Please, avoid this dealership at all costs. They tried to pull a bait and switch on me, as I was offered $500 off on price initially. When I went back a few days later, I was told if I buy now I would get better deal. I was shown a number that was $1,000 cheaper. Filled application and left to sign the next day. However, found out they were charging full price. When called out, they reneged and accused me of lying. I walked away from deal and wrote a negative review. I was told the employee was fired and I offered to purchase the car for $500 off, original offer. I was told if I took the negative review down I should get the $500 off. I did that and was told no deal. Its been almost 2 weeks and car is still on their lot. They are rude, shady and deceptive. Plenty of other dealerships who will treat you better.
Tried several dealerships to find a new truck with zero effort on the part of the sales staff to even look. Stopped at Spitzer and Scott Van Riper, while pessimistic about the availability of one in the current market, offered to sit down with me and see if anything was available. I drove my new truck home 5 days later. Scott, Dan and the entire Spitzer staff were excellent.
Recently had to have my airbags fixed on a recall. At that time i drove my truck into the service bay snd they noticed one of my front head lights was out. Asked me if i wanted it replaced, i asked for a price and they said 480 dollars and i said no. One of the service techs heard the price and said it doesnt take hour to replace a bulb. Requoted and it was 75, but i replaced it before and it took me 5 minutes and a couple of dollars. Would never buy or have service work done at Spitzer,I feel they are a very dishonest dealership and out for the all mighty dollar.
My experience with Spitzer Chevy in North Canton, OH was NOT a good one. I had initially leased a Chevy Trax on May 30, 2019 and I loved it. My lease was nearing the end when I was contacted by the salesman who said because my vehicle had equity I should come in and most likely be able to get an even better deal - better car, lower payment, etc. I went in on 03/01 and at that time I told the salesman that recently I had to file bankruptcy. The reason I did was I was laid off from my job during COVID and was granted Unemployment Compensation. At some point UC decided I was NOT eligible and wanted me to pay back over $12,000 (it was later found to be THEIR error, not mine and I wouldnt have to pay the money back but by then I had already filed the bankruptcy). I did reaffirm my contract with GM Financial so it wasnt included in the bankruptcy. I have made every single payment. I have never missed or been late with a payment and with only 2 payments left I have a PERFECT credit record with them. Instead of the better deal I was led to believe I would get it was not. The car was a little better (still a Trax but 2022 and AWD but the payment was to be higher at $250 per month. After careful consideration I agreed with the understanding I wouldnt pay anything more than that. I also had to include a $400 down payment. I was told the vehicle was expected 05/02. About the 2nd week in May I contacted the salesman who said he expected it at any time and would contact me when it arrived so I could come, pick it up. Finally, on 05/27 I was called and had an appointment for 6pm that evening. I was excited to be getting my new sliver Trax but to make a long story short, although I had perfect credit with GM Financial and a 100% on time payment record on my credit report I was denied because my score wasnt as high as it was when I initially leased (although I have been rebuilding and have been accepted and have received major credit cards). Not only that, Spitzer had been sitting on my down payment interest free for almost 3 months at that point. When I asked about getting the down payment back, the salesman acted surprised, like he had never had to return one. My son spoke to the manager and was told a check would be processed but since it was the weekend it wouldnt be ready right away. I ended up calling back on Tuesday and was informed it would be returned back to the debit card it was made from but could take another 7 to 10 days. With only 2 payments left to go I will need to continue looking. Fortunately my sons father (now deceased) was Sales Manager at Spitzer Ford in Cuyahoga Falls, OH so my son knows many of the salesmen and managers. As I was leaving the dealership in Canton, the salesman says, no hard feelings. Naturally, I was upset but all I said was, total waste of my time. Then in a loud voice he said, well its not MY fault your credit score dropped so anyone within earshot could hear him which embarrassed me further. My advice - look elsewhere and since I expect this review to be removed I will also be posting on Google and other Social Media outlets.
This is without a doubt the worse car buying experience we have ever endured. Spent almost 70K on a vehicle and was told I had to buy window etching. What a rip off. After 3 hours spent at the dealership I was not even offered a soda and given a Tesla that was not charged and told good luck getting back to Cleveland.
Maria Dienes was EXCELLENT, she listened and did not push. Offered services and accessories but was helpful like she was interested in my needs not just making add on sales. Process was pretty smooth and I felt like I had a new friend- I have purchased 3 cars from Spitzer so far, I will search out Maria Dienes next time for sure.
Very disappointing experience with the sales person trying to sell us a car and NOT TRULY LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMERS NEEDS...First lowering the price by $2500, then trying to up sell a warranty so in the end youre back at the asking price.. going outside of the payment plan that we were shooting for... THE OLD BAIT SWITCH TACTICS!!!!THE WORST PART is how does the payment go up when youre offering a trade in well worth $6500! clearly another bait switch tactic.. Causing the payment to be even higher than what we originally started at.Especially when the car was originally going to be sold with aNO WARRANTY (AS IS)then you offered a warranty Thats a shame on Spitzer for trying to use such devious tactics in this messed up economy, just to make a fast buck! 🤑I would clearly advise anyone not to go there unless your credit score is at 650 or above...In the end its very clear you cant do help individuals with lower credit scores...Last but not least, there was already a pre-qualified application submitted.Smh 😡😠😡😤Sign,Disappointed potential customer
Have had car for about 2 weeks now and have already replaced front breaks and the back rotor is completely rusted and crumbing. I have a disabled child and getting a new car was going to put us back on our feet. Rather we spent our last 2000 to finance and got absolutely taken to the cleaners.
This place is terrible and won’t ever come back to it again. We’ve had problems here multiple times. Fixing one car, emptied out the coolant and never refilled it when it was time to be picked up. By the time we got home we noticed the car was running very bad and the ac didnt work. We then popped the hood and realized that my car was completely empty of coolant. We drove it back home and the next day when I went to go start it the car wouldnt start, so we had to get it towed to a new shop, That shop informed us that our ac lines and coolant was completely drained and to make matters worse they also unplugged my starter to my car. We Had the sunroof fixed for blockage as water was leaking through. Said they fixed it and checked by splashing a bucket of water onto the car, like that will solve anything. Next time it rained, water leaked through again soaking the driver side and they had the audacity to try and have us pay for it again when they said they fixed it? Like no. Fix THE MISTAKE YOU MADE.This is the best part. The manager and his employee talking back to my father. The guy had the audacity to ask my dad if he worked for a living. I wish I was able to add videos on here because I recorded the whole thing and would love to show how spitzer chevy truly treats customers. Oh and the icing on the cake is that they left my car with some pretty big scratches when I got it back. I highly recommend not bringing you or your family and friends business here at all. Very unfortunate how downhill this place has gotten.
Service advisor was extremely poor on communication. Had the vehicle for a week and was told he would let me know daily of the status, yet I had to call to find out. I would often call leave my number for a phone call back, and have to call back 3 hours later when I never recieved a call back. Was left without a mode of transportation for a week most of which was out of the control of the dealership, but I had to call every day to find out the status and once was told well tomorrow is another day.
Michelle Yantra was my service advisor and she did an exceptional job to keep me informed about my transmission problems on my 2011 chevy Silverado sometimes I didnt agree with the pricing but with these trying times I finally got it that it wasnt any bodies fault its just the way it is right now with parts ordering
Originally I wrote a five star review that’s until I found out the truth about this company. They tell you they do certain tests or modifications to your vehicle that needed “fixed” in a month or so later not even the same problem that they said they fixed is still present. This company refuses to own up to their mistakes I just cares about taking money from you. My family has been coming here for years and we’re just finding out that they’ve been lying to us about what work they’ve actually been doing and we’ve been waiting money for them not to do a single fix at all. They’ll just keep charging you, and charging you for the same mistake they supposedly said they fixed when they didn’t. My family will not ever come back to this company again. The staff is not well educated when it comes to fixing the vehicle and instead tack on services that wasn’t asked or required. Or when you want to look up paperwork that they supposedly save a line to make a point it magically disappears. My family and I thought we could trust you with the service of our vehicles but turns out you’re just like most car dealership companies that just want money. You’ve made too many mistakes on our vehicles and we’re done with it.To everyone reading my response go somewhere else because they can’t be trusted doing the work when all they wanted is your money
GREAT service. Brought up an issue with the service manager. The noise kept coming back. Called Tom (new service manager) and he went on a test drive, diagnosed in little time and the next day, we brought the car back in. No more noise. Wife is happy that her car is perfect again! Thanks Tom!
Something has seriously changed in Spitzer Chevrolets service department. I bought my car new from them. I used to refer family and friends based on my service experience. Ive brought in all 5 cars from our household to them for various service needs. In their recent work for me, theyve forgotten to put coolant in the engine after draining it. Theyve forgotten to replace freon after bleeding the AC lines. Ive found the starter wire knocked loose and had to pay for a tow before i discovered the issue. Ive also been quoted one amount and the final bill was nearly $700 higher than what I was quoted. Thanks, Joey! I recently had the sunroof drain worked on twice. Turns out their technician originally tested the water backup problem with a bucket of water. No wonder it was never properly diagnosed or fixed and reoccurred on the next big rain day. I was told there would be no charge since they clearly didnt fix the issue. When I picked up the car, they had not only charged me a second diagnostic fee, but labor as well. You can imagine my disappointment. Needless to say, I addressed my concern with the service manager. He immediately escalated the issue by condescendingly asking me if I worked for a living?. At this point Ill tip my hat and say thanks to the women in the cashier department for getting the Sales General Manager involved. In all fairness and for the sake of transparency, the charges were eventually reversed along with the explanation that everyone says something they regret in the heat of the moment. Its my best guess that that was as close to an apology as Ill ever get. Regardless, my final words to both service manager and GM was that Ill never bring my business back here again. Its been said that a word to the wise is sufficient.
If I could give more stars I would. I never thought I would ever see a dealership that was so honest. They did what was best for me instead of doing what was best for them! I am still kinda blown away. Nick Moran was great and I enjoyed his company for the little bit of time I was there. He had me out the door in a certified in just a few short hours. I will be going back and I will be taking my daughter there for her next car...soon. it does help to have your ducks in a row but everything was perfect from beginning to end. HUGE THANKS TO SPITZER 🥳 mary t
Typically, the service at this dealership is stellar. However, this last visit, what disturbed me was that someone, I presume one of the service employees, went through my personal belongings in the back seat of my car. A minor complaint probably but this had me a little shaken up. In any event, the actual service was great.
Even though I ended up purchasing a different vehicle that I am undoubtedly going to be far happier with, I came to the dealership to look at and test drive a truck which was on the website. When I got there and after some searching by various salespersons, I was told that the truck that I saw on the website was actually ordered and yet to be paid for by a customer. If that is the case, the vehicle should either NOT be listed on the website, or it should be tagged with a Pending notification.
Most of my experience was very good. They pulled up my information when I called for the appointment without me having to provide a bunch of info, Everyone I talked to was very personable and friendly, A recall I was not aware of was brought to my attention and handled. The only 2 negatives were that the defective part took overnight to get, but it was not a hardship for me to leave the truck overnight and I was charged for the recall part in addition to the defective part. However, I was issued a credit for the recall part charge. And in the end the bill came to much less than I was quoted, so overall Im happy and the truck is fixed.
Kent Smith called me after my online inquiry of a vehicle. We briefly discussed my needs, the vehicle in question and went over a financial agreement. Kent messaged me back with good news. Spitzer was able to agree to our discussion. Kent called me the morning of our appointment to confirm vehicle was indeed what we were looking for. Upon arrival to dealer, Kent met us outside, have us the keys and said take it for a ride. No hassle, no b.s. Upon our return to the dealership, we finalized our deal with Kent and made the purchase. I would recommend this dealership and Kent Smith to anyone. Thanks to all at Spitzer in Canton, Oh.
I work for a company that has a small fleet of four hd pickup trucks. Every time we take something in there for repair the same thing broke again less than a month later. Head of service was worthless to deal with as he denied every concern I had with their lack of quality service. On top of that, my hub cap came up missing after being serviced there and yet again, you guessed it, they denied it was their fault saying they never even had the tire off. After reviewing the paperwork of the “services completed”, we saw they claimed to have rotated the tires and did an oil change and charged us for it. We went back to them with this and the technician said they NEVER DID ANY OF THOSE THINGS AND THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR IT!!! Someone above the head of service department then finally admitted to their faults and replaced the hub cap. Watch out for these sneaky crooks and make sure they actually did the services you’re being charged for. Would NOT recommend to anyone. That’s just one story of a few we’ve had with bad experiences with them regarding different trucks. I’ve since taken my business elsewhere
It started with the advisor arguing with me about a loaner car, claiming no one does that when in fact several other dealers in the area do. Then I had to call several times to confirm what was wrong with my vehicle and to secure a rental when it was confirmed the repair would take a while and was under warranty. No one could explain to me the actual repair being done. When I picked up the car the advisor didnt even know what they did. Horrible experience with a service department, I would go anywhere but here
Absolute best car buying experience I have ever had. If you are within a two hour drive I would recommend you try these guys out. My salesman was Nicholas Moran and I will tell you it was not the typical manipulative pleading sales pitch that normally happens. He was very knowledgeable on all the cars and catered my deal to me and what I need. Thanks again
Everyone at the dealership were very kind and helpful! For my first time buying a vehicle at a dealership I was blown away of how courteous they were with not being all over me and giving me my space unlike how everyone says car sales man/woman are. I would most definitely return to purchase another vehicle and recommend others to visit Spitzer Chevrolet in North Canton!!
When my windshield wipers stopped working during what was expected to be a 3 day rain event, I was so grateful that the service department at Spitzer Chevrolet in North Canton scheduled me for a service appointment immediately. Driving without operable wipers would have been a safety concern and the associate that answered my call understood that immediately. Dave and the service team got me in and out in about an hour and at no cost to me thanks to my extended warranty. Thank you!!!
Spitzer gets one star only because of my positive experience while recently purchasing a car there. Darren did a phenomenal job making the whole process as smooth as could be expected. Where they really fell short with me was in their service area. I had my car in twice while under warranty; once to investigate a gas cap lever not working, then to have the lever replaced. I also had an issue with the engine light coming on, very intermittently, and when my personal mechanic put on the diagnostic, he deduced that cylinder #2 was misfiring and advised me to take the car back to Spitzer for them to fix. Now, from the beginning, I did not like the attitudes of the Spitzer service workers, particularly those up front at the desk. They never greeted me when I walked in, just let me stand there. I once saw all three, perhaps four of them just staring blearily at their computer screens, not doing anything, ignoring me. When I had the gas cap lever repair done, I wound up in the waiting section probably an hour longer than necessary because the service crew couldnt handle putting my paperwork where it needed to be so that I could be notified it was finished. [EDIT: It still doesnt work right, and I honestly think they chose not to bother with it because the car was still under warranty and they wouldnt make any money off of it.]Today I returned to have the faulty cylinder investigated, and immediately received attitude from the girl at the service desk, barking at me that if the lights not on (which it shouldnt have to be if my mechanic picked up a problem on the diagnostic) then there was nothing they could do, but that they would look into it. Forty-five minutes later, Miss A for Attitude came into the waiting area, said coldly, Here are your keys (in other words, get the hell out of my life) and practically threw them at me. She went on in this scolding tone that no repair could be done without the engine light on to pinpoint where it was needed. Then she just walked out. When I left, not one of the three IDLE service desk people said goodbye or wished me a good day. I turned back, pointed at Miss A, and said, Youd better watch her. Shes got a real attitude. All three were speechless, probably because theyd never been told off before as they should have been.Well, the warrantys done, so theres no reason to go back there for service. Or anything else. And I meant what I said to Miss A and the others. People like me who enable them to pay their bills dont have to put up with that folderol. (Gee, I wonder if anyone in the Spitzer service department is even bright enough to know what that word means?)
Our Equinox had a factory recall on an oxygen sensor so I dropped it off at Spitzer Chevrolet North Canton on Thursday. The check engine light had been on (code P0013, scanned at Auto Zone for free), so I told them that when dropping off and asked for a quote to correct that error, which is replacing two solenoids. They called a few hours later letting me know the recall fix was done and the estimate to correct the error code was $768. I declined that and was told the recall was 100% covered so to just swing by whenever to pick up the car.I had to move some furniture that day, so my wife went over to get the car. She was greeted with a $130 bill... They first told her it was because the fix was a warranty claim and we had to pay a $100 deductible, which I quickly refuted. Then they changed their story to it being a charge to scan the error code, which I did not request. The technician acknowledged I had never requested them to scan my car and adjusted the bill. Joey was great. However, the technician next to Joey was not so great. He continued to berate my wife in front of other customers and techs to the point of her being in tears. She didnt catch his name, probably due to the fact that she was trying not to break down in public. My wife made me promise to not go back to the dealer and make a scene, so after hearing the story, I called and spoke to the service manager to report the verbally abusive technician. The managers response was classic. He claimed he was next to my wife the entire time and never heard anyone speak to her disrespectfully, but he would look into it.So eithera) my wife is making it up (which everyone knows she would not do, nor would a made up story bring her to tears)b) the manager IS the technician who publicly berated her, orc) hes just an idiotI had told myself after my last price gouging at Spitzer Chevrolet North Canton that I would never go back. Now I swear I never will.
The maintenance department is completely trash and unprofessional. They rebuilt my rear-end on my truck and stated it had a 2 year warranty. So after a year and a half I started having problems again and they said the gears are worn. For the most part this vehicle sits and I just started regularly driving it this year which is strange that the gears would be worn if you rebuilt it. After inspection they said they would have to contact GM to see if its covered. I thought that was strange seeing that your shop did the rebuild and not GM but ok. After a week they said they were still waiting so I called GM myself. They said thats between the dealership and I and thats what I expected them to say. I told the maintenance department that and they said they never told me that and they were just waiting on some type of information. What information?? You did the rebuild and its still under warranty!! I recommend everyone avoid this place. This is honestly my second run in with them and wont be a 3rd.
Great service on my 2018 Chevy Traverse...Alexandra Herbert did a great job taking care of getting the service done while we waited on July 19-- from taking in the vehicle to getting it back to us in a timely manner. Everything done well! Highly recommend the service at Spitzer Chevrolet!
The dealership manager Chris told me to go ahead and get my 5 minutes of fame, so here it is. I have bought 2 vehicles from this dealership in the past. I noticed over the years the service department and company in general has went downhill. The final straw was today when my starter went out and I towed the truck I had purchased from them to the dealership for repair, against my better judgement. I found upon the service quote I was being price gouged $370 over what other shops quoted. So I asked to talk to the dealership manager. During this conversation I was disrespected the entire time. Chris called me a liar on the quote I received from another shop, so I put the other shop on speaker and surprise I was not lying at all. I was also told that I was talking back to Chris, which I didnt realize he was in a place of authority over me considering I am not an employee at Spitzer. This was the worst I have ever been treated in person by a business. As a business owner myself I under policies and business, I would of gladly parted ways with a slight discount on the $117 diagnostic or it waived completely, maybe paying a small amount of labor time because I understand nothing is free. But what would this small amount really cost this dealership to possibly save a customer for the future( at least for purchases). All it took was a little professionalism and understanding of the situation. Instead I will never return or have anything good to say about this dealership to any of the community members I interact with everyday.
Kent Smith was my sales guy. Although I have never tried online purchases but am fully content and satisfied with his assistance and professionalism. Even when I thought the deal fell through at the end, upper management was willing to walk the extra mile to deliver the vehicle. My special thank you to Tammy and Chad for driving it down here. You all are making my online purchase as pleasant as it could possibly be. Martin Nguyen.
I was told my car would take 1-2 hours. More than 2 hours went by and I did not receive a call so 30 minutes before they closed I called them. I was told my vehicle was not ready, that the guy working on it left. I was told I could not get a rental or talk to a supervisor because no one was there at 5:30 pm. My husband and I both had to work the next morning. My husband ended up staying home so I could use his vehicle. This is not acceptable.
Took my 2012 Equinox in for a recall on my catalytic converter and they suggested doing a oil consumption test and found that it was burning about 2 quarts per 700 miles. They were able to negotiate the price of the piston and ring job down to $1400. They replaced the catalytic converter for free. It now does not burn any oil. I was very impressed with the service and friendly employees. Definitely would deal with them again. Could not have been any happier.
I am very dissatisfied with the experience we are having with Spitzer Lordstown. We recently bought a car from them and they guaranteed a full detailing and check up before bringing the car to us. However when we received the car it was still very dirty and clearly not detailed. We called the GM and he said they will take the car back and promised a full detailing. It was supposed to take a day to do and a day to dry. When asking when it would be returned they said “hopefully by Monday but enjoy the rental car for now”. The car is for a 16 year old which they are fully aware cannot drive the rental car at that age. It was already an inconvenience to take the car back but now there is clearly no urgency to return it. This service is not impressive and has left me very unsatisfied.
Ive been dealing with Spitzer for almost 20 years now. I always feel at home and the staff is very friendly. Had my oil changed and tires rotated recently. I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Lexi Herbert pointed out that my fuel injectors were clogged and I have scheduled an appointment to have that addressed.
At Spitzer, their world DOES NOT revolve around you.I visited on 11/11 (Veterans Day) and the power was out on the street (no electricity). The sales force were sitting around rather than at least giving the impression that they were busy. A bad look.(Management check your front door video footage on 11/12 at 12:15p.m.)However, I took a test car in a truck that I planned to buy for my daughter. Since the power was out, the sales rep, Maria, said that she would reach out to me the next day 11/12 so that I could purchase the car.Maria gave me her card and told me to text her. When I texted on 11/12, Maria said that she was with customers. She then sent a text 10 minutes later to say that another sales person sold the truck the night before. If customer service was their concern, first thing in the morning the sales person should have CALLED and said: The truck has sold but we have other options for you.... This would have been the professional thing to do.There are so many car buying options in Canton alone to be bothered with people who take your business for granted. With inflation that undoubtedly will impact car sales, the way to stay afloat is to focus on customer service. Its the customer and your attention to detail, that will keep you in business. This is taught in sales principles 101.Please treat your Veterans better.
I kept on being told to wait for a new tire that was in desperate need of a replacement (I gave myself a flat one day).At first, they told me that they had the tire in stock, then they told me that they didnt, and had to order it, and told me that it would be in the next day. It wasnt until I called them back that they told me that the tire that they ordered was finally going to be ready to be installed on my car the following Monday.I ended up having to deal with this issue longer than was necessary, because of a lack of confidence and communication from this dealers service department, thereby causing me to have stress that I didnt need or deserve.I would not recommend this dealer for their service department.Update 1/18/2021: I was able to receive a discount from Ryan, for the hassle that was caused by the tire warehouse supplier that the dealership ordered from, and I received a sincere apology from him about said hassle - the service department has redeemed itself from my previous rating of two stars and my complaint.
Update to review: I would like to give a big thanks to Amanda Hessick for the great way she treated me and made sure my car was safe for my 4 hour trip before Christmas. I have dealt with many managers at this dealership, but Amanda made me truly feel that she cared for my safety and well being. Despite being busy, she greeted me and looked into my vehicle history. I also appreciate Steve, the service tech, for quickly diagnosing and fixing my vehicle. It truly helped make my Christmas better.Original Review:Very helpful with letting you know whats wrong with your vechile and the options you have. The rental rates are very competitive with Hertz, Enterprise, etc. The salesmen are also pretty good and not too pushy. Popcorn is available in the waiting room that house a TV, couch and separate play area for the kids.
We could not have asked for a better experience then we had with Darren. My wife and I went car shopping for over 7 hours before landing at Spitzer and meeting Darren. He went above and beyond for us and got us in the perfect vehicle. We will never deal with anyone else!
Disappointed that since 1-6-2021 I haven’t been able to get a courtesy car wash at the Spitzer Chevy dealership in North Canton as promised when I purchased my new Chevy Treverse I would appreciate vouchers for wherever this dealership is getting their lot vehicles washed. Is this reasonably possible?
I live an hour away and they brought the car to me to test out. The salesman, Darren Putt, was extremely helpful and very informative, and very nice. Ive bought a few cars over the years from different places and this was by far the best experience Ive ever had. I would recommend them to everyone
I took my 2018 Malibu for an oil change, filter changes, wiper blades & tires rotated. Getting it ready for winter months! The lady that helped me was very kind & great customer service. As I was driving my car around I noticed it had a wonderful smell. They had added freshener to the air filters! Great touch!
I’m going to have to go with a one. If I went by the first car purchase, it would have been a 5 star rating but with the second car purchase things went down hill. 17 days after the paperwork was signed I was called and told the bank needed a bunch of paperwork I wasn’t told they needed the day the papers were signed. Then it took forever for my trade to get paid off. A month later I am still waiting on the refund for the extended warranty on my trade and I keep getting the run around. I don’t think I will be buying another vehicle from Spitzer if this is how repeat customers get treated. And yes, I understand that covid is causing delays, but not like this. This is ridiculous. Unfortunately I don’t think they care about ratings or repeat customers so this will fall on deaf ears. But if you are looking for a dealer, I’d go elsewhere.
Took my car in on the 9 the for a antifreeze leek received it back its still leaking. Serviced checked the oil said its not leaking yet did not fix the antifreeze leek. Had mechanic from work look at the spot on the pavement said it was antifreeze and the pan in the front was wet. Now have to take my car back have to make arrangements for a way to work on Tuesday. So disappointed in the customer service I received.
I always take my vehicle to Spitzer, and Ryan is always super helpful. They know my vehicle history, and I have never had any issues, when I have needed maintenance done to my vehicle. The staff is friendly, the environment is very clean, and I feel welcome every time I walk in the doors.
Needless to say, I am posting about a bad experience. I had gone online on Monday (04/27) or Tuesday (04/30) to make an appointment to get the oil changed in my car. First mistake was probably going online but that is the way that the world is going. I was not aware that the service department hours had changed from 8 to 9, so I made my appointment for 8 on the following Saturday. Later I find that their hours had changed to 9, so I figure that is okay, I will go in at 9 instead. I get there about 8:30, look at the door and the sign on the door confirms that their hours on Saturday are showing as 9 - 6. Figure that all is good, so I will wait till they open. 9 comes around and no one is unlocking the door, figure someone may be running late. (Can live with that.) A couple of minutes later a salesman comes strolling around the building and tells me that the service department is closed on Saturday. Get in my car and go home. Needless to say, I am now a disgruntled customer. First off, since they want your phone number and your email address, they could have notified me that they would be closed. THIS THEY DID NOT DO! Had I been notified in some manner, I could have understood and waited. After all, I realize that there are extenuating circumstances right now. Called and spoke to Chris Jones, he did apologize and said that he will look into the automated system, however, can’t be responsible for the sign on the door. My problem — LACK OF COMMUNICATION! If you can’t be bothered with letting me know that the service department is closed, then what else can you not be bothered with telling me? Even if I were in the market for a car, I don’t think that I would trust them enough to buy one from them. Lack of communication can lead to other problems, such as any potential problems with a purchase.
Erin was my service advisor. She greeted me promptly, was well aware of what I needed done, and got it handled efficiently. She walked me through the check out process and to my truck. This was my first time at Spitzer and will definitely be back for future service. Comfortable waiting area and courteous staff, was well pleased!
Kent Smith made our automobile purchase transaction easy and enjoyable. This is the second purchase Kent has handled for us , weve found him to be helpful, fair , reputable , an all around good guy . Highly recommend Kent Smith and Spitzer Chevrolet North Canton, Ohio , they care before and after your purchase.
Customer service is always a question when you walk into any car dealership. I can honestly say that Spitzer is a great place to buy a truck! We didn’t have a great experience at a dealership that someone recommended us, and Spitzer was on our way home. We stopped in just to do one final look, and with in minutes were treated with respect and a sales person who wanted to help us find the right solution for our situation. This is a great team, and have earned lifetime customers!
Do not, I repeat, buy the tire and wheel, I paid 800 dollars for it and dent and ding (I paid 200 for this)warranty! Total for both 1000 dollars. Total ripoff! I bought it and they are trying to charge me 90 dollars just to look at the tire and wheel. I called the warranty company and they said that that has never happened before, that the dealership would charge to take a look at it. Spitzer made money on the sale of the warranty. Then the finance guy said the warranty I paid 200 for Dent and ding was only for the tire. I had to read to him right from the agreement that it was anywhere on the car. So I said I wanted to cancel the warranty and he wanted me to sign a paper he wrote that said that I am cancelling the warranty because I am unhappy with it. I rewrote it to say I am unhappy that Spitzer is trying to charge me to look at it. Takes about 5 minutes to look at tire and wheel and they just lost my and my families business for life.
We were sent a letter stating a type of vehicle would be available for a trade on our excellent used low mileage truck. Since it was a drive for us, and to be sure this wasnt a scam, we called and discussed the letter. Was it worth the drive?Absolutely, we were told to bring in our truck and the letter was legit. They called we talked a second time. They scheduled an appt. We spent time cleaning the truck, and drove the distance . The man we were told would work with us was not available. The vehicle of course we were told was available was not available...which they knew and they didnt have the decency to.call and let us know the conditions changed. Then they sent someone to tell us a different vehicle was available for 5-8,000. More than the price we were quoted. The salesperson made light of our travel that he travels also. Really? Our 1st and last experience with this dealership! Scam it was. Beware.
I live in Virginia and just purchased a used Corvette from this dealership long distance. When I inquired about the vehicle I was immediately contacted by salesman Derrick Perry. From that moment, until the day I went to Ohio to pick up the car, Derrick was a spectacular person to deal with. He accommodated my every request - from photos, to taking it for a presale inspection for me to helping get the car ready for me prior to pick up. He followed up with me promptly which was a huge relief given that I was so far away and could not stop by to talk with him. And perhaps most importantly, the car was exactly in the condition that he represented to me. This is a highly ethical dealership and Derrick Perry is a complete professional and joy to work with. If I could rate him and the dealership higher than 5 stars I would.
Terrible service department, once you buy a car from them then you have to deal with the service department for your routine maintenance. You do not want to deal with their service department worst experience of my life. These guys are scammers liars and worst of all lazy as ever. And when you hold them accountable they want to talk tough like they want to fight you. Save yourself the jail time dont go to this place.
I have been receiving service at another Chevy dealership for a couple of years. On a whim, I made an appointment for an oil change at Spitzer, since it is closer to my new home. I am so satisfied! Everyone was courteous and professional, and the service appointment was quick. Will definitely be using Spitzer for my service needs from now on!
Very unprofessional! Michelle called me and said a Ford Escape is available to look at. We set up a time for me to come look at it. I get there and she hands me off to another sales person. He tries to sell me anything he can and say he heard the Escapes are not very good.I said I am here to see the Escape. He said it is not here. It is being repaired. Thanks for wasting my time!
This time i had a car repair done. The repair didnt take too long, and they set up a rental for me which during covid was much easier than asking for rides or to uber. Proce was reasonable, and the workers were nice and pleasant. Ive been coming to spitzer for my repairs for a couple years because they do a great job.
I talked to Service Assistant Lexi Herbert about a possible issue with my shocks that would be a warranty issue if a defect were found. Problem was not duplicated . I appreciate Spitzer checking into it which brings peace of mind ! Thanks Lexi and Spitzer Team North Canton !
I wasn’t a valued customer . I was charged 300.00 to weld two bolts to something that wasn’t a wear and tear problem but a common issue online . My warranty should have covered this with it being bumper to bumper. The girl didn’t even thank me for my business. Most dealerships vacuum and wash your car as a courtesy. I was told we don’t do that here . I think you could do that for the price I paid, they do at Laria Chevy in rittman . I wanted to go some place closer to home. I was mistaken thinking all dealerships are the same.
Spitzer isnt anything to write home about. Had a few issues that were met with less then satisfactory results. However David Stuart the sales guy I dealt with was exceptional. After buying 3 different cars from different dealers he has definitely been the best. No hassle, very accommodating. Tried his best to help with any issues I had with the dealer. Would recommend you talk to him if you go to Spitzer Chevy.
This company is so incredible I honestly don’t know where to start. They made everything so easy and they were so honest about all of it! No unexplained fine print. No hidden fees. They took the budget we had set in stone and they accepted it! Even lower than what I expected they’d give! And they added free car washes for life!! They certainly earned our business FOREVER!! I will recommend them a thousand times to anyone and everyone wanting to buy a car for a REASONABLE PRICE!!! If I could rate 10 out of 5 stars I would! Adam and John were absolutely fantastic!
Disrespectful.... Today my wife and I tried to turn in our Chevy Equinox that we leased from here, and was denied the ability to turn in it. This was our 3rd lease from this dealership. My wife called into the dealer last week to confirm that we could turn it in early, and she was told to stop by anytime, no appointment required. We drove all the way from massillon this morning only to be told to come back on another day. I attempted to reason with the manager JR explaining we drove all the way here, and that I had 2 small children crying outside in my wifes vehicle. It would be very hard for us to do this during the week I explained. The manager turns and looks out the window and said, why dont you go take it to progressive where you got that vehicle. He was referring to my wifes new jeep we bought. He went on to say they just dont take turn in leases on Saturdays and that it was dealer discretion. Needless to say I left very angry and frustrated. I called Progressive Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram on Hills and Dales road, and I asked if I could turn in a lease today. They said sure come on down. We were able to get right in, signed two papers, and then we left. I even received a follow up call a few hours later asking if my lease turn in went smooth. I decided to call the Spitzer dealer to see if the GM could provide a reason for such bad service. You could guess the outcome. Chris the GM was not apologetic and referenced my wife and crying kids saying they didnt matter to him. He tried to tell me that it was a dealer policy that they dont take lease turn ins on Saturdays. I asked if they had that policy written down to see, and he said, I dont need it wrote down its my dealership. They flat out refused to provide me any service and I do not recommend any one buying from them. They will only be nice to you if you are buying!
I had a really bad experience going to spitzer. I called them before I brought my 2012 chevy Silverado to there location. All I wanted was a key fob that would work my remote starter. I told them that was reason for me bringing it in. The staff that I was dealing with told me no problem. So I waited for them to program my key fob about 45m later lady came to get me out lobby to tell me truck was done. She gave me my key and charged me 140 bucks for a key fob so as I go to my truck I tried to use remote starter nothing. So keep in mind never had a engine light on since I had truck. The tech said thats only thing that could be wrong is its not working cause of a engine light. The tech plugs his computer in and tell me I need to replace o2 sensor in order to get remote starter to work. Im like wat my truck never had this problem. Basically he pulled some old history up on my truck that was fixed longtime ago had nothing to do with now. I could have programmed my own key fob with a universal for 25 bucks. So they never solve my problem tech told me never comeback. All I wanted is for remote starter to work. When I brought truck they should have told me before doing work period.
Yesterday I put a battery in my 2016 Chevy Silverado I purchased in Hawaii and shipped to Ohio. After I put the battery in my power steering no longer worked. I called spitzer next day and they got me in within 30 minutes. They diagnosed and fixed the problem with in two hours and it was covered under my warranty free of cost. I am so happy they helped me so quickly and fixed my problem on my truck I didnt even buy there. I highly recommend the service department.
This entire experience of purchasing a car was made so easy! My salesman, Jeremiah, was very knowledgeable about the product, purchase options, trade in, and every other question I had. When I went to look, I had no idea if I should buy or lease or trade in my current car or sell it. I didnt even know what vehicle I may be interested in. He spent a lot of time answering all of my questions and helping me make the best decision for my situation. The finance team was willing to help me find the best deal and any other discount that I may have qualified for. The staff exceeded my expectations! Most of all the entire process was completely pressure free. Jeremiah has followed up to make sure everything is going fine and that I dont have any additional questions or concerns. It was a great experience and I will be telling everyone I know.
Worst service experience I have ever had. I have never purchased a car from this dealership and don’t plan on it either. I did however have my Cruze serviced here and it was a nightmare. The car came back to me with 2 dents in it they refused to repair. The work consisted of valve cover gasket replacement, torque converter seal replacement and oil pan gasket replacement. In addition to the dents, the car came back with multiple bolts/fasteners loose. I was able to find out that this was the issue when I went to another Chevy dealership who I will be going to regularly from here on out. Ever since getting my car back it has been nothing but issues with the areas the worked on. I also believe that members of the staff are possibly prejudice because of my skin color, because I can’t think or see of any other reason for them to have done such a botched repair. It was as if my repair didn’t matter. Now I’m expected to deal with their damages.
Bought a 2017 Chevy Trax last night! Could not be happier with my experience at Spitzer! Mike and Nick worked wonderfully together to get me a deal I felt completely comfortable with! Rather than up selling me to the next model, they showed me I could save money by adding features after market and still get everything I wanted! The entire process from start to finish took roughly 2 hours! Ive purchased a lot of cars where it took no less than 4 or 5 hours of hard selling (which is so stressful)! Mike and Nick kept everything light and upbeat. I had a truly stress free car buying experience! What more could you ask for?!We will definitely deal with Spitzer Chevy when we look for a new truck for my husband.
Buyers beware! Purchased a certified used Ford Explorer with seemingly no issues, low and behold just a month later the entire car started falling apart. The technicians failed to properly fix the vehicle multiple times, forcing us to drive the 4 hr round trip to pick up a “fixed” car. Now this time, less than 9 months later the car is acting up again, and we come to find out that there are junkyard parts on my certified vehicle! This vehicle is a complete lemon, the dealership is a fraud and refuses to fix anything. Our extended service plan allows us a rental but lo and behold they won’t give us a vehicle because we are out of state, which would have been nice to know before we purchased the service plan and wasted that money as well which was a scam. The staff has a high turnover so the minute you get anywhere with one person, they are gone the next day. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.
My experience was awesome. The two sales representatives, Jordan and Sarah, were very easy to work with and made the ride through my purchase bump free. Their knowledge and expertise made it a breeze to choose the right vehicle, agree upon the right way to finance, and leave the dealership that day a happy driver. On the financial side, Mike was able to get me through the paperwork swimmingly as we talked about the Browns future and rocky past. Then, finally, there was Josie who took my down payment at the cashiers window.Everyone involved reached out to make sure that my entire experience went without a hitch.Thank you very much for helping me acquire my new automobile!
This dealership does not stand by their word at all. I drove 2 hours away after Jason (a salesman) from there agreed to pay 12,000 for my jeep and had already told him that the tires needed replaced. First, he wasnt even there for my appointment time, second he didnt even offer me close to what was offered to me over the phone ! Do not buy a car from here, they are awful!!!!
We had not purchased a new vehicle for 10 years, so it was a bit overwhelming to make such a big decision. Kent Smith from Spitzer Chevrolet to the rescue! Kent helped us navigate the process and we are now the owners of a really fine 2018 Chevy Equinox. Great automobile with nice features.
Our experience at Spitzer North Canton was a pleasure, all of the staff were friendly and attentive. We would like to thank Nick Moran for going above and beyond to make sure We were happy and had a positive experience. I recommend you give them your business and ask for Nick.
If only I could share evidence of the GM stating he no longer wanted to address issues with my brand new truck. They damaged my truck, sent it to a subpar body shop who have yet to fix the issue. I am 10 months in on this process. Top it off, after damaging the clear coat and waiting 6 months they marked my truck as damaged on Carfax. Horrible experience with no willingness for staff or corporate to address this issue.
Dan and Jen took great care of me. Mike in finance did the same. Dan was very patient as I worked through all my options. When I figured out what I wanted, the staff got busy and made it happen. They went above and beyond to help me with questions and a few requests I made. I highly recommend to anyone looking to buy to check in with North Canton Spitzer Chevy!! Thanks
The whole lease experience my wife and I had was not great at all. From the sale the salesman was not trained in how the process went to sell a car and we ended up spending the whole night completing the lease. I understand everyone I new at some point but maybe have the newer salespeople shadow the veterans early on so they can learn more effectively. Then the lease turn in. We were told multiple times different stories of why they “dont have time” to take care of us. This company does not care about you after the sale. On the final call after hearing yet another story they told us that “new sales take precedence”. And “you can turn it in at any Chevy dealership”. Classic pass the buck. A note for management if you read these. Why would you not have your staff asking lease turn ins if they are interested in a new Chevy? Not once did any of them ask this. Don’t you know your easiest sales are the ones you have already sold to? Just a very unprofessional experience from start to finish.
Horrible customer service. I used the chat service to speak to customer service about a Honda truck that was advertised. The chat service indicated the truck was still for sale and I setup an appointment. I called the next morning and talked to a REAL person in customer service and she also indicated the truck was for sale and confirmed my appointment. I wanted to make sure since I was more than an hour away. I drove out only to find out the truck was sold the afternoon before. What was their response??? Sorry, this happens. NO IT DOES NOT!!! Dealers that value their customers would have actually CHECKED the inventory that morning and saved me a trip!!Do not go here if you want any type of good customer service. General manager didnt care and said that is the way it is.
I would not recommend this dealer. They made errors (admittedly) the day I bought my truck and then they called a week or so later saying they needed me to come in and sign because they found additional errors. When I went in to sign they changed the terms on me. Not a great customer experience. They have yet to straighten out the terms. Go somewhere where the focus is on the customer. Youd think after being in business for so many years Spitzer would be able to write up a contract right the first time. Youd be wrong. Go somewhere else where you might be treated respectfully. These guys are scammers. Dishonest. No integrity. We got screwed.
We were looking to trade in our car and buy another one and they had exactly what we needed. The employees were very helpful, considerate, and friendly. The process was quick and painless. We would definately recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a car and we will definately go back to them when we need another vehicle. Thanks Scott and Brian!
Spitzer is a very clever car dealership. They know how to take complete advantage of a family while legally keeping their hands clean. My family and I have endured much stress and wasted many hours with this dealership getting pushed around and cornered with a smile. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. No matter how good of a deal Spitzer may have, walk away, it is not worth the trouble. If one did still feel compelled to purchase a vehicle from this dealership I would recommend you have someone that you trust present with you who is familiar with the legal language and car buying experience to protect and inform you.
The sales department is fantastic. The service department has poor customer service and the inability to correct the issues. Every visit we have had required at least two visits. The last four visits we had resulted in us having the vehicle returned with no repairs. The exact terms were it appears to be an intermittent issue, and until it does it again, there is nothing we can do. We are forced to take our vehicle to this service department due to the warranty, and it appears the service team is aware of that and unwilling to repair our vehicle accurately. We picked up the vehicle again today and will have to return it when it acts up yet again. This will be the third time. If I could give a zero rating, I would.
Chris and Dave were great. I was really stressed because the nature of my previous car was that I had to make a move rather than have time to contemplate a next car. they put me at ease immediately. I love the new equinox and so does my wife but especially my 7 year old. seeing his reaction to the first new car in his young life has been awesome to watch. Mike in Finance was great too.
If I could give this place lower than 1 star, I would. They dont care about helping you out, they just care about their commission. I went to return my lease, which was a Sonic (not leased from them), as a trade in for a new vehicle to hopefully get into a car with less monthly payments. They told me I was over my lease miles, though that wasnt so bad in and of itself, but then they didnt even help buy out the lease. They gave me $800 which was 4 payments, and I still owed money on a vehicle I didnt even have anymore after that was used up.This was all back in the second weekend of November, last year. But, you know, they kind of kept drumming into my head that I was over my miles on the current lease and I should get into a car that day, so they pretty much shoved me into a car I didnt even want, with a monthly payment I wasnt happy with. Why didnt I just leave if I wasnt happy? Simple answer is anxiety. I felt like I needed to get the car because I needed a car. I felt taken advantage of. When I went back the next day, I was pretty much told to just deal with it. So not only did I get a car I didnt want for even MORE money a month, but I had two cars I was paying on now because they did NOT buy out the lease contract. I had to use my income tax to pay the rest of the trade in off. So I figure Im done with traded in Sonic, right? Oh boy you could not be MORE wrong. I knew the car had a few minor cosmetic issues to be sorted out before they sold it. But they didnt even have Ally Auto take pictures of the vehicle till April of THIS year, and they were trying to tell me that all the dings on the car from the pictures was on there when I gave it to them. They were not. So Ally was hounding me for $900 to pay for damages on a car I no longer owned, for damages that were not on that vehicle at the time I traded it in.Not only that, but they sold me the 2017 Chevrolet Spark for WAAAAAAYY more than its worth. Its maybe only worth $12-$13k when they sold it to me for $20k. So Im upside down on the car before I even drove it off the lot. Because they sold it to me for way more than its worth, I cant get rid of it because no one wants a car that has that much negative equity attached to it, and no bank is going to touch me until that negative equity is gone. So now Im forced to move back into my moms house, because I cant afford to live on my own with the amount of money I have coming in versus what I have coming out. Its humiliating, and I will never EVER be going through Spitzer again, and I dont recommend anyone else does either. They dont care about you, and they dont work with you. If they can skin you alive while making some coin, thats all that matters to them.
I was disappointed, they said they offer a first responders discount, then came back with the same price, which they then offered to drop by $500 then $1000, It was insulting to say the least. They also have every salesperson within earshot trying to influence your deal. I mentioned another dealerships pricing and a salesperson nearby immediately looked to see what they had to offer. My sister and I both have a mid 700s credit score. Waikem does way better deals and they honor the first responders discount.
Emailed Spitzer at least 5 times, with one response. The car I wanted sat on their lot for almost a week as I tried to get responses. Then of course the car sold, and THEN the have the audacity to email me several times about my experience. Let me tell you how it was, awful.
I had to have two of my cars in this week for major service (not due to the car) and dealt with the Service Assistant Manager Lou Ann Kemp. I felt VERY good about how I was treated and how she helped me to understand. I also do not feel that I was ripped off or over paid. I bought my last car from Spitzer and will most likely buy my next car from them after this experience. You have made a good hiring choice in Lou Ann.
I would just like to say that this was my first time buying a car, and Im so glad we chose Spitzer. As soon as we arrived Dave came up to greet us and was very friendly. I was so nervous, but he didnt make me feel intimidated at all especially when we went on a test drive and him and my husband started cracking jokes. He really made it feel like he wasnt just trying to sell us a car, like he truly did care and I think thats a big part of what made the experience so great! I would absolutely recommend any one of my friends or family to buy from them, in fact I already have! Well all in all we have a great experience, and will definitely be returning for our future vehicles. Thanks again!
My $9.95 oil change was scheduled for 11 am. I was early. Greeted nicely by a young lady who then proceeded to tell me that my air filter would be $35.95. Then stated that the cars maintenance was not up to date when I got it and that I needed some kind of injection/fuel system cleaning that would be another $127.00. I nixed that immediately. Dont know why when I bought it in October was not up to date. I asked her to have someone look at the front left tire and assess if it had a leak or if the sensor was bad because when changed from hot to cold, air pressure light was on and when put air in was ok then couple days later it was on again and too much. Was told they looked at it, tire had puncture and that cost me another $26.95 TO FIX A TIRE?? So ended up my $9.95 oil change cost me $94.93 ---2 hours later. so wont be back for that again. It cost me less for run-through oil change at Pennzoil. I called my gas station and could have gotten tire fixed for $6.00.While we are at it, I was not happy with my purchase experience. I brought in a 2008 equinox in very good condition (I take good care of my vehicles). I asked the salesman if you were paying off my car and he said yes. Now dont tell me he didnt know I was asking if the car loan left was being paid off. I did purchase extended warrenty so when paperwork was signed, I assumed it was the extras. It was NOT pointed out that I assumed $1500 of my loan on the 2008 equinox. Sooooo, I will not be purchasing another vehicle from you. Nor will I be recommending you. I came because my son recommended you and had a good experience with you. Hes not overly happy with you now either.Arent you glad you asked???????? And you definitely have my consent to publish this review!!!!
I called to make the appointment the Friday before my Tuesday appointment at 8:00 a.m. When I called, I asked the scheduling person if I would be finished early enough to make it to an appointment in Belden Village at 9:30. She assured me I would, suggesting that I might want to mention to the service team that I have an appointment.Tuesday morning, I arrived at 7:55. The assistant service manager, Dereck, asked if I wanted to include an engine air filter as part of the service. I agreed. He then asked about the cabin air filter, and I asked how frequently the service was recommended. He said that it was recommended every 30,000 miles, and the really important filter was the one for the engine. I declined the cabin air filter. At approximately 8:45, Dereck came into the waiting area with the cabin air filter. he informed me that the recommended interval was actually 25,000 miles rather than the 30,000 he mentioned earlier. He showed me the filter, which looked very dirty, and asked me if I wanted to have it replaced for $50. I again declined. At 9:10 a.m., I asked if my car was likely to be ready soon because of the appointment I mentioned when I scheduled the service. They said it wasnt ready yet, but it would be ready very soon. I asked if I could at least pay so that I could leave as soon as it was finished, and Dereck said he couldnt make the transaction until other things had been completed in the system.I mentioned that whomever scheduled the appointment assured me I would be finished in time for the 9:30 appointment, and - while I had forgotten to mention it when checking in - this simply signals to me that I have to tell Spitzer something twice before I can get the level of service they assured me I would receive.I didnt have the opportunity to even pay for the services rendered until 9:30, and my vehicle wasnt ready until 15 minutes after that. In addition, I overheard the service manager mentioning to Dereck that there was additional delay because it took some extra time to remove and re-install the cabin air filter that I was not interested in replacing.I was 30 minutes late to the meeting I had planned, and I lost the client. To top it all off, I noticed the check-engine light was on as I pulled up to the meeting. As a result, I had to take my vehicle back to Spitzer to determine what the problem was. It turned out to be an improperly-seated mass airflow sensor, which they were able to take care of. However, this cost me another 45 minutes in what was already an unproductive and loss-ridden day.
Service Manager will promise you he will call and fix problems with service and staff. He never called. Also you will be charged for things you never were told about. Even if you have proof of this. They will still make you pay. Their mechanics will always tell you that they cant reproduce the problem but still charge you tons of money to look at it. Also, if you agree to have the vehicle fixed, they will not waive their diagnostic fees like most other repair shops. GO TO SCHOONER in Hartville if you want your vehicle fixed right the first time. Save yourself a headache, and poor quality.Update: 4 - 5 weeks from initial review. Blaise, the service manager reached out to me and after extensive talks, really tried to help resolve the issue. We were able to get the problem fixed on the truck, and he seemed to care about my input regarding service quality improvements.Changed from 1 star to 3 stars.
I had previously bought a car at the dealership, and went back looking for a good deal on another vehicle. Bottom Line: They not only didnt work with me on the price of the vehicle, but the sales manager came over to the table with the sales associate when I was negotiating with my wife for a lower price, and was standing near us (hes a taller man) and raised his voice in an intimidation tactic to try to convince us?? That this was a good deal and we would never get a better deal.He told me, Youll never get a better deal than this deal.... well.....I ended up buying an identical vehicle at Ganley Chevorlet on Brookpark road for literally thousands less.... thousands - exact same vehicle.I was very disappointed on both the actions of the sales manager, as a grown man, I know intimidation tactics when I see them. The sales associate just sat there with her head down as I called out the sales manager for shouting at me... (he didnt believe standing above us and raising his voice was shouting).I wouldnt recommend anyone going to this dealership based on this experience, and I regret that I have a Spitzer tag on my other car.Perhaps Ill have it removed to make sure people dont thing its a good idea to visit this establishment.
We had a wonderful experience at Spitzer! We were visiting family from North Carolina due to Hurricane Dorian and traveling in a Toyota Carolla with 2 kids and 3 dogs was not ideal. We wanted a bigger car so desperately for our family and they did an amazing job listening to our concerns about payments. We walked away with an older Chevy Traverse(2015) and we couldnt be happier with our purchase. We will definitely be coming back! They truly care about their clients and treat them as family. Scott Vipper and his brother were truly welcoming. Thank you Spitzer!
I went to lease a car from them Where there’s and offer on their website saying “2018 Chevrolet Equinox 199 a month for 24 month $0 due at signing”, I got the car but they sign me in for 36 month rather than 24 month and they didn’t mention that there will be any changes on the lease term I only asked for higher miles and that’s why I’m paying $230 a month but they lied and that broke the trust between me and the dealer I wished they told me that they would change the lease term! I went to talk to the manger he didn’t help me at all and he started to give excuses but I’m stuck in this contract for 36 month and I liked the offer because it was only two years!!! Disappointed
Sold me a truck in April with a damaged roof the truck was to tallto fit into there car wash, the porter damaged the roof but they soldit that way truck has a six inch lift so I did think to look at the roofafter I noticed it while washing it I contacted the dealer not knowing a fewmonths later I would meet the previous owner whom explained to me what they had done. they fixed it poorly and I had to take it to a real body shop for proper repair they did pay for some and made me pay the restthey owe me money knowing what they had donethe owner needs to make restitution
Bought a used 2005 Aveo with about 43,000 miles. Spitzer has a 3000 mi/30 day warranty. While under warranty, I took the car in because I started to hear a strange, oscillating hum under the hood that didnt sound quite right. The service department said it was fine and there werent any issues. After 30 days I took it to Firestone for a service and oil change and they told me the alternator may be going bad and the serpentine belt has a crack in it which is causing the engine to run loud. Everyone seemed nice, but now I feel like I was screwed. I do not have a good impression of Spitzer in North Canton.
I was able to purchase a 2011 low mileage Chevy Cruze even though my credit score was not as stellar as it should have been. I was very impressed with salesman Mike Shaheen. His candor was refreshing, and his professionalism and low-key approach to salesmanship exceeded my expectations. He made sure the payments were as close to my budgeted needs as possible and my wife and I were both very pleased with the buying experience. We will certainly recommend Spitzer to all our friends, and look forward to an ongoing relationship with Spitzer Auto.
By far the worst car buying experience Ive ever had. We did end up buying a vehicle from Spitzer but would never do so again. I could write pages about how bad our experience was but Ill sum it up. They wasted our time, lied to us, and the sales manager was very rude. Our vehicle was supposed to be certified but they simply rushed through the process and marked it certified. They caused a couple issues Ive had by putting different size tires on it and by using after market parts to do a repair, which is not allowed on a GM Certified vehicle. When I tried to resolve these issues with them I ended up talking to the sales manager who would rather argue and make excuses than help. Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation and go somewhere else.
I went to Spitzer on Saturday 7/28/2018 and was greeted by a nice enough man a few minutes after I walked who advised he would get one of his employees to help me. The salesman was awful. He was not helpful, knowledgeable or comfortable to speak with. He clearly had zero interest in selling me a vehicle. I left and went to a dealership in Stow (Marhofer Chevrolet) and the difference between the two was night and day!! I went home from the other dealership with a brand new 2018 Chevy Equinox LT and couldnt be happier. Thanks for NOTHING Spitzer! Your loss.
Brought my van in for an alignment, I was quoted $110. They added something like $12 to the bill for some ridiculous shop fees. PaId the bill and was about to leave when the car wash guy came out to the parking lot and asked if I would like to have a car wash, I accepted. The service writer would have let me leave with a dirty car.
There are plenty of other Chevy dealers in the area that are not only more conveniently located but more willing to go the extra mile for you. Dont be fooled by the we do business differently talk that they give, its just a phrase they say. Nothings different and their treatment of you is solely based off of if you look likely to buy a car or not.Try another dealership altogether.
I got my 1st car from Spitzer when I was 19 and loved the service so much that I came back 7 YEARS LATER to purchase another one. I just bought a new 2015 chevy Malibu and I love it!!!! I want to give a special thank you to Tonya in sales, I live in South Carolina and she help me find the perfect vehicle all the way in Ohio. When I was leaving spritzer not only did I gain a brand new car but I also gained a friend. Thanks Tonya!!!!!!
Tried too look at a used car from Spitzer North Canton and was given the run around by their sales dept.and horrible follow up, so I went to another dealership where the sale people responded in a timely, professional manor. If you want poor customer sales service then go to Spitzer Chevy in North Canton.
I needed an oil change and brake inspection on my 2013 Cruse. Spitzer found a faulty caliper I had suspected, along with several other items needing repair. I had purchased an extended service contract at Spitzer on this car. The warranty saved me several hundred dollars. This was the second time I used the service contract to save over $1700.00 on repairs. Thank you Spitzer and GM.
Clayton was our sales rep and he was very knowledgeable about how to achieve our goal. He took his time and explained all the in and outs of each vehicle and what would fit our needs. He is a very nice and kind person. He even stayed way after his time to leave. I offered to come back the next day but he said it was okay. Thank you Clayton for a great experience!
Went in for a transmission fluid change and now i have to get a starter, my car went in decent and came out not able to start when i picked it up, had to go to my mechanic to get my starter changed and neither the mechanic nor the advisor would offer any other help, $186 turned into $350 transmission fluid change. Wont be going back there
I always had good service here but when I took my wife car to be looked at they called me hours later and said that I had to pay for additional hour for them to keep looking for the problem. Here the whole time the problem was the battery that wouldnt let my wife car starts ! There was water in the trunk around the battery. They said they didnt see how the water got around the battery , they had to replace the cable to the battery! After everything was done .We went to pick the car up, then drove it to my dads house so we could look and see how the water got into the trunk . To my surprise water was still in the trunk and they never cleaned it out around the battery. me and my dad got the shop vac, towels out and clean up the water all around and under the battery , later we found how the water got in !! On the bottom of the back of the window that meet the truck there wasnt a weather strip to stop water from getting in , it was just a big gap for water to just go right into the truck !! So I paid almost 3 hundred for then to take more then 2 hours to find the problem to why my wife car wouldnt start..... Now I was working , my wife works 5 minutes from them .so I had her call a tow truck , to have them look at it ....or I would of found the problem myself because that the first thing you look at when your car wont start !! So tell me how a Certified mechanic couldnt find the problem in the first hour ? Then not clean up the water around the battery ?? Funny thing is my dad , brother, me all bought our cars from them , we always had good work done here ! I dont know if I want to ever go back to them ....
After searching many months for a vehicle, I finally found the identical one I’ve been wanting at spitzer. Not only did I drive two hours to Ohio, but I also walked in with a set price in my mind & cash. Scott, Dave, Brian & JR all worked with me until they could find a price that worked for all of us. I tradedMy Chevy truck for a used Ford Escape. Woke up this morning with no regrets. I love my new Car! Thank you all for your help!!!
I was leaving on a 3.5hr trip when my tire blew out of no where on the I77 just before the Akron airport. Thankfully, I kept with runflats the last tire change and was able to drive to Spitzer.Blaise immediately fit me in and got a diagnosis on my tire. He offered options given my circumstances and was able to get a rental car for me within minutes so I could resume my trip. He ordered the tire which came from a few states away. The car was all ready in a few days. All of the fees were calculated correctly utilizing the road hazard I had purchased for this tire and a low rate for 4 days of rental. Things went super smooth during this stressful time for me. Ive been coming here for 3 years, but now its time to move for job reasons. Blaise and Ryan (tech) have taken care of my z06 these 3 years whenever I came by.
As of now, I have to leave this as a 1 star review at 1 star (it doesnt let you leave 0 stars)Instead of leaving the lengthy review I left before, Ill just suffice to say after months of trying to get something addressed, the only thing addressed was basically according to them that I was unhappy and had no right to leave a bad review or complain about itJust an all around bad experience which their attempts to address, avoid, or dismiss my concerns flatly confirmed in my mind the following statement from my original review...100% without a doubt the worst place I ever bought a car. So bad theyve turned this Chevy guy away from ever buying another GM product EVER.A customer should NEVER be brought into the GMs office and treated like a high school kid who just got caught smoking in the bathroom because he has a genuine concern about the certified pre-owned car he purchased or how he has been treated by the dealer who sold it to him.Why would we want to address an issue you have with your vehicle if you left us a bad reviewBecause Im the customer with a warranty and a bad experience and youre the GM. Thats why.Ill be taking my business to someone who isnt named Spitzer and doesnt sell Chevy vehicles. You apparently dont want it. Stop treating customers like they owe you their business instead of them deserving you doing your job and EARNING IT.Update November of 2018. I traded in the dumpster fire of garbage I purchased from Spitzer and bought a Honda CRV from Park/Serra Honda in Akron and it’s 100% amazing and wonderful. None of the problems I had from Spitzer. BTW, they checked and the engine was bad in the equinox and it was blatantly obvious, Spitzer just didn’t want to honor the warranty as it was likely a lemon and not really a certified warranty car as they sold it as.
Many thanks to Adam and all of his hard work helping me purchase a new vehicle. He was very knowledgeable about the different makes and models and their benefits and I couldnt be more thankful! They went above and beyond to get me into a new car and I would recommend Adam and this dealership to anyone!
Scott made sure I had an excellent experience at Spitzer Chevy in North Canton. I had previously owned a 2010 Chevy Equinox that I had bought used several years ago which I really enjoyed driving. This time I wanted to get into a brand new car, so I test drove the Trax, thinking that was all that I could swing financially. I didnt really think that the Trax was the car for me, so I thought that I would have to buy another used Equinox that already had considerable mileage since that is the type of car that I really wanted. Scott went over different financing options if I were to buy a brand new Equinox, and I found that I would be able to afford the car that I really wanted to drive. He made sure I was able to find one with the exact features and even the color that I was hoping to find. I am now enjoying my new Equinox thanks to Scott, and I would highly recommend him if I knew anyone who was in the market for a new car.
If I could give a 0 star rating i would.Just to let everyone know what happened to me this week my wifes car was over heating so I took it back to the dealership thinking it was under warranty found out it was not but on top of that they said the cooling fan was bad and wanted over $700 to fix it l didnt think that sounded right so I got a second opinion and in the end it was just a thermostat yes so I took it home and got the part and fixed it myself.and after that I went and confronted the dealership and videoed it they had little to say and just instead that I leave or they was calling the police l told them go head LoL in the end l just left before that happened just had to let them know l knew they lied so in the end.my car is fixed and I wont be doing business with spitzer Chevrolet ever again and I wouldnt recommend anyone going there a bunch of greedy and dishonest people that apparently get off on screwing people that are already struggling its sad to know l ever put my trust in them rant over.
I would give it no stars, if I could! I took my car in and they told me they was completely booked until Monday but I could drop my car off on Friday. They rushed on my car and all of a sudden I heard from them a few hours later Friday. They told me I needed a new battery (my car tells me when my battery is going bad and I never got that notification) they also said I had a bad wheel bearing, so they replaced the one side bearing but broke my abs speed sensor. Since they couldnt get my insurance to cover the sensor, they called and told me they broke the sensor changing the bearing but I have to pay to get it replaced. Then they charge my credit card almost $900 instead of almost $400 and everyone acts like I broke the sensor and charged the wrong amount. Then not to mention when I get in my car my drivers side front and pass side rear tires needed air, my oil life was at 40%, my gas gauge was not where it was when I dropped it off. Service is just horrible they didnt even wash my car. My daughter has a Mazda and they washed her car and topped it off as a customer curtesy. I know I will not go to spitzer for my car to get serviced OR to get a new car!!
We didnt set out to get a new vehicle the day we ended up at Spitzer, but due to circumstances with our present vehicle it became necessary. Adam went above and beyond to help us through this unexpected situation and explored many options until we found the right vehicle to fit our needs and budget. I cant thank Adam and the team at Spitzer Chevrolet enough for making this a great experience.
Cosigned for a family member on an auto loan, my only condition was the dealer and underwriter not share my personal information with anyone outside the dealership or underwriter. Despite hand writing these instructions on the contracts and both entities accepting the terms, that information was shared with other business partners who in turn released it to others. All this after raising this concern with the sales manager and being assured the terms would be honored.I’ve been called, mailed and emailed with dozens of unwanted offers for the last year, all traceable back to this transaction. Obviously personal privacy rights are not a concern taken seriously, otherwise their data entry systems would accommodate such conditions and the information would never have been shared or sold off. There’s not enough integrity in business and financing anymore! All other terms and conditions were honored, which I why they get 2 stars.
I almost bought a car two days prior at a dealership in my hometown. I loved the vehicle but the customer service was lacking. I called a few other dealerships and they all wanted me to come in before they would answer any questions.I was working online with a rep, April Erikson, asking her about a vehicle. She had Nick Sipe reach out to me within 10 minutes. I hit It off with nick right away. He was straightforward, direct and answered all of my questions over the phone. I liked the vehicle and purchased within an hour or so. April followed up with me to make sure I was taken care of.Communication and honesty is what it all about. Nick Sipe was both and very personable. I am glad I bought a car from Spitzer and look forward to future interactions. I never typically buy an extended warranty but I bought one knowing that nick will go to bat for me if I have any issues.
I Bought a brand new camaro one year ago and since it’s seen the service department more than my driveway approximately 10 visits and three months down time (some of which I didn’t receive paperwork because of whatever runaround reason they game me that day) . The gm is in a meeting 24 hours a day the company’s lemon law experts explanation was that it was “above his pay grade” so from my understanding of the process and my car going through the process (sub-par at best thanks to “out of my pay grade” head service writer) and unforgivable trust led to a conscious-less negligent salesman that sold me ANOTHER CAR a week later they called me up to come get my other car... so long horror story short spitzer chevys lack of professionalism And Borderline fraudulent actions have led to unfathomable financial termoil.
GO ANYWHERE ELSE if you have to buy a Chevy. You have been warned! How that bunch of incompetent losers stay in business is a wonder. Your charged for things, then you say you dont want and huh the price is the same. Hounded me for a week to come in so I made appt for Sat.,get there but vehicle wasnt but you can test this more expensive model or come back and waste more time tomorrow. IveIbeen waiting over 4 wks for copies of the paperwork. Told was sent to main office .they know nothing .Cant give no stars. Wife was looking at Traxs. Both are going back to Ford. Advertise customer satisfaction. Wont get it at that place. The wrote the book on car salesman. UPDATE!!! After several calls to main office finally talked to someone that helped with cancelling gap insurance that I did 2 days after the purchase. I was told that they never bothered because they didnt want a charge back. So much for the customer .Wife was stuck on a Trax which we just puchased. BUT NOT FROM HERE!
Spitzer bought my truck and advised they would have my check to me within 3 days. After 1 week I stopped in to see why it had not come yet and they told me it had not even been written yet. They told me it would be there the next day but it was not there at the time they said it would be. Do not sell a vehicle to Spitzer if you want your money within a reasonable time.
Gave me a good deal on trade in, scott R. Got us into a new equinox , for a good payment that worked for us. Scott R is probably the best car sales man i have dealt with. Rest of staff very kind and courteous. I reccomend spitzer for a car purchase. 2nd vehicle i have bought from spitzer
I was about 10 minutes early my appointment was at 7:30 am but after a few minutes someone let me in. I was told that the service men didnt get in until 8:00 am. I told them it was okay I didnt have any urgent plans for that day. They were very pleasant with a smile and asked me what was my name and what I was getting done today. They took my information asked if I had any questions and escorted me to the waiting area. The atmosphere was very lively, the music was good and had big screen TV. While I waited It was like the whole staff that was working that day was very interested in me. They came up to me introduce themselves with a smile and very pleasant and stated if I have any questions to let them know, I did have questions and they did answered them. Only thing was missing no coffee, sodas or water was offer. But, I still felt like a V.I.P. thanks so much!
Everyone at Spitzer Chevy North Canton worked as hard as they could to get me into a new truck. Especially Jim Maloney (sales) This sales department has always taken care of my wife and myself whenever we look to purchase a new vehicle. They take the time to help with sales and finance. Thanks for a great experience.
Have purchased three vechicles from spitzer and driven them for many years each. The staff is friendly and supportive however prices dont have much if any wiggle room. Not the place i would recommend if your trying to negotiate discounts. That said the prices up front are fair on most used vechicles so i personally never felt ripped off on any purchase.
Todd Younkin is extremely knowledgeable about the products and knows them inside and out. He does his best to make the buying process as easy as possible, and is very upfront and honest. He also takes the time to address any issues you may have after the sale. I highly recommend Todd to anyone looking to buy a car.
I bought a volt in Cleveland because no place in Canton it automatically has the tools for electric cars. And no one is asking about them. Thats what they told me anyways. In other words, they are to cheap to buy the DC combo charger for the Bolt. I guess they never thought that people dont ask them about EVs because they know they dont have any. The service dept does their job. Pretty quickly too.
We purchased our new chevy here 2 years ago. It was the FIRST time in FOURTY YEARS of car buying that I did NOT get upset or feel that I had been cheated. I got a FAIR price for my trade and FAIR deal on the new purchase. That was all I ever wanted and I got just that. Did not think it was possible, but it happened. Service is quick, clean and polite. I will be buying my retirement truck (a 2500HD to pull the 5th wheel) in the next few years and I am SERIOUSLY considering Spitzer. Price is one thing, but STRESS FREE buying is PRICELESS! Thanks, Spitzer
Went in to buy or lease a Chevy. The salesman could not answer most of our questions. He seems very bothered by us even being there and made absolutely no effort to find a good fit for us frustrated we decided to leave were going to buy or lease elsewhere. Dont waste your time here definitely not a professional outfit.
Parts / service department is useless!! I stopped by to have them order a part for me (it was on a company account) a week later I called to check the status of my order and after being put on hold 3 times for a total of 25 min... Someone gets back on the line and tells me um...there seems to be a problem with the service department....and ...um.. can you come back in here and re order it?. Seriously?! Why not call me when the problem 1st came up?!! (Only thing missing was circus music playing in the background)
I must say that you guys are absolutely excellent, I was with a very upset customer when I came in there and I thought the service manager was extremely calm and kind and professional, despite how the customer was acting. Kudos to that man. I think everyone is extremely kind and welcoming there and i know where Id buy a car if I was in need of one.
I bought a used f150 from spitzer chevy north canton, they assured me that nothing was wrong with it, boy were they lying, long story short the truck has been in the shop for a month out of the three months I have owned it, they also told my wife they would reimburse me for the repairs which they also lied about, super sketchy dealer and people DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THEMDOES ANYONE KNOW THE OLD SERVICE MANAGER BLAISE? I WOULD LIKE TO TALK WITH HIM
My son just purchased a vehicle for $20,000 and youd think they would at least give him a full tank of gas!!! Instead, they sent him on his way on an EMPTY tank. We complained and today when he came in to sign paperwork, they put a whopping $10 in! I mean, a sale like that and you couldnt provide quality customer service by filling his tank up. He gave you a sale!
I have used the service center for years for all our service needs. Never again will I. The representatives are becoming unbelievably rude! And dont even consider using any of their new features to contact them to schedule an appointment, the people handling those are the worst!
Very helpful at the service station, been having off and on problems for a long time with the electrical system in that been getting verious displays posting some issues that we have not been able to resolve. This time the service technician talking all the data seemed very helpful and knowledgeable of this type of problem, hopeful that we finally can get to the bases of the problem and fix it once and for all.
Went for an interview, sat around for 20min before seeing who invited me for an interview. Got scheduled to come back, Sat there for 20+ min the second time before anyone came out for me. Talked to me less than 30 seconds, said Id get a call back either way and never heard back from anyone. Everyone acts too busy and no one checks to make sure youve been helped.
The last time I had my oil changed at Spitzer Chevrolet in North Canton will be my LAST TIME. The mechanic checked off all the boxes on my receipt that showed all was checked OK. When I got home, all fluids needed filled, battery terminals were very corroded, tires needed air. Needless to say, they lost my business.Debra S.
A very impressive showroom for what we took as a small town, drove over 2 hours to do business with this dealership because of their customer service and their willingness to get you what ur looking for, even if its even further away from you... In the end, it paid off as we got exactly what we were looking for!! Thank you Jen Fincham for all your help assisting us in getting it right!!

2022-07-12This is my 3rd car purchase from Spitzer. My salesman Darren Putt is always awesome and so helpful, even when I’m in for service he will stop by and see how things are going with my car. He makes it feel like I’m dealing with a friend! Great customer service from him and the finance department. Thanks guys, I love my car!

2022-06-21We met Scott in 2019, two days before we had my daughter. He was able to get us into a brand new suburban in the right price range we were looking for. Fast forward to 2022, Spitzer reached out to me that they had a brand new suburban that I could trade my old one in for , for the same payment! They take care of their customers and are always asking if they can help with anything. I love having a brand new car and all the warranties included. It is safe to say we will be a Spitzer family for life!

2022-06-30Darren Putt made my visit so enjoyable, such a fun guy, he made it all a breeze, it couldnt have been any more easier or faster, it was almost too easy! He was very helpful, informative and stayed in touch with me during the process and made sure all of my questions were answered that I had. Definitely recommend Darren for all your car shopping needs!

2022-05-12This place is terrible and won’t ever come back to it again. We’ve had problems here multiple times. Fixing one car, emptied out the coolant and never refilled it when it was time to be picked. By the time the car was on the way to our house, it was acting funny and noticed when we opened the hood, the cap was off and lose under the hood instead of secured like it once was.Had the sunroof fixed for blockage as water was leaking through. The manager and his employee talking back to us and asking if we had a job. That’s honestly disrespectful for even mentioning that. All because we told you to fix your mistake you made. Clearly they can’t do their job right and can’t be trusted. They are mouthy, they lie, and have mechanics who can’t properly do their job. Most be desperate for money because they’ll charge you for things that shouldn’t be that price or have you come back for a problem they said they fixed but will lie to get you to pay it again. So thank you for showing our true colors. You lost our service, the rest of my families service, and our friends. Hope y’all read this review before coming here. Save your wallets, time, and feelings from this place. They’ll just disrespect you. Glad to see you only comment on the positive reviews instead of the negative. Shows your narcissism and thinking you haven’t done anything wrong. This place is a JOKE

2022-07-21Everyone was friendly and helpful. They made buying a car as smooth as possible — no pushy sales, no pressure to buy anything you didn’t want. They took the time to go over the features and made sure everything was set up properly before I drove off the lot!!! Did I mention they even stayed after closing time without rushing to get me out the door!!! Great experience! Great team!

2022-04-13Nick Moran made the car buying process super easy! This was my first time purchasing a new car and first time financing. Nick and the finance team at Spitzer made everything a quick and smooth process! Also, Nick was really great at keeping me updated once I ordered my equinox. He set expectations for the timeline, followed up with me, and answered any questions I had. Thanks Nick!

2022-04-11Nick was very professional and patient with my wife and I. We came into the dealer right before closing time. Nick wasnt bothered one bit by having to stay over for a customer. He took his time showing us the car and making sure all our questions were answered. I will definitely return to buy my next car.

2022-04-08We bought a 2013 Nissan Juke from this place almost, not even, 1 year ago. This car has been leaving me stranded numerous times. It s the security system, nothing is wrong with the engine! We called & asked what could be done, if we could do a reasonable trade in knowing we d take a loss & keep our business with them but let me tell you (!!!!)..I put $8000 cash down, we pay on time every payment! We checked blue book value, it s $9-11k. Spritzer called us back & offered us $6000.. Are you kidding me?!?!?! Not even half of what they charged us initially for a broken car!!! Taking our business elsewhere & I d advise the same to any hard working Ohioan looking for a decent place to purchase..

2022-07-11I did not have a problem with the service I received which was an oil change and tire rotation. The problem was that they did not want to redeem any of my Chevy points saying that it was their policy that if you use a coupon you cant redeem Chevy points. So I had to call the Chevy points team and they confirmed that the dealership should always redeem Chevy points. The cashier was not friendly and very put out of my requests. Definitely did not feel like an important customer.

2022-02-01I had an issue after I purchased my vehicle! The managers got together and came up with a plan to solve the problem. I cant say enough about the integrity of the upper management at this dealership. The most one can expect from a car dealership is to stand behind what they sell...and this crew at Spitzer Chevrolet did just that! Not only did they fix the issue I had my vehicle back in a week! Which I thought was GREAT! The sales process was extremely smooth and quick considering I bought the car out of state 4.5 hours away.
