I just had a question about a property and their agent called me back very quickly. Given other agencies and property management companies in this town- that was amazing!! Ive become used to making 3 and 4 calls/emails before getting any type of information.

They rent to druggies and noisy people. They raised the rent after a month that was literally the worst place I have ever rented. They break the lease and never fix anything when the house needs fixed. They are rude and is ran by a bunch of old ladies in thare 80s who dont know how to be professional. I would never suggest them for anyone.

House leaked daily into the basement and always smelled of mold. Bathroom had no ventilation. Front door window was not in frame and easily removable. Side door was boarded up as the lock was broken. Eventually the ceiling as well was leaking. Contacted maintenance and the company several times about repairs and never got a response, and when I did, issues were never resolved. The company and workers except for one were incredibly rude through the whole lease. The house was sold directly after to a new owner who clearly has put the time and work into it.

I loved our realtor as she is a friend, but I do not recommend Snyder and Snyder as a brokerage. Our friend is great, but we needed to go a different direction in selling our house in the hot market our neighborhood is experiencing. When trying to be released from our listing, the owner of Snyder and Snyder wouldn’t release us unless we ponied up $1,000 despite that not being in our contract. She said she’d give it back if we used Snyder and Snyder to purchase in the future.I have never heard of a brokerage extorting that much money out of a seller who wasn’t happy with the way things were headed.We were planning on voluntarily compensating our friend for the work she had done, but the forced payment to release us quickly was downright shady.EDIT to reply to owner response:No one suggested we reduce the price. We were told to raise the price. We initially wanted to put it on for 190K. We were told to raise it to 199K.We had to wait a week to relist for the agent to come in and take professional photos and to prepare it.With Snyder and Snyder, we had one showing confirmed. 4 or 5 groups came to open house. With other agents, we had 10 showings in ONE day and 16 groups at the open house and 5 offers that day, all over asking. I think we made a good decision.

Edit to add from businesss response: Heres a suggestion--instead of being defensive and combative to every single negative review you get, consider that an apology would go a long way (and it would look a lot more professional, to boot). The bottom line is this: we came to you seeking a buyers agent, and you in turn misrepresented yourself in the sale of your own property to us. That is an inexcusable breach of the ethics imposed by your realtors license, and I have been told by several subsequent professionals to lodge a complaint regarding the things you did. Any feeble attempt by you to talk about the profit I supposedly made on the sale of the house (which was completely the result of my own work and had absolutely nothing to do with you) misses the point entirely. But I have little faith that you have the power of self-reflection to see anything wrong you did in the process, so I am glad to be rid of the house and any tie to you. Lesson learned.We bought our house from this agent.First and foremost, we reached out to her to be our BUYER’S agent. We were new to Ohio and needed help buying a house. At our first meeting, she had us sign an exclusivity agreement (which she refuses to provide us a copy with, to this day) and then showed us HER house (that she owned). When two other houses fell through, we asked about moving forward with her house because we were about to run out of time renting from someone she referred us to.First, she raised the price by 10k, before this house ever hit the market. She knew we had literally weeks to move, so she had us over a barrel. Next, she was present for the inspection, done by a company she recommended (side note, we’ve had to fix things like broken HVAC vents, pools of water in the basement, and cracks in the plaster covered up with contact paper. None of which was found during our inspection). After we closed, she completely ghosted us and left us with a hoard of a mess in the basement and garage, things that took us HOURS to clean, and refused to pay us for our time until I threatened legal action.Barb Snyder took full advantage of us moving from 500 miles away to a town where we knew nothing about the real estate market. We’ve poured nearly $20k of work into her house, a house she sold to us way overpriced that we will be lucky to get our deposit back on. She completely lacks any sense of ethics or professionalism.

This is my new landlord. I sign a new lease on December 7th. The house I live in is section 8, it has many numerous problems, I hope they will fix them soon especially the heating ducts has holes to the outside.....

Barbara Snyder and staff are awesome. Kind and caring. I have been renting my property for over 12 years with 2 other property management\/realtors and wanted to sell. They didnt do much except give me lots of grief. Snyder and Snyder got to work immediately, communicating and problem solving. Within 3 months, house cleaned and repairs made and SOLD. Joy doesnt begin to express how greateful I am to Snyder and Snyder

Ms. Snyder of Snyder & Snyder was fabulous. We were new to Akron and she was so knowledgeable about the neighborhoods, schools, value/condition and history of the properties. She was an amazing real estate agent. She helped us with every aspect of our search and did not give up until we found the right property. We werent sure if we were going to rent or purchase and she helped us until we found the perfect solution. I would recommend her and her agency wholeheartedly. She cares about her clients and the city of Akron. She is an outstanding professional with integrity and we cannot recommend her more highly.

Barb Snyder is very professional and easy to work with. She is very flexible and works with your schedule and does her best to see you in the house for you. Would recommend to anyone looking for property in the Highland Square area.

Paid $25 dollar non-refundable application fee just to be told my application was cancelled because someone paid the security deposit on the property which I was NEVER even given the option to pay to hold the property. I feel like they owe me my money back non refundable or not BREANNA C. stated my app was CANCELLED SO THERE FORE IT WASNT EVEN PROCESSED THEY JUST COLLECTED MY MONEY SUPER BAD BUSINESS NEVER AGAIN
