DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!This has to be the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. Apparently, they have changed office staff because when my car was serviced in April, it was the smoothest process ever. I needed a new battery. However, the battery was faulty because I had to bring the car back up there in September. My car sat there for 3days before finding out it’s the battery again. The staff never called me, always had to call them, even after, I was promise each time I would receive a call back on an update. Oh and the 3rd day when they fixed my car I STILL did NOT receive a call. THATS RIGHT THEY WERE FINISH WITH MY CAR AND I HAD TO CALL THEM! Now the receipt I had from April stated a 2yr warranty on batteries. They tried to say there wasn’t a warranty. So that’s how I came to the conclusion this is probably new staff. So then the mechanic says loudly “why didn’t she show the receipt to begin with.” Why didn’t you honor your code?? Now being that the 1st experience wasn’t a bad one, I decided to try them 1 more time. You know maybe a bad week, we are human. I needed my other car worked on for a battery or alternator. I called prior to having my car towed if they service for alternator repair because they gave me a battery before. I was informed that “yes, of course, bring the car in, we’ll see what’s wrong with it.” Now they tagged it as a “No start”. They were busy the 1st day so I’m like okay I get it there were ppl ahead of me.The 2nd day, the morning shift woman says “oh we don’t do motor work,” now this is the same woman I spoke to, about if they could figure out my problem. This is twice now this same woman has not been on top of her job. Smolic, Please get her some customer service training!! Do you know how irritated I was?? I received no apology, no type of solution, just two days lost of use of my work vehicle. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!
Unless you know the owner or someone who works there expect to be there for at least a few hours regardless of the time of day or what services you want. I was just getting tires installed & balanced & was still there for 4 hrs despite the fact I was there before they opened. It’s not 1st come 1st serve like they claim they pick & choose what they want to do & when.
Love this place. Been coming here for years and always have great service. They dont take appointments so my advice is this:Never go on a Monday, its the busiest and Tuesday can be sketchy as well.Try to go in the morning, be prepared to wait or be able to leave your car.
This is my second day coming to see if they could help me fix me car. I came 23 mins away from home. For the owner to say he doesn’t wanna fix on my car. I was told from two woman answering the phone that they could help me. A waste of time I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here. THE LACK COMMUNICATION & someone who answers the phone will tell you something totally different when you arrive. Talk to the owner anyone below him has no power to make any decisions in this place. They will mislead you and won’t care about the inconveniences they cause you.
This place is very rude and unprofessional. Not the employees but the owners (Carrie Smolic and her husband). We came to rectify a suituation that we were still having with previous work they did in October 2020. When we got there we were met with a very nasty, disrespectful, unprofessional attitude from Carrie Smolic After giving us the run around to resolve the issue, we finally were told to come back the next day to rectify situation. We come back the next day and were met with the same if not more aggressive attitudes from both owners(Carrie Smolic and her husband). They were loud and rude and defensive and not willing to correct their errors or let anyone talk. I have never received or seen such disrespectful behavior from so called business owners. They were in the wrong, and when asked to prove they did the correct work, they were angry and unprofessional.They refused to accommodate us with the solution they told us to come back up there for. They knew they did not perform the work and did not want to compensate us. We left dissatisfied, disappointed, with the same car issues we came there for, none of our original parts we paid for, a bunch of lies and excuses. WILL NEVER RETURN AND ADVISE YOU NOT TO AS WELL, THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND THEY DESERVE A ZERO. Even when I had NTB on the phone They refused to listen to NTB about the issue Smolic supposedly fixed. So sad they dont know who knows who in todays world smh 🤣 good luck in life God doesnt like ugly. Willing to risk your business for a few dollars. DUMMIES
When I first had major work done here (twice in one year) they were fantastic ! Great! No complaints. But now here we are in October, my last major car repair was in July, I have had issues with the same tire and “wheel” since then, and up until yesterday, has been handled exceptionally well. Today though, I was accused of getting work done elsewhere and blaming the damage on this shop. I’ve come in several times and because the terms “plug” and “patch” are so different... Brenda? Assumed I had lied about the entire ordeal. I was told 11/4/2020 that my vehicle was ready for pick up, I arrive 11/5/2020 8am to find my vehicle parked with the plastic dangling off the bottom of the vehicle, trunk popped, and THE SAME FLAT tire. Except now it had a “sealant” around the rim, yet the tire was still flat. Had a verbal sparing match in regards, I continued to ask to just pay so I can leave but not with her having to “make it clear” that I couldn’t have gotten the tire fixed here before. I won’t be returning any longer.
Incredibly busy for a reason honest, extremely knowledgeable and reasonable prices for their services...get in line at 8AM and hopefully youll be blessed to meet Theresa she is a pint sized, gives it to you straight with no chaser, Lady Boss of Smolics...if they cant fix whats wrong, with your car, she gives exemplary referrals, to shops that also provide courteous, professional and reasonably priced services!
Yes, honest mechanics do exist! I was quoted a price for parts and when I arrived to pick up my car I was informed that they didnt need to replace one of the parts and I ended up paying less than expected. A LOT of other companies would have just let me pay for a replacement part that was never used. I will always send people to Smolic.
Love this place. They take time to let you know whats going with your vehicle and are willing to work with you. I have no.problem referring anyone to this place of business. I wish they offered all care service. They would undoubtedly be my regular mechanics. The prices are excellent as well, they dont try to empty your pockets to fix your car
Allegedly:Horrendous experience!!!Two years …4 visits in putting in my truck’s air conditioner.1 . First time ordered the wrong air conditioner2. Second time put in an old air conditioner unit and got caught3. Didn’t attach the hoses properly after fitting in the unit, belt was put on wrong . I went to another auto repair establishment . He said the hoses were still curled up and tucked away…Smolic never reconnected them to the engine… that’s why there was too much air mixture in the engine.So much wasted time…..two summers without air conditioning!!!

YOUNG LADY WAS POLITE ND QUICK TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS GAVE ME A FAIR PRICE ON A TIRE CAME IN ND GOT THE JOB DONE YESTERDAY IN AND OUT , YES ABOUT 3 VEHICLES AHEAD BUT SEEMED PRETTY QUICK TO ME .... AS I WAS THERE OTHERS WAITED BUT WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PLACE AS OF ME IM SATISFIED WILL BE MY NUMBER ONE TO GO PLACE 🙌🏽💯
They know their business. Honest and reliable car mechanics. The owner (female) knows her stuff. Family business passed down and a pillar in the community. If we dont go to the dealer we go to Smolic. Excellent prices and excellent workmanship. Stand by their warranties.
I turned the car in at 8:30AM, no call back all day, had to call in around 1:45PM to check the status of low air causing tire sensors to go off frequently. They said there were no issues found, even though the tire sensors are going off. The person on the phone said they would call right back, never called back. I called again at 3:00PM, was placed on hold for 10min, so I hung up. I went there at 4:00PM after work and the car was ready, oddly. One tire was patched and another was resealed. The price was shockingly awesome. Kind of an odd experience, with a little uncertainty, but they got the job done?Update 11/9/2019: The same tires are continuously low again. I had to fill them up with air twice now, so I guess Smolic did not do the job.
They operate on a first come first serve basis. So be there early. This is the best experience Ive had when getting my car repaired. They were kind and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. They fixed it fast!! I didnt have to wait around all day and call them repeatedly. I will definitely go back if I ever need any repairs in the future. I also apprecited the ride home while my car was being repaired..Thanks ☺
My family and I have been going there for years since I was little and they are amazing, fast, reliable, and dependable. Every time I take my car there, I never have to bring it back except for oil changes. I recommend everyone to go there for their wonderful customer service, low prices, and fast service.
If I could rate Smolic Tire a 0, I would! I took my car there in July for TIRES! I asked for a specific brand tires prior to going there which had to be ordered, according to the owners wife. She ordered them and I told her I would be there on a specific date/time. Dropped off the car and came back in 90 minutes. The car had not been touched! I went over to the counter and spoke to the owners wife and she said my car would be next. I left for an hour and came back to get the car. When I went to get my car, she told me that she grabbed the WRONG set of tires and put Kenda tires on my car instead of the Mastercraft tires that I ordered! Who does that without owners permission? She also tried telling me that Kenda tires are a brand of Cooper tires and are better! Really? They are made in Taiwan and have not been affiliated with Cooper/Mastercraft tires since 2009!!! She also said I could bring the car back within 30 days to get the other tires, if I wanted. This particular day was a rainstorm and I had already been there over 2 hours. I took the car home and called back and told her that Id be back next day for the Mastercraft (U.S.A. made tires.) I pulled up and waited there. Staff began to jack up the car and then disappeared for several minutes. I went in to see what was going on. Owners wife proceeded to tell me that she ordered the wrong size in the Mastercraft brand tires. Really? At this point I was extremely upset. I was then told by the owner that he would put on a set of Cooper ties for nearly $25.00 a tire more! Wow! I was told that the tires I wanted could be in between 2-4 pm same day and to bring the car back.I waited until about 1:30 and called them back to check the status of the tire order. Owners wife said that she didnt realize, that due to Covid, Smolic tires is only receiving 1 tire delivery per day. Apparently, she did not know this was going on for 4 months until that particular day!! I believe I had been lied to and that this place is pushing the Kenda brand tires because they must not pay much for them and they are making tons of money pushing these tires off on their Customers. A friend of mine had a similar experience with them as well and pushed Kenda tires on her too! Needles to say, I went back a 3rd time that same week, and had them put back my old Mastercraft tires on my car. I took my car to Confident Car Care & Tire in Euclid and had my Mastercraft tires put on and for even cheaper price than Smolic!! Im not sure what happened to them. My dad loved going there. I never had good luck with this place! I will be bringing my business to Confident Car Care & Tire from now on. No appointment and in & out quickly! Dave will take care of you! The prices were great but the thing that will stop me from EVER returning is a lady named Karen (I think). She is an older black woman who is extremely rude and condescending. When I called to get an estimate she told me I cant multi task so you gonna have to just hold on! and abruptly placed me on hold! I held for exactly 13 mins and finally she picked up and immediately hung up on me! I called back and she seemed to be annoyed that I called back after SHE hung up on ME! I finally made my way up there still giving them the benefit of the doubt because of all the good reviews. After all was said and done, the prices were great! Now, I hate to be that guy but I think that lady is on drugs based off her appearance and behavior. Im sorry Smolic but customer service for me is huge and because I see other people have had issues and you guys arent rectifying, I wont be returning. Its a competitive market and Id rather get great prices AND great customer service.
I went to Smolic because my tire light came on in my car. They checked my tire pressure first to see which one was low and then I noticed that my front 2 tires were pretty much bald. So I got 2 gently used tires/dam near new tires ( they still had the feelers on the side of the tires like brand new tires have) (not sure if thats what they are actually called) for $75 a piece.I didnt like that I had to stand the whole time ( for an hour and 20 min) but I do understand that its a COVID19 pandemic and I am guessing they didnt have suitable seating for sanitary reasons.
I went to get an oil change for the first time. I got there at 1:06pm. The place closed at 2pm. Karen, not sure her role in the company because she was just sitting on a stool, said to me (very rudely), were closed, after she asked me how she could help me. I then said, I thought you all dont close until 2pm? She then says yeah, but we are closed for oil changes. I asked her, When should I have gotten here to be able to get an oil change? She says, at least an hour in advance..(mind you, it was only 6minutes after the hour).......So I left, and decided to call back because I was offended with her attitude towards me. When I called back I explained to her that it was just 6minutes past the hour. She goes on to very sarcastically explain to me that it had nothing to do with the time, they are just finished with oil changes for today, first come first serve. As she explained, she called me, (a 45 yr old woman), baby and dear, being facetious in my opinion, while I hear someone laughing in the back.I was so excited to come to this placed based upon the reviews because I am new to the area, moving just up the road to Richmond Hts. This left such a bad impression, that I will never patronize this place again irregardless of the proximity or prices. Customer service can make or break a company, and with people like this representing your business, things need to be really reconsidered.Chari
Smolic was highly recommended by a friend so I ended up buying 4 tires/warranty for what I thought was a decent price as opposed buying them from the dealer. Every few months the left front tire had to have air in it and each time I took it back no problem and when I asked why I was told because I drive the freeway and the temperature was hot (same tire each time). Then a bubble appeared in the tire, when I took the car back I was told I needed a new tire and when I mentioned the warranty I was told there was less than a 1/4 of thread left so the warranty was no good. Now I only put 1000 miles on the car since I brought the tires. Not trusting the lady another friend suggested I take it to another shop. All 4 tires had 3/4 thread but of course 1 had the bubble and it was suggested I only replace the bubble tire. I guess Smolic didnt want to replace the tire. To lie to me and deny the use of the warranty makes me think theyre taking advantage of a lot of people. Theyre always busy and theyre knowledgeable and get customers in and out quickly but how much work is done unnecessarily at the cost to the customer. I was taken advantage of for not knowing and them not being honest. SHAME ON YOU.
My family has been receiving service from Smolic for years with great service (smiles, great prices and timely)....until yesterday. I called and a new voice answered. I was left on hold for 15 minutes just to be hung up on. I called back and the new receptionist said I cant do two things at once and put the phone down. When she picked the phone back up (about 10 minutes later) she asked what was wrong with my car. I gave her the list and she rudely said we dont do all that here except the wheel bearing! I ATTEMPTED to say so what about the coolant and brake fluid? but I was cut off by her YELLING Maam we said we dont do any of that here! Dont bring your car here if we dont do any of that! I said so dont bring my car for a top off and wheel bearing? She rudely said why would you bring your car here for some oil?! I said dont bring your car here!I asked to speak with the manager. She said he was under the car and hung up on me. I tried calling back SEVERAL TIMES and was hung up on each time. Between the hangups I even heard her being rude to a customer that was already there and the customer replied ok, ok sheesh. So..I got dressed and went up there to speak with the manager. She kept trying to grab me and talk so sweet in front of the manager (baby/honey I didnt hang up on you). The manager didnt show much concern because he left me to confront her myself. I reminded her that she hung up on me several times, kept talking over me and wouldnt let me get a word in. After the manager left, the new receptionist made it clear that shes a 53 year woman who doesnt have to apologize. She began yelling for somebody to get me.I noticed that Smolic is always busy and a receptionist was needed. But all help is not always good help. As long as this woman is working here, my family and I will take our business elsewhere.
Very impressed with prices, speed, quality of merchandise & esp great customer service- esp Carrie- was in & out in 20 minute for a new tire w 2 yr road hazard Warrantee - half the price of the dealer. 2 friends highly recommended Smolic on e 200th St - Cleveland and after going there for the first time - I now know why!
Yet again, smolic goes above and beyond the norm to ensure their customers are satisfied. My minor issue became major once we got the tires off, it was clear ( I was standing right there) my previous mechanic didnt tighten my axle bolts. They got things right and hardly charged me for it. I go out of my way to come to smolic tire!!!
I hate to break up this 5 star love affair but long story short. I went to get a tire replaced I was impressed with the speed and seemingly good service but they ruined my tire low air sensor! The lady tried to tell me that the battery was probably dead but it was just fine before your guys changed my tire. It let me know every morning that my left front tire was low. So how could it die in the 15 minutes that it took to change a tire??? Not happy about that had to pay to get that fixed myself. Wont be going back. Just cause their fast and smiling doesnt mean they know what their doing. The tire was ok for a used one. Just didnt know it would cost me the price of a new tire!!!
Very, very disappointed, yes they saved me money on tires but they over torqued my lug nuts. They were well over 10 lbs torque. I’m trying to change my brakes and I had to use a cheater bar with all my weight (200lbs) to loosen the lug nuts. The real kicker is that I had a wheel lock on my car and it sheared the inside of it due to the amount of torque on it. Smolic Tire will not refund the cost of a new one which is $42.00, granted that I only had my new tires a month so they weren’t corroded or taken off since. So now I’m driving with bad brakes cause I can’t get my wheels off. Kia has to order a new wheel lock and it will take 7 days for a new one. Yes smolic tire said they would loosen the lug nuts but not refund the price of the part broken due to negligence. Lug nuts are supposed to be torqued with a torque wrench, they use a impact gun that well exceeds the spec. So now I have to hope when I get the new one it doesn’t shear again. To add insult to injury, the wheel lock kit I had in my trunk was clean and intact, when I got it out to attempt to take my wheel off all my lug nuts were out rolling around and there was grease over the entire package. And I brushed that off till now. I had Smolic Tire programmed in my phone because they were going to get my business again. But for them not to reimburse a $42.00 part for all the trouble I’m going through right now not to mention the time wasted is unprofessional. I’m sure there is a more professional place I can take my car too. I guess you get what you pay for.
Literally the best place to take ur car to! If your problem is something they fix their going to do it well. And they always beat others prices. Idk why I even call around.. Love everyone there, they’ve done a lot for me while being a male in my 20s tryna keep my life together lol.. smolic over anyone else!!
Gave my car Pontiac G6 as it wasn’t starting explained clearly as it starts once in three days and it doesn’t start later.Unfortunately the car started when they were checking what’s wrong, they said They checked battery and starter is good and the car is good they said.They said I had to fix brakes,rotors and some other parts which costed me $500.I paid them to fix all the parts and started the car, very next day it doesnt start.The mechanic from smolic again came to my house and tried many times to start the engine and yes the engine started he claimed that its an issue with the ignition and asked to visit some other store to fix the ignition thing.Took the car to the other store and he tested and said its an issue with the starter.Found that SMOLIC claimed to get money let it be from any way without fixing the primary issue.Went back to them and told them that it wasnt an issue with ignition as said by them.They didnt even talk or listen properly which I said.I fixed my car at the other store paying 325$.PATHETIC, HORRIBLE SERVICE, UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE AT SMOLIC.
Been waiting 45 minutes! No one even in the office to take your name and see what work I need done. After a 45minute wait I asked if someone could just take my name and the man in charge started to YELL AT METHIS IS BY FAR THE WORST TORE PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I WOULD RATHER WALK EVERYWHERE THAN SPEND A DOLLAR OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY IN THIS PLACE. THEY HAVE ZERO CARE FOR THE CUSTOMERS. Then even gave me a tire with a BROKEN BELT! UNBELIEVABLE! HORRID PLACE TO SPEND YOUR MONEY.They may be busy but that wont last forever if this is how they do buisness. I left there having been not only treated badly but truthfully in tears the man was so NASTY

2022-02-09As a regular long time customer Today I stopped in after getting a reading on why my engine light was on. The diagnosis came back that I needed a thermostat. Normally when I go i speak with the owner to see if she can fix or if she can’t she would recommend me someone or advise on what to do . No familiar faces there today so I asked the lady at the do you guys fix thermostat. She went to ask one of the men and the rude white boy with the mushroom hair cut and Tatoos respond rudely “like damn this is a tire shop” I heard him threw the window. No would have been sufficient . I won’t be back after again . Customer service means everything. No need to be rude.

2022-03-04Smolic is a wonderful auto shop, the receptionist was so sweet, she answered all of my questions and the mechanic that serviced my vehicle explained alot to me about my tire pressure and he told me what to look for in the future with purchasing tires, I would refer other ladies there.

2022-01-13We get our tires from Smolic and they are always reasonably priced. My wifes tire blew two times (perhaps it was defective or maybe just bad luck) and Smolic honored their warranty no questions asked. Also had my rotors and break pads replaced on my Honda CRV and was surprised how much cheaper Smolic was than other places. This is a great business.

2022-03-24I went up to smolic tire this morning and presented the owner with a card she gave me to take care of my they asked me whats wrong with the car I told them whats wrong with the car my tires I only went to this shop because I was told I would be looking at a discount but instead they put all new tires on my car for 121 dollars each without even telling the price first when I could have gotten the tires from some where else I will never go back to this shop again when they could have had the decency to quote me the price BEFORE they put anything on my car
