Jake Hugill was very understanding and made the buying process very quick and easy. He understood what I was looking for in a vehicle and put me into the perfect one. He really listened to what I wanted in a vehicle and what I needed to do financially, very professional. I highly recommend Jake and the entire Spitzer Ford Hartville staff. I will return for any and all vehicle needs in the future.
I love Spitzer because they are quick to get me scheduled for my maintenance. They always have my vehicle done the day I drop it off. If there are ever any issues, they call immediately to explain what, why, and recommendations to what should be done. Thomas Ritari was great with communicating with me. He updated me with needed future services. Boom!!!
When I woke up today I had no idea I was going to buy a truck. I had a service appointment, before I showed up I was contacted by Jacob A salesman at Spitzer. Jacob asked if I was interested in trading my F-150, I wasnt but heard him out. I let him know it would have to be a great deal to get me to trade in and he made it happen! Even got me the rims I wanted. Also I dont have alot of time and I let him know that and that was the best part of the deal while still being thorough he got me out of there in under an hour. Thanks Jacob!
Four years after I purchased a Ford F-150 I needed some paperwork pulled up about the sale that required some time and effort. Rich Ruby in finance was extremely diligent and courteous. I’m used to this kind of treatment when buying a car but was not expecting the same many years later. Thank you for having pride in your work an it’s this kind of decency that will make me return when I’m ready to buy again.
I bought 3 cars in May, I received only the titles to 2of the vehicles. Now, 60 days later, no one can get me my title. Cannot get license plates and now, Im being given the run around by them about the title. They really act like they dont care! They got their money and now, will not discuss the title. Im going to have to file with the better business bureau
They brought the vehicle I was looking for to the dealer. Jacob Hugill did whatever he could to help me through process. Brandon in finance was a pleasure to work with, they don’t try and painfully upsell a bunch of garbage you don’t want. Very happy with their service, highly recommend! Make sure you ask for Jacob!
I was to meet Jake on Monday, March 14 at 4-4:30 to test drive a Jeep Cherokee and Honda Passport. We texted each other on Thursday, March 10 and confirmed the two vehicles would be there at Hartville to drive. I was to meet my husband there as well, but when I got there Jake was with another customer. The manager, who I cant remember his name. came over stating those vehicles are not available but at other dealers and could be brought over. I was furious. He also stated we could talk numbers , but I explained to him I needed to drive them first and this was the reason for the appointment. I never saw Jake or heard from him. I walked out and will never step foot in there again. Not the way to do business. My time is as important as yours Spritzer.I am all about supporting local business, but this is not the way to treat people. A text or phone call would have made all the differenceShame on you Spritzer! Anne
Very special thank you to Dylon Yavosrky for his great care yesterday when we brought our 2011 Ford Edge in for our change..Everyone is very helpful and that is why we always go back. We bought our car new there a d that is the only service center we have gone to. Dylon was very helpful and explained his concerns with us.Just a couple filters. Thank you
Stereotypical car dealership. All talk. The sales manager gave me the nobody will work harder for you and Tell me what you are looking for and put me to work BS. I provided my wish list and never heard back from them again. They talk a good game, but thats it. Disappointed.Im not sure a car dealership with integrity exists today, but I know its not Spitzer Hartville.
Recently went with my family to look at a used car and we were about 2.5 hours out. The sales staff was very open with us off the bat, very patient and negotiating went smoothly! Over all the experience was better than most other dealerships Ive worked with. Our Salesman was Marlin, he was kind and nice to work with. Then in the finance office, it all went very smooth with Rich helping us out making everything clear, and easy to understand. Overall extremely pleased with our experience .
I am a LONG term customer of Spitzer Hartville going back around 30 years . Since I moved from Akron to Medina county I still buy and trade at this fine dealership. Recently I had a works package done on my f150 . The service as usual was very professional and reasonable. Mr. David Miller handled the service . He always handles the service with professionalism and is easy to work with . Keep up the great work Spitzer !
We had an incredible experience with Sean and Doug. The vehicles we were interested in we already pulled out for us when we arrived so we could jump right into business. Sean was honest with us the entire time and wasn’t too pushy. We proudly walked out with our new lease yesterday and we couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market!
I came in here from a roadside emergency, the team at Spitzer Ford were fabulous they did their work in the pot most professionalism and Timely fashion I couldnt be any more please and feel safe with the quality of their work, if I live closer I would definitely continue with their service yours truly Lincoln price
5 Stars for David Wheeler in the Service Dept. last week when my 2021 Red EcoSport Lease was in for its first official service visit. Honestly, all my visits over the term of my prior leased car there, a 2019 EcoSport, were also 5 stars. I can always count on David, or whoever is behind the Service Desk to take care of my car just as if it were their very own. I highly recommend that, if you have not done so, you check out Spitzer Ford at your first opportunity!
Couple of years ago was a trustworthy good place. Many family members have purchased and leased with no problems. But Recently not so great. Was blatantly lied to to try to get into a deal. Even was caught in the lie a week later. We were returning a leasing and a red headed guy from the financial department tried to lie about fees and damage and how much it would cost to try and talk down a value. Then lied about prices and wanted us to go through. Lied so much we were worried to buy or worried we would get stuck with the car because they wanted us to buy it and they would buy it back to put money towards a new one that was ridiculously priced. But wanted us to go through it for 300 dollars. Was told the fees where 350 then the redhead guy says not anymore today they are 650. Ended up returning on lease day for price of 399 which was on the website and the correct price. I’m sad to write this that it’s gotten so bad luring with lies is what a family business has gone to. Good luck with online transparent companies.
Well, I dont normally write reviews, as theres not much normally worth reviewing. Good customer service is almost non-existent anymore. However, my Spitzer Ford experience in Hartville changed that. Ive been dealing with Doug Drake and Brandon Its Nasty Nagy since summertime. I developed a relationship with these awesome human beings right from the beginning. They were personable, honest, hardworking, and just down to earth. I explained to them my distaste for car dealers because lets be honest, the experiences are never exciting. I like a little excitement in my life, so I needed these boys to bring the vibes. Well, they brought the vibes, and the customer service with it. Doug helped me originally order a Raptor ( I should have just bought that dang thing), he didnt play any games on price, and was just downright honest. Nagy worked with me to get out of my vehicle at the time, and help me get the best money possible for my old truck. He worked tirelessly to help me. I have never had a dealer do favors, like these gentlemen have done for me.Fast forward to last week, I approached Doug about possibly trying to get into something new again. Without a thought, he helped me immediately. He told me to head into the dealer, speak with a salesman named Brody, and find something I like. When I showed up, Brody The Giffster Giffin, greeted me with a smile, and instantly offered to help me out. I ran him around like crazy, as I wanted to look at multiple vehicles. He smiled the entire time, and answered all my questions. The next day, I was heading in to make the easiest dealer transaction I have ever taken part in. Doug didnt play any games with me, and we came to a deal quickly. I scolded him a few times for not having the Raptor I wanted, so I picked up a F- 250 SD. I too, like to live dangerously, by purchasing a vehicle that is way more than I need. Doug assured me it was amazing, even though he drives an F-150. Sales tactics at their best. In all seriousness, the entire Spitzer Ford group was great. Brandon Nagy helped me tremendously in finance, and all ended up well. So well, I will say this experience was similar to sitting on the beaches of Hawaii drinking a gin and tonic. Thanks to everyone who worked to help me out, and had to deal with my OCD. You were all wonderful.Doug, you still owe me a Raptor.Cheers,Christopher
I have bought two cars from this dealership in 3 years. The first time I bought a truck they made sure I got the exact vehicle that I wanted for the price I wanted. The second time around we wanted a specific car and they went and found it for us. Whether I am there for an oil change or to buy a new car, they treated me like I was the most important person in the room.See Sean! He does a great job.
Great, I thought I was going to test more vehicles but I love the jeep & Jake Hugill was my salesman & he did such a great job making me feel better about this whole project, I feel he went to everything I need about shopping a car, I truly appreciate & recommend Jake & Spritzer dealership ❣️
I recently leased my third escape thru Spitzer Ford. My salesman Brody Giffin was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and not pushy. He found me an Escape at another dealership and had it transferred in. Brandon the Sales Manager, and Brody went out of their way to give me the best possible price for my new lease and made sure it had everything I wanted. I am so happy with my new car!!! And the best thing is my lease price is much lower this time. Spitzer Ford is an excellent dealership with people that really do care. We have also used the service department many times through the years and can’t say enough about David Miller and Seth. We have never had bad service here. I really like the friendly atmosphere and the willingness to help you in any way possible, big or small.
We have bought from a good bit of dealerships but have never had an as good of an experience anywhere else between a great salesman Sean Greene and a excellent finance person Rich Ruby, paper work was fast and easy. We’re thankful for our new car and all the help they were I definitely recommend buying from them.
My Husband and I had one of the BEST experiences purchasing a Truck from here. Sean Greene (salesman) , Brandon (General sales Mgr.) and Rich Ruby ( Finance Manager) were very professional and made it a non pressureevent for us. I feel this was not an isolated experience but this is actually how they are structured to handle Customers. They have made some changes in Management and it shows. Keep it up!
Brody Griffin was our sales associate and spent a lot of time with us, answering our questions and going out for test drives. He even came in on his day off to complete our deal. He got us a good deal on a tonneau cover, too. Very pleased with our Spitzer Ford experience.
Dealership was full of helpful people. Brody my sales rep stayed in constant contact. Brandon, and Doug communicated with me throughout the deal and worked to get the most for my trade-in and best finance rate. The Finance Manager, Rich, got me in and out quickly through all the paperwork. This was the best car buying experience and I plan to go back in the future. Thanks to all. Highly recommend the Spitzer Hartville to anyone looking to buy a car.
This is an edit from my original complaint against Spitzer Ford Hartville. Spitzer has handled all of my complaints on the purchase of my recent Ford F150. As a matter of fact, they have gone above and beyond. When I took my complaint to the proper people it was handled quickly and professionally . I would like to thank them publicly for handling this so quickly. This was my fourth purchase at Spitzer Ford in Hartville and I look forward to purchasing a fifth.
Sean Greene is an absolute pleasure to do business with! He was enthusiastic and helpful without being overbearing. Rich, Brandon, and everyone at Spitzer were super welcoming, even though I was the last customer on a Saturday evening (lol). I appreciated having a friendly salesman like Sean to make my first car buying experience an enjoyable one.
Quick service. Fixed my rear windshield wiper arm. Motor froze up. Replaced it in great time. It works now and I am happy with it all. I asked to have the SUV washed and that was done perfectly. The person that wrote up my service was Dylan Yavosrky. He was very professional.
Drove almost 300 miles to purchase a vehicle here and didnt know what to expect. In addition it was my first out of state vehicle purchase. My experience exceeded my expectations. The staff was professional non aggressive and wanted to meet our needs first. All worked hard to make the best experience possible. Our salesman was Brody. He is young but knowledgeable and gregarious and willing to go the extra mile to get things done. The two managers, ironically both named Brandon, worked honestly and with out pressure to help Brody with our mutually beneficial transaction. If you are looking for a fair deal and hassle free experience when buying a vehicle, it is worth the extra miles to this little dealership in Hartsville, OH.
David Miller did a excellent job of getting my car in for The Works oil change and service, even though it was getting close to the time that the service department was going to be closing for the day. As is usual, he was very professional in how he conducted himself. He made this experience a very pleasant one.
Called about a truck that was listed for sale online. Brody (who was great help) confirmed the truck was available, so my girlfriend and I drove an hour to the dealership to see it. Test drove the truck and went over numbers. I told them we wanted to discuss over lunch and they insisted we take the truck with us to lunch, so we did. While discussing the transaction and deciding we wanted to move forward with the purchase, I received a call from the manager, Doug, stating that someone else was at the dealership and that they were buying the truck and we needed to bring it back (after only being gone 15 minutes) This struck me as extremely rude and unprofessional and will certainly prevent me from doing business at this location in the future.
My latest experience with Spitzer Ford in Hartville was great! I have bought my previous two cars at Spitzer thanks to their awesome customer service. On Tuesday 05/13/2020 I took my Ford Fusion into the Service department for repairs. Seth in the service department was extremely helpful in getting me set up to get all the repairs necessary. He quickly helped me confirm all the repairs were covered under my warranty and also helped get me a rental car and pick up from the Spitzer facility. while waiting for a rental car to be dropped off to me I met with Brandon Nagy to explore options of getting a new vehicle for my family. Brandon took two hours of his time helping me explore options to get myself into a new vehicle i could afford. Brandon worked all day to get me the price and interest rate i was looking for. At the end of the day i came back to pick up my newly leased 2020 Ford Explorer thanks to Brandon. When i dropped off the rental car i gave them the wrong keys and Seth went out of his way to help make sure i didnt incur any additional cost from the rental company due to my mistake. Thanks to Seth in service and Brandon in Sales I had my best experience at Spitzer yet. I left reassured as to why I am a loyal customer at Spitzer. I highly recommend seeing Brandon Nagy for any of your vehicle needs and Seth in service for any of your service needs!
Brandon Greene is the man! I emailed Brandon on a Saturday morning requesting information on specific vehicle. Brandon found me the vehicle and for a great price within minutes. He had everything ready to go first thing Monday morning, I was in and out of the dealership in less than 10 minutes. Brandon knew my time was important and expedited the whole process. Great customer service and even better people. This is the 9th car I have purchased from Brandon, my forever car guy!
Was looking to sell my truck and since I had the majority of work done, was at Spitzer Ford in Hartville. Made sense to see what they would offer. Made as appointment with Kanyon Collins, Sales Rep. I met with him and the appraiser, they looked over my truck and within 15mins had a signed agreement! Total time spent was 41mins.When I buy again, I will return to Spitzer Ford Hartville, a small town dealer, with fantastic customer service! Friendly staff and they work hard to do the wrong thing! Great Job! Spitzer Ford Hartville!!!!
Just bought a used vehicle and traded anotherThere was no dealing on anything. Also accidentally left a few important items in my trade-in. I at least thought I would get a phone call telling me I left these things but never heard a word from them. Kind of sad when they knew exactly How to reach me.Oh and by the way splitter don’t bother sending me a follow up message apologizing. Everyone knows those messages or just to try to make you guys look better
Took my car in for service just prior to a drive to Florida. Besides the standard great service they discovered my car was out of alignment. They fixed that for $99. This could have been major problem on a long trip. Ive used Spitzer Ford for over 20 years and they are thorough and reasonably priced every time.
Bought a new ranger this week. The dealership is on the small size but that made me comfortable. Johnathon , my sales person was very well informed about what he was selling and communicated it well. My transaction involved a lease return from a different company and was complicated. They knew what to do and understood what I expected. I had been to a ford dealership in kent the day before and they were clueless. In these unusual covid times I was suprised at the deal I got.Iam 72 yrs old and have bought a lot of cars and trucks , this was probably my best experience. The staff is young and smart and good at what they do.
The service department lacks in customer service, communication, and overall professionalism. They failed to do their job by not taking or submitting a photo so it would be covered by warranty, so now we are liable. This situation also has been going on for almost 3 months. They do not care about customer service and obviously do not stand behind their work.
I had a great experience working with the Spitzer Ford team in Hartville. The majority of the process was handled online as my daughter was interested in trading in her current vehicle. We contacted the sales associate online, discussed the vehicle we were interested in, discussed the vehicle we were offering for trade, scheduled an appointment for the very next day and agreed to a fair and equitable deal. I would highly recommend Spitzer Ford in Hartville. A very friendly staff with absolutely no pressure tactics that have made purchasing a vehicle very uncomfortable in the past.
Always given the best service. In the past worked with David Miller but most recently David Wheeler. Both have been exceptional & they are the reason I like Spitzer Hartville. Mr. Wheeler is professional, caring, & upbeat. I am able to have issues addressed promptly and that is important.
I didnt actually end up buying a car from this dealership, but I still had to leave a review. Toni was such a wonderful saleswoman. We showed up to the dealership a half an hour before closing and she still gave us her full attention and listened to my needs. She helped me find a car to fit my needs within 10 minutes of being there. She was very easy to talk to and had a great personality. Had I not changed my mind, I think Toni would have made our car buying experience a great one.
This is my second lease from Spitzer Ford Hartville, and this lease was the easiest, most respectful experience I have had in buying/leasing a car. The dealership was very mindful of state mandates re: coronavirus without being at all intrusive. The negotiating process was honest and without pressure/manipulation and the paperwork is remarkably streamlined (compared with past experiences). I recommend the salesperson I talked with, John White.
I have been dealing with Spitzer Ford in Hartville for the past ten years and have purchased or leased seven vehicles. The team; from Sales, Finance and Service have been great to deal with. They work very hard to gain your trust and build a lasting relationship through low pressure / high quality service. I would highly recommend Spitzer Ford the next time you are in the market for a new vehicle.
Looking for a 2020 hybrid escape titanium I went to three dealers. Brandon and his team were the most professional and straightforward and when I left I knew this was the place to purchase my next vehicle. They were extremely fair with all aspects of the buying process. They did not try to push anything extra, they took the time to explain every charge for the vehicle, and all options available. Spitzer Ford in Hartville sure Did a great job in every aspect.
Great place to buy a carEveryone is so helpful and friendlyAs far as the service department they are great also to the mustang guy that fixed his own body damage and the airbag didn’t deploy that’s why professionals should have repaired it there may have been a bad sensor or wire cut that didn’t get replace when he fixed it in the back yard
Had a great shopping experience, Doug Drake was our sales associate and I cant say enough about his honest, open dialogue! I told him where I needed to be and he went to bat for us. He was also patient and king during the week it took for us to get to the dealership to see the vehicle we were looking at due to a family medical emergency. You made this buying experience easy. Thank you!
The staff was extremely considerate of my urgent need for another car. I was unable to get the original car I wanted, but they thankfully negotiated in regards to another vehicle, the one I purchased. The financing staff was extremely honest, and overall received the best deal possible for my vehicle. I will for sure be returning for any maintenance or future purchases! Marlin and Rich were the employees I spoke with, and was very impressed by their customer service!
We recently purchased our Eco Sport, from Spitzer Ford Hartville. It was our second purchase from salesman, John White. John worked very hard for us, with both purchases, to get us into the car we wanted. He will work hard for you, too.......Guaranteed! If you want a pleasant car buying experience, stop in and ask for John.
As much as I wanted to give Spitzer Ford 5 stars I just couldnt. The people there were great but the tactics of the dealership were not what I expected. I purchased a new Ford Escape just over a week ago. At first my experience purchasing was absolutely great! My sales person Michael was absolutely fantastic and listened to what I wanted unlike other dealers where they try to put you in something you really dont want. He found me the model I wanted in the color I wanted and got me a great price. Everyone I encountered at the time were all professional and courteous. And the 2 gentleman who took the time to deliver my old car home to me were fantastic. The problem is they added a $519 charge to my loan without my knowledge or agreement. Before purchasing this Escape the price was shown all broke down to the total cost to purchase. There was nothing in that estimate that said Id be charged over $500 for a vin etch fee! They added that to my loan without even telling me. This is something some insurance companies will do for free or can be done yourself for under $20. Ive called multiple times in the past week and left my name and number with the receptionist muliple times to have someone call me back. I have never gotten a call back. Im not saying dont buy here but if youre considering buying from Spitzer expect the price they tell you to be hundreds more and if you have any questions after you purchase dont expect to get any help.
Seth Wheeler coordinated my service activities and arranged for timely transportation home, and shortly thereafter, for return to the dealership to pickup my serviced vehicle.Check out was timely (with a Spitzer-provided discount coupon), along with a very much appreciated car wash, and a completed summary of the services & results of those items performed.Bravo to Mike Geitgey, Seth Wheeler and the service technician(s), all who contributed to the stellar service experience. Next time I need service for my Ford Escape, it will be at Spitzer Ford in Hartville.Thank you!
I spoke with Caylob on the phone to set up my appointment. He was very polite and helpful. He was able to schedule me the day I needed and when I walked in he greeted me and remembered speaking to me on the phone. Everyone is super friendly and I will go back when I need more service to my car.
Tyler is an awesome salesman here. Other than him, I will definitely give it a zero star if I could. They took a down payment from me without even having the car that I want. Made me sign for a car sticker that they don’t have, (guaranteed me that they can get that car and it will come on the specified date) Didn’t even make me feel like it would be an issue finding that car. The day came, it was Monday, they said it will be here the next day instead, Tuesday came and they said they are still waiting for a dealership to agree to give them the car, On Wednesday I asked for a call back, they never called me, I said that if by 2pm on that Wednesday, they still don’t have the car, I’m backing out of the deal. All of a sudden, they had a car by 2:30pm! Then when it was time to pick the car up, the price we agreed on and signed for went up, one of the managers I guess said the car was “a little different” from what I sign for so I asked about it and said I am not paying for what I didn’t sign for, (ofcourse I need to know what is different) later on he said “oh it was the floor liners, it was a little extra, it’s okay if you don’t want it, I will take it out and sell it to someone else”. That was just so rude and unnecessary. Also, the salesman won’t even approach you or anything after you’ve gone through all the trouble, not a word after you have done business with them. The main reason I still pursue was because I really want the car. I should’ve went somewhere else. Horrible experience.
Just bought my first car at 19 with the help of sean green that helped me through the whole process. I was very hesitant and nervous throughout the process but sean eased all my worries and made the entire process smooth and made sure I understood everything that was going on and that I left happy and confident in my purchase. Will be recommending him to friends and family.
My grandmother Shirley was looking to trade in her 2013 ford escape to hopefully lease/buy something new so that she would have no worries. We made an appt and spoke with John White. At first, they were having a hard time getting her approved with a decent interest rate. After our appointment, we were contacted the next morning by John who was not giving up on getting her into a new car. The day, the sale went through. She drove away in a 2019 ford escape and she is absolutely thrilled! She doesnt do much with computers but asked me to get on and leave this review for Mr. John White who provided a very pleasant experience as this was our first time doing business at Spitzer Ford in Hartville. We really appreciate your dedicated effort to customer service and being very helpful and a genuinely kind person throughout the entire process. This is her first brand new car that she has had since the 80s. Thanks so much for making it possible!
I was referred here by a co-worker and initially things went great. I got a car and was happy with my experience. I immediately brought my daughter in, same day, and she got a vehicle from them. They offer money for every referral and it has now been over 2 1/2 months and I keep getting the run around on my referral check. I would love to give them a better review, but it seems like they need to work on some things
Purchased a CPO 2013 Ford Fusion with no hassles and honest saleswoman/service technician. Told us upfront about an issue that needed to be fixed, put a down payment to hold with the assurance of a complete refund if repair did not meet our satisfaction. Needless to say - we were very happy with the service and the follow-up paint touch ups that worked with our schedules. We were very pleased with the entire experience, great staff, friendly and welcoming environment.
Received a letter that they wanted to buy my vehicle to trade in for a new one. Im not sure how they even had my information to begin with. I went in, and they offered me less than half of their offer they shared in writing admitting that the letter was intended to just get me in the door. They wasted my time by offering a terrible deal on my trade in vehicle. It explains why they are struggling to move 2019s off their lot. I would not recommend them to anyone and a step further, Id recommend you to take your car shopping needs else where. Ron Marhoffer in Canton was good to me.
This dealership goes above and beyond to not only make a sale, but to help the customer get what they want and what they can afford. My wife and I drove 3hrs to purchase a truck at the Hartville dealership but after arriving there and getting halfway through the paperwork I realized the truck I had been looking at online was only 2wd. I was completely stunned and honestly thought we wouldnt be purchasing a vehicle that day. This was right at closing time and not a single person was negative. Instead Brandon jumped on the computer and started looking at their inventory, before I knew it we were test driving a different truck! We loved it and decided to move forward with it, thats when Rich made the magic happen with the financing, he literally turned an impossible scenario into reality. Our salesman Brody even took the truck back through detail (after already having the first 2wd truck detailed before we arrived). They went the extra mile for us and we couldnt be happier with our purchase!
Great buying experience! No pressure to buy and Megan and the sales staff were friendly and very transparent throughout the process. I got more for my trade then was offered at other dealers in the area, and they were very willing to help us get payments that worked for our budget. My third time buying from this dealership in almost 20 years and it has always been a positive experience!
Contacted Spitzer Ford about a car we found online. Sales representative John White helped us to review the features and take a test drive. John was able to give us the information we needed to drive home the car we wanted at the price we could afford. If you are looking for a quality vehicle at a fair price Spitzer is the place to shop. Thank you John White!!!!
Brody Giffin was the best sales associate a first time car buyer could ask for. He was so dedicated to making the process easy; he drove all the way to PA to pick of a vehicle I was interested in. Amazing experience and will recommend anyone to Spitzer Ford in Hartville!
I recently leased a 2018 Ford Escape from Spitzer, and had an awesome experience. When I arrived at the dealership, I worked with Carmin and we talked about all the details (model, features, price range, etc.) before we went any further. She helped me get exactly what I wanted, and it was a great experience.Working with Adam was great too. He had all of the paperwork ready and organized to make the process quick and easy.Highly recommend Spitzer Ford and the staff!
1#of the worst Dealerships around!I came here with high hopes of finding the vehicle that I wanted. I found the vehicle on line and it was supposed to be at this dealership. I showed up and was immediately jumped on by 3 sales people and they were telling me that I was going to buy a RED car and not the one that I found on line. They made me put $100.00 down on the 1 that I wanted I have been trying to get my 100 back since Saturday and I have been promised to get it back asap. Still no money
I recently came in to look at a truck. Ashley was very helpful and wasn’t the pushy-type. She was able to answer any questions and concerns that I had. I ended up purchasing the truck. The service here was very good and it was a pleasure doing business with them. 10/10 recommend
Took my F150 in for an oil change and recall fix. The low tire pressure light came on a couple days before my appointment. The works package is what I had preformed and it indicates that the tires would be rotated and pressures checked. When I finally got my vehicle back after a longer than normal wait time the low pressure light was still on and it indicated the same tire, which had they been rotated would have changed location. I had another appointment t and couldn’t address the problem right then. And in hindsight I may just take it somewhere else. Not the worst experience but certainly a poor one as compared to previous service visits here. Disappointing.
Three years ago I leased a car from Spitzer. A fine experience during the purchase, and anyone I spoke with during the time of the lease was very helpful. I recently purchased the car and, Mitch, the financial person in charge of this purchase was great. However, the internet manager was somewhat lacking. Initially, he reached out to me about the lease and was fine. He helped things go smoothly and connected me with Mitch to get everything settled. Shortly after the financial arrangements were made, my car started having problems again. (The issues are a whole other story). In order for the car to be looked at at the dealership I chose to take it to, they need a copy of the extended warranty I purchased for the car. He sent a copy to one place, but I chose to take it somewhere else. I asked him at least twice to send me a copy and to send it to the dealership that I chose to look at my car. Again, they won’t look at my car until they have the warranty information. After asking for a third time, he still did not send the information. He finally emailed it to me, six days after asking for it. When I asked him to send it to the dealership I was going to do business with, he said he couldn’t reach anyone there, and that if I could reach them I could send the email, as I said I could look it up. Google!! Five minutes later, I googled the dealership and immediately spoke with someone in service! I forwarded the information that should have been sent when I asked the first time. I realize that I am not the only customer, but it was ridiculous. As an internet manager, one would think that it would be easy for said manager to find contact information and fax or email in a matter of minutes. I suppose he got the commission from the purchase and he was done. His delay in sending me or the dealership has been a huge inconvenience! I need a car to go to work everyday. I cannot get a loaner and it’s expensive to rent, especially when things are delayed by someone’s negligence.
Worst service experience ever. They broke my car during a basic recall repair. Couldnt diagnose their own mistakes after keeping my car for a month. Refused to fix anything. Left my car in pieces. Left me with a broken car and not even a apology. Ford is currently helping me fix it in spite of Spitzers incompetence. Too many good Ford dealerships in the area to have to even consider going to Spitzer. Avoid this place at all cost. Zero integrity.
I Bought a 2012 GMC Sierra back in December the truck is nice. The finance person said that you get part etching FREE because they want it for all their cars. Find it in the paperwork I paid 500$ for. Didnt notice that because everything is electronic signature and going by what he says. Find out Today October that they said they would transfer plates.. they just switched plans and never ran it through the BMV. The store manager said he would help with the 500$ but never heard from again. If you buy from these guys triple check everything before you sign, make them print everything.
My brother and I were greeted right away by mike Geigey and we explained we wanted a soul change and they got right to it we didnt wait long and everything was explained to us very nice we always bring our cars here and they are going to work on his jeep. Great service and people always lol oil change..
I had a great experience buying my Ford Edge from Spitzer Ford in Hartville. Quartni Whited was awesome. We went in with a goal and they definitely met are goals and we walked out of there with exactly what we wanted and a little under the price we were going for. I will for sure recommend Ford Spitzer to everyone I talk to who is looking for a new vehicle. Thank you again for all the help and great service.
Came to have an airbag recall and oil change and was told I could possibly get a car to use while waiting, so I didn’t need to lose half my day. I’ve currently been sitting here for an hour and a half.....I was also told my truck would be scanned and then told how long it would take. Still sitting here an hour and a half with no knowledge of how much longer I’ll be waiting.Very polite and quick on the phone. Very not so polite and quick in person.Car lot full of cars and no access to one to run my errands on my day off. Only came here cu I needed to get the recall fixed. Will probably not come here again.
I actually agree with the majority of reviews on here regarding the friendly staff and family atmosphere.I drove to Hartville from CLE due to their inventory of F250s and found the one that fit exactly when I was looking for as they had a great selection. The experience of the sale was great, they worked with me on the price and financing and we struck a very comfortable deal on my trade and my new truck. However, hindsight being 20/20...my experience after the sale was nothing but pure unadulterated disappointment.Nothing,,,, I mean nothing was explained to me about the Sat radio nor the Sync system. ( Keep in mind I only found out that this was supposed to be gone over with me by the Spitzer staff at the time of sale....when I stopped by another Ford Dealership to ask for help. )Then, 2 months later I called my insurance company to inquire as to why they still had my old truck on my insurance. Only to find out that Spitzer never contacted my insurance company as they had promised! 2 months later and nothing! When I called the dealership I spoke to the sales manger about this and express my frustration, he stated that sales person was let go. Well great, but what does that do for me and your other customers!?!? I got a Sorry and they didnt take my name or number....just a well sorry, he was let go.... and when I specifically asked what does that do for me or the other customers he may have failed to follow-up with I received silence.Well Mr & Mrs Spitzer, its a good thing your sales team took 10 minutes to explain how I should fill out that Ford survey instead of taking 10 minutes to call my insurance company ( or show me how to work the sync radio.)Overall it was a fine experience up front, but my pains come from the post sales experience.Sorry to say, but I was going to return to add on the extended warranty to my truck, but I would rather not give Spitzer another dime because of this experience. Im still furious about this.
The atmosphere within the dealership was positive and friendly - very family like. We arrived early to pick up our new vehicle and everyone was very accommodating. You could tell that everyone working there REALLY enjoys their job.Mike did a great job going through the many features available on the Ford Edge we purchased.Dave, Kelly and Mike - Excellent customer service! Thanks so much.Larry also followed up with us after purchasing to make sure that we were satisfied with our purchase/experience . . . YES, very much so.Lori and Larry Orahood
My wife and I recently purchased a car from Spitzer Ford in Hartville, but well never buy from this dealer again. During the shopping process, we received a verbal agreement on a discounted price from 2 separate salesmen. The price fit the budget and we liked the car, so we agreed to purchase it. I went through the signing process for the mountain of papers that comes with a car purchase and they conveniently left the actual purchase agreement for last. I got to that paper and asked, Why is this not the price we agreed upon? The salesmen said, My manager wouldnt let us sell it for that price so we had to go with the listed price instead. Nobody ever thought it was necessary to pass this information along to the customer. In hindsight, I should have walked away from the deal right then and there, so shame on me for actually signing the papers. So congratulations, Spitzer. You made $400 on that transaction and lost a customer for life.
So I brought my truck here to get an appraisal. The Manager tells me that the truck is way too nice to have just any guy take a look at it. This special guy was out of town. So called the next week and couldnt get in to see him and scheduled an appointment on Monday. I go in see the manager. He males a smart remark and said im not intersted anymore. So I ask why did you tell me different a couple weeks ago. Oh I did research. Total be. Impolite and no integrity whats soever. I wouldnt go here.
I do not live near Spitzer Ford. In fact, they are a two hour drive from me. I do not relish driving so that was an ask. I ended up there because they were both able to locate the rather specific set of options I was looking for on a new truck, and deal that truck for a price others were not willing to. It took a good bit of effort on their part and Alyssa was pleasant and helpful though the whole process. Now Im a bit sad that I dont live closer as I would like to deal with them on service in the future as well though that is not really practicable. I would recommend Spitzer, even if you have to drive and dont like driving.
This was one of our worst experiences ever! They come out Tell us where approved for a car The bank is just taking their time to send over the paperwork to sign. They even let us take it home and then we had to go back the next day to sign papers we get there and they take the car back telling us that were going to get it back they just have to run it through a safety check. They dont even have the nerve to call us and tell us anything and on top of that they lost my garage door opener and I was in and they told me oh well find it well even deliver it now I get told I have to come get it at my convenience what a joke! Lost our business!
For the past month or so Ive been researching & comparing different dealerships and different vehicles. I finally narrowed my search down to about 3 vehicles, one being located at Spitzer Ford in Hartville, so I contacted them through their website. Immediately a sales associate emailed me back and we scheduled an appointment for the following day. Upon arrival, they brought the vehicle out from their Extended Inventory area and had it parked right in front of the entrance, ready for me to.check it out! The Sales Associate, Carmin Citraro, was SUPER nice and extremely knowledgeable! Any and all questions i had, she answered open & honestly, and she made me feel very comfortable. I ended up purchasing this vehicle without even test driving the other 2 vehicles I was interested in...THATS how much i liked it & felt confident about it! I hadnt PLANNED on buying the car & getting to take it home with me that SAME day - but Carmin made the buying process a breeze! I had to go to class that evening, so she was able to get all my info, do a Trade In on my OLD car, switch my insurance, sign all the paperwork, switch out my license plates and get my NEW car cleaned/detailed and filled up with a full tank of gas...ALL in about an hour or so! It was all very pain free & simple, while still being a fun & enjoyable experience! I never felt rushed, Carmin was never PUSHY, and it wasnt chaotic or stressful at all! I love my car I love the dealership and I definitely would recommend Spitzer Ford in Hartville to anyone!!
We went to Spitzer Ford in Hartville because when we called them sad Kimberly told us they had a specific advertised vehicle on their lot. We were there within 20 minutes. Upon arrival she said that it had JUST sold. She tried to get us to look at other vehicles which were thousands more. Total misrepresentation.Regarding COVID -19, the staff were not all wearing masks. We had to ask Kinberly to pull hers up. Another salesman close to us had his completely off as he typed on his laptop. When I commented on it, he loudly snapped at me that he was on the phone. He was not on the phone. We asked to speak to the manager. He was not interested in any of our concerns. As we left, we passed several other employees also not wearing masks. Bottom line - avoid this dealership. Dishonest and Unsanitary.
Scammers! Ford was taken to court over a defect in Ford Focus and Fiesta models and they lost. They still decided they were going to sell cars with this defect anyway and were tight lipped about it. Knowingly sold defective cars they lost in court over 2 years prior to selling the vehicle.
I worked with Carmin and Dustin on a new F150. They were able to get me into the truck I wanted with the payment I wanted. I also had some great conversation with them during the process. Their communication was very good and I would highly recommend. They made the process very simple and provided a true no pressure environment.
Went to this dearlership since was in close proximity to my husbands work. At first (of course) was treated with friendly, eager sales people and Dan WInes seemed sincere. I got good trade in value for my truck and was please with the van I chose. Even the porter who drove me to my new van at a different location was very friendly. The tags and paperwork on the window of the van had a small (but appreciated) 30 day, 3000 mile warranty. Well guess what? When my husband signed the paperwork there was no warranty included at all and the special fabric protector I was very insistent on was nowhere to be found. I called Dan the next business day only to be told hed check into the warranty issue and that he forgot about the fabric protector. They also, without my asking, did an Etch Guard on my car and charged me $250.00 for it and threw it in on my loan so I can pay interest on something I would have declined. Ive never heard one word from Dan about my warranty, or my fabric protection. I guess he made his commission off of me, why bother now? I have heard decent things about this dealership but be very careful with your paperwork (dont let your wife say everything is set, just need you to sign as happened to us) and use another salesman besides Dan. His followup and care sucks.
Started off on the wrong door, they rectified for a minute. Sold me a vehicle with wheel locks and no key. Also mentioned about getting another ignition key since it only had one to my salesman Nick Sipe. Said hed take care of it...two days ago. No response to texts. Guess all they care about is the sale and pretty much thats it. I ended up buying two new keys. All I asked them to do was cut the keys and program and to remove the wheel locks. If I get a flat Im pretty much hosed. Nicks pretty much your stereotypical car salesman minus the gd chains and slicked back hair. Steer clear of them and this salesman. Sad thing is Ive known this guy nearly 20 years. I guess you cannot buy integrity when it comes to sales people. My job takes me to remote areas where terrain. Is rough. Guess they couldnt care less about my safety. Inexcusable!!
Having found out Nick Sipe was back at the Spitzer Hartville location we returned for the 4th time to look for a replacement car for my wife. I have a policy that if its hard work to buy a car then Im not buying if its easy then its meant to be. Gave Nick the wish list, which wasnt an easy one, he found the car, he got us the deal we wanted, it took just over a week and now my wife has another great vehicle that she loves.
On June 15th we inquired about a used Ford F150. My husband told the sales rep that he wanted the truck if there was no rust and would drive seven hours on Saturday to purchase the truck. The sales rep assured us that the truck had no rust. We paid money to make payment arrangements with our bank. My husband drove seven hours and had arranged a trailer to pull his car back home. He asked the sales rep to put the truck on a lift so he could see it. It had a TON of rust, not just a little rust. Apparently the rep thought we would purchase without looking under the truck. My husband was too tired to drive all the way back home so had to pay for a hotel, and miss half of Fathers Day with our children. We have attempted to speak to a manager about this lie which cost us a lot of time and money, but have been unable to speak to anyone. Not people I would ever attempt to do business with again.
I recently reached out to Spitzer because of my interest in a specific vehicle they had for sale. I told them I planned to make it there as soon as possible and that it would more than likely be the next Saturday, which I believe was 3 days from my initial contact. I told them I would let them know exactly when I was leaving home so theyd know when to expect me. No problems so far. So, Saturday comes and I receive and email wishing to confirm my appointment. I email them back to confirm and tell them that I will email them again when Im walking out the door and that I will be there roughly 2 hours after I do that. So I send the email saying Im leaving, walk out the door and am on the road there. Well, I get all the way there and stop for my wife to use the restroom, notice I have an email. I read the email and Im told that the car was just sold. So I drove over 2 hours for nothing. The car was sold when they knew I was on my way there to look at that specific car. I drove all the way there for nothing. It was the most unprofessional experience of my life. Then the guy says he can show me a few other cars. Ive seriously never been more mad in my life. I think sold the car days before and just wanted to get me there. I have the emails saved as proof of all this.

I brought in my container of coffee, was introduced to Carmin, who had set up an appointment with me last week and asked what vehicle I wanted and what options I wanted. When I arrived, Carmin showed me the vehicle that she had chosen and printed me out the side window sticker. She was very knowledgeable with regards to the vehicle and answered any questions that I asked. The vehicle had all the options that I wanted. We then met with her manager, Dan, and the three of us discussed the vehicle and price. Dan worked to get me the best offer and Carmin worked to make sure that the vehicle was everything I wanted.Having a previous appointment, I was out of the showroom within an hour and promised to return in an hour and a half. When I returned, Carmin moved all of my belongings from my former vehicle to my new vehicle and Dan printed out all of my paperwork. I was out of the showroom within 45 minutes with my new vehicle. A pleasant experience that was above and beyond. I whole heartedly recommend this experience to any new car buyer who wants a pleasant quick in and quick out. Carmin and Dan are the dynamic duo.
If you are considering a vehicle purchase I would strongly recommend you visit Spitzer. Its worth the drive. I worked with Carmin on this purchase and I couldnt be happier. She was very professional and provided outstanding service. Probably the best buying experience in my last 40 years. Check them out!
If you are considering a vehicle purchase I would strongly recommend you drive to Spitzer Ford. I worked with miss Carmin on Purchasing a truck and I couldnt be happier. She was very professional and provided outstanding service. Great place to buy a vehicle. Highly recommend!!!
When trading in my 2016 Ford Focus for a 2015 Honda CR-V, Carmin & Don helped me figure out different payments through multiple banks. It was a long process, but they helped me tremendously with every step along the way. I love knowing that when I bring my car in for service that Ryan will explain every detail and makes sure everything is perfect for when I leave. I will always come back to Spitzer Ford, because Ryan always makes sure everything is perfect with my car.
My fiancé and I went into the dealership to look for a new car. We got greeted by Carmin who is so friendly. She asked us about our needs and wants for our future car to help us find what we want. The first car I test drove I fell in love with but it wasn’t everything I wanted. Even when we said no to it, she wasnt pushy and trying to sell. She was completely understanding and told us if she finds what we want that we will be notified. Within a month my fiancé went back to the dealership to see if they had anything new on the lot and she was there again. Thankfully she found us exactly what we wanted because it just came in within a few days. From that point on, she was extremely helpful and personable. She answered every question we had, helped with our trade in, honest about the car we picked, dealt with all of my fiancé’s annoying jokes. She was wonderful. I don’t have a single bad thing to say about Carmin. Even after we purchased my dream car, she contacted us making sure we loved it and if we have any concerns to let her know. I will recommend her to anyone i know wanting to buy a new car. Obviously spitzer too, because without them hiring her, we wouldn’t have been helped by the best car saleswoman I have ever met.
My husband and I were truck shopping and decided to swing by Spitzer on a whim and was greeted by Carmin. We told her exactly what we were looking for. She asked for our email and said they have 14 lots and would email us all the inventory that we might be interested in and could have any truck be brought to Hartville to be test driven. Something that other dealerships didnt offer. Yes! Car shopping made easy again. We found exactly what we were looking for. Thanks Carmin! We will never swing by Spitzer on a whim, you are now our dealership.
I have had my 2015 Ford Focus seen by Spitzer Ford 3 times in a little over a year. They have not been able to fix it as of yet. It has been in the shop for repair 2 weeks now and I havent heard a word from Spitzer. I would think they would call me with an update but it hasnt happened. I called them today but they were too busy. Guess Ill have to call back later. If my car isnt fixed this time Im going to consider the lemon law. Not a fan of Spitzer Ford.
We have just purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Spitzer Ford in Hartville, Ohio. We had been looking for a particular type and color of car for a while, and found the car that caught our interest, on the internet and contacted them on Saturday. Mr. Matthew Burnworth was the salesman who went above and beyond, the extra mile to help us out. We live over 50 miles away and did not want to drive down to look at a car that would not be as we hoped for. Mr. Burnworth went out into the lot and gave it a good looking over and assured me that it was worth the drive. (And it was.) When we arrived at the dealership, Mr. Burnworth gave us a VIP welcome, and helped us in every way as we inspected the car, he was more than patient with our questions, and was very knowledgeable about the car we were interested in.We also met Mr. Mike Freeders who helped answer some not so typical questions about warranties, mechanical issues, and dealership, we found him to be most friendly and very knowledgeable. After we made the deal, we were introduced to the F & I Manager, Mr. Andrew Anderson, and he proved to be just as helpful and knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. All in all, this was one of the best experiences I have had in my 70 years of buying a car. The folk at Spitzer are truly The Friendliest, Most knowledgeable, and helpful when it comes to buying your next automobile, stop and see them today !! Good Cars, Good People, Good Time at this dealership. Note: I do not nor/ ever have worked for Spitzer, This review was unsolicited
Forgot to post a review. After being told there was nothing wrong with my car by a gentle man in service my car started overheating. Turns out there was no coolant. Not. One. Drop. Took it in another time and Tiffany majorly helped me out. Got me a loaner quick and without her help my car would not be running stellar today. Also shoutout to Brody in sales. Go see him!
Micheal Anderson was very friendly and helpful. I walked in just browsing for a car; he came out and showed me exactly what i was looking for. Told me all about the car, had the car facts ready, and told me about the perks. Once i told him i liked the car and would like to take it home he took care of the paper work stayed with in my budget and made me feel like a valued customer.Thank you to Micheal and the Spitzer Ford of Hartville Team.
Manager...Rob.. Salesman...Brody..AMAZING !!! I have NEVER had such a professional..fun..and informative visit at a car dealership as I did with this team !!!! We have since sent friends and coworkers to them !! Finance guy is great as well !!!! Thank you for making our experience easy...little over an hour there..drove my new vehicle home !!!
Well doneThis morning I went to change to snow tires and found the lug nuts over tightened. I destroyed a lug nut cover (not too bad), but also sheared off the details on the security nut wrench, meaning that I could not change any of the wheels. Spitzer (Dave) made it right. Got all of the lug nuts off and replaced the security nuts at no charge. I was impressed. No argument; they just made it right. Thanks!
Extremely disappointed with Spitzer Hartvilles service dept. Took my car there for a stalling problem I have. Told them EXACTLY how it happens ..and it does happen daily.. and they kept my car for a day. They said they let it run for over an hour and even took it for a drive and could not recreated the issue and advised us to being it back if it happens again so that they could pull the code. I took it home and within the hour it had stalled 4 times just by doing exactly what I told them THEY needed to do to see it happen. Those 4 stalls caused the engine light to come on AGAIN so that they could see the code. We took the car back the next day (Friday)and asked for them to read the code. The Svc Mgr said there were no technicians there who could read the code. Hmm??? he is the service mgr and I guarantee you he knows how to plug the code reader in and get the code. Simple! He said he wouldnt have anyone to do it until after the weekend. I will not be returning to this dealer for ANY service..or vehicle purchase in the future. There are plenty of other dealers and when you tell your customers to bring their car back for help..and then DONT HELP THEM... you should not expect return business. Just common sense.
I bought a 2013 Ford Fiesta with very low miles. I had it for 6 months and had to take it in 4-5 times for different reasons. The last time I took it in they told me nothing was wrong with it. I would be driving and all of my emergency lights would start flashing on and my headlights would flicker off. Finally I took it in and told them I didnt want it anymore. They told me they didnt see anything wrong with it and they put it back on the lot. I requested a car that didnt have more than a $300 max payment and the only car I was offered was a 2016 with a payment of $314. Everyone was very nice and understand; they did what they could. It was just a very frustrating situation that I now have to pay for their mistake.
We came to this dealership based on a truck that was listed as available on line. We drove over an hour to check out this truck. Prior to our making this trip I emailed back-and-forth with a salesman and spoke with a representative and made sure that the truck was equipped as it said it was on the Internet. When we arrived at the dealership the truck was there, it was not equipped as promised it was not even close. All they were intrested in doing was trying to get us to buy something new, a classic bait and switch scam. The manager who met us in the parking lot and got us hooked up with the saleswoman then completely disappeared from the picture leaving the saleswoman to deal with us. Did not come out of the store wouldnt talk to us any further. Made no apology or even tried to appease us in any way. Stay away from this dealership if you walk into this dealership turn around and run away as fast as you can.
Must read.I brought my truck in to have an issue looked at. It was making a rattle upon staying the vehicle. The dealer and I confirmed the issue. I left the vehicle for the repair and two days later they said I needed 2 new turbos and I agreed. Thirty days later I got my truck back with a buffed bed and both fenders scratched. They said that was the way it came even though I never used white wax. This residue was all over my truck. I left dealership heading for Cleveland. I wasnt a mile away and the service engine light came on so I called immediately and they said its no big deal and to bring it in tomorrow. I drive to Cleveland and on the way back the truck was losing power. On the expressway coming to Massillon rd, the truck was at 4000rpm just to get up the hill. I got off and drove slow and the truck stalled in front of Akron General. I got out and looked, the truck was covered in oil. Their tech forgot to tighten the oil line.Do not let them service your vehicle.
These guys were so awesome! Eric Kotzar was my salesman and really helped me find the best deal on the new car I wanted when the other dealerships I went to wouldnt accommodate even a little. He walked me through how the car works so I was familiar with the functions of it and was happy to work with me and answer all the questions I had.I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone I know!
Good used inventory bad sales staff.I went to this dealership to look at some of their used inventory I was there to look at a Chevy Trailblazer. I dealt with a Salesman named Brian there he said hed only been working there for about 4 months and this was very obvious to me. My father and I came in ready to buy and after an hour-long test drive / mechanic inspection we sat down to talk about numbers we are very pleased with the car we just wanted them to take off a small amount of money before we sign papers. Brian refused to talk about the bottom line price instead he insisted that we fill out a credit application before we talk about that. This was very frustrating and it took 10 minutes of back and forth before we finally got to talk about the price tag. We made a fair offer and he left to talk to his manager he was gone for 30 minutes and he came back with a solid no refusing to work on price with us. We left disappointed with how much time we have wasted and with our experience there.
Took my 2010 Chevy HHR in for a free car wash. The drivers side interior door handle had been a little loose for a month and a half. No big deal. The employee who took the car to wash it returned with the interior handle in their hand. Long story short, since there was some responsibility on both parties they agreed to provide labor to repair the problem and allowed me to find and supply my own aftermarket parts for the repair. Door handle is working fine.
I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH SPITZER AGAIN! THEY EITHER 1. HIRE SNEAKY PEOPLE OR 2. DO BUSINESS ALL WRONGPlease let me explain why I am so dumb-founded at the service we received. This past weekend my husband and I visited Spitzer to test drive and possibly purchase an F-150. We arrived at the Hartville location around 9 am test drove the vehicle talked with the sales representative and told him we would be bringing our trade-in back up either later that day or Monday. After my husband and I spoke on the way home we decided it was a purchase we were ready to make. We called the sales representative and assured him we would be bringing the trade-in up that evening around 4pm and asked if it would be possible to take the truck home that evening or would it have to be another evening. He assured me that it would be possible to take it home that evening. Once we arrived at Spitzer the sales representative drove my husbands car (telling him he would have a lot of people excited about this being on their lot). At no point did we expect to be leaving Spitzer in our own vehicle and without the F-150. While signing the paperwork on privacy and taking my husbands personal information our sales representative walked away to the nearby counter. When he returned he said he had some bad news. He mentioned that another couple had just said yes to the same exact vehicle. Tried showing us a few other trucks similar but not what my husband wanted. When asked why we were told we could take it home he said it is SPITZERS policy to not hold a vehicle for anyone in case they do not return. He said if that was the case I couldnt have shown you the vehicle this morning He told us the couple had been there the night before looking at the same truck. The other couple was from out of state and my husband and I assume they said yes the same way we did the night before. I believe that this truck was meant to be theirs however I feel that DIRTY BUSINESS = NO BUSINESS. We should have never been shown this truck or at least knew that it was already spoken for until further notice. This would have give us the opportunity to spend the day looking at other vehicles in the surrounding areas. I will be speaking with the manager at this establishment about how ridiculous this is. Please take this into consideration when doing business with this establishment.
I didnt buy any vehicles. But, my dad is who bought his trucks from here. They are a great place to check out different new and older vehicles there. They are pretty good, with listening to what you are looking for and they tend to find it, or something close to what you are looking for.
Sales manager whined about not making as many sales as the Cuyahoga falls dealership and kept telling us to make a decision right now! My wife was shaking from the pressure. A true salesman would say go home and think about it, we will still offer the deal if you come back . We were originally there to look at a 2015 Acadia and they pressured their Escapes instead.
Check your paper work very carefully, we had to return to do the paper work over because of mistake and they still have it wrong. They give you free car wash for life thats if you have about 10 to 20 minutes to waste. To get the the free car was you have to go to service wait for them to find a porter and then he will take it thru for you .... the have a lot to learn about customers and there needs not the dealerships needs.
What a great experience when purchasing a car at Spitzer Ford Hartville. I wanted to surprise my wife with a new Mustang and what a surprise I got. Nike Sipes was the salesman and what a true professional. He listened to what I wanted and what I wanted to do. He delivered the whole package. He was not pushy and took care every detail. I received the car I wanted for my wife and was within my price range.Nick took a personal interest in making this very special, even ensuring the car was spotless when the key were turned over to my wife. The whole dealership was friendly. Starting with Nick and then there was Pete Goranitis who did the magic with price. Dave Siemon, General Manager, who introduced himself and greeted me. And the real special person, Kelly Albertoni, who did the paperwork and made my wifes day. These people made us feel like we were apart of their family. We would highly recommend this dealership to our friends and family.
Service Center and Manager Mike provided the poorest service we have seen in years. Not only did they tell us that our warranty was expired when it was not (I can read), but Manager Mike also tried to say we didnt need the manufacturers recall on the carbon monoxide sensor unless we could smell it! I reminded him that carbon monoxide is odorless, and he said well unless youre having trouble with it. Trouble? Like what? Unconsciousness? Death? So glad we pulled the vehicle and took it to Klaben in Kent where they are 100% professional and courteous as well. Lesson learned.
I had a good experience today, I should say every time I stop in for service. I worked with Rebecca in the service department to get my vehicle serviced. She walked me through all of my recommended services items and reminded me of my service rewards that I had accumulated. I did have a slight issue where something wasnt just right after the service appointment but Mike and Rebecca were more than willing to fix the issue and make it right. Thanks again!!
WOW! Very impressed with the honesty and level of service provided right off the bat. Dan, my salesman, was extremely helpful in getting done what I knew I wanted. A+ recommended dealer and salesman. Will hopefully return some day to show my commitment and help quantify my appreciation.
DO NOT BUT FROM THOSE GUYS!WHAT DID WE DO WRONG?we only bought vehicle , but we never got a title, only washing out answers, bad answers, rude answers ,this dealership cant give you right answers!!??im really trying to ask general manager but they sent us irrelevant people who gives foggy explanation. .
2011 f-150 bought from here, only to find out 2 months later they did a very temp fix to some rusty cab corners... problem has gotten much worse since. Owned for 12 months now. Also obvious to me now that the 3 days at the detail shop (offsite ??) was more like at a body shop getting its prob masked. Looked perfectly fine when bought, bubbles 2 mo later, and 2 body guys have showed me where it was taped, overspray marks and a spot that could have used a tad more blending. This place has no problem dooping me and passing the problem right along. Would suggest finding a better more trustworthy dealer!
The salesman at Spitzer Ford. DUSTIN DYKES was very pleasant and knowledgeable about there inventory and not intimidated to make such an important decision on the spot will recommend Spitzer Ford In Hartville to all my friends Thank you Dustin for making my choice so easy
Enjoy coming to spitzer ford in Hartville friendly folks but this time this was the most expensive oil change Ive ever had. Driving out of there with a new car for my wife was not really our intention we were really just gunna look while waiting but we couldnt pass up the deal Carmin was great work out a payment the we could afford and a deal we couldnt pass up Love the new car Thank you everyone God Bless you all and God Bless America
Went to look at a truck that their website had advertised. When we got there (40 minute drive) was told that vehicle was in Mansfield and their website display of inventory is not accurate. Wanted to look at another vehicle there on lot but sales men had no information on what vehicle had options. In my opinion you should have paperwork and details for everything that is on your lot...especially if you are selling it.
The worst experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership . I bought a 2017 Dodge Durango , I’ve been having issues with it since day 1 . The only answer I can get from them is take it to a Chrysler dealership even though I bought it from them . I will never buy / recommend anyone to them .
I got a use truck that they said they just took in. They told me that it was check out and they did some work on it but they only did the work they couldnt hide... A few days after I got the truck home I found out you couldnt lock in the front hubs. So I call them and they said bring it in and they would check out.. The service tech said he check them and they worked but someone had used pliers on the hub and broke them and they still didnt turn.. So the truck set most if the winter in all that snow. Then they told me 600.00 dollars and they could fix it.. After looking around I found both hubs at a ford dealer in canfield ohio for 295.00 dollars.. Wow sure beats 600.00 dollars. Then about 200 miles after that the front bearings starting locking up and Im sure the tech check that out also,, So it just go to show you byer beware and have someone else check your car or truck you get from them. I will never go back.
We spent $24,000 there on a Ford Fusion with extended warranty as soon as we had a problem they wouldnt stand behind their warranty they refused to come get the vehicle from Sebring they left my wife stranded on the sideroad but the alliance Ford dealership had no problem come and get in the car standing behind the extended warranty so if youre looking for a Ford I suggest you go to Alliance because the people in Hartville dont stand behind what they sell

2022-04-09Huge thanks to Sean and the rest of the Spitzer Ford team. My wife and I had been looking at trucks for months, gave Sean a call last minute and he and his team made it happen effortlessly! Absolutely no pressure, everything was laid out up front and explained thoroughly. Sean kept the ball rolling and had us in and out in no time. We purchased our F150 and hit the road for a seven hour road trip! We will definitely be returning to Spitzer Ford and Sean for our next purchase. Not very many small town dealers left that give you that family feeling. Well done guys HIGHLY recommend this team!

2022-03-16My husband and I highly recommend Spitzer Ford Hartville! We had a great car buying experience! Doug Drake, the Sales Manager, even offered us a good trade in value! Our sales guy, Jake Hugill, was also great to work with! Thank you Doug and Jake for helping us get the truck of our dreams! :)

2022-06-15I inquired about a Ranger that was for sale and received a message back from Jake Hugill. His communication was very good and he answered all of my questions very quickly. I drove up after work for a test drive. We were able to complete a deal in a very short amount of time. I was not ready to give up my vehicle at that time as I had not removed all of my things. They offered to deliver my vehicle to me the next day at my work and pick up the trade in. What a great experience, Jake was awesome as was Brandon and Rich. Fantastic service from everyone. I would recommend Spitzer Ford in Hartville to everyone. Great job folks!

2022-01-09This is was the easiest, most pleasant buying experience weve ever had! I cant say enough how impressed I am with how hard Doug and Matt worked at finding me what I wanted at a sister dealership, and working through the hurdles the other location were causing, to get me my Explorer. They even traded a car and drove to get mine the same day. The forged green metallic explorer is stunning!!! The gentleman who did our paperwork, and I cant recall his name at this moment, Im sorry, was phenomenal! He had us in and out and his personality rocks! When I buy another Ford I will never go anywhere else. A++++ guys!

2022-06-22Overall the sales staff is great. When we got there to look at a vehicle with new brakes the thing wanted to shake apart when you stepped on the brakes. That told me two things. The salesman dont know what theyre selling and these vehicles arent getting thoroughly inspected. We tried to leave empty-handed but the salesman, very professionally reeled us back in to put us in another vehicle. We left satisfied. 2 Days later the AC had gone out in our new vehicle. We took it back to Spitzer Ford Hartville and theyre asking us to pay $3,299 for the repair. I get it, we bought a used vehicle. Ill take it to get it fixed somewhere reasonable and somewhere we can trust.Another thing that made us leery. We said we needed something with tow. The salesman desperately trying to sell us vehicle before we left said if tow is going to make or break the deal, a hitch will only cost me $500, Ill put it on anything you want. Only to sit down to finish our financing and find out he decided to split it with us so we paid the $250. Its unbelievable.

2021-12-30Stopped in for service on my husband’s truck. Walked out with an awesome barely used Lincoln Nautilus after a more than fair trade-in on my own vehicle. Sean was super low-key and quietly knowledgeable about the new vehicle as wellas my trade-in. Best car buying experience my husband and I had ever experienced and would definitely recommend this dealership.

2021-10-12An absolutely outstanding buying experience. From Zach, our salesman, through Brandon and Rich in finance and GM Rob as well as others we met along the way, THIS is what car buying should be. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable people and some outstanding high line pre owned vehicles to choose from. Cannot say enough about this dealership!

2021-07-25Do not go to this place. I have always trusted all of my maintenance with this dealership. About 2 years ago I was in a minor accident but my my front driver airbag went off in my 2010 mustang. Not that much damage was done to the body so I fixed it and took it to this dealer to have the airbag replaced. Long story short, I was in a much worse accident a little over a month ago that totaled my car and messed up the front end of my car very bad. The airbag that I had “replaced” did not deploy. I have the receipt from the dealership showing I took it there to be replaced. Some how I was not hurt in this incident, but I am very lucky and will never trust this dealership again.I have edited and attached the photos of the car. I realize it depends on where impact was, but everyone including the responding officers agreed that the airbags should have deployed in this case.
