Kyle from Solar is Freedom has been fantastic to work with, friendly and responsive. He took the time to make sure we understood the process and what was going into our system. Currently the system is in the process of being put in and together (1/28/22) and the work crew has been kind and considerate to the work from home both my wife and child are doing, theyve taken care with the property and informative of any the process I have had questions with as well (discussing the future purchase of a battery). All in all the process with the company has been very pleasant and I would strongly suggest to others the purchase of a system from them,
I wish I could give more than a five star rating because Chris Simmons and the all the people at Solar is Freedom definitely deserve it. They were very kind and helpful to us. Gladly answered all questions we had. They came out got the job done in the cold pouring rain ahead of schedule. They put 38 panels on our home and did all the electrical work in around 3 hours. The inspector said it was the the best jobs he had ever seen. I would like to say thank you to everyone that helped us. But would like to say a special thank you to the man that came out after the install and did the conditioning of the panels. I never got to meet him because I work out of town. I believe his name was Rhodes Thomas. Thank you sir for being so nice to my son. For answering all his questions and showing him how everything works. Your customer service skills are the best. I appreciate everything. Solar is Freedom it the only way to go.
Sonny was very communicative throughout the project. We got a solar system on the ground on our property instead of on the roof, so there were some extra steps that they went through to make sure nothing interfered with our septic system or our well. Solar is Freedom was very thorough. You can always tell when youre working with experienced professionals. The installers didnt even mind us setting up our lawn chairs and watching the solar system get built! We got several quotes before going with Sonny and Solar is Freedom. They werent the cheapest of our options, but they are more than worth it!
I just received approval with the final inspection (electrical and structural). While the Solar is Freedom Technician was replacing the panel on the electrical box in my basement I walked the inspector out to his car. Unsolicited, the inspector said he has NEVER experience a problem with any of the work Solar is Freedom preforms. He has inspected hundreds of the solar panel installs. He cant say that about some of the other solar panel companies he has had experienced.Made me feel very good about my choice in choosing Solar if Freedom to install my solar panels !!!!!
Solar Is Freedom made the entire process simple and painless. After coming out to see what I needed, they created a plan and pricing and explained everything clearly. When they came (on time) to install the panels, the crew was professional, meticulous, and efficient.Jeff White and his team were outstanding and I highly recommend them to anyone thinking of going solar.
The solar team explained the process of what to expect when they arrived and made sure I understood the next steps in the process. They were very flexible when a roof install needed to be added at the last minute. The company worked diligently to get the install completed before the end of the year. Both teams were very professional and efficient.
Lloyd Hall, the account manager, allowed the process from beginning to the end to be seamless. Lloyd was capable to explain every detail of the installation, finance options, meter replacement, and timeline of the project. The installation team was very concise and time efficient also. My overall experience was wonderful. Im looking forward to saving money and my community stepping up and going green.
We worked with Patrick to design and schedule our new solar panels. It couldnt have been easier. Everyone who worked on the install was really helpful. We were producing energy immediately. So far, we are really happy with our decision to convert to solar.
I truly could not have asked for a better experience with any company. Our transition to solar felt seamless. Every part of the process was explained thoroughly, and we were net left guessing what would come next. There really was little to no work on our end. A professional organization that kept us informed during the entire process and handled all the liaison efforts with the utilities and inspector. I had done some up-front research and was pleased to find out that their employees handle every step, from account management, project management, site survey (with pictures and drone for roof inspection), and installation. They have a CRM (customer relationship management) software they use to track efforts and email you updates. They have a well-defined process that they follow and execute on schedule. We appreciate Kierstens efforts to ensure everything went smoothly and on-time! We are now a net producer of electricity. :)Tim V.
Solar Is Freedom just finished up installing my solar system. Patrick and the installers were great; very knowledgeable and everything came out very neat and clean looking. The installers were very adamant about making sure the job was done right and everything looked good.
The first attempt to install the system wasn’t successful because of the steady rain. The guys set up a canopy and installed what they could. I was called with a new date but was called again and set a reinstall for just 2 days away. Fast work! The installers came right after a big ice storm and I was impressed with their determination to get it done. Both teams were very professional and courteous and did a great job in a very short time. Great work!!

Sonny did a great job in presenting the case for solar. He was very straightforward and honest about what made sense for our particular situation. Not only did he make a great case for solar we didnt feel pressured at all. We enjoyed our interaction with him very much and if we decide to go solar in the future, Sonny will be our first call.
Even though at this time solar was not the right fit, the professionalism of my assigned account manager Sonny Namendorf was exemplary. He worked hard to make sure I understood all aspects of the process. This company truly puts in the time and the work for potential clients. Integrity is hard to find, but Solar is Freedom nailed it.
This is my second house with solar panels. I cannot speak at this time regarding my savings because I am waiting for the meter to be swapped out and my generation begin. But what I can tell you is that from the salesperson to the install techs everything has been done to 100%satisfaction. The install team was very polite and very clean. They didnt leave any scraps or packaging material for me to dispose of. Look for me to follow up in a few weeks to share my savings. I only gave a 4 star because I want to wait and see the savings.
Working with Karim at Solar is Freedom has been a great experience. Throughout the sales and design process he has been knowledgeable, responsive, and reliable as we navigated a few needed roof repairs prior to the installation of the solar panels. The project starts next week and I would not have been able to make it this far without Karim’s expertise.
I am someone that likes to do things on his own timeline and after completing a lot of research. Solar is Freedom is the company that came out on the top of my own personal research list for Best Product (I wanted the LG Panels), Best Installation, and Best customer service. Adam was amazing! He answered all my questions and I never felt pressured or trapped once, in fact I even bailed on the project at one point, and he was completely understanding of the situation. After all the research, the install did not disappoint. I am thrilled with the product, I am thrilled with the install, and the company and Adam have been beyond accommodating and professional. I would recommend them to anyone thinking about getting solar.
Patrick Onoro has been fantastic to work with. The process from start through installation thus far has been seamless, straightforward, and transparent. The panels look great on the roof. Now just waiting on inspections and the power company to switch on Net Metering to see what this beautiful array will do!

Solar panels been installed by this company almost month back..They keep informed me throughout the process and completed with install as promised with in 2 months. After installation, noticed issue with water dripping and Chris visited my place in couple of days and confirmed no issues with his technical expertise ( so there technical team is good ).I experienced, issues in reporting problems to their customer service team, they dont respond to phone call, most of the time calls ends up going into voice mail and there will be no call back from them, so there is lot of scope for improvement in this area. Another issue faced is with manager Jordan who handled my project (after becoming customer by signing agreement) he wont worry much about problems you facing, addressing to your questions and wont stick to the commitment he made.Im still following up with this gentlemen on the deal he committed to me at time of agreement.Overall this is good company and you will be in good hands , but need tobe little cautious and keep following up with people from these two departments until you get hold of right person.
I have had a great experience so far with this company and I’m happy they are local. Jan answers all my questions and is extremely helpful. I love taking the steps to help the environment at the same time have already noticed a difference in my monthly energy bill. I am so excited to see how much I save in the summer. The warranty and quality name brand of the panels is also very reassuring. I’m glad I took the leap and my kids are happy I’m helping with our environment!
We had Solar is Freedom install our solar panels. The entire process was easy and they were well prepared. They were easy to work with and made some changes to placement of the panels based on our suggestions. The schedule that we were given initially was followed pretty closely.I was impressed with the installation crew. They were prepared and did a professional job. They worked hard and listened to my requests. The results look good.We have only had the system on for a couple of weeks but we are happy with the results so far. I would recommend Solar is Freedom.

Adam and Solar is Freedom is amazing! I had some friends that went through these guys as well and have all had an awesome experiences. Im new to the solar market and I had never heard of them before compared to some others but after talking to them and the others it was clear that this is the business I wanted to go with. Adam will follow up with you through the whole process and make sure everything is going perfect. If anything goes wrong hell make it right. I was able to get better panels and a longer warranty than their competition could offer. I was also able to have roof and gutters replaced through them as well and my neighbors cant stop talking about how good everything looks. Awesome job and I completely would recommend to anyone.

We were contacted all throughout the process to keep us informed on what was happening and what we needed to do next - which was not much at all. They handled everything professionally & took care of the whole process including staying on top of the energy company to ensure the appropriate meter was upgraded. We had talked about wanting to be better consumers for years. Saw an advertisement one day and called. We talked to that company but wanted a second estimate. We called Solar is Freedom for that 2nd opinion and we were so glad we did! Our decision was easy once we talked with Lloyd Hall at Solar is Freedom. Our initial call was informative and we wanted to move forward. Lloyd helped guide us i.e. approval with our HOA and he did the rest! Knowing that a professional group of engineers were going to study the best heat surfaces for our home and then calculate this to give us a very personalized, professional estimate of our power generation as it related to our individual utility bill was IMPRESSIVE! Solar worked directly with Kentucky Utilities and we were well on our way to installation day! A certified electrician and his team came for a one day install. They were on time, efficient, knowledgeable, and cleaned up our yard when they were done. Lloyd has continued to check in with us and guide us. We are SO SATISFIED with our decision to go solar, but even happier that we talked with Lloyd Hall at Solar is Freedom!!! You should MAKE THE CALL!!!

They were able to walk me through every process and answer all of my questions (I ask a lot of questions). They are very professional in what they do and any hiccups that come up can be easily dealt with communication to the sales rep that they give you. Would definitely recommend at least sitting down with them. If it is not for you then that is fine but it is still worth talking about to get some education on solar power.
Kiersten was our account rep. She was in contact throughout every phase. We received constant updates throughout the installation process. She is very professional and personable. Solar panels are working great so far!
Everyone I talked to was very helpful & knowledgeable. The crew that came and worked on my solar panels was very efficient unprofessional. They were there when they said they would be and when they left you didnt no they were there except for the solar panels on my house. Very nice and friendly.
Love my panels! I purchased a 16 panel ground mounted system. They catered the experience to my needs. Customer service is excellent and I am confident that they will be there for me if I ever have questions or issues.

Great initial experience.However over a month ago our solar roof stopped working… we have called, left messages, emailed, texted and resorted to Facebook messenger to reach them… just to get an automated response.This is a very expensive roof that has not worked consistently and customer service is non existent.
All personal that we had contact with were are polite and respectful. They were very professional in their work. They also left our property clean as if they were never here. Except for a nice looking solar panels on our roof.

Solar is Freedom is every home owner’s dream come true. We received our install back in July and it has been such a neat experience. Not only do they look great and are a head turner amongst our neighbors but breaking the numbers down, they just made sense. We are projected to save minimum 90k over the next 25 financed year. Our only complaint with our experience is that Duke Energy is slow with recognizing the interconnection agreement for net metering but that is by no means attributed to Solar is Freedom’s fault. All the more reason to leave Duke Energy and pursue the road of owning your own energy. Solar is Freedom is one of the most responsive and genuine companies I have begun to build my relationship with as a homeowner. More companies should model their customer experience like this.
Our solar power, installed by Solar is Freedom, was just hooked up yesterday by Duke. I am so excited! We worked with Patrick throughout the process - I was impressed by the lack of pressure - he gave us the information and let us make decisions on our own time. We researched solar power, the process and the hardware prior to talking to them. They recommended exactly the number of panels we had calculated - no overselling! Patrick was with us through every step of the process and was quick to respond - whether by email or phone. The installation crew were polite, knowledgeable and cleaned everything up before leaving. I highly recommend Solar is Freedom if you are considering going solar.
We chose Solar is Freedom for our Solar install. We cant be happier with the install. Adam did a great job answering our questions & keeping in touch throughout the process. We had done our research and received several quotes. Solar is Freedom was not the cheapest quote, but we felt they were the best. They had selected quality products based on my research & were able to complete the install within our timeline. The installers were professional and personable. They answered my questions during the install and were helpful. I was impressed that they were able to get all of the panels installed in one day and just needed a couple hours the next day to complete the wiring into our system. We have had our solar panels since Jan 2020 and absolutely love them! Solar is Freedom is the ONLY company out of all the quotes that I got that didn’t try to upsell us an outrageously expensive system that we would never recoup our costs on. The installation looks amazing and no complaints at all. We did unfortunately have an inverter go bad, but they replaced it under warranty AND sent us a check to make up for the power that would have been generated while the system was down. The app is great to be able to see how much power your system is producing! If you are considering going solar, I would highly recommend you go with Solar is Freedom!

Sonny, the rep we dealt with was very informative, friendly and honest. He explained everything from start to finish and gave us time to discuss it without feeling pressured. Even though we eventually decided it wasnt the best time for us to make the switch he was very understanding and remained friendly. We will definitely call this company back when were ready. Solar is freedom did an amazing job. Jordan Bailey came through with everything he started. The crew that installed the dollar panels was professional and courteous. I upgraded from 100 amp service to 200 amp and wow what an amazing job. If youre looking to go solar trust me, this is the number one company offering solar. But, dont take my word, educate youre selves and you will see that my statement is 100% accurate.
In the summer of 2021, I purchased a new roof and solar panels as a combination package. The new roof was installed then the solar panels were installed. The workers were professional and courteous. The grass and a few plants were matted down but that was to be expected. I have found about 7 nails and 12 bits of roofing material which were easily put into the garbage. It was a pleasant experience. They have consistently reminded me in a timely fashion when documents needed to be downloaded for future reference or to be read carefully then approved with a signature. The electrical net meter is installed and operational. I am glad to have a new roof and solar panels.
The company was very responsive and made everything very easy to understand. The process and value (environmental, financial, financing options, etc.) were very clear after going around the figures with Adam and the team. I found it especially useful to get a breakdown on what the system would generate, how the setup would accommodate our needs (now and with a possible expansion of need in the next couple of years due to electric vehicle charging), and what sort of ongoing monitoring capabilities we have. The process was just really easy and I couldnt recommend the team enough. Loving our panels!
Let me say, we were not easy customers. Our Solar installation was more than a year in the making. Despite this, when we were finally able to pull the trigger on the project, Solar is Freedom helped us every step of the way and talked us through every step. Installation was quick and easy, and our Solar panels look great!

Very happy with my purchase with Solar is Freedom. The staff and sales support are extremely knowledgeable and I feel good that they are a local company and nearby if we need them. We did have a small hiccup with the installation on our pole barn. There was a slight leak coming through. I contacted the company and the resolved the issue immediately
Solar is Freedom installed my Solar system with battery backup in June of 2020. The sales process was a good experience and the sales team was responsive and provided solid information. The installation was completed over 2 day period and the installers were very courteous and did a great job. Once my system was installed I was up and running with no issues. Solar Freedom has been very responsive to any requests I have made since the install. I could not be happier with Solar Freedom and my system!

We can’t recommend Solar is Freedom enough! We had considered solar panels for years, but after moving into a new home, we decided to explore it more seriously. Alex Hay was an outstanding project coordinator. He made the entire process so simple, from the initial presentation to installation. When he shared the proposal, it was really a no-brainer to proceed. With rates so low, our monthly solar payment will be less than our typical monthly electric bill. Saving money, plus running on clean energy and contributing to a greener future – a true win-win! The installation team was very professional, clean and efficient. Our job was done in less than a day! If we ever have another need for solar, I’d only consider Solar is Freedom and would call them again in a heartbeat.
Its hard to know where to start reflecting on the overall Solar is Freedom experience. I definitely know that Jordan, the account manager, tirelessly worked with me to explain all of the benefits and follow up even on his personal time of Solar power vs. Electric Co. When you consider the savings, along with the security of a worry free 25 year parts and maintenance warrantee and monitoring it was hard to not switch. The equipment they use is top of the line and when I compared to 3 other Top Solar companies could not be matched. He got me the best price on the market, along with lowest interest finance and the 26% federal tax credit made it a no brainer. The customer service people were overly friendly and helpful. When it came day for install the Solar is Freedom installers were very professional and master craftsmen. I cant wait for the days I start getting my $0 Duke Energy bills most every month like the 2 other guys who had theirs installed months ago.
Sonny add the solar freedom crew did a great job. I was well informed with the whole process. The installers got it complete in 1 day however it took longer than expected to get to the point of installation due to permitting and inspections. I’m really excited to start seeing my savings
We dealt with Sonny and although we didn’t end up using the actual product, he was amazing. He gave us every detail we needed, plus more, to make a decision that was right for us. We definitely feel that if we do go solar in the future, it will be with this company because Sonny did such a great job of treating us respectfully throughout the entire process. My panels have now been up for a week and Ive already produced 300kWh, and have produced more energy than we have consumed. I feel all who can (and have the sun exposure) should do what they can to help with lowering our carbon footprint. Solar is Freedom does just that. When the day finally came to install my panels it was like Christmas Day at our house. I live on a hilltop about 500 feet above everyone else and my sun exposure is from sunrise to sunset. Even the guys doing the install for SIF had to take frequent breaks to view Gods beauty that could be seen for miles and miles in any direction. One of the guys who was part of the installation crew was overheard by me say, I have worked for several different solar panel companies and this is by far the most ethical and honest companies Ive ever installed for. Made me feel good hearing this. I can see my rooftop from a couple miles away and from way down the mountain. It has certainly added to the uniqueness of my home. Lots of people have commented to me how well it looks too.A.E.P. (American Electric Power) was extremely difficult to work with. Not including the local power company workers who came out to my house to do what they had to do. The local boys from the power company were great. AEP corporately was a total wreck to talk with. Making arrangements with them was almost an act of Congress to get anything done. I give them an F (minus the local workers whom I give an A+). Horrible lack of communication on AEPs part from their call centers.But you cannot go wrong with inquiring with SIF to get your solar panels. In fact, I know that within the next year or so I will have more energy requirements and will certainly have SIF install more panels.
Update#2: Today was the final day of installation. The install team did a great job. They were even able to fit the panels in a smaller footprint than was originally planned. They were very professional and courteous. They made sure throughout the process that we were satisfied and they were through in thier cleanup. The project manager also checked in to get feedback on the install team and to ensure we were happy with install. They may have been off to a rough start but they have done right by us.Update: After posting of this review the project manager did reach out to me to discuss the issues and make things right. I was given a new install date at the end of this month. Will update again once panels are installed.This has been a frustrating experience with them. After signing the contract there has been zero reach out from them in regards to anything for installation. It was difficult to get them to provide a date for install. Come the date of install that they said and there has been zero communication on if they are going to keep that date. When to expect them to arrive etc. They tell you in the sign up that your assigned liason will take care of everything and communicate regularly, ours has never reached out to us or communicated anything unless we reached out first.We had selected this company based on its large amount of positive reviews but this has not been a good experience.
I was very impressed with their professionalism. Their salesperson Sonny Namedorf was outstanding. He did not stop at the pre-sales and sales process. He answered lots of questions. The team analyzed our roof and gave a quote. They gave me an estimated delivery date. 26 panels were installed in one day.Sonny was with me during the whole process. He kept me in the loop during preinstallation. After installation, I had questions and he patiently answered my questions and gave me first month analysis. He also helped me through the process of applying for more SREC credits.So far, the system is delivering power as promised.I felt Sonny was honest and direct. The teams to install were professional. I recommend Solar is Freedom

The sales presentation was NOT high pressure and the materials spoke to the value of the product. The only limiting factor and delay for us was weather since no sane person is going to work on a roof with ice and snow. It was installed well and Solar Freedom was responsive to questions. We now have 4 Solar Freedom installs in this neighborhood and expect more once we get past an obstructive developer and the HOA assumes control. Take advantage of federal rebates while they last.
Solar is freedom is an awesome company from start to finish. My contact Lloyd was especially awesome in staying in touch with me throughout the whole process. If your looking into getting solar I would highly recommend going with Solar is freedom!
Pros:1. We interviewed three solar companies before going with SIF. Their prices were on-point and competitive.2. They had more flexibility in allowing us to choose the make and model of panels that were right for us.3. They didnt try to sell us on extra add-ins like attic insulation.Cons:1. The system has under-delivered on their estimates for 9 out of 12 months. In aggregate, our panels have produced about 92% of what they estimated. I would feel more comfortable with +/- 5%.2. Over the past year, there have been two dates in which the panels never turned on. The first time it happened, we sent a note to our rep, because it seemed odd. It wasnt a huge deal, and the panels came back on the next day. However, the rep very was defensive that we inquired on the situation. What would you do if you had brand-new panels and they just didnt turn on one day, very early on? Of course youd inquire.3. They used the incorrect electricity rate in our initial proposal, which made it seem as though the panels would pay for themselves many years ahead of when they actually will. Its fine as we went solar mostly for environmental reasons, but be sure to do your own calculations to double-check their work.4. One panel was installed crooked at the initial installation, causing them to come back out twice (once for a supervisor to verify that it really was crooked, and a second time for him to send the original crew back out).5. The communication was great before we paid our initial down payment, but has been lacking since. It can be difficult to get a reply back when we have questions. As an example, it can be difficult to navigate the billing and different meters from Duke. Were kind of on our own trying to figure it all out. SIF should create a help desk system for this and other help items such as the aforementioned panels not always turning on.
Super pleased with my solar panels. The process was easy and its exciting to be able to lower energy bills and also rely more on clean energy. Im also impressed with how they look on the house. My account manager was super helpful and patient with my questions. He made sure to keep the process moving.I was glad Solar is Freedom dealt with the local energy company for me. I got a letter from the energy company stating I was approved to produce solar power and then they swapped out my meter for a bi-directional meter without me having to do anything. I also like the app that allows me to see how much energy Im producing.
We looked at all companies and glad we selected Solar Is Freedom. Patrick has been excellent , knowledgeable, and patient with us throughout the surprisingly easy process. They handled all the work with Duke, had incredible install teams who came out sooner then promised and were clean and courteous and left our property in perfect order ( Will and Tre installed 36 panel system in a day beautifully!) The electricians came out the next day and did a beautiful job and were great with all my questions. Lloyd was our contact person with the company. He has always been responsive to our calls and emails. He takes the time you need and answers any questions or concerns you may have. The guys that came and installed the panels did an awesome job, were professional and took the time to explain to me other questions I had about the equipment. They were all a pleasure to work with.
My wife and I decided to check out the benefits of going solar in order to reduce our costs while also trying to help improve the environment. After speaking with quite a few companies, we spoke with Patrick Orono at Solar is Freedom and found our best value. We discussed many options and actually decided to go with a roof mount system on our house. After speaking with Caleb when he came out to do the pre-site inspection, my wife and I asked if it would be ok if we went with a ground mount design instead. Mind you, we had already signed the papers for the roof mount system. Fortunately, Patrick was able to work with us and make the changes! It made my wife happy and showed that he cared about our satisfaction. This gave us a good feeling that the company is willing to work with us and we are very optimistic that this experience and the upcoming results with Solar is Freedom will continue to exceed our expectations.
Our initial contact was very impressive and convincing. Lloyd answered our every question and concern with clarity. He was always available and thorough. We chose Solar is Freedom and our first energy bill came two weeks after installation and was already half of what wed been paying monthly.
Do not use solar is freedom they are crooks they will get you set up with a plan if you decide to cancel BEFORE anyone sets foot on your land they will not cancel your loan and they will keep stealing your money so before you get invested with this company beware its already cost me $900

I was a bit skeptical at first because when Adam Hay first contacted me, it seemed a little too good to be true. He told me that I would save money immediately every month by adding solar panels. But after his presentation and after we spoke with other friends about the process, the expectation, and the actual results that they had experienced, we were convinced that it would actually save our family money every month on electricity. And guess what? It does. I suppose its different for each home, based on what direction the roof faces, and shadows cast by trees, but our little house spends less on electricity each month now, than before. Our monthly electric bill, plus our monthly payment for the solar panels is actually less than our previous electric bills before. Adam was professional and quick to respond to my emails. The gentlemen who came and installed everything were efficient and did a great job. It took about 5 hours, and we were using the power of the sun on the same day. We had a great experience from start to finish. We ultimately chose Solar is freedom because they were the most knowledgeable company we spoke with and the quote was all inclusive. I know we all have been skeptical of solar integration into our houses. Our Family made the leap earlier this year 2020 and can say the following:-Our previous electric bill was ~$142 during AC months-It was now ~$23 (October) which is simply the standard charges from duke with minimal energy-I am excited to see a credit in electric during the wonder months as we have gas heat.-our FIXED solar monthly bill is $122 which is NOT subject to escalation from duke. Our same duke energy bill would be $165 in five years (based on 3% escalation). The savings will only go up as we live in our home.- solar systems are warranted for 25 years and after 20 years our loan will be paid off. They guarantee 80% panel efficiency at 25 years.- it was a hard decision but I believe it is the right moveThat being said we took advantage of the current 2020 26% tax credit and it goes down to 22% in 2021 and in 2022 there is no tax credit. After having some personal data, I do recommend solar.I Highly recommend Jordan Bailey for your solar Array!There is 0$ in seeing if your home is even a good fit for Solar. Check them out!
These people have so many five star ratings I thought they were fake, and almost didnt consider them. I did talk with them, and compared their plan and services to other installers. Im glad I chose Solar is Freedom. Very happy with the installation and the energy credits to my Duke electric bill.
Jordan and team did a great job from installation to the follow up. Installation was quick and clean. We did have an issue with a set of the panels shortly after installation that was corrected right away and we were even refunded for lost production. Jordan reached out to set up a follow up appointment to review the production as well. What they promised me prior to purchasing the panels is exactly what they are doing, which is a breath of fresh air. I would recommend them to anyone interested in solar.

I may be jumping the gun a bit because I cant give hard evidence yet about the reduction in my electric bills but I want to speak to the professionalism of the sales process and the install. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to this company by friends who DO have well over a year of evidence of electricity cost reduction AND as importantly, who DO THEIR RESEARCH! They had spoken with 5 companies and told me Solar Is Freedom was by far the best. So I got a head start in my quest to help the environment and my pocketbook. I really appreciated all my questions being answered by Greg during the decision process. By the end, I felt confident that this system was going to meet my goals. I was at first disappointed that they werent proposing to install enough panels to cover 100% of my usage but then I discovered that by not overselling me, they were watching out for me. Impressive. They had promised me an install completion by the end of 2020, & even with some weather challenges they made that happen. There were a couple of small hiccups during installation but they moved immediately to make them right. Just a few examples of a company that takes pride in their work. A rare commodity these days!So now the panels are up. My house looks great. Im producing my own power--saving money & the environment. Their estimate of my home’s ability to produce was met ahead of time. We have been very happy with our solar panels. The installation went well and the technicians were very professional. Our electric bill has been around $18 a month since the completion of the installation and turn over to solar.
Alex the salesman was great. He answered all of our questions and we had a-lot. He was there with us every step of the way. During the install, he used his drone to record a time lapsed video. A few days later he sent the video to us. It was very cool.Installation was fast and professional. My experience from Day 1 when I first contacted Jordan to yesterday when they installed the panels was around 30 days which I thought was great.When I first got the idea to go to solar panels, I checked with other companies first, but after gathering all their information I ultimately decided to use Solar is Freedom. They seemed to be very knowledgeable and the quote they gave me included everything to get the job done. Jordan was very sincere in explaining everything, how their system worked and what to expect. It seemed I was always contacting him with questions I had and he never once complained about me hounding him. He understood my concerns and really went out of his way and beyond to assure me that the job would be done thoroughly and professionally.I chose to have 24 panels installed. Jordan advised that the panels would be placed on the side and back of my residence this way they would not be seen from the street. There have been issues with our system operating as it should, and delays with support due to COVID-19, which has caused considerable frustration. We have had a wonderful experience with this company. The consultation and sales meeting with them were extremely thorough and thoughtfully assembled. When we left that first meeting, we knew exactly what we were getting into, how much we could potentially save, and what the experience was going to be like from start to finish and cost involved and it all played out as they had presented. The follow up was great as well, we received a call and an in person visit to follow up on installation and implementing the use of the app to follow how our panels were working. When we were met with some pushback from our HOA, American Dream assisted us in navigating the process and getting a few of our panels relocated as needed. They are a very communicative company as well, which is very important to me. When you call, text and email, they respond promptly, every time.
The best part of Solar is Freedom is the upper management team. When issues arose, they responded personally to ensure that the issues were being addressed or fixed. We had a major hurdle with HOA, which I am fairly certain was really one vocal person in the neighborhood. We got the approval for panels for one side of the house. This was a win because solar panels are not allowed as called out in the deed of restrictions for the neighborhood. After the first set of panels went up, we received a kickback from the HOA (neighbor) to move them to a different part of the house. Then, during the second visit from Solar is Freedom to move the panels, the company was contacted directly to NOT do anything. We were not contacted initially by the HOA (or the mystery neighbor). Finally, things were agreed upon and after the third trip to our home, the panels were installed. The situation written above shows the dedication that Solar is Freedom has with its customers and to solar. Each trip out is ~2.5 hours for them and the panel installers made three and the electricians made two. Being the first house in a neighborhood that frowns on solar panels is ... was a tough road. But with Solar is Freedmons patience and help, maybe we opened the door for others to take advantage of solar energy. Things to know when getting started and if you have an HOA: 1 - Check the deed of restrictions. 2 - Call the HOA committee and get everything approved (in writing for a paper trail). Another note of worthiness is the competency and friendliness of the solar panel installers and electricians. They did amazing jobs and were very friendly to me and my family (my children wanted to watch them work). They also gave us details of how things work for our better understanding. They are all good crews.

Installation went well. Had a small problem--inverter was bad. Company responded as soon as we called. We would recommend this company to anyone wanting solar. We have seen a savings on our first full months electric bill and look forward to more savings next month.
So far, this has been a completely positive experience. They take care of everything, including permits and contacting the electric service provider. I hear that Duke Energy has a contract where they actually send customers checks for surplus power generated. DP&L doesnt do that. I havent received a DP&L bill to see the effect yet. The panels look pretty cool on my little Cape Cod! My meter is running backwards. I have put no money down. To keep my payments low, I will have to roll my tax credit into the balance. I expect my payment plus remaining electric bill to be about the same as before. My motivation was that this is a no carbon footprint way of generating power, so we should all consider it.

When Adam first contacted me I really wasn’t too serious about going solar, but did want to get an idea of the whether it was feasible and how much it would cost. Once the proposal was generated and I evaluated the costs it really became a ‘no-brainer’. With interest rates so low and fixed, and federal tax credits still available, it really did make economic sense, not to mention its also environmentally conscious. The process from quote to install was smooth and seamless. The install took place in one day, and the next day I was net-metering. IMO the panels do not detract from the beauty of my home and are hardly noticeable from the road. Very satisfied!

They did a great job. Explained everything fully before. Provided documentation (insurance, BBB reference, etc.) in advance. Set up 12.4 KW of panels on our roof in one day and did all the electrics the next. We had an unrelated circuit breaker fail during installation and they fixed that as well. We installed our panels in late fall so we haven’t yet seen the max potential but we’re already seeing them produce 25-40% of our energy usage in the dreariest winter months! Extremely satisfied.
Jaylon Jones met with us on a Zoom meeting call. We did the presentation, contract and financing virtually, a bit scary but alls well. The install was completed in the time frame agreed upon and the install crew is first class. Financing rates are competitive although we chose to self finance. The system is producing 5 KW/hr. nominally.
Fantastic work all around and were enjoying the solar power. Alex was great in his analysis and answering questions. The install team was great - both inside and out. Left a neat and clean worksite. And, of course, the hardware seems to be humming along great - getting the estimated power each and every sunny day.

Update on my review; Tony, the owner of American Dream reached out to me yesterday. When we got home yesterday afternoon it was pouring down raining. There is a leak from the skylight, which is a new leak. This morning I got up on the ladder to look at the flashing for the stovepipe and it does appear as though it has been worked on. I know that roof leaks can be tricky so I dont mind if they have to come back out again. I am meeting with Tony this Tuesday, 3-12-2019, and we will access everything from there. As things are addressed I will continue to update my review. We had a leak by our skylight in the kitchen. Again, I know roof leaks can be tricky. They had already come out previously and worked the area around the stove pipe. That leak seems to be fixed. There also doesnt seem to be a leak around the skylight any more. Tony kept in contact with us and things got taken care of. The solar output is increasing by the day at this point. Last month (April) was our first electric bill of $0.00. We even had a $26 credit! We are considering adding more panels to increase our output. Tony, thanks again for getting all of this taken care of!

Our first exposure to Solar is Freedom was the Cincy Home Show last winter. I.believe most people get the concept of solar panels-all except backwards thinking Home Owner Associations. The rep offered some attractive info and the sales Rep, Greg, provided an informative, LOW PRESSURE, presentation-they don’t need to. The product sells itself. The numbers make sense but the 30% Federal rebate added to the home show discount made this a “no brainer”.SIF representative, Greg Leksan, has been a gem to work with! The install went smooth and looks professional. The panels are obvious but not objectionable. Add this to the fact SIF IS A Cincinnati based company makes it an easy decision.So I am enjoying the power I am collecting- even on this overcast and snowy day-and that I am selling this against future peak power days, which applies not only to electricity but also my natural gas consumption. I learned about SIF from my neighbor who had panels installed. They were really fast to come out, Evan did a great job explaining the benefits and why this is a smart financial investment. The team installed it in a day, were very friendly and funny, cleaned up great and now my house is making money in an environmentally responsible way. Win win win.

Wow this is really cool. Installation was done in a day. 5 days now and Im generating more power than I use by half as much. I crunched the numbers with the salesman. They worked then and they work now.

I wanted to wait a while before I gave a review to see how they actually work September 2019 my electric bill was $150 September 2020 my electric bill was $17 they installed my my panels in one day they did a very professional job its hard to find honest people these days greg lekman was very patient with me he spent at least 2 hours explaining the whole process to me I was very skeptical about solar panels in Ohio plus its a big investment but greg made me feel very comfortable about my investment thanks greg I hope I spelled your last name correctly I give them 5 stars
Great experience with this company. The savings estimate they provided is proving to be accurate. When there was an issue with my inverter they sent an electrician to fix it at no charge.

2022-06-22Wife and I built a new house. We didnt have gas service, and to extend a pipeline to the house was going to cost the same as solar panels. So, we decided to make the house all electric and began researching solar install companies. We received quotes from 3 firms, and Solar is Freedom was the best $/watt. Chris Simmons and Christian Salvito did a great job keeping us informed of status. We did hit a snag with our County building department over the gauge of ground wire installed on the system, but Solar is Freedom came back out and replaced the wire so that it passed inspection. Our first full billing cycle with the panels operating saw a substantial decrease in our usage and bill. Overall, very satisfied!

We were also happy with the equipment options they offer. Their quote was detailed and the pricing was transparent, unlike another company we initially got a quote from. The installation team, Jeramie and Cliff, did an excellent job. Were now soaking up the rays and enjoying the performance we are getting plus feeling good about the significant step in the right direction towards reducing our impact on the environment. Using Solar Is Freedom is my recommendation if you are interested in going solar.

2022-02-15Lloyd Hall was very helpful and patient, as we worked together to design the specific system we needed for our home / annual utility costs. We actually ended up with less panels than we originally thought we needed to ensure the best cost / benefit. Lloyd also provided a local resident customer we could talk to and hear his experience with his solar. The panel installation was handled very professionally and sooner than we expected. The installers were done in about a half of a day. Solar is Freedom handled everything from the permits to dealing with the utility company. We are very pleased so far, and looking forward to see how much we will save.

2022-04-28My experience with Solar Is Freedom has been great and I highly recommend them as your solar installation company. They took charge of the full process, from start to finish and dealt with all permits and installation in between. They used top quality panels (LG 90% after 25 years), microinverters and my system is actually producing a bit more than originally calculated. The staff has been super friendly, great to come to with questions, and the engineers that came to my property were all smiles. It seemed like each person really enjoyed what they were doing. Do your research on whats available to you and become well informed, but it will be hard to find a better installer and manager of the process than this company.

2022-05-01Panels look great but communication has been no good from the beginning. Have called and left messages for our project manger. Called the main number with no return calls have also sent emails with no response. I think if they could just follow up with customers more timely this would be a great company. Hopefully one day I’ll hear back from them with some answers on the concerns I have.Update 4/23/22:Has now been almost 4 months of having my panels installed since New Year’s Eve and I still have yet to get a response from the company. Have still sent multiple emails to the customer care email and have called as well. Not real sure if the company still exist at this point since I keep getting ignored. Once again the panels are good but would be great if they all worked. Not getting what I paid for is crazy.4/30/22Update: as you can see the owner said to send email to there customer service email. If you would read my review you would have known I have sent multiple emails almost every other week and still have no response. Maybe whoever is over the customer service area needs to be replaced with someone that can actually do the job.
