We really enjoyed our stay, we came down for my brothers wedding. The staff took great care of us. And if they weren’t with guest we always saw them cleaning and working hard to keep the hotel in great condition. I would definitely recommend other people to stay here, especially if you’re in the Cleveland area for an event. It definitely looks like they specifically cater to weddings and events.
The staff at SpringHill Suites Cleveland was outstanding from Check in to check out. They were all very professional, efficient and very Customer focused, The breakfast was amazing and the staff made sure there was appropriate food and drink availability. It was clean and the server was truly Customer focused with a great positive attitude. We had a wonderful, safe, healthy and peaceful Wedding Celebration as a result of the SpringHill staff contributions. The location is idea for great local parks for family entertainment, water parks and close to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Great restaurants within walking distance or a very short car ride. Staff and location makes it a perfect dream vacation for families.
Traveled with family to visit relatives and stayed here. The place was clean and the staff nice and helpful. The location was minutes away from places to eat and shop plus downtown Cleveland was only a 20 minute drive. The breakfast was sparse in my opinion but enough to satisfy for the day. Most people there followed COVID protocol. The room was a little smaller than expected but we adjusted and moved on. Overall a very good experience!
Was a bit irritated that the jacuzzi was not working and it was not mentioned on the website. My whole purpose of booking was to enjoy a night of relaxation which included relaxing in the jacuzzi. Also I was inconvenienced once again because the heat in my room did not work. So I had to move into another room. I probably will not return too many issues.
Room was excellent. Front desk staff was not so friendly at check in. Rooms were not ready in time. Some family members were still waiting at 3:30 for their room and wedding was at 4:30. Most of the room rates were incorrect and the grooms mother went the next morning, the front desk staff was very helpful with fixing them.
We have stayed at this hotel in the past and not had issues. It seemed like it has not been kept up as well as it could have over the years. The rooms my mom and I stayed in had a lingering cigarette smoke smell even though they were marked as non-smoking. The rooms were clean otherwise. The staff were always friendly and helpful when we needed them.
Accommodating although locking the refrigerator was very disturbing because we know it was specifically for us. I guess you gotta protect the yogurts. So yes, petty management may lead to an unpleasant experience even when the whole staff is dope. Crazy part, we were on a trip and two of the nights we paid for we didnt even stay at the hotel. You would think they would let us get a few more juicy juice like the ones in school lunchroom. I mean, its a Marriott no?
I think it would be helpful if you are not going to have the amenities listed on your website available, then there should be a disclaimer told to you when booking your room. The staff should be aware of how to work anything that is in the room. Television, refrigerator, etc... the hot breakfast seemed seemed deceiving since it was oatmeal and frozen sandwiches you could microwave. not very appetizing. The staff was very kind and helpful. One person printed off the restaurant list for me. The place was clean and I did sleep very well
This hotel was not clean at all. Our first room had bodily fluids all over the curtains and the bathroom was disgusting. The staff was nice enough to change our room, but it really left a sour taste in our mouths. This hotel isnt up to par with surrounding areas. We really wish wed chosen another.
The stay was great. The bed was (mostly) comfortable, the rooms were clean, shower had great water pressure, the breakfast was great, the front desk was helpful, and the wifi was fast! However, I had a couple of minor issues. Firstly, when I took a shower it was in a dimly lit bathroom. The light by the vanity was 10x brighter than inside the bathroom.Lastly, on one side of my king size bed there was a zipper that was sticking out and scraped my leg as I was getting comfortable.
The rooms felt clean and safe. The breakfast was not very good quality. I dont eat meat so options were limited a bit. However, the packaged items they offered were not good quality. The fruit didnt look ripe or good. I had some oatmeal which was the best (most healthy) thing offered.
We stayed here after a wedding, everyone who works here was just wonderful and the beds are so comfortable. But, a special shout out to Bob who shuttled us back to our venue. He went so far above and beyond after we misplaced our keys 🤦♀️. Huge thank you for saving our day. I just want to let whoever runs this hotel know that Bob is the type of person that is so hard to find, make for sure you do what you need to do to keep him as a part of your team!! Thank you Bob!!
The hotel was poorly prepared. They should have been on top of it knowing two weddings were booked. The room was not ready at the time of check in. So we got moved to a new room. The sofa was dirty and had trash on the pull out bed and underneath. The tub was not draining correctly. I asked for an extra sheet and pillow. Front desk personnel told me they had to find one from somewhere. Never got the pillow. Front desk staff was not the friendliest. Customer service is everything and they did not do their best job.
Positive: We liked the high pressure shower a lot, and the carpeted hallways were great for getting our steps in. Easy parking, and OK restaurants within a few miles.. also a Starbucks! Negative: Water did not taste very good, but there was always bottled water available for free.
Grab and go breakfast options are good, but warm breakfast items need to make their return. Overall great service from staff Housekeeping keeps the place immaculate. Air conditioners can be hit or miss, some are a good bit louder and don’t work as well as others (I stay here frequently, had many different rooms)
The Marriot/Spring Hill Suites need to invest more into their app, website, and customer service. Do not plan your stay on the amenities offered because they are considerably lacking. The staff and front desk was amazing! Professional, courteous, and respectful at all times. Best part of the stay!
We stayed at the Springhill Suites in Solon Ohio because we wanted a central location between Canton and Cleveland. This hotel was super clean, welcoming, and perfectly located around a lot of nice restaurants. We used the pool by reservation which was a nice touch. The breakfast was great with plenty of prepackaged choices. The staff was really friendly. It was a very pleasant stay!
The rooms are nice sized with a small fridge and microwave in the separate sink area. Nice beds and pull out couch. Very nice furnishings. It is located in a nice area right off the freeway and near restaurants. They are very clean and the pool is open by appointment so it is just your family and maybe one other. I recommend.
Checked out early because honestly I rather go someplace else and start over. I don’t know what other people consider clean, but hair and dirt all in the carpet (yes I bought a vacuum), the worst stench with hair, bugs, and grossness in the refrigerator (mind you it’s a mini one), pink and black mold in the tub, long strands of hair in the towels, under the microwave was nasty with sticky content (they need to fix that) oh and let’s not forget the amount of grime and dirt that came from the gasket of the refrigerator (that’s the part that keeps it close). I mean that’s not clean to me. I guess some people are ok with anything. I spoke with the GM and another woman at the front desk who offered to have staff clean it, but for what when I would’ve had to go over it again OBVIOUSLY!! The GM, she thanked me for cleaning that nastiness, it’s laughable, when she should be making sure her staff understands cleaning and sanitation. OBVIOUSLY, none of them do. I took three videos of this disgustingness. I mean what are they doing here?? Yes, things may be open, but COVID is STILL spreading and they have the audacity to NOT clean. That room is so clean NOW that they won’t even have to touch it. The refrigerator looks brand new now and smell great!! With the way it looked I’m sure they won’t anyway. I’m over this hotel, but glad I just checked out early..I didn’t even sleep there last night and it was a waste of money all around. If you have any type of standards, this isn’t the place for you. Good riddance!! DO BETTER!!!!!
A great hotel. My wife and I stayed here while visiting Cleveland for the first time. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and very attentive to our needs. Most importantly, the hotel was very clean. They provide an exceptional breakfast-to-go in the morning with almost limitless options. We would definitely stay here again.
I wouldnt classify this location as a 3-star hotel, this place was 2-stars at best. The biggest disappointment was that there was not legit breakfast available as shown in the pictures, there were only a couple old oranges, frozen biscuits, and coffee. The bath towels were dollar store quality. Pool looks way bigger in the pictures. I received a 50% discount from a 3rd party, otherwise, I would felt like I wasted my money.
Literally the best hotel within 20 miles, not only are the rooms updated, super clean, and accommodating, but the staff is helpful friendly and always willing to help. If thats not enough, their prices are unbeatable and their one of the few that still serve a free breakfast!Ive unfortunately been forced to stay in and out of hotels for the last month while having some work done at our home. Needless to say Ive had some good and bad experiences while searching for a good fit that would suit our needs. This hotel is that perfect fit and I will ONLY stay at Springhill Suites from now on! I recommend this hotel 100% to anyone in the Cleveland/Solon area in need of a hotel! Dont waste your money anywhere else!Thank you to the staff for all your friendly service
Our room was a typical suite room. 2 beds and a sofa bed. The room was clean. Hard water stains in the shower/tub. Microwave was on the weak side to heat things up.Used the chat feature on the app to tell the front desk about the noise in the hallway at midnight. They didnt respond until 1am. Whoever was across the hall from us had 2 rooms and the kids kept going back and forth between rooms and talking/running loudly. Also, I could clearly hear the neighbor use the bathroom and when he flushed the refilling process could be heard in our room.I really liked their pool covid policy which only allowed 1 room in at a time. However, when I checked in they were all booked up for the day. Its disappointing they wouldnt let me reserve a slot for the next day. (It was on a day - by - day sign up.)For breakfast they had a employee putting your breakfast together which was great. However, the weak room microwave took forever to heat up the sausage egg muffins.
The room I stayed in was clean and comforting. I was able to relax and utilize the fitness center. My daughter had a great time in the pool. The staff was kind and personable. I did not hear kids or people running around in the hallways. I recommend this stay for others.
Room size was great. Nice to have a sitting area separate from the sleeping area. Also nice to have smart TV which allowed us to log into our Netflix account. Pool and hot tub area was nice - both were at good temperatures. Location is nice - near a good variety of restaurants, and a movie theater right around the corner. We stayed here for a Browns football game - was an easy 25 minute drive into the city, and a lot cheaper than the downtown hotels. Would definitely choose this again if we go to another game.Only complaint was the layout of the breakfast area. Food was good, but the layout got congested very quickly.
We were greeted by 2 friendly employees and were offered the choice of which floor we preferred. The first room looked like someone had been in it briefly and then changed their mind. Since we felt uncomfortable, we asked for a room change. They were very apologetic and happily switched it. This was an older hotel but it was clean and seemed like it had been updated with new furnishings. The famous Marriott bed and pillows were so comfortable that we overslept both mornings. Even the sofa bed was amazing. There was a nice pool, whirlpool, and workout room. Next to the parking lot there was a fountain with a walking path and picnic tables. They had a nice set up for free breakfast with plenty of tables. The easy checkout is always convenient.
It was very accessible to the venue we needed to attend, and the facility was extremely clean and inviting. After a rigorous day out, it was refreshing to return to a room that was quiet and secure. A complimentary breakfast is an extremely appealing perk, although other hotels had a wider variety of choices. Coffee makers in the room was very nice. The television/channel choices was top quality, as were the mattress on the beds. The available internet was fast, but a secure connection should not be an extra charge; the free connection kept dropping off. The Staff needs to be able to provide up-to-date local weather conditions, and the hotel shuttle should be available for a wider area of transport. Overall, this was a great facility; much better than most others we have stayed in, and will stay in again, for certain.
Sadly, I didn’t get what I reserved. The hotel staff at the front desk should have been more sincere and friendly especially when telling guests they couldn’t have the suite they reserved. The ice maker on our floor didn’t work and the shower curtain was dirty… disappointing for Marriott.
Recently my family and I spent 2 nights at this property, knowing the Marriott brand as a quality place to stay was quite disappointed. We have family in the Cleveland Heights area and stop to visit on the way several times a year taking and dropping off our son at college. Each time we try a different well know hotel chain to compare for future visit. The Springfield Suites in Solon will not be a place we stay at again. While the staff was polite and responsive, the property itself was not up to the expected Marriott standard.
We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and up kept. Friendly staff and the breakfast was just what we needed to help us on our long drive ahead. We are big fans of Marriott properties and once again we were not disappointed. Thank you for another night of great sleep in a Marriott property.
Overall we had an excellent stay. Our family had two rooms side by side, one with double beds and the other with a king bed. The rooms were spacious and each have a desk, couch and small kitchenet with sink, microwave, coffee maker and mini refrigerator also. Rooms were clean. Bathrooms a little dated but not a problem. The only issue we had was with the bathtub, the bottom is concaved so became very slippery. I wish they would have provided a non slip bath mat. The swimming pool water was cloudy, had a very strong chlorine smell, but the pool is small and there were LOTS of people in it. The hot breakfast items were good most mornings, some mornings they were not. The items that were good, they ran out of very fast. All cold items, such as cereal, fruit, muffins, bagels etc. were always fresh and good. In the evenings they have complimentary wine, beer and snacks. We only used this one night but I feel this is an excellent amenity. Overall we are very happy with our stay.
The overall experience was great. I just didn’t like the trundle like sofa bed in both of my rooms. A regular pull out couch/sectional would’ve been better. It was really awkward and I kept hitting my foot on the wood. Everything else was great. The room was great. The pool was great. The breakfast was really good, especially the cream cheese poppyseed bars. Yummy! I will definitely be back.
This hotel surprised us. It is clean, staff is knowledgeable and respectful. Pool and hot tub was great! I gave it a 4 because the room was very small. We had 2bd, 1 sofa bed. The tv is in an awkward position, unable to watch it from the bed closest to the window. Breakfast was good, lots of options. Otherwise, its a very good hotel.
The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay. We enjoyed the convenient room with its separate bedroom area and sitting area. The clean and attractive bathroom and mini-kitchen facilities were great for our needs. The internet worked well and was easy to access. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again if we are in the area.
It was ok. Stayed last week of June 2020. Pool was closed due to Covid. The free Breakfasts were grab and go and pretty lousy (cold cereal & milk, coffee, under-ripe fruit, prepackaged muffins and mini lite yogurt. The OJ was nasty). The weeknight receptions were cancelled. These were pretty big disappointments for us. We chose to stay here at a slightly higher rate than a couple other places closer to where we needed, because of these amenities, and were disappointed e were really available. Price wasnt lowered for less amenities, either. The couple employees we did see were nice.We had 2 connected rooms. They were clean and in decent shape. The photos I took were on our way out - pardon our mess. One room was an Accessible Room - the bathroom was a good size & layout, room was decent. The tv remotes do NOT work well. Some of the macro nature photography artwork in the room was a little unnerving - extremely magnified leaf veins right across from the bed... not great to wake up to. eh.My past experiences with SpringHill Suites have been good, so I attribute the deficits to the quarantine situation. Id hope this place is better when things become more normal.
My husband and I stayed at the Cleveland Solon for one evening with our boys for a trip to visit my brother. He will be getting married in the fall and we were meeting his in-laws. We had a pleasant stay. The rooms were large and clean. The beds were comfy. We didnt have a chance to use the shower due to only be there to sleep, however we did use the bath to bathe our sons. We liked that the sink was outside of the bathroom so that I could get ready while the boys were bathing. We also liked that there was a separate area for the boys to watch TV.The breakfast was nice too. Many healthy food choices, like granola for yogurt and fruit. We didnt have time to use the fitness room or pool; however we already plan to be using the hotel for the wedding and we definitely take the advantage to use them then, when we have more time.Lastly, the price was very nice. The hotel was extremely nice for the price we paid. Hotels near our home town are three times as much in price and half as nice.
This property is beautiful. its clean and the décor is very nice. I loved the fact that the rooms are suites with fridge, microwave and coffee pot. The rooms also have a large sofa and work area. The complimentary wine/beer and snacks were a pleasant unexpected surprise. If you want to go to the casinos (Hard Rock or Thisltedown, they are very close by. Also, shopping and food is right down the street.
This place is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful. With a short walk, you have access to several eateries. The breakfast is it pretty standard breakfast. The fresh fruit is a nice touch. I have been here several times and would not hesitate to go again.
We had a bad experience at the beginning of our trip with another hotel. Multiple problems and inconveniences. Plus the hotel was very outdated and stuffy! We had to extend our stay an extra night so we found SpringHill. It had ample room for our family of 5 (which is hard to find!) and at the right price. we had No problems at all. It was very stylish and modern. It wasn’t stuffy and the staff was exceptional! The pool was clean and not cold, towels were restocked multiple times. Breakfast was great. We will be looking for a SpringHill from now on whenever we need to travel!
This hotel is in a good location, with easy access to everywhere I needed to go. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Id like to give a special thank you to the two ladies at the front desk when I checked out on yesterday, Sunday, May 6. I appreciate your kindness! When I return to the Cleveland area later this year, I am looking forward to staying at this location.
This is the first time I’ve ever stayed at this hotel I’ve never even heard of it however I will never go back. I am tired maybe to say that were polite other than that everyone else was rude and lacked hospitality. My room had a mildewy smell to it and the microwave reeks of burnt popcorn whenever I called down to the front desk there was no compassion or concern and it was not rectified it reminds me of a motel with a Band-Aid on it
Tamika at the front desk was wonderful; a great smile, can-do attitude, and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The breakfast offerings were extremely varied, and high quality. Staff was constantly around maintaining the food and cleanliness. The rooms are large and classy, and very clean. The only problem we had was with sound transmission near the stairs, as the door latch closing was loud, as was the sound of kids feet running down the hall until midnight. So, next time I will ask for a room away from the stairway. This is our favorite hotel, though.
We didnt pay much for our stay but the room was large. Everything was clean and up to date. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room description says that the suite has a sofa bed. It actually has a trundle bed. And the sofa can be used as a bed as well. It gave us 4 total beds in the room which worked out really well for our family.
Great spacious room with all of the necessities. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. The continental breakfast had many tasty options and was well taken care of even though many people were there when we ate. The staff was probably the best I have had during the check in and check out procedures. Would recommend this property to anyone for value, comfort and friendliness.
Dont come for the pool! Too many rules for pool use, cant reserve a time except the day of, can only reserve one time slot per day per room...First time at this location, booked for a weekend as a staycation for the kids & highly disappointed. TV Remotes hardly work, pillows are horrible, reception too rigid, and of course you can hardly use the pool. Ive stayed at many Marriott hotels, before and during Covid, but this one, I will not visit again, no value in your money unless you want to stay cramped in your room the entire stay. This was a Fail, take your money elsewhere thats more accommodating.
The hotel was located at a very convenient location and have a lot of parking spaces which were well lighted at night. The building was modern and the landscape was well maintained. The Interior of the building and suites were nice looking, clean, and comfortable. The staffs were friendly and courteous. The free hot breakfast was excellent. Our stay was very satisfactory. We have stayed several times at a nearby hotel similar to this one in Solon, OH, but our first stay at this hotel was much better in every aspects.
Overall, my stay at the property was pleasant. This SpringHill suites needs to be upgraded. The property is well maintained and clean, the property is dated. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is polite and helpful. One thing that is a big plus is the daily (M-F) social event. The hotel host a social for the guest that includes beer, wine and various finger foods. The property has a exercise room with two treadmills, free weights, weight balls and a weight bench. In addition to exercise room, there is an indoor swimming pool. The are several businesses in the area and the staff told me that most of their guests are business travelers. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. Overall, my stay at the property was good.
This hotel is within easy distance to the freeway and many eastside neighborhoods. The staff are very helpful and the pool is well maintained. The lobby area needs some improvement regarding size as people tend to congregate and there is not enough space for casual conversations. The breakfast selections could be better and again, more space is needed for seating.
The room was clean & comfortable. Great location for the event I was attending in the area. The breakfast eating area was a bit small for the number of guests staying there. It was hard finding a table & if your party was 4 or more you would most likely eat separately. Other than that it was a great stay.
Everything was really great about our stay and we were there on a very busy weekend. It feels a bit silly, but I enjoy having coffee service available in the lobby at times other than breakfast and I have grown to expect this perk at the variety of hotels we stay at in this price range. (Yes, they have the little machine in the room, but not the same. )
This was a great place for an excellent price! Rooms were clean and very beautiful. Our room was larger then expected. Our crib was waiting for us in our room. Breakfast in the morning has a lot of variety, waffles, eggs, turkey sausage, oatmeal and toppings, cereals, breakfast pastries, yogurts and fruits. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and allowed us to extend our check out. We will definitely stay here again.
How does this place have such high reviews?! We were so disappointed by this Spring Hill after having stayed at a few on our way across the US.First of all, it looks nothing like the pictures. This hotel is super outdated and they just slapped a West elm couch in a 20 year old dingy room. The staff are hit or miss. The lady we had when we checked in was nice but the morning staff were just plain rude. They just huddled around the front desk and chit chatted. When they walked around they just muttered criticisms about the guests under their breath.Breakfast options were terrible too. The breads were stale, fruit has seen better days and the coffee tasted burnt. The bed was clean, but the bathroom had someone else’s hair in it. Not just one hair, a few so I wonder if the bathroom was even cleaned. If you’re expecting Spring Hill quality do not stay here.
The room was perfect for us, we have 4 children and its not always easy to accommodate us. Breakfast was pretty good but not a ton of selection. The coffee was 3 hours old and a little burned up and the guy was pouring pitchers of coffee in occasionally instead of switching the whole thermos out each time, that was not good.
My husband and I were in town for a wedding in Chagrin Falls, so chose to stay at SpringHill Suites since it looked pretty close. It was very easy to find coming off the interstate, and very convenient to the wedding festivities. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by a pleasant front desk attendant upon our arrival. The common areas and rooms are pretty up to date, stylish, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great, and there were plenty of outlets available to charge our devices. The walls must be thin because we did hear the people next to us numerous times. They quieted down at a decent time though and did not impede our sleep. We were missing the do not disturb sign the first day so just made our own since we didnt have a chance to stop by the front desk to let them know. We did have a sign upon our return that night. My biggest complaint is about the WiFi. I got it to work on my tablet but could not get it to work on my phone due to the insecurity of the network. (I was prompted to enter my name and room number on my tablet, but never given that option on my phone; it simply wouldnt connect due to the insecure connection. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, above my expectations for a hotel breakfast. There was a nice variety of hot and cold items and it was well stocked. Based on nice suite and breakfast, it was an excellent value. We would stay again if back in the area.
We were in Solon for a concert at the Rocksino. This hotel is a 15 minute drive from the Rocksino and a 25 minute drive from almost anywhere in the Cleveland area. The location is perfect and the hotel is even better! I read the reviews on TripAdvisor, which were all great, so I had high expectations upon arriving at this hotel. It was refreshing to see a different decor style than what is at most hotels. Upon arriving the front desk staff was attentive and efficient. Even though the check-in process was quick they still took the time to greet you and make you feel valued. The rooms were the cleanest rooms I have seen in a hotel. I stay at about 15 to 20 different hotels each year and this hotel has one of the cleanest, if not the cleanest, rooms I ever stayed in. The room design was great. A sitting area with couch, desk, and wet bar was separate from the bedroom. The TV was between the sitting area and the bedroom which I liked so I could watch TV from either location. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the area. The next time I am in the area I will be staying here for sure.
The room we had was spacious. The bed was NOT comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly. The mini-fridge in the room was not level and things fell out when the door was opened, this was reported but not fixed. There was not a mini-freezer in the mini-fridge which was a problem. The hotel was not really close to locations that were applicable to our trip. The hotel was expensive, in my opinion. We moved to a better located hotel that was cheaper and the beds were much more comfortable.
Looks brand new the stairwell had that new stairwell smell. I liked the room layout it was different good. The AC pumped out the cold air like a polar freeze. We used the pool and the water was a nice temperature. The hot tub was great. Anything bad........ Not that I experienced. All around good time.
Everything was clean and staff was great! We came for the princess sleepover and they did a wonderful job making a wonderful event for all the princesses! Fun activities, lots for the kids to do, singing, dancing, and tasty breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend!
Had a great stay at this hotel did a small slumber party for daughters 7th birthday with her big brother and two best friends. Kids did an evening and and after breakfast had a morning swim. Room was in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly. Hope to return in the near future
Very well located in reference to stores/town. Room was very spacious, great floor plan, and very clean. Lots of lamps, light switches for completely customizable lighting which was a big plus for this breastfeeding mom. The entire hotel was quiet. It was easy to forget that we were surrounded by other rooms. Breakfast was as varied as it was delicious. My 3 year old, 16 month old, myself and my husband all find something to enjoy! We had to leave our originally reserved hotel at 10 pm due to a booking error (room was smoking but we requested non smoking) and checked into this one at midnight. To say it was a literal beacon in the night would be an understatement. We have already decided to stay again on our way back home because we were so pleased with the location. 10/10 will stay again if a room is available!
The staff was awesome, and very accommodating with us. The room even it was labeled as a king suite the bed appeared to be a queen sized bed, the bathroom was a little small. The furniture was amazing and very comfortable. Please dont book a room close to elevators DID NOT LIKED THE NOISES...everything else was okay
Hotel was beautiful. Room was spacious, clean, and had a great color and design. However, the pool was extremely cold and the Jacuzzi was extremely hot. Breakfast was great and there was a variety offered. Check in and check out was smooth and they attendants were pleasant and easy to work with. The process went smoothly.
Upon arrival the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful and very stylish, we couldnt believe how big it was! Our beds were comfortable and breakfast in the morning had so many options, which was nice with my toddler who is a picky eater. We would definitely return again.
The hotel was very clean, with a warm inviting environment. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was very clean. The room was comfortable with its own kitchenette and office area for working. Each guest gets a complimentary bottle of water, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. I also enjoyed the happy hour. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Been there for business trip, for 4 nights.Lot of parking lot, good reception service.Good small gym, and very small pool. Not bad breakfast every morning with eggs, cheese, sausages, fruits etc. Of course coffee and tea.The room was not clean. In the bath I found a shaving blade cover, and in the room I found an ant.Good restaurants around the hotel.
Excellent price and fairly modern hotel in Solon. I really enjoyed the large room and the free happy hour in the lobby (beer, wine snacks, appetizers). That is a nice touch after working all day. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The lobby is well lit and staffed even at 2am on a Thursday.
Room temp 62 on arrival. Towel stained. No tissues. Lamp didnt work. Breakfast was pretty bad. Eggs were cold. Toaster wasnt working. Bacon was soggy. Overall a pretty new building and rooms were nice, but staff doesnt seem to be on top of things yet. Not bad overall, but not up to the usual level I expect from Marriott.
SpringHill Suites in Solon was just what we needed for our one night stay in Ohio for our friends wedding. We called a few hours before our check in time of 3 pm to see if we could do an early check-in before the wedding ceremony, and the staff member informed us that our room was ready if we wanted to check in early. There were nearby ubers to take us to the wedding, and arrived to the hotel with no difficulty in a quick 10 minutes. The suite with 2 queen beds and a pull-out was spacious for three people. Breakfast the next morning was delicious--scrambled egg bar and waffle makers to make fresh waffles, among other yummy things. Staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints, thanks for the pleasant stay!
The staff made every effort to ensure my stay was a great one- the breakfast offerings each morning and happy hour each evening was a lovely addition to the specious accommodations. the free wifi was fast enough to watch Netflix on my tablet and quickly respond to emails for work. I had a great stay!
Thirteen of my family members including myself booked this hotel to stay at based on its reviews and the staff did not disappoint. We were in town to celebrate my cousins birthday. The staff was very courteous and personable, the Marriott Solon Suites was more modern than other Marriott Suites I have stayed at.The breakfast was very good and you get a nice variety not just cold cereal, bagels, fruit and coffee like other hotels. The favorite part of my stay was the bed. I wish I could have packed the bed up and brought it home with me. Overall I had a pleasurable stay at this site, next time I will get in the hot tub and utilize the work out equipment.
The hotel is very clean, in an area where we felt safe, and the staff cannot be beat! We meet once a year and stay here because the staff makes us feel special and caters to our needs -as they do for all guests. A 5 star hotel couldnt be any better than this staff of professional and hard workers. They truly have pride in the service they provide. And they should -they do a terific job. Our room was very comfortable, clean and had an updated look. We were very happy there. We love the nearby mexican restaurant too -Senorita Bonitas!
I was incredibly impressed with your hotel. I want to especially thank an employee that went out of her way many times to make our stay enjoyable. We were there for my friends wedding, and as the bridesmaids were constantly running around trying to find things, get things in order she was more than helpful with every step of the way! I hate to say I cant remember her first name but I know her last name was Pettigrew (Pettigru? I think hers was spelled different?) because it was the same as mine (Pettigrew) and we laughed about it when I checked in. She was friendly, helpful, and overall delightful. We were so happy to have her on our side :) I would recommend your hotel to anyone solely based on how she treated us. We were also so impressed with your hotel when we returned home from the reception and the employees encouraged us to keep hanging out in the lobby. I understand they would rather have us there then in the rooms disturbing other guests, but the way they handled the situation and made us feel incredibly welcome to use their lobby to continue our celebrating was so refreshing to see. Thank you again for such a great experience!!!!
This visit was definitely quieter, though I still think the rooms could use some soundproofing so guests arent disturbed by other guests slamming doors and running up and down the halls. It would be nice if a full time restaurant could be installed into the hotel because some people want to relax and not have to leave the hotel to eat lunch and dinner. The rooms could use a furniture switch around and the bathrooms need renovating. Some people would LOVE a deep soaking tub. The staff is great.
Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. Clean workout room and pool. The breakfast was little to be desired. Wet bland powdered eggs. The first morning there was no breakfast meat or waffles. The biscuits were hard and undercooked. The second morning was more of the same but they did bring out a waffle maker and something they called sausage. The room a/c would not kick on and even though it was February the room was very warm. After checking out we were billed an additional $50 for what the hotel called “incidentals” and said we would be refunded in a couple days. That remains to be seen.In the end if your just looking for a place to sleep your good but don’t look forward to the breakfast.
SpringHill Suites provides family-friendly accommodations including in-room kitchenette, pull-out sofa allowing for an extra bed, breakfast with enough choices for everyone, indoor pool, fitness room, laundry, and internet. The rooms are stylish and clean, the staff is courteous, helpful, and responsive. The only problem that we encountered was that we selected this hotel because of the non-smoking policy, but clearly guests were smoking in the building, and the smoke entered our room. Otherwise, a good value for families with many amenities--a bit like an indoor resort outside of Cleveland. You will need a car, however, as there is not easy access to the city or shopping/entertainment.
Not what I expected. Did not offer coffee after 10 am. No meat, omelettes, or boiled eggs for breakfast. No waffles. You have to request Marriott Member rewards like water, etc. Housekeeping has to be requested as well as towels. Best they had to offer was the fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub. Did provide USA today and Wall Street Journal at no charge. Location for getting around the area was great.
Stayed at this property while on the way to Indy. Very convenient off highway, close to restaurants, etc. extremely clean; staff helpful and friendly. Hotel was very busy, with many families with young children, yet room was quiet and public areas clean. Excellent stay. Suites are really roomy and I love trundle bed. What a great idea. No more lumpy, spring-in-the-back pull-out!!
I’m sorry to say that the staff did not enforce their written policy regarding New Year’s Eve. The guests on my floor were disrespectful of others. Although I didn’t call to report what I experienced at the time, I found it hard to believe that it went unnoticed by any of the staff. The noise of the guests, children unsupervised running and playing up and down the hall, and the odor of marijuana was intense. The room was very nice and well appointed. It is what I had expected of the brand name.
Very disappointed in our stay. Not a very clean hotel. Slow shower drain so you are showering in standing water. Smells dirty even in the hallways. Smoking patrons linger by the front door. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night due to someone putting the alarm, there was zero communication from the staff and it was chaotic. Top it off with unauthorized charges to my credit card. We won’t stay here again.
From the warm and cordial greeting when we walked through the front door, the salutations from the housekeeping staff in the hallways, to the pleasantries and service from the hospitality staff at breakfast; all of the interactions with staff increased the joy of staying at SpringHill Suites. Their demeanor and attitude was contagious and even guests were friendlier than we usually find at other hotel stays. The hotel is clean and well kept and the rooms were more than suitable, but it is the staff interactions that make this place special. All of them are to be commended as well as management that has fostered this level of service with positive attitude. We will definitely return to SpringHill Suites whenever we travel to the area. Well done!!
Very clean, nice room. Excellent staff. They also have complimentary breakfast and a nighttime happy hour - which was a great perk. The best part was the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. The hotel location was good - easy to access highways and get into cleveland.
Hotel seemed to be fairly new. There were several quick-service restaurants and two sit-down restaurants very close, otherwise the area didnt offer much. We were traveling as a family of five and the room had two queen beds and a convertible couch, which was just what we needed. The couch was a trundle bed instead of your standard fold-out. There was a complimentary happy hour with snacks and beverages, including beer and wine, plus a complementary hot breakfast. Beds were comfortable with nice bedding.
We stayed at this hotel twice in the last month. On our way out to the east coast and on our way back because it was a convenient place to stop and such a reasonable price. The suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch was ideal for our family with three young kids. They enjoyed the pool and I used the fitness center, which was a little small in size, but had plenty of work out equipment (not just machines). The complimentary breakfast is a must for our family as well and Solon provides a variety of foods to meet most needs and everything was well stocked. We didnt get to breakfast until an hour before it ended and usually things are picked over or other hotels run out of supplies, but Solon had everything we wanted. I eat a banana every morning and they had plenty of them both times we stayed! Other hotels we stayed at on this trip didnt have any fresh fruit, which is really disappointing.Overall, great place to stay, comfortable room sizes, great amenities, friendly staff, good price!
My husband is wheelchair disabled with Parkinson’s and dementia. The front desk clerk saw me struggling with wheelchair and suitcase and offered to help get him to the room. I have never experienced that kind of service before! In addition, all staff were friendly and pleasant. Room and amenities were great.
The staff is excellent, welcoming you to their hotel. The rooms are well equipped with a refrig and microwave. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms have a bathtub (rare these days) and shower. The towels are soft and fuffy too. The rooms are quiet and there is a free breakfast.
After choosing a room online, it makes me so happy when I first open the door and look around the room with a smile and a sense of satisfaction. My husband even commented, you did a good job in choosing this place! We felt very much at home and slept well each night. Even though there were many guests we never heard them from inside our room. I am also very particular about the cleanliness of any hotel I stay in...SpringHill made it to the top choice in that category. (The fresh and updated decor was a wonderful bonus!) This was a terrific place to stay for the price.
SpringHill Suites was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. The room was clean with lots of space. It had a real homey feel and the price per night was reasonable. The continental breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. We had such a good experience that in the future the Marriott will be the first hotel we will check the next time we travel.
The room was very clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast very tasty. My complaint is that when I reserved the room on Marriots own website, it said I was getting a room with two queens. When I arrived, the host told me such a room didnt even exist in the hotel. All they had were two doubles. With two adults and two fully grown teenagers, it was a tight squeeze; frustrated that Marriots own website was that out of touch. But at the end of the day, it worked out fine, and the room - for what it was - was quite comfortable.
This is By FAR the most enjoyable hotel experience I have EVER had. The entire staff was incredible from the front desk, the guy taking care of the pool, to the breakfast and reception attendants. They had the perfect mix of being helpful and friendly without being pushy. The food was good, the receptions were wonderful. It seemed to me that the entire staff was happy to be there, enjoyed their jobs, and wanted me to have a good experience. This hotel wasnt over the top....just a perfect blend really nice people and comfort. I could rest, work-out, relax and get my work done. And the evening reception was AWSOME....This was a great hotel I would recommend to anybody.
Hotel was pleasant, clean, comfortable, and had a great continental breakfast. Pool/hot tub was good too. Busy with more business clients than families, but it was quiet in the rooms even when we were shouting loud when the WI Badgers won with a buzzer beater at 10:30pm!!! March madness!!! Love it!
I expected a little more from a SpringHill suites Marriott.Light above bed was outFaucet was backwards or something as it was difficult to get hot water outI received a text from Marriott asking if I needed anything and I asked again (was a check in request also) for extra pillows and towels which no one ever responded. After an hour I went to the desk but was told there are no extra pillowsBreakfast was decent Friday morning but was really bad Saturday morning. All water in juices, no selection at all - just a basic plain breakfast.Web site says reception Monday- Thursday but was informed only Monday- Wednesday but they always have popcorn and cookies - nothing on Friday eve at all.Would not recommend this hotel or stay here again. Too many other options to pick from. Just very disappointed in this brand.
Extremely lovely staff! Spacious nice rooms. One of the best Marriotts Ive been to. Complimentary breakfast was good just like other Marriotts. I especially loved my stay cause of the staff. I had to stay a FEW more hours cause of a meeting before driving 7hours to my home city, and they very sweetly agreed for a late checkout! Even the night before I really needed some drink with milk(coffee or just milk) so I asked at the reception for bottled cold Starbucks. As they didnt have that, the staff went out of her way to get me a small milk carton..she apologized as whole/2%milk was over and gave me free skimmed milk! No hotel has done that before. Really nice people!
The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The computer and printer in lobby was a lifesaver. One of the staff on Saturday took a phone call from my daughter asking to put a note of encouragement in my room. Not only did she write the note but put treats in a bag for me. It was a very nice touch. My daughter did not pay a dime!
The Hotel was very clean and well maintained. We had snow overnight and the parking lot and sidewalks were plowed and shoveled. The lobby area was continuously mopped all morning. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast bar had many selections and was well stocked.
I can see that this was great when it opened but it seems to have been somewhat neglected in the room upkeep. The layout is great for a 2-3 night or even week stay for a business person. I was there with my 11 year old daughter for a long weekend. There were several issues related to cleanliness that made this a stay I wish not to repeat in the near future. The bed also was a disappointment. Usually Marriott facilities get this part right.
Although my room was not perfect - I had a leaky tub and draft window area, the front desk agent, Anastasia, made my trip there wonderful. She was caring and genuine and that is SO rare these days. I did not report my room issues because I did not want to change rooms or have maintenance poking around during my short stay.
Pool was nice, and the hot tub was full, so we had no chance to use it, but it was a nice break to be able to use a pool. Room was spacious and clean, and good location for college visits. TV and internet worked well. The staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our time in the room.
So, the rooms are nice. the room service is absolutely terrible. I had to literally leave a note asking for shampoo and conditioner. I had to go the the front desk and ask for the same thing. my dirty towels were taken but never replaced. I just. . . did not feel at home at this one and this is the 4th hotel Ive stayed in, in the last 4 months for work.
I only have 2 negative points to write about. the eggs were super fake tasting so i ate most other items. The elevator in your facility (both of them) are actually kind of scary. make lots of noise, bounce and jostle, and overall pretty worrisome to ride in. other then that the staff was friendly and engaging. staff respected my door sign advising i dont need cleaning for the week i was there, pool/hot tub was clean and nice, overall a good experience.
Fast friendly and seamless check-in/outClean and stylish roomsContinental breakfast was great and the kids love making their own wafflesPool area with patio right there so you can enjoy the outside with a cool refreshing drink while watching you children in poolOverall just s great stay! We come up here bout 3x a year for basketball and so far none of the Marriott hotels have let us down! Looking forward to coming back!
Not only did they have bed bugs, the customer service was terrible. We left in the middle of the night due to a bed bug crawing across my mothers pillow. When we went down to then front desk, the lady was beyond rude and unempathetic. When i told her i was going to call corporate, she told me good, its been 8 years here, I need a change. Unacceptable
My friends and I stayed this hotel for a girls night. This hotel was close to the casino in which we were going to a show at. The hotel staff was so friendly, not once did we feel ignored. The cleaning staff was wonderful as any time we passed one of them, they conversed with us. The room we were in (333) was very nice with no issues. The beds were comfortable and the tv worked great. We did not use the wi-fi so I cannot review that. The breakfast was exceptionally good and there was enough room for the full hotel. The pool looked nice; however we did not have enough time to swim or sit in the hot tub. The hotel was booked for a wedding and we never heard any noise or had any issues with parking or felt our things were unsecured. Great place! No issues at all...
Great place to visit. Good Ambience, friendly staff with typical Midwest manners of warmth and courtesy. Rooms are pretty good with all the standard amenitiesBiggest plus point is the evening snacks and free beer! Yes, free beer! Rarely seen it in any Hilton or Marroitt hotels before where you are charged nickle and dime for everything.
Even though this property was a fair distance from the points of interest we planned to visit, it was worth staying here because of the friendly staff, comfortable room, quietness, and the breakfast was tastier than anticipated. Access to the freeway is easy and the property is located far enough away so that you dont hear the traffic noise. Also, we were able to get a very reasonable weekend rate as an added bonus.
Professional, personable, friendly staff in all areas - lobby, breakfast area, housekeeping. Very comfortable and clean. Very comfortable bed. Nice pool area. Small but sufficient exercise area. Good location - near the expressway. Close to Solon and all that it has to offer - shopping, restaurants, movie theater.
The last night I went back to the room at 1:30 am and the room temperature was 96! The ac was broken and it was blowing hot air. I had to ask to change rooms in the middle of the night. The night guys were very efficient. Next morning when I checked out and brought back the ekeys from 2 different rooms I mention what happened and the front desk did not really care, no apologies or words of reassurance. She just told me to leave the keys there.I left puzzled and disappointed. It would be nice if I could talk to someone about the bitter taste in my mouth.
Hotel was clean, comfortable, friendly staff, tasty food both Thursday night and for the three mornings I was there! Dining area well maintained, cleaned and food stocked by staff.Pool area tidy.Elevators had creaky noises and a bit of a jerky ride but got me up and down okay.
I never have second thoughts about booking a Springhill. The service is always top shelf and I know what to expect in terms of the courtesy of staff and comfort and cleanliness of rooms. Always my go to! Good job, Marriott! Thanks for making it a home away from home!
Over all Good time and experience. Staff and customer service was excellent. Evening meet and greet always runs out of cookies early. A better selection of cheeses would be appreciated. A couple of selections instead of one in the heated portions would help make it better also.
This was a very nice Springhill. It wasnt as clean it fresh as other Springhills Ive been to, but it wasnt ick either. Our shower/tub had a very slow drain. The staff was friendly. The breakfast had a huge selection and it was okay. The one big complaint I have is the Trundle bed. We had three in our double queen suite. So I took the daybed/trundle. It has a pull out below and a daybed on top. As I predicted there were crumbs and sofa droppings when I pulled out the mattress, not to mention, youre laying next to where people put their feet. So I opted for the day bed, which was hard.as.a.rock. They should offer a foam mat to go on top of the daybed.
Springhill Suites-Cleveland is one of my favorite Marriotts. They always have a room available and its always clean. They have comfortable beds and pillows. The swimming pool is fed water from the Hot tub (it has a spill over waterfall), so the pool water is very comfortable and not too cold.
For a family of 6 this was a awesome time! The hotel is very stylish! We got the suite which was perfect for our family! The pool was clean and the breakfast was the best I have ever had for it to be continental! Any family looking for a quick get away that is not expensive, this is it!
If you are interested in staying in a clean, comfortable, and spacious room, with friendly staff, then this is the Hotel for you.Great location, and good for work or leisure stays, the staff is always ready to take care of your needs. I dont even consider staying anywhere else when I go the Solon area to visit family and friends. Also a great value for the money.
The Springhill Suites by Marriott was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It was very clean and well put together. Suited for both business, relaxation, and also for family. Great free Breakfast and extremely friendly staff. I will most definitely be considering Marriott for all my future Business and Personal Trips!
Not safe! We were awoken at 4 am to a man opening our door (latch was only in place). I yelled at him to leave and he said a profanity and it went quiet. I called the front desk and asked the lady to check the cameras or floor and her response was “Im here alone” and “we don’t have cameras”. Police were called (my husband called here and insisted). No cameras is not acceptable with crime levels nearby- no safety plan in place if someone commits a crime here. Won’t be back!
Great location right off the highway and a few restaurants nearby. Far enough from downtown to be quiet and comfortable but within a 15 min drive to any of the cities great attractions. The breakfast was great and had a lot to choose from and the pool with hot tub was a perfect way to relax with my family. Definitely recommend this hotel to any travellers to Cleveland.
On first impression, this was a really nice hotel, but after waking up the next morning, as I was just about to step in the shower, I found mold on the shower curtain which is completely unacceptable!! I immediately called down to the front desk and asked them to bring me a new shower curtain, and proceeded to take the one covered in mold off the hooks. I didnt make a big deal because I had to leave but 9 am, so I carried on with the day. While taking the shower, the water would not drain, which is a major pet peeve of mine, but I didnt share this feedback as a result of the mold from the shower curtain. To fast forward, when I returned to the hotel at about 12:30 am, I walked into my room and the moldy shower curtain was still laying on my floor, and the room had not been picked up. I was exhausted, and quite frankly, furious! So much for ending the night in peace.I immediately went down to the front desk and explained my dilemma. The young lady was extremely professional and kind, especially after I raised my voice at her, which I truly didnt intend to do. She handled herself exceptionally well, and offered to switch my room. After moving to a new room (which was still an inconvenience), I experienced no additional problems. The MAJOR concern that I have though, is the true lack of care management has for their hotel guests. The young lady at the front desk told me her manager didnt come in until 3 pm the next day, and she would call me. Welp, its been 3 days, and I was never contacted. This is unacceptable in every way, and for this reason, I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.
Arrived around 10pm, checked in and headed to the room on the 3rd floor. It was nicely updated and roomy. The only thing I didnt like like was the heating system. It clicked on about every 10 min...other than that, it was a great stay. I would recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
Only ding is the hot breakfast selections. Biscuits and gravy, meh. Chicken bacon, who knew that even existed?!?! The eggs at every Marriott are pretty bad. Nothing to do with hotel at all. Other than fresh eggs, the egg quality at most Marriotts is pretty bad. Are they powered? Ive done a very informal survey watching other guests turn their noses up at the eggs and even kids wont eat them. I know it is tough to provide a simple hot complimentary breakfast. The rest of the breakfast offering are fine.Other than the eggs, I am a happy Marriott customer.

2022-06-04I enjoyed my experience here and the amenities were convenient and good. Why only 4 stars, you need to bring ear plugs if youre a light sleeper the plumbing is loud. By loud I mean if someone upstairs flushes the toilet you will hear it out of all 4 walls and the ceiling at about 85 db. Staff are very friendly. Id really like to give 4.5 stars but Im unable to.

2022-03-11Nice, clean, updated rooms, friendly staff and great location. I always appreciate a hotel that has great options close by for dinner before settling in for the night. The breakfast was kind of terrible, but the coffee was fresh and hot so we’re all good there. My one and only gripe (not entirely the hotels fault) was the water wouldn’t work in the morning. I called the front desk and they switched me to a new room to take a shower. A little inconvenient but they were very quick and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

2022-03-28Very clean and hygienic! I attended a training session in one of their conference rooms, nice accommodations with free coffee throughout the day. My only quibble is that the hallways are a bit too narrow. Otherwise, nice hotel! 👍

2022-05-25I was well taken care of at this SpringHill Suites, and a special thank you to miss Stacy who does guest services at the front desk. She went above and beyond, and she was very hospitable! I can rest easy booking here again knowing I’m in the hands of good staff.

2022-06-23Overall the hotel is nice. I was disappointed my room was not serviced despite requesting this upon check in. I also don’t believe that this should even be requested right now considering the prices being charged. Aside from small hiccup, overall quite happy.

2021-10-19We loved our stay. The mobile check in from the Bonvoy app was nice because there was a large group that arrived just ahead of us. We checked in online and went straight to our room. The property is very clean and the room was very comfortable with amenities like a microwave, fridge and some wrapped paper plates and such. We look forward to staying the next time we are in the Solon area. Thanks for a great experience!

2021-09-30We stayed one night on a trip with our small mixed terrier. Room was spacious, very well cleaned and quiet. Hotel feels new and well managed. Ample quiet location outdoors for walking our dog. Under 10 minutes drive to quality takeout food. Friendly staff. Breakfast was typical. Just an excellent place to stay!
