and recently SWAT busted thru my neighbors door.
Update: So the complex has been bought out and under new ownership. Nothing has improved as far as I can see and hear from other tenants. I have talked to a few other tenants who still havent been able to get maintenance to fix their issues. Such as broken cabinets, leaking toilets, and very loose floor board that someone could potentially fall through. Stoves the maintenance men said needed replaced and its been over a month and still not replaced. I new tenant complained to me about her apartment having roaches only having moved in a few items. Then had to call the office to have pest control come out. On top of all of this. They are now taking away our assigned parking. Which the visitors spots are usually always....... filled and also further away. So now, residents may potentially have to park there car on the other end of the complex. From where they live. Carrying groceries, infants, and toddlers. Even if they dont. This is ridiculous paying $1,300 in rent. Then not be able to park in front of your door where there are parking spaces. And have to walk across the complex. Then the maintenance issues as well.St. Andrews would not recommend. Looks great during tour. Upon moving in we found a mouse problem. Probably due to the area being surrounded buy undeveloped land with tons of trees that come right up to the back porch of the buildings not built on the side near the road. Oh, and the pipes are so loud they scared me when I first heard them rattling in the walls... We also later we found multiple cabinet drawers broken, back screen door taped back together instead or being replaced, a few big cracks in ceilings, leak under sink. They do not have the man power to get maintenance done in a timely manner or maybe its a money issue. Some things have been reported for weeks.... and still no fix. There is no real grass area not even in the back of condos for the kids to play. So tens of kids including little children play in the roads near and around cars. Can smell weed through the walls when the neighbors smoke. We are non smokers so this is an issue for us.
At first I was having an issue getting in touch with property management took about one week and a half, but when I did reach someone, Carrie was absolutely the friendliest person I could have ever met! She has been very helpful with assisting me to become a resident here! I was told she is with the new management and they are working really hard to make things rights for new and current residents that are in need of issues! I have to add Nesha she is also great, the assistant manager has been a great help to me as well! I cant wait to be apart of this community! Great job to Carrie and Nesha!
This property has changed hands at least once a year in the 3.5 years weve lived here and this current property management company is the worst weve ever seen. Since they were able to close the office for covid they are impossible to reach and if you do somehow reach a human, after weeks of emails and phone calls and pounding on the door, they promptly lose anything you give them and ignore you. Weve given them lists of maintenance requests on paper and by email several times and never heard back. After losing our first rent check, they marked every subsequent payment one month behind, even after we provided several types of proof that we paid.
Do not move here. Maintenance never comes and if you win the lottery and someone actually shows up, they look at it but rarely is the issue fixed. That will take another two months if you’re lucky. The apartments are old and not kept up. For the amount of rent you pay this is unacceptable.
Ive lived here for about 6yrs but in the townhome for almost 3yrs. The maintenance request turnaround is horrible. I’ve called and talked to people about a leak in the ceiling of my laundry room and they sent someone out to look at it and that was it. There wasn’t any follow up on their behalf. It’s been about 4wks now and the damage spread in which I’ve called and told them and now there’s water in the light fixture and it’s hanging from the ceiling due to the water damage and it’s filled with water. The ceiling is stained and looking VERY unappealing! There has to be mold living in there which is a health hazard and I’ve told them my son has breathing issues as is. To this day no one has contacted me. So per my attorney I will be contacting the health department next. This is unacceptable and I pay over $1300 to live in such conditions!
Two days before my move in date they switched apartments on me. Went to tour the new apartment that Justin said was a beautiful townhome ready for move in. We went to take a look at the new apartment and it was completely falling apart. As soon as we walked up to the door, the screen protector had a ginormous hole in it. Inside the house, The toilet was gross and needed replaced, the cabinet doors falling off the hinges, all the doors looked like someone had punched them and they just tried to cover it, as well as the frames of everydoor was destroyed, the basement ceiling looked like it was about to cave in and so much more. Julie had overcharged us over $1000 on our expected amount to move in amount. Please dont waste your money on these apartments.
Another unprofessional apartment complex. Me and my sister signed a lease last month with a security deposit $150. After paying and moving in and thinking everything was okay, when going over to pay rent I seen that it was more than what was discussed. After calling up to management they stated that the security deposit should have been $250 instead of the $150 that we paid. But according to the lease that’s not what it states. And if that was the case why didn’t you ever call and let us know? As a company you should take accountability for your mistake and fix it.
I just wanna make an appreciation review for the property managers who has helped me with becoming a resident here at St.Andrews!!! Nesha and Carrie!! They was very helpful returned any call I made and was able to help me with any question I had !! They made the process very smooth even with all they have to deal with during the day they made sure they took care of me !! I just wanna say I’m so excited to be moving in and who ever looking for some apartments call them and they got you !!
I have been here going on my 5th year and I love my apartment. The floor plan, and amount of square footage that you get for a one bedroom is much larger than most.Have had no problems with neighbors or noise issues, so far I have been very happy here..We have a problem keeping property managers. Since Ive been here we have had one every year. We have just transitioned to a new Property Manager and so far I have had quick responses to any requests thus far. Of course we are now dealing with the virus so nothing will be happening now and its understandable, Going with 5* until I have a reason to judge otherwise. June2020
Honestly, one of the best properties I have ever lived at. The manager Gabby is seriously the most impressive manager I have dealt with at all of my apartments and has gone the extra mile to make sure things are fixed or correct so you can go about your day. She will even get it done 10 minutes before closing offered to get me some fire wood when my heater needed a quick fix while it was 25 degrees outside. The other guy property manager is super awesome and helps out doing whatever he can as fast as he can, even jumping my car a few times. The maintenance crew are freaking awesome, they are incredibly helpful even if they are in the middle of another job,and have always been nice, respectful, and willing to go beyond what is necessary to make things happen. The community is very quiet and tranquil, people are friendly and mind to their own business. I recently decided to stay instead of being closer to work and school because I enjoy this property so much and the people who work it. I HIGHLY recommend this property!
I’ve been living in this apartment for three years going into four years I’ve never gotten a good customer service.management is always changing. I have been out of AC for four weeks right now I’ve reported this issue to the management office and they sent a maintenance guy and the guy does not know what the hell is he talking about because my AC is not fixed until this day. Today is June 27 and as you guys know it’s 93° outside today and I’m not able to sleep.
The apartment we were shown was NOT the one we were given. We were placed into one that looks like they got ready for us in one afternoon. There have been several major issues that were fixed after we called about them a few times. The place wouldnt be so bad if they hadnt stuck us in the apartment right next to the one where ALL the kids hang out. It is CONSTANT screaming, yelling, and loud music. We work nights, and had to move our bedroom down to the basement level for some relief from the noise. Kids are constantly in the roads, they dont look where they are going, and have even ran out in front of my truck several times. They throw their balls, and Ive seen them hit cars with them. Honestly not looking forward to spending the next 10 months here.
My fiance and I were extremely excited to tour your community and through our apartment hunting, St. Andrews was at the top of our list. We were highly disappointed when we showed up for our tour and there was nobody there. I even called and left a voicemail asking what had happened and to maybe reschedule. I am extremely disappointed with management and their lack of professionalism.
We moved out a year ago and it was the best decision we ever made. The new staff were by far the worst out of the three new offices changes they made. We have a big dog and every time we needed a repair we asked to be told when he would be coming so he would not freak our dog out. He came into our townhouse 5 different times without telling us. This is illegal in Ohio. Our fireplace leaked heavily when it rained, to the point where it soaked half of our first floor carpet. We had timers set every hour to wake us up to empty the buckets in our fireplace to catch what water we could...we were told multiple times the water damage would not be our fault because it was a roof problem. Lo and behold we were charged for replacing the first AND second floor carpet because of the water damage from the fire place. They also tried to tell us that we left trash when we moved out, we left a full length mirror that was there when we moved in. It was funny because the charge for the carpet and the trash was perfectly-down to the penny-our deposit...literally down to the penny the perfect amount. The staff was nice every time we tried to explain, and often would just agree with us to get us off the phone, and then not do anything to fix the problem. The health department shut down our pool in the summer because it turned jello green. The location was nice, and it was spacious. But these are only the beginning of all the issues we had while renting this place. We also didnt have our ac repaired for over a month...in July...because they only had one repair man for the whole place and they refused to get another person to fix it. After we moved out, we wanted to go to mediation to get this set right, because we were clean and dependable tenants...but they refused. At the end I didnt even care that they took our money, I just wanted to be done with them. Check them out on the better Buisness Bureau...loads of similar complaints.
My husband and I have lived here from 2009- as soon as our lease is up, 2014Its really sad the first 2-3 years the places was really nice, nice neighbors and really nice staff. We enjoyed renting the club house out for parties, even if it was $100. Its safe and I always felt comfortable walking my dog at night. The staff was so nice! The maintenance man is very very awesome, minus the smoke scent left in your house when he leaves.Fast forward to the present and its horrible! Neighbors are super shady, at times I do not feel the safest. There are uncontrollable kids everywhere! They climb on the roof, they ride there bikes all over, then leave them in your yard area. We will have random toys in our front area for months at a time! I am always afraid I am going to hit one trying to park the car!We felt like we were loyal renters so when our rent raised over $75 for the second year in a row, we went in to talk to them. They were so rude made us wait 15 before they even came over to us. Told us they couldnt do anything! Our neighbors who have lived there two years went in they said we can take off $10. Kinda a slap in the face to them, but really we have rented for 4 years never missing a payment! The staff changes all the time, I never see the same person in there. They redo the club house, looks nicer, but you cant rent it out and you cant play pool if they are not there.... Whats the point of that??I was talking to our neighbors who have lived here for 5 years and they are moving as well. You would think they would keep their loyal customers around and not the shady ones they have been renting out too! Take the time and look around at other paces!!So we finally moved...I finally thought we were done with them, not even caring we didnt get our deposit back. We moved out three months ago. We had credit collectors calling us. We are not people who dont pay bills. We picked up the call after the 12th time they called and found out Villas charged us Julys rent. We moved out in June. We were furious and called When I called the office they told me I was the fourth person that has called about this today.I would not suggest anyone move here. The amount of turn over they have in the office. It has come so far down hill in 5 years, I cant imagine it in 5 more. Yikes!!
3 years living here and i must say Julie and the rest of the staff have done a great job of sprucing up the complex and taking care of things! nice, quiet place to live. any problem that i may have had(very few i might add) have been taken care of in a short amount of time. highly recommend!
First I will say this... the previous management company is the reason for all the bad reviews. The new manager Kate is absolutely wonderful to work with. We had a water leak and she responded to my email in less than a minute. We had to move to be closer to family, and Kate has been there to helped make the transition super easy! Which is a complete 180 from when we moved in about 6 months ago. Before I would have rated this place a negative 10 starts, but the new management company that is taking over makes us sad we left and the reason why we are giving this place a different rating!
I wish I could give a negative review. Long story short, when we moved into the apartment the sliding door that opened into my bedroom, never locked and the maintenance/ manager never addressed the major safety concern. Wed lived there for 2 weeks when the apartment behind mine caught fire and traveled over to my loft, our fire alarms never went off, none of the alarms in any of the apartments went off. There was a lot of damage our contents, they essentially told us that they were not responsible for anything that happened. We have insurance but the complex didnt offer any kind of compensation. After the fire, the keys to our apartment would no longer worik, but they left it unlocked so littlerly anyone could enter and take our things. Well I thought this was going to be short, but I guess not. Just dont live here, the managers are rude and just dont care about their tenants safety or treat them fairly.
If I could give this place zero I would. It was a nightmare from the day I signed the lease to the day we left. 1st we were given the incorrect appartment, the management in place at the time never returned my calls or emails. Then that manager was fired and new management came in. I thought this was going to be positive we where finally given the correct appartment however only after I advised I would take legal action and advised they where in violation of the Americans with Disability Act. I had hoped this was turning over a new leaf not so much. We needed grab bars installed and when they tired to in the master bath the wall was rotted out and what was supposedly only going to take a two weeks to fix took months and the grab bars where only installed in the other bathroom. There was a rodent issue in our unit it was great seeing mice scurry across the room I had to email several times to get pest control and when I complained I was told by management they were cold too. There was issues with the hot water which eventually lead to the hot water tank going and being replaced. Water is split between the units so average water bill was 70 or more a month. Then you had tennents using their garages as party central and smoking pot, when I complained I was told tennents where allowed to use the space as they wishes. The manager drove around in her golf cart and would pull straight up to other tennents door and hang out and drink. The overall condition of the appartments are very poor while living there I came home to a fire and sat with other tennents whole their units burned and they lost everything. When I moved out I made it a point to contact management and ask what was required because I didnt want to deal with their collection agency which they send every departing tennent too even though it voilates federal law because the debt is not 30 days old. I was told to pay the final bill immediately so when it was emailed to me I went the next day two weeks later I was receiving calls telling I owed I advised I did not was told according to said records I had not paid yet my check had been cashed. I had to email management, fax the collection co. and threaten legal action if the calls did not stop immediately and I receive poof that my account was paid in full. Oh I forgot to mention they raise your rent anywhere from 150/200 bucks up renewal. I was never so happy to see the moving company pull in and drive out of there with our stuff. Since moving they made the news for yet another fire this time units burned to the ground. If you value your peace of mind and safety look else where.
Update:I ended up having to pay the creditors off even though I was charged $76 for my garage remote that I did turn in and they admitted they found.Dont live here!!!! They automatically turn you into a creditor if you owe money when you move out. They told me 9/10 people dont pay so thats why. Who does business like that?!Also my dryer kept breaking because they wouldnt clean out the dryer vents. They said it was my dryer.... nope!
From the moment I moved in, a nightmare was born. Hopefully my review will save someone else from moving into these decrepit apartments and dealing with the employees and manager, who are completely oblivious as to how to properly run an apartment complex, and it really makes me question if JRK is even a legitimate property management organization. As someone who works in the apartment industry, I find it hard to believe that JRK and the Villas at little turtle havent been shut down by the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General’s Office. They knowingly were in violation of my lease the moment it was written. They moved me into a unit that was barely turned (means preparing an apartment for move in) and had multiple and major ongoing leaks that were continually soaking the living room carpet and walls, the hallway closet ceiling and wall, and let’s not forget the bathroom ceiling leak caused from the bathtub in the unit above, that was obviously and visually rigged with a poor patch job from where they failed to fix it the first time! All of these leaks steadily soaking the dry wall and carpet for months or even years prior to me occupying the unit. This created a mold invested environment and you definitely felt it. Explains the yearlong sinus infection I endured, that miraculously got better after I moved out. It took me a few weeks to realize that my carpet and furniture were getting soaked. I only noticed it because I happen to have been on my hands and knees in the living room wrapping Christmas presents, and upon standing up I noticed my pants wear soaked in water. This caused me to further investigate the problem, revealing that this prior existing leak was now ruining hundreds of dollars’ worth of wooden furniture. After finding the massive leak on a Sunday, I called the on-call emergency maintenance number and was greeted as if I called the wrong person. I had to ask if this was even the right number, as the maintenance technician had absolutely no customer service skills and seemed as if he had no idea what to do. After giving me uneducated and scattered responses, he finally said he would call me back with more information. After an hour, he finally called back to tell me he would have a contractor out first thing Monday. Monday came and went and still no sign of this being fixed. I had to attempt to get a hold of the office once again, only to hear the same thing, we will have our contractor come out in a couple days. This ended up being the story for another 2 months. In the meantime, maintenance was entering my apartment at their own will, against my requests and were installing high wattage dehumidifiers and fan blowers, that ran continually. This drastically increased my electricity bill (needless to say). After months of being lied to by Gabrielle and Sandy, the living room leak was finally fixed, leaving me paying for a hefty electric bill and leaving me with irreplaceable furniture that is now water logged, warped and ruined.Aside from the major leak disaster . I also had to worry about my personal safety. While living there the deadbolt leading to my apartment literally crumbled in my hands while turning the key! Luckily the second time I had a spare deadbolt I was able to put on and insure it was put on the right way, since they failed to do it.If you’re not dealing with financial and health threatening leaks and deadbolt lock failures, then your dodging dog poop and your battling for a parking spot or your waiting on maintenance to come and fix issues that should have been taken care of before move in. Once you survive your falsified and misleading lease, you then have the joy of Gabriel trying to charge you a monthly rent amount of around $1.3k for a one bedroom (has to make you laugh). Next, she will be “attempting” to affect your credit by again, “attempting” to charge you about $500 for unknown reasons, that to this day still have not been shown or presented to me. I guess the TWO devastating fires they encountered in the past 6 months has really got them hurting for cash!
I had the unfortunate experience of being the community manager at this complex. I should tell you I quit this job within 3 months because I couldnt stand to watch how JRK property holding treated their tenants. It wasnt just me the leasing agent also had to leave for moral purposes as well as all the previous staff due to the fact that they had a very high turn over for a reason. I have worked for a number of rental companies and this is by far the worst (for renters and employees). If you rent here you will pay through the nose and get nothing in return. Youve been warned.
First impressions are lasting impressions and upon moving into this townhome left a bad taste in my mouth. Stuff that should have been cleaned and fixed before we moved in were not and are still not. There is no proper communication between residents and the leasing office staff. Although this has a lot of potential to be an ideal place for a family, I will not reccomend this place to any family or friends at this time.
The apartments are a great size and the garage is a great add on, but thats where it stops. I had to deal with neighbors who beat each other and smoked weed constantly, the smell would come into not only my wife and I bedroom but also our little girls. Multiple conplaints to the rental office did nothing and neither did the cops showing up all the time for the domestic violence. After we moved out we never received a bill for what we owed until we got a notice from a collection angency, this place is a joke.
Public Service Announcement: Please do not live here. A 2 year resident. I was blackmailed and swindled. We were the best residents possible. Responsible, quiet, and paid every rent early. I have been disrespected and ignored by staff and JFK the parent company. I am considering taking them to court it has gotten so egress. They incorrectly charged me as I moved out even though they owned me $150 from a deposit. This charge was them immediately sent over to a collections agency. I still call them almost every day trying to sort it out and I would gladly work with them even though its their fault. I am not an angry person yet I have spent a few sleepless nights. I only write this in hopes it helps someone decide. I hope your experience doesnt mirror mine. countless unanswered voicemails and e-mails! Please avoid the place and save yourself a ton of hassle. Very disrespectful and incompetent handling of my situation. Please watch the charges. 4 Managers during the time here. Some were very nice!
This has got to be the worst apartments ive ever been in. Upon moving it i wasnt even givin my keys the first day and my apartment wasnt cleaned and was a disgusting mess with even the previous tenates alcohol still there. The 1st bathroom was flooded and carpets stained and patches missing. Along with all that we had a giant patch job on the wall. They have a bug problem as bugs are everywhere in my apartment. It took them weeks to put my smoke detectors in and the maintenance has entered without permission. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. This isnt even all the worst thats happened.
I only lived here for a year but a year was long enough! From day one it was a bad experience. On our move in day when we arrived the office manager was in our apartment cleaning it saying that the cleaners never came and asked if we could come back later so it could get clean. We only rented our uhaul for the day so that was not possible so we had to unload everything into the living room so they could continue cleaning the rest of the apartment. We had problems with our garage door being open when we did not push the garage door bottom we started noticing whenever our neighbor opened there door ours would comeopen too. We stored a lot of our belongings in our garage so we brought this to the offices attention and they said they would fix it. However when they said it was fixed it was still coming open when the neighbor opened his. So that never did get fixed. The office staff however would be my biggest complaint about our whole experience at THe Villas at LIttle Turtle. They never seem like the know what is actually going on and do not truly care about there residents and care soley about rent. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
Unless you want a constant headache, avoid moving into st Andrews. the management is by far the worst group of people you could meet. The place lies and takes forever to resolve issues. ha no ac and no hot water for a while. after about 2 months they were fixed(not at the same time). Also the children around are vandals and destroy property. Ive had to yell at them numerous times for hitting my car with a basketball, and theirs no basketball court! they also leave trash all over the place. To add insult to injury they are now making the water a flat rate of 86 dollars per month. Me and my wife only spend 20-25 dollars a month! so if they try and tell you that 86 is and avg between all the units, your a fool to believe it. We also use to get gym memberships to a local gym;they stopped that and they decided to make one.its been almost a year now and there is still no gym, just a vacant building by the pool. They have also raised the trash and now we have to pay for pest control? so if you want to live somewhere that the rent increases at about 15% per year, and they nickle and dime you to death over the little things, this is the place for you!
Ive lived here since Sept 1, 2015 and havent had any difficulty since the company placed new management here. Neighbors are very nice, its quiet, and I love the dog park. As with any community complex repairs are needed but since new management arrived, the appearance has greatly improved and apartments are being upgraded. The dog park is scheduled to be upgraded this year as well. Management and staff are professional and very pleasant to work with. Give the Villas a try. Its worth it.
IF I COULD GIVE THEM NO STARS, I WOULD. DO NOT LIVE HERE. I cannot express this enough. If you want to be charged damages that werent caused by you, but were caused by their old, decrepit apartments falling apart then after you move out you do not hear about these damages until youre getting called by a collecting agency 2 weeks later (which they are supposed to attempt to send you the charges with a breakdown of the damages- The Villas did not do this) They also have to give you 30 days to respond, yet I was talking to a collection agency not even 14 days after I left, therefore they didnt even try to get ahold of me (probably because they knew the damages were something they should have been paying for). I paid this right away of course as to keep it from hurting my credit. I thought it was done and taken care of. A year and a half later, I am trying to apply for an apartment and get a call from the leasing agent processing our application only to find out The Villas did NOT record my check, yet it was processed and the money was taken out, so they had NO account of me paying the ridiculous fee. They have a continuous cycle of management because it is such an awful property & with their company based in CA, it seems like they cant make wise employee decisions nor do they care to hire quality property managers. The property manager as of 12/19/2014 is rude, unapologetic, stuck up and treated me like I was in the wrong and was annoying her or taking up her precious valuable time that she could be spending sitting and getting on Facebook in her office. She didnt introduce herself, yet I did, as I was trying to be nice about the situation which I shouldnt have even wasted MY time doing because this situation surely didnt call for any niceties. She couldnt find records or access the transactions, which for auditing purposes is ILLEGAL. All she could say as a reply to me was Im waiting for a call from my area manager which was her excuse all day long, so apparently it was not enough of a legal matter or emergency to handle before the end of the day before they were closed for the weekend. They should be held accountable by law for their incompetent management problems. I pity the folks that live there currently. The property manager needs fired, for starters, and the area or district manager should probably step in and get their accounts under control if this is a problem that has yet to be fixed for A YEAR AND A HALF! Unbelievable. Highly unprofessional. I am not one to write reviews, but after this experience I want to try and save innocent potential residents from getting their credit destroyed, a possible future residency ruined due to lack of paperwork, getting their hard-earned money stolen by poor management/ leasing agents that work at this location, and the stress of having to deal with something that can easily be avoided by choosing another apartment complex in the area!!! Plus, their appliances are from 1980, their windows will send a breeze through your apartment that gives you chills and your bills will be outrageous....JUST DONT LIVE HERE.
This place used to be good but its complete crap now! There are children running through the streets unattended nearly every hour of the day. You need to look everywhere because they never look where theyre going and nearly run into your vehicle. They constantly play right out front of our townhome. We have no kids on either side of us or in our unit, yet their toys and bikes are in our front yard every afternoon until they go inside at night. They play on our front porch, throw balls at our (and neighbors) cars, and block parking spots so you cant park in your assigned spots. I had a guest park in one of our parking spots one day and the kids had their bikes laying there. One kid says to my friend trying to park, Im not moving my bike, youre not the normal person that parks here. They refused to move their bikes so my friend was forced to push the bikes out of the way. They look in all the vehicle windows around here. They leave their trash EVERYWHERE. And their parents are nowhere to be found! As far as management goes, theyre the only reason Im giving this place any stars. They have been pretty great and really responsive when we need anything done. Its nice that the streets get plowed in the winter time so I dont have to dig my car out. Theres a pool, but when its open its packed full of all the unattended kids. For how much money my husband and I pay ($1125/month plus water) this place is just not worth the money. I truly cannot wait until we move from this horrible place and dont have to worry about our vehicles being vandalized, or almost running over a child in the road every day!
After having many issues and posting a negative review I am updating it due to dealing with Justin. I only wish he had been here since the beginning of our time here. We had nothing but problems in the beginning, however over the last month Justin has gone above and beyond and addressed everything in a timely and professional manner and I would like to thank him! If you need anything reach out to Justin, he will definitely get things done for you.
PSA, dont have your packages delivered to the office even though they offer a place to hold them for you. Per Ashley, the mail carriers drop them off in a closet and then they let the tenants rummage through them and basically take whatever they want. I had two packages delivered to the office for Christmas and one was missing. I could go on and on about other things, but this is just ridiculous. Dont offer this service for your tenants if your just going to let people take other peoples things. It defeats the purpose.
I would NEVER rent from the villas at little turtle ever again. My place caught fire and completly burned down. No smoke detectors went off and they did not take responsibility for their apartment having a defective fireplace causing my apartment and many others to burn down. Managment handled it very poorly and even took our deposit. I would live under a bridge before i would go back there. Please do your research on all the fires this community has been involved in. TERRIBLE place to live.
Loved the space... management is unstabled they get you in with the specials. After only a year I was forced to move due to a $151 increase from 775 to 926, I wasnt offered any upgraded appliances; my blinds are old and rigged to look new, theres a small outdated refrigerator. The only good thing was the space, the fact it came with a garage, and the small storage off the back patio. Move hete if you dont mind outrageous increases, multiple changes within the management (3 diff people with 10 months and rude as well), maintenance issues (went without air conditioning for a month in the summer).. the water bill is split within the community so you never pay a fair amount of what you actually use... I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone...
Horrible apartment complex, they dont care about their tenants and just want money. Our apartment caught fire, out for 3 weeks in a hotel and barely gave any of our rent back that we paid for. When we got in the apartment the sliding glass door to the apartment would not lock, huge safety issue and they didnt fix it. Fire alarms did not go off during the fire for any apartments affected either. DO NOT RENT here for the safety of your family.
Awful! Dealing with the office is a total pain. They tell you something, then do the complete opposite. They say they will call you back in 15 mins and YOU have to actually walk into the office to get answers because they never call you back. THEN, they tell you the wrong amount to pay, even though they wrote it down on a note to give to you for reference. Maintenance is a screw up, takes weeks and weeks of begging/ follow up phone calls to get the issue fixed. Be prepared to get rental insurance due to significant fires they have every winter. I don’t trust them in the office or the business they are running and thinking about how I have to live here for another 11 months is sickening.
The worst place I’ve ever lived in my life. I have been living here little over a year every time I go to the office there is a new management and they don’t do what they promise to do they don’t even remember what you asked them to do and they lie to your face. Pretty much this office is only open to collect money. I will not advise anybody to move here please don’t waste your money this apartments the service here is horrible
Very unprofessional. We havent lived here for a year and we are ready to move. Since moved in on Nov. 1st 2013, 1st are ceiling by the front door started to leak, 2nd it fell in, 3rd are knob in the bathroom broke, 4th knobs on closets started to come off, 6th tiles around fire place fell off and finally the master bath the paint started to chip and they will not fix it. When we complained they sent people to look at it and that was it. My Husband complained several times and the last time management told him to use the other bathroom Im tired of listening to you complain about the same thing and he said if you dont like it fix it. She ended with get out of my office I dont have time for you. we called corporate and they said that there wasnt even a work order in for us and they didnt even do anything. We will be moving but before that we are going to court. Dont be fooled my the amenities and space
I wouldn’t move to these apartments. Once they have your money the front office doesn’t call you back if you have issues. And when you try to call the corporate office they don’t answer either. This company has the worst communication I’ve ever seen. I’ve sent several emails and phone calls with no response. This is the worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in.
Not worth over 900$ for a one br but at around 800 its a great value. They have a club house but its only open during the day. While staying at vlt there were two fires which we never got an explanation on why they happened. The whater bill is expensive because they bill as a unit and then divide by person through a theird party. Plus pest contol even though all fall and winter we had squirrels running around in out attic. Oh and everyone gets a garage but there are not enough parking spots for each apartment to have more than one car. They really need to fix the parking issues make the clubhouse open at more resonable times for people who work at day.
The price is great and the space is very nice! My place is perfect! And if there is a problem maintenance is right there to fix it! Monica and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful. I’m used to having a garage but with all the other amenities I don’t miss it as much as I thought I would. I’m proud to come home to St. Andrews every night!
I had the same experience as Evan. The customer service is extremely poor and theyre always looking to come up with some excuse as to why they missed something or there is nothing we can do. It always seems like when you do something wrong, you get charged regardless, but as soon as its on the apartment complex, there is radio silence. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family. There are plenty of other places in the area that would be a better fit for you!
Treid to contact them for more than a week now, phone calls, emails, facebook, chat…. Just to schedule a tour despite all the negative reviews i read about the management, nobody seems to care and nobody got back to me, I am glad that they didn’t now. Gonna look somewhere else
I give the Villas at Little Turtle a 10. Our present manager Gabby is awesome, and every tenant I have talked with is nervous with her departure. I realize Gabby will leave us with competent management. I have met the young lady, Ashley, replacing Gabby ,and am impressed with her as well. Gabby will be missed Greatly!!!!
Little turtles one of the best golf courses in Columbus .I played this course at least once a week and thay have a great practice facility accommodations are perfect. They have three top notch pros there to help your game at anytime.I recommend that you call for a teatime soon as possible.
First of all the did not fix the things that they said would be fixed before move in. 3 of our maintenance requests were marked as complete when they are not actually done and the date it says they came was a day that I was home all day long... nobody was here. Management is very rude and not willing to discuss how to help.
The landscaping needs work. The pool is disgusting. They say its a resort style pool....heck the Heath department needs to send someone here cause this is not healthy. They need to get new owmership or something...this stuff should get attention immediately cause its false advertising.
Wow! although I do NOT live here, I was seriously considering it and even told my co workers about the employers discount, I must say its a beautiful place to live but I cant deal with kids all over the parking lot and lates responses, almost every review talks about the management, the place I live in now has kids ever where and I am so disappointed in these reviews yet glad to get the heads up, I will keep it moving, thanks !
Wow, I am considering a move from Calif. to be closer to my son and family. However, of ALL the places I have investigated, this one has the most negative reviews and least positive reviews. So sad, because they do look nice, as far as layout. I had to laugh at what appears to be autoresponses from management asking unhappy residents and would-be residents to contact them about the unusual situations. All of the reviews state that they cant get a hold of management!! And I would assume that residents would try to iron out issues before a bad review. The final straw was the retaliation for complaints and not approving validated service pets. I am 67, have owned 5 homes in my lifetime and certainly dont need the aggravation. I bet the owner response will be a standard autoresponse. Haha. I feel so bad for all the current residents.

2022-03-16Property is lovely in the neighbors are wonderful however the property management company now thats a totally different story its changed three times in the one year that I have lived here nothing ever gets fixed Ive been waiting for my front door seal to be changed since December and here it is middle of March and I still dont have a new front door seal in February they decided to change the policy about parked cars to have to include a parking sticker however they didnt bother to inform anybody except for through a new property portal that nobody was a part of because they had just taken over and switched the portal system from The Old company. The same week. And now they are telling me that they are not going to renew my lease apparently because I told them what their problems were I have never had a noise complaint every one of my neighbors loves me and Ive never not paid my rent yet still theyre kicking me out I would love to speak with the person that actually owns this property and so would quite a few other tenants however they refuse to give us that company or persons contact information because then we might tell that person how theyre actually treating their property and their tenants but its not my money that theyre stealing so good luck to that guy.

2022-06-21This has been the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. When we moved in it wasn’t even ready. None of the toilets worked. There was paint everywhere. The windows wouldn’t close. They said they would fix everything and nothing would get fixed in a timely manner. If ever. When maintenance did come they would not let you know or announce themselves before entering. Maintenance also left their trash in our basement, which consisted of an empty Taco Bell cup and an empty cigarette carton. We didn’t have hot water for 3+ weeks. You could never get a hold of anyone to follow up. We had rain literally coming in our window and they never did fix that. They also charge you for any little thing. Like not taking down decorations you have. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid at all costs!

2022-04-13If I could give a negative stars I would. If you have children, pets, or a disability this is not the place for you to live. If you want maintenance issues address and not just work orders closed out with nothing being addressed then this is the place for you! This management company has been here since August 2021 and we have over 20 work orders closed with nothing actually addressed. Maintenance is a joke. Dont get me started on If you have an emotional Support Animal for your disability. They will refuse to acknowledge the animal as a working pet and will file court papers to have you removed due to an unauthorized pet not even acknowledging they were provided eith proper documentation 3 months prior. They are not family friendly and have taken away all extra amenities that were once included with your lease. As a family who has resided here for almost 6 years its disappointing to see how families and disabled people are treated.

2022-07-13I now understand why there are so many 1-star reviews. I scheduled a tour online and it was confirmed last week. Then today, 3 hours before I’m supposed to be there for my tour, I get an email saying there’s no units and they have to cancel. I understand places filling up but I do not understand the lack of communication before the DAY OF. I took time off work for no reason and I’m frustrated. I had been warned about this place but thought I would try it for myself… yeah it’s a no from me.

2021-11-01I lived at St. Andrews for 2 1/2 years. During that time the property was managed by 3 separate companies: Village Green, Oakwood Management, and Friedman Communities. It was decent place to live as long as I didnt need anything fixed or taken care of. Maintenance requests would be open for months or just closed out and ignored without doing anything. In my unit there was a sliding glass door that had the seal broken and was foggy, all 3 companies managed to delay fixing it long enough to pass it off to the next company, all while assuring me that they would fix it. All 3 of these companies would never answer the phone or return messages. There is not a good place for kids to play in the community, so they all play in the street and would throw things at cars passing by.My biggest issue came when I moved out and was dealing with Friedman Communities. I had a pet deposit with Village Green that was supposed to be returned to me upon move out. It did not, and when I went in to ask why, they told me it was a mistake and had to run it by the corporate office to get it approved. I spent months trying to call Carrie to get an update on when the deposit would be returned, and eventually found out she had never done anything and had run out the clock until yet another management company took over. They have caller ID in the office and wont answer the phone for certain people. I was finally able to get ahold of the corporate office myself and get the deposit returned after 6 months. The law regarding rental deposits is 30 days in Ohio.Every time I had to deal with the property managers, no matter which company it was at the time, they had no interest in helping the residents. Each of these companies seemed to have only been interested in collecting rent for a year and doing as little upkeep as possible until they could pass the property off to another company that would do the same thing. I will never rent from any of these management companies again, and would not recommend renting at this property to anyone.

2022-05-13Think of one of the most awful situations you could encounter as a leasing tenant? Now multiply it by 10 = the Villas at Little Turtle and St. Andrews. After every property management change, residents cling to the mi-nute chance that at the very least, it can’t get any worse! ANNNHHH, wrong answer😣 It definitely can and has become an entire nightmare! I can tell you what I like best in dealing with the current property management…NOTHING, NOT ONE THING. This includes how amazing it is to pay your rent each month and have requested repairs take close to NEVER. Last minute less than 24 hr notification of chimney sweeps, or scheduled dryer vent cleanings -making arrangements or having expectations of that notification- andddd it results in a no show. Therefore; if you had to move your furniture and decorative items or secure your pet, you just ended up out of luck and even more, so annoyed for your wasted time and effort. I think the best thing about this place are my dreams that one day the owners, the property managers will step up and treat residents at a minimum like they are HUMAN BEINGS and with the appropriate RESPECT!! Show at least a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of empathy and decent customer service. Heck I’d even settle for them to not just demolish our garages, but to please build new ones, since they technically came with the apartment when I rented it!! Basically, if you even sort of know what’s good for you, YOU SHOULD RUN 🏃♀️ You won’t pass go, you will not collect $200, because ultimately, you will REGRET IT FOR A VERY LONGGGGG TIME!!! If you know what the current tenants already know… You should happily and freely PASS THIS ONE RIGHT ON BY! I could go on for 10K miles, but there’s ONLY 1 INTERNET. Signed, Lost At Sea and the Shawshank Redemption (gotta look that one up😆) courtesy of the current property management. Ohhh and one last thing. It must be killing them not to give the same type of response they do in emails. The ones they are putting on Google ain’t even close to the norm [RUN AWAY LIKE A TRACK STAR 💫]. Thank me later 😉Update 04/25/22I would be so very interested to know how does a current tenant stop by the rental office when the majority of time IT’S CLOSED or we get a last minute notice that the office is closed until Further notice. Also, there is hardly no way to speak directly to anyone because they never answer the phone. NEVER!!Update 05/13/22Well, as per the property managements insincere response below, they did work really hard to solve mine and many residents complaints and concerns. At the end of April, they sent out Ive heard around 50 or so NON-RENEWAL LEASE NOTICES! Retaliation much?????? No explanation given whatsoever; just stating that they have decided not to renew your lease. Doesnt matter if you have a child, an elderly family member, no where else to go (which honestly is why most residents even attempt to tolerate such unimaginable treatment by these particular landlords. I mean its one thing to do your job, but its another to do it in such a nasty, disrespectful, and mean way!!) facing a lack of affordable housing in the area, etc etc. Just stuck these notices on their current tenants doors as if to say, you dont like us, so we dont like you. No need to even try to give any attention to their response below, because they do not mean it whatsoever. It is a standard, tone deaf, and insensitive reply. If I had $5 for all the residents that have shared their dismay with this management (and there have been many below standard ones in the recent past) I most likely could pay 3 months rent lol!!

2022-04-29We have been without air conditioning for a while now. I submitted a maintenance request to have it fixed in April since it was a warm spring. That was two months ago now. Its regularly 85+ degrees inside. There doesnt seem to be any sense of urgency in getting the a/c working again. The maintenance people couldnt fix it, and in fact made it worse according to a contracted HVAC technician. That same contractor was out to look at it, but that was two weeks ago and weve heard nothing from the office since. They even had the nerve to ask us to leave a good review on Google. This is beyond ridiculous. Dont move here.1 year later: were still here, unfortunately. There was a change in management. It wasnt a change for the better. Weve had service orders in for several months since we have a handful of issues with our apartment. The door knob on our front door doesnt work. Its been like that for about four months now. When I emailed the manager, she said that she appreciates my patience and that maintenance is working on emergency orders first and other orders in the order with which they were received. That was a couple months ago. Theyve significantly increased rent in addition to not responding to service requests. And the property itself is generally pretty messy. Theres usually trash around. The dog park is unusable since no one picks up after their dog and the garbage can is overflowing with dog poop. I cannot stress this enough: dont move here.

2022-04-29Update: Now that all residents have been threatened and harassed by Kelly and Jennifer In the office about parking, clearing items from garages the excuses pour in. The garages arent scheduled to be removed until late may! Office door is locked from any residents. Yet letters are sent out multiple times a week say vehicles will be towed at owners expense. They removed 1/2 of parking spaces for over a month and want to tow any residents at a moments notice. Every time I come and go from here Management basically has the their middle finger up at us, locked in the office where it is convenient to park every day for them to come to work.Lost track of how many management companies have ran this property but the current one is by far the worst. Fingers crossed a new one is in the works since the office is closed until further notice although everyone is inside the clubhouse When you call the phone number it goes to a different location and they transfer the call. Garages were an amenity on the lease when I moved here, they removed it after they took over not sure what theyre going to do to compensate all the residents for it at this point.

2021-11-09Pros: Very spacious townhome style floorplan for a decent price.Cons: We get a different management company every couple of months as well as different leasing office staff. You will have to continuously communicate and explain things to new workers. Maintenance is short staffed and they take a very long time to complete a service request. There are a lot of kids in this complex. They play outside all day long, even on weekdays. They are very loud. They leave trash in the parking lot. They actually broke an apartment window before. Their parents dont seem to supervise them at all. I have seem toddlers outside by themselves.

2021-11-10I am a single middle aged female. I love it here. Safe. Quiet. Good neighbors. My maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely fashion. Under previous management, Flex payment was an option. I absolutely loved that. The new management co doesn’t use flex. That’s my only unsatisfactory item. My apt is facing the golf course. I see deer and rabbits and squirrels. It is sooooo very peaceful. My unit was upgraded recently. It’s not brand new but I absolutely love it!
